I don’t even know where to begin with my dissatisfaction I booked the room based off the photo of the deluxe room online It was spacious with lots of light and even had a couch

What I got was a disappointing dark shoebox with no windows There was no outlet or charging port by the bed I had to get up and cross the room to access my phone while charging Though the AC unit worked fine, it was very loud There was a crack in the sink that made it feel neglected and shabby The bathroom was a closet with no deluxe feel The shower was bizarre and had a board missing in the floor, and the pressure was literally a drip Had to shower elsewhere There was no iron for a traveler’s wrinkled clothes The locks on the doors use old school keys, but in a more outdated corner cutting way and not a cool retro way The usage of the word deluxe is very much a misnomer The expectation set by the name of the room, the pics online, and the cost were grossly let down There was nothing deluxe about it at all Total bait and switch I’ve perhaps never felt more ripped off in my life I mentioned my dissatisfaction with the room and the concierge made no attempt to resolve the issue and just seemed offended Stay elsewhere!

I stayed at the Selina in NO for 5 days recently, and really enjoyed it I was slightly concerned reading other reviews on the hotel prior to arriving, specifically regarding the air conditioning, cleanliness of the rooms, and the hotel staff I stayed in a standard room, and the amenities listed were exactly what was provided

During my stay my air conditioning worked very well, the room was clean upon arrival, and the hotel staff were extremely nice and helpful while I was there Ultimately, my experience of the hotel was exactly the description provided on the website and looked the same as the pictures When going to this hotel you are certainly getting a different environment compared to large chain hotels, but I found this very pleasant, and the environment in the hotel was much friendlier and homey than at other hotels I have stayed at

A Mc

There is a frosted window in the shower that leads into the courtyard The entire complex could see our naked silhouettes, maybe you’re into that? There was a huge window with a light that shined brightly through the shade all night The sink is on the desk and the toilet is in a closet not comfortable for larger bodies

Towels and sheets were clean, mattress and pillows were high quality, ac worked very well Overall ambience is retro chic with exposed brick and plants everywhere Pet friendly Late night check service was excellentWould stay again Amenities for price point are satisfactory but not outstanding

Really nice hotel with beautiful interior and tech featuresWe had a fantastic huge apartment with terrace, and lots of windows, for a reasonable priceThe room had an interactive local guide with suggestions to restaurants and attractions

Super staff always helpful and smilingClose to good restaurants andSome rooms are without windowsThe pool area could need some attention

Be careful… We read previous reviews on various sites regarding extra charges which are not mentioned prior to reservations being made We read EVERYTHING and decided to book We later got an email saying they were going to charges us for our two young sons… an extra $25 a day, per day

It could have amounted to costing more than $200 extra And the charges were definitely an added charge because we listed our sons ages upon booking I will say they were nice enough to reach out and advise us of the charge prior to our arrival so for that reason I gave 2 stars Wish we could have stayed but it was pretty astronomical with the added fees

REACH PROGRAM

This place was incredible! It had a pool, gym & was pet friendly for my Rottweiler which most places are not Close to everything and really great doormen

2 bedroom apartment was perfect for me and my teenagers and the dog with plenty of room to spare My only complaints are the place doesn’t have anywhere to safely take a larger dog out to use the bathroom We were in the 4th floor and ended up having to go down through the parking garage to a back alley for him to go Secondly, the valet parking price was steep and I had to park the car myself because it’s a six speed and the guy didn’t fee comfortable driving it Otherwise, this was a fantastic experience!

Great location and value Keep in mind this is a very busy and high traffic area since it runs parallel to Bourbon Street Check in was okay; we had recently upgraded to the Ambassador status and thought we were getting the complimentary weekend night stay but apparently you have to make sure you pay in advance; learn from our mistake! Hotel itself is a bit dated

Hallway and room smelled musty; hotel seems to be having an issue with humidityone of the electrical outlets had mold forming around it, which was a bit concerning The pool is quite small and was too cold to use Never did figure out where breakfast was Otherwise, our stay was fine My husband particularly enjoyed waving to the “frat boys” in the room perpendicular to us They left their hotel room door open all the time (my guess is that they wanted to see everyone who came down the hall) My husband also delighted in standing by the door listening to the “frat boys” getting into drunken arguments with neighbors, such as one particular exchange where the “frat boys” loudly accused a neighbor of calling security on them while the neighbor accused the “frat boys” of calling security on them If you enjoy being on the sidelines of this sort of drama (my husband certainly did), you are going to have a splendid time!

This hotel lobby is beautiful, but this is definitely not a 4-star hotel I have slept on many hotel beds in my life, but this was one of the most uncomfortable beds ever Two nights on that bed, and I need a massage and a chiropractor

As a longtime IHG member, I expect certain amenities when I stay at a hotel, such as coffee in the lobby in the morning and access to a microwave This facility has neither The location is excellent if you enjoy partying on Bourbon Street Still, I opted to check out early and book with another hotel a few blocks away with a comfortable bed and the amenities that I am accustomed to in a quieter, less congested area of the city

Was even nicer than I expected Upon arrival the valet helped my girlfriend and I with our bags even though it was raining at the time and he was extremely friendly The greeting in the lobby and front desk was extremely welcoming and everyone made us feel like we were wanted there

The room was very clean and modern and felt like everything was recently remodeled which was great The shower was very nice and the bed was extremely comfortable Room service was amazing as they emptied the trash, made the bed, put fresh towels and restocked bottles of water for us every afternoon The location was also great as it was only about 10 minutes to walk to Bourbon street and pretty much walking distance to just about everything It felt like a pretty safe area of downtown as well which was nice I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting New Orleans and I would definitely stay here again if I were to go back Oh and I forgot to mention they have a super awesome rooftop bar which has great views of the downtown area

CM Pierce

The room was clean, but not as sanitized as I expect from a Hilton property Property is dated and noisy Not up to Hilton standards in my opinion

Great shower! Comfortable bed Rooms very small with no room to move* Location about 4 long blocks from trolley No clerk on duty at night Breakfast was expensive and cold (hot buffet breakfast laid out) although the variety was adequate Roof top bar had broken windows and Pub Fare is whatever they feel like fixing that day (not what is shown on web site) which is expensive, cold and they cannot even provide you with a fork Being a Hilton property I expected more Hats off to Front desk clerks Richard (he changed out room so we had more room to move around for our long stay) and Amy who were exceptional as was Carl the Concierge who were the highlight of the stay

Ashley Storm

In a city of great hotel options, this is not one of them and should be avoided When I saw the photos and literature about the hotel I was excited for our stay Upon arrival, it was easy to see that it would be nothing like the photos on the website

Considered checking out after the first night, but was hopeful it would get betterPositives: comfortable bed, great water pressure and ample spaceNegatives: the front desk staff is hit or miss, mostly miss Our first room was dirty, filled with stains and had lots of missing items We were able to switch, which helped a bit The hallway smelled of smoke/weed and we were unable to get clean towels during our stay despite asking the front desk numerous times The parking situation is different from what was communicated on the website They have valet now – i did not want to valet but the man said it was the same cost as all the garages nearby This was not true So, after a little research on SpotHero we found a garage for overnight parking and in/out privileges a block away for only $20 a night The staff, in general, was indifferent and could not be bothered The rooms and common areas were not cleanNeedless to say, we won’t be back and will be doing much more research before choosing any Hilton family hotel in the future

Beautiful property! Great location Smells DELIGHTFUL Everyone was great and welcoming

Would like to send a special shout out to Ray who went the extra mile to make sure we were taken care of with holding our bags after checkout and arranging for our transportation to the airport The coffee shop and peacock room was great Would definitely visit again! Only downside is there is no microwave in the room but other than that, no complaints

Joe M.

Nice hotel Recently renovated Staff was great, very helpful and friendly

Beds were comfortable but they’ve done this glued on wicker thing on the headboard Not the best touch Water pressure in shower was also very low No coffee maker in the room but you can go down to the coffee shop for complimentary black coffee This seems pretty standard with Kimpton and Covid Peacock room had great drinks! Location of this hotel is also good for exploring as you are walking distance to both the French quarter and garden district

Star Thomas

This hotel is cool From the check in experience the staff showed professionalism and kindness Which is important to me

They informed me of everything the hotel had to offer and surrounding businesses that I could possibly need Inside they had a nice restaurant/bar Also a coffee shop called “The Gospel” This hotel actually made my stay in NOLA really great

I enjoyed my stay for the most part However, my room stayed hot Air seemed to only work during certain hours of the daytime

There was no spa and no access to the pool There were several conferences going on at the same time and it seemed that most everyone was enjoying themselves Right now, you need proof of your COVID vaccination to get into the hotel restaurants, but you have to show proof of vaccination to check into the hotel So, there’s that We did not know we needed proof of vaccination to even check in Glad we had it There were 4 different charges for valet parking I believe 3 of those were different types of taxesThe saving grace was that the food was good Everywhere we ate in the hotel, the food was good The service just depended on who you got and when BTW, if you go to the 8 Block Cafe for breakfast, do NOT leave the serving utensils in the food That’s unsanitary Put them back on the plate in front of the chafing servers That was a point of contention for the young lady trying to keep that area up We got fussed at and we had JUST walked up But, it’s true You spoil the food that way But WE didn’t do itThe hotel is close to the Dome and the Smoothie King Center There is a bit of a walk to the Quarter

Craig Prater

Stayed here recently while in town for a wedding First, note that this hotel is always busy, as they are usually hosting multiple events at the same time Check-in was quick, but valet service can take a while, depending on time of day

The Regency Club wasn’t open, but for that inconvenience, we got a daily $50 credit to use anywhere in the hotel, in addition to free breakfast each morning, since we’re Hyatt Globalist members Also, we liked that breakfast was served until 12pm, unlike most hotels that shut it down at 10amWe got upgraded to a junior suite, which still wasn’t that big, but I will say it was a good use of space Our room was in excellent condition, contrary to what other review say We couldn’t get the thermostat to adjust the temperature to what we wanted, so we had to alternate just turning it on and off throughout the day, due to it blowing so cold The bed was extremely comfortable, one of the best hotel beds I’ve ever had, and the bathroom had adequate space Note that there is no automatic room service unless you’re staying at least three nights Otherwise, you have to call & request room serviceThe hotel is huge and has over 30+ floors, so there are plenty of restaurants & bars inside Bartenders were great Restaurant food was average to me, and for that price, I’d advise you’d be better off getting food at any of the great nearby restaurants The hotel is right on the steps of the Caesars Superdome & just a few steps further from the Smoothie King Center Both very short walks Lastly, the hotel is about a 12-15 minute walk to the French Quarter, and it’s right on the trolley line which will take you around downtown and to the French Quarter as well

Tramayne King

This hotel was close to so many food options Even had a great variety of food options within the hotel Parking choices were to have valet for $40 a night or park in the garage connected to the hotel for $25

The rooms were beautifully laid out We loved that it came with large bottles of shampoo, conditioner, and body wash My bed was soft and clean Even had a coffee maker with individual pods The hotel itself is vast can be confusing to get around but it is so pretty you don’t mind being a little lost sometimes The pool was clean but always so crowded I believe it is shared with 2 other hotels I went in the morning which seemed to work out but any time after it is very full Out my window view was the dome which was amazing to see

Had a great experience at Hotel Monteleone The rooms were spacious and very clean The interior was very charming

Rooms weren’t cleaned everyday but they did stop by and asked us if we needed anything I don’t know if it was a nightly thing but they came by for a turn down and left us some new robes and chocolates on the bed I thought that was cute! It was my wife’s birthday and they dropped off a bottle of iced champagne so we were able to enjoy that as well! There was a doorman, I wish I knew his name that was so sweet and kind and really worked those doors well without missing a beat I feel the hotel was in a great location and was in walking distance of most places we went to The carousel bar was very neat and so was the rooftop pool Staff was always so kind I would definitely stay here again in the future!

Don’t forget to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏᴄᴏm when booking any stay This website will compare thousands of booking web sites and typically will have rates much cheaper than others! Thank me later on! This hotel is the best rated in this area

I’ve been coming here for a long time If you stay for a few nights you for sure won’t be disappointedMy wife and I enjoyed a night here and wished we could have spent more time in this luxury hotel Located a block away from Bourbon street, it made for an easy visit to the French quarter We were able to see a lot of the area for our short stay The room was luxurious with a comfy bed and soft linen The Carousel bar made for a perfect spot to start and end the night with tasty cocktails and live music We will definitely stay here again if we find ourselves in New Orleans again

Savannah Morton

I was so excited to stay here I was unfortunately disappointed with my stay Let me start with the positives though

Great location, amazing valet service and the staff were mostly very nice Henry helped us with our bags and was incredibly professional! The cleaning people also did a great jobThe room was a lot smaller than I’d imagined for the price and it was SO hot no matter how low we put the A/C We were miserable The bed always felt moist and sticky I was so uncomfortable The pool was nice but it was so small and cramped Honestly, I was expecting more I read the other reviews and didn’t get the same great experience as others I would probably stay somewhere else next visit

Lady at front Courtney was so nice and inviting She made us so comfortable She let us check in early and gave us a upgrade second night with a balcony

Amanda at the bar made us some killer good long island teas The trolley stops at your front door everything is close walking distance Perfect location and far enough away from bourbon so you get quite sleep We definitely will be back

Betsy MM

A colleague and I were in NOLA for a conference and landed at this hotel due to rates being incredibly reasonable for a five night stay It is centrally located, super walkable to just about anything and we loved that a Starbucks, Cafe Beignet and the Trolley stop were just steps awayThe front desk staff are ALL incredibly friendly and welcoming

Even with navigating a slew of check-in’s they were all very pleasant I have status with Marriott, so I was able to check into my room at 2PM My colleague was not able to check in until roughly 4:30PM so be aware of the 4PM check-in I imagine if they are short staffed, like the rest of the planet, that would account for even the delay in getting in your room by 4I had a King room, that was plenty big, clean and well decorated with everything in working order My sleep quality was amazing, the AC worked great and the beds/pillows were dreamy My colleague did mention that his room was much smaller than mine, but comfortableWe had a drink at the bar one evening that was deliciously made; plenty of signature NOLA cocktails to choose from We were in and out of the hotel over 5 days and never had any negative experience I would absolutely stay at this hotel again!

Brittany Bowers

Great water pressure and temperature in the shower for those late night showers after Bourbon St Pretty good selection in the market shop in the lobby Didn’t try the on site Bistro or Starbucks while visiting (always woke up too late or arrived back in too late lol) Friendly staff

Shout outs to the night shift front lobby receptionists for being available to let me shop for a late night snack Housekeeping was fantastic as well Room was clean for our 4 night stay

On our first visit to the French quarters, we was looking for a place near the quarters and had the timely building We was most pleased with the beauty of this place Along with timely architecture, the rooms where nicely updated but not with a reto modern style which was pleasant

Staff was very helpful with directions around the townONLY con is the parking much like the rest of the French quarters there parking garage is cramped do not recommend driving a large vehicleI would and will be staying here again Definitely recommend!!

Alecea Howell

We had a great experience at this hotel The staff was friendly, the complimentary breakfast was delicious (good seasoning which doesn’t always happen), and the room was comfortable It was a nice location and the courtyard was great for morning coffee

It was within a 10-15 minute walk to Bourbon St, which was close enough to not be a terrible walk, but also far enough from the noise and crowd It was also within a 10-15 minute drive to the cruise ports for anyone staying in town for that reason I would definitely stay here again if I ever find myself in the area!

Location is prime it’s close in walking distance to everything, We had5 rooms, The 2 Housekeepers that we had were very friendly the front desk was very friendly the hotel manager was very friendly Our bathroom had pieces of rolled up toilet paper everywhere, there were dirty towels still left in the bathroom that smelled like urine, The rest of the room seemed to be pretty clean just the bathroom was overlooked a bit The floor that we stayed on, the soda machine was stopped up you couldn’t get your drinks out, But they did tell us to come down the next morning and they would give us a refund

The view out the window is beautiful the room itself is very pretty nice bed comfortable mattress nice pillows and sheets So overall it is a nice place to stay there was just an overlook in our bathroom, Can’t be perfect all the time, But it wasn’t bad enough that we wouldn’t stay again!

Remember to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏᴄᴏm when booking any room They compare countless hotel sites and typically will have rooms a lot cheaper compared to others! Thank me later on! This hotel is one of the most well known in this area

I’ve been staying here for years If you stay for a few nights you won’t regret itThe suites are spacious with a separate living room and bedroom King size bed rooms are great also with a good amount of lounging space Extra chairs and couch with a fridge and iron included Separate shower and deep bathtubs And the casino is right there next to it!

Shauna Smith

One of the worst experiences I ever had staying at a hotel!!!! 5 of us ladies were there this past weekend and it was terrible!!!! First, they gave us a room with 1 queen size bed when it was suppose to be 2 queen size beds We get to the room and they provide us with this dirty roll away bed To make matters worse, the room was dirty from pillows to sheets

On top of that, we had no face towels to wash our bodies with only big drying towels When we requested more towels, meaning face towels, they brought us even more big towels The room was freezing as well which made us all sick!!!!! The next morning we spoke with Mark (very nice staff) who upgraded our room We also received face towels as well However, on Monday morning, we woke up to having no hot water We called the front desk and they did absolutely nothing about it So we had to take showers anyway Terrible experience I would not recommend anyone to stay here

I’m only writing as good because I had somewhere to lay my head at night I’m a Hilton lover and honestly thought from the images, this would come close When I checked in I got a letter saying water would be shut off for maintenance from 4-7 am

Peak times for those who get up for work right Then I was told house keeping services were limited due to Covid When walking around the floor (11th) I noticed how dated the carpet was that it was lifting up which could cause a trip hazard The gym was nice however and well equipped If you hungry while staying here, please take the time to eat somewhere else The restaurant downstairs is very very expensive and quality sucks If you enjoy old grease flavor eat there I’m really surprised that this hotel didn’t offer complementary breakfast at all Took me two days to get a mobile key after visiting the front desk 3 times Im really upset that I ordered food from downstairs but had no microwave to heat it up

Beautiful accommodations, bar & pool area Stellar, personalized & fast service – every staff member we interacted with (including Kevin & Jeffrey) was kind & thoughtful Also loved the welcome king cake & constant communication from staff prior to a d during our stay

I wish my actual bedroom at home was as lush as our room was – the French doors, high ceilings & beautiful vanity area were highlights Great location as well We will definitely recommend NOPSI to others

Jon

Absolutely loved our stay here The place is beautiful, room was ample (huge bathroom) and we felt like we were experiencing a real piece of New Orleans history The pool and bar were amazing and we spent as much time up there as we could

Above all else was the service – the drinks and the local recommendations made the trip! Thanks to Benny, Kevin, Tara, Paul and David (for the amazing Rasberry Gin Fizz!) Everyone was so great, including Maria, who kept the pool area clean and always had a smile Wouldn’t dream of staying anywhere else when we come back

I really liked this hotel- it definitely exceeded my expectations The lobby area and bar were fun with a quirky yet welcoming vibe-when we checked in you can tell that the guests there were definitely enjoying their stay and we were met with friendliness and a party atmosphere-the room itself ( which was a spacious suite) was quiet and well appointed- the only thing missing was a hook in the bathroom to hang a towel on and also a rubber bath mat for the tubBed was super comfortable and I really have no complaints

In fact I was so surprised to find out that a bountiful breakfast including hot items and huge bakery fresh muffins was includedI have been to many different hotels in Nee Orleans but I think I just found my new favorite-I will be back!!!

I will admit my wife booked this location I used to travel a lot for work and stayed at the big national chains Since this was a birthday trip for her I let her choose

She did her research and picked out a great property Nice old school vibe Marion who greeted us and was our go-to person for our stay was excellent Top notch restaurant recommendations, made sure we had transportation set up to go back to the airport on Monday Room was spacious and clean Love the little touches like a record player and jazz records in the room Had a blast at the bar each evening The young ladies that were bartending were a blast and mixed some excellent cocktails We would definitely return!

This gorgeous hotel with large suites, was a good choice Although I travel with cleaning supplies, I was extremely disappointed to see a used bar of soap and a bottle of shampoo still in the shower These two things let me know that I needed to sanitize and wipe down all the surfaces in the room

Hotel staff was very pleasant, but masks were not worn by front desk staff, another disappointment Other than that, I had a fairly pleasant stay

This was a birthday celebration trip for my husband! The room was very spacious and clean The bed contributed to a good sleep along with the libations and chicken from across the street It is within walking distance of Canal St

(block away) restaurants on the same street, Bourbon and Outlet Mall to just name a few It cost us $33 for parking a night valet is a couple $ more The customer service was excellent they called to check on us That was a first from any hotel we’ve stayed at We weren’t fans of the shower it was a half glass meaning only covering the front part of the shower on the side So water is likely to get on the floor There’s a lot of foot traffic well until the early am It wasn’t bothersome for us because we know people are there to have fun and we were still able to sleep The chicken across the street at Brothers needs to be worldwide Every night a long line Fresh and hot right out the fryer The best $249 for 4 days and 3 nights I’ve ever spent and the husband approved! We had a 3rd floor corner room

We stayed in a 2 bedroom signature suite for 7 days 6/26 – 7/3, it was an excellent space Very spacious, clean with several amenities Our check in didn’t go smoothly the first impression from the front desk wasn’t great

There was significant improvement as staff changed after our first day I want to talk about Miss Sue she loves her job and it shows She was so helpful and welcoming Always greeted us with a smile and kind words Miss Sue helped us thru out our stay with whatever we needed from restaurant suggestions, directions, rides she even wiped the rain off my poncho so that when I took it off I wouldn’t be soaked Miss Sue is a great asset to this location I have never experienced such consistent customer service from 1 individual Thank you again Miss SueAlso the location was convenient for everything that you may want to experience while visiting Nola Bourbon St was literally 1 block up the street as well as Canal St

My husband and I had such a great time staying at this resort From the Valet, to the check in process – we were very impressed with the customer service excellence provided by all employees! Hands down, one of the best places to stay when visiting Nola Super modern and clean rooms to begin with – in addition to it being a centralized location

If you’re looking for a place that checks all the boxes look no further

The positives: Great location, close to Bourbon Street, but quiet location Staff helpful and friendlyThe Negatives: Small size rooms

Bathroom is tiny The breakfast is very basic and hardly any warm items Bartender has no idea on how to make common local drinks No communication between front desk and housekeeping staff Cleanliness is sort of mixedA poor value for the price paid

Jon D

This was a great hotel stay! My hotel was clean and very comfortable The location is great as you can walk to everything in minutes When you go be sure to ask for Karma at the front desk! Karma is the best customer service agent by far

She made sure my stay was perfect and assured I had everything I needed Travel has never been this easy

Vanesha Allen

This hotel was absolutely perfect! I was there for a girls trip, the staff was friendly and the room was well kept On our second night it was raining so we didn’t leave to do anything, so we decided to eat at the bar down stairs Hats off to the chef because our food was delicious

The only complaint I have is that vents need to be placed in the restroom because in me taking hot showers, the steam set the fire alarm off twice Other than that there is not 1 thing that I would change about my experience
