Hands down the best hotels i stayed in a while On the road trip down to south, my family didn’t drive far enough to our expected destination and left with no hotel at 1am All hotels i called were fully booked

Front desk staff offered us one room with no show when we arrived at 2am He offered that huge suite room at the regular room price and extended our checkout to later time to allow us to rest! Room was huge, clean and well maintained Location is just off of 95 making our trip more convenient A huge shout out to Paul, who was the manager at the floor when we arrived Thank you for accommodating us!

Xavier

After my semi truck had broken down my manager reserved multiple nights here I’ve done plenty of traveling and stayed in many hotels but the operating manager Paul made the hotel feel amazing In the morning there was a complimentary breakfast that was ever rotating in new items each day

The gym was extremely clean and had all the gear one would need The staff are friendly and accommodating If you need a night or multiple nights to stay choose this hotel The money is well worth it here

Jake Layman

The hotel is not only physically in excellent condition, but more importantly the staff are extremely kind and friendly In particular, a gentleman named (I believe), Mr Patel, was exceptionally pleasant to deal with

They cook their own cookies – and it is extremely rare for a Hampton Inn to even have cookies near the coffee to begin with As someone who stays in about 110 hotels a year, I recommend this place It is not often that I take the time to review a hotel

When checking out at 4am I waited over 15 minutes because no one was at the front desk for me to checkout I finally called the hotel & a young man popped up from behind a desk in a room with a glass window directly behind the front counter I had awakened him, he looked startled

I asked were you sleep that whole time, I’ve been yelling hello for over 15 minutes & it took the phone to awaken you? He apologized & checked me out Other than that the hotel is beautiful, & the other staff were very helpful & friendly

The Staff needs a class on customer service skills to professionally send a message on policy I wouldn’t stay here again I understand they deal with loud people all the time being close to the stadium

Friday at 9pm we just arrived and were told like 5 year old men and women to go to our room to finish watching the NCAA tourney as we ate our pizza That was way out of line They shut the TV off and took the remote away with 5 minutes left in the game They proceeded to call the police of which nothing came of that except the police said they were told there was a brawl going on It was evident that didn’t happen Their house rules we were told is no one is allowed in the common area at 9pm of which we weren’t told that while booking for if I was, I would not have stayed here At first they said children could t be unaccompanied anywhere in the hotel and then expanded it to adults also We then found a sign that read 10pm common area closure hidden and the guard verbally told us 11pm We were allowed to stay outside by the pool area the remainder of the evening which we did I knew when I walked in to check in, the way the lobby clerk greeted me very unwelcomingand treated me this was going to be less than a pleasant stay So much for $423 for 2 nights stay When I checked out today, I didn’t even receive a thanks for your business or come again Don’t worry, I won’t

Briar Ledge

The staff at the Hampton Inn Aberdeen really made a stressful extended stay feel like home Our stress was quickly relieved at the front desk the moment we arrived Anastasia and Melody went above and beyond in making sure everything was as comfortable as possible

Anastasia even stayed beyond her shift and greeted us daily with a friendly smile and wave She’s a treasure The next morning I was impressed again by Sabrina who chatted with me while she manned the breakfast nook Once again, someone made me feel less alone I honestly can’t say enough about the helpful and kind staff

Tracy DiLorenzo

Customer service and front desk was HORRIBLE on Friday night 3/25 One girl was Anastasia and the other did not have a nametag on and said I did not need her name when I asked We were literally kicked out of the lobby on a Friday night at 9:00 when we were just sitting having pizza watching the March Madness games

Front desk staff told everyone they had to go to their rooms at 9:00 even though the sign said lobby area was open till 10:00 and we asked the time when booking and told 10:00 One parent asked why they had to go to their room at 9:00, they were just watching the game and eating pizza and was told “Cause I said it was closing” He explained they wanted to watch the last two minutes of the NCAA game and she turned the TV off with two minutes to go and said “Go watch it in your room” Then a security guard came over and was extremely rude, told everyone to leave now and then called the police for no reason at all No one was being loud or rude except the staff It was the worst customer I have ever seen at a hotel and we travel a ton There are a ton of hotels in that area and will never stay there again I then asked for an extra box of tissues for our room and the two people at the front desk didn’t say a word, went and got a box of tissues and just handed it to be staring me down Never said a word, no have a good night, no sure let me get it for you, no thank you, not a single word I could not believe how rude they were for no reason Another parent did online check in with digital key and that did not work when they checked in so he came down to the front desk He was informed by one of the same girls that the digital key didn’t work and it was his fault he didn’t check in at the front desk instead of going right to his room, even though the email said they did not need to stop at the front desk The issue was not that the digital key wasn’t working, it was the fact that the front desk staff again was extremely rude They should not be in the hotel business if they don’t want to deal with customers I will tell everyone I know going to Aberdeen for a baseball tournament to not stay at the Hampton Inn There are plenty of hotels in that area that can accommodate teams that likely have better customer service

We were in this area for youth sports and picked this hotel mostly based on proximity to Cedar Lane Park Our stay couldn’t have been better The staff was attentive and efficient, our room was clean and comfortable, the common areas, pool, breezeways, etc were clean and well maintained

The breakfast was standard fare for hotels of this type and had plenty to offer Overall, this hotel was clearly well managed and operated by dedicated and motivated people Will be back when I’m in this area again, would highly recommend

John Hoesch

Our first time staying here, and everything about this place is a notch above the rest, EXCEPT ONE THING, THE PILLOWS ARE TERRIBLE! They’re too soft and flat, and there’s no support for your neck From the front desk to the decor, and the rooms We got the King Suite, and it’s really nice! There’s a small kitchenette with a 2 burner electric stove, microwave, full size fridge, and complimentary snacks and soft drinks and water

A nice sofa in the sitting area with a swivel flat screen TV sitting on a chest of drawers, across from a desk and office chair with a charging station on the desk Then a king size bed with night stands on either side, also with charging stations The bathroom is large with a very roomy walk in shower The closet is right next to the bathroomThis is one of the best hotels we’ve ever had the pleasure of staying in! The furniture is in excellent, like brand new condition

This was buy far the best hotel experience we have ever had From check-in in to check-out the staff was friendly, accommodating and professional The common areas and rooms were beautifully appointed and sparkling clean

Comfortable mattresses and amazing showers! We enjoyed the pool area, fitness center, complimentary breakfast and marketplace snack options Thank you for making our stay relaxing and memorable – we can’t wait to come back!

Aida Nazario

Would stay here again anytime! Everything was very clean and the people were all awesome Breakfast was fine Bagels, croissants, oatmeal envelopes, breakfast sandwiches of: sausage, egg and cheese, yogurt, coffee and juice

Small selection but fresh Almost forgot! The pool was closed but looked very inviting and the rate was mid priced in comparison to the other places around AAA discount was helpful Only negative remark was the No Pet policy but that’s understandable My usual travel partner takes her dogs everywhere

My husband and I booked a last minute getaway and couldn’t have had better luck in finding this gem! The house is beautiful and welcoming The proprietor Carol is amazing! She is a fabulous cook, tour guide and just a friendly conversationalist! We had fresh baked goods and delicious breakfast every morning and she even stated a fire for us for our return from dinner to cozy up to! We will be staying here again in the near future 5 stars is not nearly enough for this relaxing and enjoyable venture!

Emilie Mcvey

This was our second visit in six months😁 The mansion is beautifully decorated in antiques, the atmosphere is relaxing, and you feel like you’ve known Carol all your life by the time you leave And her breakfasts are scrumptious! I have major food allergies and several B&Bs have said they couldn’t work with me, but not Carol! She served me a beautifully presented, delicious breakfast (two, actually) that was dairy-, egg-, and gluten-freeHavre de Grace is a quaint little town with lots to see and do nearby, but even if it weren’t, we’d happily return just to enjoy Carol’s superb hospitality and lovely home

Sean Logan

We and our family booked the inn for our son’s wedding in 2020, but were delayed until October 2021 for the reception weekend due to the pandemic Carol, the proprietor, held our reservations for a year so that our special time went as originally planned Everything about the inn is wonderful

The decor is amazing and the rooms are very comfortable We were in the cottage house and especially enjoyed the gas fireplace qnd jacuzzi tub Each morning we were treated to a delicious breakfast of home made muffins and egg dishes We also had home baked treats waiting in the cottage when we came back in the afternoons The rooms are filled with antiques and intricately decorated with amazing wallpaper and molding Carol is truly a wonderful host and treated us and our guests with loving care Our dog was with us for our stay and she always had a treat for him I highly recommend the Silver Spencer when staying in Havre de Grace, be it overnight or longer We plan to come back soon

Great roomswell cleaned and soacious but was missing bed linens for our pullout which we had to go downstairs to get after midnight Great staff

Though Friendly welcoming Lobby is dirty Furniture in lobby is gross Not sure why as the hotel and rooms are nicer than this first impression We had 5 people in a suite and room was spacious Sofa in room and chair in room were clean and comfortable and nice coffee table Great job overall Clean up the lobby mop those floors in lobby and replace lobby furniture so i can refer others Otherwise great hotel for family or business

Tionna Givens

My family and I stayed here for one night The woman at the front desk was very friendly Upon entering the room there was such a strong Lysol smell that did not fade as the night went on

The mattresses were as old as can be They were turned up on the ends and the blankets were thin Cob webs in the corners and light fixtures Paint peeling from the bathroom ceiling Things left behind from a previous guest I was extremely disappointed and glad we only stayed one night Next time I will try the holiday inn up the road

Sara

The absolute worst place to stay The front desk clerk Janet was a complete bi***, very rude and unpleasant The first room they gave me was 106 and it smelled like death! I asked to be moved to a different room and she gave me nothing but attitude

The only good thing about this place is the waffles in the morning The prices are going up and the pool is still closed My advice would be to stay at the Holiday Inn down the road F-

We parked in the back of the hotel because it was closer to our room and my vehicle has damage to 2 of the 3 doors from someone trying to break into it The rooms were not clean and did not feel secure The lock on the interior of our door to stop people from coming in was wiggling off

The access panel in the shower was falling open and we had multiple bugs in the bathrooms Room smelled like bleach and the ac unit sucked There were coffee stirrers and stains under our night stand and none of us used the coffee so they were from a prior guest There wasn’t enough toilet paper or towels in the room We got a double queen room and I don’t recommend it for a family stay (2 adults 1 toddler) We booked this room over others in the area because of the dining for breakfast as we have a picky eater child and when we got there we found out it was $5 a person for buffet style instead and it was not good at all and didn’t offer any of the items our child would eat which was disappointing We ended up eating out the rest of the trip due to this which was not what we anticipated for convenience and expenses I booked this through our Costco membership and got charged an extra $42 dollars at the hotel plus the $50 incidental deposit which completely voided the point of us staying there for the discounted rate The only reason this earned 2 stars was the staff, who were very nice for our interactions with them I don’t recommend staying here however for the other reasons listed

D

Clean, modern rooms and friendly, attentive staff I love Holiday Inn hotels because they have the most comfortable mattresses and pillows, it’s like sleeping on a cloud There’s a bar/restaurant in the lobby for when you don’t feel like going out and also plenty of restaurants and stores across the street in the plaza for when you do (ShopRite, Subway, McDonald’s)

There’s a Burger King and gas station just outside the front door of the hotel and a Walmart less than 8 minutes away This hotel is also just off I95 and only about a half hour from Downtown Baltimore We opted to stay here because it was more affordable than staying directly in Baltimore We will definitely stay here again next time we’re in the area

King Anthony C

I had a lengthy stay here for business rooms were clean and great housekeepingThe breakfast buffet however, only consisted of cooked eggs and bacon i for one do not prefer pork charging customers 5$ only providing the bare minimum is unacceptable I have been to other establishments under IHG who provided better quality and range of breakfast for my stays

We have always avoided staying at this location only because we thought it was more expensive It actually is more reasonably priced than some of the other hotels and after our first stay here, I would not stay anywhere else The convenience of staying here makes the Ripken Experience so much more! If you get a room overlooking Cal’s Yard you baseball kid won’t leave the window when they are in the room

It also allows your other children the option of remaining in the room if the weather isn’t great or if they want to sleep in on an early game Our twin girls were thrilled we didn’t have to bring them to a 7am batting practice for an 8am game The only reason I didn’t rate the rooms a 5 star was because our first room had been cleaned with something that had a very strong odor We contacted the front desk and they couldn’t have been more helpful Brian was outstanding and helped move our room immediately The service was really outstanding and I haven’t experienced the kind of service and concern for our happiness than I did with Brian at the front deskThe kids have the best experience at the complex at night They can watch games under the lights or play their own games on any of the other unoccupied fields If you don’t stay here the kids don’t get the full Ripken Experience! I wouldn’t stay anywhere else when playing at Ripken!

Holly Gray

In from out of town for my sister wedding, the rooms are very spacious and comfortable, stayed in a 2 room and 1 room suite, kitchenette was nice to haveNO blow dryers that was inconvenient traveling, I assumed a hotel would have thatSome rooms have water for you some didn’t, clean and nice breakfast options, you can ask for a go box to take back to your room, I liked that!! Staff very friendly, I would recommend for travel business or pleasure

Great location and very pretty grounds and ambience Within walking distance to downtown shops and dining Very cute neighborhood in Arts and Theater district of Havre de Grace

Staff were very friendly and welcoming Even offered wine to compensate for an inconvenience, which was nice but not necessaryThe room was a little less clean that I would have liked, with long hair belonging to someone else on the bathroom floor, and quite dustyBreakfast was great It was definitely better than expected

Melissa Vaught

My niece and husband celebrated their wedding reception here It was a wonderful experience The staff were all friendly, helpful and professional in every aspect

The venue was set up beautifully and very comfortable Not to mention the food was amazing as was the bar service Even though you are in town it was secluded and quiet, making you feel like the outside world didn’t exist It was also very kid friendly, from specific kids dishes to allowing them to have fun playing and dancing Off-street private event parking is provided as well I would highly recommend for events or even as a get away as the bed and breakfast!

Maya Elaine

I photographed a wedding here a few months ago Besides the space being gorgeous (I loved the individual personality of each of the rooms), the service was awesome and the food was wonderful The grounds had so many amazing spots surrounded by flowers and greenery – it felt like being in a magic forest

The reception area behind the Inn was beautiful and though it didn’t rain, it was nice knowing there was a roof overhead in case it had I’d recommend anyone looking for a wedding venue in Havre de Grace check out the Vandiver Inn

We just checked in after a long day of traveling from Mass Stuck in traffic all day off and on, aggravated and tired We were greeted by Dorothy with a Smile and compassion

Very professional, Kind and accommodating I asked to charge 2 bottles of water to our room and was told no they are complimentary Wow such a small act of kindness but sooooo appreciatedThank you Dorothy for getting us a quiet room on top floor so we can get rest Continue our drive home to Florida tomorrowFor an older Holiday Inn I will say it’s clean, ac is perfect in room and it’s quiet tonight I just suggest updating the mattresses Holiday Inns are known for comfy beds 🙏We would return againDorothy, there is no place like home 😂😂😂

First of all, let me say that I am a frequent traveler and I stay at many hotels from one spectrum to the other so I am familiar with what you get at a hotel vs/price This Holiday Inn was unusually sub-standard from the moment I was greated by the front desk staff to the moment I checked out I was an evening walk in, and the price I was quoted for a standard room was $316 which i thought was almost double what a Holiday Inn should be

The clerk refused to accept my AAA card and refused to give me points toward my IHG Reward Membership Her comment was simply, “You want the room or not” I guess she was just lazy and didn’t want to do any extra work She certainly wasn’t over-worked because the parking lot was half empty Going to the room, the elevator smelled like chain lube oil, a grease used to lube the cables The hallway walls were very dirty, dimly lit and when I opened to door to the room, I was hit with a dirty dog odor coming from the filthy carpets There was no doubt about a dog being in the room because as I was working at the desk, my ankles were being bitten by fleas continuously I walked once from the desk to the bathroom wearing white socks and they were black on the bottoms from the dirty carpets, requiring me to wear my shoes Old, seedy, worn out and dirty is the only way I can describe this hotel Very surprised for a Holiday Inn and I will make a point never to stay here again

I did have an OK stay However my first night was very cold and did ask the front desk to have engineering work on the room heater I was gone all day and the heater was not fixed

The front desk clerk was going to offer my first not and no charge however I have not seen any follow up regarding that credit Please reach out to me with any resolution Also PLEASE check heater in room 219 Hopefully it can be fixed by next fall I will be traveling back to Aberdeen for work and would like to stay at your hotel againThank you,Kevin

Location was unbeatable for The Ripken Experience Pool was great for kids, but very loud for adults Some sound deadening would help

Food was good, continental breakfast, indoor small dining selection, and outdoor County rule for drinking was a hindrance for adults with the fenced in area being ok, but not at the picnic tables outside of that area Another set of elevators would be worth the investment for customer convenience Some attention to detail for maintenance issues needed (showerhead, tiles, exterior door key card locks) Definitely the recommended location to stay for Ripken tournaments despite any issues

Mike Romain

You have been warned!!!!So I came into town for a one night stay at this hotel Woke up the next morning to my vehicle and multiple others in the parking lot on cinder blocks with their rims and tires stolen Advised the hotel about the situation and they informed me that they do not cover vehicles on the premises for damages and I was pretty much out of luck

Spoke to corporate and they were unhelpful and let me know their insurance does not cover vehicles on the premises With that being said I was left to pay for all related damages in addition to multiple night stays at the hotel If possible choose other options for lodging in this area Pictures are attached to back up my claims

I was a solo traveller with a pet and stayed here on May 21 The room was clean, comfortable, and safe The staff was very professional and kind

My check-in was delayed because I was stuff in traffic I called the hotel to inform them and they were kind enough to not give up my room I didn’t have breakfast which was included because left early to beat traffic and the long ride ahead Close to 95, restaurants and gas stationsI will definitely stay here again if I am in the area

Staff was very nice please give the night shift gal a raise we stayed 2/12/22 she was absolutely wonderful After checking out of a less accommodating hotel a few miles away we felt very welcomed the room was clean and comfortable, rarely does my husband say let’s go back to a place he stated he would come back here anytime Rates are reasonable and the breakfast was good

Facilities are good, modern and clean All the staff was excellent Especially buffet staff Rita

So we stay here twice, once going to our destination and also on the return trip We enjoyed the breakfast our first stay, but we misunderstood the hours on our return trip and it was closed Rita apologized to us even though it was clearly our fault She offered us various item that she could make available for us I guess when I show up late, I expect a curt response like, “Sorry, closed” Rita was so helpful, considerate, and accommodating Far beyond what I would expect Her employers are lucky to have her and I hope they appreciate her as much as we do
