I give it a three for it’s people Great group of snow birds and full timers that live here all year It would be a pretty place if the owners cared as much for the park as they did their pocket book

They let people store their unused rigs all around the park Broken down trashy rigs that aren’t any good any more They have one poor guy working his butt off doing everything from maintenance to office work with no help The so called WiFi is a joke and they won’t fix it or secure it just for their campers This would be a wonderful place It’s sad really!

Was in town for a family wedding and was pleasantly surprised I was not expecting much but very happy with what we found Our large family was able to find plenty of space to socialize in the dinning and pool areas

Rooms were comfortable, clean and cooled, staff was friendly and accommodating The included breakfast had something for everyone My only complaint was the sundries really wish they had the shampoo, conditioner and body was dispensers in the showers like many other Hiltons now use Overall if you end up in Lake Whales this was a very nice place to stay and the employees seem happy to be at work

Chris Earl

AMAZING!!! I travel a lot and the staff at Lake Wales is one of the nicest I’ve ever come across From the front desk to housekeeping, A+ service! It is nice to see that people still understand the concept of customer service in this day and age I do have to point out one person in particular

The lovely lady who managed/staffed the buffet/dinner She was so kind to all guests and was just the sweetest!😊 Thanks again for such a wonderful week stay

partsgirl5001

We stayed in a wheelchair accessible room on the ground floor with a single bed Everything from the layout of the hotel and rooms to the breakfast selection and snack bar was impeccable Cleanliness is an understatement

My only personal complaint would be the bed Someone that has a bad back and needs a softer giving mattress, the bed was very stiff and I could feel every spring But that is to each his/her own preference Wonderful stay over all

We had a double queen room and the room itself was huge The owners take extremely well care of the property This is definitely a diamond in the rough as most Budget Inns are low quality and dirty

This location was neither of those things The only reason for the 4 stars is they allow smoking on the property but there were no ashtrays The toilets do not have lids so it would be easy to accidentally drop something in there due to the style of counters in the bathroom Also, the exhaust fan doesn’t work well enough and after a shower, everything in the bathroom is wet They have a locked office door that you have to get buzzed in so that immediately made it feel like we were in a bad area Thankfully the owners are dedicated to keeping bugs out and keeping the property clean I would absolutely stay here again if we were back in the area

Stayed at the Budget Inn in Lake Whales Florida for a week in March 2022 Was completely satisfied in every way Room was recently renovated with beautiful light coloured floors sparkling clean

Clean and quiet park with paved level sites We were only here a few days but would have loved to stay longer All of the neighbors were so friendly and Jack in the office is a hoot! We had a pleasant and enjoyable stay at East Haven

Thank you for helping us with the rental rate, we will definitely be back next time we visit central Florida!

Ray Piesciuk

Averaged $20/day for our four month stay including electricity charge This place is wonderful! The staff is very friendly Jack made sure we were always taken care of and even lent us a tarp for in front of our door

Jack is the BEST!!! Best of all, it’s QUIET here!! That may be different in one of the short term spots in front, but in the back – great! There is a mix of park models and RV sites Everyone staying here was very nice They have an activity every night ad most days They welcomed us snow birds with open arms The interior roads are a bit tight, especially making the turn in the back of the park We had to go onto the grass to make that turn in the RV, but no sweat The sites are spacious with enough room for awnings, slides, etc No cable, but tons of over the air stations for you TV watchers Location is right in the middle of everything Tampa, St Pete, Orlando all within about an hour’s drive So many nature places to hike and view wildlife Circle B Bar Reserve (about 1/2 hour west) is a MUST for nature lovers Internet is spotty at best Once the place cleared out in early March, the performance was better We will DEFINITELY be back – thanks for a GREAT winter!!!

Maurice Spivey

Jack is super cool and layed back Not sure why some post he is trouble, I stayed there several months without any issues Jack was always helpful and attentive to anyone’s needs

It’s a nice no frills, quiet, and close to everything rv park And by the way Jack’s rates are more reasonable than the others in the area If your gonna be in the area, definitely give this a place try

Front desk Carl was phenomenal, I love the fact if he did not know the answer he was willing to learn not just for the sake of telling a guest the answer but to educate his self for the next guest

he was pleasant, kind and welcoming He truly is a gemThe other staff members was great always greeting you with a good morning or helloThe room was good The bathroom was pretty clean for the most partThere is a pool but we did not use itHot Breakfast every morning

Luis Rivera

Great Great service, the gentleman named Carl should be the GM of the place I called the day before and he took really good care of my family and myself Not only did he take care of us he also took care of my buddy and his family as well and got us rooms right across from another

Once we arrived he (Carl) gave us first class service, very helpful knowledgeable It’s been a long time since we had phenomenal customer service, thank you Carl for the absolute best service Highly recommend this place because of himThe hotel is very clean and recommend it to anyone who wants piece of mind

Ben

I wanted to take a minute to leave a review of one of the most outstanding experiences I’ve ever had at a hotel stay There is a gentleman by the name of Jackie at your Winter Haven location who went above and beyond to help myself and my family have an extremely amazing experience People like him set the entire experience apart from other hotels I have stayed at

However much you are paying Jackie I can assure you that it is not enough This gentleman has a very special energy and attention to detail and went out of his way to help my two children have a memorable experience during our stay at Legoland Please give him a raise and do what you can to help keep him around before another company figures out how invaluable he is

This place has the most friendly owners! It is very tiny so keep that in mind when making reservations It worked out fine with our 26ft TT It is right on a tiny lake / big pond which offered amazing views

The bathroom/ laundry room was very clean in the back, though the front one I didn’t like to go into Everyone here is super friendly Our spot was big enough for our hammock and such which was awesome Location wise it is in a great spot to do lots of different things whether it’s trails or LEGO land Would definitely camp here again!

Roamin’ Rich

Great LITTLE Rv park! Very cozy and quaint The price was amazing for being so close to attractions Out of all the RV parks my family and I stayed at in the last two weeks this was my favorite

I really don’t know why maybe because it’s low key and not pretentious on any levelSomething to consider: If you’re towing any kind of a camper with a truck it’s probably not going to be a good fit The ideal situation here is a 36′ or smaller motorhome with an above average driver behind the wheelBeyond that disclaimer there is adequate laundry facilities, a dump station, a beautiful lake with no mosquitoes, a small in ground pool that’s very clean, and a dock to go out on to the lakeLots of wild ducks, some domestic rabbits, squirrels, and even a small crocodile were seen running aboutI would definitely come back here

The Lake Roy Beach Inn is situated on the shore of Lake Roy, with a dock for boat access, fishing and beautiful sunsets The lakeside rooms have screened in porches and beautifully landscaped views The room decor is a little dated, but clean and efficient

I love the sound of trickling water from multiple fountains on the property, the visual candy of beautiful ceramic pots, with a multitude of blooming flowers and healthy unique foliage Lastly, but certainly not the least in the charm of this place, are the managers/owners helpful and friendly care of their guests

E

Bed bugs!Sheets are not clean, “lobby” is a window Room was hot and didn’t cool down with the sad little air conditioner Bed bugs came out to say hello after not even a half hour

Not putting up with that obviously! It was almost impossible to get a refund but we insisted at least halfDisappointed and concerned about the well-being of my familyThis place is a no-go Poorly run, poorly maintained Stairs were very unsafe and rusty

Mike Castiglione

Stayed here for my wife’s bday so that we could rent jet skis First impressions the place is nice and the woman at the counter was very nice also I made sure at check in that we could use the boat ramp and she said it would be a $10 charge if you want to keep your vessel over night

I was only renting for 4 hours so she said it would be no charge Ok great and I checked in Later while we are the only people swimming in the pool we notice an old man (the owner) staring from around a corner the whole time we are swimming He watched us for 30-40 mins Made my wife feel very uncomfortable So the next day we rented jet skis from (radical rentals ) highly recommend Had a great time When we got of the and the guy was picking up his skis The owner was harassing him about giving him $10 to use the boat ramp So I peacefully walked over to him and told him that he should not be harassing my guy I’m the reason he is there if there is a charge it’s no problem I will pay just stop harassing my guy After I walked away he kept on my guy until he gave him $10 Then a few minutes later the owner comes back and gave him his $10 back I guess he must have talked to his wife Then my wife was expressing to him how he had ruined her birthday Instead of trying to make the situation better he told her if she doesn’t like we can leave So we packed our stuff and did not stay the second night I had already prepaid for Also had small roaches in the room So to sum it up Nice place very bad hosts and if you want any privacy at all DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The housekeeping staff were so friendly and made sure we had fresh towels for our stay Front desk staff was very helpful explaining how to redeem tickets for food and swag Room was perfect for our 6 and 7 yr old! They loved the bunk beds and slept in both days we were there

Room had just enough space so the kids had play area and we could watch TV (Kids loved their own TV in their area) Great time and experience If you pay extra to include meals, they are served family style

KD Counseling

The staff is EXTREMELY KIND Everyone The facility is clean

Rooms have space, are clean and fun for kids Complimentary breakfast is a feast Again the service was amazing Lunch & dinner at the Skyline lounge was also outstanding Overall, I recommend families to come and experience the fun and not overcrowded hotel and park I actually had a chance to relax on this vacation Love it

Tiffany McClure

The staff were all so friendly All of the lifeguards were so kind, but Marco and Christian were amazing! My kids adored them We couldn’t have asked for a better stay

The hotel was clean, the food was surprisingly very good and our room was great We stayed for a week The only negative thing I can say is, when staying a week, the in room gift was the same everyday But such a small thing, overall the stay was fantastic

When we arrived the check-in was easy however the staff said read the paper when I asked about somethingThe room was nice, could put a few extra towels especially since there is no housekeeping and no reception at the beach retreatWe ate dinner at the lighthouse and nice sized portions, fair prices and good quality

Staff were extremely helpful and friendlyUnfortunately there was lightning and they shut the pool at 6pm so after dinner we went back to our room where we discovered the Lego channel didn’t work and the on demand Lego movies didn’t work either There was no newspaper as listed in the booking Also when it’s bad weather there is nothing to do Would have been helpful if they had a community TV channel to advise when pool reopened I ended up walking past the pool at 8:45 to find out they reopened at 8 and because they close at 9 no point in getting the kids ready for the poolBreakfast was nice family style

Nikki

Let me start off with the positives The property was very colorful with a really nice pool area There was also a playground area for the kids to play however, the playground didn’t have a swing or slide so our kiddos got pretty bored quick

As for the actual bungalow it was okay A few things I should mention First, there is no room service You do have a few extra towels and an extra roll of toilet paper available but if you’re looking to have daily room service there isn’t any There isn’t a microwave Our bungalow had a small bottle of shampoo, conditioner and lotion There wasn’t any soap supplied so be sure to bring your bath soap and hand soap Next, the bathroom could have been a little cleaner There was mold on the shower curtain and some found near the sink drain The water in the bathtub drained very slowly The kids room was a little dusty so I decided to wipe everything down with cleaning wipes There was a dead lizard in the light fixture Lastly, the iron was broken We were still able to use it however it didn’t seem to get very hot Overall, the stay was okay The kiddos had a good time at Legoland and we enjoyed the privacy of the bungalow If you are planning to stay at this property be sure to bring your cleaning wipes, disinfectant spray and soap If you are a picky person then this place isn’t for you If you don’t mind the minor flaws then it’s an okay choice

Keith Wakefield

Was at the Beach Retreat for 1 night and everything was awesome I loved the speedy car side check in The room was heavily themed

They took kids into consideration with the room design Toddler toilet seats, clothes line in the shower and lots of spots to hang wet clothes The blinds were black out and made it very easy to sleep The pool was the perfect temperature and had lots of Lego bricks to play with They leave juice, water, hot cocoa, coffee and a Lego surprise for the kids in the room The included breakfast was served family style and they brought us everything we needed I really enjoyed staying here it was one of the best memories from my recent trip I cannot wait to stay at other Legoland hotels

The room is small The bed was very uncomfortable The pillows were barely 2” thick

There were no blankets! Just a sheet to sleep with They falsely advertised a free breakfast There is no breakfast I booked two nights, but after the first night I went to check out and get my money back They refused me a refund for the second night because I checked out at 11:55am instead of before 11am Even though I didn’t check in until 1am that morning because of delayed flights! Do not stay here!

Very nice location on the lake, but the sites (at least where we were) were a little too close together for my comfort Our neighbors had a bonfire going about 4-5 feet from the back of our camper, and our kids were up until about 11 listening to them carrying on That could obviously be hit or miss depending on who you’re next to

The owners were very nice and responsive to texts, delivering firewood on request ($8/bundle with nice fire rings)

Katie Muldoon

We were lucky enough to find Oak Hammock while researching places to stay near Legoland! Our entire family of six (including two small children) loved the quiet, peaceful vibes The owners were attentive and very welcoming The cabin was very clean and the shower had GREAT water pressure

Our family will definitely be back with our boat for a longer stay and a tour around the lake! Thank you to the Oak Hammock staff for making us feel so at home!

Joseph Cain

We just completed our 3rd stay @ oak Hammock Resort and its still awesome but now they’ve made even more upgrades! I just cannot say enough about the Owners, this location and everything about this Resort Truly a hidden treasure If you want nature, a Lake, peaceful atmosphere and clean cabins with all the amenities, give Oak Hammock a stay! You’ll be back too! ♥️

Fantastic property with great staff and rooms Definitely a great location for a family vacation Pools, restaurants and bars close at 9pm, so the hotel gets pretty quiet after that

Lego pits around every corner keep kids entertained and engaged Workshops (if you can reserve a spot) are awesome Michelle was a great master builder, made my kids trip better! Definitely recommend!

Craig Hughes

Awesome place for the kids, everything is geared towards them This is our second visit, and the kids talk about it for years after Adults be aware everything shuts down at 9pm

Included breakfast is the best you’ll find anywhere The heated pools are awesome They have a pajama party for the kids every evening Try to go to the park during the week We were able to stay on some rides for a second time with no wait during the week On the weekend everything was a decent wait

Drew Garceau

Spent 4 full days at the resort Over all, our 8 year old had a great time The two of us had a good time, especially seeing him have fun

At the resort, we had breakfast included, then got the all inclusive for lunch Only complaint about food was the missing healthy choices in the park Salad seemed to be non existent except in the water park Every thing is geared toward the 10 and under group Which is good since the lines are short When at the resort, look for free master builder events that happen each dayFor the resort hotel, the rooms were clean and well decorated with the kid in mind They have putt putt, smores at night and kids geared live entertainment (don’t worry there is a bar at both areas)I would suggest including 2-3 days at LegoLand during a trip to Florida, especially if you want a less crowded resort to get a little down time, but still be able to tire the kids out
