If I could give more than 5 stars, I would A friend & I were in town for one night We had a room with a view of the Arch

The room was nice & clean with a beautiful view! All of the staff we met were so nice, friendly & helpful I totally plan on taking my husband there for a weekend awayThe only thing that we thought needs changed are the pool hours Closing the pool at 10? We couldn’t swim because of the amount of kids in the pool and hot tubs It would be nice if the pool area kept open until midnight, but closed to under 18 after 9 or 10, so others without kids could enjoy it

DragonBreath

Excellent experience Clean comfortable and great view of the arch The hotel is right next to the arch grounds

The 5:30 free dinner happy hour was wonderful 3 free drinks! (Attached video) Lobby has a full coffee bar and fountain drinks Had a great conversation with the very friendly front desk clerk and she just randomly upgraded our room for free! I definitely recommend a stay here

Brianna Reno

Greatly enjoyed our time at Drury Inn right next to the Arch The views were amazing, loved walking across the street to the Arch We met family here and had four rooms

We were all on the same floor and it made hanging out together great The staff was extremely nice and we chatted frequently in depth with many of them We stayed over Easter weekend and they were always cleaning and keeping it clean while the surge arrived on Friday and dissipated by Monday Having a full breakfast and full dinner was a great perk! Saved so much money by having two hot meals provided a day (plus adult beverages in the evening) We will be back! The interior was exceptional; we loved the aesthetic of the hotel Keep up the great work!

First thing to keep on mind is that this is a Best Western Plus, not a Ritz Carleton It’s the higher end of a lower end chain It’s a very basic hotel

I’m rating it with that mindsetThat said, for a BWP it’s a solid 4/5!The room was very clean other than a few spots on the curtains 4/5 The bathroom door handle was a little broken, but still closed and locked no problemBed/pillows/blankets were very comfortable – 5/5The shower pressure was really good – 4/5The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful – 5/5!Definitely recommend staying here!

Honestly one of the best hotels we have stayed in It smelled fresh and clean as soon as you walk through the doors We took our 7 kiddos on a 4 day vacation and have zero complaints as far as to the cleanliness of the hotel rooms and the staff’s friendliness

The breakfast was hot every morning with waffles, eggs, hash browns, sausage, coffee, tea, oatmeal, hot chocolate, tea and toast There was also yogurt, cereal, danishes, milk, orange juice, apple juice and fresh fruit The only thing we were annoyed by a bit was a group at the swimming pool splashing in everyone’s faces, throwing small children into the pool and then leaving a busted diapers filling on the bathroom floor Other than that, we would definitely stay here again

Charles Thorman

Had a reservation for 2 months in advance Went to check in and was told my Gold member rate was now higher because I hadn’t mentioned I had 2 kids on the reservation It was for a 2 queen bed room

Total guests it can accommodate is 4 But because I didn’t specify that originally, my charge was now $30 higher When I now go to view room rates, it does NOT change based on how many people I have on the reservation It has NEVER affected my rate as a rewards member or otherwise Front desk lady was not helpful and was not willing to honor reservation price Went to a different BW down the road who was much better anyway

The hotel itself was beautiful! The valet service was decent, but the customer service at the front desk and the food/beverage counter needs to improve We felt more like an inconvenience to them rather than a valued patron The room was spacious and accommodating, but lacked a microwave, hair dryer, and body wash was empty

All in all a decent hotel in a great location, but needs improvement to live up to the price point

Heidi George

Staff courtesy was hit or miss, depending on the day The person checking us in was a bit condescending and unhelpful and the valet was too busy on his cell phone to even offer service, not that we wanted it Other people on other days were quite friendly and courteous, opening doors and helping with the luggage cart

The maintenance staff was excellent – fixed the slow-draining sink in our room and left a nice note thanking us for bringing it to their attention The room was smallish but decent, with a nice view of downtown No microwave in the room, which was odd – first time I’ve stayed in a hotel and not had one Overall a comfortable stay

Jay Pietkiewicz

It was OK Room was clean and spacious Decent room amenities, but most of the others for the hotel were closed during our stay

Might have been good to know ahead of time Staff was nice but not very accommodating Asked to pay extra for a rollout bed in a double suite, but was told it would not fit The room had plenty of space So as I said it was OK Would have expected better for the price

This hotel is spectacular We came into town to visit the baseball stadium and stayed in one of the suites, and it was one of the more impressive rooms we’ve stayed in during our travels Although it may be loud for some, we loved the energy just outside our window from the game

The location is prime We traveled with two young children and to be able to go in and out of the stadium with the hotel right there was a lifesaver We were also able to be a part of the fun from our balcony or just steps outside of the hotel for games we weren’t going to The accommodations are clean, modern, and spacious and everything in our room was top notchMy only complaints are that this location is hard to get to when they block of streets for baseball games, the front desk said police usually let guests bypass the cones but it was a bit stressful to find our way Also, the hotel put over $1,000 in holds on my card in addition to the full cost of the room, our parking, and our restaurant bill I think it will end up not clearing and the front desk said not to worry about it, but I’ve never had additional holds for close to 100% of our room rate put on my card I’ll be keeping an eye on the pending transactions to make sure they don’t clear as the host assured me they wouldn’tIf we are ever in St Louis again, we would absolutely consider this hotel again Thanks for the memories!

Shaleitha Kohliem

The hotel is gorgeous Spacious and clean I love the restaurant options in the hotel

The hustle and bustle of St Louis, it’s nice not to leave out We had the sweetheart special with the sparkling wine, truffles, and 2:00 pm check out, well worth the money However, I didn’t enjoy the stay because we also paid extra for a city view and our view was a parking garage This may be because the hotel is only 8 stories high Very disappointing

T Clark

If you’re attending a Cardinal’s game, this is the place to stay You cannot get any closer to the stadium Valet parking is quick and easy

Front desk associates were very helpfulYou’re also within easy walking distance to the Arch and City GardenIf you’re staying on a game night, you will be able to hear the noise of the game (we were on the stadium side) I personally liked it, but it is not for everyoneI’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 because the pillows were not comfortable We only stayed in the room to sleep, and with uncomfortable pillows, it was enough to impact the rating Everything else was great though

Had a very memorable service experience here passing through town & booking a room last minute for a discounted rate Unfortunately they were very booked when we arrived & had run out of non smoking rooms (attached to a casino), I wasn’t looking forward to staying in a smoking room so they kindly arranged for me to stay in an upgraded suite that was non smoking The suite was spacious, comfortable, & had a great view

Ordered an amazing crab Cobb salad from room service and had a chance to unwind for a few hours Wouldn’t hesitate to return when I’m in the area Thank you!

I had booked a hotel yesterday for my girlfriend’s bday We enjoyed the Cinder House The only thing we didn’t like were the front desk staff

They were rude and not welcoming I called down and asked where can I find the room snack prices because there wasn’t a menu The lady said she wasn’t sure and asked someone else She then said she’ll bring one up I never received one Then I realized the snack part wasn’t stocked and beverages were missing I called to let them know that and the phone wasn’t answered Two different housekeepers came in at separate times to clean the room, both said they didn’t know anyone had the room and apologized One asked if I needed towels I said yes because the shelve was nearly empty It made me question if the room was completely put together after that, because we had to wait for our room to be cleaned in the first place I then told them about the snack compartment being nearly empty They told me someone would come When that person came they asked me why didn’t I call down I said I did and no one answered We later went downstairs and the ladies had an attitude It was obvious they ignored the phone call My girlfriend had a great time I just wish the front desk people had better customer service skills

Aaron Madden

The hotel is beautiful The design, smell, and architecture is something to see The service not so much

All of the people were very friendly but some of them lacked knowledge They don’t seem to have control over the parking garage as my girlfriend and I waited for 45 minutes to get an attendant in the booth to let us in Amenities and space of the room are amazing You won’t find that in many hotels in STL The food was decent but you would expect higher quality with such prices Again, the service was amazing and they made sure to keep up their customer service I would go back but I’ll try to find something better before I commit

Stayed in this hotel for almost two weeks The staf is friendly and my room was clean and comfortable No cleaning was done during the weekend

The bed was good which is kind of most important for me The hotel is close to the highway so easy to connect with other places Didn’t use the pool but you could already smell it at the entrance The breakfast was not particular my favorite Pre-packed burgers/sandwiches which could be heated in some kind of pan was a bit weird for me Fresh fruit was good

LaJoya J.

I booked and paid a hotel room tonight at Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott-Pontoon Beach When I was walking in I saw a sign that said can not book to someone within 50 miles I provided my ID and debit card for the hold fee

The front desk agent Paula states I can not check in due to my address on my id being Florissant,MO I attempted to explain I just moved and have not gotten my new id She explains it does not matter she has to go by the address on the id My girlfriend said if there was a way she could put it in her name She said yes I explained how would that work if I paid for the reservation Paula said I have to call who I booked the hotel with I first called Marriott customer service and they said there was nothing they could do because I didn’t book through them Since I used the Hopper App I chatted with someone who then got in touch with Marriott and switched the name to my girlfriend While we were waiting, a woman checking in asked about the sign Paula answered it was due to COVID Mind you NO ONE had a mask on not even Paula So if COVID is such an issue then why wouldn’t she be wearing a mask? My opinion is because this hotel and others in the area do not want people from St Louis booking rooms with them This issue is discriminatory to me I’ve booked hotels all the time and never ran into this issue What if I wasn’t with my girlfriend? I would have had to sleep in my car or drive 6 hrs home This situation should have NEVER happen

Hotel is adjacent to a rough neighborhood but you’ll have that when you stay downtown in a large city Hotel itself is gorgeous and all of the staff we met were incredibly kind and helpful I wish I’d have gotten the valets name from when we checked out – he was amazing

He was super kind to our pups and helped my hubby load the truck so we could easily continue on our adventure He also helped to check us out efficiently We will definitely stay here againOur room was well thought out, with a huge shower in the bathroom Beautiful furniture and a truly eclectic and welcoming vibe

I totally feel like I underpaid for this stay! What a nice hotel with amazing historic properties Loved the exposed ceilings and all of the Art Deco but modern touches The security was an added bonus, all the elevators needed the key card to go up to the floors

Beds and pillows were comfortable and the room was very clean The large walk in showers were just exquisite! I will say that any modern hotel I’ve stayed in lacks hooks or bars in the bathroom Only one hook and one bar in the bathroomJust so you know, there is no self parking included here There are pay lots very close or street parking but the hotel only has Valet that was $30 a day We parked on the street the first night on Sunday since it was free, but the city starts charging at 8am Monday It’s all by the Park mobile app which was easy to use

Shylah Kunick

Pros: The views are awesome! There is an obvious level of attention to detail in the artistry through the entire hotel Most of the employees I interacted with were friendly and helpful, especially Luke at the front desk! The morning of check out we hung by the pool and that was the BEST experience we had at the hotel! We got lounge chairs and enjoyed the incredible city skyline The pool water was mostly clean and refreshing in between sun bathing

Cons: check in was at 3 and we couldn’t get our room until 7pm! I’ve never experienced this before at any hotel, much less a high end place We tried to enjoy the rooftop pool and bar while we waited but it was disappointing The place was packed with day pass people There was nowhere to sit and the pool was… Incredibly dirty I think someone puked in the water or something because yikes There was only one bartender and she was out of every single drink I asked for, including the ones advertised on her chalk board… she was way overwhelmed That was a 3 person job she was doing aloneRedeemed: after waiting for two hours upstairs, we finally came down to the lobby bar They comped our drinks, two each, while down there waiting for another hour They comped our valet, $30 also They still couldn’t get our room by 7 so they gave us an “upgrade” which took our regular king room to one with a sitting space We didn’t need that but we were glad to finally have access to a room to freshen up and unwind in!I can only assume the hotel is seriously understaffed right now, causing the struggles we experienced This seems to be a common problem these days, though Hopefully they can get it figured out because I think we would have really enjoyed the hotel otherwise!

I had a weekend getaway for my granddaughters and we all were VERY happy with the stay First of all the cookies are to die for My mouth is drooling now on the keyboard just thinking about them

The girls swam and slept like logs on the comfy bed in the room Sunday morning Porter’s the adjoining restaurant had a buffet breakfast filled with high quality tasty food both hot and cold Not to forget the Starbucks coffee or assortment of teas available Kudos to Kiele who provided top notch assistance in helping me at Porters We will return and I will probably fast first so I won’t feel guilty about eating the great cookies and Porters steak

Brittany Piggee

Property not maintained as well as it should’ve been Trash cans outside the hotel were full to capacity, sidewalks cracked, baseboards were filthy, lighting was horrible, chair in room had a white stain on it (kinda scared to know what it was), headboards were peeling, and the front desk clerk wasn’t very friendly If this place put more time and effort into the hotel’s rooms and hallways as they did in the front lobby, it would be 10x better

It’s definitely time for an upgrade The only thing that was comfortable was the bed We had initially planned to stay three nights, but quickly changed our minds once we saw the hotel and all of its flaws

Vanessa Shackelford

They gave us warm cookies and cold water at the front desk when we checked in The guy that checked us in was honestly really pretentious about us checking in 5 minutes earlier than what we said online Our first room was disappointing for the price we were paying

It didn’t have a refrigerator or a microwave (Personal complaint; all the soaps have lavender in them so I couldn’t use any of it because I’m allergic to lavender) the fan in the air conditioner was broke so it only got more hot in the room They did upgrade us to a room with a couch and fridge/microwave with working air conditioning but the unit was so loud that it woke us up every time it kicked on throughout the night Morning staff was much more pleasant than evening staff Also poor drainage in both bathrooms

What a great experience! The staff went out of their way to insure a great weekend The text concierge option was amazing If I needed something I sent a text and the team at the hotel would respond and answer in minutes

What a nice feature Our suite overlooking the ballpark was really nice One of the best hotel experiences I’ve had…and I’m a hardened business traveler

Kevin Hacker (Khacker)

I went to the Hilton at the Ballpark for a family wedding The venue was very nice

There was plenty of space for the cocktail hour, and dinner The dance floor was a pretty good size There is plenty of room for the electric slide, a beer barrel polk and a disco dance Avoid time was had by all Parking was an amenity of the wedding party Overflow parking directed to Stadium East after valley parking was full I would recommend The Hilton for sure

Matthew Himmelhaver

The first night we were moved twice due issues with our room (smell, toilet that wouldn’t shut off that flooded the room) We were finally put into a room that was less than the category room we paid for That room was dirty (dark dust stuck to the ceiling from air blowing out of AC, dust covering lamps, furniture, etc

) No one offered any apologies until check out when we asked to speak to a manager She was very kind and reduced out rate while covering parking for 2 nights Despite the room issues, we were most disappointed with the front desk staff who offered no apology or seemed concerned about the previous rooms we were placed into They seemed annoyed by us As a diamond rewards member I’ve stayed at many Hilton properties, this was by far the most disappointing Ive never asked to change rooms until this weekend, and it happened twice Great location, but a lot is lacking here Roof top bar is awesome! Breakfast at the restaurant was good

A Valet parking overnight is a whopping $45 versus self-park, $35, both being ridiculously overpricedB

Majority of the “ritzy” feel is in the lobby area; the rooms are basic, albeit cleanC They didn’t invest in soundproofing their windows even though the hotel is right by a busy road and the highway, so you hear cars late into the night and beginning early in the morningD QR code for restaurant for room service doesn’t properly work I went from Google to access the menu, both of which lack healthier (and/or vegan subs for things like sausage and bacon)If you’re going to be a “top tier” hotel then service and options must be top in all things Parking should be complimentary or $20, tops, when you pay $400+ for a nightMy recommendation is, pick a 3 star over this location: you’ll save money and the service may even be betterAnd dear management, please stop replying with the basic, “I’m sorry you didn’t enjoy your stay Please email us at ” just do better People have already mentioned the lack of compassion from staff, when a lot of your guests stay here because they or a relative are going to the hospital next door (keep your restaurants for room service open until midnight, gift shop until 10, etc) And change your nonsense parking fee That’s what you can do: improve, rather than write nonsensical replies to seem like you care

Irene Zubillaga

The rooms and some areas of the hotel are outdated and the service is terrible No one cleaned the rooms at all any day, we weren’t even warned that there would be no housekeeping We called to ask for at least fresh towels and they never came

Any time the AC was running a really loud humming fan sounds came out of the bathroom, even louder than the bathroom fan which was annoying at night The lobby had infused water one day but missing every other day The one person working the check-in desk had to run to the bell desk to check in and out bags from the bag hold The conference area charges $36+ dollars for wifi even if you’re a hotel guest The one restaurant that’s open during the day was shot at and has a broken window they won’t fix The gym is quite outdated and has no sanitation supplies I’m surprised they get to charge top dollar and offer worse services than an affordable hotel, especially since they didn’t even have the decency to at least let you know at check in

Pure disappointment On the website it says there is rooftop accessibility and room service These were literally the main reasons we booked, looking for a place stay as we are celebrating our engagement

Quickly we found out there’s no room service on weekdays, and no rooftop access How is there no rooftop access on an 80 degree day? They told us it was closed due to weather, I didn’t know nice weather was a reason to close to the roof There’s absolutely nothing special about the rooms, one of the elevators broke when we were in the lobby and management had to close it off after we tried using it and had to complain The Preston was the last savior for us as the coffee shop that is in the hotel was also closed The Preston was also a huge disappointment, we spent $50 on good only to recieve the most bland breakfast possible They also charged us for black coffee, when it’s free in the rooms I will never stay here again unless I feel I’m getting my times worth I’ve gotten better food, service, and respect from a 3 star hotel If you are expecting anything upscale or fancy, this is not the place I wish the hotel would do something to make up for the horrible experience, but it seems that they wish you would have a better time next stay, without actually doing anything to improve the experience I spent over $600 here and felt it was worth nothing near Save your money, this place is cheap If you want me to change my mind, do something instead of just wishing it was better next time

Location is great, right next to the arch and within walking distance to Busch Stadium, not a ton of traffic in immediate area The hotel employees were all very nice for the most part but this hotel should not be branded a Hyatt It was dirty, towels all over the hallways, our floor had some nasty sticky patch on the carpet had to cover it with a towel

Bathrooms need updating The employees deserve a better product to sell Was not happy with check-in Get there 20 minutes before 4:00pm told no room available and when asked if I should come back in 20 minutes will it be ready, was told yes Come back in 20 minutes to be told still not ready, that they are light staffed on housekeeping (everyone is) and that they have no clue when we would get into our room We had just driven 8 hours and had a game to go to so she spoke to the manager on our behalf and a room was available Very long lines for everything – Starbucks, breakfast buffet, check-in Parking deck is gross and hot an not enough spaces to accommodate guests, very tight and small underground parking The stairwell is disgusting and they are charging like $40/night! Also, beware staying there on Cardinals game nights, the hotel will be super noisy all hours through the night Overall, even though the employees are good they cannot salvage this hotel, very disappointed in our stay overall especially for the price we paid

We ended up at the Hyatt unexpectedly & were overall happy with our experience We were able to pay $25 to check in early which was greatly appreciated after being up since 3am Our room was ok, view was awesome! The front desk staff were all super nice and helpful

My only real complaint was no extras of any kind-no makeup removing towelettes, lotion, slippers or even extra bedding Maybe it’s a theft or sustainability thing but I guess when I’m spending $300/night I expect those The pillows and bed were also a bit firm but not the worst I’ve experienced Oh, the sports bar downstairs is great! Bartender was nice and helpful

I just had my 4/30/2022 wedding at the Hyatt and it was an amazing experience! Almost all of my guests were from out of town and stayed at the Hyatt Everyone reported great experiences with their rooms and customer service here at the Hyatt In terms of the wedding, wow, Lisa Sabin is so talented at her job

She was incredibly responsive to emails, so detail oriented and organized in planning the whole wedding ceremony and reception In terms of the venue itself, the Gateway East and Terrace was everything we ever imagined for our ceremony and reception with a dance floor and ceremony that felt outside but was still inside The view of the Arch was just a bonus! Everything on our wedding day went so smoothly and I could not recommend Hyatt enough!

The staff was friendly and helpful However the costs for the room is totally for convenience Had to carry our own bags without a cart, booked 6 months in advance and were put over in the Annex on 6th St

A bar was on the corner and they played music until 3 am We got little sleep Called for a different room early but told we had to stay out until the next day Nothing was ever offered and no apologies given If this had been a last minute reservation I would have understood But 6 months in advance we expected better accommodations Won’t stay there again Way overpriced!!

Beautiful pet friendly hotel in an amazing location! We stopped here on our cross country PA to CA trek The staff was incredibly nice and helpful! The bathroom layout could be little inconvenient for anyone traveling with their children or someone other than their significance other, but it wasn’t a huge issue for us (but some might find it an issue) The arch is within walking distance (a beautiful walk too)

My girlfriend and I recently stayed at the Westin St Louis We enjoyed our stay there but accidentally left behind a black dress wrapped in a clear plastic bag hanging in the closet

I contacted the hotel repeatedly but received no good news and conflicting information about when our room was cleaned While I truly appreciate the effort made by the hotel staff to locate this dress, based on the information they give me, I can only believe a housekeeping staff member took it home As I asked the hotel earnestly and politely to continue to help us locate the dress, they stopped replying This dress not only is worth a fair amount of money but also means a lot to us emotionally, and I am very frustrated by this response
