Dr Robert Cesario

Great location for Twain on Main, easy walking distance Daily hot breakfast was adequate, but nothing specialMost of the staff was friendly and helpful

Pool and hot tub looked inviting, but without any adults only times available, they were pretty much overrun with young children most of the timeRoom was clean and decently appointedI’d be willing to come back

John Dean

The desk personnel were friendly and courteous The motel is unique in that it has two separate buildings We stayed in the separate one

The room was quite spacious The king bed was comfortable The room was neat and clean with an interesting carpet Its only drawback was the bathroom door would shut but didn’t always latch so it would pop open We had a decent view of the Mississippi River We had to go to the main building for breakfast but it wasn’t far The breakfast was well stocked despite being very busy and tasted good I had scrambled eggs, hash browns, a sausage patty, and biscuits and gravy If I come back to Hannibal I would stay here again

Carla Johnsen

We enjoyed our stay The hotel is not new, but it is clean Breakfast was great and the staff did not push people out by shutting down while guests were still there

The pool has strict set hours in order to control the noise level, but all the rooms are built around it and I loved being able to look down from 3rd floor and keep an eye on everyone We’d stay here again if we were to ever come back to town

I’ve been staying at this Motel 6 in Hannibal, Mo for the last 2 months due to a travel work contract and would absolutely recommend staying here! Although the room isn’t fancy, it’s very clean, had a comfortable bed to sleep in, and was quiet which ensured a peaceful night’s rest All of the motel employee staff were quick to respond/address/assist with any questions or concerns The owners are professional but very personable and caring with a genuine interest in providing an optimal stay at their establishment

An added bonus is they allow dogs with no fees as long as your dog is crated if you’re out of the room, you clean up after your dog, and your dog does not disturb other patrons with noise (barking, crying, whining) or behaviors which I consider to be a standard expectation of any pet owner

Steve Mcguire

The room next to me had issues which woke me up at 630 am, after having to ask the staff to do something about it they told they’d have maintenance look into which forced me to insist it was handled right away By then I was beyond irritated and unable to sleep after getting there at 1am I wanted it to be made right as the entire point of my stay was to get some sleep and get back on the road which I wasn’t able to do, and the staff gave me even more trouble

Telling me things can just go wrong at anytime and they’re not responsible for it Actually sir, that is exactly what you are responsible for I was standing there in with the general managr literally arguing with me that it shouldn’t be their problem and he wasn’t refunding me Then continued to laugh when I said I’d have no choice but to let future customers know this is how they handle things I just wanted acknowledgement and some compensating but instead was dismissed and disrespected I walked away, called my credit card company and canceled the payment This information will be shared on every travel and web search page Spend the extra 30 bucks and stay ANYWHERE ELSE

The room was nasty It smelled horrible & the beds are sooo uncomfortable The bathroom was gross as well, no shower pressure what so ever

The door to outside also says it locks after 11pm for “safety” which is false I’ve never felt so unsafe in a hotel Also, the vending machine would take your money & then say “sold out” Guy at the front desk was in his pajamas and looked as if he had literally just rolled out of bed and wanted nothing to do with me Wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anybody Stay safe!

What a great place to stay in Hannibal Off the beaten path and on gorgeous property, the mansion itself is beautiful and run by amazing people My wife and I had a great time

Mary does a fantastic job at making you feel welcome from the second you walk through the door The rooms themselves are nice, and there’s history everywhere you walk in the mansion Nice grounds, nice people, great food We’d definitely stay there again!

Hailey May

There is so much to rave about! Mary, the new owner, was incredibly hospitable She offered unlimited snacks, early check in, late check out, unlimited soda, free drinks, and so much more 90% of the furniture is original—we even got to sit in Mark Twain’s chair! The breakfast was multiple courses and absolutely amazing! She catered to our dietary preferences, and even had homemade juice from berries at the Garth mansion grounds! The whole ambiance of the building was unreal

I felt like I stepped straight into a fairy tale or fantasy novelI would give 1,000 stars if I could!

Rick Wright

We stayed in the Dowager Cottage which was magnificent! The artifacts in the Garth Mansion and stories of Samuel L Clemens stays there were very interesting Lot’s of history to take in

The mansion is essentially a museum of 19th century artifacts Mary, the Innkeeper, was awesome and made sure our stay was perfect right down to the delicious breakfast that was made to accommodate my wife’s food allergy

We stayed here four nights The venue is pretty new and very nice with a large comfortable foyer The breakfast buffet was excellent with lots of fresh food and variety

Free cookies every afternoon ALL employees went out of their way to be helpfulThe pool is nice but has no hot tub There’s a good workout room tooMy two complaints are : The rooms are only serviced every 3 days so I had to find a maid to get fresh towels etc The the bed furthest from the window is just about 6 inches from the wall, (see my shoe for reference), so the left side of the bed is not accessible (see my pictures), the beds cannot be moved I was told that all of the two bed, rooms are like this, (a nightmare for the maids) There is plenty of room to have installed the bed sensiblyThere is a big gas station right next door This hotel is right off of Highway 36We were very pleased with our stay

Megan Brackelsberg

The front desk employee at 23:30 when I checked in was kind and quick The room and bathroom were clean, shower had good water pressure, and the room layout was great Bed was comfy, pillows were nice, and bedding was good quality

Free continental breakfast was by far superior to any I have had in years There were many options, the warmed food was fresh even at 9am, and the entire space was clean The attendant in the breakfast area was super friendly!

Laura Schmidt

This hotel had everything we needed, including a first-floor room and plenty of close parking Clean and well-stocked rooms, friendly staff The complimentary breakfast was the real thing

A great variety of food, excellent coffee, and best of all–served on real plates with real silverware! I’m so tired of plastic and Styrofoam and generating pounds of trash at hotels, not to mention the overall grubbiness of a meal in a supposedly nice establishment being served on paper plates and sporks THANK YOU for actual real dishes!

I stayed here for a much needed getaway The owner, Mike, was gracious and friendly as he showed me to my room All rooms are on the second floor, up a staircase

Was very enjoyable to stay in downtown Hannibal and be able to simply cross the street to go to dinner The room was thoughtfully decorated and I felt like a princess in the fancy bed Mattress was very firm which I appreciated Mike provided a basket of snacks, candies, yogurt, juices, water, and fruit He even included some earplugs because the room is situated across from the train tracks and right along busy Main Street Will definitely stay here again when I’m in need a nice weekend away

Amanda C

My husband and I just returned from our stay here and we had a wonderful time The room is comfortable and has historic architecture including high ceilings (which I thought was very cool) The host, Michael, is very kind and thoughtful

He will give you tips on what to see on your visit The room we stayed in also came with a continental breakfast that he replenished for us each morning-thank you! The place is in a perfect location to walk to everything you would want to see and just a short drive to the caves Overall we definitely recommend staying here!

What a great place to visit! Campground is small but quaint Kids had a great time riding on the partially cemented roadways Within walking distance of the cave itself! Coolest thing I’ve ever seen at any other Campground is that the shower house they also have a grooming station for your pet

One down side is that some of the campsite spots were really close together so when booking you’d really need to check on the mapwe stayed on sites C and had plenty of room

Chrissy Rey

We stayed at the campground for a few days and really liked it Our site was level and large The bathrooms were clean

Everything appeared to be well maintained Best of all, we had shade from the large trees While we spent most of our time exploring downtown Hannibal, which is a 5-minute drive (with plenty of parking) we were also able to visit the cave It was a fun tour that took a little more than an hour Our tour guide was Linnea, and she was very knowledgeable and entertaining My husband and I also stopped by the winery, where we tried the sweet wine flight and a slushy Everything was tasty

D M

Really cool dry cave with cool history I was surprised at how many signatures were on the cave walls If in the area, you should definitely do the tour

The RV campsites were really nice with 50 and 30 amp hookups Water pressure was good and there is also a small creek that our dog loved

Great place to stay Super nice big rooms Everything is very clean and well maintained throughout hotel

Beds are extra comfy with extra soft bedding Great water pressure in shower Staff is extra friendly and will go out of there way to make sure you have an amazing stay Lots of extra amenities provided Check in/check out process super easy and quick Located next to a super delicious local restaurant Definitely a place to check out if planning on staying in hannibal

Jeff White

All the reviews that mention how clean this place is are 100% correct So much so that I asked the front desk if it is a new building Turns out it’s 7 yrs old

Locally owned is very nice too Very comfortable beds, not hard like many hotels Rooms are stocked with plenty of washcloths/towels, which helps to compensate for not servicing the room daily Although they will restock whatever you need daily Hot and tasty breakfast buffet daily until 9:30am with all of the usual items; b&g, waffles, scrambled eggs, sausage, cereal, yogurt, coffee, juices, etc Personally I wish it was available until a bit later in the morning, I like to “sleep inn” while on vacation, but well worth it! Friendly staff that will assist with all your needs We will definitely stay again on our next visit to Hannibal

Decent price but it’s a mixed bag Staff was very nice but it’s in need of updating The workout equipment doesn’t work well, the light bulbs are odd random colors, key cards are very old style and stopped working

The outdoor entrances never worked with any door cards The main bar area is updated and very nice The bar tender was great! I will say the free cookies at the front desks were a game changer! Overall not the typical choice hotel experience we get nationwide but you can tell it’s 100% management and NOT the employees Rooms were clean and they had the AC running before we got to our roomPublic bathrooms are straight out of a 90s middle school and fit/finish is lacking overall Like what’s up with the faded wedding pictures in the women’s bathroom with broken frames? StrangeI’m a choice hotels diamond and for some reason they couldn’t find my account for rewards Oh wellAgain staff is great but owner and management has blinders on to the overall condition and decor

Emily Stroble

This hotel has definitely cut some corners and as a result, it feels cheap Its a nice location and the breakfast food was good, but there were too many cons to recommend staying again The breakfast staff were great, but the rest of the staff was lacking in training and is likely not paid enough/staffed enough to care about their jobs

-Breakfast sits out for a long time if there isn’t the foot traffic to change things out-Front desk staff gave us a room with a broken door and while it was fixed, they didn’t acknowledge at any point that we received a downgrade in room (Business King > Standard King)-Pool seems to only be opened when the staff feel like it, not the 6AM-10PM as advertised-Rooms are only cleaned every 3rd night (COVID policy) but saw other families struggling to get extra towels & we ran out of toilet paper on night 2-Between rooms is quiet but stay on the top floor if you don’t want to hear every movement above youThis hotel needs some major updates and renovations done to make it a good budget hotel, and it needs more oversight from management If all of the staff were as friendly and helpful as the breakfast staff, this would be a great place As is though, skip it and pay more to get a better experience

J.G.R. II

The highlight of our stay would have to be the breakfast bar! Better than a typical complimentary breakfastThe pool was nice Everything looked to be in good repair, but the temperature was less than ideal for an indoor pool

The hot tub was functional and pleasantly privateIf you are looking for a color palette inspired by the movie The Shining, look no further The toilet will keep rhythm for you overnight, as it, like the pleasant chime of a grandfather clock, runs at regular intervals You’ll have a great sense of community, knowing everything your neighbors are up to with walls that are walls in name onlyI would stay here again
