This motel was a delight to stay at!! To begin with the night desk gal was VERY friendly and happy! She was busy when we arrived but kept her cool & the smile on her face! We had a nice spacious room The beds were just right The morning staff was equally friendly & courteous

Staff was nice But, dirty toilet upon checkin, coffee maker threw debris in my coffee in my room, there was nasty old dried up water and calcium/lime in the coffee maker reservoir, the refrigerator had either melters chocolate or spilled coke in it, and the ac didn’t work whatsoever I had to open the window and the front desk lady said she didn’t know how to fix it and that she had been told to unplug it and plug it back in

Slept in a hot dirty room for $200/night It could have been worse But I expected a cleaner room with ac when I paid that much

Brought a group of about 70 here for an overnight stay and we had a great experience From working with their GM Deb to check in…all positive The hotel was nicely appointed and very clean…as were the rooms

It was in walking distance of several restaurants, Walmart, etc Although it is just off I-90, I heard no traffic noise in my room Heat in rooms worked well and was quiet Pool and hot tub were very nice and open late Breakfast was hot (standard eggs, sausage, waffles) and plentiful There was also sufficient space for our bus to park and plug in on a cold night Overall, we were very pleased and I hope to bring another group back soon

After reading previous reviews and then actually staying here, I had to share that our stay was outstanding! We had 3 kids and a dog and the room was very spacious and clean as well The entry area was like a nice lodge with lots of open space and a welcoming atmosphere The pool was hot tub were great for the kids and the breakfast was certainly adequate for being free

All in all, this was a great experience and I would recommend it to others

Made the reservation online and guys it was done in literally 2 minutes! I needed a 1st floor due to having a small pet and they accommodated us within a 2 hr check in window The check in staff gave us treats for Molli and 2 bottled waters for us upon check in The ladies were very nice as well

The room was an average king, nothing special It was clean and AC worked beautifully that’s HUGE these days! For being a pet friendly hotel it didn’t smell like they had been there previously

The first room we picked was on the parking lot side, but smelled of strong chemicals like what would be used to cover up cigarette smoke We had to request a move which put us on the highway side although the front desk ensured me it was on the quieter side of the hotel The room smelled like dirty socks, but we chose to stay in there because it had been such an issue to move us as apparently they were very full

We hoped we could make it through the night with some sleep, but got very little due to the unbearable traffic/semi noise most of the night The room was surprisingly clean considering the smell, and the hotel itself was quiet The main problem was entirely the traffic noise I would not stay here again as it’s too much money to not get any sleep

(42″plasma I think) NOT ultra disability friendly though all one level Could use a couple grab bars in the bathroom, and yes the decor is a blast back to 1978 But it’s cheap, across from a great grocery store, near a convince store, and a short jaunt to a couple places to eat Several small tourist attractions near by So don’t be too much of a fuss budget and enjoy an economical place to stay

This place is amazing! Huge room, two queen beds, couch, squashy chair, coffee table, mini fridge, microwave, 50″ TV on the wall with cable, free WiFi, bathroom with shower Style is updated 60s/70s structure with modern fixtures and furniture Feels like a studio apartment

Best part? 3 night stay was less than $60/night! Absolutely incredible place to stay and if I return to Mitchell, I know exactly where I’m going back to!

Room was very comfortable, I got plugged into a double queen room I think? That or they were fulls not sure The pillows were that classic hotel can’t find anywhere else softer than they had any right to be The hotel staff was extremely accommodating

Arrived only to find out pool is closed They used a marker to change the time from 11 to 10pm as you can see in the photo Website says it’s open until 11pm

And it just gets worse Its now 1am and it’s raining outside and we now have a flooding of water from the window Called front desk They suggested just to put towels down and he said it happens often I would like to know if they have done mold inspection of this place Look at this water damage! Please don’t stay here!! A lot of people coming out of their rooms with same thing happening

WOW these spaces are massive! Our 26 ft class C with a toad didn’t take up even half of the length of the space Was so nice to have the extra space around us Grassy areas on each side, your neighbor is not right next door, he is in another zip code 😉 Super friendly staff, laundry facilities were fine, grounds are very well kept, didn’t peak at the pool but saw plenty of people enjoying it

Level sites, wifi was great, scan for many channels available, quiet yet near the freeway for easy on/off and glorious shade trees all around If we hadn’t booked our next stop already we would be staying here a few days longer VERY nice place

The folks at Betts Campground are so beyond accommodating, pleasant, and downright helpful The place is full every weekend, and most weeks during the summer, but the family atmosphere is so enjoyable that it doesn’t seem like there’s anyone around but you or your group Do not miss this wonderful place to stay on the South Dakota prairie!

Easy access to the interstate but you will hear road noice if camping Stayed at the Paradise cabin since we were coming in late We wanted the cabin with a bathroom

We got it but water pressure was a trickle and NO hot water Flushing the toilet took a few flushes Bathroom sink had hair in it Cabin was well- built but lacked any charm
