This is most definitely a 5 star hotel! The rooms were spacious and clean The pool, hot tub and sauna were so clean and they even opened early for us! Breakfast is grab and go but they allowed us to use their breakfast room for our group dinners We had a lot of questions and needed some help with a few things, they never batted an eye and helped us with a smile! I will always stay here when I visit Marquette 😁

We checked in by 9pm, with kids needing a good night of sleep Our room had not been cleaned The front desk employee considered this to be her problem, rather insensitive to ours

She swore, got VERY dramatic, and could not problem solve or create a single solution An hour later, as we were trying to settle in to sleep at a different hotel, we got a call from the supervisor (presumably) saying we handled ourselves poorly Terrible customer service I’d choose any other option for a Marquette stay

Travels Alot

If I could rate this hotel a 0 star I would The only nice thing about this hotel was the front desk worker My room was horrible

It was smelly, the shower/tub was dirty and the sink barely drained The AC didn’t get cold at all The hotel itself reminds me of a truck stop dive hotel It looks like they remodeled some of it but it was done very poorly and cheaply

Nice little hotel tucked away from the road! Decided to stay here while I was on my way back to Minnesota Rooms were clean and also smelled clean!! Beds were comfy and so were the pillows! Decent size TV! Had a pretty decent selection for breakfast which was very nice! I guess the only complaint I could mention is the bathroom was extremely small! Other than that it was a great experience overall and I’d recommend it for a good nights rest!

Great hotel with spacious rooms, amazing shower, and a quality breakfast included Courtney at breakfast was great along with the front desk staff including Grant and others Extended stay hotel so you have to request housekeeping but we like it that way

Real kitchen with full fridge and an actual coffee pot Beautiful lobby with common areas for TV to keep you out of the room No pool but a great gym and outdoor recreation Underground heated parking is included so you don’t have to warm up your car or walk on the ice Walking distance to the UPHS Hospital Thanks guys!

The best Hotel of its class I travel for work and this has been the best hospitality I received at a hotel Free hot breakfast with fresh cut fruit daily

Monday thru Wednesday for a Manager Special they provide appetizers and two free drinks per an adult guest Our room was very clean and the hotel is located in a nice area conviently located right next to the new hospital Its also located in the center of everything Marquette has to offer Just a walk from lake superior and beautiful downtown Marquette Not to mention the kindest staff who have went out of their way to accommodate all my needs With a special thanks to Kate I highly recommend this hotel rather it’s for leisure, work, or extended stays

Tiffany Balsitis

We enjoyed a great stay here Upon check in, Grant, the gentleman at the front desk was polite and accommodating We mentioned having teenagers with us and he upgraded our room so they had more space

apparently I had done our reservations incorrectly Our room was clean, well kept, and cozy Breakfast and nightly snacks were an awesome added bonus Our showers came stocked with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash which was a nice perk I forgot my blanket I had brought, upon check out the front desk tried to call me, when I didn’t answer a gentleman actually tracked us down to the parking garage to return it My only complaint was the in room coffee wasn’t good, but I can be picky on that so I don’t hold it against the hotelSince some of our kids live in the area, we will be back!!

Fantastic place to stay The hotel management and staff were excellent at speaking with us and told us about the local waterfalls/history of Marquette They treated us like family

I can’t wait to stay here again and highly recommend others stay here!!! These other reviews stating the hotel was not helpful could not be further from the truth and was not my experience Suggest you give this place a try well worth it

Lindsay Bean

My mom stayed here recently while visiting In the past she has stayed in airbnbs because they are closer to our house We were both pleasantly surprised by the hotel

It was clean, quiet, the room had a coffee maker, microwave, refrigerator etc (coffee makers seem rare these days), and the staff was friendly Will definitely recommend friends and family to stay here in the future

Mark S

My girlfriend checked in here late one night on a road trip we were taking She went in on her own while I parked the car The male front desk host leered at her and made her incredibly uncomfortable, asking “what a girl like you was doing here so late” and “are you alone”

Not how many guests, not how many beds Are you aloneIt took me 5 minutes to park the car! But apparently a woman has to be chaperoned at this location to avoid being harassed It was a very disturbing night for us which we did complain to the morning staff about They said they’d “talk” to him hahaWhat a shameful experience Room was okay though- old, smells, cheap but more expensive than it should be You know how it goes Might be a pass if you’re not male though

This Hotel is a great option if you just need a place to sleep so you can keep going on the road the next day The room was clean (the most important factor for us) and spacious It’s in a great location, close to everything you could need and the price is reasonable, if you compare it to the other hotels in the area

The breakfast was good: cereal, milk, coffee, bagels, muffins, cereal bars, oatmeal, hot chocolate and juices (apple and orange) And they allow pets for a fee It’s a well maintained old fashioned hotel I would stay there again without any doubt Has a microwave in the room, but not a fridge, which was okay for us

This place was the cheapest place we were able to find and was absolutely fine Not fancy, but clean, comfortable, quiet, and safe Also located near laundromat, drug store, restaurants, etc

Also near beaches and other sights we came to seeWe also found plenty of parking and a relatively decent breakfast offering (we’re happy with coffee and oatmeal)

Malcolm Jones

We stayed here on Monday 21 March and used gave our card details to use as a holding deposit We paid for the hotel with cash and we were told money back on card in next few days Several calls later and on each occasion told something different, we still don’t have our money

They said they didn’t take anything but our card statement says they have I have emailed them but they not replying I am now taking my complaint to the Better Business Bureau to see if they can resolve this issue

Can’t complain this has been my go to for several years now as I travel often for work The staff is always friendly and the rooms are always clean and well taken care of They recently went through a remodel so everything is fresh

I would say overall this is a great place to stay The only thing I would say may be a factor is several business travelers stay on site rather then kids and families The pool area is nice and large and clean The restaurant is great excellent staff and really good food

Jennifer Daley

Room was beautiful, bed was heaven after such a long driving dayI took one star only because the food was soaked in salt, my chicken wrap was excellent the fries were drenched in a salt seasonings which made them inedible, burger was cooked perfect but no seasonings on it at all again fries were drenched in salt seasonings, they need to ease up on the salt and add some seasonings to the burgersThe fact they brought the food to the room was AWESOME!WILL stay again!!

Donovan Awhonopay

This hotel is very well maintained Rooms were clean As an Envoy pilot I stay at alot of different hotels

Just passing through and needed a room for the night Would I stay here again? Yes I would! It’s on m41 beside a quiet neighborhood Light traffic noise, but on a Saturday night was not distracting for this light sleeper

The place is dated but very comfortable if your not looking for a fancy place I preferred this place over a few chain hotel/motels I’ve stayed at paying a higher price In room coffee a plus! Clean towels and bedding, zero foul odors Windows you could actually open Wi-Fi, cable TV w/wall mounted flat screen, microwave, refrigerator A real table with 2 chairs to sit at for eating a meal Easy access plugs by beds for changing your electronic devices Management friendly

An important note: you cannot lock your door Your things, and your person, will be vulnerable when you stay hereA warning for anyone with mobility issues, this place is not accessible in any way

If you need accomodations, seek elsewhere Anyone should be careful of dangerous loose rugs throughout the homeThe owner spent time trying to convince us that our planned sightseeing was “not worth doing” and that we should do other things in Marquette instead of seeing the area we traveled North to explore She also told us the cities we wanted to visit had “nothing in them”, we were treated badly when we brought back takeout instead of eating out in a restaurant, and I was bullied by her to take off my mask insideOverall very much not worth the price given all the aspects that made this place uncomfortable OH and she plays the piano 20 minutes before breakfast to make sure you are awake Rude and infantilizing

JonPaul Widby

Ornate environment, rustic and clean Full run of facilities and conveniently located between the city and the airport Daphne serves up an artful multi course breakfast

I would stay here again I have not been to many b and b ‘ s but I have traveled globally and stayed in countless pensions and hostels None come close to this level of care and attention to detail

Overall nice place for an extended stay hotel The room is large and spacious with a full fridge and cooking area I travel often for work and usually stay at the Holiday Inn but this was a nice change

My only criticism is this has more of an apartment building feel to it with it being an extended stay The hotel is situated through another parking lot which is not hard to get to and kinda nice as it’s more secluded then most Overall the staff is extremely friendly and they ensure you have a good stay If they had a bar and pool on site it would be perfect!

Melissa Christensen

Decent hotel with clean rooms and comfortable beds The people above us sounded like they were wrestling with elephants until late into the evening but that’s not the hotel’s fault When I checked in, the person at the desk asked me if I wanted the 1st, 2nd, or 4th floor which has never happened to me before but I thought it was nice

I said I’d like the 1st floor as I figured it would be less work to not have to use the elevator but next time I’ll always choose the top floor to avoid listening to people who don’t know how to walk without sounding like they are about to come through the ceiling and land on you Lesson learnedStaff was very friendly and the price was good I would stay here again Nothing dance but we were just passing through so we didn’t need fancy

We came up to Marquette for a wedding and started calling around to find hotels that were avaliable After calling two other hotels that were full we located my place hotel and they had rooms avaliable While on the phone we were patched through to a woman who barely spoke English

She was abrupt but not really rude, as of yet Upon advising her that the $250 a room was ok she said that she just had to add up the fees and taxes When she added it up it was almost $400 When asked why it was so expensive she could not, or would not answer the question she just said fees From what a could gather from her, they charged us approximately $130 for “cleaning fees” I asked her if there was anyway she could discount the room This is about the time she raised her voice on the phone and just repeating that I needed to say “yes” to these fees After a short time going back and forth over price, I finally broke down and decided to pay the $400 because we needed the room She was again very abrupt and quite honestly I was ready to get off the phoneOnce arriving the hotel staff that was very nice were having computer issues which caused us to have to wait for an extended period of time in the lobbyOnce getting to the room it first appeared to be a decent hotel Until going into the bathroom where there was toilet paper and a couple wrappers in the trash We also noticed a bar of soap already unwrapped It also appeared the soap was already used So we threw that away immediately in the trash with the toilet paper that was wodded up in there alreadyLastly throughout the night there were several drones and other noises that made it difficult to sleep even though it was about two in the morningUltimately, I will never stay in a My Place hotel again This the most I have ever spent on a room for just a single night and it is by far one of the worst ones I have ever been in

If you get a second floor room be aware there is no elevator so only stairs and some are steep but good railings The staff very kind and friendly and available to assist There is twenty four hour available coffee and tea in lobby which is nice

The place very old somewhat run down If you really like affordability it’s a good choice but nothing really spectacular about the place could use some updating and a few more amenities The pool room is very small

DANICA and JODI are the best, very great employees I stayed the first weekend in June, Was so happy and pleased with my stay for my birthday, they were so pleasant even with my wild 3 year old Possibly moving in the area so this has been such a great place to stay well I’m up there researching

Very well runned establishment, couldn’t say enough, good things Will definitely be coming back soon🙏🙂

Melissa Juntunen

Had a 2 queen room, 1 bed was a lot more comfortable (softer) than the other Fridge, microwave in room, large TV Could hear some noise from the hall but minimal

Bathroom was pretty small but it was clean Front desk staff was very helpful and nice They also offered me a reduced stay price due to a family member being in the hospital here Breakfast was traditional continental hotel food, the breakfast attendants kept everything filled Stayed here after the rain/ice storm and they did not salt the sidewalks or sand them Main parking lot is concave so very icy and also not salted or sanded, very difficult to walk around Also, no guest laundry facilities but room was clean and so was the breakfast area I did not check out the pool
