I loved our stay at the Hampton Inn in Montrose, Colorado! Our room was incredibly spacious, and very clean We had plenty of extra towels, pillows, blankets and other miscellaneous items The hotel breakfast had a lot of options and the staff was very helpful

I also loved how many drawers there were to store your personal belongings in the room, and how large the bathroom was Overall, would totally recommend!

Medic Man

All new upgrades except for the bed frames That’s the only reason this isn’t a five star review The bed frames were very noisy

I called the rest and they were very gracious about this They sent Kevin up to fix it He checked 10 other rooms and they all had the same issue The bed was comfortable just noisy so we stayed The workers were great and very accommodating We’ll come back again

Shelley Kern

The nicest and most helpful person at the front desk – unfortunately can’t remember her name, Cecilia? Started with a “C” However, the next day, the most unfriendly and least customer service oriented person at the front desk! In confirming the late checkout we were graciously granted the night before by the nice person, not only would this guy not smile or engage in a conversation, but said “well she may have said 12:00 checkout but I’m going to say 11:30” After he asked me to explain why we requested a late checkout, he gave us until noon

Felt like I had to grovel when we were already given a late checkout Funny however, that he was very nice to my husband Everyone else there was great

The North Rim is a hike to get there, but worth it! We got there around 11am so that we could get a decent campsite since there are only 13 spots (The South Rim was completely reserved) We were rewarded with options

We took spot number 1 which was pretty spacious and private You can take a short walk behind the site and have a great view of the canyon – we watched the sunset from the back of our siteThe vault toilets are stinky – but it is a haul to get there to service them There are also trash and recycling bins which we didn’t see at any other campgrounds on our weeklong trip The campground also has water The other sites don’t offer as much privacy – but then again, people are there to see the canyon A short walk from camp is the “Chasm View Trail”

Ora Ora Ora Ora

One of the best places to observe the night sky as it is far away from any city light pollution Check the weather before you go there All the basic campground facilities are available

If you are lucky enough, you will probably found your tent surrounded by deers in the morning Drinking water is also available which was kind of a surprise to us The park is underrated itself

I was so thankful that they had availability here when I pulled up I was stuck in Montrose due to a wreck and my dog and I needed a place to stay post haste What a great place to get stuck!Ms

Jennifer was so kind and accommodating and just super nice My room had a queen sized bed with a fridge, microwave, and tv There is a closet and a full bathroom I also had a little desk and a reading chair It felt very homey especially considering I was there eight days! The pool is BEAUTIFUL and while cold, you’ve just gotta plunge in and enjoy it!!! There is also a hot tub that provided great star gazing at nightMy room was so clean and the shower’s water pressure was on point! Located about a mile from quite a few placescoffee shop, lunch spots, main street antiquesI was able to walk to a bunch of places while I was without my car

If you have a puppy don’t bother We weren’t even there thirty minutes before we were approached by a questionable looking barefooted gentleman that said they can’t have the yapping After trying to explain to him how we would resolve the issue by putting one of the puppies in the truck for a while so he can calm down (with the A/C on of course) the man said ok you’re already getting short with me you guys have to go

We we’re planning on booking our 2 week business trip there but with that kind of attitude we’ll take our business elsewhere

Beautiful area with plenty of amenities

Medic Man

Only stayed one night and then Stayed at the Hampton Inn The beds were warm out like the rest of the hotel My back ached in the morning and I felt like I was fighting with the bed all night trying to get comfortable

The pillows were just as bad Our room was just above the breakfast area and every time someone scooted a chair you could hear it in the room We got in late and thought we would sleep in but as soon as breakfast started sleep ended The soap in the shower was out so bring your own Breakfast was fine and the workers were great This place needs some serious upgrades

Thomas Simpson (RisingUnicorn)

Holiday Inn double billed my hotel stay Good experience while at the hotel, but 1 night definitely isn’t worth the $600 they charged me I’ve called their front desk 6x so far during their business hours

Every time they’ve told me they’ll transfer me to the general manager and every time I’ve gone to their voicemail It’s been a week since my first call Would not recommend

The quality of this campground is amazing! The spacing between sites is perfect Although next to a road, it’s very quiet The owners are on site and helpful, as are the employees

We especially liked the dog walking area for our four-legged camping buddy! The bathrooms and laundromat are very clean We felt super safe and welcomed here! If we are ever back in the area, we’ll definitely be reserving a spot here!

One of the BEST parks in Colorado The owners Dave and Kathy and their staff are some of the best people in Colorado Shay in the front office and Carl in the maintenance department were a joy to get to know

Always so helpful Always a smile on their face We stayed here for 32 days We hated to leave We would highly recommend this park to anyone traveling on Hwy 550

The owners/managers of this hotel are thoughtful and purposeful in what they have included From the hand sanitizer and wipes included at check in to Paul Mitchell shampoo and conditioner to the bottle opener and coffee maker, microwave and fridge They provided mouthwash which I’ve never seen at a hotel and there was a nice rubber bath mat in the shower

The rooms are clean and we were able to have our dog stay in the food with us

Chris Zimmer

Nice hotel with nice hot tub! Close to everything Nicole, who works the front desk, is amazing She deserves a raise

She was very nice, efficient and helpful while we were there, and we ended up leaving behind a swimsuit as we went out of state! She has been super helpful in getting it mailed back to us and giving us unsolicited updates about status The hotel is nice, and Nicole makes it way better
