Clean, beautiful units, pleasant garden area and common area similar to an English Bed & Breakfast Safe & easy to access parking lot that’s secured Cafe next door for any quick bites or coffee/tea, and community gardens next to cafe

Kind staff Also there are random events like Jurassic Park movie night in Greenhouse with free snacks and drinks – very cute!

Benson May

Lovely experience overall Exactly as pictured, our room was exceptionally clean and well stocked with numerous cute welcome snacks/tea/coffee All-stone shower was a highlight

We stayed in the room with bunk beds and an in-suite bathroom, the space was perfect for two and felt spacious with the separate dining table under the bay windows! Each staff member we met was friendly and excited to share restaurant recommendations and advice about Detroit, and helped make our experience five-star!

Sharla Hunter

Stayed at the El Moore Lodge for New Years Eve 2021 and this hotel is very nice The secure parking was definitely a plus as well as how to access everything upon arrival I stayed in the Moonbeam Cabin and it was exactly like the pictures online

For anyone who stays here in the future they do offer Netflix and Youtube TV The views are spectacular and I would definitely stay here againThe only downside I would say is not being able to access other streaming apps such as Hulu when doing so it asked for a pin, also no phone to be able to call downstairs if needed

I’ve stayed here twice now, each room has been unique & lovely! The renovations included keeping the original bathroom tile that elevates the vintage hotel experience I keep forgetting to take pics of the rooms before I check out, but the outside is a great indicator of the vibes this place gives off Staff are always very nice & accommodating, & your key (cards available but the remote app key is better) gets you discounts at a couple places

And you can’t beat walking distance from downtown Royal Oak 😎 will stay here any chance I can!

From the front lobby with free suckers in a huge bowl and an excellent selection of snacks to the community chill room with the arcade game Outside is a fantastic chill spot with fire pits, picnic tables and baggo/corn hole! My wife and I Stayed here for a wedding recently Even though there was a convention that brought thousands of people to downtown Detroit that weekend, the staff was calm, cool, and collected From the concierge to the cleaning staff, everyone who worked here was more than helpful (and polite)

Since the pandemic, I’ve come to expect the hotel industry to have a lesser level of service because of staffing shortages But I was pleasantly surprised of a high class, mid-century level of hospitality we experienced at the Westin Cadillac Great times at the lobby bar each night!

Erika

Decided to stay here for our girls weekend Front desk girl upon check in was nice/hospitable Arriving to our rooms, looked nice as well

So far starting out goodor so we thought Our AC didn’t work well in the room, the bed was terrible along with the flat pillows Trying to call the front desk late night for additional items for our bed- we were told we could come get it but no one was able to bring it to our room We walked down to get a pizza we ordered then see 4 employees just standing around at the front desk The man who was working the desk in the evening was so rude, rolling his eyes like we were an issue after asking for suggestions to where we could get food then the whole you can walk down to get your own requests What is the point of paying for a $400 room?? Not hospitable AT ALL! Called to ask for a manger this morning and still haven’t received a call from them How do you run a Westin this terribly? I’ve never had this type of experience at any other location Would spend my money elsewhere if you want to be treated like a guest!

This will be my go-to lodging for Little Caesar’s Arena events! Beautiful inn – main floor, hallways, and guest rooms The rooms are spacious and well-appointed The entire mansion has the feel of luxury lodging

The staff is friendly and helpful The location cannot be beat Just one block from LCA Parking (paid) is right out the back door There was no water glass in the room, but this was probably an oversight Communication could have been better, but the overall experience made up for this

Jonathan Fuhrman

Stayed here because it was the closest hotel to Little Caesars Arena for the Dua Lipa concert Not only was it convenient but as somebody who loves antiques and vintage homes, it was over the top fabulous to stay in In addition to the spacious room and bathroom, there are three seating areas on the main floor that guests can use

Just a very lovely place with great staff Highly recommend!

Thais Ziroldo

I had the worst experience with this place and unfortunately the staff was also not accepting of our complaints as other reviews mentioned The room was disgustingly dirty Dirt everywhere, stains on the sheets, ripped towels and comforter, the blinds of the main window which faces the street wouldn’t shut and there was nothing we could do about it, room temperature cannot be adjusted and it was insanely hot in the rooms, etc

the list goes on and on… there was so much dirt everywhere, pills from previous guests on the couch, rose petals on the floor, etc I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone I had such a horrible experience that I literally checked out early after not even 24hrs there and checked in somewhere else I have no idea how this place has good reviews or is considered 4 star hotel Literally the worst hotel I’ve ever been in my life

The building is magnificent and the atmosphere was very relaxing and inviting After a lovely meal, we finished the evening off with cigars at the the cigar bar I highly recommend The Detroit Club to anyone passing through or living in Detroit!

We LOVED staying here The gentleman at the check-in counter went above and beyond We checked in late after a concert

Local restaurants were closed He had us order from a restaurant that stayed open late, he drove to the restaurant and picked up our order and brought it back to the hotel for us (at 1 am!) Then he extended a late check-out for us The historic atmosphere was gorgeous Hope to be able to stay here again!

True Bookworm

My experience at this particular casino is simply okay Before the pandemic, you could walk in here and leave with a comfortable amount of money This week I stayed at the Greektown Casino hotel

I went downstairs to the casino about three times (each time on different days & hours) Just to get a feel for the environment I did not spend much however, each time I left, I simply broke even That’s great for me however, listening to the horror stories of other people around me these machines simply were not paying out One annoying fact that my party and I noticed was majority of the machine volume controls were broken Therefore, many of the machines were extremely loud They made sounds even if the machine awarded 3 cents We determined that it was to fool people nearby into thinking the machines were paying big It’s still a good place due to most of the restaurants being open I love the fact it’s now completely smoke free (they do have an outside patio for smokers) In addition, I did not notice any special disinfection protocols in place A lot of the machines had trash around them, used napkins, drinks etc Overall, it was an okay experience A ton of attractions are nearby and everything is in walking distance Therefore, if you get bored at the casino you can easily go somewhere else downtownFYI- the only two machines that were paying out (each time I visited) was Cleopatra and Wonder WomanThe hotel was a good experience The only issue we had was loud neighbors next door They remodeled the rooms and they are very tiny You barely have any place to put all of your things Double nightstands in the room have vanished so be prepared We were unable to fit our suitcase inside the tiny wardrobe On the other hand, the views were spectacular We were on the 23rd floor and we kept the window open at night because it was just so beautiful

I’ve been coming here for a very long time If you stay for a few nights you won’t be disappointedIt was a fun casino Nice and spacious We were guest there for a contest to maybe gone on to Las Vegas Didn’t win that trip but we had a wonderful time All casino employees were very gracious and helpful Would love to return some day Much more hospitable than some of their sister casinos Thank You all so much

The Legendary Atone

Although the atmosphere can be kind of empty here, it is a very nice casino The food options are decent and their comp system is great Their poker room is very welcoming but unfortunately they don’t attract many players at a time

You never know who you may run into here, I was blessed to be able to play at roulette tables with Allen Iverson on a random night in Detroit! Amazing!

Came with my wife and kids to go to the Lion King My wife was nervous about staying in a hotel But that was put to rest as soon as we pulled up

The valet was welcoming The desk staff was helpful and friendly Our room was spotlessThe best part for our family is that everyone working wore a mask I saw two different workers spraying Lysol I would stay here again and highly recommend it

petey green

This was me and the wife’s first time staying here I was a bit nervous because we smelled weed once we got out the elevator on our floor The second issue was that one of our pillows had a stain on it

I was able to text Evan (the hotel staff member) and he worked diligently to correct the issues He went beyond to make sure our stay was as comfortable as possible moving forward If in the area I would stay in the hotel again, mainly because the ginuine concern the staff took to correct any issues we hadbecause of the staff effort we decided 4 stars was reasonable It would’ve been 3 without such a tentative staff

Everyone at this hotel was wonderful – the housekeeping manager – Anita, the front desk attendant, and the young man at the breakfast bar Anita told us that the staff was like a family, many working there 25+ years, and we could tell how much they enjoyed their jobs The hotel was very clean, the pool was fun for the kids, and the breakfast (not free) was amazing

I’d pay for good food over a continental breakfast Easy drive to the Ford museums Thanks to this team!

Kenton Snyder

My family and I planned on staying in the area for two nights We booked the rooms with another hotel, however, based on our first nights experience, we got out of that place as quickly as we couldNeeding a place for our second night, we found availability at the Courtyard

I was immediately impressed with the staff, the service, and the attentiveness that we received The room was clean, in order, and everything functioned as it should (all of which was severely lacking in our hotel the previous night) I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable place to rest Will definitely come back the next time we are in the area

Elizabeth Pier

The staff at this hotel are nothing short of amazing So incredibly helpful, friendly, and kind We had to book a room last minute due to disrupted travel at DTW and they were beyond accommodating and understanding, as we switched back and forth many times between needing a second night and not needing a second night as our updated travel plans constantly evolved

They turned a stressful event into a comforting and relaxing experience We also had really delicious breakfast sandwiches there!

Short version: unique stay, romantic atmosphere, big city feel – stay here, you won’t regret it!Long version: I had seen this hotel a few times when booking Detroit stays but the price was always a bit high My boyfriend and I were in town to celebrate Valentine’s Day and we noticed the price was great so we booked it We parked in the Z garage which was only a block away, the attendant ending up giving us completely free parking which was awesome! Check-in was great, staff was friendly, room was very clean

We booked the Parlor room (king bed) and it was cozy but loved the feel to it No fridge or coffee station in the room but there is a cafe in the lobby For any girls out there, the shower shampoo, conditioner, and body wash were surprisingly good I typically have to pack my own conditioner to handle my long curly hair but the hotel provided huge bottles in the shower that worked great! Bed was comfy, sheets felt clean, never heard any other guests which shocked me due to the older building Upon checkout, the receptionist was very kind and asked how we liked our stayOverall, I definitely recommend a stay here! I typically tend to stay at chain hotels, but I am so glad I strayed from that habit and booked at the Siren The whole building had such a refreshing, romantic atmosphere that was perfect for a Valentine’s Day retreat

Jason

The entire staff here was superb Probably one of my best experiences at a hotel From the housekeeping staff to the front desk, everyone was super nice

Extra kudos to Ivory! We enjoyed ourselves so much we ended up staying an extra night which they seamlessly made happen If we ever have occasion to come back, we will definitely make this our first choice for our stay

I loved our stay here All of the staff was friendly It had a nice vibe

Everything was exceptionally clean (staff was constantly cleaning common areas) The decor is charming and fun The bed was comfortable and our stay was quiet We stayed in a Superior chamber room There wasn’t a lot of room, but the large windows and tall ceiling give it a feel like it is roomier than it really is The hotels location was great We walked to dinner and to a show at the Filmore The only thing to watch for is no mini fridge (and if you want ice it is a hike down to the basement to get some) Also, no coffee in your room (but there is a coffee station in the lobby where you can buy yourself a cup)

Great Detroit hotel in corktown with lots of charm! I stayed at this hotel when I was in Detroit to see Jack White on 4-8-2022 and enjoyed my stay very much I had a room on the first floor that had a patio door that led out to the courtyard which was nice When I arrived I noticed another group arrive and requested a fire in the courtyard, I saw one of the hotel workers set up a fire and light it for them

He even apologized that he did not have a saw for one of the logs, and did a nice job of setting up a fire So for those reviews that say there is no fire pit or courtyard, I took photos to show that they are there The beds are comfortable as are the pillows The shower was nice and clean and the water was hot I did not find the room to be overly noisy and hardly noticed/heard my neighbors at all The cement floors were a bit cool to bare feet so I wore socks The only small knock I had was that my mini fridge did not seem to work, but that really wasn’t a big deal It is worth mentioning that this hotel is about a 3-minute walk away from a nice craft brewery called Batch Brewing Company so that’s a nice perk also All in all a very nice hotel that represents Detroit well, highly recommended!

My husband and I decided to come to Detroit over February break (I’m a teacher) Our daughter came here for a weekend in March 2020…

empty plane…pandemic just beginning…she loved it Fast forward to now…my mom passed away 1/18 It was a very difficult few months and I’m broken-hearted I booked a few days here at my daughters advice This place is wonderful!!!!! The staff!!! I can’t say enough about all of you!!! ❤️👍 I can’t mention everyone by name but everyone was equally kind, friendly, helpful, and ambassadors for this hotel and this beautiful city There is a fire pit in the courtyard The grounds are filled with snow and ice I asked the front desk about it I wanted to sit by a fire Tonight when we came back from dinner, the owners, and the wonderful front desk staff member, made that happen! They got firewood, and made a fire for us! It was the most comfort I’ve had in months…and for this…I thank you all from the bottom of my heart I wish you and every staff member HUGE success and Blessings Your hotel is beautiful The beddingthe grounds…the artwork…the location…all perfect I never go anywhere twice…except here We will be back! Thank you!!! ❤️❤️❤️Pat and Eddie Bergstrom

The Detroit Foundation Hotel is an absolute great stay The rooms are new and really beautiful The aesthetics throughout the whole hotel are very chic and relaxing

Our time was quiet and comfortable despite being a holiday weekend The staff were extremely kind and accommodating, even allowing us a very late checkout so we could kill some time before our flight The room service and bar downstairs were equally high quality Even the hotel gym was exceptional, especially compared to others I have found myself in The location is perfect and anything in downtown Detroit is walkable Overall, I would highly recommend a stay at the Detroit Foundation Hotel for any trip to the city You might pay a little more than a generic chain hotel, but it’s well worth it for the comfort and style

Lovely hotel in the heart of downtown Detroit Great history at the old Fort Pontchartrain siteNicely appointed- urban cellars breakfast buffet a good deal at $14 /person

Clean, quiet, with friendly and attentive staffOnly thing missing was decaf coffee In the US I have not been at a hotel that did not carry decaf in the breakfast area Beyond that small imperfection the hotel is wonderful

We used The Detroit Foundation for our wedding block for guests to book for our March wedding All of our guests were extremely impressed with the hotel (from the decor, The Apparatus Room, hospitality of all hotel staff) We also stayed in The Commissioner Suite (absolutely gorgeous) the weekend of our wedding and it was amazing

The staff is beyond accommodating and always happy to help I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking to just stay downtown (great location) or hosting your wedding guests Loved it so much!!
