We stayed here one night on our journey from KY to GA and I cannot say enough about how great our stay was First off, the staff Best part of our stay!! They were so kind, so helpful and understanding

I was amazed We were traveling with a dog and a BABY and they helped accommodate both They even wrote on the envelope for our key card, had a nice note they left at our door on the day we were checking out AND left chocolates on our bed for us!! They even had a pack & play for our son We definitely want to go back here The hotel was beautiful, well kept, yes the carpets need to be replaced but that’s minor compared to how nice everything was We had a well stocked kitchen in our room and everything! We’ll be back 🙂

Caroline Brown

Cheryl at the front desk was so kind and helpful! The staff is really extraordinary here We’ve enjoyed our stay so much The lodge feel is really so different than any other hotel experience

We felt comfortable and safe and it was the perfect distance to the adventures we planned during our stay We loved the indoor pool during the cold weather, a perfect way to relax and let the kids get some energy out!

Karen Kastner

Judd Person

A fantastic place with an excellent host! Oscar and Debbie both were amazing, and sat around the grill sharing stories and local information The rooms were cozy, the beds were comfy, and the showers were my favorite Being about a half mile from town, it was no big deal to walk to town if parking at the shops were full

The view from the balcony was second to none, and Oscar was able to direct us wherever we needed to go After a great weekend with the family, he suggested we stop by Sliding Rock in Brevard County on our way home A small detour that ended up being well worth it, and something we never would have found on our own Will definitely be staying here again, and we are already planning a return trip next opening season

Trina George

This was a nice place to stay It was very clean and comfortable Oscar was very nice

This area does not have chain motels/hotels so they aren’t the same as what you will find near the interstate The lodging in this area reminds me of the old motor lodge days It takes you back in time They are locally owned and operated This place was more than I expected The beds were comfortable and plenty of room in the bathroom There’s even a little water fall beside the inn It’s only a half mile to town I would stay here again

retnahc

Such an amazing place to stay for the weekend Clean and affordable and knowledgeable staff Oscar and Debbie were beyond helpful in meeting any of our needs, recommendations and even showing our boys where to look for some cool wildlife

Coffee and snacks in the morning and literal seconds from all things lake lure/chimney rock They even have multiple copies of the movies that have been here for guests to enjoy Oscar and Debbie may have been the best part

If you are looking for a modern place this isn’t it This is an older lodge and it’s rustic but comfortable We stayed here one night and loved the ability to walk out on the balcony and listen to the river

Had it not been so cold it would have been even better I gave 4 stars for two things First the walls are so thin you can hear pretty much everything happening in the other rooms Second the rock floor in the shower While it looks nice it was pretty uncomfortable to stand on Also, the shower sprayed all over the floor when I first turned it on Other than that we had a great stay We did not have any interactions with the staff

Isabella Smith

First it was nice there but there was many bugs and very rude people They told us not to put the trash out because of there was a bear and then proceeded to confront and tell us that there was some much trash in the room Then confronted us when we was fixing to leave and said we do not need to touch the bed anymore cause we ruined it, how was we supposed to know that we do not need to touch the bed cause of the bed bug covers? And they told us we need to leave even to we was going out the door

This is a very bad experience and I hope they got whatever they wanted when they charged us for stuff we didn’t do❤️

Elaine Ray

Great location! Clean and comfortable small roomsCoffee and muffins in the morning and a very hospitable staff! Beautiful river view and view of Chimney rock!Would stay here again

The Bent Creek Lodge was such a wonderful experience We stayed the weekend there for a wedding and everything about this place was amazing Our room was spacious and clean with a huge jacuzzi tub and a back door to the porch area

The gardens and surrounding areas are gorgeous and the hospitality was immaculate Delicious breakfasts and hot coffee served every morning with complimentary homemade cookies throughout the day were fantastic Randy and Linda and the other ladies who worked there made our stay such a joyful experience I normally don’t write such long winded reviews but this place is top notch and I will definitely be back 10/10 absolutely recommended

Rebecca Tirs

What an incredible stay we had The bedroom/bathroom had everything we needed The family room had rocking chairs, games, a pool table, snacks, fridge, microwave, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, filtered water, plates, & utensils

It was so well thought out! We sat outside on the back deck every morning watching the hummingbirds, eating breakfast (which was delicious, healthy, & thoughtful considering I’m a vegetarian) and every evening sitting outside our room overlooking the beautiful garden listening to the birds chirp We also had interesting conversations with other guests What set this B & B apart from others were the owner & staff Randy, the owner, was a wealth of information, professional, on top of anything we needed, and very nice The staff, Linda, Abby, & Emily, were all very sweet, funny, and kept things running like a well oiled machine They felt like family- but the kind you love seeing 😉 My mom hadn’t had a vacation in over 25 years bc of caring for her husband who was a quadriplegic When he passed it was time to give mom a breath of fresh air, a good time, and a relaxing place to stay- that was Bent Creek Lodge Thanks for being such a wonderful “home” base while we were on vacation Loved the lodge & loved the people <3

Allyson Prace

My husband and I recently stayed at the Bent Creek Lodge Hands down, this was a wonderful choice! The owner, Randy, and his A+ staff are hard to beat Randy was a great host – absolutely at the ready to make our stay perfect

Linda checked us in and was the main “concierge” — just a delightful, friendly, funny personality and nature expert that made us feel right at home Tracy is a GREAT chef who prepared incredible breakfasts that would power you to hike the Blue Ridge Mountains all day! If you want to avoid the busy city area and desire a very peaceful setting in the woods, you need not look any farther We will be returning!

My wife and I loved this place this was our first time staying in a B and B we couldn’t be more happy Kristen was so personable The breakfast was delicious we had Belgium waffles with blueberries and strawberries and scrambled eggs

The coffee was delicious as well (and I’m very particular about my coffee) I typically drink only Italian/Spanish coffee We would definitely stay again There is a small bridge right outside where you have a view of the broad river it’s so relaxing Look forward to trying the mini golf course attached to the inn next time Thank you for opening your home Stephanie and I wish you both continued success

Robert Looney

I recently enjoyed a fantastic stay at Broad River Inn during a solo overnight trip and it was absolutely fantastic The Inn was very clean, charming and had a completely different atmosphere and feel to it than a typical hotel The location was also perfect

I stayed in Room 8 which was downstairs and perfect for my needs It had a super comfortable king bed and a “to-die-for” shower with three different shower heads including a rainfall head directly above Attached to the room was a balcony that was twice the size of what I would have expected It overlooked the 18-hole mini golf course and river and had various comfortable seating options and even a small refrigerator for my use Sitting on this balcony seeing and hearing the sound of the river running was so relaxing Lastly, I had the opportunity to chat with the owner Kristen during breakfast and could immediately tell she truly cared about my experience and wanted to make sure I enjoyed my stay I could go on and on about things I loved about this Inn, but I would certainly recommend it to anyone staying in the Chimney Rock area You won’t be disappointed!

Zaida

So, glad we picked to stay at the Broad River Inn Nick and Kristen made us feel like home, they were not just our hostess they were friends, they were attentive , friendly, humble The house has so much history it takes you back in time, but still shows you the beauty of all the details the have put into it, keeping it as original as possible

The views surrounding the house is breath taking making you part of nature Sleeping with the sound of the river is relaxing, therapeutic I would say The complimentary breakfast was delicious, well balanced Serve by Nick and Kristen them self We wish the best to Nick and Kristen and we will definitely will be back If you want the best place to stay in Chimney Rock the Broad River Inn is the place

I can’t comment on the value for price, as we got this room severely discounted as a rewards points special The hotel itself is pretty and the coffee was actually decent The rooms are fine, the dim but not completely dark light installed into the bed frame was my favorite part about them

I unfortunately could not get my shower to get hot and had almost no water pressure, and the bottles in the room looked full but wouldn’t pump The breakfast was one of the worst tasting continental breakfasts I’ve ever had But it is in a decent location and the staff were very friendly We arrived before the snow started and got a beautiful view of it from the hotel windows before we left

M C

This hotel is really nice We had a late check in It’s near plenty of food and gas

Not too far from the interstate so easy to find Front desk staff was very nice Room was clean and modern Shower is amazing Dove products provided Breakfast is hot and very good Lobby is beautiful My only con was I felt the shower could’ve been cleaned better and the bodywash was empty ( 2 adults & 1 child Minority traveler)

Kimberly Irwin

Great place to stop if driving through The room and bathroom were super clean, front desk was courteous and kind, location was great (right off the interstate), and the coffee was pretty good The room was modern and well-equipped with a good desk area to work

The beds and pillows were comfortable, and the room was spacious The bathroom was also roomy with a bonus walk-in showernice! They also supplied Watkins brand toiletriesin the large sizes, so you don’t have to deal with all those tiny little bottles that are never enough and always fall everywhere in the shower They did supply a hot breakfast with eggs, bacon, and turkey sausage They also had pancakes, juices, yogurt, breads and cereals I gave 4 stars because the breakfast was ok and I do wish the carpet was replaced with laminate/plank floors throughout the room

Absolutely amazing place to stay Owners are extremely nice and helpful with any & all questions you might have The cabin we stayed in was very clean & just enough room for our family of 4

Beautiful screened in porch with rocking chairs and dining table AC, fridge, everything needed to cook a meal + a outside grill Porch sat right over the creek / river Would definitely recommend to anyone & will most definitely be coming back!

This rustic room was the PERFECT place to stay! If your looking for a cozy place to spend the night that is super close to Chimney Rock this place is it!! Right on the river, you can see the falls (in the distance) from the Poarch, camp fire at night, hosts are on site for any of you needs! They have updated TVs so you can stream if you’re stuck inside due to bad weather As others have stated these rooms are a bit dated, but the floors were new vinyl planking so SUPER clean we NO Carpets and as mentioned the newer TVs!! #Win we stayed in the flower room with two queens (room 10) and had great access to the river! There was also plenty of free parking right outside the rooms! Not for those looking for a spa/resort … this place was simple and absolutely perfect for us!! You won’t regret staying here… oh and it’s the only place on the river with DIRECT private access!!

Scotty Simmons

I recently stayed here and had a wonderful experience! The caretakers, Tim and Yvonne, were extremely nice and were always there to make sure the stay was as pleasant as possible As everyone has stated in recent posts, the property was beautiful and peaceful while centered around an abundance of nature by the river The only complaint I have is that they should consider upgrading their internet service

The weak signal doesn’t allow much for streaming or video conferences, which I tried to access on several occasions unsuccessfully

We were looking for a romantic cabin getaway on our anniversary trip to Asheville and we’re so glad we found this place! We enjoyed our stay so much that we didn’t want to leave after only 4 days! The cabin was clean, cute & cozy, just the perfect size and had everything we needed We loved using the fire pits outside, having coffee or wine out on the deck overlooking the beautiful Fall colored trees & listening to the river right in front of us, and sitting in front of the fire place to watch a movie on the cold nights! It had the perfect combination of feeling rustic and like you’re out in nature remotely away from it all, but having all the modern conveniences & close to everything Asheville has to offer The bed was so comfortable and we slept so well after long days exploring the area

We ended up not cooking this trip because there were several restaurants we wanted to try, but appreciated having everything in the kitchen and a grill on the patio if we wanted to And some of the host’s recommendations we really enjoyed! The contactless check in & out was nice, the location was easy to find & access, and the host was prompt in communication If we ever make it back to Asheville we look forward to staying here again and definitely recommend the Rocky River cabin to anyone looking for a wonderful vacation experience!

Denise Beacham

This place is amazing! The bed was super comfortable, the cabin was nicely decorated, the hot tub was very much enjoyable, and the entire cabin was super clean! This location was quiet and felt remote, but was only 10-15 minutes from town and places to do things We had a very relaxing and enjoyable getaway and are looking forward to our next stay!

Clean, comfy, cozy!We got in to town a little late so the front staff had sent us instructions on how to access our room We got a room with 2 queen beds

Man, these beds are comfy!! A lot better than the fancy hotel we stayed at the night prior!! We got 3 HOT showers back to back Our view of the golf course will was wonderfulThe best $135 room I’ve ever stayed in!

Matt Gannon

I did a stay and play package here and it was wonderful and budget friendly Played 9 on Fri, 18 on Sat and Sun Etowah Valley Golf has 3 great 9 hole course, each with a different feel

My favorite was the south course, but they were each lots of fun The fairways are absolutely plush, really good shape right now The vast majority of the greens are in excellent condition A few greens on the North course had some issues, but that didn’t negatively impact how the ball rolled The rough on all three courses is extremely thick so either keep it in the fairway or buy some cheap balls in bulk I don’t even want to think about how many balls I lost this weekend to the roughThe practice green is a lot of fun, the driving range needs to be resoded in the hitting area or just give up and put some high quality mats down The current system is awkward Pool was nice, room was very good don’t come here expecting super, modern, luxury rooms that stuff costs money I’d rather them focus on the course anyway They were clean, comfy bed, no issues The view from the balcony was really specialThe food at Zeke’s was tasty, the servers were great at their jobs, my man on the grill Sunday with the tie-dye shirt knows what’s up Very good customer service all around from check in/out, food service, house keeping, cart team and the rangerLastly, I would like it known to all who read this that I hit a punch out 4 iron on #6 North from the right rough through a tree and it ended up a foot from the hole for a tap in birdieOverall I had a wonderful time and I’ll definitely be back

randy dunn

Had taken a large group there 20 years ago This trip we had 32 in the group Worked with Louise Henry, in the 20 years we have been doing this I have never worked with anyone so helpful

The course needs work greens were in bad shape due to weather Young man in pro shop needs to take lessons from Mrs Henry on dealing with people If you don’t like your job change it The food was great breakfast and dinner were included in our package The restaurant staff was fantastic thank you A beautiful layout just needs a little work on the course

What an enjoyable Inn We called last minute to find a pleasant receptionist, letting us know of room openings At that time we decided not to make reservations

When we arrived to check in there were 2 room’s available A studio room and a suite with a jacuzzi My husband and I chose the room with the jacuzzi, and my brother the studio After driving from Maine Tuesday, driving 10 hours the first day, and, 12 the next day Needless to say, for me was the enjoyment of a jacuzzi bath at the end of the day! The room was spotless, as well as the tub! Thank you so much!

Very beautiful place Staff was awesome very friendly also Have a emotional support dog and there was a security that was covering the front desk

He didn’t know how to put it in the system cause we wa just covering for someone so he charged us 2500 for the dog but in the morning they took the 2500 off the bill Awesome place I will go back there again And the room we stayed in was huge and the king bed was so very comfy and I have a bad back and it didn’t hurt me at all and usually I’m in pain

I’ve stayed 3 times and will stay again The central large two floor apartment is fantastic And the smaller apartments are pretty decent

I haven’t used the regular rooms but they are pretty standard Location is fantastic and you can easily walk into town Me and the family also love the little restaurant / bar It’s not a super fancy place but I still love it The staff have been very friendly as well

Tesla Trent

My first time visiting and I was ready to go again the next day It was a nice ride there from TN Our server was attentive and took care of everyone quickly although they were very busy

Karaoke was going on during our visit which was entertaining The view by the creek was beautiful The whole area is absolutely stunning! This is a perfect get-away for a group of friends or with that special someone It’s also an awesome destination for a motorcycle ride Go visit Chimney Rock/Lake Lure and stop by the Tiki Bar for excellent adult beverages and food!

Rachel Harvley

What a horrible, wretched place and people! It’s so sad considering I have been visiting Geneva since I was about 5 years old, it’s always been part of our family trips We spread my stepfathers ashes there Last summer I worked there for about a week, the customers were great and it was a fun place to work

However, the chaos in management is something that shouldn’t be and I couldn’t handle it Now for the past stay, we didn’t even stay Turns out the lady in the room beside us works there and even though it was “her day off” she still thought she had some right to yell and cuss at my kids (teens) Chased my daughter up and they didn’t even do anything wrong They were going to the Tiki to order some fries When I confronted her she yelled and cussed at me too! Then Mo the ‘manager’ walks up and asks what’s going on, she ended up yelling at us too!! Wow what trashy people they are Terry (her husband) has always been an easy to get a long with a laid back I am surprised that they haven’t ran it all the way in the ground, seems like they are trying to On top of that where in the world does it cost over 20$ for 2 orders of fries? The renovations look nice Customers should never be verbally abused by an employee and definitely not by management Plain trashy!!!

The hot tub jets and filters were broken both nights, the Speakeasy Bar closed both nights as well The massages were incredible Breakfast was very good as well both days although you have only one option The only vegetarian option for dinner was not great – tortellini which is pretty easily made at home- again nothing special for the price We wanted so badly to love it and tried to be good sports as the owner acknowledges below – but I’d never return or recommend it for the cost and night #2 was the turning point My daughter did talk to the owner after dinner on the last night when We were offered $5 off gift card in the gift shop IF we spent more money As a customer service person herself, my daughter felt this was the point something needed to be said and did so directly to the owner A few of the staff were absolutely wonderful and I would have given it the highest marks with some effort to acknowledge the issues for a weekend this expensive – well over $900 We stayed at a historic B&B our last night of the trip in downtown Asheville- less expensive and unbelievably better management and effort for making things special -noticeable touches lacking at the Esmeralda which compelled me to write this – but thankfully our trip ended on a great note and this in no way ruined it We appreciate everything Good memories and we can laugh about the bad ones

The Esmeralda Inn is a wonderful place to come and relax and be pampered! My wife and I had a wonderful experience here and will definitely be back with our kids another time Each dinner experience was great, and the gourmet breakfast every morning was unique and amazing, especially considering that it’s included! The staff is all very attentive, and there were no details missed They are knowledgeable and considerate, asking us about our day each time we passed the front desk or saw someone in the hall

It is very intimate and cozy The rooms are comfortable but not extravagant, just what we expected The s’mores by wood burning fire and quiet relaxation on the wrap-around porch were absolutely perfect We also definitely enjoyed our picnic lunch at the cabin park on the picturesque river Highly recommended! Thank you!

So I called this place at 900pm they had me in a room by the time My wife and I arrived Immediately felt at home when we walked in The wood staircase and a fire going were amazing to experience

Took me back to a time I never got to experience just for a moment The rooms are a bit drab, the tv was blurry and the view from room 7 is a fire exit! Was told all the rooms have great views we only stayed from 10 that night to 11 the next morning (Was hoping for a slight discount 😀) either way, I’m not complaining I wanted to take my wife on an impromptu spa vacation day and the people at the inn made it all possible we did not get to experience the hot tub or dinner but breakfast was great Oh, and the two-hour couples massage was wow My only complaint is looking up at a metal-air vent while trying to relax Just a suggestion!!Thank you and we will be back

This is as transparent and honest of a review as I can write I don’t write reviews often, but want people to know that the newly restored Saluda Inn is wonderful My wife and I have watched the restoration process from beginning to end, and the talent, attention to detail and heart that was put into this National Historic landmark is truly incredible

This new chapter in it’s story will be something anyone who visits will look back on and be glad they were a part of The design is beautiful, and the atmosphere is both true to it’s history and modern enough for those who want an elegant experience There are good restaurants nearby, beautiful waterfalls only a few minutes away and high end winery experiences to explore The management cares deeply about the customer experience and wants each guest to have a memorable visit We certainly did and left knowing we would return as soon as we could This is an unexpected and unique gem in a charming mountain town Just go and enjoy it, you’ll be glad you did

We felt like we hit the jackpot by staying here mere days after its grand reopening! The owners did an amazing job bringing the historic Inn back to life with such flare and attention to detail Jay, Joel, Beth and Valerie made sure that everything about our experience was perfect, from the glass of champagne when we first arrived to the delicious breakfast spread in the morning We loved that we were able to easily walk into town to shop and enjoy dinner and live music

We can’t wait to visit again!

My husband and I stayed at The Saluda Inn this past weekend for our anniversary We were immediately greeted by Thomas, who led us into the beautifully decorated lobby area that has a charming balance of modern design while honoring the original structure of the inn Our room was gorgeous, cozy, and had a breathtaking view of the terrace and mountains

We were well taken care of and enjoyed visiting some restaurants, both in Saluda and in surrounding towns, that were recommended by Thomas and Beth Jay and Joel, the owners, gave us some insight in to the inn, what shops to explore on Main Street, and made us feel very welcome The amount of love they poured into The Saluda Inn is obvious even as you walk through the grounds and see Joel’s design and Jay’s artwork touching every inch Talking to them, it was also apparent just how much they genuinely love Saluda and the communityWe will absolutely be visiting The Saluda Inn again and look forward to the grand opening of the wine cellar Our next visit will also be to check back in with the amazing staff We truly left feeling that we had been cared for as if we were family or old friends A Saluda, NC gem

I was visiting because my sister had passed away, so not exactly in the best mood or festive Everyone was so compassionate and accommodating The breakfast every morning was excellent and the wine and cheese social in the late afternoon offers am opportunity to relax Their homemade pimento cheese spread is delicious! Thank you Waverly Inn for ensuring that a sad situation still will hold fond memories I look forward to returning just for a fun trip!

We spent the night at the 1898 Waverly Inn as a scouting mission before having our family reunion there The inn is beautiful! Mike and Tracey are wonderful people – very welcoming The location is perfect

It’s located about a block from the beginning of the shopping on Main Street If you’re wondering if you should choose the breakfast/social hour option with your room, the answer is yes Breakfast was absolutely delicious The snacks served during the social hour were very good and there was a nice selection of drinks We met so many nice, interesting people during the social hour, it was a fun experience I can’t wait to go back in June and share this wonderful place with the rest of my family
