This is an old hotel that needs maintenance and an update The room furniture looked tired There was a table but no chair

No convenience outlets on the table or nightstand The sink water flowed slowly The tub fixtures were loose from the wall The drain was cruddy and slow Although the faucet flowed well, the pull-up handle didn’t divert all the water to the shower head Otherwise the room and furnishings were clean and neat

So the missing star Is due to rooms to me wasn’t as big as it should be but maybe I’m nit picking since we all are coming out of covid era Things seemed fairly cleaned as far as I could tell The swim pool is inside, not my favorite area I prefer outside

The best breakfast served though and I mean the best They had plenty of everything and as things ran low the person that was working there was on top of her job Absolutely zero complaints I stayed at other holiday inn express before and they were very stingy of the breakfast side like letting food run out to save inventory Usually by 830am it’s only coffee and bagel or bread left I got down there at 9 expecting left over, nope Like I said, best breakfast I’ve ever had in a hotel, PERIOD! Would reserve again but don’t highly recommend because don’t need you eating the place out of business 😁

I normally do not leave reviews, HOWEVER, my husband just discovered bed bugs Being a truck driver he was limited on the availability due to parking at other hotels in the area The staff has been nice but when I contacted the front desk the instructions given were to take pictures and send them by e-mail and for my husband to bring his stuff to be switched rooms

how do we know the next room doesn’t have them too?!? So much for a much needed nights rest

Nice little hotel on campus Everything has been recently updated The students running the front desk were pleasant and knowledgeable

Very quiet on the floors The only reason for the 4 star review and the only negatives, the west facing room took some time to cool down and the beds seemed to slope downward from the center to both sides Felt like I was going to slide off into the floor all night and was very difficult to relax

Bus access is the pits Nearly impossible to maneuver a 45’tour bus here and bus parking is about 300yds away downhill 100′ or soRoom is clean but not well laid out and is a mix of mid70’s tacky roadside inn and college dorm

The TV is in an entertainment center in such a way that it can only be seen from the double bed on the left They should move it to the top of the center and put coffee service, ice bucket etc In the hole it now occupies Perhaps the interior design students should take a crack at reconfiguring it to be more guest friendly It would be a great learning experience for them Perhaps building trades students could address paint, trim and other finishes to make it more hotel and less dorm? Nice folks, but it is not comfortable nor convenient

We checked in online; however, still had to go to the front desk to get the key The room appeared to be clean That is until we got ready to go to sleep

We removed the couch cushions for the sleeper sofa and it was disgusting There is no telling the last time it was cleaned There was food all over the top and underneath it We informed the receptionist who pretty much said there’s nothing she could do about it since the hotel was booked At check out, we tell the next person and he just stands there and says ok Offers no apology No compensation NOTHING!

Clean hotel with friendly staff Only complaints are the AC doesn’t work as well as it should for how humid this hotel gets and the toilet seat wasn’t even screwed on the toilet

When we first arrived to the room everything was damp We actually thought they forgot to dry our bedding It felt like someone walked around the room while spraying a mister before letting us check in Even the tables had a layer of moisture If you leave your room for any extended period of time the AC will turn itself off and you will come back to wet belongings

Stayed here on 3/12/22 (reservation in my mother’s name), and the room looked okay until you start really looking around Walls are dirty (in room and showers), closet & tv stand dirty externally, carpet is torn up, dirty lamp shades, paint on the ceiling in the bathroom is bubbling/peeling Choose the cold breakfast (cereal & yogurt) over hot breakfast

This place would be nice if there was more attention to detail with cleaning and appearance I’d give it one more chance and hope for a better room

This is a nice hotel I’ve stayed there before in the past and the room is still in the same nice and satisfactory condition that it was Bed, tub, toilet, sink, and entire room in general is nice and clean and I’m a particular person when it comes to cleanses

Everything my wife and I experienced while we were there was good Also the price was reasonable as well which is another plus for me

We called the front desk 3 days in advance and asked specifically if an 18 year old was allowed to get a room and he said yes 3 days later and we come to check in to find out that you cant There is nowhere online saying that you have to be 21+ to book a room and the front desk should have understood me because i asked 3 different times

100 percent perfect I come to Huntsville for business travel, and for years have been staying at another hotel chain That chain has gone completely downhill so I took a chance on the super 8

All I can say is wow I’m in my second night of my stay and this place is absolutely perfect in every way I’m going into detail because I want to be very clear about my experience First of all, the parking lot is spotless and extremely well-lit Secondly, the front desk staff has been completely friendly and accommodating Third the room is immaculate I am going to give a description that I hope most travellers will understand The paint and the caulking in the room is perfect 😂 everything has been remodeled tastefully, there wasn’t a single item missing out of the room, all toiletries available and no scratched up furniture Floors are spotless When you look down the hallway of the hotel you don’t see a speck of dirt on the floor I really hope that they can maintain this so I can say here on every visit to Huntsville! Thanks Super 8 Huntsville! You obviously have pride in ownership!

Been here a few times and every time has always been a blast! This time we rented a cabin Basic cabin, with covered mattresses that sleeps up to 12 I believe Bring your pillow and bedding! Cabins have electricity, AC and Heat

There is a full size fridge and freezer as well, no water but we made it work Microwave is also included Private Portapotty right beside each cabin that was stocked well The cabins are spaced out which provided plenty of parking and are located off in a corner behind the office There is a bath house just up the hill and was nicely stocked with soap, paper towels and toilet paper The park was very clean and there are trash cans along with portapottys on the main trail Good size park with an app that includes the map which is helpful, if you have cell signal Recommend taking a screen shot of the entire map to have on hand A paper map would be awesome to have as well There is a mini store there onsite as well One of the best features of the park is the radiator wash out station It is very hidden but best land mark is just a little left about 25 feet from the electrical post and breaker panel There is a PVC pipe sticking up about 5’ above the ground with a faucet there Lucky there was a hose there but the end was cut off Probably won’t be a bad idea to bring your own hose and sprayer for backup Trails are awesome and you will get lost often but that’s the fun part! When you see the big main trail, signs are posted with direction to camp

Been going to this park since 2008 and I can honestly say that I have never seen it so maintained and user friendly The new owners have really turned things around From the campgrounds to the trails everything is looking great

The cabins are a very convenient and fairly priced option The food trailer cranks out some awesome burgers and fries Staff treats you like family The trails can be as easy or challenging as you like I highly recommend having a winch and a buddy with you if you are going to attempt some of the more challenging areas, especially if it has rained recently Keep up the good work guys!
