Fantastic stay, 5 minute walk to the beach, the condo we stayed in was perfect with great sq footage, excellent air conditioning and kitchen The staff is friendly & very approachable for any questions/needs This felt like a 5 star stay with how amenities were, the privacy we had, & the staff coming by to give fresh towels as needed

Everything was clean, parking always available, the views were amazing This area sits in the perfect location to the local town and beach Great views & I can’t wait to come back!

Deidra Amethyst Morningstar

Charming little place Looks a little run down from the outside (the stairs and landings could use some sanding and paint), which made the neatness of the room surprising Room was clean

Very small, only 1 small night stand, so no unpacking the suitcase Bring hangers and a blanket The quilt had rips and was not much heavier than the sheet The mattress was horribleThe staff was very friendly My favorite part was the heated pool and hot tub! Awesome way to end the day, although I wish it were open later We had to rush back after dinner to have time in the hot tub every dayAll in all, it was a relaxing and enjoyable place to spend a week on the beach!

Jeannette Tovar

Overall, I like this hotel The room is comfortable, the breakfast is nice, the location is convenient and most of the staff is friendly You have to take into consideration that this is a touristy area being near the beach, and there’s a lot of guys that stay here for various trade/skill type jobs

It’s also humid and hot All of this causes a lot of wear and tear on any hotel in the area (believe me I’ve tried them all and still came back to this one)However, there are a few things that could totally improve the stay DO SOMETHING ABOUT THE DOORS SLAMMING! IT’S HORRIBLE AT 5AM, 6AM, 1AM I”ve been at hotels where the doors almost don’t close all the way they have things on them that will slow it down and lessens the chance of that happening Definitely try and get a room in the front of the hotel I’m on the backside which is where the afternoon sun is the worse, and people are celebrating a birthday down around the pool area I know this because I can hear every word With my TV and AC on They might as well be in my room or in the hall or right next door I would do anything to be on the front side of the hotel right now, and will be sure to choose my room next time!

Amanda Jimenez

I cant believe I paid $360 (with a group discount) for a 2 night stay at this hotel I definitely didn’t get the Hilton experience I paid for More like a Motel 8

The room had so many broken things that I was surprised anything at all worked The bathroom sliding door was broken and wouldn’t stay closed The fridge didn’t stay cold, the room stayed hot at night and our dead bolt would was loose and would lock us out of the room when no one was inside I ended up leaving and booking next door for the rest of the week

JESSICA MONTALVO

Clean- and I know because I went over all flat surfaces in room and batch room with a Clorox wipe and wipe was always visably clean!Breakfast was GREAT!!! Eating area was also spacious allowing social distancesCheck in was easy! Check out was easy!Smelled clean and welcoming when walking in

I was about to give 5 stars until a cockroach from the ceiling fell on my head in the bathroom The rooms are nice We were mostly on the beach or checking out the sites

So we only really slept there We brought our own food and kept it in the ice chest or the fridge It was a great stay My family really enjoyed it And you know they enjoyed it when they were snoring when they were sleeping We will be back next year The beach is 3 or 4 blocks away That’s a nice walk Or you could drive your vehicle down to the beach too If all goes well next year I can change my review to five stars Just that cockroach falling on my head at 2:00 in the morning in the bathroom was not okay

We stayed at “On the half shell”Firstly, we arrived an hour after check in, we then had to wait an additional 30 minutes because house keeping showed up at the same time we did How can the room not be ready at a 4pm check-in when the checkout time is 10am? Then upon arrival back to our room, the door code that was given to us was not correct

So we waited another 20 minutes for someone to show up with a code and to get into our room The room we booked was listed as a pool view The reason we booked it was it came with an additional balcony Well our room had no balcony nor pool view Our room wasn’t the nicest but it wasn’t the worst It had busted tile and stained couch cushions(Pictures included) We tried to talk to management but they didn’t call back until 10 minutes before their office closed and then acted as if they couldn’t hear us and hung up They didn’t return calls afterwards The office staff on site is only an HOA board member and reports any issues to management but can’t do anything to fix issues We heard nothing back after stating issues with our room, only that she would make sure they would fix the website error about the pool view for that unit The pool, basketball/tennis court, and boardwalk to beach were nice, but we definitely won’t be staying here again Only reasons for two stars on service was because of the nice gentleman and prompt arrival to get us in our room

Sandra Humphreys

This location is on the beach which is not easy to get these days in Port Aransas The buildings are dated but individual units have been updated We stayed in unit 154 which is ground level and has an extremely limited view of the beach

The dunes cover 98% of the view We stayed in late April so it was extremely quiet If a beach view is important make sure to get a 2nd or 3rd floor unit

This review is for the restaurant only Our family of 5 had a great experience! If you go into it knowing that its fried bar food then you wont be disappointed They also have flavored teas that are really good and you cant beat the location! If you have high standards then don’t bother but if you are reasonable then go enjoy! Its worth checking out and its supper convenient to hop on in while spending the day at the beach

Lindsey Johnson

A great place to stay Took a while to get food and drinks, but worth the wait When we needed something, the owner came in himself and took care of it!! The housekeeping didn’t seem to know answers to many questions, but it’s cool, it really wasn’t their job

Great experience Will definitely go back there! I would recommend this place to anyone!!

Lilj M

I love the location the parking was horrible I either had to park on the beach or by the dumpster The golf carts that should have been parked on the beach took up most of the parking The food was not worth the price

Then we took are shower the pressure was very low and the floor started to crack we felt like we where going to fall through the floor My friends rooms where the same When we finally got a good parking spot the staff complained that we where in their normal pathway to the dumpster so we had to move are car to be more convenient for them The beds are the worst about this place it was so hard to sleep if the floor didn’t have as much sand as it did it would be better then the beds here This place needs a real over hall and better parking for their guests!

The staff are overly friendly and professional anything you need they will accommodate your stay

The rooms are well kept and the beds give you the rest you need for your travel literally a home away from home Breakfast was good, the morning attendant warms up your breakfast sandwiches I wish we could stay longer but we have school and work duties

Caitlin Gable

The kids really enjoyed the free breakfast It was conveniently close to Corpus and a lot of great restaurants They were upfront about being low on staff and how housekeeping needed to be requested

My only complaint was the ant infestation in the kitchen area and how the lock on the bathroom was broken Otherwise, it was a nice stay

Rich Gonz

First and foremost, I have never felt the need to post my views about my stay whether I enjoy my stay or disliked it This hotel was clean and is at a great location My only complaint is some of the employee’s on the facility

Like mentioned on a few reviews posted already, the breakfast lady is rude and obnoxious Myself and my family felt as we were bothering this lady at the breakfast area everytime we needed something She was not only rude to me, but also to my kids I believe this old lady’s name is Nancy (as to what her coworkers kept calling her) This older lady has an attitude, mean and talks down to people If you’re wanting any breakfast from this hotel, your going to wait until you find this lady and until she is off of her phone She always seems to be mad at the world anytime you come across herThe hotel is clean the times that I’ve been there And there’s other employee’s that are friendly and helpful My only suggestion is stay away from the breakfast area if you are wanting breakfast There are other nearby restaurants that you can go and have breakfast that aren’t too far from the hotel Which I think is a great location as to where this hotel is located at

Great location and pool Nice that breakfast is included, but know it’s average There was a stain on the sheets, room was maybe lightly cleaned before we arrived

Wasn’t sure any of the linens were replaced Bring your own pillow if you stay here They provided two per person, but they’re as flat as a pancake Another thing that was bothersome: The motel says it’s smoke free, but people staying there would be smoking right outside the rooms, so still smelled like smoke We stayed two nights and housekeeping never came into our room to give us new towels/replace toilet paper Upset to spend $400 for two nights and have no turn around service We did go the Saturday and Sunday of Sandfest, so I understand increasing the price, but definitely wouldn’t stay here again You live, you learn

Sheri G

Great place to stay in Port A Close to everything, nice, pretty new, and very clean More amenities in the room than I was expecting for the price

This will be my go-to hotel the next time I visit Would totally recommend So about the clean: Things can look clean and aren’t of course, so I ALWAYS do a thorough wipe down of all surfaces, remote, switches etc, with Clorox wipes every hotel room I stay in Usually, I am pretty disgusted by what the wipe looks like when I’m done, but not here I was amazed at how not dirty they were If you don’t normally do this, after you do it a time or 2 somewhere and see what you’ve wiped up, you will always do it But I was very pleased by how clean my room actually was when I arrived The hot breakfast was typical, but extensive Waffle maker, little pre-made omelets, sausage, hashbrowns and of course a variety of muffins, bagels, etc Everything was fresh and hot when I arrived

Carol Warkoczewski

Great roomClean Great, hot breakfast! No fresh fruit, but everything else

Nice outdoor, covered seating areas with grills Nice pool with cabana-like seating areasVery convenient walk to CVS, beach stores, decorative beach buggies across the street I spotted roseated spoonbills in the marsh area next door, with other wading birdsFUN!

I stayed here during a last-minute trip with my children to visit Port Aransas and North Padre Island Overall, my stay was great and if I had to I’d stay again It was a bit far from the areas we wanted to visit, but it wasn’t too bad and we made it work

1 The staff here were all very friendly and accommodating I think this was the best thing about the hotel We had to get up early to go to North Padre Island for the turtle release, and the front desk agent opened breakfast for us early before we left No complaints here2 The grounds were clean, as was the lobby3 Traveling to Port Aransas wasn’t that bad, the length of the trip really depended on the wait for the Ferry Getting to the ferry wasn’t that bad of drive, but one of the days we did have a wait to load the ferry It isn’t a big of a deal enough for me to complain4 My only complaint was the room It was clean, the bedding was fine but it did have a very distinct stale/old smell I went and bought Febreeze Spaces fresheners, and while it helped it didn’t completely cover or rid the smell Our things even smelled like the room once we left Other than that, the room was comfortable for us to sleep in, and even with it being on the first floor we heard minimal noise

Me

We literally only picked this hotel because of the big beautiful swimming pool they use as their man advertising picture We get there and check in and they also “charge to the nearest tenth” so your over charged and have to wait 3-5 days to get the over charged amount back Besides that, literally AS SOON AS I paid for our stay, lady at the desk was like “oh ya by the way our pool is closed because it’s dirty”…

We had an 8 year old little girl who was excited to swim in that big pool they advertised If I would have known the pool was closed BEFORE I paid, we would have went somewhere else with a clean available pool I literally typed in “hotels with best swimming pools” so our stay there was basically pointless So if you are wanting to stay here to enjoy the swimming pool, go somewhere else Because you won’t get that here The room was okay! The shower looks cool but the water pressure is horrible and we also saw old boogers wiped on the shower wall along with little curly black hairs in the wash cloths So bring your own linen The pull out sofa my daughter was supposed to sleep in had tons of debris, crumbs, dirt, and unknown junk all on the mattress and under the mattress The sofa had trash like wrappers and junk under it Obviously they don’t do the necessary deep cleaning that should be done for other clean people to enjoy their stay I kept feeling like something was crawling on me while I was in bed but I couldn’t figure out what it was I had a few bites on me when I woke up this morning I wouldn’t go back and I definitely wouldn’t recommend The staff was nice aside from being told the pool was closed AS SOON AS the money was pulled from my card I felt that was done purposely in a sneaky snake kind of way You need to inform people before they check in and pay Not immediately after It’s shady to do it like that

Alex Orozco

This spot was perfectWe loved the service and the roomPool was a little bit dirty but okay

The AC did not work to it’s fullest but it didn’t heat upSome areas where dirty but over all a very good experienceI RECOMMEND STAYING HERE

I booked a stay on priceline ( non refundable) and when we checked in they didn’t advise the hotel that it was a junior suite The clerk Jocelyn took care of our needs with a smile She’s a wonderful person and her customer service skills are outstanding

Corporate should be happy to have her on staff As usual the property was clean and well kept Every one there was very friendly and helpful They really make you feel at home Just a couple of reasons that we stay there every year The location is perfect for us Close to grocery and department stores so you don’t have to pay tourist prices for everyday essentials A five mile drive puts you at the ferry landing then your off to the sand I’m already looking forward to seeing everyone next year Thank you for the amazing stay

Rosa King

Great Stay! Rooms were clean and spacious for our family of 4 Nice Kitchen Full size fridge fit all of our groceries

HEB is just a couple of blocks away Beds are SUPER comfy Loved all the amenities, especially free use of washers and dryers Nice pool Great quiet location Short drive to ferrie Staff were all nice and friendly We will be back!

Samantha Thompson

The hotel appeared super newly renovated with nice modern art and updated facilities Front desk people were always friendly However the cleanliness of the room was unsatisfactory

First thing I noticed was a brown smudge right in the middle of the white bed spread (pictured) Next the bathroom floor did not appear to be cleaned as there was some caked on brown something stuck on the floor in front of the sink The full length mirror was covered in nasty spots and dishes for the kitchen were in the dishwasher still dirty The thing that was probably the grossest was in the shower, (attached is a picture), the hand held shower head was covered in hair It was like someone half-a**ed the cleaning of the room

The location was great it was a short ferry trip to port Aransas Beach The service was great too But the room was not the best although the beds were clean the sink bowl was cracked and when you wanted cold water it was a little stream of it and If you wanted hot water it came out a lot faster but that is the only problem we had

Overall a good place to stay on vacation or business

Darrian Bertrand

Hotel room was dirty (something sticky all over the desk and hair all over the shower curtain) and the bathroom ventilation was poor (even with the fan on, within a few minutes of the shower being on the whole bathroom was soaking wet and there was moisture behind the large mirror in the room) This was probably why there was a strong musty smell Breakfast is also only a yogurt or a frozen sandwich, which has to be requested at the front desk

Not terrible for a night or two, but I wouldn’t want to stay there any longer

Keith Lewallen

The heater didn’t work in the hotel The first night i spoke to the the gentleman about it and he confirmed it wasn’t working and he tried two other rooms but they didn’t work either The toilet wouldn’t shut off and the water was running the whole time

We had to use the hair dryer to help heat the room where we could sleep We woke up for the free breakfast but it’s not on, contrary to what is reported on the hotel site You are given a breakfast bag with a muffin, a fruit cup and a granola barTerrible customer service and the manager was never there and wouldn’t return any phone calls They never offered a room that had a heater that worked or any compensation NEVER AGAIN!!!!!
