We booked a room because hubby had outpatient surgery scheduled the day after a big ice storm was forecast in the area The staff could not have been kinder or more accommodating! They allowed us to check in early, gave us tips for near-by dining and generally made us feel welcomed Room was sparkling clean

We had a small microwave and fridge, a wonderfully comfy bed and a good-sized TV Breakfast is included–it’s not gonna blow your socks off, but there are hot and cold options, a decent variety and more-than-decent coffee This property met our needs and staff truly went above and beyond

Dennis Keibler

Very pleasant staff got is into a room early The hotel is clean and modern, though the toilet seat flimsy The shower head is very high, which is great for guests who are at least 6 ft tall; too tall for shorter people

Fast food is located a few blocks away and not too far from the interstate If in the area, I will stay there again

versella love

The staff where very friendly and professional The rooms were clean and the housekeeping staff was amazing The Hotel was clean PERIOD

Just very sweet workers all around! The breakfast was also Greatit was easy to connect to Wifi, parking was always available and you have easy access to local stores and highwaysThe only thing is that the elevators and hallways where extremely hot

I don’t have many complaints about my stay or service my room was clean upon arrival my towels fresh plenty of parking and I liked the breakfast I did find that my pull out bed was broken and there were no extra blankets for it and room service tried to rush me to check out she was very rude kept coming back 2 hours before checkout She never cleaned my room during my stay but wanted to rush me out The other things I think need improvement are the carpets in the halls and the pool

I chose not to use it because it’s small and looked cloudy An update is definitely needed there but everything else was great The staff was amazing for the most part and nothing happened to my car in the lot

K W

The hotel has definitely seen better days My pillows were so flat they felt as though they had been used a million times ! The breakfast while plentiful was not tasty Something was just not right from the bacon, to the made to order omelettes, and even the oatmeal and this was expressed by everyone in my group

Much different taste than other Embassy suites I’ve visited The staff and everyone was nice but hotel needs a bit more renovations and updating Indoor pool is small and stayed crowded so I did not use

Brittany Kennedy

This is my 2nd time starting at this particular location It’s always clean and the staff has always had great customer service The manager went out of his way to help with our booking

And don’t let me forget the breakfast It was amazing once again We have not been disappointed yet I recommend the stay and we will definitely be staying again in the future

From the easy and quick check in, to their standard 12pm check out time, Moxy was amazing! The first floor has everything you’d need, games, a fireplace, a gorgeous bar with fantastic drinks, and cute little taco place attached!! There’s also a clean fitness area, and a little snack/drink shop The entire hotel was clean, and felt fresh! The room was cozy, it had a great view, and walk in shower The staff were all friendly as well! 10/10 would stay here next time I’m in town!

Taylor Wisler

For me the place is 5 stars, but it comes with a couple asterisks Do you like the idea of having the check in desk being at the middle of a bar? Do you like the idea of bare concrete ceilings and funky decor (think a picture of two guys in horse masks playing ukuleles)? Do you like the restaurant option being a place called “Zombie Taco?” Do you like the idea of the elevators having walls that are chalkboards to draw on? If so, you’re going to love this place If you want a more “traditional” hotel experience this place will feel too wild for you

All that being said, it’s not like this place is odd enough to be uncomfortable, it’s just that they’re trying to be creative and unique The location is good, the rooms were comfortable and quiet (concrete floors and ceilings are not the best aesthetically in my opinion, but they do provide good sound insulation) and the service was friendly Honestly a great place, assuming you’re ok with the funky kind of atmosphere they’re going for

Brandt Callahan

The Moxy will be our Go-to whenever we stay in Louisville The staff is incredible and so kind Justin, the bartender, is cool

The vibe here is simply awesome Had we not just had dinner, we would have eaten at the zombie taco kitchen they have Heard their food is really good We will give that a try on our next visit And another plus is that it is walking distance to all things downtown

We were in Louisville for a weekend of volleyball tournaments We worked with Tabitha for our room block The hotel was clean and fresh and either newer or recently remodeled

Staff was friendly and helpful The only issue we had was a faulty TV, and no one to fix it right away, but they compensated for that issue very nicely Tabitha was great to work with on the room block She was very friendly, and quick to answer in getting things in order for our stay Will definitely stay again!!

Blake Evert

My original review is below, which was a 3star, the response from the hotel also below Too bad they don’t really care After a call to the hotel with a promise to call back 11 days ago, and an email to Hilton with a 3 day call back promised, 4days ago, I still have no resolution

I guess I’m not expecting anything anymore But I did expect more from Hilton Orig post:The hotel was very clean and neat It is a bit tricky to find but not too bad Google is just a bit mixed up in parts of the roads But bring ear plugs as the Interstate noise is loud We also were placed in a room beneath a loud family who came home at midnight with their playful pet and 90 minutes of loud stomping around the room before things finally settled down But the desk person said “sorry “, so I guess it’s either not a big deal or it happens often Even though there are multiple signs on every floor touting their quiet restful nights and if you’re not completely satisfied they would take care of your stay

Kristin Grimpe

I’ve traveled and stayed with Hiltons 10-12 times a year for at least 8 years The hotel itself was fine–good location, nice breakfast–but for the first time ever, I left something behind and housekeeping threw it away No reaching out to get it back to me, no attempt at good customer service

They threw a child’s stuffed animal away without a thought I have left everything from clothes to a tablet behind, and I have never had hotel staff simply throw the things away Basic customer service is a must in the hospitality industry, and this location failed miserably at it

My wife and I stayed for 1 night as we were traveling through the area Simply put, everything was excellent! The cleanliness of the room, the decor, the accommodations, the staff, everything! The outside and inside of this establishment is incredible! The space is so warm and homely and inviting If you can’t relax here and enjoy yourself then you can’t anywhere! Whether you are looking for something romantic or just a place to relax, this is the place! I can’t wait to come back!

Beautiful restoration, meticulous historic woodwork, interior exposed brick walls, amazing staircase — all presided over by Steve after rescuing the house when it burned 20+ years ago Fabulous bathrooms, comfortable beds, good breakfasts Loved the leek souffle and the Norwegian breakfast pudding! Charming hospitality

Great location within blocks of parks, restaurant and shops

Update: The Omni Hotel is a beautiful experience This ability to be able to go to the Market, two restaurant’s, and a beautiful restaurant are great This place is not for those who want too get a hotel room and stay in, I would not recommend it

The room is a little underwhelming, with no microwave available in the deluxe room, a bourbon bar that is not accessible and only two towels unless more are requested This is not to say that the Facility is not worth a visit though If you are able and willing to spend more, you will get more The market has beautifully crafted breakfasts, a small coffee shop, and a place to purchase essentials The library is a good place to relax and work, and both restaurants, while a little on the pricey side, are absolutely amazing The atmosphere is also a beautiful thing to be apart of You are treated very well by all staff members all the way from the valet to the bar tender within the library I would definitely recommend this place for those seeking a wonderful experience I would not however recommend this place to those who are looking for a getaway on a budget It is in no way budget friendly

Daniel Cloyd

Make sure to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙᴏʟʟʏᴄᴏm when booking your room They compare countless booking web sites and typically will have prices much cheaper compared to others! Thank me later! This place is one of the highest rated in this area

I have been staying here for a long time If you choose this place you for sure won’t be disappointedThis was was one of best hotels I stayed in It was very clean and the staff was 5 star From the time we pulled in for valet parking, to the front desk, to the bar was excellent We wanted to visit the adult beverage store but it was closed, The gentleman in the customer service area that worked the cash register close to Heine Brothers opened up for us just to see what you had Top notch customer service from the entire staff! Most definitely one of my top pick hotels in Louisville

Alex Tigges

Super busy the night that we stayed Most of the staff were super friendly The room was very nice, only the 7th floor, but the view is pretty good

Coffee shop was awesome Pin + proof was cool, went twice the first time was quiet but received great service, The second time was excessively loud and didn’t stay Reason for reduction of one star was standing at the bar, at the Library, and kept getting skipped over for service Stood for 20 minutes then walked away

Service has been better this stay! Our room has been cleaned and tidied up too Rooms are recently renovated with more modern decor Food options are limited and the walkway snack shop closes way too early which forces everyone to use the bar which isn’t feasible for everyone especially teens

Meeting spaces were well kept and easy to use for the most part but the rooms were either ice cold or hot Which it was summer but… over much more pleased this time around Glad they fixed issues of last year

Amy Davis

Very friendly staff, easy check in, rooms was clean and comfortable Access to the Yum Center was great Valet service was fast and friendly

Close to “whiskey row”Cons:In room safe on the top shelf of bedroom closet, terrible access for a short person (I’m 5’2” and had trouble)Room service is non-existent Ordering take-out from restaurant in the hotel wasn’t an option either, they wouldn’t even answer the phoneAll in all a pleasant experience We’d stay here again

Debbie Payne

The newly remodeled room was VERY nice Comfortable, spacious bathroom, but NO MICROWAVE Sitting area was very nice, large sofa, desk and work area

Needs a more easily accessible charging station for electronic devices Check-in lines were 30 people deep More stations should have been opened Lines did move fairly quickly and personal were efficient and personable Each employee I asked for help was helpful and friendlyWe ate lunch in Walkers Exchange I ordered a Caesar Salad for $9 I got a plate of chopped Romaine lettuce with a little cheese sprinkled on top Very disappointing and way overpriced The fried green tomatoes were excellent chicken and dumplings was lunch special Dumplings were pretty good, but no chicken and the “sauce/gravy/gruel” seemed to be only cream of chicken soup Really? If I’m paying chef meal prices, I expect above average dishes We did not get them

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel We asked for and were assigned a ground floor room As we entered the room we noticed it was ample in size, clean, cool and bright

The plushy bed was a welcome sight for a tired traveler, and provided the needed comfort Fitness center was clean and furnished with solid high-end equipment There was a good variety of breakfast items, which were plentiful and inviting Staff was friendly and helpful Will definitely return Getting to the location takes some getting used to, but the stay is worth the time

Alison Elsworth

The hotel itself is like any other in features and what it offers However, the staff sets this place apart Each person I encountered went above and beyond in her quality of service

They worked hard to keep the food restocked, provide extra towels and bathroom items, and handle a fire alarm and noisy adults at late hours I appreciate the friendliness and effort of the ladies working here Keep up the good work!We would stay here again when we come back for basketball next year, and we enjoyed that the hotel was close to stores and restaurants

Cathy Jackson

Nice, clean rooms with fridge and microwave Friendly staff The weekend we were there a high school baseball team was staying there

In the morning they were all eating breakfast Teenage boys can eat I was super impressed with the employee responsible for keeping the food stocked and fresh Didn’t get her name but she was great and efficient

This place exceeded my expectations! Very nice location Very clean throughout Bed and pillows were very comfortable

Breakfast was great with a lot of options They do not have a pool anymore so I wish they would remove the photos but overall this is a great place to stay! We will definitely stay again in the future! Highly recommend!!!

Joshua Brown

The staff was very friendly! The rooms were super clean!! It’s right by a Mexican restaurant, a golden corral, and a Bob Evans Oh and Stake and shake and a Dollar tree is right across the street! I stayed 5 nights there, not 1 bad experience My only complaint is if there’s smokers smoking outside the room, then it affects the inner air quality, so double check your ac for buildup!

Jessica Ness

After checking in and going to our room, our door was open and the bathroom & sink area didn’t look like it was clean They did send someone over right away to clean it, but still not the way we wanted to start our stayThe breakfast was terrible

Whoever made the hot food did a good job, but everything else was a disaster No spoons, no napkins, 1 yogurt cup, a few cereal options, empty containers and the drink dispenser wasn’t turned on It was like they forgot to restock everythingThe lady working the front desk was also all over the place on her phone Overall terrible experience

A great family friendly hotel! My family stayed here one night as we traveled out west It is a very nice place to stay and is situated in a great area full of dining options Comfortable and updated rooms

One of the amenities of the hotel was unavailable the evening we stayed But Cyrus, the general manager, went well above and beyond to take care of things and we were extremely impressed by his and the team’s commitment to customer service even though the issue was well beyond their controlWe had to make an early departure, but we were able to grab some of the excellent breakfast for the road As we tried to get plates for our kids, Miss Joyce took amazing care of us and even helped us plate up some food and put saran wrap over them to make them ready for the road She took great pride in the breakfast service, and this care she showed our family was truly appreciatedCyrus and his team run a great hotel! Would definitely stay there again if we find ourselves driving through the area

Caitlin Meadors

Holiday Inn is always our choice when traveling We’ve never had a bad experience However none of our prior stays, nor future will come close to this

The entire staff was warm and welcoming Miss Joyce takes the cake though I have a baby and a seven year old My Husband was helping the 7yo with breakfast while I was managing the baby and getting my own food Miss Joyce swooped in and helped make my plate, carried it to the table and got us all situated She is a fantastic employee and all around person The rooms were clean, food was hot, and we had a great experience, so much so my 7yo asked to stay another night! All locations should arrive to be as wonderful Miss Joyce could definitely teach them all a thing or two

Stayed here for my birthday in July and loved every minute of it! The restaurant was great, had great food, had great drinks and amazing service! We went to the bar in the hotel every night whether it was the first place or the last just because the bartenders were so great The concierge and front desk were super helpful whenever we had questions or concerns I definitely look forward to booking another autograph collection stay in the future!

Jessa 4Peace

This hotel is in a great location! Many downtown sights are within walking distance As of this writing, its a fairly new hotel and you can tell The decor and general up keep of the hotel reflects its ‘newness ‘

I am giving it 4 stars because the rooms are a touch small and are missing some basic comfort elements For example, there are no towel hooks/bars to hang wet towels; there was no place to hang a hand towel by the sink etc That said, they did provide cotton balls and q-tips Despite these small things, I would definitely stay again

Makayla Culbertson

While the room was nice and the hotel was in a good location, the staff here were awful We had checked in at 6:30 and were only staying the night, and was informed by the front desk associate we could do late check out (which was at 4pm) if we paid a $100 fee Since I was at a conference and my partner was remote working, we were happy to pay the extra money to check out later

But that morning, my partner went to verify that they would just charge the card on file, and a new associate told us the latest we could check out was 12:30 Since my name is on the reservation, I called to try to get it sorted, and was called misinformed and placed on hold, only to be given an additional 30 minutes She explained that there were too many elite status members arriving early and checking out late that it wouldn’t be possible I let her know that I’m also an elite status member and had been told I could check out at 4, but she completely walked that back I would never stay here again

My girlfriends and I hosted a bridal shower at Pepin Mansion this past weekend (the booking was not under my name although I co-hosted) We had a bittersweet experience The venue is lovely, the shower went well, and we received exceptional care from Sharon and Denise

However, Janna was extremely unprofessional and rude on the day of the shower We let them know during our site visit weeks prior that we would be there between 10 – 10:30am to set up for the shower that began at noon We were told that was fine and wouldn’t be a problem We were also told that tables would be in place when we arrived and they were not, the room was full of chairs only We quickly began grabbing tables and setting up since we needed tables, chairs, linens, plates, etc to be put in place for a group of 20-25 guests Janna was nowhere to be found but called another employee to speak with me and informed me over the phone that we had to wait until 11 to set up or we would be charged an extra $150 I found this extremely ridiculous considering we had already paid over $500 for the room alone, the tables weren’t in place as we were promised and instead of complaining or making an issue out of it, we simply began setting up ourselves Janna should have been apologizing for the tables not being in place but instead was rude on the phone and threatening to charge us more money One hour to completely set up a room for a shower of 20-25 guests is not enough time and is a ridiculous expectation I would HIGHLY recommend whoever is in charge of Pepin Mansion to ensure that their staff are all aware of rules and procedures, event coordinators should be present for their events, and staff members need to do A LOT better at communicating with one another Throughout my two visits at Pepin Mansion in the last month, it seems none of the staff truly know what’s going on at any given time and there is a major lacking in communication

We own a resort in MN and we spend a fair amount of every year travelling We are always looking for a unique place to stay We find this helps us connect with different areas of the country

By pure luck, we found this jewel on the banks of the Ohio River in New Albany, IN Trust me, this is a wonderful Bed and Breakfast Why? First, your hosts Brian and Mary are THE BEST Knowledgeable, friendly, accommodating, and very competent, they are simply great Second, the mansion is super It has been meticulously restored and scrupulously maintained The breakfast was excellent, way above the norm The rooms are comfortable and authentic, they even have some modern amenities If you want to step back in time and have a wonderful experience We HIGHLY recommend the Pepin Mansion in New Albany

A wonderful B&B, and a wonderful experience! The staff was charming and very attentive The breakfast was amazing as well! When I first booked the night, I had made a mistake, and booked for the wrong day, however the staff was kind and understanding on the phone and changed my booking easily If you do plan on having breakfast, please make the staff aware of any allergies in advance

He is willing to make those changes, but they cook the 3 course meal in advance and he got quite grumpy when another guest announced his dairy allergy just after the food was placed on the table before him Another thing to be aware of (although there’s no helping it, and it didn’t bother us) there are quite a bit of stairs in the house, just like all old houses Everything was neat, clean and well taken care of, but you should be aware that stairs come with the charm of the house Room 3, where we stayed, had a staircase of 5 or 6 steps separating the room from the bathroom Since the house is beautiful and old, each bathroom has to be added after the house was built and repurposed as a B&B, but that is one thing I would have liked to know before going I loved the house and the experience, but I probably would have asked for a different room It was never any problem, but being pregnant, it made me a little nervous when I got up late at night

Seelbach Hotel was a beautiful hotel with great history in a great spot in Louisville within a 10 minute drive of everything you want to see in the city except Churchill Downs which is a few minutes further While it was nice, there were a few things that will prevent me from returning and staying there again1) Parking is not free

Not a huge deal, but for the price you pay, parking should be included for guests2) Lack of house maid service I don’t need my room cleaned everyday but I stayed there 4 nights and never received it Heck, they could have at least emptied my trash cans and checked toiletries at the minimum Even on a day where I request maid service early and they said they would have them stop by, I did not get it3) Shower was gross and did not drain4) No Water in the rooms They have a cooler by the front desk and they charge you for them, but what is funny is you can ask them for water and they will give you some for free So when I grabbed a water, why didn’t you let me know as a guest in your hotel that they have free waters for guests?I was just disappointed in the service I got for the price I paid

The building is beautiful, and old but well maintained and allergy friendly The bathroom in our room was tiny, but functional We told the front desk about my feather allergy and they made sure the room was cleaned, aired out, and the filter for the AC unit was swapped before our stay

While we were there it was difficult to get the attention of the front staff sometimes The phone key system needs to be more fluid It’s cool, and means you don’t have to have a physical key from the hotel, but it is just not there yet The physical key we had was much easier to use during our stayI would stay at this hotel again if I was in the area

I stayed 4 nights during a National Volleyball Tournament (4/7/22 – 4/11/22) The room was spacious and well maintained for being an older hotel Everyone on staff was very polite and accommodating, and made sure everything was going well during the entire stay

Housekeeping also did an excellent job freshening up the room on a daily basisSaturday night, we did a “history of the hotel” tour with hotel security supervisor, Patrick He brought us to many “behind the scenes” areas and rooms of the hotel The Rathskeller room in the basement was one of the coolest rooms I’ve ever seen, and the stories of all the historical key players that have ties to it were amazing Never saw the ghosts who are claimed to haunt the hotel, but I was always looking! Very intriguing!Old Seelbach Bar was fantastic! Every kind of bourbon you could think of! It was an awesome ambience and service was excellent Several parents from our team came downtown to hang out and I brought them to the Old Seelbach Bar between venues were were visiting Their experience in the bar and the front lobby was enough to get their interest to stay there in the futureSpecial THANK YOU to: Alicia, Camrann & Patrick from hotel staff and Virginia & David from bell/valet service for being so kind and making my experience the best it could be! I will be back!
