My work requires me to be in hotels about 25% of my time, usually being 5 to 10 days Fairfield is the usual choice by my company After a recent 9 day stay i requested that they NEVER book me in this hotel again

At my check in at 3 pm, i noticed the trash can at the front entry overflowing Check in average, front end staff seemed to struggle to be friendly Room was musty, but not a deal breaker Compliments to the housekeeping the room was clean Average comfort, not as nice as other Fairfield experiences Next morning at breakfast was greeted by Byron, a shining star of friendliness! Then this was filled by 5 days of horrible customer service, i watched the breakfast bar never be restocked until there was only a couple coffee cups and napkins Don’t even get me started on breakfast hours, starts at 7am WTH, definitely not work friendly There was always the front entry trash can overflowing The large metal no guns allowed sign at the entrance gave a liquor store feel Byron and Crystal were the only staff that greeted me, and we’re almost enough to raise my rating but i have had a couple weeks to think about my review There are 5 or 6 other hotel choices within a mile, choose them

The stay was decent, after leaving i noticed a $150 charge and a $61 charge on my credit card, I called the lady let me know it could possibly be a “smoking fee” from a non smoker?… highly allergic to cigarette smoke too which is another reason this is crazy I got the managers number, called when he was supposed to be in his office He called back and said he isn’t in the office and would give me a call back to check it out, no call back and can’t get ahold of him

Very nice hotel + very helpful and motivated staffNow only bad for me was all breakfast options have egg (I’m allergic to egg)I chose Fairfield over courtyard for the free breakfastOther than that fantastic place

It is a nice hotel but our experience so far has been less than idealMinimal choices for breakfast and every room has had animals in it A very pet friendly hotel

I prefer to stay in rooms that do not allow animals People with allergies take noticeLast night there was a large dog that kept barking, waking us up My husband called the desk multiple times and by 3:30, the dog was quiet, or we passed out from exhaustionWe paid for another night I hope it’s betterI give it a three because the room is nice2nd night was good and a good breakfastChanged to four stars

3Gen TV

Cold A/C , comfortable bed and great breakfast! Breakfast was scrambled eggs, sausage links, biscuits and gravy, and waffles! Definitely do yourself a favor and try the wafflesWill warn you if you are coming from a discount site, they don’t tell you about the room deposit of 10000

It was returned pretty quickly after checking the room but just an FYI

Your GPS will take you just about everywhere but to the hotel When you call and ask for directions they’ll talk to you like you’re stupid Enter 3308 BUS 259 Kilgore TX into gps, or google the nearby Hampton

I’ve had 5 different variations of the address come up for this IHG They’ll tell you to enter 3308 us highway 259 business north into the gps and this takes me to a cluster of schools on the south side of the highway When clicking on the address link in the confirmation email it changes the address to 3308 US-259, this is just in the middle of the highway

Courtney Bruno, the manager is amazing She is so kind and has great people skills The hotel was clean and well-kept

We were very impressed with the pool and hot tub and the bathrooms Everything seems top-notch and we will be recommending all family and friends to stay here in the future Courtney went the extra mile to make sure that we were happy Kudos to whomever hired her, trained her and we sure hope you give her a raise She’s worth it!

Jamin Cox

Hotel was clean and the staff on site during the visit were pleasant and helpful We reserved a 2 bedroom suite in a block of rooms for a wedding at a discounted rate When we arrived they had given the room away to someone else for a higher price without checking with us (we would have paid the higher rate)

So four of us had to figure out how to sleep with one bed They offered an airbed but we made due with one kid on the couch and one on the chaise lounge Also, with two 7 year old kids the only great thing about a hotel is the swimming pool, which was out of order due to chemical levels all three days we were there

Mark

The room was nice It did need to be maintained better The fact that the toilet seat would not stay up was annoying

The included breakfast was very disappointing, to say the least No pancakes or waffles No bacon They had box eggs and sausage I didn’t see much of anything It was Really limitedThe coffee was good We travel frequently and stay at IHG most of the time

Our stay was March 2022 and the hotel seemed reasonably new so like most Hilton’s it was generally quite nice Decaf coffee at the coffee bar! +1star The stupid sliding door to close off the bathroom (the reason we quit staying at Hampton Inns a few years ago) And no vent fan in the bathroom -1star Either Covid has given the hotels an excuse for downsizing staff or they are having trouble hiring

The front desk was unmanned much of the time Also no restaurant or bar in the evening -1star They had started up breakfast service again Despite the three star rating we would not hesitate to stay again

Mark Galoob

Yes hotel was clean, but I was told breakfast was included Honestly I can stay at 15 hotels that are the same quality same service levels w in 10 min of this place that provide free breakfast Also the blinds were broken in my room so I couldn’t look outside all

No window light at all They were supposed to fix it I will not be back

I did not enjoy my stay at this hotel When you walk in, the lobby looks nice, well kept, and even smelled fresh However, when you go to your room, it is not as clean as it should have been

There were several of us staying at this hotel and there were roaches and other bugs present, food from the previous person still in the microwave, dirty sheets, dirty toilets, and stains on the wall just to name a few The service was also not great They tried to charge us for two nights when our reservation was only for one night, and the lady up front wouldn’t honor our one night reservation Craziness! We had to get the manager involved So if you’re looking for a nice place to stay, don’t stay here!

Beach Lover

Very clean throughout the whole hotel Beds and pillows were comfortable The workers were very friendly

We stayed at many LaQuintas on our trip and this one surpassed them all Grateful they are pet friendly as we didn’t have time to find someone to watch the dogs and make it to my Grandma’s funeral in time My husband loved the Texas shaped Belgian waffles in their complimentary breakfast!!

Lewis Lackman

This is NOT a 3 star hotel! First is the desks service, they are not there in the evening and do not answer the phone when called If you want to check out early, please remember that you have to wait until 7AM for someone to show up to work The hotel is listed as 100% smoke free, it is not

I am not sick and my allergies have now caused a massive headache, swollen and sore throat, upset stomach and worst, no sleep! The walls have been wallpapered to cover the cigarette smoke stains and the staff has to utilize a cleaner and scented spray that is so disgusting that my nose is fully closed in order to try and hide the cigarette smoke smell The room itself my the business suite, the amenities in the room were nothing, couches small to the extreme, bathroom small and dirty, the ceilings afforded us a chance to view an impromptu Jackson Pollack with ail the nasty bodily fluids dried and the brown stains of something all over I will be going to Longview for at least four years on a regular basis and I will not ever be returning to this hotel for any reason I would rather sleep on the side of the street! I am very disappointed and disgusted with the poor service and horrid room

Great campground We arrived after hours and they had our paperwork ready on a board by the office The park was clean and quiet

The dog park was well maintained They have on site propane The playground was very nice We will definitely return when we are in the area We recommend stopping by when you are in the area A great RV park

Patrick Neal

Fantastic, well-maintained park Lots of paved level sites with grass and trees in-between so you don’t feel crowded Staff was courteous and escorted us to our pull through site

Has full hookups and wifi available Only stayed one night and didn’t get to checkout the facilities but the pool looked clean on the way in Definitely would go back if we’re ever in the area

N and C Farrell

An overnight stay with the park only 15 miles from I-20 Wow! In addition to the quiet, the park was incredibly well-maintained and very clean

The bathrooms were in excellent condition (being cleaned as we were departing) and the grounds were nicely landscaped and recently mowed The pads were concrete, level, well-spaced and able to easily fit my class A The camp host at check-in was very courteous and professional with the entire process taking less than two minutes There were plenty of places to walk the dogs, had clean up stations and a decent dog park The internet was very good and were able to stream a movie in the evening Will definitely consider staying here in the future!

I had just stayed here and I was very happy with the high level of service and quality of room When I checked in, the man at the desk asked if I’ve ever stayed at this kind of Hilton I stated that I had not and he explained what to expect

The breakfast was OK but I didn’t get to try much as it was being swarmed The only con I have is the second floor squeaked and I hard every footstep

Greg Mclendon

Motel is nice We got the suite so had 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms Will say though for the price I paid was highly disappointed in the shower water pressure

I could pee harder than it sprayed The toilets flush very loud But room was super clean and beds very comfortable just sucks to wake up to a shower ya can barely get wet and wash with

Ziggy The Chihuahua

We booked several rooms for a corporate event and it was the worst experience I have ever had when it comes to customer service They charged an employee for his room when it had already been paid for and then to get his money back we had to drive 2 hours so they could process the card in person Then while performing my monthly expense report I realized they charged the room for the night we booked instead of the night we stayed and they refuse to refund my money

I work for a very large corporation that typically recommends us to use Hilton hotels but moving forward I think we will book with Marriott in the Texas, Louisiana MarketI forgot to mention when I called customer service to get this resolved Sophia not only left me on hold for more than 20 minutes total she also was unable to do anything Very poor customer service all the way around

Stay somewhere else! I nicknamed this hotel “Discomfort Suites” and my husband called it “Mildew Manor” The rooms (we were assigned one and switched to another) smelled musty and caused allergy symptoms Our room stayed sticky-feeling — East Texas is HUMID — but this wasn’t a problem elsewhere around town

We opened the window (it was 100 degrees out) and that made it betterIt was clean — thank you, housekeeping! — and the bed was fairly comfortable Like so many places, it seemed understaffed — we often couldn’t find someone, like to ask about breakfast issues or where to get ice (there is only one working ice machine, apparently, and it’s on the first floor) There is Wi-Fi and cable TV but no streaming on the small televisionThere is some problem with the pool and apparently a leak through the property — the downstairs conference room had a fan running to dry it out and water damage seemed to go through the whole place Our first room (on 3rd floor) smelled strongly of mildew, especially in the bathroom (nearest the hall) and the door wouldn’t close We changed rooms and noticed that in the hall by our original room and the next, the wainscoting was removed and covered with black plastic — this was on the side above the poolThe fixtures throughout our room were worn — the tiles in the bathroom were cracked all across the floor, there were stains on the couch and pink stains (mold?) on the wallpaper in the bathroom The towels were small, thin and mismatched The sink and tub had no drain covers, just holes No niceties like tissue (there was a holder for the tissue box but no tissue box) or lotion The tiles in the elevator were cracked too In the public men’s room on the first floor there was no soap and the toilet wasn’t attached to the floorWe didn’t eat breakfast at the hotel but did go down for beverages in the mornings On day 1, I grabbed a cup of orange juice and brought it up to our room I took one sip and realized it was thin yet extremely pulpy, and worst of all it was warm! A food safety hazard, not to mention gross Day 2 my husband went down to get coffee and a cup of tea, or hot water, for me There were tea bags and a vacuum dispenser marked “Hot Water,” but the water in it was cold He waited a few minutes but could not find anyone to ask about the hot water, so we wound up heating some in our in-room coffee makerThe lobby is nice and the door said it would be locked after 9 pm but it wasn’t The pool wasn’t working and online reviews say it hasn’t been since last NovemberIt looks like the hotel is usually well under $100 We paid well over $100, I suspect because it was a theater festival weekend, and it was so not worth it

Teresa Busby

Not clean door to room would not stay shut even when locked, no complimentary any thing(coffee etc)Pool not usable Please someone needs to save this place??? We recommended to relatives from out of state, they were afraid to stay there and after checking in had to change motels??

Alyssa Eberle

Was horrible I checked in went to grab dinner came back went up to my room and it was disgusting went back to the front and let them know they gave me another room went back up to the second room and believe it or not that one was nasty to! Asked for a refund and the woman working wanting to beat around the bush wanted to see the rooms she went and looked at them seen for herself they was not clean

Said she give a refund requested the refund but put it on hold then took the money out the bank Andy way Very frustrating very complicated And the company I was there with will not be returning and neither will I! Very disappointed
