I was part of a biking tour and this was one of our stops The Antrim was a throwback in time to the 1900s The period decorating and grounds were amazing

We arrived in time for high tea with amazing sandwiches and pastries The pool was sparkling clean! The rooms were also decorated and spacious in separate buildings with outdoor decks and seating areas We also had dinner and breakfast which were both 5 star! It looks like a perfect venue for a formal event!

Shari Muskett

We have stayed here so many times we can’t remember exactly how many times it has been We love this venue to unplug and relax The food is amazing and the service is superb

Included in the price is breakfast and an afternoon tea I can’t say enough about the venue, the rooms, the staff and the food Everyone needs to experience the Antrim at least once

There are some restaurants that you go to a couple of times a year for special occasions This is not one of those This is the kind of restaurant that you go to once every few years for really special occasions

The food is amazing 6 courses with each one better than the last The service is amazing, and the ambiance makes you forget, even for a short time, that you live in the 21st centuryIf you’re looking for a place to celebrate your child passing their bar exam or your last student loan payment or your 10 year anniversary, come here Treat yo’ selfIt’s pricey but worth it

This Hampton goes above and beyond to make a stay the absolute best for visitors The staff is on point, and the rooms are clean and comfortable The exterior is the beginning of cleanliness and carries through this Hampton

They are upholding the Hampton standards that I expect Recommend staying here Beautiful surroundings, easy access to food and shopping If I could give it more than five stars, I would A top-quality place to stay!

L Jessica Merkwa

Very clean, able to adjust the room temp easily, pool could be a touch warmer, breakfast was good Downside from a parent standpoint, able to hear through walls/door easily, didn’t help there was a loudmouth nearby, and the beautiful barn door for the bathroom is a giant pain with an 19 month old and 3 yr old

Staff were wonderful as we left early I don’t remember her name but was at the desk around 7pm Saturday night, very caring and just lovely

Joe Ruddy

Hotel was really clean and the staff were great, very friendly Fresh coffee, early breakfast, and really comfortable, clean rooms as expected The one thing that I really look forward to is the ability to turn the room thermostat down below 68 degrees, which I was able to do so at this Hampton Inn

I would definitely recommend this Hampton Inn, and will stay here again when in the area

Nice, clean, quiet hotel It presents in person as it does online Easy check in/ out

Good water pressure for the shower, didn’t hear my neighbors come and go Area felt safeThe main road to it was closed and it was a pain to find the way in, at 10p at night However, once I called the front desk, it was easily resolvedI ranked it so high because it was exactly what it said it was, and no surprises I’d stay againNice pool area The spa was closed, but I didn’t care about that

This is NOT a 3 star hotel!! We only stayed one night and I was so disappointed with this hotel Room was just okay but not given more than 1 shampoo/conditioner bottle The drawer to our dresser was broken and kept opening up

Stained pillowcase We went to use the pool and it was so steaming hot that it was impossible to stay in there Pool water was also too warm No towels in the pool area either We told the front desk about the towels and they told us we are supposed to use our room towels Obviously not true, because there is a rack dedicated to towels in the pool area We also mentioned the pool area being way too hot They told us we can open the windows We opened the windows are were met with the most DISGUSTING dead rotten fish smell ever!! It was so bad it made me want to gag Not sure where it was coming from, but something or someone died outside the back of the building!! Unfortunately we had to keep the windows open and deal with the horrible smell because it cooled the swimming area down a bit But that smell was unbelievable, even people who came in after us asked what that terrible nasty smell was It took over the whole pool!! Next morning we had the free breakfast It was just okay They ran out of a lot of stuff by 7 am! And only one waffle machine…food was subpar All of this for $138 a night!! I feel cheated Next time we will stay at the Hampton Inn Never have any issues there!!

Alexis McLeod

This place has horrible customer service! I stay here with a traveling working company and the hotel was supposed to charge the Company card fr the first 3 days! I gave them my car to charge the remainder of the stay

! She failed to verify the right card and was charging the Company card instead of my credit card! Then once it was discovered Miss Pam lied and said I authorized which is false because i never would’ve been able to verify information that was not mine now I have to go to court to prove I gave her my information and she neglected to do her job and verify the correct information! Never stay here regular guest was complaining because she was double charging their card w/o authorization!

We recently booked this for a corporate stay for 20 executives They were very pleased with the space and liked that it was close to the battlefield where their events were The corporate booking staff was very responsive and easy to deal with

They were able to give us a link that took the attendees directly to the site with our dates and special rate so that they could easily bookOn another note, I stayed here in 2019 for a soccer tournament and was very happy Staff was great and the place was very clean

Have stayed at a number of Garden Inns being a member of the Hilton rewards program Our room was clean You can adjust the room to very cold if you want

Which with COPD this is very helpful Some in the Southern states have begun limiting your AC to save costs The place is a bit dated, and probably a rehab is in order I am stingy with my stars, but I gave this 3 star hotel 4 stars, for the simple fact, all the employees had a genuine hospitality attitude ! The bar tender talks a bit too much, but everyone else acknowledged us, and acted like we were important The “free” breakfast we purchased with our reservation, was the absolute best we have ever encountered They waited on us, like we were VIP’s and ordered from a menu, and made our breakfast to order Plus they had all kinds of fresh goodies to pick buffet style, like everyone else offers We got much better service and food then we did for breakfast the previous morning for $35 at the nearby Perkins ! So, again a very BIG PLUS, we enjoyed the indoor pool and hot tub Next time we in Gettysburg, we definitely will stay here again ! Just hope the same staff is there

Gina Jordan

Price was way too high for Saturday night, and SURPRISE

the room was $120 less for Sunday night, our second night You can eat breakfast and dinner at the hotel, and we thought about doing that, but there was no menu available to view Put the menu in the room Put the menu at the front desk So, we got take out from the many restaurants nearby, and ate our dinner in the lobby with our own beer and winecheaper, and much less frustrating Housekeeping was friendly and helpful Front desk was average Room was clean

Scrolling through these reviews, I feel several of the low star ratings were left for the wrong hotel Days Inn Gettysburg was amazing! The staff was all so friendly, the breakfast was great We loved how they offered four waffle makers so there was never a wait

I am a very picky person This hotel was extremely clean The lobby was clean, the staff is all well groomed and well dressed The pillows were so comfy I almost asked if I could buy one lol! We enjoyed our stay so much, we even added an extra night We will definitely be staying here again! – Also wanted to add, I read a couple reviews talking about the elevator and the pool We had no issues with the elevator nor the key card for the pool Thank you all for such a great place to stay on our vacation!

Traveled with my husband Mother & Grandson Got to Gettysburg early Friday & it rained We tried doing a driving tour of the battlefields but by 230 we were soaked, chilled & tired

Called to see if we could check in an hour early & was told absolutely! The staff were amazing ( Lady named Shell never seemed to go home and was always there when we needed anything) The room was clean and nice, the pool was great Overall highly recommend staying here and we definitely will stay again when we come back

**

A good basic hotel The bad things were that my room key didn’t open the pool door (even after they fixed it), the cable went out every day (no storms), the bathroom showed signs of mold (poor attention to detail in hard to reach areas), and the free coffee is really sad The great things were that the breakfast included a waffle maker (I made peanut butter waffles every day and I happen to love them), you’re close to town, far less expensive than many other places to stay, most of the staff was really nice, cold AC, you’re very short walking distance to Dunkin, Dairy Queen, and Perkins Restaurant

Let me start out by saying the lobby area is BEAUTIFUL My family and I were coming to Gettysburg after a horrible stay in Hershey (at a different hotel chain) so our expectations were low This hotel blew us away

The greeting once up to the front desk was greatthe woman helping me check in was amazing, kind and knowledgeable on the area It was nice that they had the luggage carts right at the front to help with loading and unloading If you stay here and have a chance to walk around the hotel, DO IT They have amazing pictures hung up and the decor is awesome! Lots of opportunities for some great picture taking The pool and hot tub are so relaxing and big! My family and I loved it! The location is great and I wish we would have taken advantage of the movie theater next door! I can’t say more amazing things about this hotel Definitely recommend and I will be coming back!

My stay was a very pleasant experience Rooms are clean and the lobby area is nice The customer service I received at the front desk from Morgan was absolutely the best

She was very professional and extremely nice Morgan went above and beyond when I was checking in by referring where to dine and took my reservation on the spot so I didn’t have to make it online since I decided to stay in Gettysburg overnight Zeb, the bartender, at the hotel’s restaurant made my stay wonderful as well by asking the chef if he could prepare my dinner order even though the kitchen had just closed Zeb was very, patient and attentive while I was eating dinner I do plan to return to Gettysburg and stay here again

Chris Whitaker

The hotel overall was very clean Rooms were nice and clean Except that one of our comforters had a pee stain from my guess a dog

we were staying on the pet floor when I requested a new one,, one was sent up to my room the maid just threw the new one on the hall floor never knocked or could have put it in a bag so that was a little grossThe hotel is just a little run down, could use a renovation the bathroom is nice but no shower curtain just a glass wall that let’s water get all over the floor The have very slick tiles, so when you get out, you can slip very easily security is a whole different beast Our room door dead bolt worked 1 out of 20 times Only one camera in the whole hotel Not the greatest thing, especially in the pool area

This is a beautiful historic Hotel about 25 min from Gettysburg, that has the quaint and hometown feel of stepping back in time All the staff were genuinely kind and engaging while going about their tasks The food served was incredible, the Meatloaf is a must and I’m not even a fan of meatloaf ordinarily!!! Also try the Brussels Sprouts… perfection

They also had some great drinks like a Blackberry Sour and The 1763 Lager ( Centre Sq Brewery) We will definitely be back, thank you for some great memories!

Jory Lawson

As part of our trike trip from Virginia to Pennsylvania we wanted something other than a normal motel stay and we certainly found it This is a beautiful antique hotel, very well kept and comfortable The rooms were clean the service was excellent

The restaurant in the hotel is great, the food and service were superb Anna, Morgan and Casey all terrific We will definitely be back!

Aynne Polinski

I think it is important not to give such a poor review without the establishment understanding what was done wrong to warrant a one star review My family, three of us went to the Easter buffet @ 12:00 thinking all the food would be fresh We had to walk a long distance to another room from our table to the “buffet

” The buffet never looked visually attractive It was set up in a room with large tables of families within arms length of the tables They didn’t have one person serving any of the food, it was totally serve yourself, by not having had servers behind the food, the food became poked and mushy looking in appearanceThe serving silverware was never changed, considering the Pandemic we all this lived through, you would have thought that would have been a top priority The amount of food on the buffet looked very skimpy for the amount of people that were dining Aside from the fresh fruit, yogurt and granola, the food was less than mediocre for the price The server at our table was attentive, in fairness the service was good

I have stayed at a lot of bed-and-breakfasts in my lifetime, but this was hands-down my favorite Steve, our host, was so knowledgeable about history, but also about the community Teresa was also very knowledgeable and it is obvious that she has taken so much time and effort to beautifully decorate the farmhouse and make it so welcoming

Their chef, Jason, always had a wonderful breakfast for us (with Teresa‘s help on the fruit and breakfast muffin) I cannot give Lightner farmhouse a high enough rating I was sorry to have to leave, and will definitely return

Cassie McHenry

We travel quite a bit, and this was easily one of our all-time top 3 stays I absolutely adored this house, its history, the fantastic breakfast, great location to the battlefield, attentive owners and housekeeper, and above all, our Lincoln-themed room As a huge Lincoln fan, this may be the closest to Heaven on Earth I will get

Definitely plan to visit again, if anything just to sip coffee on the porch and finish all of the great books in our room

It was a great stay Service was great They were even super welcoming to my dogs and answered all questions I needed

The room is huge and the courtyard pool and outside area was beautiful! The reason I didn’t give them a 5 star rating is because of the bar being closed at 10 pm on a Saturday and no protein (bacon or sausage for breakfast) Everything else was great!

Rinni Smith

The housemen AJ and Larry do an awesome job with making sure the building, bathrooms and grounds are clean It always smells great when I walk out of my room They clean up after every guest with most of the guest being filthy and disrespectful

Were extremely helpful and respectful They do not get the recognition that they deserve and should be tipped for their great service as well as a raise

Chillin’ With Chuck

Really like the courtyard with fireplace and fire pit They also have in the courtyard an indoor swimming area Room was clean and staff is friendly

Great location with businesses within walking distance We decided upon this location in between lancaster and Gettysburg because we are going to both Breakfast is the only downside no hot food like eggs bacon sausage

We stayed using points and even though the hotel is very nicely decorated the market was not restocked at all during our 3 night stay… there was only pizza rolls and combos and not much else

The breakfast was expensive with limited selection There was no coffee in the lobby at all If I could give 5 stars to the front desk clerk who was MORE than accommodating, I would! Shout out to Chrissy, who did everything she could to make our stay great All the employees we dealt with were wonderful The hotel, as pretty as it was on the surface, failed miserably

Janine Beatty

Standard Courtyard Marriott with a very nice lobby The desk staff was very nice and hospitable They upgraded me to an extended queen room, which was larger than the standard and had a pull-out couch

The lobby is very comfortable with nice sitting areas, a fireplace, lots of electrical hookups, and an eating area It’s one of the nicer Courtyard lobbies I’ve been in The 3-star rating is not a 4 or 5 because of the cleanliness of the room and outdated bathroom It was not terrible, but definitely not up to the normal Marriott standard The desk and TV area was dusty, hair around the bathroom, and the toilet was stained The bathroom needs to be updated (flaking toilet seats and old grout) I believe the hotel is short on housekeeping staff because there was a notice in the elevator about no daily cleaning service

Bijoux M

Please check/inspect room 407 so the next guest gets a better experience FYI the sink is clogged One bed had no sheets on

The comforter covers were full of make-uplist goes onbathroom was full of hair even on the inside of the door I know hiring is a challenge but basic housekeeping expectations need to be met in any room sold to a guest

My sister, my 3 aunts, and a good friend of my aunt whose 95th birthday we were celebrating had a delightful time at the tea room Diane is extremely gracious, welcoming and attentive and her staff were polite, engaging and accommodating The home is charmingly furnished with so many different items to see, especially the numerous tea pots, china and tea cups

The food was delicious, attractively arranged and filling The selection of teas was extensive and amazing We tried 5 different kinds and liked all of them especially the baked apple Diane and her staff made us feel as though we were having tea at our best friend’s house My sister and I are already talking about going back with a friend of ours who has never been to a tea Thank you Diane for a lovely time!

Sheree Opdyke

This tea room is absolutely wonderful A group of 12 of us got together for our annual Christmas tea yesterday Some of us drove up to an hour and a half

We were pleasantly surprised when arriving the house was decorated gorgeous and the staff was very attentive and friendly Unlike some tea rooms were they rush you out we were At least three hours The selection of tea was Unbelievable Every time we turned around there was a new pot of tea with a new flavor being served with a pot left on the table till it was empty The soup, salad, scones, tea sandwiches, and desserts one was better than the other Most of us left with doggy bags Diane and her staff are fabulousThe tea and food were Delicious

Jaci Rohrbaugh
