No complaints! Pool was nice and clean Front desk staff was friendly The hotel received a historic preservation award when remodeled and it shows

Some folks with me complained about the classic room with a balcony being small but how much time do you really plan to spend in your room? There are larger ones available and the things that need to be there are there The shower has a nice rain style shower head Good deal for the price Only wish I have is that there would be a little conference room of some sort

Laetitia Coleman

My friend and I stayed 3 nights It was a pretty decent stay Rooms were very clean but small

Beds felt amazing! Someone came to clean the room every day while we were gone There’s no microwave in the room and very tiny mini bar fridge The pool area was a lot smaller than expected Location was pretty good Just a 5 to 15 minute walk to most shops on Collins and about a 5 minute walk to the beach (straight shot) When you book read the terms and conditions about the $150 a day for incidental fees This is different than the resort fee Overall we enjoyed our time here

This is the first negative review I’ve ever written but want to warn people We booked this place through Tripadvisorcom where you will see a king room with a nice big window

The room we got was on the first level in a separate building and did not have a window that you could see out of because it was next to the loading dock We felt like we were in the basement with lots of noises throughout the night When have you ever stayed in a hotel without a window? It is claustrophobic We asked to be moved but the manager never called back and they claimed no other rooms were available so we stayed in that room for 3 out of 4 nights The lobby was under construction and the entire place smelled like paint and joint compound The room was across from the fitness room and the stairs so it was incredibly loud as well The hotel is in a great location with a pool and beach access, and I liked the retro style so that is why I booked it When we checked out I talked at length with the manager asking for some type of compensation since we felt the value we received was far less than the cash money fiat currency we paid She refused to extend any type of courtesy of any form and indicated that I simply didn’t book the correct room type A disappointing customer service experience to say the least

I stayed here with my daughter for 4 nights My daughter was working during the day We were in a one-bedroom suite

The hotel is clean Staff is nice Valet parking was convenient The biggest disappointment for me was the dining and bar The food is “heat in a microwave” type The bar was not a very popular place in the evenings It was just ok The rooftop pool has a nice view, but there is no food or drink service there This is a place to stay if you do not plan to spend any time in the hotel It’s great for dropping off your stuff and heading out

Update: Here’s the thing to their canned reply I’m still staying at this hotel and despite them saying they want to make it right, they haven’t done anythingLong time Marriott rewards member and honestly, this has to be one of the worst Marriott’s I’ve stayed at

For the far more expensive price compared to neighboring hotels, room service is every other day, rooms are indeed very noisy both during the day and night The intro name on the TV wasn’t mine, and I’m still wondering whose room I have Omar, if you see this, I’m sorry I seem to have gotten your room Elevators are slow and never quite level with the floor itself One elevator seems hell bent on closing on you as soon as it opens The pool is okay, however getting to it requires either luck or skill to get the one single elevator that goes there Two sets of stairs makes it up, but there’s no door handle on the inside on one and the other is hard locked shut Front desk staff couldn’t be less bothered by you trying to check in or welcome you as a status member They mechanically welcome and greet you even if you’ve just simply walked out front for less than a minute Mobile key doesn’t work for the doors, despite the front desk believing it does

Very nice staff, allowed us late checkoit and watched our luggage while we did a little shopping before going on our cruise Clean rooms, very cold av and comfortable beds We will stay here again

Overall excellent service by the staff and nice accomodations I have a few comments/considerations to take into account 1

They pump a fragrant smell into the lobby and hallways As someone who’s sensitive to smells it gave me a headache, however many might enjoy it 2 With only 1 elevator working, the other one is very slow 3 The $22/day resort fee is a joke The options are limited and this isn’t a resort worthy of the charge, it’s a money making thing only 4 While there’s good breakfast options, limited egg or options with egg, which is a staple breakfast at a Residence InnMy comments are just my opinion and take, still really enjoyed the stay and great service and nice size rooms I’d be back still

I rarely, if ever write negative reviews because things “happen” and I understand that reality That said, in my >50 mights at Marriott this year there is no doubt that our experience at the Residence Inn South Beach is the absolute worstWhen I called the day prior to arrival I inquired about using one of our suite upgrades

We were told our room would have a nice balcony but the assigned room did not – and the room was handicap accessibleThe amenities were a joke For the mandatory $22 resort fee guests are entitled to a shuttle to the beach, use of up to two bicycles, breakfast etc I waited for nearly an hour for the beach shuttle to no availFor two days in a row the printer at the lobby computers wasn’t working I reported it each day We needed to print our COVID test results and fortunately Oscar M (assist general manager) was able to help me out by printing the results from his officeThe breakfast was 20 minutes late opening There were 3 American Airlines employees waiting alongside me but they gave upWe had 5 guests in our room hence why we elected Residence Inn The fold-out couch was broken – and even had plastic straps securing the frame and preventing it from being unfolded, which is indicative of the fact the staff knew it was broken but sold the room to my family anyhowI could deal with the aforementioned issues but what took me back the most was just how rude the front desk lady was to me when I tried to explain the issue with our fold-out bed She kept cutting me off mid-sentence saying “we don’t have any more rooms” (even though I checked in early long before others and should have never been given a broken couch…) to which I would remind her all I wanted was a roller bed or a replacement couch She repeatedly rolled her eyes, laughed with a sarcastic smile and even said “oh well – what can I do – no more rooms”This is without a shadow of a doubt my worst experience in hundreds of nights with Marriott

Davidov family

Excellent decision, we chose this hotel because of the good reviews and were even more pleasantly surprised Lots found Location close to everything, close to restaurants and shopping centers

Everything within walking distance of up to 7 minutes The hotel has a shuttle service to the beach with advance registration The rooms are spacious, clean and nothing is missing Recommended for a visit with family The room has a fully equipped kitchen, a good refrigerator and even a dishwasher There is a gym on the 2nd floor On the 5th floor there is a laundry room with a machine and a dryer at a cost of 25 dollars per machine, you can purchase both washing liquid and strips for the dryer in the lobby Our hospitality included a good buffet meal, the children really enjoyed the Belgian waffle stand that they make on the spot The hotel has a parking service, the entire hotel staff was courteous, helpful and met all expectations, definitely recommended

I stayed here for 12 nights in January 2022, and i must say I’m excited to return The staff really make this place special Every single employee i came in contact with was very helpful and friendly, from the front desk staff, pool bar tenders, house keepers, to the restaurant staff

Every day they greeted me with a smile and made me and my pup feel very welcomed The property is lovely, and the location is fantastic AC is probably my favorite of the Marriott brands, and this one is no exception My only feedback is they need to stop capping the elite f&b credit at 3 nights (i spend more $ when I’m rewarded for my loyalty) Also, they did not provide AC toiletries which is one of my FAVORITE things about AC hotels They provide some cheap soaps, sadlyYes, like others have mentioned, Miami Beach is not quiet There is significant noise from those who chose to have loud cars on Collins, but it usually fades after midnight The boardwalk is a very short walk, and the feature that i enjoyed the most on my stay The rooftop pool was very very warm which made it great in the middle of January Thank you AC Miami Beach!!! I’ll be back!!!

This was a great hotel to stay in in Miami It’s close enough to the ocean and close to places to walk to We had an upgraded room with an ocean view and balcony and the balcony was huge! Perfect for sitting out on and relaxing

The staff was very nice Very accommodating and helpful Especially Paulina! She made us feel welcomed from the moment we walked in and gave us great restaurant recommendations! She was definitely the best hotel front desk host I’ve ever had Loved this place

Yan Gindin

This hotel delivers and then some Large spacious rooms, well detailed , clean and friendly service BEWARE: IF you have a balcony odd number room on the 3rd floor, you “balcony” is looking out on a common terrace where kids play and every one has an unobstructed view into your room (website doesn’t mention that)

I got a very unpleasant surprise when checking in but front desk , after some lame excuse, found a perfect balcony room with a real balcony without praying eyes Other than that, I highly recommend this hotel

All stuff members we met are super nice Always with a smile and a free water bottle to giveLocation is great

It’s very close to everything yet very quietThe room was nice and clean There was one issue, that A/C fan was blowing too strong directly on the bed We ended up turning it off and opening the window It was November so the weather was very nice

Had an amazing experience at Pestana SB Got the hotel early expecting to drop off the car and baggage with valet/bell and was able to get a deluxe king upgrade and get into the room early Very large room with king bed, sofa sitting area, decent sized bathroom

Bell brought up our bags from our car, gave us a bottle of wine and two complimentary drink vouchers for the bar The service the whole trip was very great! All of the employees we had helping us went above and beyond The locations was within walking distance of the beach, with loungers and umbrellas provided per the hotel We were also very close to Collins Ave and the large variety of shops, bars and restaurants in that area A few minutes walked to Ocean Dr Would stay again and would recommend any time!

Jesse Swiechowski

Great service and friendly people! The room wasn’t anything special, but it certainly got the job done on our 5 night vacation Staff was very nice and cleaned our room when requested Valet service was $40/night and is a must have when there is barely any public parking around the hotel

Everything that makes South Beach awesome was within walking distance We loved the location of the hotel!!

Before of the pandemic we went to the hotel a couple of times, we decided to return on spring this year The hotel was renovated Rooms are beautifulI must highlight and thank the excellent service and attention that Luis always gave us (sorry, I don’t know his last name), Luis the manager is very professional, kind, funny and extremely polite

With a person of those qualities, it is a great experience to stay there Thank you very much Gaythering, thank you very much “Luis”

Hison Mitchell

I stayed here Wednesday night The staff were very nice and accommodating The bartenders were great

The “crate” I was in was very nice It was basically the size of an average hotel room I was expecting smaller I would definitely stay here and recommend others When I checked in I told the guy helping me that if the hold for incidentals was more than $50 that I wanted to use a different card He tells me yeah we’re going to need another card I ask him how much their hold was to decide which credit card I would use He tells me there’s not a set number but if you only have $50 on your card that won’t cover if you break something Whatever his intentions were by saying that, it came off condescending Especially since all your furniture is attached to room and there is nothing to break I decided to just ignore it in the moment to avoid getting upsetEveryone else there were great so it turned out fine But I would suggest not saying something like that to someone Even if you weren’t trying to be condescending it very much was So I knocked it down a star

Ricardo Pacelli Freitas

I’ve stayed at Hotel Gaythering three times and every single time was unforgettableThe rooms are very clean, the sheets and pillows are comfortable, and the ambience is phenomenalThey offer free bikes to ride around south beach, free beach towels, beach umbrellas, ice… they really have everything

Gaythering also has the best gay sauna in Miami right downstairs, and hotel guests have free access to it! Oh! I almost forgot to mention the gay bar with drag shows, games and karaoke! The staff is so accommodating and welcoming! They make me feel at home! Special thanks to Dupaul and Luis for being so awesome!Did I mention they have a pancake machine?Gaythering is the best option for gay men in Miami Just book your reservation already!

My father and i stayed here a while ago We are from Australia and were on holidays for the Super Bowl Yes two years ago! The Delano ended up taking a hefty bond from our family which was fine

When we left the accomodation we left our room in a very tidy condition We then flew home to Australia emailed the Delano management to follow up our deposit to be advised we never stayed at this accomodation and wouldn’t refund our deposit We felt this was behaviour was very poor They are happy for us to spend large in their pool bar but once checkout took place they didn’t want to know us and stole our money Since our stay we have tried to make contact with this hotel with no response

Angela Castro

I was invited to the Beach club back in early March before the pandemic for a concierge event & had amazing time! The food was delicious, the DJ was playing hits & the drinks were well crafted The atmosphere was fun & I loved the chic decor Most of all the staff were very attentive

Would definitely recommended visiting this location to my guests & residents 🙂

Ana Paula Pellegrino

The hotel was nice and quiet, even if steps away from all the buzz Miami Beach has to offer A perfect retreat for those who appreciate a good night of rest The staff was always super helpful and the amenities were on point, but the carpet in the rooms could be a bit cleaner, there were many stains in mine

I really appreciated the coffee pods in the rooms that were refreshed daily The rooftop pool was also a delight!

Mike Collier

A great little hotel, just a block from South Beach Rooms are nice, clean and spacious Hotel staff friendly and helpful

So all good exceptNo bar, no restaurant, and then we get to the breakfast offering Having pre-paid I was surprised I was limited to just one cooked option, everything else had surcharge, but worse if you do have something else you also have to pay for your juice and coffee (free if you have the standard breakfast) Final whinge, the coffee is awful and breakfast is on plastic plates, with plastic cutlery, no appropriate for the settingSo summary, great hotel, staff and location, let down by catering

Ron Katagiri

This is the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had and I travel for a living so this tells a lotI was booked for 2 nights and fully paid I added an extra day before my stay so when I arrive earlier than check in time I would have a place to stay

I called them days in advance to let them know what’s going to happen After a very long flight with little to no sleep I arrived to check in and was told that the room was cancelled because there was nobody who checked in the day before The front desk was so arrogant and obnoxious handling the situation as if it’s my fault It was March 20, 2022 11:00am She insists that it was the hotel policy to cancel an already paid booking if no one checked in even though I called to inform them about the situation She kept saying that all hotels do that and that is the hotel policy She seems to insist too that I didn’t call and tried defending what happened instead of being apologetic about it and find a solution She told me to sit and she’ll figure out what she can do She then proceeded to assist about 10 other guests checking out I felt like a fool being the only Asian guy in a room full of white people being assisted by this lady I had to wait for her to finish assisting everyone before she assist me I’ve wasted so much time which is the whole point why I booked an extra day to avoid wasting time Had I not started to raise my voice on her, she’d keep treating me obnoxiously like I wasn’t a paying customer She eventually said sorry and proceeded to explain that I’ll have free towels blah blah blah No one cares about the free towels For everything that I had to go through that is quite an insult to be honest I feel like I would have been treated differently if I was white or something Any other decent hotel would have offered so much more for the incredibly inconvenience this hotel has put me through IT IS THE WORST HOTEL EVER

I enjoyed my 3 night stay at Hyatt Centric! Nothing fancy but an excellent central location to walk Collins Ave and Ocean Dr Room was simple and beds comfy! I loved my deluxe corner room view! Also enjoyed the beach service at Loews Hotel across the street Gustavo and Ming were exceptional

greeting guests! I did have to ask for my room floors to be swept as they were sandy from the previous occupants Polite requests were returned with good service Despite South Beach going downhill in the last ten yearsmy stay at Hyatt Centric was a good experience and I would stay here again

Tisha Greenidge

This is a wonderful location, although not on the beach itself The beach access is across the street though Close to everything! Spent one night, and was upgraded to a deluxe room on the 10th floor

I was so tired, I forgot to take pics of the room (sorry!) Overall, my stay was excellent Very clean room, comfortable bed The AC worked quite well too Got to take advantage of the steam room at the Exhale Spa, that is complementary Your key also gives you beach access through the Loews hotel that is across the street, as well as towel and beach chair from Loews Beach umbrellas are additional Spa and Beach available even after you check out, so this was a great way to kill some time before my evening flight The hotel has a pool, but I did not use it I will definitely stay again, if I’m on this strip again

Ross R

Modern and attractive design, clean, nice decoration The whole place just felt new and quality In addition it’s a great perk to be able to use the gym, pool, and beach chairs from the Loews hotel across the street

The manager was able to discount our rate at the last minute too which was very appreciated Room was very nice tooTaking away a star because coffee is not included (with signs in the lobby to remind you) The drip coffee was $5 including a mandatory 20% gratuity

The stay was nice, the pool staff was friendly and the rooms were clean, until there was no hot water in the rooms The hotel knew of this issue, did not tell the guests (even with their text message system), and when I called front desk she said it was an issue with a vendor and no ETA on the fix She could not care less

Her manager offered two solutions (to pack up my entire family and move to the other tower?! or take my toddler at bedtime to shower at the spa at the other tower?!) that did not work for me and said he’d call back when it was fixed He also said they were notifying guests by putting a letter under their doors (of all rooms in their main tower… sure…)I did not receive the aforementioned letter or phone call I did receive a small credit to my resort fee at check out the next morning after I said they provided BS next steps I can’t believe a hotel of that size doesn’t have any action plan or compensation plan for a major issue like NO HOT WATERHope they don’t reply to thank me for the review to help them grow/improve rather spend the time being more proactive with their guests instead

This is one of the few kid friendly and family friendly hotels in Miami beach However, even here the party crowd obviously is favored The pool closes early

around 5pm, so does the beach (chairs and umbrellas) I’m not sure why The food options for dinner inside the hotel are pretty much only room service We ate in the hotel restaurant once for dinner and had to wait an hour until our food arrived In the meantime they dimmed the lights and turned up the volume so my kids got cranky and I did not even have the opportunity to finish my dinner myself The rooms are rather small but that’s fine if you spend most of your day anyways outside There’s no kid friendly menu for the pool side (except for usual chicken fingers etc) or beach as you have to go inside the hotel for ice cream or similar Also upon arrival we were not shown around and felt treated rather second class The location is beautiful though and i still prefer staying here than many other hotels Overall for the 5* rating i must say it’s the details that are missing No evening room prep, no welcome gifts, no high end toiletries, no extra toiletries, cheap toilet paper, no bath robes, no show around in the beginning, no intro to spa or amenities, the furniture a bit run down no complimentary water or snacks, there’s really that extra touch missing It’s a fancier holiday inn

ProsNice and comfortable dorm room for a couple of nights Pool area is also very nice

ConsThought that it was a bit weird to not have any drinking water available for guests all day until the bar opens at 5pm So if you’re hanging out by the pool you have to walk to the supermarket to get water Surely it wouldn’t be a big deal for them to have a water cooler?I guess it is!Found the staff generally pretty moody and unfriendly, except for Evan He was super friendly and chatty The others were notIt was also pretty disappointing to be moved on from our sun loungers or table by the pool each day, because they have people come in from outside the hostel and they want the space for themSo regardless that we’re guests staying in the premises, we still got kicked offNot coolOverall, I wouldn’t rush back

André Jetzlaff

Decent value for money if you prefer a more social experienceDorms and bathrooms are clean and convenient enough The location is great with the beach, restaurants and a grocery store nearby

There is absolutely no kitchen whatsoever to use whereas most of the area turns into a restaurant/bar in the evening Thus rooms on ground level tend to be fairly loud

Danielle Higgins

First time staying in a hostel so my review may not be correct The bed was comfy The weekend I came to Miami was extremely cold and the rooms were freezing

I understand its bare minimum but no full size mirror in the room Also no washcloths provided please bring your own I felt safe Met a ton of people Will try other hostels in the future

Great hotel/location Less helpful staffGreat location, modern rooms, and a nice pool area

Overall nothing bad to say about the facilities (we didn’t dine in but it looked great) Was there for 7 days and didn’t get tired of the roomDrawbacks: Will echo others on noise You will hear your neighbors Not a big deal as we were there for a weekday conference but I imagine it would be pretty bad during the weekend if people were partying Beds were also just average Also no heavy curtains so you will wake up with the sunStaff: Cesar was great and helped out when the hotel had double booked our room but daytime staff was pretty lazy and didn’t do simple things like bring up a coffee pod or help out with luggage and generally had an attitude like she didn’t want to be there Get staffing right and it will be top notch

Sabry Sabouni

Location is amazing, room is clean, staff are very welcoming, specially at the receptionFood is super delicious and lot of dishes from different cuisine in the menu

I like also the services at the beach, the guy Luck is very kind and friendlyThe only thing that I didn’t like is the AC It is hard to adjust the AC temperature, so it it either very cold or fan only, and it is very noisyNot all Gym machines work Only two out of four workAll in all, I recommend Berkeley Shore Hotel, and I will stay in the same hotel if I come back again to Miami

Imaan

We had a great stay here while in Miami The location is truly excellent, in the heart of South Beach, rooms are clean and updated with timely daily housekeeping We also took advantage of beach access through their partnership with the Loews hotel across the street

If you are looking for an amazing hotel lobby or vast amenities, this is not that If you are looking for a clean, simple, boutique-type hotel in a central location, then this your place

Had really high hopes for our stay at Lennox Miami Beach however it was really over shadowed by a large group they were hosting during our stay We felt unwelcome as the entire hotel staff were focused on the large group In fact one day as we were heading to the pool we showed up to it being closed, we inquired with the front desk and were told we should have received a note the night before as we were not part of the group attending the private event on the pool deck, no notices was received until 4pm that afternoon, 4 hours after the pool closed

House keeping knocked on the door at 845am one morning to tidy, we were still sleeping We told them to come back later they never came back even the next day by 4pm we had still not received any house keeping until we called and spoke with the front desk staff twice Coffee was on demand and not automatically refilled The resort fee covers many amenities that we never had access to The only reason this is not a 1 Star is because after the second day of missed house keeping the manager called me and offered to cover the resort fee for the two nights they missed the house keeping The last thing I want to do on vacation is to deal with this sort of stuff Would personally try other hotels before returning The pool is nice here, the room is modern but the nice touches are missing from this boutique hotel

I had the pleasure of spending a week at the Lennox Hotel in Miami BeachRoger Vivas, General Manager and his staff are truly wonderful people I love the ambiance of this boutique establishment, and the staff are friendly, down to earth, and totally real people

To quote Roger……”they do everything with love” Unlike many other places I have stated at it’s service with a smile hereLocation is great, rooms are spacious and unique, and the restaurant is excellent Everything, and I mean everything I had for breakfast and lunch was outstandingI will absolutely be back here in the not too distant future, and totally recommend the Lennox HotelMy sincere thanks guys!

Well appointed rooms, friendly receptionists, excellent on-site restaurant Housekeeping was prompt and excellent The gym was good, but we could not use the pool as it always was quite crowded

My wife forgot her headphones – which housekeeping/the front-desk located and is shipping to us One piece of advice though – we arrived on a Saturday – the nightclub next door was super loud I called the front desk and they kept giving me the same answer about the 11 pm Miami beach sound “limit” The music continued well past that – and while I don’t think the hotel can do much about this, it would have been good if they simply said it is primarily an issue on Fri and Sat nights If you are looking for something quiet, then avoid this hotel on Friday and Saturday (and maybe Thursday) nights Overall, we were very pleased with the hotel, its location and beach amenities

I had a spectacular experience at the Ritz in South Beach! The employees are taught very well and are attentive and go out of their way for you! It makes such a huge difference when people do their job well!!!! Also the hotel after the renovations is clean and modern and a perfect place to hang out! Really well air conditioned, always smells nice inside The restaurant by the pool has amazing food and is beautiful The pool service was amazing, drinks were perfect and again, the STAFF was 10/10!!!! I will 100% return here, in fact, I can’t wait lol! Good Job, Keep it up!!!!

What an amazing experience beginning to end! We were greeted with helpful staff who brought our luggage to our room and set us up with lounge access for meals and drinks for the duration of our stay We loved the easy pool and beach access with unbeatable service The lounge was lovely, serving the best cocktails and food

We were chatting with one of the lounge managers about our flight schedule, and he offered us complimentary late checkout so we would enjoy the last day of our trip Blown away You get what you pay for at the Ritz and we are looking forward to be back soon!

Brook Kelly

The grounds, especially the pool and beach location were great The rooms were lovely However, the level of hospitality I’ve come to expect at a Ritz Carlton property was not up to par

Service at the pool, restaurant and front desk were below the standard of other Ritz Carlton properties where my family and I have stayed in the recent past Staff were not attentive, well informed about what the hotel offered, or especially friendly While the pool itself was great, my family and I would likely stay at Loews South beach next time where the service is more professional My family and I have depended on the Ritz Carlton brand to ensure we will be at a hotel that’s hospitality matches it’s prices Sadly, that was not the case at Ritz Carlton South Beach

The hotel is a little small and dated for my taste However, if you’re into the quaint boutique kinda of stay, this is it! I absolutely loved the outdoor space A beautiful garden leads to the pool and beach area

The hotel restaurant is a hit! It brought in many tourists during the brunch hour Hotel also offered free drinks during happy hour! I wouldn’t stay again, but it wasn’t so bad

Daphne hall

I loved this hotel! For my first time to Miami I really wanted a good hotel to compliment the trip and this was the hotel The location was great and the hotel itself is gorgeous The pool area is gorgeous and they also have a path that leads right to the beach

They also offer you complimentary chairs and towels for relaxing on the beach The room was a little small but the bed was perfection! I slept like a baby I still tell everyone how comfortable the bed was Overall I enjoyed my stay here and would definitely come back

Mark B

The Kimpton Surfcomber was a fantastic experience I was a bit skeptical about the hotel after some of the reviews that I read but I came to the conclusion that some of the most stuck-up, snobs wrote them The rooms are clean, and while they are on the smaller side, are perfectly adequate for me

The building is an older Art Deco one so they clearly have no control of the space but make the absolute most out of it The food and drinks were great Yes, it is pricey but it is also MIAMI! I was so entertained that people complained about the prices of drinks when quite literally everywhere in Miami you’ll be paying $20+ The staff was very friendly and attentive The location is GREAT! Walking distance to just about anything The pool and beach were very clean and fun There was a little bit of noise one night from Collins Ave around 2-5 AM, but again, absolutely nothing the hotel can do and it is MIAMI All in all, I highly recommend this property if you are on the younger side

I honestly expected Generator would be too good to be true for a hostel but I was pleasantly surprised and I’m glad I stayed here Everything looked brand new and clean, including the rooms The check-in/check-out process was quick and the amenities looked very pretty

Great localization right in front of a bus stop So far this is the best hostel I’ve ever stayed at Be sure to book direct for no billing surprises Highly recommended if you’re visiting Miami, it was an unbeatable deal compared to other stays in the area!

Chris Vassallo

My wife and I stumbled upon the generator hotel last minute , and we’re glad we did Hotel is very modern and clean There’s plenty to do around the hotel and surrounding areas

The location is perfect to the beach Complementary beach towels and bikes if you need them The hotel staff was amazing , very attentive and helped us out with our room We will be staying here again when we come back to Miami

Gordon Landry

The hostel was clean and comfortable The pool area was not packed and was decent However, the shared dorms did not have shampoo/conditioner/body wash despite the advertisement that “toiletries” are included

It only contained hand soap by the sink and they were selling the others at the front desk The room was pretty small with no where to really sit besides the bed but otherwise not bad Also, the bed was kinda noisy, as I could hear basically every time the person on the top bunk moved For the price, it is a decent place to stay while in Miami Beach

Excellent place to stay Across the street from the beach Pool area is beautiful and rooftop is stunning

Rooms are comfortable and clean I will say that there was a bit more sound to be heard from neighboring rooms on the weekend, but overall it was a wonderful stay The front desk staff is welcoming and they always have smiles on their faces Really helps brighten the whole experience to be met with a smile Thanks from North Carolina 🙂

Hotel Croydon was a wonderful place to stay for our last minute trip to Miami Beach The hotel itself is located in a great area that felt safe, was close to the beach and had many wonderful bars and restaurants around They have clearly taken an effort to address some the of the concerns of prior guests

Everything other guests noted in prior reviews as being a negative seemed to have be addressed The rooms were clean with comfortable beds The restaurant on site was reasonably priced with large portions and good food They held our luggage for us on the day we checked out so that we could still use the beach and pool while awaiting our flights The only negative I have was that the glasses in the room were not clean, despite being “cleaned” I prefer disposable plastic cups in hotels so that I they are actually clean instead of just wiped with a rag by housekeeping Would definitely stay here again the next time I visit Miami!

We stayed at Hotel Croydon for three days and two nights, August 1-3, 2022 Location is great and the staff is friendly! Cheap overnight parking garage about 10 mins away for $8; however, it’s the little things that brought my rating down My daughter dropped her charger and it rolled under the bed

She went to retrieve it and her hand came out dirty! There was a lot of dirt and dust up under the bed so it appears the housekeeping staff does not clean under there In addition, there is not a fridge or microwave in the room, which is very inconvenient when traveling with children Even if you utilize the restaurant for meals, there is no way to warm your food up if you have leftovers Also, the prices of the items in the mini bar are 3x the normal rate, and they charge a 17% restocking fee Lastly, there is no business center on the property When I approached the front desk about receiving a fax she stated she did not know the fax number so she would have the GM call me with the information; however, no one ever called me nor came to my room So I had to create an online fax account to receive the documents through email and then went to a public library to print them Overall, I would stay here again if the rate was right, but the conveniences that come with a less expensive hotel chain seems to meet the needs of my family better
