I cannot say enough good things about the Knob Hill Inn The location is perfectly placed on the edge of town, within walking distance to anywhere you’d like to go The rooms were very spacious and clean with beautiful views of the mountains; however the absolute rock stars of the establishment are the workers

Raegan spent so much one-on-one time with us giving personalized suggestions of things to do and places to eat in the area Guido was genuinely one of the nicest people I have ever met in my life Both employees went above and beyond what was expected of typical hotel staff I would stay anywhere these two work Overall, excellent people, incredible hotel, highly recommended!

When you think this place could not get any better, they decide to up the ante In a location that is resort dominated, Knob Hill really shines where the others fall short Everyone there greets you with a smile, can answer any question about the area, and is happy to help their customers with any problem

My girlfriend and I had been to Sun Valley in the past, but decided to try Knob Hill this time We were greeted with unmatched hospitality, were quickly pointed in the direction of an incredible hike and were quickly helped out when we got lost in a new area of town With them, hospitality is literally a phone call away Did I mention that there were cookies at the desk every day when we bothered them with our questions? That alone definitely satiated our sweet tooth and made our trip that much betterThank you to the incredible team at Knob Hill!!

Ben Macmillan

The staff are very friendly and very helpful and always with a smile on their face The location is very close to town and the shuttle will take you about anywhere you need to go even on a short notice if required My wife and I were very impressed with the rooms they’re very large and very accommodating and clean the bathrooms have been updated and even a separate room for the toilet we would highly recommend staying at this Lodge

This was one of our favorite hotel experiences The staff was amazing We went during Covid and the rooms had big tables to eat at, silverware and dishes

The hotel has 2 fabulous hot tubs and a heated pool The hotel has 2 Audis that you can take out at no cost for 2 hours- our room had giant windows that overlooked the town and the mountains The included breakfast was fabulous- they required masks and vaccinations which we loved

Jackie Whitesell

I was looking forward to my stay, but the online booking agency is terrible! They quoted me a rate that was $500 less than what they charged me I called back again when I got my confirmation with the higher charge and was told they could not do anything to adjust about the price Please use caution when booking a room at this hotel

Their customer service if horrible do not use the 1-888 number on their website I called the front desk at the hotel which was much more helpful

Our room was ready for us when we arrived It was very tidy and clean Very cute hotel! Staff was super nice and friendly! The heated pool and hot tub were clean every time we went to them, which was quite frequent

We made a reservation at Barrio75 that is right next to the hotel and it was delicious This was our first time up here in the sun valley area and it was an amazing experience We definitely will be coming back to stay here again!!

Stephanie Wagner

Had a nice 3 night stay at Hotel Ketchum It is conveniently located to walk to all the restaurants and shops in town The aesthetic of the hotel is super cute with a fun vintage vibe

The staff at the front desk and super warm and friendly It is a great value for the area!A few cons: It can be a bit noisy if you are not on the top level, we were able to hear the person above us all through the night Additionally, the gentleman in The Hangout was not friendly to guests and another hotel worker which kind of dampened the morning moodI would still recommend Hotel Ketchum if you are looking for a casual property in a fantastic location

Holly Deines

We traveled to sun valley from Ontario oregon to have a hip replacement for our two year old Rottweiler Hotel Ketchum and staff were absolutely wonderful The room was pet friendly of course but u would never know it due to how very clean it was

I’ve had “pet friendly ” rooms at other hotels that smell so bad we couldn’t stay Thank you hotel Ketchum for making this bad experience a lot more tolerable Keep up the amazing work!

We’ve been to the lodge before, but we wanted to bring our adult children to experience Sun Valley Stayed at the Lodge and the experience was just as good as the last time we visited almost 4 years ago The outdoor pool is awesome as it’s heated to 95 degrees! Visited the SPA and pampered ourselves

Rooms were very nicely updated We will be back for more of the resort and the skiing

Julianna Draper

Pros:- two bedroom suites for families- heated pool- they bring ice directly to room upon request- employees are nice and friendlyCons:- all amenities except for the pool and gym cost extra (pool table, bowling, ice skating, etc)- all amenities close very early or have very limited hours; the game room, the pool, the hot tub and others close at 9:00pm There is an outdoor fireplace in the pool area which we were excited to sit by at night but obviously we couldn’t access past 9:00 The game room doesn’t open until 3:30 on some days and the ice skating closes at 6 I believe

This was very frustrating since we would go to the lake and go hiking during the day and then come back to the resort with nothing to do This is the main reason for the 3 star review- customer service: We requested housekeeping service and it never happened We were put in a room below where they were doing heavy duty construction and it woke us all up at 8am They offered us another room but we didn’t want to move all of our stuff It would have been nice for them to offer a discounted price for our first night for the inconvenience- very expensiveOverall, I would not recommend this hotel It is very overpriced considering most of the amenities are an additional cost and not available during hours when most people are at the hotel

Scott Dorval

Outstanding! The fairly recent remodel of the lodge has kept the wonderful feel of the history of this beautiful place at the same time adding to its five-star appealThe wonderful diversity of the people working here is the base of Sun Valley Resort’s world-class service

02/09/22After a 12 hour day, working outside, digging trenches, in February, we were ready to warm up and relax The woman who checked us in while pleasant in tone, said some incredibly rude things to usWe use high pressure water and suction to dig where machines aren’t allowed

We get dirty and we were dirty during check inShe made us promise to not sit on any of the furniture until we had cleaned up Then, in a polite tone, let us know that we were welcome to stay somewhere elseThe last thing I wanted to do was search for somewhere else to stay I know from experience that check in clerks are allowed to refuse service if they feel a guest will be a problem I understood that if I would voiced my objections to her being so callous and assumptive that we would be denied a roomSo I was pleasant and agreed to not get the room dirty mostly because I’m not an animal and I respect others and their propertyI was informed that I needed to provide a credit card for incidentals This is normal at most hotels What most hotels do is take the cc information just in case long distance calls are made or the room is damaged What this best western did was immediately place a $5000 charge on my cardThe only thing I liked about our room was the comfy bed Other than that, the bed frame made it difficult to sleep because of the headboard The toilet was incredibly short The tub was also really smallIn the morning we searched for a little breakfast to start our day This hotel doesn’t provide anything but coffee, I’d like to point out that a stay will cost $20000 per night Seems expensive for not even a bowl of cerealAll in all I have a choice when choosing where to stay In the future, I will choose to stay somewhere else that isn’t a Best Western

CH3F JAMES (ch3fjames)

I’m absolutely blown away with the friendliness, cleanness, quality and value of this hotel property Check in was a breeze and friendly My room was very clean

You even get a small balcony and I had a fantastic view The amenities are top notch! The sodas in the pop machine are only $125 This hotel is literally at the start of town on Main St You can walk everywhere! I would definitely stay here again if I’m ever in Ketchum and would strongly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling!

Stayed here for a work trip that was supposed to be 2 nights, got notified after the first day that I’m supposed to switch rooms/hotels and that the hotel has packed up my belongings while I was at work – which is bewildering, apparently room changes has been happening to other members of the production crew previous to my stay without warning to them personally While I don’t know what the issue is between whether it’s the hotel or the production crew who made the booking, the hotel was still EXTREMELY unprofessional and rude in dealing with this I wanted to know why I wasn’t made aware of this at the beginning of my stay to the front desk clerk when I came to pick up my belongings, and some lady comes out from the back office being all confrontational from the get go and victim blaming right away, saying I signed the sign in that said it was for one night only and that it’s “my” company’s fault and they didn’t do anything to help (umm what?) I was just confused to be honest, I’m just a contractor coming in for this job and all I know is that I was told this is the hotel I’m staying at, and that when I checked in, the front desk did NOT ask the usual “we have you here for — days?” question that normally is asked, they just checked me in and told me to sign here and there without thinking much

I don’t care what the situation is, but I’m a guest and should not be talked to in this way This lady even made a snide remark “well that’s nice of them” when the front desk clerk asked if I still wanted the food that was in my fridge, since again, they had cleared out the room without my knowledge while I was at work Wow, is it going above and beyond to return ALL belongings that were in the room to someone who has just been blindsided by such a situation?Basically she was blaming me that I should have known just because she liaised with this company, but they should have let the actual guests that were affected by this know at the beginning of their stay if this was a prearranged anomalous situation Given there were also others who had their belongings moved to without their knowledge on this job, I would think not The professional conduct would have been to let the individual guests involved to know of any irregular arrangements at check in, and not behaving in the way this lady has conducted herself towards me To this day, this has been the worst interaction I’ve had with hotel personnel I thought this was the hospitality business? Truly terrible attitude and experience

The staff was always very friendly and worked with me to have a monthly stay at a better cost than anyone else in town, while I was working at the hospital for 3 months Thw only reason I gove 4 atars is because thwy qere building new additions to their hotel right outside my room and i work nights so there was a lot of construction noise amd beeping and hammering all throughout the day They don’t offer many emmenities like a pool or gym, or breakfast, but they have a hot tub

Nancy Au

This was our 3rd hotel in a one week trip and it was the best! I love that there is no carpet

so much more sanitary Windows open which is always a plus Comfy bed Recently renovated & it looks great Exceptionally clean Grassy area with picnic tables and the Wood River trail is right behind the property Highly recommend this motel

Good place to stop on the trail or go to all the sites around the Ketchum / Sun Valley area Everything worked as it should, nice long term customers who stay for months that keep things clean and make the place go Then there were those without a trailer who threw their garbage all over and slept in there cars – dirty mess

PS: You should not allow this kind of thing to go on It did go on for three days Bathrooms were only partially clean, I think people washed their dogs in there – grass and mud – customers get minus 5 stars Should service them more often Quiet, no trouble, close quarters and could only partially extend awning due to big RV next door Not many other places unless you do real camping Likely will not return True what others said about the bathroom / shower – no lock, one stall (does lock) and wait your turn if you can Not good

Josette T

This park is basically the only game in town worth staying Parking area was paved, grass/mud areas not well maintained and some doggy droppings here and there Picnic tables needed cleaning

Spots very close and face each other Book the end spot nearest the dumpster for the most privacy and not facing your neighbors Good communication with owners but never met or saw them entire stay Good location between Ketchum (full of snobs/everything way overpriced); and Hailey (much nicer people and shopping for what you need) We definitely overrated Ketchum for an enjoyable stop and regret wasting our time and money in that town

Mark Bell

Pleasantly surprised 35 stars

After the not so mediocre reviews we went in expecting the worse but actually not too bad Since we ride bikes the Wood river bike trail is right by the park Beautiful 15 min ride to Ketchum and 40 min to Hailey It was quiet but close enough to hear the highway Spots are close together so no awning in most spaces Pads are old asphalt with some grass in between The rest rooms are nothing special but they were clean and had a shower No store, gas, air, rv supplies or food here, the nearest places are in Ketchum about 3 miles Spaces are configured in opposing directions so your door faces your neighbors door on the one side so if you are 2 campers keep that in mind when picking spots then you get the middle grass to share There is room to park extra vehicles on the other side of your camp spot Overall I would definitely stay again and it’s the only game in town for rv s

We have stayed here a couple of times now It’s a quaint hotel with tons of charm The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable

We love the hot tub and heated pool Location is great with beautiful views of the mountains The free breakfast is great for what it is, free! Very friendly staff There is no elevator so be prepared My one complaint is that you can hear everything The walls are pretty thin, so bring a white noise maker! We will definitely be staying again!

Beaner Chorizo

This place was amazing Directly across the street from Bald Mountain parking lot/River run lift Staff was extremely nice, free breakfast was amazing, and the pool/hot tub area was amazing! We walked to Grumpy’s and Casino bar from the hotel and some how walked back

We had a room with two queen beds and a shared balcony Room was extremely clean but a bit on the small side compared to the photos Would definitely stay here again!! Location location location!

Adam T

I can’t say enough good things about this hotel The staff are possibly the nicest and most caring people I have experienced We were dealing with a dog in surgery and needed to stay slightly past check out time and they were kind enough to let us

I actually loved the bed, but I prefer a former bed for my back It was clean and I love that they don’t refuse large dogs Thank you to everyone at the hotel for being so kind to us through a stressful event

MarkNRebecca

The Pros:Booking online was easyCheck in was fastBreakfast good, great coffee

Conveniently located, easy to access nearby places of interestShower, it had amazing water pressureStaff was very niceThe Cons:Way over priced for a dated older facilitySmall room mini fridge no freezer, bought ice cream bars came back and no place to store it uneaten onesA/C units are loud and not filtering air Woke up with dry sore throats from itBed was not great, it did the job but would not want to stay more than a few days Pillows goodNo bathroom fan, felt like a steam sauna in there after a showerPretty noisy, minimal insulation if any between units Doors slamming, could even hear some dude snoring next door at nightUpon entering our room we noticed the window was closed but unlocked Huge window, anyone could have easily entered our room and robbed us blind if we hadn’t checked it This was nothing more than a place to sleep because we were there for other things So not being in our room much at all was concerning as to the safety and security of our belongings

Chandler Petry

If I could give this hotel a 0, I would Worst customer service, and after an awful miscommunication on the staff’s part we asked to speak to the manager to fix things and he actually REFUSED to talk to us (literally told his employee on the phone “i won’t speak to them”) No one was helpful at all and after $600 in the hole we had to end up finding a different place to stay

Avoid this hotel at all costs

I loved the setup of the room! We got one that had 2 beds, with a door between the 2 parts of the room, with the bathroom between They had a nice shower head, and a good coffee setup We enjoyed the pool and hot tub for a bit, it has a very nice seating area around the pool

The man that checked us in was very nice and informative We had a great experience!

Laura Taylor

I can’t believe how lucky we were to find this hotel! It’s an absolute steal compared to all other lodgings we looked at in the Sun Valley area (all of which had at least $50 or more in fees tacked on at the end) Nice big rooms with a big TV, fridge/microwave, Keurig, nice bathroom, and even a yoga mat with a booklet of stretches! The breakfast is amazing, the pool and hot tub area are really nice, nice big fitness center, fire pit outside, and we loved the water bottle filling station (like they have at airports) too The hotel is in a great location to those visiting Sun Valley– we will definitely be back in the future!

Jen Clinton

Definitely worth the money and then some! Clean, high quality linens, superb staff, yoga mat and bands in the room for exercising (not that I did), chess and checkers available to play in the lobby Good sound proofing, hot water, good location, doing their part to be eco-friendly I would’ve expected to pay $200-$300 a night for this type of place

(But it’s not) Highly recommended!
