I only stayed for a night and checked in very late The staff was so nice and polite The hotel is very nice and clean

Unfortunately my sheets were dirty on the bed and the toilet was very dirty Besides the room not being turned over correctly it was a very nice stay The rooms are spacious, air conditioning works great They provide body wash and shampoo I the bathroom There’s a TV iron and a mini fridge that fits a good amount of left overs There is also a nice Starbucks in the lobby and a nice mini mart with frozen dinners and snacks since things aren’t open very late in that area

Brianna Hawkins

This was a good stay! I was in town for work and stayed here for a week! The hotel and the rooms were clean But the best part was TONY at the front desk!!!! He was so personable, willing to help answer my questions, and gave me a rundown of the area! Some of the best customer service I have ever received! The only reason this stay loses a star is because I prepaid for a King room but was given a Queen because all of the Kings were gone on the first night of my stay but the staff worked to change it for my remaining 6 nights which was great!

I have to say, I was very frustrated to find out that this location didn’t have a pool The frustration came from a badly placed google image of a pool that the hotel used to have, right when you google the hotels name It was confusing and misleading

Therefore, we cancelled our stay, but still got charged due to hotel policyI voiced my concerns to Marriott and within a few short days, they got me in touch with the Front Desk Supervisor Their name was Alex and they were extremely helpful and pleasant to speak with Alex got everything squared away for me and issued a refundI just really appreciated the effort and the help from this hotel We may not have stayed there this time but judging by how helpful the staff was, we’d stay in the future Thank you again!!

We had a lunch event to celebrate my son’s baptism Kiera was great and answered all of my questions prior to the event The food was amazing and the staff was incredible and the space was the perfect size for 30 people! The bartender was great to my guests and nobody waited long to get their drinks

I really appreciate how wonderful you made the day and can’t wait to go back to the hotel for dinner Thank you all again so much!

Had lunch over weekend We went to downstairs bar, the bartenders warned us it will take a while to get served Ok no problem we weren’t in a hurry

About 20 min later we placed an order for 2 pear martinis They were delish! We both had the chicken gyro Seriously the worst gyro I’ve ever had The chef literally threw a dry chicken breast, lettuce n a tomato on an even dryer gyro…there was no spread on it I took one bite n set aside My sister did the same We told the bartender it was terrible, he shrugged n took it away He did remove one from the bill I expected much more from a restaurant of this scale

Nice hotel I feel like “The Alloy” focused their expenses and updates on the lobby/ dining area (which to be fair is beautiful) The rooms are nice as well with newer furnishings, but don’t quite match the elegance of the main entrance

Staff was very friendly and helpfulMy room was equipped with a mini fridge (which was great) However, the bathroom did not have a fan, which led to cloudy mirrors after showering I could sometimes hear other guests through the walls (but it was not overly bothersome)Parking was manageable There are many restaurants, coffee, and grocery stores nearby You cannot hear any highway noise from inside the rooms

Lucero Galvan

Beautifully remodeled hotel All the main areas, including rooms, had updated features and decor Note, that the only “outdated” area, IMO, was the bathroom – however still very nice and spacious

We received a warm cookie at check in, which we enjoyed in one of their outside seating areas, with the most comfortable couches The fully-stocked bar area had plenty of seating for drinking or collaborating with colleagues The best part was the gym It had all the needed machines and weights to have a fairly good workout They even have an area with ear phones in case you forgot your own All the machines seemed new, with TV workout interactions It’s one of the better hotels we’ve stayed on our work trip in Philly

J Ra John

This will be my second time coming to The Alloy, and it didn’t disappoint The staff upon check-in were amazing, beautiful, helpful, warm, and welcoming The Hotel itself, sets very elegantly on the property

The general entrance / commons, bar, and restaurant areas are so well-kept and look great The rooms are spacious, clean, updated, and comfortable I really have no complaints for The Alloy on this stay It was pleasant, and close to everything I needed to get to All major retail, and entertainment are within seconds, to a few minutes from the property I have now made this place a permanent consideration, for future leisure or business stops in the KOP area

As we finish our relaxing weekend stay at Barley Sheaf, I am compelled to sing the praises of this location Prior to our arrival, when unforeseen circumstances had affected the original room we had reserved, the owner went above and beyond to accommodate us and ensure our satisfaction Our stay since has been extremely enjoyable, from the incredible service of the staff and gourmet meals (dinner at the restaurant was superb, as was the complimentary breakfast) to the peaceful grounds and lovely room

I would recommend this location to anyone seeking a relaxing or romantic getaway The 5 stars are well deserved!!!

Aunnika Short

We came here to catch up with friends for dinner and the service was excellent We hadn’t seen each other in months, so thank you for giving us time to catch up before taking our orders We were able to take our time and really enjoy the meal

If you come here, be sure to get the chocolate pudding cake – it’s heaven! They also give you a cookie to take home which is icing on the cake of a great evening Thank you for such a great dinner – now I just need to try the brunch!

Michael Bomze

Wow, what a place! Such a slice of tranquility just a short drive from Philly Was here for a wedding and we were so glad we had the opportunity to stay overnight at the Inn – in the Hello Sweetheart cottage in particular Sure the clearance is comically short in sections (at least for a 6’2” guy) but the uniqueness of the space (including a below-ground jacuzzi

most excellent), comfort of the bed and excellent shower more than made up for the slight inconvenience of contorting or ducking to account for some wacky ceiling angles Add on a very gracious and helpful owner and probably the most impressive and delicious included-breakfast in Pennsylvania, and the place is a dream Excellent venue for a wedding, too Just had a wonderful time overall and wish we could’ve stayed longer! Will be back for sure

Very clean Home away from homeTyler was the bombcom!! Very helpful and courteous Well mannered and informed about the inner city happenings He went above and beyond to assist with an emergency that we faced I really appreciate that All companies need more Tyler’s on staff He deserves praises, raises and all that

William Shipley

This place is incredible Staff is great, especially the breakfast manager or the person who is there every day lol He was extremely kind and thoughtful of my family and I

Most of the rooms are single studio style condo or apartment style Little kitchen, living area, a bed and bathroom Cleanliness was pretty well done The carpet did have a stain near the door like ink or makeup or something and the pull out mattress didn’t have a mattress cover and let’s just say it needed it We hard passed on using it We are always here in fall or winter so never get to experience the pool or outdoors of this place which is very well put together There is a path that winds in and out throughout toward the front that is enjoyable to walk to breakfast through All in all, we will absolutely be back

The rooms are dated (if that’s important to you), but mostly my concern is carpet which was very dated and felt dirty (i didn’t get close enough to thoroughly inspect, just wear your flip flops and it’s fine) The AC and fridge were both pretty loud but just white noise so that didn’t bother us too muchFront desk people were all very nice and answered any questions we had

Pool looked clean but we didn’t get a chance to use it Breakfast room is small (i guess not everyone eats their free breakfast)Neighborhood: i mean the mall is in view which also means lots of restaurants and next door is dominoes which for us was a great option for a late dinner Not a great place to walk around since you’re surrounded by main roads but we managed a stroll and it felt pretty safe

Grace Gardner

This hotel was actually so awful I came here on a school trip and we got our room and it wasn’t cleaned since the last stay, my classmates rooms weren’t cleaned either The beds were messy and the bathroom was gross

We ended up getting new rooms and the sheets didn’t fit the bed The toilet wouldn’t flush and numerous other rooms had plumbing issues too The downstairs wasn’t being used because there was water damage in the basement There weren’t many breakfast options either The bedding was practically just sheets, it gave off creepy vibes and a 13 year old was hit on by another person staying here The only reason I’m putting 2 stars and not one is because the pool was great, and the outside was pretty cool I do NOT recommend!!!

Melanie Garbaini

Great location Outdated decor/ rooms Extremely dirty pool with no running filter and hardly any chlorine

Friendly employees Front desk does not answer the phones though Breakfast was very simple So not try the Blueberry waffle mix, it’s awful Bed was comfortable Rooms did not receive service Stains on shear curtains No dark curtains to block out lightThere are other hotels in the same area that are probably much better

I am not sure where all the exceptional, 10/10 reviews come from on this hotel, but we did not have a 10/10 experience Not sure if the other rooms may have been any better, but our room was in terrible condition – dirty, dusty and had trash left from previous occupants (plate of partially eaten pizza slices under the bed, random medication/pill and other trash on the floor), mold and dust in the bathroom See included photos

Check-in and checkout were easy, but the attendant always had to be called from the back room Pool and hot tub were good, but they were always short on towels, so they gave us some regular hotel room towels I can’t give this place more than one star based on our experience for the cost of the hotel We’ve stayed in much cheaper places that were a lot cleaner than this We had another family in our group who had to have the hotel switch rooms because of weird stains on the bed Definitely won’t stay here again It’s weird because the other reviews mention the lack of availability of the pool as only negative, but that was really the only positive experience at this hotel, based on price paid for the stay

Stayed here for one night First of all, men on the front desk were amazing, so nice and polite people, who can keep a conversation Rooms are clean, no smell

The biggest tv I’ve ever seen in the hotel, was able to connect my phone to the TV and watch Netflix Food is available for delivery around, tastes great Amazing experience, loved this hotel!

The front desk employees amazing staff but for the housekeepers they need to step it up because the rooms aren’t clean very well Our room had to be changed the first time because of the bathroom being dirty still with stuff on the toilet The second room was better but still had men’s bread hair on the counter still I went n bought cleaner n just cleaned it myself because I have to small kids n with covid thats a big no no

First I should say that before posting this review I emailed the owner because I feel there are real issues she would want to address with her staff Unfortunately the email was not acknowledged so I will give a condensed version of my email hereI stayed there for several days when I was in town for my daughter’s wedding, so we had several rooms between family and friends

On two different occasions Brenda, one of the front desk staff, walked into occupied rooms using her master key and without knocking One of these times walking in while someone was undressed and she offered not one word of apology, just “Oh wrong room” One evening I was getting something from my closet and water dripped onto my arm This is the closest where my daughter’s wedding dress was hanging, my son’s suit, my dress, etc I went to the front desk and Brenda asked if it was “just clear water“ Because I guess that is somehow not so bad When she came to look at it she said “well it’s only on one part of the closet“ When I said that wasn’t acceptable she said she would put me in another room So, we pack up all of my things and move down the hall When we get there she says I can’t stay in that room that night so she gets a rolling clothes rack and back we go to the original room At least I did get a room comp for that circus There were so many other issues from the massive confusion booking rooms in the first place (which apparently only one person can handle), to housekeeping issues like a sticky substance on the foot of my bed when I checked in, or a guest being handed a trash bag when he asked to have his room cleaned upOther issues about the hotel in general include: no loading zone to unload your bags, parking is three blocks away, you can take the elevator to the third floor but depending on your room you’ll still have to drag your bags down and up a set of steps Yes there is breakfast but only if you don’t want coffee until after 9:00 otherwise you’re hitting Starbucks across the street There is an ironing board in the room but no iron because they said they get stolen, but I wasn’t supposed to be concerned that the lock on my door didn’t workThe one bright spot to applaud was the waitstaff we had for the rehearsal dinner and the brunch the next day They were all wonderful

Beth Brown

I had a small wedding reception on 5/28/2022 at the Doylestown Inn and I have to say it was perfect from the beginning to the end First you deal with Claudine to get the ball rolling the Brenda who is the hands on manager , Brenda was a pleasure to work with so accommodating, I asked her if we could come in early to decorate and she she said she would check to see if it was possible and she said “ I know you have a vision of what you want the room to look like and I don’t want to take that from you” which I thought was one of the nicest things she could have said to me The room looked phenomenal and the waitresses Bernadette and Ilia (forgive me is I misspelled it) were like part of the family

The FOOD OMG sooo delicious from appetizer to dessert They made the affair one to remember Thank you for making my daughters day so special

Taylor Clark

Wouldn’t book here again, even if my life depended on it I have never booked a room in a hotel 3-4 weeks in advance only to be called the week before and told (in a snippy manner) that they’re cancelling my room One of your staff overlooked the fact that they had double-booked the room and in a show of true negligence, declined to notify me until making other arrangements was too late

I am genuinely abhorred by the Doylestown Inn’s ignorance and lack of remediation surrounding this issue I was issued no formal apology and my boyfriend has yet to get his money back Offering me essentially no other option, we are now forced to cancel our trip to Doylestown next week

I live across the street from the Marriott Lansdale Occasionally I’ll have visitors from out of town and when I can’t accommodate them I put them up at the Marriott Lansdale I find the the hotel is clean, well-run and represents the Marriott brand in a good light

This is especially true for the friendly staff inside the Marriott’s restaurant/bar, The Porch The food is very good and it was a pleasure getting to know Frank the bartender, a true professional

Olivia Carr

How can a hotel give your reserved room away when you arrive no later than 9:00pm??? I called earlier that night and told them as such They assured me my room would be ready for me Then they give the room away?!?! Unprofessional

Horrible customer service Brigitte is a terrible manager who makes awful decisions Shame on you Brigitte!!

I had my wedding here 06/25/22 and rate it a 10/10 Jamie and Dana were so responsive when I had questions (and there were A LOT) and made my day exactly how I pictured I loved the property and that it had overnight accommodations

I love how they have up to 3 getting ready spaces too They did updates to the ballroom and patio which looked stunning Food was great too!

Patricia Connelly

Wow! Is what comes to mind when I think of this place My husband and I came for our anniversary We were met with friendly greetings

We had a lovely room to stay in Everything was spotless and clean We enjoyed happy hour and the bartender was very polite We enjoyed the food and drinks Thank you for your great hospitality We hope to come back one day soon!

Emily Levy

Nothing compares to Joseph Ambler Inn! They have everything you could want for a perfect, small to medium rustic wedding There are great options for both indoor and outdoor ceremony spaces The whole campus is gorgeous and well kept

The food is SO GOOD!!! Having on-site accommodations was a major plus for both in and out of town guests Walking across the courtyard after partying all night was the perfect commute Their wedding package includes so much: Open bar, all food, champagne toast, day of coordinator, wedding cake, bridal suite, honeymoon suite for the couple(!) I’m sure I’m missing things Jamie was very responsive and really worked with us in terms of budget and logistics She was great I saw a few reviews saying they aren’t very responsive, but that’s not true I will say I was very pro-active in setting up my own times to talk with Jamie, and I think that may be important to do, rather than waiting on her to reach out if you’re an antsy bride like me Meg, our day-of coordinator was a total rock star! There were quite a few moving parts I was concerned about during the day, but the whole thing went FLAWLESSLY My husband and I (and our guests!) can’t stop raving about this venue We can’t wait to go back just to eat at the restaurant
