The best part of my stay was when the staff member Aremecia(I believe that’s her name) went out of her way to accommodate me She was a sweet older lady with curly hair I originally booked one night and decided to stay a second night after arriving

I was originally told I had to check out and then check in to get another room and that I could not keep the same room I was told I had to do this book because I booked with a 3rd party I asked for early check in and I was told it was not possible I knew it was last minute so I understood The next day when checking out, this sweet lady found a way to check me in early, offered me to stay in the same room and accommodated all my needs She made it seem like it was no problem at all She was definitely inconvenienced to make these arrangements for me and I could tell she had to move things around for us, but it really made our day go so much smoother Because of her, my stay went from good to EXCELLENT It is service like this you don’t see too much nowadays and that is why it was so extra special She is the only reason why I decided to write this review

Pros: First off don’t listen to the bad reviews on the breakfast Very good full breakfast A+ Crispy bacon, fresh eggs, and cubed potatoes, decent French toast

Great stay overall Comfortable king bed and comfy sheets Nice showerCons: tiny cold pool Very dirty jacuzzi

Miguel Garcia

Location and rooms were good But, breakfast is not included in the room price, unless you pay a higher room price If you have breakfast, you must pay $14

99 + tax There is also an additional 17% charge during the month of June and July Ironically, I was not informed of these when I booked my reservation Other than that, the hotel stay was good

Great location very close to NASA and not too far from the boardwalk area Hotel looks fairly new and our room was large and clean The balcony view of the lake is quite nice

The higher the floor the better The staff went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed They even let us hang out in an unused conference space after checkout because we were waiting for a late flight The breakfast was quite good with made to order omelets and waffles along with a small buffet with all the standards like scrambled eggs, potatoes, bacon, fruit, ect

Glenn Kristi

We stayed here a few months ago A bit pricey The restaurant was pricey for what you get

Bathroom has a vent going into the room next door and if I was a peeping Tom I could easily entertain myself watching someone take a shower, or worse I pinned a towel over it Very weird! I noticed light coming from it when the light was off in our bathroom Had it not been for that I would have never noticed it The better view would be of the water I’ve had better experiences at cheaper hotels Not really a place I myself will go back to, unless I had no choice Wasn’t the worst, but definitely not the best

Michael

Great hotel for runners! The lake front rooms have a nice sunrise view of Clear Lake but the best feature for me is the 10 mile running loop right at the hotel More paths extend from there This is also a popular area for bicyclists

Fitness center and pool are not special Breakfast was delicious – $19 buffet exceeded my expectations

I was just there to give a helping hand But I would like to thank Sonesta for the very well kept room and the well groomed court yard I especially liked that the rooms came with pots and pans

We beat the heat every evening at the pool It was so nice in the court yard I used the outside grill and we enjoyed dinner outside our last night there I will definitely keep a eye out for your suites on my next trip Thanks again for making our experience a great one

Heather Copass

Absolutely awesome I had a great experience and we had an issue at check in, however the staff went above and beyond to get issue taken care of The room was basically a 2 bedroom apartment and was so cute and cozy

The guest are all so friendly and inviting as well I did not get a chance to use pool however I noticed it was clean They also had a basket all court and volleyball set up, regretted not taking my basketball or volleyball

Raven Hardcastle

Vibe: old apartment complex converted to a hotelRooms: clean and good for the price Beds were comfy and sheets felt fine

The walls are thin Kept awake by drunk people fighting/threatening each other/yelling obscenities from 2am to 4am on a Saturday night; for how well I could hear it it might as well have been happening inside my skullService staff: friendly and helpful!Breakfast: Supposedly existed, but we never saw evidence of it Was down there at 10am Sunday and 9:30 Monday; not so much as a lingering smell either day Not even coffee left on Sunday at 10 Better be an early bird if you want that wormOverall, this is really a case of getting what you pay for It’s perfectly adequate for the more than reasonable price If you plan on being there only to sleep, it’s totally fine If you’re trying to have a relaxing getaway and want to chill at your hotel some, maybe keep looking

Alot better than the Hilton down the street, there the hallway and rooms look older-not worth the price Here at the Hampton, everything looks more new or modern, the beds are firm, quiet hallways, See if my pic shows up Good breakfast 6 to 10am

Everyone on staff is nice and helpful If i had to be picky about any negative things, it would be the pool (3ft- 5ft deep) is open until 10pm but no lights underwater like at other hotel pools, they Only have lights by the outdoor tables There’s Seafood restaurant across the street from hotel but try to go in a vehicle, the street has 6 lanes

Nursenanz N

This is one of our favorite places to stay The reason I am giving it 4 stars is because on one of our stays the shower didn’t work, which we did not realize until the morning of checkout and nothing could be done The second reason is I really don’t care for the egg omelets

There are plenty of secondary options, fruit, waffles, cereal and oatmeal along with pastries sometimes I prefer a hot breakfast and the scrambled eggs were better than the omelets Staff has always been friendly and helpful I stay here probably 4-5 nights a month

I arrived to have a relaxing weekend before I am admitted for another procedure The service representative (Emily) decided to question my health condition as to confirm my ADA status for my service dog Understandably inquiring to a degree but asking “what is your condition?” THATS NOT Legally acceptable

Mind you, not only do I have a certified ID for the dog but it’s illegal for her to inquire about medical conditions I did disclose and even was willing to call my doctor to speak with her I informed her that she cannot legally inquire about my status and she said she could I’m offended and annoyed I will never visit this location again They have no respect for anyone with a disability so I hope they have respect for my veteran husband because he’s calling the manager to get this addressed I only told the representative about one of my conditionsJust an update: I decided to go and inquire about the questions they generally ask This morning representative asked THE APPROPRIATE questions but she had to step about 2 to 3 feet away to find them This leads me to believe that the team here is trained appropriately but Emily may have made just a common mistake that many do when trying to recall questions I’m not done with ordeal but I’m more empathetic that she may have made a mistake Regardless, mistakes or not, I did tell her that is illegal to ask me and I will be moving forward with ensuring corporate steps in and the local ADA is advised of this matter”When traveling with a service animal, according to the ADA, the hotel staff only has the right to ask you two questions;• Is your dog a service dog?• What task(s) does your service dog provide?”Please note that the facility was lovely and all staff, even imposing and disrespectful Emily, appeared to be helpful I would not recommend anyone coming here due to my experience but if that never occurred then this truly would have been lovely

We only stayed here for 1 night but it was great Check in was quick and easy The room was very clean and well stocked with anything we might need

The bed was very comfortable and had both soft and firm pillows The breakfast was great as well with both hot and cold options Check out is 12pm which is nice and keeps you from feeling rushed We enjoyed our stay and definitely recommend staying here!

Tammerriol Smith

There were ample towels but no towel racks in the room The room was pleasant & clean The key cards did not always work

Had to replace ours & so did other guests There are no adult hours at the pool, so we had to share the pool & hot tub with the children By the time the kids got out, 9:45 – 9:50 & a few childless adults got in, we were promptly chased out @ 10:00 They do welcome pets though & although we didn’t partake they appeared to offer a really great breakfast The dining area was packed every morning

Kim Cam

Everyone, and I mean EVERYONE who works for Staybridge goes above and beyond for their guestsThe breakfast team learned of my daughter’s allergies and every morning of our stay prepared a special bowl of fruit for herThe dinner team kept me laughing

They are never too busy to socialize with the guestsThe variety of meals is awesome! The front desk staff is fabulous and so very kindOur room was more than we could have hope for or imagine So clean The beds feel like heaven, the shower is perfect for practicing operatic solos, and the suite itself was actually r o o m y! We had space to relax and not get in each other’s way! Did I mention, clean?!My kids said they felt like they were on a cruise The only thing that messed with the cruise comparison is that we had to go to school/work everyday Ha!

There was a pint of ice cream in the refrigerator when we looked inside of itThe telephone did not workThere was no hand soap in the bathroom

The television remote did not work Switched remote three times before we could find one that would workWe were on the third floor, if we wanted ice, we had to go to the second or fourth floor to get iceThe elevators and elevator doors needed cleaningThe stairways were dirtyThe floors in front of the elevators were dirty, it looked as though they needed to be moppedThe staff was very polite and and the one receptionist was helpful in finding a remote for the television that would work

Collin Maki

You know, if it was not for the customer service I would had this a 1The place is ruin down and is not that wonderful I had 5 rooms and on one of them the door would not work when my team got back at 1 am

So they put them in another room till 6 amThe graveyard shift lady was a jerk and has poor communicationBut the manager took my phone call at 2 am and then took care of everything!! The other lady that was amazing was Trinity!! She works the swing shift 100% she made up for the lack of the place being updated Again, needs a lot of work but the staff cares and you can tell it starts with the management!!

Scott Adair

I would not recommend this place to anyone!! It is not clean! Our bathroom was so nasty!! Mirror had toothpaste all over it , shower had hair in it and just nasty, floors dirty in corners, coffee pot had crumbs all in the tray!! Elevators need to be swept! Rugs need to be vacuumed! Someone needs to learn how to clean!!I complained to front desk about the bathroom and told them to clean it!! Come back and it still was NOT cleaned!!I have NEVER been to another holiday inn that was this dirty!!

What a treat I had mistakenly left a special charger and ear buds behind on a previous visit 2 months before They managed to not only find but kept and secured until my return

I have now stayed here several times and always find the hotel to be extremely clean and everything in good working order The staff is always willing to help better my stay It is truly a treat to see this kind of customer service!!

Bridget Harpster

The staff was very inviting at 11:00pm We were able to have hot cocoa upon arrival Bed were very comfortable

Rooms were perfectly clean, sleek, roomy, and simplistic modern Would definitely use them again Only 35 minutes to port of Galveston for cruise Leave by 9:30am to beat traffic! We had adjoining rooms that were perfect for our family of 6

Jess Meaders

This is a pretty cool place From the awesome seating downstairs to the relaxing couches at the pool, the vibe is super laid back For the price, it’s really not a bad deal

The breakfast was sufficient, they have coffee and hot water 24/7 downstairs, and there are foosball tables downstairs The downsides: the room is small and there are no coffee makers in the rooms I did also have some hair in my shower and the shampoo dispensers have not been cleaned thoroughly in quite a while (see picture) It is close to quite a few stores (Costco, Target, Burlington, etc), the medical district, and about 10 minutes from Planet Fitness Enjoy/disfruta! 😁

Overall great experience and great customer service On the side of resorts some of the little things did get me

the television in the room had poor volume and there were very limited channels maybe 16 total There were no options to connect to Netflix or other streaming options Though the point is usually to be out in the boardwalk when staying here the little things like this when your trying to unwind has an effect on the overall experience of the stay This does not detract from the overall experience but as it applies to the Inn specifically this is something I would like to seem them upgrade on The front desk was very helpful and prompt with responses I would like to have seen them have a continental breakfast included with the cost but unfortunately there is not at this time If having the breakfast is not possible then maybe some dining dollars for the next door grille would be appealing Will be comparing other Landry resorts in the future to see any contrasts Again, overall, pleasant experience and would recommend for families to experience

Martin C

The location is great You are literally right on the boardwalk and close to the restaurants and attractions The live music and the train ride could be an issue if you are sensitive to that but we enjoyed it

We paid more to stay here than other places in the area in hopes of getting a top notch room also Our room could have used more attention to detail The shutter blinds on the balcony door and windows were broken and in need of repair as well as the weather stripping on the bottom of the door The ottoman had a large RIP in it The tub in the bathroom had old stains and should be re-caulked The woodwork in the bathroom could use a fresh coat of paint as there were several chips in the paint Also , the pool liner needs some major attention Several areas are showing serious signs of wear and tear If it sounds like I am being picky yes Premium price should get you premium quality Management should really give the place a serious quality control once over if they expect repeat business

Crystal Mouton

This is a nice hotel Very clean and decorated beautifully The only downside I could find was the water pressure for showers was horrible

And the outside noises from the train and music lasts pretty late in the night if you have little ones trying to sleep However, I loved being so close to the boardwalk and being able to just go to our room if we were tired

The best hotel stay I’ve had in a long time! From check-in to check-out everything was wonderful! Every member of staff (front desk, maintenance, the woman who does breakfast) was extremely kind, helpful and welcoming! The linens were crazy soft, I didn’t want to get up! Both elevators were functional and very quick which is rare these days and so appreciated The rooms are very spacious and include a full size refrigerator/freezer, 4 person dining table, and full size sink There are so many great breakfast options-hot or cold

Plenty of parking even at night and well lit Even though the hotel is located right off a major interstate the sound of vehicles was never heard from inside the building10/10! Love this Home2Suites and will be back!

Rabig House

I am super close to giving 5 stars because I loved my stay here! We were greeted kindly, the room and hotel were clean, the amenities were outstanding and the patio was fun and relaxing Smoking was allowed on the patio and for me that’s a negative The laundry facility is expensive so that is a bummer

The bathroom is tiny But the staff were nice The fitness center was well stocked The cleaning service was thorough and timelyI will definitely stay here again!

Alexis Sheeds

Me and my 4 year old stayed 4 nights here and we LOVED it! My son ended up getting super sick for 24 hours and the staff was amazing, brought me clean towels, sheets and blankets several times within that 24 hours and they were always super friendly and helpful Never made me feel like I was asking for too much! (Because I know I probably was) The breakfast was awesome too, wide variety and I don’t usually like hotel coffee but the coffee was really good Definitely recommend this hotel!

Great location and will be even better after highway construction is finishedNice room, but my ac didn’t blow very well at all and water temp in shower was terribly hard to controlIf you like to get out and away from the treadmill, there is plenty of area to walk and enjoy the area

4 stars only for the ac and shower issue, but would certainly stay, if in the area again

Perfect location Extremely compassionate and friendly hostess If memory serves me, her manne was ms Gina

She was very very nice! The room was clean and super comfortable I had less than 3hrs before I was due to be at the hospital, the bed I slept in offered such comfort that I woke up feeling like I’d slept a full 8 hrs! My new go to hotel

I reserved and paid for a room online for a colleague I got a confirmation and it showed on my credit card statement When my colleague arrived, the hotel claimed they needed to “run” my card and that it was denied

So my colleague called me and I talked with the hotel employee on the phone I explained that it was probably denied because the charge was already run and it was approved and on my credit card But she was adamant that it was not paid for I gave her the confirmation number and everything but she wouldn’t let him and his family have the room until it was paid for (again) So they charged his credit card for the room I told the lady that I needed her to cancel my transaction then and she said she can’t because there is no transaction (even though my credit card showed there was as well as the confirmation email) So I said I wanted to speak with the manager and she said she’d have to take my name and number and have the manager call me Now 5 days later the charge is still on my credit card and the manager has never called me (even after my leaving several messages on her voicemail)This hotel is just messed up Don’t book anything online, as you run the risk of paying for it twice and then they won’t refund you What a pain this has been I don’t know how long I’ll have to fight them on this I will probably end up having to dispute it through my credit card company

7/24/22We stayed 5 nights where a room with a king bed was booked about 1 month out A week prior I added one night to our stay Upon checking in we were assigned a double queen room

Nobody said anything about the room type change until we entered the room to find wore out beds that had bad creaks when getting in or rolling over in bedThe desk clerk said they did not have a king room for us per the reservation, the hotel was bookedWe stayed 5 nights and the room was serviced 1x On day 4 we requested and were assured that that housekeeping would come and they never didThe corridor on the first and second floors need to be vacuumed By the time we checked out the place was looking like a frat house The carpet was fraying in the stairwell on our endI’ve stayed here before and had a much better experience I do not recommend this hotel

Loved the music in the lobby totally took me back with spice Girls and Ashanti! Our room was extremely clean and loved having 2 tvs in our room It was nice after a long day to relax and watch something we wanted and kiddo could relax and watch a little something he liked before bedThe breakfast was good

I enjoyed the sausage, egg and cheese bagel My kiddo had cereal and yogurt Husband had sausage, egg and cheese biscuitThey have towels by the pool which is great!!!Location is really nice Very close to everything! About a 12 minute drive to NASAThe beds are pretty firm, if that’s your likingWe will stay again next time we’re in the area

EXTREMELY CLEAN AND FRIENDLY STAFF! This hotel was saved me and my family from a bad experience It was very clean, the staff were very nice and accommodating The beds were comfortable, the water pressure in the shower was awesome, the temperature was amazing

I love that I was able to add my Netflix account while there Wonderful hotel!

Colleen Williams

First off let me say the location was great! It felt very safe and secure On the other hand do not stay if you think you will enjoy the breakfast it was HORRIBLE! Pearl sugar waffles please Marriott learn your guests To the room we had 2 queen beds one bed is so close to the heater/air one stubs your toe getting in and out of bed

Very poor planning When trying to have guests reuse towels you need hooks or something to hang your towel on to dry When turning the tv on and off it makes a very loud intentional noise Bathroom light comes on automatically but you have to turn it off So many lamps in the room maybe instead install a ceiling fan It would be nice to have more than one chair in the roomif you enjoy a very firm mattress you will enjoy this place

We stayed over night here before boarding our cruise out of Galveston and it was awesome! Great location as it was near shopping and eating areas The front desk lady in the morning was just awesome (don’t remember her name 🤦🏻‍♀️)! She printed out our boarding passes as we forget to do that before we left home (We came in from DFW) breakfast was ok but everyone was nice and helpful

This hotel was clean and cheap The location is ok, but nothing is really walkable For the price it is not bad

This place is a bit worn and dated There is obvious wear and tear in the room and my hairdryer died after being on for 5 secondsIf you are going to the Houston Space Center, it is only an 8 minute driveAlso, there is a souvenir shop next door to the hotel with space stuff at 1/3 the cost of the HSC gift shopThe pool is under construction and looks like it is a ways out from being done The neighborhood is a little roughThe towels are classic for a small inexpensive hotel (think and small)Beds were comfy and the AC worked well even if it was a bit noisyThis is a good spot for inexpensive solo travel

Deven, the GM, was a great help!He offered us the cards to the two rooms we were considering so we could make a educated decision Our room was great and even included a towel animal! After we left Deven called me an said I had left a pillow! Above and beyond service! I will stay here again!

I chose this hotel solely based on the reviews and I did not call the hotel to ask additional questions Everyone was right, Deven definitely provides excellent service and that is a big plus He goes above and beyond for his guests

The location was perfect for us as it was close to Galveston, Kemah and downtown Houston The rooms were clean, spacious and cleaned daily The only thing that was disappointing was the breakfast It was not a true continental breakfast like previous comments mentioned All we had to choose from was Nature Made breakfast bars, Rice Krispy treats, fruits, juice, and coffee For the price we paid per night, I feel that it could have had more options like comparable hotels nearby I would still recommend it and consider staying there again in the future

We didn’t actually rent a room here, but we did crash with some friends It was a very nice establishment However, the reason for my review was to make management aware of a safety concern of mine

Our friend has a big truck and we tried to park in the garage It was late at night so we didn’t see any signs visible enough to state the clearance height Yes, it was right above the entrance stating 5’10″which is a very low clearance standard for parking garages is approx 98in, just over 8ft If I may suggest, The teal color you have for the clearance sign above the entrance should be in yellow and black font stating the caution low clearance It will stand out, plus its a universal caution identifier ⚠️ In addition, the yellow clearance bar should be placed on the outside of the entrance just at the beginning of the driveway It makes absolutely no sense for one to be inside the garage after one has already passed a 5’10” clearance and is now able to drive through a 6″ clearance throughout the garage In the nicest way possibleHere’s your sign! 🤦‍♀️

Remember to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙᴏʟʟʏᴄᴏm when booking your resort They compare countless hotel sites and typically will have prices a lot cheaper compared to others! You’re welcome :)! This hotel is one of the highest rated in this area

I’ve been staying here for a very long time If you decide to stay here you won’t be disappointedI had an emergency- we had to book a hotel last minute for some friends that were getting married that day Marcela, I believe her name is, at the front desk helped us get everything set up She helped us figure out how to check my friends in so they wouldn’t have to worry about an additional thing to do on their wedding day My friends had a wonderful stay 100% would recommend!

My executive room didn’t feel very executive+ Comfortable bed+ Decent view+ Clean room+ Nice staff- Dated interior- Small bathroom and shower- No couch, tiny desk- Calcified shower head and low water pressure- A/C barely worked in room (set on 68, lowest it would go is 74)- A/C out in hallways and elevatorsI would stay again but not for what I paid This is definitely not a resort, just a hotel

Depending on the price, go elsewhere

Pool area very nice! Whirlpool nice and HOT!Would definitely stay again!

This is unfortunately the worst Holiday Inn Express I’ve ever visitedUnfriendly front desk staff, massive parties in their tiny pool was left unchecked by staff, disgusting poo left uncleaned in the lobby restroom, our room was never cleaned and poorly maintained I overlooked all this, but the “breakfast”, dear lord

this was missing the most basic things like butter and just simple variety No waffles, no bacon, no choices just a very simple selection that one would find at a QT gas station I’m a simple guy to please, but even I couldn’t wait to get out of there Their printer didn’t even work to give me a receipt so I just left Way too overpriced and certainly NOT a three-star hotel!!! I think I’ll try another hotel chain next time

Very nice The room was large and spacious Everything was clean

In particular, I found the pillow especially comfortable, and enjoyed the large window in my roomI would say this hotel was worth the money
