I absolutely love this place, and I would give it 10 stars if I could We visited multiple times in the past three years, and it was awesome each time The food is delicious, the place is spotless, and the pools and amenities were top-notch

I especially loved the beach and when you’re done with that, you can use one of the multiple pools availableThe view from the balcony of the hotel is incredible It’s like you’re in a European resort but much better because the hospitality is Lebanese My favorite part of the experience at Jiye Marina was the multiple ancient treasures scattered along the place I believe there were a few Phoenician and Roman tombs and artifacts This was my favorite part of the experience because I’m a history buff and these are things you’d usually see at a museumI highly recommend Jiye Marina to friends and family and believe that it is truly one of the best resorts in the area The people are classy, it is a family-friendly place, and you have plenty of room to walk around and do as you please

One of the worst experiences ever! We went to the poolFirst, Very Bad service We ordered shisha, after waiting for 1 hour we asked and they told us they don’t have anymore So I requested to get back the money

I had to go around from person to person and they all had the same reply ( go look for the person that took the money from you)Second they deserve a zero on cleanliness, the bathrooms are super super super dirtyI bet public bathrooms are way cleanerThis was a very bad experienceI’m never coming back again

anas qutaiba

The sea view from the hotel are great and beautiful The beach is clean but on one of the sides has some rocks but it still very big so you can use enjoy the clean oneThe reason i gave 4 stars is the room are clean but not good enough regarding the furniture and the balcony

Hunadah Alhariri

Overall, very good value for money The hotel is just by the sea, and has amazing view In terms of facility and customer service, I give them 5 stars

The pool on the roof is just amazing, and the staff are so nice and helpful They can give you very good tips, and they are always very friendly! The only concern, particularly for women, is the neighborhood We went out walking and we were harassed by multiple cars, this issue could be overcome by using taxis, which are easily accessible, and can be even arranged by hotel for safetyThose who smoke shisha will be pleased to know that you can smoke on the rooftop (while in the pool), or in the lobbyAdditionally, just opposite the hotel, there is a restaurant that offers Lebanese food, with good pricesOne more plus point, in the same area of the hotel, you can do many activities, including paragliding and cable transport that takes you to one of the cities landmarks

Lauren Brush

Really enjoyed my time here! The staff are super lovely and accommodating They gave the best recommendations for nearby activities and attractions The breakfast was amazing and the views from the rooftop pool were breathtaking!! I also really enjoyed the sushi

This is a great hotel to stay if you are looking for an easy getaway It’s not a super luxury hotel, but it had everything I needed and the rooms were spacious and comfy I’ll definitely be back!

Good service, The housekeeping are very kind but they keep waking you every morning to ask if you wanna clean 😂 but it’s okay because they work in a professional way but they should respect the don’t disturb badge The rate of the room per night is higher than the other hotels eventhough other hotels have the same service the room is well equipped and good, a bit old furniture but it’s okay

The pillows are not comfortable at all The pool is beautiful, one of the bartenders is kind and the other is rude The view and the location is perfect I give it 7/10

Samar

The first 4 days I enjoyed my stay very much The hotel has a good location, comfortable beds and nice pool at the 17th floor with an amazing view Unfortunately our money 300 euros has been stolen from our room by one of the staff members

The hotel didn’t respond well on our complaint, implying we are lying about it If you chose to visit this hotel, beware of your personal belongings

From the first moment you enter this Boutique Hotel it feels amazing, you are greeted by a friendly and professional staff, as well as the great architecture that is neatly decorated and very well furnishedThe restaurant is very well managed and offers great food for those who want to dine in The rooms are very well furnished and specially spacious considering other options in Lebanon

Make sure you ask for the sea view or at least the sea view with the small balcony

Mood Bacho

Horrible management and reservations department They make you prepay your stay and then they don’t confirm your room and tell you you can use the deposit on another date You keep chasing them for a reservation until they finally tell you sorry your deposit has expired

(apparently there is an expiration date on US dollars)and I quote:”You are only allowed to book weekdays if we make an exception (our money was not good enough for the weekend)Because on weekends we are fully booked and we can’t do July because your deposit is expiredThey said: “you should follow your money, it’s not our duty to follow up with us on the reservation it’s not our money” (of course the 7 or so follow phone calls trying to get a reservation was not following up with our money)They decided t is their money now without even giving you a service in return, unless we take a day away from work and want to go and stay at their property Our $$ were already in their pocket and they gave preferential treatment for new reservations for people willing to send them more $$This Hotel represents everything that is wrong in the tourism and hospitality industry in our country: bad management, bad communication, right out insolence and disrespect, disregard to procedure and horrible guest relations

This hotel is worst hotel in Beirut And all the managers should not work in hospitality All the managers are not qualified to work on this industry

The rooms are very noisy There is a club they are renovating on the 16th floor and it’s a small hotel and you can hear it probably in all the roomsI was staying there for one month I heard other guests complaining about the noise You can always hear the room next to youI wanted to upgrade to a suite I asked them 6 times and they gave certain dates for availability I never got upgraded and I never knew why that didn’t happenThe complementary items are never placed The water, tea, coffee etc I KEEP ASKING FOR ITEMS EVERYDAY And it takes them hours to get itAll staff treat everyone bad as if we are staying in this hotel for free And for sure if they are tipped well you will be treated better This hotel has a corrupt managementThis was the worst month ever I don’t recommend anyone to stay in this hotelAnd last this hotel is not safe Some of my valuable items were stolenIf you want get robbed stay at Smallville

Dania Abu Moustafa

I visited this hotel on recommendation from a friend as I was worried about the hotels given the current situationThe hotel is good and staff are friendly The hotel has a funky retro superman theme which is cool and different

The bedrooms are clean and spacious and there were no issues with electricity which is apparently common in lebanon now The bed is comfy however only downside of this place is the bathroom is kinda small and the balconies need more maintenance Also the breakfast needs improving but all in all would go there again

NOT RECOMMENDED!! PLEASE READ MY STORY!!From one of the best hotel in town to the worst experience ever My latest booking in this hotel was awful I reserved a room 5 days prior to my stay scheduled starting 17

032022, I arrived in Beirut by night and reached the hotel at 1 after midnight and the big surprise was that the personal on the front desk informed us that there’s no booking for us and the hotel is currently full and with shameless and rudeness asked us to go search for another hotel – remember, it’s 1:00 AM! – after a long discussion he acknowledged that my reservation was canceled Who canceled my booking and why, no one knows! Later on, two of the staff in the hotel admitted that that was also the case for many other clients in the last months! The next day I tried to contact the administration and the executives (especially Mazen and Mario) but the answer was from the operator and for many times: they are currently in a meeting and one of them will contact you immediately when they are done I still didn’t get any call or even an apology! That was a nightmare and extremely unprofessional from this hotel, from now on it will deserve 0 stars for me and for many other clients who confronted the same catastrophe My last advice: DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL

Staff serving the breakfast are really unwelcoming, they even don’t reply if you say thanks Really strange to the beirut traditions I will never come back to this place for the service… really sorry

Good experience! I got the room on the 11th floor (last floor) with a big terraceOnly comment is the smell of food/cooking on the corridor of the 11th floor, which wasn’t present in other floors when i went down to check

Tawfiq Raji

Stayed here with a small group Great hotel! We stayed in a junior suite which was well laid out although a little cramped Great decor – felt very cozy and less hotel-like which was nice! Gemmayze is far enough from all the noise where you won’t be up all night, but close enough so you can wall there

Definitely one of the better hotels I’ve stayed at in Lebanon

Not sure how this is a 5 star hotel the front of house is very rude they have zero people skills the rooms are dirty every day they have new rules as to what can and can’t be done the the workers at the pool are very disrespectful and have no respect they didn’t let me take a bottle of water to the pool that I got from the mini bar by far one of the rudest reception staff I’ve seen I think I would get better service from a $20 a night hotel this place should be rated 1 star max

Julia

Apparently you aren’t allowed to bring your own water bottle into the pool area!? The security guy took mineWhile entering the pool area I was met by a guy who literally tried to rip the towel out my hands while demanding 100 000lbp Also the entrance fee is way to much in relation to what you’re getting

Also the music is very loud you can’t listen to podcast or read

Abdulwahab Nakouzi

I really wanted to love this place after all the amazing things I heard about it I was really looking forward to my stay, but the experience overall was dull and underwhelmingThis hotel is made up of three main areas only: the rooms, the outside seating area / restaurant (which is rather small and limited), and the pool

And that’s pretty much it No spa No gardens or various outdoor areas where you can enjoy the night sky or the horizon No activities Nothing However, there are lots of empty spaces that could be much better utilized, but they’re not They’re just emptyCompared to the price point, you do not get what you pay for The place is expensive for two reasons only: for the sake of just being expensive, and because the palace is a historical/heritage siteIt is worth mentioning that the historical features or architecture is nice, but then you quickly get over themThe main / head receptionist has taken a vow not to smile In many instances, he made me feel like an intruder on the site I do not remember his name; it is NOT Alaa and NOT Nabil, both of whom were just so respectful, professional, and friendly Other members of staff were more cheerful and welcomingThe waiters at the restaurant are warm and helpful Special thanks to Firas and Moneeb, both of whom were extra courteous and helpfulThe food… meh Nothing special The prices are all in dollars though I ordered the Italian sausage, and it was both greasy and salty, which is something I do not expect in a place like this The Lebanese dishes were perhaps better prepared The portions are big and suitable for more than one personThe pool area is nice and slightly wide However, service does not seem to find its way there I sat there for nearly an hour and a half before a member of the staff showed up I asked for a menu and an ashtray After receiving them, the waiter said he would be back to take my order, but he never showed upI had booked an executive room, which happened to overlook the roof, and maintenance personnel often have to fix stuff there, so I was compelled on numerous occasions to keep my curtains closed for privacy concerns To be honest, I did not feel comfortable in that room because of thisOverall, I did not feel at home here Aside from the historical status of the place (which is something I got over in the first hour of my stay), it is very difficult to justify the four stars and the price pointIn short, the place is unjustifiably overpriced, boring, and underwhelmingI recommend you stay at other much more engaging and cost-worthy places
