Weird layout to the rooms We liked the sitting area but not impressed that there isn’t a sink outside the bathroom Plumbing is INSANELY LOUD! Woke up this morning to what literally sounded like a person repeatedly smashing on our wall with a large hammer

It was from the pipes due to the people upstairs taking a shower Crazy insane loud! NOT a good way to start your day Toilet doesn’t flush properly, we need to take the lid off the tank and mess with the plunger Lock on bathroom door doesn’t work Pool area is VERY small The place is quite clean though and a very well stocked hot breakfast (coffee was very good too) Staff was very friendly and helpful

NehNette Swanson

I can’t say enough good things about this hotel!!! From the moment we walked in, when we received a fabulous welcome from the desk attendant, to the time we left, with more kind words from ANOTHER desk attendant, we were so pleased with this hotel The room was beautiful, clean, nicely appointed, and comfortable I noticed others comment on noise–that was not our experience even though the hotel was fairly full with lots of children running around

The complimentary breakfast the next morning was tasty and nicely laid out, and the lounging area was great Our only disappointment was the rain that started to fall just as we walked out to enjoy the outdoor firepit Not their fault! LOL! A great stay at a nice hotel with terrific staff Two thumbs-up!!!

Veronica Phoenix

The front desk staff was friendly and helpful However, we asked for a quiet room away from the highway, which we did get, but they put us directly above the firepit area which was supposed to close at 10 or 11pm There was a sports team out at the firepit ALL night

We called the front desk multiple times starting at 12am to no avail It was 6/7am before the party broke up – loud music, loud talking We paid to get sleep and got no sleep

Very nice decor All areas are super clean Great views of the city

Comfortable beds and sofa in the room Most importantly the staff are very friendly kind caring people They must have an excellent working culture I know all of this because I just spent 7 nights there while my spouse underwent TX at Spectrum Hospital Hooray for Grand Rapids

Matt Roosien

My wife and I visited this hotel for one night The check-in was pretty smooth and easy The room was clean but they gave us a handicap accessible room without notice

The shower was not ideal and was difficult to shower due to a lower shower head for a tall guy like me There was a limited amount of soap so we had to use the same soap in the shower as the sink, not a huge issue but difficult to use one small bar of soap in two locations If you like a soft bed, it was pretty good but I did not sleep much due to the softness of the bed and the uncomfortable pillows The AC unit did not offer much control and would kick on periodically throughout the night with a loud noise that kept waking me up The staff was nice overall but during breakfast, one lady just sort of pushed us out of the way to add more food to the pan without waiting or asking us to move Was pretty rude in our opinion The breakfast was not great, eggs were cold and waffles were hard Overall, location is good for downtown but probably would not come back Pool was very small so we did not use it

Shane O’Byrne

I’m usually not someone who leaves reviews but the staff at this Hyatt deserve some love I had an early morning flight that I slept through, when I tried to reschedule I was disappointed to see they did not have any open seats for flights the same dayI called the front desk in a bit of a panic asking if I could extend my stay, and they were happy to help me out

At about 1pm that day an airline reached out to me to let me know a seat opened up for later that night I called back down to the front desk and I was able to cancel my extended stay without being charged I was past the normal checkout hour but the staff took care of me Good peopleThe hotel itself is in a good location and clean I will for sure be staying at this hotel on return trips to Grand Rapids

Samm Chauvin

My room was as expected, clean and comfortable However, the purpose of leaving this review is to shout out the absolutely amazing front desk staff My service at check in was great, but Gil and Melissa went above and beyond for me

I needed assistance at almost midnight with printing documents and they did not hesitate to help me with my odd request Was much appreciated!!! Thanks guys 🙂

Darren Walezak

Great views on the riverside and the room was very nice The front desk team was very accommodating Nothing to complain about but if there are certain amenities you want to use the day you check in confirm in advance if they’re working

Staff was light so they had to have shorter hours so I couldn’t use some Not a deal breaker for me but I can see how for some it could frustrate

Melissa Bedell

My boyfriend and I stayed here to attend an event at Devos and it was nice to be able to walk inside to get there and not need to bring jackets or drive/park The Lumber Baron Bar on the first floor is one of our GR favorites, even though this was our first time staying in the hotel we come often for the great drink menu and atmosphere The front desk staff was kind and welcoming and got us checked in right away

We parked in the parking structure, which turns out was free and that was a nice surprise It was disappointing that our shower was not clean, (there was a bunch of hair on the walls!?) otherwise the room was fine The bed was very comfy and we were given the option for a room on a higher floor which had a partial view of the river If we had stayed more than one night, not having a fridge would have been a bummer, but we were just there for the event and didn’t want to drive after so that wasn’t a big deal this time I would stay again for the convenience for sure

You never know what you’re gonna get with hotels but this one did not disappoint! I selected this hotel after reading the reviews and I’m glad I did Great location The staff from the front desk to maintenance were so kind

The complimentary beverage station and cookies were clean and well stocked The breakfast was great Tons of selections for everyone The most important thing was this hotel was clean clean clean!!! The cleanest hotel I’ve ever stayed in The rooms were spotless Smelled clean The beds were comfortable The only “complaint” would be the event room by the pool was rented out and they are allowed to use the pool even though they aren’t registered guests Not trying to be a “Karen” but with 30+ people coming in and out and the pool not being overly large, it was chaotic My kids decided to leave after a little bit The arcade was a rip off but my kids were excited to see one there Would stay here again in a heartbeat!!

Melissa Mack

This was such a pleasant hotel The staff was friendly at every point throughout The breakfast was unexpectedly diverse with food choices and there was lots of seating around the breakfast area

The rooms were very clean and updated The pool was warm and the hot tub was also well cared for Staff quickly brought more towels when needed and there was plenty of seating around the pool We will definitely come back again!! Keep up the amazing work and kudos to your staff!

Derek Saynor

Very clean and well appointed hotel Good complimentary buffet breakfast with nice range of hot and cold selections Excellent indoor pool with hot tub as well as a well equipped fitness room with cardio and strength training machines available along with a good business center room

Only reason for the demerit is there was no housekeeping in my room after the first night of a 2 night stay

Great hotel and staff This location is within walking distance of everything downtown GR The free filtered water is something I have never seen in a hotel, which was greatly appreciated

The rooftop bar is super nice, but you must make a reservation since it is so popular Overall a great value for the level of comfort Beds are decent, but I have a Tempurpedic bed so nothing ever compares

Amber Lee

The room and the view were absolutely gorgeous The food was phenomenal from the Knoop to the breakfast crew, honestly, the entire staff was warm and welcoming, they all seemed to love their job! Walking to the downtown market and hanging out in the studio Park was convenient not having to leave the hotel was the best part

I really enjoyed the movie theater as well I could go on and on, but I think you get the picture! Hands down, we will be back!

Robbi Montgomery

I was sent to this hotel for a work training The accommodations were so nice The hotel is nearly brand new, it’s got a great vibe and all the staff are so helpful and friendly

Misty Lynn

This hotel is amazing! The GM of the hotel checked us in The process was quick and efficient, and he was super friendly and accommodating to our requestsThe Hotel staff were friendly and always greeted with a smile and a “hello”

Breakfast was good, including sausage, eggs, waffles, and I had no complaints from the kids! There was one gentleman particularly who was very helpful in the breakfast room, and had a conversation with my sonvery pleasant! He even helped him get syrup for his waffles! The room was clean and included a note from the housekeeper welcoming us Our beds were comfortable, and the room was spacious with a nice TV Access to the highway was very easy, and there were many options for dining nearbyAlthough we left our fur family at home, it is also nice to know we could have brought them with us as the hotel is pet friendly We will do so next time!Overall, if I could give this hotel a rating it would be a 10+ No complaints at all, just a relaxing few days away from home with my family with awesome accommodations! Highly recommended! We will be back!

Nicole Davis

Can’t say enough nice things about this place! We were running late and I called to be sure they wouldn’t think we were a no show on our reservation The gentleman who answered (I believe his name was Tim) made note of it, wished us safe travels and said he’d see us soon We arrived close to 1:00 a

m without stopping for dinner They had microwave meals and sodas available at the front desk, which were just what we needed at that moment Tim made sure we had utensils and napkins, asked if we actually had a pet in our pet friendly room and told us where the best spot to take our dog out was Our room was clean, pretty, quiet and comfy, with down pillows on the bed and great water pressure in the shower Our only regret was having to leave at 6:00 am (the one time in my life I was checked in and out by the same person) He wished us safe travels and made sure we had hot coffee…we were too early for breakfast We will definitely stay again and highly recommend

X Xxx

Great customer service, great looking room and very clean Only thing is the curtains don’t shut completely for privacy at our window and the heat took long to warm the room up The window not being able to close with the curtain made the room even harder to warm up because of the cold air outside coming in, which the bed was located right next to the window

Other than those things it was clean, quiet, respectful staff and very friendly and everything we needed was all already in the room Although, hot breakfast would’ve been great

Not a fun, the restaurant and lounge was good The rest needs mayor work Front desk staff at check in were rude and dismissive

Left waiting at airport because shuttle has a different hotel logo on it and Noone thought it was a good idea to mention thatAudio service in halls were very problematic throughout the convention Internet service kept dropping off or was completely goneBusiness center was out of order since we arrived of Wednesday even though it was part of our contractNo maid service, You need to get towels every day so you can wash up When will hotels start doing their full jobs again? If not, lower your prices

Chip Huffman

Of the 4 hotels we stayed at during our trip, this hotel ranks at the bottom and well below any of the others!! Front Desk employees while efficient, were far from customer friendly The restaurant is overpriced and mediocre at best The room was ok, but not special

The lack of bags in the trash cans was disturbing Luckily, we had several plastic grocery bags in the car to overcome this shortcoming In short, customer service does not seem to be a priority at this hotel

Olita Martin

My daughter was getting married and picked this hotel to house her guest in for that weekend Upon arriving I was greeted when it was time for me to pay it was a disaster It was a error on the merchant end

I’ve never felt so embarrassed before, I also had to call my bank I’ve never had to do that before Make a long story short I would never stay at Hilton establishment again I missed wedding rehearsal everything went bad after the check in went left my blood pressure was up I’m very upset about my check in experience I never received apology or anything My room was terrible I just didn’t want to report it cause I was so upset

Very nice rooms, comfortable and clean! They even offered the option to cast on their TV so we could use one of our streaming service to watch a movie! The only reason I am giving 4 stars is because of the breakfast area and breakfast staff I have stayed here twice and both times the breakfast area has been under stocked and the breakfast staff has been less than willing to restock With that being said I would still highly recommend this hotel! All other service has been great!

Micos HairSalon

Nice clean room, clean pool, pic a little misleading as thought there was a hot tub Beds were really nice and comfy until I was woken up by heavy footsteps, not sure if they were just from the hallways or above us but my husband and kids heard the same too Hot breakfast always a plus in the mornings but the scrambled eggs were a little salty

I think if I stayed here again I’d stay on the 4th floor to avoid anyones thunderous stomping

T Sommer

I did not even check inn On 6/16/22 I went to get a room because the app was not working The guy told me they were booked, then they weren’t

All this is fine but the constant sighing and attitude made me just walk out and not pay the $150 for the room Ii went to the Holiday Inn and Suites right up the road where they know customer service Whomever the front desk clerk was, should look for a job he might be better at Your job is to literally help people, not get an attidude when everything does not go right Way to high of a price to have people like that working there

We had a very nice stay here The breakfast was supurb The rooms were clean and the staff was friendly

I will say our check-in was delayed for 2 hours due to staffing issues Might I suggest calling people if their check in will be later than it is posted online? Or at the very least offer some sort of benefit I know it’s tough for staffing everywhere, so still a 5 star stay

Michelle Whisler

We were overcharged each of the 3 nights we stayed at the hotel Every night a new transaction hit our bank account, even after they took all the money for the hotel stay upfront Ended up ruining our son’s birthday

We were told they would comp us 2 nights and never did Our TV and alarm clock didn’t work and there wasn’t a remote for one of the other TVs, so could only use 1 of the 3 TVs in our room The GM and most workers were rude The lady cleaning the tables for breakfast decided to spray the table my husband was sitting at and got the spray in his food The breakfast was a joke and most of the food was burnt or dried out after being out for so long Would never recommend staying there They made our family vacation the worst ever

Alan Gradolph

MG, the French gentlemen running the counter, was great Super kind and friendly the whole time we were there He let us cancel our second night without penalty, gave us weather info, told us about things to do in the area, and got our door handle fixed because it wasn’t catching right

The facilities are a little tired, but the room was huge (2BR suite) and worked great for our family of 4 We’ll be back!

This was our second time staying here, and both times were fantastic The front desk employees are incredibly friendly, rooms are spacious and clean, and the pool area is fantastic (hot tub, plus a heated pool that can be accessed from both indoors and outdoors – the kids loved it) In addition to the very reasonably priced rooms, you get a full breakfast buffet, coffee 24/7, soft drinks in the evenings, and a happy hour with three FREE drinks and food every night

Super accessible to the airport and only 15 minutes from downtown Grand Rapids Highly recommend

Krystal Pryor

Great place to stay Loved the amenities and the fact that they serve breakfast and dinner; saved us a lot of money on foodThe only thing I didn’t like was the smell of the pool

To me it didn’t smell like chlorine and was really potent; almost made me gag The pool itself was clean though

Jonathon Vince

First time here and it was great Couldn’t keep driving and needed to stop Rolled in at 1AM

Guy at front desk got me a room and I was out Place is huge 6 floors Rooms are very nice and have all the normal stuff Breakfast is where it’s at Full hot breakfast Sausage, eggs, waffles, toast, cereal, danishes, ect included It is a little pricier than other places around but well worth it with the cleanliness and great food in the morning If I need to stop around here again it will most definitely be here ✌

Very happy! Our room was very clean, and the sheets and duvet were amazingly soft We had a double queen room and it was very spacious for our family with a really nice counter with a microwave, coffee maker, and fridge Jamie at the front desk checked us out, and he was so friendly and wanted to make sure we enjoyed ourselves

Brittney, our waitress for breakfast, did a wonderful job Breakfast had a lot of variety, and was delicious Would stay again!

Anne Stratton

Oh my This would be a 1 star rating at best but the woman working at the front desk was so genuinely helpful and considerate that I give 2 stars She was VERY friendly, helpful, and really seemed to care

A true asset to the hotel that left me leaving without being terribly angry as none of it was her fault The hotel is in need of some MAJOR cleaning and major repairs I had many issues during this stay, from no hot water at all in the evening, broken hair dryer, towels that smelled really bad, lotion that had clearly been used by another guest, filthy dirty carpeting, no working phone to call front desk in the room, etc I would not stay here again, but again the only saving grace was the front desk help, so I do appreciate that I have a picture of my socks which turned BLACK on the bottom after walking in the room for about an hour No kidding

Corey Whitworth

Stayed a single night in a king size suite The bathroom included an extra large shower area, however the toilet area was somewhat cramped The bed was comfortable and the room was spacious

Getting to the rooms beyond the conference rooms area was a bit confusing and the side door leading to the parking lot seemed to be finiky with our room keys Biggest complaint is the breakfast was $10 per person for an underwhelming selection Would not choose to stay here again as we’ve had better amenities at similarly priced hotels nearby

Everything about this hotel was really good The rooms have lots of USB chargers and the kitchens were really modern The only downside is we stayed on a Saturday night

The traffic noise outside was extremely loud until about 2:30am The hotel knows this so they offer complimentary fans, white noise machines and earplugs The location is awesome for walking around Would definitely try it again, maybe just mid week!

Heather (Dirty Paws Bus)

I’m a Grand Rapids-ish native but am now living in northern Michigan I visited GR

for the recent Ghost/Volbeat/Twin Temple concert and didn’t want to bother with driving far/dealing with parking The location of the hotel is absolutely perfect as we were so close to the arena that we could see it from our room The room was very clean, spacious and modern and parking was very convenient We were very impressed! The staff was super nice and helpful We will definitely be back! Thank you for a great stay!

I staid here for two nights as a part of a work trip Not having enough time to contact the hotel, I arrived pretty late for my check-in after a long road trip However, I was greeted with ease and convenience

The guest service manager, Amber, was very helpful and welcoming She insured that I would have a nice and comfortable arrival after my trip Shaun, the server and clerk, was nothing short of a great personality His positive attitude and tentative service made a simple breakfast meal feel like a warmly prepared home mealI would definitely stay here again and recommend it to my family and friends

My husband and I made a spur of the moment decision to take a little staycation a few hours from home We booked this hotel for mainly the pool/hot tub for our two sons (2&3) but the whole hotel was immaculate! The pool and hot tub were great, the pool was so warm and very clean! My boys did not want to leave! We will definitely be back!

Stay at Home2 regularly with work travel They are doing a great job here Room is clean, bed very comfortable and plenty of toiletry supplies

Breakfast is better than the last couple I have stayed at and coffee is always ready Parking lot cleared of snow and walks treated for ice, so customer safety is obviously important Would recommend for your stay Was here for 4 nights

The good-Most everything This hotel was very comfortable and quiet The beds were super soft and the sheets were silky

The rooms are very large and have a kitchenette Full sized fridge, sink, and dishwasher Dishes are provided for your use There was a TON of counter space We had two queen beds and a pull out couch The fitness center was pristine clean Good sized pool 55 feet Hot tub was nice and warm with jets I slept the best at this hotel out of any that I have stayed at You can’t here the highway at all Breakfast is free It was okay Omelettes and breakfast sandwiches were made ahead of time and kept in a warm box They had cereal, waffles, yogurt, fruit, juice, and toastThe bad- Fire alarm went off at 7am for unknown reasons It was very disorienting and irritating By time we were dressed it was off I did not have a hot shower the whole time I was there Water was warm at best Air conditioning was very loud We turned it off over night Housekeeping staff (girl with blonde ponytail) was very rude to my son when he went into the fitness center to grab a key I had left on the treadmill ( I was standing in the doorway He was not unattended) He didn’t say what she said but he was in tears

I’m a Diamond member with Hilton and travel virtually every single week and always stay in Hilton properties This one was pretty disappointing One of the elevators was broken

Equipment in the fitness center is broken Since the elevators were taking a long time I decided to take the stairs and it smelled like something died in there No matter what my status has been with Hilton I had never been charged for the cheap bottles of water before The good ones yes but not the cheap ones and I was charged for 2 of them on this trip Not a big deal just the principle The room was fine with the exception that the dispensers in the shower were empty but everything else was exactly why I choose Hilton properties

The room we got had a bed and a pullout sofa When we opened the sofa there was two old SOCKS that were easily visible Like, how can you not clean that? And there was some trash on the mattress as well

I obviously felt uncomfortable sleeping there Then, in the morning, housekeeping woke us up at 9:30AM, which we thought was so early and something we had never experienced in any other hotel Lastly, there was a BEETLE in the bathroom The whole room just felt so unhygienic and we felt uncomfortable being there For a Marriott hotel, we were extremely disappointed
