An important note: you cannot lock your door Your things, and your person, will be vulnerable when you stay hereA warning for anyone with mobility issues, this place is not accessible in any way

If you need accomodations, seek elsewhere Anyone should be careful of dangerous loose rugs throughout the homeThe owner spent time trying to convince us that our planned sightseeing was “not worth doing” and that we should do other things in Marquette instead of seeing the area we traveled North to explore She also told us the cities we wanted to visit had “nothing in them”, we were treated badly when we brought back takeout instead of eating out in a restaurant, and I was bullied by her to take off my mask insideOverall very much not worth the price given all the aspects that made this place uncomfortable OH and she plays the piano 20 minutes before breakfast to make sure you are awake Rude and infantilizing

JonPaul Widby

Ornate environment, rustic and clean Full run of facilities and conveniently located between the city and the airport Daphne serves up an artful multi course breakfast

I would stay here again I have not been to many b and b ‘ s but I have traveled globally and stayed in countless pensions and hostels None come close to this level of care and attention to detail

Can’t complain this has been my go to for several years now as I travel often for work The staff is always friendly and the rooms are always clean and well taken care of They recently went through a remodel so everything is fresh

I would say overall this is a great place to stay The only thing I would say may be a factor is several business travelers stay on site rather then kids and families The pool area is nice and large and clean The restaurant is great excellent staff and really good food

Jennifer Daley

Room was beautiful, bed was heaven after such a long driving dayI took one star only because the food was soaked in salt, my chicken wrap was excellent the fries were drenched in a salt seasonings which made them inedible, burger was cooked perfect but no seasonings on it at all again fries were drenched in salt seasonings, they need to ease up on the salt and add some seasonings to the burgersThe fact they brought the food to the room was AWESOME!WILL stay again!!

Donovan Awhonopay

This hotel is very well maintained Rooms were clean As an Envoy pilot I stay at alot of different hotels

For a safe, clean, quiet place to stay for the night at a good value, this fit the bill We loved the view and although the road was in front of the hotel (55 mph) if your Windows are closed you don’t hear a thing! When my window was open… The noise from the cars just reminded me of people going on vacation traveling here and there, which was not a bother at all! Being able to see the lake and the beautiful water… Being 3 to 5 minutes from town… this place was a great place for us to save hundreds of dollars on a nights rest We we were visiting the college and this room was in a better location and cost less than the discount offered at NMU

I grew up right on lake Erie and am a person who appreciates a lake view The bike bath was right across the street Sunrises and sunsets! Some campsites tables chairs and fire pits scattered on the lawn and a pool although we didn’t use, looked nice It said breakfast but I didn’t see breakfast anywhere and we were not looking You couldn’t lock your deadbolt when you left but you couldn’t lock it when you were in there We just didn’t leave anything valuable in the room when we were gone

Mawrgyn Roper

love this place! the staff was so helpful and kind the view of the lake is awesome rooms are charming with some newer details

love that there are firepits and grills to use and the price can’t be beat would totally go backone just minor suggestion would be updating the locks of the rooms we eventually figured it out but it was kinda confusing

Julie Larson

We like to support “local” businesses and stayed in the east end, of the smaller building to the east of main building, on the second floor The room itself was very clean; the shower head took awhile to figure out The woman who checked us in was pleasant and friendly

Sunrise over Superior incredible If traffic noise bothers you, bring earplugs as you are right next to busy road Only negative is I am sensitive to artificial smells, and there was a heavy air freshener or something that got better with the window open

Nice little hotel tucked away from the road! Decided to stay here while I was on my way back to Minnesota Rooms were clean and also smelled clean!! Beds were comfy and so were the pillows! Decent size TV! Had a pretty decent selection for breakfast which was very nice! I guess the only complaint I could mention is the bathroom was extremely small! Other than that it was a great experience overall and I’d recommend it for a good nights rest!

The location was great It is before you come in to town so it is not congested But it is only like a 5-minute drive from everything in town

So it was easy to come back to the hotel frequently for things and changing There was a beautiful view just across the street of the water along the road The breakfast that is included was very convenient with lots of options It is all things you could easily take back to the room or take with you to eat on the go if you have to leave right away The coffee was really good We enjoyed the breakfastFor an Econo Lodge we thought it was nice and well maintained with that scaleThe room had about 25 flies in it when we arrived We never had any more problems the three nights we stayed with any more flies but it is almost like when they clean the rooms they leave the door wide open for the whole time they clean the rooms We couldn’t believe how many flies were in there and it was pretty disgusting at firstAlso some people of course like to sit out in the chairs in front of their room and smoke We even saw some people smoking in their rooms which isn’t allowed So we are very thankful that the room we got did not smell at allThe staff were pleasant and very helpful

Ryan MacMartin

Good location close to downtown, and dog friendly, but that’s about it The room had a musty smell and the carpet looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a long time The bed was very uncomfortable and the pillows were like sleeping on tissue paper

We woke up each day very sore from the night before Would recommend spending a bit more and staying in one of the nicer places in the area

Kristen Coston

It was about $123 for a single night stay, which was the most we spent on lodging out of the 4 places we stayed on our upper peninsula trip It was very clean but there were only 2 washcloths in the room and they didn’t tell us the wifi password until we called the front desk The tv remote didn’t really work, but we were only there to sleep

There is no elevator so you have to lug everything up the steps The location wasn’t too far from anything I would recommend Contrast Coffee co for breakfast- it is far cheaper than Starbucks, the people are super nice, and the food and drinks are fantastic, can’t wait to go back I would recommend McCarty’s Cove for swimming (there are lifeguards) and Sugarloaf Mountain for an amazing scenic lookout- the hike is about 15 minutes continuously up, but is worth it for the view and going down the whole way back

Stayed 6 nights Park is fairly quiet, one night it was a bit loud as we had some people nearby having a friendly game of corn hole after dark Park was clean, our site wasn’t very flat but overall it was a good park

We would stay again but would book sooner and look at a different site Rate was comparable to other campgrounds in the area Never used the showers as we had full hookup Everyday you had to get a wristband for the pool which we didn’t end up using

Great hotel with spacious rooms, amazing shower, and a quality breakfast included Courtney at breakfast was great along with the front desk staff including Grant and others Extended stay hotel so you have to request housekeeping but we like it that way

Real kitchen with full fridge and an actual coffee pot Beautiful lobby with common areas for TV to keep you out of the room No pool but a great gym and outdoor recreation Underground heated parking is included so you don’t have to warm up your car or walk on the ice Walking distance to the UPHS Hospital Thanks guys!

The best Hotel of its class I travel for work and this has been the best hospitality I received at a hotel Free hot breakfast with fresh cut fruit daily

Monday thru Wednesday for a Manager Special they provide appetizers and two free drinks per an adult guest Our room was very clean and the hotel is located in a nice area conviently located right next to the new hospital Its also located in the center of everything Marquette has to offer Just a walk from lake superior and beautiful downtown Marquette Not to mention the kindest staff who have went out of their way to accommodate all my needs With a special thanks to Kate I highly recommend this hotel rather it’s for leisure, work, or extended stays

Tiffany Balsitis

We enjoyed a great stay here Upon check in, Grant, the gentleman at the front desk was polite and accommodating We mentioned having teenagers with us and he upgraded our room so they had more space

apparently I had done our reservations incorrectly Our room was clean, well kept, and cozy Breakfast and nightly snacks were an awesome added bonus Our showers came stocked with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash which was a nice perk I forgot my blanket I had brought, upon check out the front desk tried to call me, when I didn’t answer a gentleman actually tracked us down to the parking garage to return it My only complaint was the in room coffee wasn’t good, but I can be picky on that so I don’t hold it against the hotelSince some of our kids live in the area, we will be back!!

This Hotel is a great option if you just need a place to sleep so you can keep going on the road the next day The room was clean (the most important factor for us) and spacious It’s in a great location, close to everything you could need and the price is reasonable, if you compare it to the other hotels in the area

The breakfast was good: cereal, milk, coffee, bagels, muffins, cereal bars, oatmeal, hot chocolate and juices (apple and orange) And they allow pets for a fee It’s a well maintained old fashioned hotel I would stay there again without any doubt Has a microwave in the room, but not a fridge, which was okay for us

Donna H

This place was the cheapest place we were able to find and was absolutely fine Not fancy, but clean, comfortable, quiet, and safe Also located near laundromat, drug store, restaurants, etc

Also near beaches and other sights we came to seeWe also found plenty of parking and a relatively decent breakfast offering (we’re happy with coffee and oatmeal)

Malcolm Jones

We stayed here on Monday 21 March and used gave our card details to use as a holding deposit We paid for the hotel with cash and we were told money back on card in next few days Several calls later and on each occasion told something different, we still don’t have our money

They said they didn’t take anything but our card statement says they have I have emailed them but they not replying I am now taking my complaint to the Better Business Bureau to see if they can resolve this issue

Best place so far in Marquette Excellent location, amazing breakfast, gorgeous views Was able to check in early

We got a king room on priceline but we ended up with a lake view so I was impressed I would give five stars but two thingsonline and on our itinerary states noon checkout but they tell you upon check in it’s 11 because of this pandemic Not cool Second, hair in bathtub and in bed grosses a person out Could have been cleaner Hot tub was great and pool small but good Loved our room view and size for the price We would definitely stay here again !

Andy Bowman

Very nice staff, friendly Great breakfast set-up Nice selection

The views out my windows are absolutely beautiful and incredible! The clouds, water and sky change rapidly 5 minutes seems like a normal hour Only thing I can say I didn’t really like was the parking It’s a little tight But this place is tucked into a beautiful spot so that’s gonna happen

Paris Henighan

Absolutely loved this hotel! There are beautiful views from the balcony The location couldn’t be better! If you want to have a couple of drinks and walk it’s close enough

if you just feel like drivingit’s close enough! The customer was AMAZING!!! I had an issue with the electronic key and they were right on it They delivered my towels to me quickly Normally going to a hotel lobby is dreadful, but no matter who was at the deskthey were all so kind!

If you get a second floor room be aware there is no elevator so only stairs and some are steep but good railings The staff very kind and friendly and available to assist There is twenty four hour available coffee and tea in lobby which is nice

The place very old somewhat run down If you really like affordability it’s a good choice but nothing really spectacular about the place could use some updating and a few more amenities The pool room is very small

Emily Parish

DANICA and JODI are the best, very great employees I stayed the first weekend in June, Was so happy and pleased with my stay for my birthday, they were so pleasant even with my wild 3 year old Possibly moving in the area so this has been such a great place to stay well I’m up there researching

Very well runned establishment, couldn’t say enough, good things Will definitely be coming back soon🙏🙂

Melissa Juntunen

Had a 2 queen room, 1 bed was a lot more comfortable (softer) than the other Fridge, microwave in room, large TV Could hear some noise from the hall but minimal

Bathroom was pretty small but it was clean Front desk staff was very helpful and nice They also offered me a reduced stay price due to a family member being in the hospital here Breakfast was traditional continental hotel food, the breakfast attendants kept everything filled Stayed here after the rain/ice storm and they did not salt the sidewalks or sand them Main parking lot is concave so very icy and also not salted or sanded, very difficult to walk around Also, no guest laundry facilities but room was clean and so was the breakfast area I did not check out the pool

Had my wedding stay here – it was incredible I had the penthouse and it was unbelievable The amenities were phenomenal! There is a steamer in the shower!!! My whole wedding party got ready with me in the penthouse and the staff was so kind and helpful

Lastly, my husband and I spent a couple days there after the wedding and had THE BEST time 10/10 would recommend any day of the week

Heather Mooney

I lucked out when the Landmark Inn was reserved for my stay while visiting Northern Michigan University Right from the airport, I was greeted by the helpful and affable staff, like shuttle Mike who picked me up at the airport in a clearly marked black SUV We had an informative and smooth ride to the hotel right in lovely downtown Marquette

Excellent location, beautiful and comfortable rooms, great bar with a view on top floor and pub (with a great weekend brunch) off the lobby Enjoyed a dinner in a private grand dining room one evening and loved all the exceptional customer service and conversations with the front desk staff Huge thanks to Dustin and Jason for helping me get everything figured out and settled in Happy to recommend and certainly will stay there again!

Ian McGhee

Experience was so-so here The Landmark is a neat hotel, first and foremost We traveled in early May 22 for a weekend away

When we checked in, we were charged $50 more than our online bill and reservation quoted, and had to ask for an explanation (it’s a liability charge for more than a few nights stay and is refundable) since none was initially provided Our room was right off the elevator, and we found through our stay that the hallway was noisy and that noise easily permeated through the closed door into our room Our room (the Dandelion Cottage) was quaint The bathroom didn’t come with hand soap and more washcloths had to be requested since maid service didn’t run for multiple night stays (no problems there) Our room was facing Ridge St, not the lake, and had some nice windows, but not a spectacular view As others have mentioned, there was no minifridge or furniture beyond a few dingy chairs and VERY soft bed The electronics were dated (the same TV I had in college 7 years ago), but that wasn’t important for our stayCheckout was fast, but I don’t think we’ll be staying here again The location is great, but the rooms are lackluster for the price being asked and the noise from the hallway through the doors into the room was annoying enough to prevent our return

I really enjoyed my stay at Superior Stay Hotel My check in was efficient and friendly The room was super clean and updated

I had a great night’s sleep due to a comfy mattress I didn’t get to check out breakfast in the morning Location is excellent too! Close to the lake and the University and restaurants and bars Honestly, you can’t go wrong staying here I will definitely make it my number one pick next time I come to the Marquette area!

Good Vibez Garage

A really nice (what I assume to be) independent hotel in Marquette Not overly flashy but clean and modern I was impressed with the preformed concrete structure they renovated

Very good deal for the price, and the front staff and breakfast staff were attentive LOVED the breakfast selection of drinks and fresh pastriesMy only complaints were that the elevator was broken, and the heat pump in the room made a lot of clicking noise and cycled often I was disappointed it did not have a constant fan setting Still, great bang for the buck I hope they keep it up

Olivia W

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel The rooms were spacious and comfortable The staff worked hard to make sure we had everything we needed

There was complimentary continental breakfast every morning including individually packaged pastries from a local shop which were deliciousWhen we checked in we were given several recommendations about what to do in the area and when we mentioned we had brought bikes with us, we were shown a shed outside that was built just to house bikes The shed was locked and had several security cameras It was very nice to be able to put our bikes in a secure place for the weekend The staff clearly take great pride in the hotel and their city and wants guests to have a great time exploring

Brand new hotel Great amenities The lighting setup is a bit odd in some of the rooms

There is a master switch that controls everything – including the bathroom lights – in the main part of the room Otherwise it was greatFabulous showersDecent breakfast (not the best but alright)Location with minimal traffic but still easily walkable to downtownAdded a couple pics of the walking trails and nearby beach

Ann Smith

Wonderful hotel and staff Rooms were clean and spacious Free breakfast is always a plus

It was well stocked with various breakfast sandwiches as well as the family favorite of making waffles with the malted batterOne thing to note is currently there is construction happening around the hotel and you’ll have to navigate around it
