Margo Smart

Planned an overnight shopping spree to La Plaza mall and this hotel/motel is literally next door to Macy’s Quiet and old-school, I appreciated their price and the convenience of walking to the mall Nice trees

A pool that was not filled Check-in was fairly smooth although the clerk made us wait for a ground floor room when it was clear the motel was hardly filled

TERRIBLE!!!!! Horrible customer service!!! DO NOT STAY HERE, I booked this hotel for my mother who is attending a funeral for my father and upon leaving the hotel she was charged an ADDITIONAL $60 for towels that cannot be replaced? (Very confused at this point) I spoke with a younger woman named Carolina who said she was the General Manager, she had absolutely no explanation for what happened, only that she had spoken with the “head housekeeper” about the towels there were NO photos of “said towels” that they claimed were destroyed and I had to ask her 5 seperate times before sending an itemised receipt to my email

This is absolutely the worst customer service I have received in my life, Not only was Carolina extremely rude and very unsympathetic towards our situation she could not provide any explanation for how these towels were “destroyed” during the stay or could not provide any photo evidence or pictures of the addition $60 damage fees to the towels All she said was “If I have them, I will send them” I can guarantee you I will have my husband reach out to American Express to dispute these additional charges and that we will never stay or mention this hotel to anybody! They are obviously looking for an easy unethical way to increase revenue and when I mentioned staying in a cheaper hotel to save money she got very defensive saying this is NOT a cheap motel, you could’ve stayed at Motel 6 The only reason I gave this place 1 star was because I had too but from my experience here I have never felt so unsatisfied and even more unwelcome

danielle arizmendi

Horrible the room was facing macys at la plaza mall, the room smelled, was very outdated and the door was not working properly so we had bugs and mosquitoes flying in So i go to attempt to talk to a manager and they said you can’t get a refund but we can switch you rooms i said no I want a refund She said I’m sorry the manager won’t be in till Monday

I wouldn’t recommend this place at all theses reviews are very misleading and this hotel is like a room you would rent by the hour

Very nice and affordable place to stay I will def be booking this location again It’s right off the freeway with restaurants, gas stations and even groceries and a pharmacy all within 1/4 mile

The area is very upscale and safe The pool gets cleaned daily and the staff is so very nice Breakfast options were plentiful and they had a staff of 2-3 every morning restocking and cleaning the breakfast area (Make sure to tip them! There’s a tip jar) They even have a bar in the back in it’s own building and parking lot you can go and grab a drink and some finger foods at night I think they close at 2am We really enjoyed our stay here Make sure to also tip your room service!

The front desk lady couldn’t even find my reservation even when I had a confirmation number and an email she said that I reserved through a third party (Tripcom) and the reservation was under my mother’s name and I was the one who made it and pay for it The carpet of the room was so dirty, and the toilet was not even working right, I had to flush it like five times to make it to work

When I requested another room she gave me the keys of another room and they were not even working So I had to go back and forth like three times to change keys and none were working The lady was not helping at all and she had a bad attitude she made me wait for long time in the lobby At this point I didn’t want to stay in that hotel anymore because I was with my mother, she is 61 and she needs a special service so I requested cancellation of the room and a refund she said that I reserved it through a third party(Tripcom) and she couldn’t do anything because she didn’t know what I had pay for So she denied a refund I had to call the corporation office to solve the problem and she acted like she was talking to her manager When I requested to talk to her manager she said she was talking to her boyfriend Obviously I got upset and I just asked to respect my rights as a customer, because I had already paid She didn’t care that I had my mother with me and she kicked me out the hotel with my sick mother and she called the police on me like I was a criminal Also I had to pay a $50 deposit She said she was going to give me the money back As today , I only got the refund from Tripcom, and that was because I had to call them to complain Also I recorded a video of the keys not working so you can see that I’m not lying As today, I’m still waiting for the refund of the $50 deposit that I had paid Please take action about this poor customer service and help me get my $50 back that I paid (deposit) because I didn’t even stay in the hotel Thank you Fernando

Christina Eilers

A bit more affordable than surrounding hotels, depending when you make your reservation Very close to the hospital my sister was staying, within walking distance There’s a bus or trolley stop in the side street but not aware of hours of operation

There are restaurants nearby, a medium size shopping mall Very conveniently located Staff at breakfast very helpful, food’s good!

The rooms were spotless and very nice Service was amazing, though one guy did kind of come in to drop something off I’d requested without checking, caught my wife unawares He didn’t know I wasn’t staying alone

But they provide pots and pans and a hot plate for free if you ask Other than the outdoor pool needing a good cleaning, everything was fantastic

Edgar Hernandez

I was greeted with a “yes” by the front desk person The location is great and close to restaurants Clean rooms, breakfast was also good

Loved the app, it function as a key to be able to open doors Pools was Ok, needed some cleaning Again, 2 stars for the service, front desk needs to learn some customer service and manners Other than than it was great

My family and I were visiting from out of town and booked rooms at a neighboring motel It was horrible! Desperate to find last minute rooms at another hotel, we were saved by a wonderful man named Eric (the manager) I called and was greeted by a very friendly young lady who assisted us with our reservations

The price was about what I expected it to be We stayed in the beautiful suites It was incredibly clean, smelled so fresh, and my family was so comfortable We slept great and woke up to find hot fresh breakfast waiting downstairs The pool was beautiful and clean (however we did not partake) A must stay for anyone wanting great service and great pillows 😉

Joe Parlon

I have stayed at a lot of Intercontinental Hotel Group (IHG) Properties This was an especially enjoyable stay and I was here 35 days to offer this review My room was nice

Getting here is easy and convenient The Staff from desk, to cleaning to managers were all amazing They were incredibly friendly & professional and a definite example of the standards of IHG Properties THANK YOU

Lily Trevino

Very impressed by the level of service rendered by the dining hall and housekeepers on a busy Spring Break weekend The rooms were impeccable and the breakfast area was well-stocked and clean in spite of there being dozens of demanding guestsUnfortunately, these were the only posts at which we spotted female personnel and they were severely understaffed

In spite of being IHG Spire Elite card members, they only gave us one hour late check-out; most usually allow threeA few hours after arriving, I asked about complimentary points we usually receive, but Erik said we wouldn’t be receiving any because we were using points for our stayLater in the evening, when we called the overnight front desk receptionist, he kept us on hold for an extremely long time and then wouldn’t answer When we went downstairs to ask for utensils, he quickly showed us his cell phone and said he was talking to the manager It wasn’t rude necessarily, just a little strangeI finally received an email letting us know points had been added to our account, but they are nowhere near the amount we used to receive for stays before the pandemicAgain, we were very happy with the impeccable rooms and common areas and the clean and well-stocked breakfast during our stay

LORENA QUEZADA

Came specifically for the pool and hot tub The pool was filthy and there was no hot tub I checked in 30 mins late and the room I had initially requested was not ready so I settled for a single instead

The key cards presented some difficulty on all common area doors that I tried and on my room door as well A few light fixtures on the exterior were either loose or missing, the pool area at first glance looked clean but upon further review, there was trash outside of their receptacles and broken furniture, and glass tables that were brown from the dirt The couch in my room was stained and there was some strange drip on the dresser across the bed Staff was friendly Initial presentation of the building and lobby looked good Rated 3 stars specifically because it’s not as advertised in regards to the pool and lack of hot tub

This is my 3rd time staying here and overall have enjoyed it very much The breakfast is always amazing Although could do a better job at ensuring tables are cleaned

The only reason I am not giving 5 stars is the parking Every single time I have stayed here, there is only one entrance and exit All other areas are blocked off by a metal fencing barrier It is extremely annoying having to drive around trying to find the entrance Which is always at the back of the hotel and not at the front I know it also isn’t a thing they only do at night because we arrived for check in 3pm and all areas were blocked off except an area in the back of the hotel I don’t know if they have a towing policy in place, but I assume they do this in order to prevent people, who are not guests, from parking there However, it is such an inconvenience for your guests If that is the case, why not implement a parking policy where guest are given a paper to put on the dash and others can be towed I don’t understand why else the entrances would be blocked off Also seems like a safety risk if there were to be an emergency! Overall my stays are always great and quiet This is the only issue

William Ryan

I would highly recommend this hotel if you are traveling for business or pleasure The staff are so friendly and helpful, they really made my stay extra special Juan, Robert, Ricky, Paola, Gabby, Desma, Shelly, and the breakfast grill chefs always have a smile and always ready to serve you

I booked a last minute stay through Expedia and quickly figured out that I accidentally booked a hotel 3 hours away which was obviously my fault I called the hotel, no answerShortly after booking, I arrived at the hotel I THOUGHT I had booked, and tried to switch the booking to that location, which was denied, even though they had vacancy

Once I was declined, I called Expedia in an attempt to get at least some part of my money back, as I had no intention of paying for a second room After waiting 2 days, this request was deniedI will never be booking at Super 8 again, and from the looks of the hotel I saw, they probably did me a favor by avoiding bed bugs Although the mistake was clearly mine, I called promptly (within ten minutes) to cancel the booking in hopes that they would understand the accident Bad business practice in my opinion

The comfort of the bed/pillows was great, but I wasn’t sure how well the room had been cleaned because I found a used bath towel hanging behind the bathroom door Also, I’m glad that I always carry my own bath essentials because not once was the bath gel filled during my 2 day stay As well as, only one toilet tissue(the ones on the roll itself) was available

My sister, who stayed with me, was puzzled that her bottom sheets were pulled back underneath the comforter(not extended?)The Breakfast and the personnel there were awesome However the male clerk when I checked in wasn’t very welcoming and when I called him from my room and told him about the dirty towel left behind the door, all he said was, “oh, I’m sorry” I had to tell him to send someone to pick it up and bring extra towels This was something that I was giving him ample time to suggest, but never did

Juan Perez

The owner yelled at me in front of the hotel for walking my dog before checkout He was upset because I had brought my dog in even though I had stayed there two nights and no one ever told me dogs weren’t allowed When I told him this he told me to review the policy and instead of leaving it at that he called the cops on me

I was beyond disappointed in front of other guests by the owner and when I told him I was going to call for help to their line he said “call them and tell them how rude I was” seemingly mocking me He then locked me out if my room while the cops arrived They charged me 500 dollars for the pet fee Do not stay here!

Johanna Valenzuela

I called in to inquire about a price for a hotel for the night and the person who answered the phone at 10:33pm on 03/18/2022 was EXTREMELY RUDE When I called back to get the details of her name she REFUSED I called four times and she continued to place me on hold to not give her name

I really enjoy staying at Holiday inn branches and it was very disappointing to not be able to book a room due to a lack of customer service I really hope management can address this issue in order for future guest

Great location near tons of shopping and restaurants Definitely had everything we needed on our little Business trip Super clean and great staff our only complaint was the water pressure was below par

It was definitely Disappointing especially since it was over a 100° each day of our visit Better shower would have got them five stars

Nice place, the front desk staff was very friendly and respectful, although it was undergoing exterior remodeling, the room is large and the bed comfortable Just two observations about my stay… *there are two photos of owls that make you feel very uncomfortable… *and in the bathtub had facial hair on it, as if someone had shaved in the bathtub I had to wash it as I would be bathing my baby

Room very nice and cleanRequested a rollaway bed and wasn’t sure what to expect but it was comfortable and fit perfectly beside one of the beds and wallNo issues or complaints with the hotel room;includes a nice size TV, microwave, keurig and fridge

I Have Stayed Here Before Years Ago And I Have No Complaints About That Stay That Time Yesterday I Booked On Bookingcom And Just Because My License Is Under The Name I’m In The Process Of Changing, Just The First Name, And My Card That I Paid With With The Other Name I’m Legally Changing It To, The Worker There, Or I Don’t Know If She’s The Manager Or Not, Didn’t Process My Stay

In Bookingcom It Just Mentions To Show A VALID ID And A Card Doesn’t Mention Anything About Them Having to HAVE To Be Under The Same Name The Room Was Paid And I Was Completely Exhausted, Irritated, Aggravated, Sleepless, Back Aching So Much I Just Couldn’t Deal With But I Think Was Pretty Petty And Not So Cooperative Or Understanding Whatsoever I Do Not Have Issues Anywhere Else; Not Mentioning Other Hotels, In General, With This I Think They Could’ve Handled It Differently Or At Least Somehow Transferred My ONLY funds I Had At That moment To My Brothers Name If That Was Te Issue

Drew Smith

First issue I had was when I got to the room it was dirty I had to request a broom and some towels to clean the room, plus the fridge because they didn’t have anyone to do it As I was sleeping I noticed dead roaches throughout the room and under the cabinet

Second there was shaved hair in the shower and long hair on the toilet seat and pillow cases There were never any extra towels to shower with or pillows to use The pillows were SO FLAT I woke up with a crook in my neck I checked in Sunday and by Thursday night I was ready to go I called downstairs abd Anthony said I would be able to get the remainder of my money back, but I called this morning to get checked out and Elizabeth said I wouldn’t be able to get a refund Mind you the advertise rate is 4600 per night but they said that’s for a weekly rate, the nightly rate is really 60 or 70 something When I saw a live roach i called and got another room at a different hotel and left at 330 AM it was that bad

We had an awesome 9 night stay here! I’ve never stayed in a hotel that smelled so well It smells like Coach Poppy perfume, but not overpowering The beds and pillows were very comfortable, house keepers always on their A-game, front desk was very helpful in navigating the area, the rates were very reasonable, and the breakfast selection was one of the largest I’ve seen

The food was definitely above average for hotel breakfast The entire property was clean and quiet They also offer shuttle service not just to the airport, but anywhere in a 5 mile radius Property is in a fantastic location as far as being close to everything 10/10 recommend staying with them!

Juan Chavez

First time here and absolutely loved it! Will book here for future visits Continental breakfast was splendid with great variety Rooms were wonderful as well as cleaning staff

Only issue I had was the crib I requested at time of booking was not there and also not brought to room when I requested at front desk but we made it work on the king size bed with son sleeping on couch bed which he preferred anyways

The park staff are really nice, but some of the people that winter in this park are not friendly We were next to a couple from Canada that appeared to have been coming to this park for years We left our little puppy for an hour one day and she barked for most of that and I felt so bad

She has a really squeaky bark but the behavior of the couple when we pulled in was not acceptable The wife of this man was making the gesture slitting their throats We will never go back there I apologized several times and even tried to apologize to the woman and she slammed the door in my face Good luck if you go there

Not sure where to start Just finished a 6 month workamper job here as clubhouse cleaners When we arrived in October we almost turned around

It appeared very unkept Shortly after the landscape workers arrived and got it into presentable shape Website lues a bit No horshoes, no water excercise Pool is really too small for this Activity director only interested in money making activities No organized golf groupWill not return The only reason I gave it 3 stars is for the people (fellow workampers) we met here Most of whom also will not return

We stayed here for a week in January, 2013 and really enjoyed ourselves The park is beautiful and well-maintained Our site was large and level with excellent 50-amp power and clean concrete (the whole site, not just a pad)

Our favorite part was that everyone here was so active! These “Winter Texans” were here to have fun and we joined right in!We really enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it to anyone!
