The staff was super friendly and attentive My Room was beautiful and very clean Room service was quick , and delicious and it was a 90 second walk to the Orpheum theater that we were in town to see a show for

I also really appreciated that the room floors require a key for the elevator as they had a convention going on and lots of non overnight traffic in the hotel I couldn’t ask for more and will definitely stay again if I come into town

Let me start off by saying, this is a really nice hotel, in a really great location It was in walking distance to many great restaurants and being able to walk right out and be at the water/terrace was very peaceful My room was clean, but the bed was as hard as rocks

It felt like sleeping on a box frame I spent 4 nights here and needless to say my body was over it by check out I think adding new mattresses would be a great touch Especially since that’s the main reason people come back to the hotel is for a good nights restBut the staff were super nice and accommodating It’s really just the comfort piece that knocked off stars

Paul Skillman

Good reviews must be fake The only good things were location and the lobby is ok looking No housekeeping during stay

Complacent Front desk staff gave me false advice sending me way out of my way (just tell me you don’t know if you don’t know) No room service available Sub-grade beds and entire place needs an update Restaurant not open past 10pm and no convenient food options after hrs 20/day parking We paid a extra for this hotel and did not expect anything extraordinary But this lacking on a basic level I hope this is not the new norm as I’d expect more out of most budget roadside hotels

Zak

I stayed at this hotel for two nights for a friend’s wedding It wasn’t a bad experience, and it wasn’t a good experience, just okay It was extremely convenient that this hotel was connected to the wedding venue overlooking Lake Monona, but that was the main bright spot

The beds weren’t too comfortable, the towels were extremely rough and felt like they’ve been used for years, some of the staff did not really know what they were doing at the front desk, and the breakfast spot onside the hotel was a rip off; they charge $15 per person to eat at their buffet, but they were regularly out of food, coffee, and hot water for tea (I had to ask to get them refilled) The food was mediocre at best Do yourself a favor and spend $15 at a restaurant in downtown Madison where you’ll get your money’s worth

Absolute gem! My girlfriend and I had an amazing stay Great staff, good rates, comfortable EVERYTHING Waking up we both remarked how well we slept

The breakfast was to die for The architecture in the first place is incredible The natural light from the skylights made it so we only had to turn the lights off for the night and then when we turned off the lights for the night we had beautiful moonlight! I very much recommend The Mansion Hill Inn!

David Stotesbery

Hosted a wedding here for a client, and it went amazing! The venue is absolutely gorgeous – every room has it’s own very unique charm It’s an old building, but they have done a fantastic job upgrading to modern amenities John and his staff are top notch as well – they work seamlessly to provide amazing service

I can’t wait to host another event at this amazing venue!

Such an incredible experience staying in such an appreciated and well-kept historical building Family breakfasts and conversations in the parlor with complimentary glasses of wine Our stay couldn’t have been more perfect! Great place to stay Amazing staff, front desk manager and supervisor are caring and engaged They go out of their way to make your stay comfortable

The food at the rooftop restaurant is great for a team outing The drinks are top notch If you have an issue ask for Shawn or Meltia I see them both as general manager material Note: just don’t get a room under the gym

Joelle Fiedorowicz

I had a king room with Lakeview and the room I stayed in lived up to that for the most part I had a view of the lake but mainly the tops of buildings as I was on the 7th floor It was very clean, bed was comfortable and the room was nice and quiet other than the slamming doors of the other rooms

Valet parking was a nice addition and affordable Didn’t eat at the hotel but the restaurant on the top floor had amazing views and the food smelled really good Great location and within walking distance of a lot of shops, restaurants, and activities Will stay again

Shaelyn Rounds

Unfortunately I’m giving 1 star instead of 4 The only reason being is I do not feel the elevators at this hotel were safe Which is the most important factor imo

My friends and I rode down to our floor (3) from the restaurant (9) and the elevator quite literally dropped us, and then malfunctioned back and forth to floor 5 and 4 a few times before opening and letting us out We were all so traumatized, I called the front desk, and immediately the employee asked if it was elevator number 3 as if it’s happened before (It was actually elevator number 1 this time)Safe to say we took the stairs Beware of the elevators for your safety!

This hotel is a nice choice on the square for anyone visiting Madison We had an excellent view from our window and being steps away from downtown restaurants and the farmer’s market was fantastic! The hotel offers free coffee, muffins and fruit in the morning before 9am, which I wasn’t aware of before my stay, but it’s great Also, the parking is only valet which costs $20/night

They are still using some COVID-specific rules at this hotel, such as not doing housekeeping in the room every day; this is actually my preference so I hope they keep doing it for the future Finally, they were amenable to splitting the room bill between me and my colleague evenly, which made our travel plans easier Overall, I was really happy with this great spot!

Nick Chill

Our Best Western Premier Park stay was great The overall hotel had a very professional feel and welcoming service The valet was very helpful and friendly

Our room was nice, but not huge We also had a small view of brick building walls The shower, on the other hand, was incredible The location was key, as we were across the street from the amazing capitol building We also enjoyed the hotel restaurant, The Post, and loved sitting next to the windows with a view of the capitol

J R

Mixed bag Hotel itself is beautiful, lots of history and the poolside room we had was very nice Minus stars because the pictures of the rooms show nice walk in showers which is not the case

A big deal for those with mobility issues The restaurant is good for breakfast(not included), but skip dinner here, overpriced, mediocre offerings Plenty of nice places within walking distance

Overall I really enjoyed my stay I was in Madison for business This location was close to where I needed to be

The price point here is amazing The staff was extremely friendly upon checking in and checking out There is free breakfast in the mornings as well The mall is close if that is your thing I consider it to be within walking distance Not too much night life around here though I will more than likely book here again on my next stopThis Radisson has strayed me away from my Go-To (Mariott)A smart key would be nice (use my watch or phone as the room key Marriott and Hilton have this feature) I could not figure out how to navigate their mobile app

Lin An

Rooms are a bit outdated and cramped feeling but was clean Bed was comfortable Hallway noise was extremely loud

Worst part was the pool There were multiple bugs in the pool area and in the pool itself Ants, millipede and some kind of beetle Clumps of hair and ants in hot tub and jets did not work either So incredibly gross We tried to leave a couple hours after checking in but couldn’t find another hotel with availability that night Was able to cancel the rest of our reservation and stayed elsewhere The lady at the front desk was very kind and understanding

Q

Arrived at the hotel and my first experience was the above exceptional customer service The lady at the front desk was very helpful and professional The hotel has a restaurant, a pool, and a jacuzzi, which are all accomodations that I like to look for in a stay

The hotel was very clean, and smelled good My room was also very clean The breakfast was simple but had everything I was looking for, eggs, and sausage I was greeted when entering the breakfast area by a friendly hotel worker The prices are way below the other hotels in the area 10/10

The front desk associate, Indra was very kind when we checked in an when we checked out She provided as much information regarding our stay a possible She was very attentive

Other front desk associates during our stay were not as attentive, they could be found outside having a cigarette or in staff Ron sitting reading or on phone or not at all We had to search for someone in order to get toilet tissue for our room as the amount on the two rolls was pretty much out The windows on right was stuck in open position add the crank seemed stripped and would not close window The sink in bathroom was extremely slow to drain I did inform front desk of these issues and did leave a note in room at check outOverall the room was nice and comfortable Selection of pillows which was very nice The room smelled fresh when we checked in which was very nice Many of neighboring rooms had pets which you could not tell as the rooms are very quiet Will return Thank you MsIndra for your kindness and professionalism

Ashley Booker

It is the staff here that makes my stay an excellent one A lot of my interaction has been with Indra who goes above, and beyond to make you feel welcomed, and comfortable; and does it all with a smile Everyone who works here is very nice

Cynthia always greets me with a smile, a wave; and often has fresh towels waiting before I even before ask for them Travis always says hello, and tells me to have a good day The housekeepers are friendly, and courteous They have a nice hot breakfast every morning The pool, and hot tub are a very nice size! In addition, they have a shuttle service for guests It is also in a nice location Thank you to all the staff for all you do!

Jen Belisle

Was charged $100 for a “cleaning fee” without consent or follow up It took three months of calling to contact manager, and he told me “you’re not getting your money back, and don’t tell me how to run my business” We are a quiet family of 5 and the room was fine

It’s his word against mine Wouldn’t stay there again for not only the fee but for the way I was treated

Wow for the price this place was amazing There was some miscommunication upon check in since we paid through the Hilton website but even with that we were still checked in in under 10 min I get the feeling they get a lot of a holes cause they were super apologetic about the situation

The pool alone makes this place so worth it if you have kids They even provide some pool toys (balls, noodles, squirrels) We didn’t try the free breakfast but pretty cool they offered that and we saw tons of people taking advantage in the mornings so it must’ve been good Our room and bed were nice and comfortable It wasn’t downtown but everything we did was within like 15 min drive Will definitely stay here on our next trip!

alyson propes

The only reason I don’t give 5 stars is because the water in the shower was dangerously hot and cold I don’t mean just annoying It took over 5 minutes of letting the water run for it to warm up, and then it went from a good temp, to painfully ice cold, and then the only way to get it off ice cold was to turn high enough that it was dangerously hot – so hot you would honestly get burned, and then turn it way back down again

It was stressful to shower and also shower my kidsAside from that, the pool was great, the breakfast was great, the staff were all friendly, the room was clean, and the price was good

I absolutely loved my stay here! Staff answered questions professionally and politely on the phone before my stay I built a very joyful relationship with all staff members during my stay I really appreciated the shuttle service to my conference in the morning

I went into the dining area to ask servers and bartenders to fill up my water-bottle which they were happy to do so The only thing to know is someone has uploaded photos of a pool on Google but this hotel does not have a pool I highly recommend staying here when visiting Madison

Mike Butler

I stayed here for 4 nights for a conference which was conveniently only a couple blocks away Everything went smoothly and my only complaints were very minorThe shower was great, one of the best hotel showers I’ve seen in terms of pressure

I would advise holding the safety handrails until you get your footing though, I almost slipped the first time I walked inI had room service the first two nights (the bistro burger from the downstairs restaurant) and it was very good The second time I got it though the bun wasn’t toasted like the first one which was a letdownI’m sure they would have fixed it though if I had askedBecause of covid the housekeeping didn’t come by unless requested, but I found there to be plenty of supplies providedThe shuttle service was also convenient to get to and from the airport John (I believe that was his name, older guy that worked at the university for a while) especially was a great driver and shared a lot of local information

Brigette Schmidt

This staff deserves 10 stars They were so lovely, kind, and helpful in every way The towels and bed linens are so comfortable and incredible! The shower was great

Everything was incredibly clean! The location is close to everywhere you want to go and the shuttle takes you anywhere with in 2 miles which is a great perk Shoutout to Matt, Sophie, and Ben who went above and beyond to accomodate us! Our room service was also delicious!

Last summer we spent a week at the Mendota Lake House with family and friends, to celebrate our son’s marriage The house was comfortable, and the gardens were stunning We loved watching the sunset over the lake, and spending time together in the common areas of the house

The rooms were comfortable and nicely decorated The location was perfect, and David and Bob were exceptional hosts Our guests all had a great “first visit” to Madison, and we made many happy memories

kristin celiceo

Stunning historic home on Lake Mendota Beautiful views from back side of home Building features original craftsmanship throughout as well as necessary updates

My room included a jacuzzi tub to relax in, as well as a private balcony with lake views Welcomed with light music to set the tone, as well as friendly, inviting host One star dock simply for the breakfast – I was hoping for a more communal gathering in the home as opposed to the light continental style breakfast

Kelly Jo Brandt

We stayed at the Mendota Lake House in mid-February and loved it The view with the large Bay windows on the first floor and to die for They have tons of seating so you can curl up and gaze out the window at the beautiful view in your own area

Rims we nice Ruth, the housekeeper/host, was extremely hospitable and great dinner great suggestions of things to do nearby It is an old house so expect some creaky floors and old heaters starting up Otherwise, the rooms were well insulated from the sound of others and the house was generally quiet (as most people we out and about)Highly recommend

Stayed here for my second time in March and my daughter’s seventh time at this hotel The hotel is so quiet and I got a good night’s sleep which is rare for me Bed was very comfortable

Very nice personable male front desk clerk Safe underground parking Coming back in June and getting 2 rooms at that time

Hannah

Very safe, quiet location Walking distance from shopping and food Rooms were clean and very nice

I would recommend and I def would stay again The only thing negative I noticed was the bathroom didn’t have a fan/vent built in Parking in the garage was an extra charge each day (which I think should be FREE for the hotel fee/stay) but I still paid it anyways and I felt it was worth it

Graham Vance

This hotel has quiet rooms, a bar in the lobby, and a pleasant staff Housekeeping is on request but the amenities in the room last a single person a week The breakfast is included and is pretty decent

There is not a restaurant in the hotel but it is located right next to a shopping complex with multiple restaurants I would definitely stay there again

Right when we checked in there was a “social hour” with food, wine and beer (spotted cow even!) Are you kidding me?! I didn’t check out the outside mezzanine area but I think there is a pool and gazebo out there? The inside pool looked amazing and I wished I would’ve brought my suit Other than the bed being ok and the original room not being cleaned (it was not on the cleaning schedule and they moved us to a new room immediately), this is one of the best hotels I’ve stayed at and in a great location on the East side

Compliments to management and staff for making our stay excellent and we’ll see you next visit!

Nice property with updated and comfortable rooms Breakfast was good with hot food options and waffles There was only one lady helping with breakfast (understaffed), but she was super friendly, kind, and helpful, working hard to help everybody

Two issues with this property:1-“Airport shuttle” feature is misleading Though the website has a “shuttle” icon and shows 7A-7P airport shuttle hours, it’s only Mon-Fri and must be requested 24 hours in advance So our “airport hotel” stay has cost us an extra $60 to/from airport and would have been better to rent a car2-Breakfast hours only through 900A Seemed like a mad rush at 855A Maybe extend out to 930A or 1000A

Evening supper on Wednesday was nice Breakfast to go worked great for our needsOur dog was very happy in the room and on a walkWe were here only overnight but would be very comfortable for a longer timeI definitely will look for Staybridge suites again

Rooms were nice The front desk was amazing However they only clean the rooms every 4 days

I can understand only changing the sheets every 4 days but to go 4 days without having your garbage emptied is a little overboard If you ask, they will have your room cleaned But for the price I paid for the room, I would expect the room cleaned daily

My friends and I didn’t stay too long, we only stayed one night for a concert but had a pleasant stay all the same! You could smell the faint scent of bleach in the hallways which tells me they’re deep cleaning and I’m very grateful for that The room itself looked brand new and was very clean as well The only issue we had with the room was the bathroom doors are barn doors

It’s a very odd choice because you can see the toilet through the crack of the door where the hinges would go if it were a normal one But if you don’t sit on the edge of the bed closest to the bathroom it doesn’t matter that much The beds were comfy as well and I liked there were outlets next to the beds too The parking garage was right next door and has a doorway on the main floor that leads right to the hotel which is very convenient When I checked out, I unfortunately am unsure who I spoke to, but the two women who helped me were incredibly friendly and one of them struck up a conversation with me about the show I went to the previous night It was a small thing but I really appreciated her interest nonetheless! If I find myself in Madison again I will definitely be back!

Rooms were very well kept and modern Everything in my room was clean when I entered I tried ordering food from the bar with cash, and somehow the employee wasn’t able to accept it and ultimately it got charged to my room

Now I’ll have to explain to my work why food was charged to my room and not paid for A simple issue will now turn into a big hassle, that is why I took 2 stars off service

A nice quiet place to stay that allows pets, and are very accommodating Asked for a room on a lower floor, only for me to decide I’d rather a bathtub-shower room on a higher floor instead of just a shower room on the lower floor and they were more than happy to oblige The pool and fitness area looked very nice and clean

The location was perfect for walking around downtown The hotel breakfast looked great, but I just had to try the marigold a few blocks away instead (they did not disappoint)Every associate I encountered at the Hyatt Place, from the front desk workers to the maintenance staff, was incredibly nice, respectful, and more than willing to go above and beyond to make sure our short stay in town was great

I decided to wait until after my trip to post this as I didn’t feel comfortable complaining about it while I was there as I was a women traveling by herself I would like to suggest that a thorough check of all the rooms are done to make sure that all of the peephole covers are working and tightened The peephole cover in my room looked like it was tampered with specifically so that no matter what I did it would not stay closed

At first I didn’t think anything of it but when I realized that the peephole in the room at the Madison has a direct view to the bedroom, bathroom and directly into the shower So scary I would not recommend any women stay there and if you do check the peephole I ended up using the do not disturb sign and sticking it in the door to cover the peephole so I felt a little comfortable but then all I could do was wonder what else was tampered with I was only there for a short time so I didn’t change hotels but I would definitely check to make sure

Pet-friendly 3-star hotel We stayed 5 daysThe last night I went to use the microwave for the first time and found two to-go containers of rotting food in it

I took them to the front desk to complain She offered me a free bottle of water No room service and no laundry on site Only 3 blocks from the Capitol, 3 blocks from a CVS Pharmacy, and 3 blocks from a downtown grocery
