Super cozy! Nice breakfast in the morning to get you going So close to the beach! A truly great experience I will definitely be coming back to this property Made my trip to Miami Beach stress-free and quite enjoyable!

Ed

Great hotel: location and customer service could not be better I would stay again in a heartbeat Staff – from front desk to breakfast to cleaning – was friendly and deserves an 11/10 for their customer service

The hotel offers towels for the beach, which is right across the street We were able to leave our bags with the front desk on our last day before our evening flight The only possible negatives were the lack of a microwave in the room and the difficulty of opening room doors (main door and bathroom) 5 stars!

Christopher Nichols

The staff was excellent, going beyond our requests to deliver a fine customer experience Room was clean, and comfortable with fridge and good shower head Included breakfast was good with fine options

Short, easy walk to the beach Pool and pool area were clean and convenient Attached pizza joint was delicious and had attentive staff

Xander Puelcoejpín

I honestly expected Generator would be too good to be true for a hostel but I was pleasantly surprised and I’m glad I stayed here Everything looked brand new and clean, including the rooms The check-in/check-out process was quick and the amenities looked very pretty

Great localization right in front of a bus stop So far this is the best hostel I’ve ever stayed at Be sure to book direct for no billing surprises Highly recommended if you’re visiting Miami, it was an unbeatable deal compared to other stays in the area!

Chris Vassallo

My wife and I stumbled upon the generator hotel last minute , and we’re glad we did Hotel is very modern and clean There’s plenty to do around the hotel and surrounding areas

The location is perfect to the beach Complementary beach towels and bikes if you need them The hotel staff was amazing , very attentive and helped us out with our room We will be staying here again when we come back to Miami

Gordon Landry

The hostel was clean and comfortable The pool area was not packed and was decent However, the shared dorms did not have shampoo/conditioner/body wash despite the advertisement that “toiletries” are included

It only contained hand soap by the sink and they were selling the others at the front desk The room was pretty small with no where to really sit besides the bed but otherwise not bad Also, the bed was kinda noisy, as I could hear basically every time the person on the top bunk moved For the price, it is a decent place to stay while in Miami Beach

I had a spectacular experience at the Ritz in South Beach! The employees are taught very well and are attentive and go out of their way for you! It makes such a huge difference when people do their job well!!!! Also the hotel after the renovations is clean and modern and a perfect place to hang out! Really well air conditioned, always smells nice inside The restaurant by the pool has amazing food and is beautiful The pool service was amazing, drinks were perfect and again, the STAFF was 10/10!!!! I will 100% return here, in fact, I can’t wait lol! Good Job, Keep it up!!!!

Lana Shuris

What an amazing experience beginning to end! We were greeted with helpful staff who brought our luggage to our room and set us up with lounge access for meals and drinks for the duration of our stay We loved the easy pool and beach access with unbeatable service The lounge was lovely, serving the best cocktails and food

We were chatting with one of the lounge managers about our flight schedule, and he offered us complimentary late checkout so we would enjoy the last day of our trip Blown away You get what you pay for at the Ritz and we are looking forward to be back soon!

Brook Kelly

The grounds, especially the pool and beach location were great The rooms were lovely However, the level of hospitality I’ve come to expect at a Ritz Carlton property was not up to par

Service at the pool, restaurant and front desk were below the standard of other Ritz Carlton properties where my family and I have stayed in the recent past Staff were not attentive, well informed about what the hotel offered, or especially friendly While the pool itself was great, my family and I would likely stay at Loews South beach next time where the service is more professional My family and I have depended on the Ritz Carlton brand to ensure we will be at a hotel that’s hospitality matches it’s prices Sadly, that was not the case at Ritz Carlton South Beach

My father and i stayed here a while ago We are from Australia and were on holidays for the Super Bowl Yes two years ago! The Delano ended up taking a hefty bond from our family which was fine

When we left the accomodation we left our room in a very tidy condition We then flew home to Australia emailed the Delano management to follow up our deposit to be advised we never stayed at this accomodation and wouldn’t refund our deposit We felt this was behaviour was very poor They are happy for us to spend large in their pool bar but once checkout took place they didn’t want to know us and stole our money Since our stay we have tried to make contact with this hotel with no response

Angela Castro

I was invited to the Beach club back in early March before the pandemic for a concierge event & had amazing time! The food was delicious, the DJ was playing hits & the drinks were well crafted The atmosphere was fun & I loved the chic decor Most of all the staff were very attentive

Would definitely recommended visiting this location to my guests & residents 🙂

Great hotel/location Less helpful staffGreat location, modern rooms, and a nice pool area

Overall nothing bad to say about the facilities (we didn’t dine in but it looked great) Was there for 7 days and didn’t get tired of the roomDrawbacks: Will echo others on noise You will hear your neighbors Not a big deal as we were there for a weekday conference but I imagine it would be pretty bad during the weekend if people were partying Beds were also just average Also no heavy curtains so you will wake up with the sunStaff: Cesar was great and helped out when the hotel had double booked our room but daytime staff was pretty lazy and didn’t do simple things like bring up a coffee pod or help out with luggage and generally had an attitude like she didn’t want to be there Get staffing right and it will be top notch

Sabry Sabouni

Location is amazing, room is clean, staff are very welcoming, specially at the receptionFood is super delicious and lot of dishes from different cuisine in the menu

I like also the services at the beach, the guy Luck is very kind and friendlyThe only thing that I didn’t like is the AC It is hard to adjust the AC temperature, so it it either very cold or fan only, and it is very noisyNot all Gym machines work Only two out of four workAll in all, I recommend Berkeley Shore Hotel, and I will stay in the same hotel if I come back again to Miami

Imaan

We had a great stay here while in Miami The location is truly excellent, in the heart of South Beach, rooms are clean and updated with timely daily housekeeping We also took advantage of beach access through their partnership with the Loews hotel across the street

If you are looking for an amazing hotel lobby or vast amenities, this is not that If you are looking for a clean, simple, boutique-type hotel in a central location, then this your place

NOAH

The Standard Spa in Miami Beach is a beautiful oasis and somewhat of a hidden gem in Miami Beach My only reservation in writing a review is that part of its charm is that it remains undiscovered by the masses and feels like an intimate and relaxing playground even on its busy daysIn writing this review I must mention two of its most valued and thoughtful employees by name, Taryn and Oscar

Taryn is The Standard’s director of guest experiences and goes above and beyond every day to make hotel guests and members feel like family Her kindness, attention to detail, and consideration in all of her interactions is second to none Every single encounter with her leaves you with a smile on your face and the feeling that she truly takes pride in her ability to make your day an even better one She is a wonderful person and The Standard is incredibly lucky to have her in their employOscar is the pool manager and his incredibly boundless energy and dedication is seen and experienced by all every minute of the day He never stops moving through sunset and is incredibly attentive to every situation and aspect of his position His managerial excellence with the staff is evident every single shift and he has a genuine concern for each and every guest and member as well He juggles many roles poolside and is as likely to correct any issue personally as he is to help his team improve He has been a staple atThe Standard and has been loved by all who visit for as long as I can remember He is truly a gift and genuinely as kind and thoughtful as anyone I have ever metAs The Standard moves into its bright future under new ownership I hope that it retains the magic it has always created for every visitor and that these two gems are a major part helping create the excellent guest and member experiences it has become known to provide2022 may be The Standard’s greatest year filled with many beautiful updates and carefully considered improvements throughout its beautiful South Beach home A home you simply have to visit to believe is real

Lisa Woodard

So fun!!!! NOT KID FRIENDLY! The spa is spectacular and co-ed the coffee bar was amazing Good by the pool was so yummy!! They brought water the moment we sat down! One complaint was the smoking

Cigarettes and weed EVERYWHERE I felt like I was going to get a contact high from the joints being smoked at the pool

Anna Wright

I love The Standard hotels generally, but this is a whole vibe A great place to have a good time but equally a real haven from Miami Beach madness You can easily and happily spend full days here

Staff are super attentive and helpful, views are great, the gym is massive and ending the day with a drink by the fire pit in the garden is delightful Think I’d like to move in

Vedrana Mijatovic

The hotel was phenomenal It actually felt like a resort The location was great, walking distance to all the major areas

The staff was very accommodating and welcoming It’s clear that the staff is trained a certain way to provide the upmost experience for the guests Alex (pool bar manager) went above and beyond to make this trip a memorable one His work ethic shows how passionate he is about his job Not to mention the staff at the beach It’s amazing to watch those guys run around in that kind of heat! The rooms were very clean, and housekeeping was great Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in a luxury place It was worth every penny! Will definitely be returning!

Michelle Lee

The stay was nice, the pool staff was friendly and the rooms were clean, until there was no hot water in the rooms The hotel knew of this issue, did not tell the guests (even with their text message system), and when I called front desk she said it was an issue with a vendor and no ETA on the fix She could not care less

Her manager offered two solutions (to pack up my entire family and move to the other tower?! or take my toddler at bedtime to shower at the spa at the other tower?!) that did not work for me and said he’d call back when it was fixed He also said they were notifying guests by putting a letter under their doors (of all rooms in their main tower… sure…)I did not receive the aforementioned letter or phone call I did receive a small credit to my resort fee at check out the next morning after I said they provided BS next steps I can’t believe a hotel of that size doesn’t have any action plan or compensation plan for a major issue like NO HOT WATERHope they don’t reply to thank me for the review to help them grow/improve rather spend the time being more proactive with their guests instead

Jara Schnyder

This is one of the few kid friendly and family friendly hotels in Miami beach However, even here the party crowd obviously is favored The pool closes early

around 5pm, so does the beach (chairs and umbrellas) I’m not sure why The food options for dinner inside the hotel are pretty much only room service We ate in the hotel restaurant once for dinner and had to wait an hour until our food arrived In the meantime they dimmed the lights and turned up the volume so my kids got cranky and I did not even have the opportunity to finish my dinner myself The rooms are rather small but that’s fine if you spend most of your day anyways outside There’s no kid friendly menu for the pool side (except for usual chicken fingers etc) or beach as you have to go inside the hotel for ice cream or similar Also upon arrival we were not shown around and felt treated rather second class The location is beautiful though and i still prefer staying here than many other hotels Overall for the 5* rating i must say it’s the details that are missing No evening room prep, no welcome gifts, no high end toiletries, no extra toiletries, cheap toilet paper, no bath robes, no show around in the beginning, no intro to spa or amenities, the furniture a bit run down no complimentary water or snacks, there’s really that extra touch missing It’s a fancier holiday inn

All stuff members we met are super nice Always with a smile and a free water bottle to giveLocation is great

It’s very close to everything yet very quietThe room was nice and clean There was one issue, that A/C fan was blowing too strong directly on the bed We ended up turning it off and opening the window It was November so the weather was very nice

tawny brown

Had an amazing experience at Pestana SB Got the hotel early expecting to drop off the car and baggage with valet/bell and was able to get a deluxe king upgrade and get into the room early Very large room with king bed, sofa sitting area, decent sized bathroom

Bell brought up our bags from our car, gave us a bottle of wine and two complimentary drink vouchers for the bar The service the whole trip was very great! All of the employees we had helping us went above and beyond The locations was within walking distance of the beach, with loungers and umbrellas provided per the hotel We were also very close to Collins Ave and the large variety of shops, bars and restaurants in that area A few minutes walked to Ocean Dr Would stay again and would recommend any time!

Jesse Swiechowski

Great service and friendly people! The room wasn’t anything special, but it certainly got the job done on our 5 night vacation Staff was very nice and cleaned our room when requested Valet service was $40/night and is a must have when there is barely any public parking around the hotel

Everything that makes South Beach awesome was within walking distance We loved the location of the hotel!!

I stayed here with my daughter for 4 nights My daughter was working during the day We were in a one-bedroom suite

The hotel is clean Staff is nice Valet parking was convenient The biggest disappointment for me was the dining and bar The food is “heat in a microwave” type The bar was not a very popular place in the evenings It was just ok The rooftop pool has a nice view, but there is no food or drink service there This is a place to stay if you do not plan to spend any time in the hotel It’s great for dropping off your stuff and heading out

Paul Lindsey

Update: Here’s the thing to their canned reply I’m still staying at this hotel and despite them saying they want to make it right, they haven’t done anythingLong time Marriott rewards member and honestly, this has to be one of the worst Marriott’s I’ve stayed at

For the far more expensive price compared to neighboring hotels, room service is every other day, rooms are indeed very noisy both during the day and night The intro name on the TV wasn’t mine, and I’m still wondering whose room I have Omar, if you see this, I’m sorry I seem to have gotten your room Elevators are slow and never quite level with the floor itself One elevator seems hell bent on closing on you as soon as it opens The pool is okay, however getting to it requires either luck or skill to get the one single elevator that goes there Two sets of stairs makes it up, but there’s no door handle on the inside on one and the other is hard locked shut Front desk staff couldn’t be less bothered by you trying to check in or welcome you as a status member They mechanically welcome and greet you even if you’ve just simply walked out front for less than a minute Mobile key doesn’t work for the doors, despite the front desk believing it does

Nina Lemons

Very nice staff, allowed us late checkoit and watched our luggage while we did a little shopping before going on our cruise Clean rooms, very cold av and comfortable beds We will stay here again

Thanks Victor Tally for your kindness,Thanks,Lemons Family

ProsNice and comfortable dorm room for a couple of nights Pool area is also very nice

ConsThought that it was a bit weird to not have any drinking water available for guests all day until the bar opens at 5pm So if you’re hanging out by the pool you have to walk to the supermarket to get water Surely it wouldn’t be a big deal for them to have a water cooler?I guess it is!Found the staff generally pretty moody and unfriendly, except for Evan He was super friendly and chatty The others were notIt was also pretty disappointing to be moved on from our sun loungers or table by the pool each day, because they have people come in from outside the hostel and they want the space for themSo regardless that we’re guests staying in the premises, we still got kicked offNot coolOverall, I wouldn’t rush back

André Jetzlaff

Decent value for money if you prefer a more social experienceDorms and bathrooms are clean and convenient enough The location is great with the beach, restaurants and a grocery store nearby

There is absolutely no kitchen whatsoever to use whereas most of the area turns into a restaurant/bar in the evening Thus rooms on ground level tend to be fairly loud

Danielle Higgins

First time staying in a hostel so my review may not be correct The bed was comfy The weekend I came to Miami was extremely cold and the rooms were freezing

I understand its bare minimum but no full size mirror in the room Also no washcloths provided please bring your own I felt safe Met a ton of people Will try other hostels in the future

Hotel has every you need on site Coffee shop, restaurant, pool, beautiful outside garden/ lounge area, direct beach access Staff was amazing from the front desk to valet They held our bags free of charge so we could pack in one last fun filled day before our flight We got a great deal booking direct I will definitely be back

Adonis Graham

I didn’t stay at this hotel, but I did stop in a grab a day pass with a couple of my friends while we waited for our place be readyThis was perfect for what we needed at the time They have a few options that included the day pass for access to the amenities by the pool, a beach pass that included the same offer as the day pass and access to a couple things at the beach

There were a couple room packages as well for anyone looking for home base if you don’t have a room on south beach or are waiting for yours to be ready Very affordable for the convenience Being able to drop my bags off for a few was a major plus This is a very underrated featureAs far as our experience, it was great in the time that we were there We were welcomed with open arms from Adam the bartender soon as we sat down at the pool bar Adonis, the bar manager, accompanied him later behind the bar and was very welcoming as well It was also great to meet another Adonis in the service industryA must stop if you are on the beach Sometimes it can be difficult to find quality service on the beach, but this venue has a great team from what we experienced

The Edition is an amazing hotel on several fronts We will definitely be back and highly recommend for anyone looking for a 5 star experience on Miami Beach The location is perfect and the property is luxurious, but the biggest differentiator for this hotel is the staff

Every single staff member was courteous, helpful and went above and beyond – we didn’t have one negative interaction the entire week They were also so welcoming of our dog and even knew her on a first name basis by the end of the weekend Keep up the great work on hiring such a fantastic, pleasant staff!

Just returned from a five night stay The hotel, wow, just awesome – the restaurant, the facilities… all five star I stayed in the penthouse and it was incredible

What made this seven star though was the service I had the pleasure of meeting the hotel manager, Chris, on my first night and he made the stay out of this world The best service I have ever received and I travel a lot He could not do enough to make our stay incredible From Fernando to all of the other staff, just first class service Chris, I’ll be seeing you again very soon! Sad to say I couldn’t wait to leave! The noise from the road outside with cars/vehicles driving up and down is too muchMoved rooms and it was the same more towards the back of the hotelThe hotel is noisy

Can hear people in the next rooms It’s a nightmareNo carpets in rooms except a little bit of rug round the bed, so the noise travels wellIf you’re drunk I’m sure it’s a great stay, but not everyone is here drinkingThis is not a 5 star hotel at allLovely decor, friendly staff but if you want to actually SLEEP, choose somewhere elseI’m exhausted from noiseDefinitely never again

Overall excellent service by the staff and nice accomodations I have a few comments/considerations to take into account 1

They pump a fragrant smell into the lobby and hallways As someone who’s sensitive to smells it gave me a headache, however many might enjoy it 2 With only 1 elevator working, the other one is very slow 3 The $22/day resort fee is a joke The options are limited and this isn’t a resort worthy of the charge, it’s a money making thing only 4 While there’s good breakfast options, limited egg or options with egg, which is a staple breakfast at a Residence InnMy comments are just my opinion and take, still really enjoyed the stay and great service and nice size rooms I’d be back still

I rarely, if ever write negative reviews because things “happen” and I understand that reality That said, in my >50 mights at Marriott this year there is no doubt that our experience at the Residence Inn South Beach is the absolute worstWhen I called the day prior to arrival I inquired about using one of our suite upgrades

We were told our room would have a nice balcony but the assigned room did not – and the room was handicap accessibleThe amenities were a joke For the mandatory $22 resort fee guests are entitled to a shuttle to the beach, use of up to two bicycles, breakfast etc I waited for nearly an hour for the beach shuttle to no availFor two days in a row the printer at the lobby computers wasn’t working I reported it each day We needed to print our COVID test results and fortunately Oscar M (assist general manager) was able to help me out by printing the results from his officeThe breakfast was 20 minutes late opening There were 3 American Airlines employees waiting alongside me but they gave upWe had 5 guests in our room hence why we elected Residence Inn The fold-out couch was broken – and even had plastic straps securing the frame and preventing it from being unfolded, which is indicative of the fact the staff knew it was broken but sold the room to my family anyhowI could deal with the aforementioned issues but what took me back the most was just how rude the front desk lady was to me when I tried to explain the issue with our fold-out bed She kept cutting me off mid-sentence saying “we don’t have any more rooms” (even though I checked in early long before others and should have never been given a broken couch…) to which I would remind her all I wanted was a roller bed or a replacement couch She repeatedly rolled her eyes, laughed with a sarcastic smile and even said “oh well – what can I do – no more rooms”This is without a shadow of a doubt my worst experience in hundreds of nights with Marriott

Excellent decision, we chose this hotel because of the good reviews and were even more pleasantly surprised Lots found Location close to everything, close to restaurants and shopping centers

Everything within walking distance of up to 7 minutes The hotel has a shuttle service to the beach with advance registration The rooms are spacious, clean and nothing is missing Recommended for a visit with family The room has a fully equipped kitchen, a good refrigerator and even a dishwasher There is a gym on the 2nd floor On the 5th floor there is a laundry room with a machine and a dryer at a cost of 25 dollars per machine, you can purchase both washing liquid and strips for the dryer in the lobby Our hospitality included a good buffet meal, the children really enjoyed the Belgian waffle stand that they make on the spot The hotel has a parking service, the entire hotel staff was courteous, helpful and met all expectations, definitely recommended

Bummed – I loved this place but the hotel surprises you with an extra, undisclosed $200 daily fee (on top of the resort fee!) to use the hotel pool on weekends I have never experienced that beforeThe staff were very kind, rooms where pretty clean, and location was great

Restaurant was fantastic! But, not being able to use the pool I paid a resort fee for really bummed me out :(More details: I stayed for 5 days (from Tuesday to Sunday) Tuesday-Thursday was fantastic Two great pools, and of course the beach is awesome However, when I went to the pool on Friday, I was stopped by a security guard who informed me it was $200 to use the pool I told him I was a guest, and he said guests have to pay to use the pool Friday-Sunday as they host a party at the pool I was not going to pay $600 to use the pool for the weekend, and was pretty let downThey do not inform you of this charge in advance I would not stay here again, but I would go to the restaurant If you’re looking for a good hotel in SoBe, there are better options in walking distance

Stayed here for a quick weekend away Food was great at both restaurants The Bazaar was really good and Latch, our server was great as well

Room was clean, service generally pretty good The only complaint is in regards to beach service Getting a set up was difficult, ordering drinks and food were challenging Miami Beach is public I get it but it was very clear many of the guests on the chairs were not hotel guests Which takes away from the whole experience

Excellent place to stay Across the street from the beach Pool area is beautiful and rooftop is stunning

Rooms are comfortable and clean I will say that there was a bit more sound to be heard from neighboring rooms on the weekend, but overall it was a wonderful stay The front desk staff is welcoming and they always have smiles on their faces Really helps brighten the whole experience to be met with a smile Thanks from North Carolina 🙂

Hotel Croydon was a wonderful place to stay for our last minute trip to Miami Beach The hotel itself is located in a great area that felt safe, was close to the beach and had many wonderful bars and restaurants around They have clearly taken an effort to address some the of the concerns of prior guests

Everything other guests noted in prior reviews as being a negative seemed to have be addressed The rooms were clean with comfortable beds The restaurant on site was reasonably priced with large portions and good food They held our luggage for us on the day we checked out so that we could still use the beach and pool while awaiting our flights The only negative I have was that the glasses in the room were not clean, despite being “cleaned” I prefer disposable plastic cups in hotels so that I they are actually clean instead of just wiped with a rag by housekeeping Would definitely stay here again the next time I visit Miami!

We stayed at Hotel Croydon for three days and two nights, August 1-3, 2022 Location is great and the staff is friendly! Cheap overnight parking garage about 10 mins away for $8; however, it’s the little things that brought my rating down My daughter dropped her charger and it rolled under the bed

She went to retrieve it and her hand came out dirty! There was a lot of dirt and dust up under the bed so it appears the housekeeping staff does not clean under there In addition, there is not a fridge or microwave in the room, which is very inconvenient when traveling with children Even if you utilize the restaurant for meals, there is no way to warm your food up if you have leftovers Also, the prices of the items in the mini bar are 3x the normal rate, and they charge a 17% restocking fee Lastly, there is no business center on the property When I approached the front desk about receiving a fax she stated she did not know the fax number so she would have the GM call me with the information; however, no one ever called me nor came to my room So I had to create an online fax account to receive the documents through email and then went to a public library to print them Overall, I would stay here again if the rate was right, but the conveniences that come with a less expensive hotel chain seems to meet the needs of my family better

This hotel was fabulous! I stayed here in early May with my boyfriend and we both had a great time We booked a deluxe king bed with a city view but could still see the ocean from our room! The breakfast buffet had something for everyone, one day they even had unlimited champagne 🍾 The bar by the pool is nice but we spent most of the time by the ocean using the chairs and umbrellas they have set up

The hotel is far enough from South Beach that it’s calm, but it’s right in the boardwalk so it’s easy to get down to the main action on bikes

Pros

Hotel is clean and service has been great and friendly Quick access to a clean beach is a huge plus Valet parking only and they will get it multiple times as needed but it’s $40! I maybe too frugal for a place like this but everything is pricey We apparently didn’t count the kids when we booked our room so they charged us $28 for a teen and $14 for a kid for the breakfast buffet, even if they weren’t going to eat breakfast the next day I didn’t bother to eat but my wife said she rates the food a 6 out of 10 So do the kids So the price doesn’t line up with that to me But again, everything is else was good

Not Safe for Large PartiesWe stayed here for a bachelorette party And honestly everything except for this issue was great Hotel rooms clean

Great breakfast buffet Great locationHowever, there was an issue with security Long story short, we were in close proximity to a room that had a serious altercation We did not know them We were not with them But because were so close to their room and we were a large party they assumed we were at fault Not the caseThen the security proceeded to enter our rooms without permission WHILE WE SLEPT, and told us we were being evicted Finally we were able to communicate that we were indeed separate from them and were able to remain there When we confronted the front desk clerk we were told “You’re lucky we didn’t kick you out just because we can”I understand there were some assumptions made and they were trying to keep the hotel guests secure but coupled with how poorly the situation was handled and the response we received from the staff this is a 1 star hotelI do not recommend staying here
