So tonight is our wedding night We were excited to come here after our great wedding We got here and we were supposed to have chilled champagne that our family gave us which was just sitting in the box warm not on ice (also no champagne glasses)

There was no chocolate that was also ordered and supposed to be in the room when we got here and we found out that they gave it away to another guest before we got here The chef was gone so we ended up with a tiny slice of cake We were also supposed to have two bath robes and we got here and there was only one I called the front desk and my mother in law also called them and no one would pick up the phone Finally after 6 minutes a lady answered and was rude about it This room was super expensive and we just wanted a good night We will make the best of it but this place is not worth the money we paid The holiday inn would have done a better job honestly Don’t book here You will be disappointed also to top it all off, they charge you $5 for water

Alison Tribble

This was one of the most excellent hotel experiences I’ve ever had and we have been to several luxury hotels The entire staff, from valet to housekeeping and in between, was beyond kind and helpful and seemed like they genuinely wanted us to have the best experience possible Lindsay at the front desk is AMAZING!!! She’s your girl if you need help with anything! The ambiance of the rooftop bar is incredible and the drinks and food there and Mico were delicious! Everything was run like a well oiled machine, we will be staying here again!!

Eric Simpson

Had an amazing stay at the grand bohemian! Didn’t quite know what to expect with it being my first time in a Grand Bohemian hotel but if they all are remotely close to this, I’ve found a new favorite! From the moment I walked through the door I was greeted by the smiling faces of Lauren and Lindsay! I’m not sure when these girls sleep because every interaction I had was with one of the two! From checking in, to asking about the local area, ordering room service, and requesting items to the room, I got to know these ladies very well because they did it all! Unfortunately neither were present as I checked out but I wanted to tell them how much of a positive impact they made on my stay!

Booked here for Mother’s Day to have the kids swim and it was so peacefulThe indoor pool was perfect being that it was chilly The kids had the pool to themselves the entire time

The room was almost perfect, A spill was on the door and was very noticeable but the comfort of the beds took that away from my attentionA great place to relaxGreat service checking in and outWill return back soon!

Joyfully His

We’ve stayed here several times, and we love that we know what to expect There are no surprises or disappointments like you would find in an Airbnb The rooms are ALWAYS clean, the staff is ALWAYS kind and friendly, and the stay is ALWAYS reasonably priced

This hotel experience is what all hotel stays should be like Aloft sets the standards for sure We did have a small problem with the pool, but in all the times we’ve stayed, that’s happened once

Troyshawn Downey

Aloft is usually my go – to hotel when I travel My first time at this upscale location The area is beautiful & I just had to come try it out for myself

The lady at the bar was so sweet & the drinks were definitely on point I think her name was Tori The folks at the front were also nice & helpful Downstairs seemed clean and well put together, room seemed that way as well until i happen to wake up in the middle of the night and use the bathroom I happen to look down under at the lil cubby area and see some Polo Ralph underwear, wife beater, & some other underwear which is the nastiest thing ever I’ve never dealt with that even at some of the more less expensive hotels I’ve stayed at Not all but this Aloft has really lost some points on this one Makes me wonder how clean the room actually is cause apparently housekeeping didn’t do a thorough clean/check on the room if that nasty mess was left behind GET IT TOGETHER ALOFT!!!!!!

We have used this hotel a couple of times for full week large group training We have had to make numerous adjustments during the weeks (aka last minute), and they have been extremely accommodating The catered food options are delicious, and the sales, front desk, and event staff are super attentive and friendly

There is a fabulous balcony next to the meeting rooms (shady but nice and breezy), and the pool deck is also very nice There are tons of places to eat, shopping, and most anything else you might need within walking distance to the hotel, so there’s no need to rent a car for the week We have definitely been pleased

I stayed one night over St Patrick’s Day The hotel is what one would expect for a Hilton Garden Inn They have always been very professionally run in my experience

I enjoy having room on 7th floor as it was nice views The room was very nice It had large shower and large room The bed was very comfortableI liked the bar in the lobby They had good selection of beers including some local brews The prices were very reasonable Parking is convenient to the hotelThe staff was friendly although there was not a ton of interaction as I’ve gotten accustomed to self check in and digital key on the Hilton Honors app I really like just going directly to my room without having to interact with people or wait in any lines

Anthony Lugo

**Beautiful Hotel with Access to Everything **From the lobby to the room this hotel delivered a clean, professional experience I was traveling here for business I was able to check in with access to my room within minutes upon my arrival The front desk staff was very nice understood I was in a hurry for meeting and helped me quickly

The lobby is great for business meetings One on ones are perfect with plenty of spacious seatingThe room had lots of USB plugs along with the lobby furniture Again when it comes to business it’s hotel really did a great job at marketing to the traveling business professionalLots of eating options nearby as well

This hotel is so chic! The ambiance is amazing The staff was polite, courteous, helpful and had extraordinary customer service The room was beautiful

I also appreciated that the hotel was very clean and it is obvious they pay extra attention to the cleanliness and overall sanitation I will definitely stay here on my next trip to Charlotte

Tamara Whatley

I really enjoyed my stay From the greeting at the front desk to the beautiful hotel The room was nice and clean

We went to bar and lounge on the second floor for drinks the drink were good, the only thing is they stop serving food early in the day It would have been nice to At least be able to get some wings or something I would stay again We also had breakfast on the second floor food decent but a little pricey for breakfast

KiMya Alston

The hotel overall was great Front desk was nice during check-in and check-out Very informative when needed

We stayed during Valentine’s Day weekend and was told it was sold out but you wouldn’t have known because it was quiet all night Parking was available in garage not too far away but tight fit We ended up parking on the street since it was closer Only thing I wasn’t a fan of is that the bathroom wasn’t completely private in the room

This is one of the best hotels I have stayed in It’s right in the middle of Charlotte’s downtown and walking distance from highly rated restaurants and fun things to do like the science museum In the room we had the view was fantastic

You have to pay for parking but we didn’t need to drive most places because the location is so walkableEveryone we interacted with was very nice and accommodating You can tell that the staff are proud of the hotel At night they had cookies out and you can enjoy some very good free tea and coffee any timeThe rooms are amazing I stayed with my husband in the Premier Room, which has one queen bed The furniture was in good condition, very classy but not old There are charging outlets for different types of devices The TV was very nice and had a good sound system A few times I felt like I could hear my neighbors a little bit it wasn’t bad Also I love the shower It had a horizontal showerhead thing so you could get two sources at once Water pressure was greatSo yeah we loved it! Hope we can stay again some day

Chelsea

My sister and I were in town for a girl’s night We booked a room at the Dunhill through a third party, at a discounted rateWe enjoyed our stay! The lady at the front desk was very helpful and kind

The bed was heavenly the bathroom new and clean with outstanding linens* the topper was our dinner! We had room service from the hotels restaurant Fine and Ferrell The wage burgers were cooked to perfection Truffle fries to die for

LOVED this hotel and wish there were more Canopy chains around!!! The facility was extremely clean, well decorated, and had a very warm and inviting, cozy feel with the holiday decor/vibe I thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of my stay with my boyfriend and our dog – from the convenience of check in/out, the layout of the hotel, the luxurious feel of the hotel (decor, room set up and bath amenities), convenience and ability to travel and stay with our dog, and the DELICIOUS food and drinks at the lobby restaurant – Fine & Fettle I had cocktails at night and enjoyed a WONDERFUL breakfast the following morning

Everything was fabulous!!! Thank you Canopy/Hilton!!!

Maiya Williams

Comfortable bed, clean room, nice bathroom I enjoyed the common areas, especially the outdoor seating Tried to enjoy the restaurant but they weren’t serving the dinner menu due to lack of kitchen staff

Was able to order for lunch & a personal pizza took over an hour, & it was disgusting The guy at the bar was really sweet & comped it, plus he made great drinks Valet was slow & unprofessional It also seemed unnecessary to have mandatory valet when there was an empty parking garage right outside the hotel where they had my car parked anyway I understand hotels being pet friendly but they really need to separate the floors I heard puppies crying & dogs barking all day & night If I could guarantee being on a floor free of pets I would definitely stay again I loved the room

And the food here is amazing Thank y’all for making my stay so comfortable

Nothing spectacular to say about the hotel We booked through AirBnB and that will be the last time I book a hotel through them It was made to seem like it was a normal condo room but in reality it was just a standard king room

Our room had a few flaws for $150 a night, we had the same issue that others have complained about, the headboard was peeling and we woke up with black flakes on our heads and the pillows The beds were not comfortable, they felt like they were just bedding laid on a pull out for a couch The sheets seemed clean, but we didn’t remove the covers and really look Laying in the bed you could see all the dirt on the air vent though that hasn’t been cleaned in a while The room was spacious but could have used a mini fridge instead of a instant espresso machine The bathroom wasn’t bad but the shower floor could use a mat or something, it was super slippery when I walked in and almost fell, I thought it might have been from the cleaner but my partner pointed out it could have been from conditioner from a previous guest and not cleaned at all Finally parking, it’s $25 non-negotiable for parking, $35 for valet It’s worth it to pay $10 more for valet, I didn’t personally park myself but heard it’s a nightmare to get in and out of the parking area We didn’t eat at the restaurant on site, it was far too expensive for us nor did we use the roof top bar because the hotel was packed and riding the elevator, we were constantly stopped by other riders and staff They had 4 elevator, you’d think one would be staff only for this very reason

Jara Flowers

The hotel online looks very nice however in person it’s a different story The parking garage is not very lit and it looks sketchy My room plumbing sucked water was not draining properly

Toilet wouldn’t flush unless you flushed twice The decor was nice looking however the furniture was peeling bed off the headboard The next morning when we woke up we noticed a spot between the beds that looked like dried up vomit that housekeeping did not clean up from previous guests Would not recommend

Appalled this is considered a Hilton Upon arrival I was greeted by friendly staff and a great lobby area but this is where the positives stopped At first glance the room was nice but after spending any amount of time looking around I become more and more horrified at the quality and cleanliness of the room where I was supposed to be sleeping

From stained walls, carpets, peeling wallpaper, rusty drains, and crumbling tile it was hard to imagine this hotel being associated with the Hilton name Don’t even get me started on the popcorn ceilings The location was great and the staff really were nice but the quality for the price just was lacking severely I’d recommend staying elsewhere

Frank Johnson

Outstanding place to stay Competitive rates, luxurious rooms, and the “All You Can Eat” hummus and whitefish bar was amazing Took me a minute or two to program the Auto-Butler, but once I did, boy, that thing buffed my shoes to a mirror shine

Still took some getting used to having him follow me into the shower with that synthetic loofah, but it’s all good Jimmy the valet parker also knows where to get the “goods”

Khaleel Bremby

Our stay at the Hilton Garden Inn Charlotte Uptown was significantly below average We didn’t expect much, but this place was barely the bare minimum The rating is immensely miss leading

If you can, please pay the extra money and stay somewhere else Don’t waste your time Starting with the good, the location is perfect Great walking distance to spectrum center, and a lot of food Philicia, the young lady who checked us in, was accommodating and affable The bad is specifically with the hotel itself Our room was horrific Rips/holes in the carpet, dirty towels, no trash bags in the trash can, malfunctioning tv, etcAdditionally, one of the staff members, I’m not sure whom, was very rude and dismissive over the phone There was an erroneous charge on my account that I was trying to get handled, yet the young lady cut me off multiple times during the conversation and didn’t take the time to understand my issue I asked if she could refrain from cutting me off, so I could communicate my issue, yet she persisted, and I ended the conversation

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at this hotel Everything was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the staff was nice and accommodating The indoor pool is nice, along with the gym and bar in the hotel

They do not have a continental breakfast, but there’s at least 2 or 3 different restaurants in the same parking lot that you can get breakfast at I’d definitely stay here again! Close to downtown and the suburbs

Jess Sterling

Where to start! First off I’d like to thank the staff, especially Emma You made our short stay worth the 9 hour drive! The politeness to our children and making sure everything was taken care of for us Taking the time to check out each kid( individually, bc they had to use their own money) every time they wanted a snack 🤦🏻‍♀️ We appreciate your kindness and if we are in the area again will definitely be back to stay with you

Exceptionally clean, quick with requests, and the breakfast was delicious! The young girl at the breakfast station, I didn’t get her name, but my Starbucks white chocolate mocha was better than I’ve had at Starbucks ❤️

Matthew Greenbaum

The rooms and property are pretty nice The evening staff wasn’t particularly helpful during check-in He did not know how to link two reservations or enter a late check out, and he didn’t acknowledge Ambassador status

The day staff was more helpful, but are hamstrung by unaccomodating management Further, there is no complimentary breakfast

I checked in here as my flight was delayed by 24 hours There was no catering facilities or anything nearby All that was available was a pizza delivery or chips and snacks from the lobby

Rooms were spacious and very clean All the team were very helpful and friendly Unfortunately the walls are paper thin I could hear the man next door snoring so loudly and talking the next morning I was too tired to request a room change Good value for money too

Always “Call Me Effy” Effy

We had a Nice stay There’s an outdoor Pool and Rooms wBalconies that overlook the pool area Room was spacious, Big TV, big beds, and a nice size Bathroom

It was very clean ONLY downside isIDK what happen to the continental breakfast we walked thru just to see what they had but Only the little restaurant was open This was a Lovely stay and super convenient to EVERYTHING!! perfect location

Andy

Great little hotel – hidden gem in Southpark They’ve updated the exterior and interior to give it a bit of an updated facelift The interior pool area and courtyard is perfect

Great little grass areas for chilling, a fire pit, lots of tables with umbrellas, and a great pool with lots of lounge chairs I almost hate to leave this review, because it’s such a chill spot and I don’t want to share it with anyone! Lol We live in Charlotte, but it’s one of our favorite staycation hotels Get a first floor room with a patio and a walkout to the pool and courtyard

My husband, my dog, and myself stayed here for 3 days/2 nights Although we did not utilize the pool it looked clean and smelled like the ocean The elevators did not smell bad like in most places, the hallways were very clean

The room was immaculate well stocked, and in great condition The bed was the bed was a little on the harder side but that is just a matter of my preference The hotel staff was friendly and helpful, the restaurant was clean The exterior was clean We had no issues with any of the staff while we were there Our dog felt welcomed and comfortable All-in-all a wonderful experience and I would definitely visit again

Dom Gray

Horrible! Writing a very honest review to warn people of the state of this hotel When booking I did not get an accurate feel of how bad things are here or I would’ve made sure to avoid this hotel I was very close to leaving and finding better accommodations which is a 1st and I have stayed at various star hotels

Pro- Excellent locationCons- Cleanliness, amenities, air quality on some floors, but 1st and foremost Cleanliness! Our 1st room was so dirty that it seemed like all they did was change the sheets The floors were sticky and nothing was cleaned They did not supply enough towels for our 4 guests and when asked we never received any new ones Thankfully my children were visiting with family at another hotel for a couple of days so we didn’t have to keep begging for common items For this price they should be ashamed to even welcome guests into this place Of course there is a shortage of staff (everywhere) but if you cannot even clean the rooms properly they should limit guests to the staff available Our 2nd room was at least acceptable enough for us to finish off our stay without leaving We considered the pool when booking but would not dare step foot in there The water did not look clean and there was a sock that I’m sure will still be there once we check outThe icing on the cake was housekeeping knocking on the door at 9am on checkout day For this price please book somewhere else unless the location is all you are worried about

Chrisopigi Maggiorou

It was very good when I was there 7 years ago This year I went again, I believe it is very expensive for what they giveThe food it was good

Many closed area at the inside garden area, it was open only the bar area Very good tips the security at the parking lot at night time Very good the girl with the long black hair at the bar at night shift

Common areas and room furniture are nice, modern, and clean Staff are really helpful and I appreciated that they were flexible about late checkout Not all amenities were open and the hotel seemed understaffed; beds could be comfier, and the hallways could stand to be updated

The snack area in the lobby was nice, though Overall, not at all a bad place to stay!

Spencer Kuhlman

When we checked in, we were told the bistro had a complimentary breakfast in the morning Guess that was just a lie? The only options available were $9 breakfast sandwiches that did not look appetizing The hallways of this hotel smell like burnt feet

The shower in the room smelled of mold and was not ventilated at all Overall, the whole place has a musty feeling that is not welcoming The sheets were like construction paper Unlikely that we stay here ever again Beware!

Kellz W

Room was clean and the staff went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience We went downstairs for breakfast and had the absolute best time chatting with Ms/Mrs Roshella at the breakfast bar She provided exceptional customer service and made sure we had everything we needed

She definitely deserves a bonus 🤗 I really enjoyed my stay

Very soft all foam king bed mattress, very loud road noise on back side of hotel, good suite layout, good breakfast except scrambled eggs were powdered reconstituted eggs Dated, dirty carpet in the hallways Only one elevator made the engineering a calculated risk for any who depend on such amenities

For a normally upscale stay an overall mediocre C+ I will avoid this place in future travels

I was disappointed with this hotel I am from out of town and had been on the road for 6hrs Although the rooms were outdated, I was willing to make do with my 3night stay, BUT once I had to kill a 2inch cockroach, I shortened my stay

The front desk was notified and had poor customer service once she was told that the room had cockroaches in it I had to pack up my luggage and was given another room I will not be staying another night and definitely not this hotel again

Rooms/decor are very old, lots of wear on the furniture and only the lobby and dinning area seems renewed a bit We chose this because we needed a two bedeoom suite Some odd smell in the corridor, not sure what it is

Breakfast in the morning is okay, swimming pool is outdoor I don’t think they have an electrical charger on premise, lots of parking avaialble Near by shopping center avaialble for groceries if you are staying for extended time and in within 2 mile radius there are lots of restaurants

Was super impressed by this hotel and pleasantly surprised by the area We were stopping overnight on a drive to Florida with our two dogs The rooms were a great size, very comfortable

Staff was mostly friendly although a little sparse at times especially at the breakfast bar in the AM The surrounding area is very quaint and I kind of wish we got to explore more! We went to a Hornets game and it was a great proximity to the heart of the city Can’t beat the free parking on premises plus there were nice places to walk the dogs, just nowhere they could really run off leash within walking distance Overall, would definitely stay again!

Arrived on Friday, parking was easy space at AC is limited but the Marriott also has a huge parking area

the front desk staff, gracious and accommodating Like all AC’s clean simple contemporary room was clean, contemporary and comfortable a mini-fridge (To the idiots who give a 1 or 2 star review because there is no microwave? really?? It is NOT a requirement in a non- resort/long stay hotel The amount of restaurants nearby because of South Park is Wonderful(The mall is 1 block) Cordial is very nice a place to drink cordials vs dinner breakfast not a huge selection but fresh the avocado toast was delicious

This place is beautiful but my room was not clean My son was already laying in the bed before I inspected the sheets Low and behold the top comforter was covered with make up and no telling what else

I was upset my child was exposed to someone else’s stay from the night before They did move me to another one room I checked in around 9pm so I waited to speak with the manager the next morning because I didn’t want to bother the lovely receptionist So called to ask for a complementary breakfast for my children and I to only be offered $10😳😬 voucher for my inconvenience in their dirty room Where is the or courtesy just some remorse for my family that had to pack up and go to another one Please just inspect your room first!

Love this hotel! From the moment I walked in the door, I was greeted with friendly smiles and overall courtesy The hotel itself is in a really nice location Everything about the hotel was clean as well, which is a big factor for me while booking a place to stay

After spending a day in the summer sun, it was nice to come back to complementary beer, wine, and refreshments The rooftop bar was perfect for a nightcap before heading to bed I would definitely stay at this hotel again the next time I go to Charlotte!

The room is very nice, especially the bathroom A minibar is advertised, but there isn’t one in the room The front desk directs you to the bar or some snacks in the lobby

They only have ice machines on every other floor Coffee bar downstairs is very minimal and not very hot, with no oat or almond milk The toilet paper is scratchy In our room, one towel and the duvet were stained The streaming TV service was choppy while trying to watch a movie The location is great, except for the loud cars racing up and down the street all night Valet is $40/day but very attentive and helpful

Camille Carter

So the hotel is well appointed and service was EXTREMELY PERSONABLE The rooms were clean’ish, decorated neatly and spacious Now the bathrooms were out of line

The shower rod kept falling My tub had a very slow drain (disgusting) The shower liner/curtain seemed a little gross I also questioned the cleanliness after seeing a blond hair on the bathroom wall Shower was TINY I always felt safe There was always someone within hearing range to help you out Valet is $40 but they are fast, efficient, and you have come and go privileges

We stay at Marriotts about 20x per year and now thinking of looking elsewhere Marriott cutting cost so much that the bath area pictured was like a Motel 6! King bed was comfortable but tiny sink area suitable for only 1 person/room and awful glaring industrial lighting No way for a female traveler to put on makeup

There was a long mirror on opposite wall but lighting just as bad Coffee maker also didn’t work and bistro offerings have gone downhill – microwaved mush

Brian Mangual

We had a terrible stay here We found a cockroach on our bed and despite notifying the staff we have still not received our refund 3 weeks later The night we stayed here the hotel was not even 1/4 booked and the staff roomed us on the parking lot side facing a gas station in lieu of the much quieter back side

I do not recommend this hotel because they clearly don’t know what they’re doing and have a cockroach problem If I could post a picture I would but stay away from this one

We came here for a little staycation We had a package for a resort credit and breakfast We spent our day at the spa Saturday

They were excellent This review is not for them The room was your typical hotel room The bed was awful Hard as a rock My husband even asked me at midnight if we wanted to go home The pillows were feather pillows that withered away to nothing when you laid your head on them I’m going to have to rerun to the spa after laying on that rock all night I then tried to use a gift card for portion of our stay After running the card 6 times I was told they couldn’t get it to go through Didn’t bother to call for help to find out why Come to find out my card was charged $1 every time they ran it! For the money I paid this was an awful stay I’ve stayed at hotels that cost way less and had a better experience Not the luxurious stay I was hoping for DisappointedWas also not impressed with the indoor pool and hot tub area Needs a major upgradeCould hear every noise that was made in the hallwayConstruction was the greatest view 👌👌Nothing luxury about this luxury hotel go spend your money somewhere better

I came here for an event and stayed one night When we arrived, and very nice porter took care of everything and took us to our room Rooms were very clean, as well as the overall hotel

Staff was extremely friendly and helpful The view was nice, and the hotel is actively working on making it even better with upgrades The price to performance is quite decent I recommend this place if you’re looking for somewhere luxurious to stay!

Worst hotel experience of my life Came down here for a couples vacation planned with the normal activities: sitting by the pool, spa, room service, etc

We were excited to enjoy the full resort experience; boy were we disappointed We originally planned to stay for 3 nights but checked out a day early because the experience was so bad Even checking out required an hour long argument with the manager Let me start from the beginning The room we paid extra for with “views of the golf course” was a construction site No mention of this on the website and certainly not reflected in the nightly rate It was dirty, the bed was hard, the balcony had a colony of roaches living on it Called for pillows at 4pm and never received them We were not notified that housekeeping was by request only and even when we requested it, they never came 20% gratuity included because they know the service is terrible Room service was same quality as a Denny’s When we checked out, the bellboy never showed up after 40 minutes of waiting Only redeeming part of this trip is that the spa experience was great and the staff there were quite nice and talented Everything about staying at the hotel was a nightmare and I will not be staying at another Marriott if this is their definition of ‘luxury’

If I could give my experience for AC Hotel more than 5 stars, I would in a heartbeat We had walked into the AC Hotel, thinking it was our hotel we booked (it was not) Kim at the front desk left such an ASTONISHING impression on us that we left AC to book into our actual hotel, only to book out and return to AC for our one-night stay almost immediately

Kim went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and knowledge about the hotel THEN, to make an already great experience even better, Julian at the bar took it to the stars He was the only one there and still made sure we were consistently taken care of His recommendations on both food and drink were all 100 I highly recommend this hotel to everyone and I will never stay anywhere else

Did a quick one night stay at the AC Uptown Charlotte while in town for an event at the Spectrum Center This is definitely a great location if you ever going to a game, concert or other event there After walking out of the front door, I was at the Spectrum Center in less than two minutes

Hotel has an overall modern vibe The room was very nice and clean The bathroom was modern and clean as well AC Hotel brand is quickly becoming a favorite for short, low key trips
