Great experience for our first time! Check in was a breeze and the employees were so friendly and helpful The hotel is very well decorated and small details did not go unnoticed We loved the “worms” in our bed 😜🐛 the breakfast area was small but nice and we started the day with a good breakfast

The pool was a little smaller than we had hoped and was packed especially with the hot tub being closed I did notice a decent workout room The rooms were cute and comfortable The bed sheets were a little noisy and crinkly sounding There was a slight odor in the room but nothing too terrible It was the perfect place to stay for our visit across the street to the Bass pro shops aquarium and museum It would be really nice to have a crosswalk connecting the lodge and the store across the street We had to run across four lanes of traffic with small kids I would definitely recommend staying here! Nice, affordable, clean, good service We will be back!

Rick Murphy

First time staying here was a great one The staff was pleasant and nice They was very helpful

I was paying with gift cards and the young lady (Kalyn) was nice and patient when there was a line to check in behind me She made sure as soon as we got there that our stay was going to be a good one My family had 2 adjoining rooms which was nice It was decorated nicely The place was clean and beds comfortable Breakfast was above average than most places I have stayed We will definitely stay again

Matthew Barnett

It was a pretty nice stay Staff was very nice Room could have been just a little bit cleaner

Didn’t really get much sleep, the neighbors were up all night, but that’s not really the staffs fault I guess they probably could start putting adults only rooms on the top floor, like they do at the Marriott Probably gonna airbnb a house next trip for less noise, but overall they done a good job

We had such a great experience at Holiday Inn Express  Every element of our stay exceeded my expectationsUpon check-in, everything was already all set up and ready to go

So smooth! Everyone I encountered at the front desk was always cheerful and pleasant and went out of their way to offer a greetingThe ladies attending breakfast were so upbeat!Sparkling, newly renovated rooms were extremely comfortableWill definitely stay again!

Michael Carlson

We had a very nice, clean room Why is it that every time we say we have four people (three adults, one child), we only get enough towels for two?The free breakfast was the worst I’ve experienced at a Holiday Inn Express The biscuits and gravy was cold

And ONLY turkey sausage? We did get a good night’s sleep in a comfortable room

Mandy G

Front desk was nice and they text you to make sure everything was okay Beds were comfortable and amenities were nice Huge continental breakfast for the am if that is one of your driving points

Biscuits and gravy, fresh fruit, pancakes, cereal, oatmeal, eggs, omelettes, sausage patties and links, cinnamon rolls, and I know I am forgetting items There was alot

Jacob and Halle Connors

This is THE place to stay Hands down the friendliest and most compassionate staff I have stayed in this hotel before and loved it, so naturally I booked it when I was in town for my dad’s funeral

After I had checked in, I found out my family members were staying in the Hampton Inn across the city Even though I had already checked in, the front desk staff refunded us our money and offered heartfelt condolences and prayers for my family I fully was willing to pay for both hotels as I had already been in the room, but they insisted on the refund My husband said we are Hilton brand people for life now The hotel itself is clean and convenient for eating and shopping I highly recommended it before and insist you stay there after my experience today

Linda Gragg

The room was clean The bed was very comfortable Only negative thing is The bath tub was a little slick and has a slight slope to it

Thank goodness it had a hand railThe staff is very friendly and helpful I would definitely stay here again

Lauren Bauer

This place was absolutely filthy I was booked for two nights November 2021 There was something (I think ants, I have pictures) underneath the mattress and crumbs in the bed

Then I noticed crickets on the floor There was also hair in the sink and on the bathroom counter I explained the situation and showed my picture to the front desk staff and I was offered the room next door instead However, I still was not comfortable staying there due to lack of cleanliness and checked out to another hotel The place definitely needs updated and deep cleaned

The breakfast was very good John did an excellent job cookingCame back 8 months later and stayed in the McCann room Loved it also This room was a little noisy because it is in the front of the house by the stop sign People sure love their loud vehicles We brought a box fan from home so no worries

Paulina Marie

Had a wonderful time for New Years Eve at this B&B! We loved how comfortable the bed was there and all the historical tributes throughout the house We stayed in the Wilder room, and the private balcony gave a great view of the surrounding area with a slight breeze They also had a delicious dinner for the occasion, complimentary drinks, and a savory breakfast! It really made our whole weekend memorable and special for a cozy, quiet holiday

Carla Shelby

Mary Kay ladies stayed here for convention They had classroom space available for our very large group, and it was located across from the Expo Center where the main event was located The restaurant had a great breakfast bar, and did a great job keeping up with the demands of hundreds of women! The rooms were nice, clean

I was especially grateful for the shuttle because some in our group were disabled and couldn’t walk back and forth from the Expo Center I didn’t like waiting for 30 minutes or more in line to use the only 2 elevators in the hotel, but I’m told that’s mostly due to the high number of ladies arriving/leaving all at the same time Overall, it was a great place to rest and refresh while being in a fun but exhausting event!

Anton Perreau

Probably one of the better hotels in town Plenty of parking, lobby is spacious and functional Hotel staff are well trained, friendly and know how to treat a guest

The rooms are SPACIOUS and the beds are super comfortable A/c temperature needs a little tweaking to be accurate, but that didn’t ruin our stay at allLobby could do with a lipstick remodel, but wasn’t ugly and didn’t feel any more like a time-warp than the rest of this part of America (lol)If you’re in town and need a place to stay, I’d recommend this place!

Caleigh Knight

Honestly if the conference wasn’t held here, I would never book here Rooms are decent size but nothing feels clean The rooms are also hot because the AC sucks and is just one tiny vent at the top of the wall

You can tell they don’t wash the comforters There were a few stains and they just felt old and dirty You only get 3 pillows per bed so if there’s more than one person per bed have fun with that Oh and yeah No fridge or microwave whatsoever So forget bringing back leftovers Also the outdoor pool has so much leaves and dirt built up along the sides it just felt gross Oh and to top matters off we found one plug in behind the TV and two more in one outlet if you unplug one of the lamps And they arent nice laps with the built in plug ins or anything so no luck there Would not recommend at all

The people who work here were truly kind, we really appreciated everyone from housekeeping to the people at the front door When having breakfast there was someone who asked if you needed any help and was happy to help in anyway Because of their service alone, I plan to come back to this hotel

It was pretty clean and the pool was nice for our child, there was plenty of seating and it was really comfy

Mary Morgan

We stayed for a single night as a little getaway for our family We stayed in the 2 Queens Studio- had 2 Queen beds and a sleeper sofa Our family of 5 (2 adults + 3 teenagers) fit comfortably in the room, plenty of space

The bathroom was much larger than expected, there was a kitchenette available with plenty of space to store our snacks and cold items The beds were super comfortable, 2 teenage girls on the sleeper sofa who even said it was comfortable! Will definitely stay here again if we’re in the area!

H.A. Christiansen

We typically stay at Hamptons as the beds are always comfortable and the rooms are clean and sanitized Staff is usually friendly and this location demonstrated service and friendliness to a new level This was the first Hampton where the breakfast staff asked if they could get you a coffee, juice or milk while you were getting your breakfast selections

Not only that, they watched when people finished and asked if they could dispose of the plates, plastic ware and cups This was a first for us

We had an absolutely fabulous time at this hotel The staff is incredible We felt so taken care of, the rooftop bar is amazing, the cocktails are hand crafted and delicious, and the bartenders are amazing! Allen was our bartender on our last night and he was fantastic, truly felt like we were having drinks with a friend when he was serving us

Also the hotel is extremely dog friendly, our small dog enjoyed the stay just as much as us! If you’re looking for a 5 star experience this is definitely the place to go Also within walking distance of all the downtown restaurants and bars

KATIE WOLF

Beautiful hotel with wonderful rooms and an amazing staff doing all they could to ensure our convention was a success The building has been beautifully renovated with gorgeous lounges and rooftop bar The Whiskey and Bourbon selection is the best I have seen at any hotel and the bartenders are all highly knowledgeable

Our room had a very cool art deco theme complete with a vintage vinyl record collection and a nice record player The in room fridge, safe, and coffee items were a wonderful added bonus The bed was very comfortable and the shower was amazing The water pressure was great! Each area of the hotel clearly had so much thought put into every decoration that it was almost as though a museum curator had come in to help The lobby of the building with the fitness center is incredible and a must see Highly recommend this hotel and we will definitely be back in the future Thank you to all the staff for a wonderful and stress free weekend

Trey Whitaker

This is a beautiful hotel with unique design elements We really appreciated the record player and albums We appreciated there ability to accommodate our dog

Our stay was everything Me & my husband were in town for 4 days and we loved it Our room was clean, all of the staff were super nice,(night and day staff) and the location was center to everything

Mall/food spots/not far from downtown The rooms had a sexy romantic feeling to it Breakfast was okay (warmed up burrito) but we went out to breakfast most mornings so that didn’t really matter Anyway, 5 star will come back and stay and recommend to others

Joanna Obuzor

The room was small and poorly designed There wasn’t a place to put my suitcase I ended up putting it on the only chair in the room

This half blocked the walkway to the window and it kept almost fallingThe rain shower was a lovely fixture but the shower was too smallThere wasn’t a nightstand I charge my phone at night and use it as an alarm I had to balance it on the headboardFront desk service was exceptional!

Susan Hofer

First time staying here First impression was good Helpful staff at check-in

Bed was very soft and a little low which made it a little difficult to get out of Discovered comforter on bed was dirty Front desk was helpful but no clean comforters were available Complimentary ear plugs are provided because street noise can be quite loud Bathroom was clean Not sure I can recommend and doubt I’ll stay here again

Rhonda Hoffman

This was my first stay at Greenstay and it was the reviews that encouraged me to try them out It was my experience that earned this review The staff was wonderful – pleasant, friendly, and just what I needed after being on the road all day

Their claim to be a pet-friendly hotel was right! Because they were able to, they purposely put us in a ground floor room with door access to their green area outside The room was clean, no odors whatsoever, comfy bed and pillows, and toiletry amenities Not too long after we got settled in, the front desk called to see if we needed anything Great price on the room too 10⭐️

Brandy Tracy

Our check in was HORRIBLE We got to the hotel at 2:20, and we were told there was NO way we could check in until 4 We were there for a soccer tournament, so we were hoping for a few minutes to let the kids rest between games

When we found out we couldn’t check in, we went into town to waste a little bit At 3:20 I call the hotel to see if there was any way we could get checked in and the girl at the desk tells me, sure that check in is 3, there is no problem (we would have just waited there had we known we could have checked in at 3 rather than 4)When we got to the room, it was clean, the beds were not the most comfortable, two adults in a full size bed was not ideal, but I guess my fault for assuming that a double room came with at least queen size beds the sheets and blankets where thin, I spent most of the night cold and uncomfortable, and woke to a swollen face as I was allergic to something in the pillowThe breakfast was the best part of our stay It was better than most of the hotels breakfast you can get We choose this because of the price Next time I’ll spend the extra and go someplace where we’re more comfortable

Tom Ballard

This really is a bottom of the barrel place to stay! Looks good in the photo, but that is where the quality begins and ends The place smells when you walk in The carpet is worn out

The furniture in the room must be from thrift stores, the bed was the worst, and I found little whisker hairs on the sheets There was no hair conditioner, and the temp controls are the worst The thing that really stood out was the medical syringe on the bathroom floor I called front desk and they came got it, but, really, would you want to stay here??? I think not!!! I can say the breakfast was fairly decent! It might have been the best part if the visit!!! But, I assure you, I was glad to leave the place!!!!

Lena was such a pleasant face to see at check in and the whole time we were the She is so friendly and welcoming! I don’t know if she’s the manager but she should be! Our rooms were nice, beds pretty comfortable the only the only thing I would improve on would be the toiletries offered the bottles are so small they are used up in one setting Might want update to the ones self pump ones in the showers

Overall we had a great stay as we transitioned from moving out of one house and then, waiting to move into a new home

Elvia Eden

Upon entering we were greeted warmly by the clerk We were checked in quicklyThe hotel was clean

The room was clean However, the beds were quite uncomfortable The mattress was hard The pillows on the queen sized bed where the size of slightly oversized throw pillows We asked for another blanket the night we arrived and were provided with a foamy looking, scratchy “blanket,” if it can be called thatThis hotels does allow pets, dogs could be heard barking late into the night Also, this hotel was not particularly quiet We could hear everyone in the rooms next door, doors closing were extremely loudPool area was lacking, the two times my family went down to swim we had to ask for towels The pool had a green tinge to the bottom of it Pool was heavily chlorinated So, much so that it caused my 4 year old and a few other of my families kiddos to break out in a rash on their face The kids enjoyed it none the lessThe free breakfast consisted of hard boiled eggs, cereal – Cheerios and Froot Loops, granola, two kinds of yogurt, and mini muffinsBreakfast on Saturday and Sunday is until 10am Weekdays it is available until 9amCheck out time we were told was 11am when we booked So we rushed around to get out on time, then when we checked out, our receipt stated check out was at noonTl;Dr: clean hotel, nice people, uncomfortable beds, loud at times, pool lacking, free breakfast just okay

mary jenkins

Enjoyed our 1 night stay They had hot breakfast, it wasn’t gourmet or anything but pretty enjoyable They had cheese omelet, sausage, biscuits and sausage gravy, waffles, cold (cheerios etc

) and hot (oatmeal etc) cereals, toast, bagels, muffins, yogurt, and hard boiled eggsOur room was perfect No complaints from us The location is close to everything

Surprisingly nice Rooms seemed to be recently remodeled, everything was clean and well-lit, the breakfast selection was decent Coffee was available in the lobby all day

The pool area was clean and well stocked although the pool room is badly designed so that any noise echoes around so much it almost deafens you The staff were very friendly and accommodating and they offered a variety of kitchen appliance you could borrow and use in your kitchenette, like a rice cooker, blender, etc

Frecky Lewis

My wife and kids stayed here for two nights The staff couldn’t be more pleasant, both the desk staff and those who work the bar/restaurant We had a two-bedroom suite, and it was functional but a little on the small side

the faucet in the bathroom sink had an odd spray pattern to it and the shower faucet was a little on the weak side But the room was basically clean and comfortable; I just think the hotel is a little older and showing its age We didn’t have too much vehicular noise despite being directly across the street from Mercy Hospital

Kelli Roberts

Very nice rooms It’s always nice to have a kitchen available while traveling Beds are comfortable and there’s enough work space for two people

The gym and breakfast were both nice No complaints!

Nice full sized beds, clean room, very friendly staff Even during construction/remodeling of the roof I heard no noise and had no complaints Slept like a baby

The only weird thing was the toilet and shower are behind a separate door while the sink is in the bedroom with you, but the door is a sliding pocket door instead of a regular hinge door so that was a little weird Also, the shower isn’t a normal shower It’s a curve capsule type thing, not a normal stall The walls are a curved, but it’s bigger than it originally looks after you open the glass shower door Just don’t expect any of your shower stuff to stay on the shower shelf because it is also curved so everything slides off Indoor pool was heated and felt great! Also had a jacuzzi which was nice and hot Pool has a deep end of only 5 feet and for someone short like me, that was nice Overall, would stay at again

KLM

Rooms are older but very clean Bed was comfortable Shower is the little round kind but the water pressure was fantastic!Wonderful service from check in to check out

Kitchen staff was polite and efficient Food was normal biscuits, gravy, sausage, eggs, pancakes etc Served warm and plentyLocation was slightly difficult to find but once there the location was great Walking distance to convenience store and Texas RoadhouseOhalmost forget The Donuts!! Way to go what a treat💖🍩Reasonably priced, so I Would most definitely stay here again

jmeeaver6

We had an impromptu stay for my birthday My wife and I were without kids for the evening We had to pay a 250

00 deposit for the room because we were local I think it’s a silly policy, but they were one of the only hotels in Springfield that would even rent a room to someone who lives locallyif it wasn’t for that policy, I would have given a higher rating Staff was great and room was clean and invitingrating is not a reflection of the property or staff, just the silly deposit policythey said it is because locals have trashed the rooms previously, but anyone from anywhere could do that, so doesn’t make sense to me They say the deposit gets returned in 2 to 10 days

The rooms were clean for the most part I had a spider crawl across my foot on the bed When I was looking for it I lifted the mattress

Don’t do that! There were all kinds of crumbs, and bits on the platform under the mattress The beds were a bit on the stiff side and the pillows flat They seem environmentally friendly The staff was very friendly and helpful The breakfast was okay Cheese omelets, thin bacon, pancakes, yogurt, and fruit All in all I would stay there again if I was in town

We usually stay at the Doubletree in Springfield and are used to their hospitality and quality While this Tru hotel looked new and nice it is missing many amenities that we are used to at pretty much every other hotel for more than triple the price My husband and I are both diamond Hilton members, but we’re unable to get a double bed room so that we had room for our 2 kids which was originally fine, but they also did not have any cots available because they were fully booked – no big deal, we bought one thinking there would be room for it because the room we got is handicap accessible

I have no idea how this room is handicap accessible because there was barely room to walk in it, let alone use a wheelchair The shower was also not floor-level or have hand rails, also not wheelchair accessible No coffee in rooms and ran out of coffee downstairs before 730am No closet in the room and it had an ironing board but no room to actually set it up The breakfast was pretty standard as far as what was offered, but the pancake machine undercooked them which my kids thought was gross and the eggs were watered down a LOT Since the hotel was booked up, the prices were absurd$330/night for almost nothing as far as amenities We are switching to another hotel for the rest of our stay – more amenities, much larger rooms and $96/night Won’t be staying in another Tru by Hiltonfirst world problems, but for $330 a night, I expected to at least be comfortable
