I stayed at the Home2 on business and had a great stay The property was in an excellent location within walking distance to downtown restaurants and bars The rooms were spacious and clean

Lauren at the front desk was the real MVP though She greeted us with a smile and was eager to be of help She was knowledgeable of the area and offered great suggestions I’ll certainly request to stay at the Home2 next time i’m in Tuscaloosa

DO NOT stay at this hotel!!! We are Hilton lifetime diamond members This Hilton property is by far one of the worst experiences we have ever had First, the place is being run by a bunch of unprofessional kids who are on their phones and act like they can’t be bothered

Half of the plugs in our room did not work The room phone did not work Terrible water pressure There was a dangerous mass of wires hanging out of the air conditioning unit We ask for maintenance at 11 am on Saturday and we were told that they had already left for the day We were also told at 11 am on a very busy Saturday that there was no manager available and would be no manger on Sunday as well One of the two elevators were broken and the guests were having to share the one operating elevator with housekeeping One of the two microwaves at breakfast was broken and there were no fresh options other than bread, no fruit, no yogurt, etc We were unable to use points to book the room and the nightly fee was more than $400 a night

Bridget Batchellor

We had a wonderful stay! Comfortable, clean, free breakfast, and great customer service Definitely can’t ask for more! Good location if you don’t mind a short drive for things, it’s 1 mile from UAIF you’re looking for close proximity walking to shops and food, then I recommend finding something on the other side of University Blvd

past highway 43S

Richard at the front desk was very welcoming Just a genuine, kind person The grounds & Lodge ( it’s not a hotel, it’s much, much more than that so let’s call it a Lodge) were beautifully maintained

Our room was spacious although it was one of the smaller rooms Clean & the bed was just right Our windows overlooked an enchanting walkway into the woods The full on breakfast was good and was more than continental The Lodge was very quiet but I read if a wedding reception etc is going on you might need to be in a room farther away from the house Us – we would have crashed and partied with the group🤣! This is where you want to stay!We only got to stay one night but I highly recommend it to anyone looking for old world charm and ambience

The hotel has a lot of amenities and amazing staff Unfortunately, the rooms are poorly renovated and cared for daily The rooms had carpet spots, marks on the walls, dusty vents, damage furniture, rushed vents and pipes in bathroom, mold around the sink, door and mirrors were not cleaned especially at the bottom

The rooms and certain places of the smelled like mold but is cover with a horrible strong smelling fragrance spray

Caroline Hackney

Our stay here was comfortable and enjoyable The hotel has an understated elegance and fits in very well with the architecture of the rest of the campus Our room was pleasant with comfy beds and everything we needed, except possibly a shower cap and some places to hang up towels

It was also a little tricky to close the cabinet door where the fridge was, but these were minor inconveniences in what was overall a great place to stay It was a nice surprise to discover that staying here gave us free access to the museum next door Would recommend staying here

Stopped here on a road trip Friendly, welcoming staff Clean room

Good breakfast with good variety It is just off the highway which is a plus but also have to deal with the highway noise I took one star away due to the loud noise from the highway traffic making it hard to sleep If you can get a room on the opposite side of the highway, I would recommend this hotel

This hotel is superb! Very nice rooms, comfortable, clean and accommodating Customer service was welcoming, friendly and professional Nice large parking area to enter & exit for large vehicles

Loved the location Brenda and Kathy were so nice and helpful Check in and check out were a breeze, and housekeeping is consistent

I have no complaints, the room was spotless I felt so comfortable and tranquil during my entire stay If you’re looking for a quiet area in town that’s still close to all the amenities Tuscaloosa has to offer, this is the place to go

Jessica Dial

My husband and I stayed one night on 2/25/2022, the hotel was very nice and clean Autumn at the front desk was amazingly helpful and super sweet Only gave 4 stars because it could have been a touch cleaner, there were cobwebs on the wall and the full-length mirror, and some dirt on the floor of the bathroom, and the tub has someone else’s hair which is gross to me

The walls were also VERY thin our neighbor snored that’s all we heard ALL NIGHT LONG So that was enough of a deterrent that we won’t be staying again But it’s all according to your needs, and I would not tell anyone not to stay there We are just don’t do well with noises in hotels 7/10 would recommend but not the hotel for us

Kishina Brown

For this to be a new hotel I figured the accommodations would be just a little bit better especially for the price, but for a Comfort Inn property I see why they go down hill pretty quick First the room was half cleaned from the coins and trash I found on the floor Then after staying for two nights I asked for maid service and once I thought the room was cleaned I noticed the bed was made but the sheets were not changed and the bathroom was just restocked with towels and the counter wiped down but the used towels were not discarded

The plus was the fact the staff was very friendly, the breakfast was good, and the lobby nd elevators were very clean

I’ve stayed here twice as a midway point driving between North Carolina and Texas Both times I have made a reservation with little notice and arrived quite late, and the staff have never taken issue I travel with my hypoallergenic cat who the staff are always eager to meet before I bring him upstairs

I like that on the pet deposit form they even ask for his name (yes, you do have to pay extra for a pet, but it is cheaper than at other hotels) The rooms are always impeccably clean You’ll never find a hair that isn’t yours, and the rooms are well decorated, modern, and comfortable I only sleep there but the downstairs amenities seem quite nice, if you’re eating there, grabbing a snack, or socializing Check out is simple and there is always well lit parking right in the front I will always use this hotel as my stopping point for future trips

Matt Cerf

The place is fine, but a lot of details are a little off, like no TV channel on the gym equipment (though they have a peloton bike) the toilet was running constantly

but the shower took a bit of jiggling to get goingBreakfast was good though Overall a good experience but the facility need a bit of attention

Caroline Lafferty

I stayed here from 7/10-7/15 We booked this hotel so we could visit the University of AlabamaPros:The hotel is close to the University of Alabama, restaurants, and shops

The staff is very friendly There is a large closet that was great to use, and the beds are comfortableCons:Our room was not very clean upon checking in There was hair in the sheets and popcorn in the bathroom There was no soap to wash our hands with The shampoo and conditioner in the shower was empty Our toilet ran for our entire stay We contacted maintenance, however the person who could fix the problem was not available The wifi is AWFUL, our computers would not work, and we were unable to use some of the features on the TV because of the wifi Maintenance equipment and laundry were constantly in the halls There are several shipping containers in the parking lots along with construction equipment I believe the hotel is undergoing much needed renovations I would hope that all of the above problems will be resolved with the updates

I can’t say enough great things about this hotel! Ample parking, close to campus, super clean rooms and great atmosphere The staff is super fantastic Brittany works super hard to make sure the prices are very reasonable and she even works with the guests to get things needed to improve their stay! Katie works hard with the staff to make sure you feel welcome upon arrival If you want a nice hotel to stay in this is the place to be

I stay in a lot of hotels and I have yet to find a place this great

Turk Wilson

Top notch place In the process of being renovated but it was still extreme well kept, clean, and no disturbances Rooms are nice rooms and are also being upgraded

The manager, with the initials of BT, is absolutely phenomenal She goes out of her way, miles above and beyond what’s required

Lacie Clem

Check in was easy Hallways were really dark and smelled like mildew Our room was clean but dated

The carpets need to be shampooed though, they made my sons feet extremely dirty as if he was walking outside without shoes Pool was really nice and seemed fairly new or recently renovated Gym was extremely small so it was pretty crammed if someone else was in there with you Breakfast was a basic eggs, bacon, cereal, kind of thing but my husband found a hair cooked into his omelette and another hair in his bacon so we decided to eat elsewhere This hotel is okay if you need somewhere to sleep for the night The staff was very helpful and nice throughout our stay though!

Seriously one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed We had a conference hosted there and the staff was incredible They went above and beyond for us in every aspect of the stay

Had an open bar in the evenings and free breakfast that was outstanding (great selection of food, not cheap powdered eggs and such like other hotel breakfasts) The guy that checked us in was delightful and made sure all of us were taken care of Excellent stay, excellent service, excellent food and amenities Highly recommended!

The hotel is very nice The decor is inviting and modern Trying to get to the hotel was a little difficult if you listen to your Google maps

The staff was very professional, from the front desk to the housekeeper and the ladies that manager the free breakfastWe had been traveling all day so all we wanted was a hot shower and a good night’s sleep The beds are super comfy; plenty of hot waterThe free breakfast was awesome, plenty of choicesExcellent stay! Would highly recommend!

Ryan Strain

The personnel were helpful and very friendly Our room wasn’t particularly the cleanest The pull out sofa had a giant stain and was full of candy remnants and old lollipop sticks

The outlets in the room were almost unusable as you couldn’t plug anything in to all but 2 of them Breakfast was included and was over all pretty good You certainly get what you pay for at the price(one of the cheaper ones we found), but our overall experience has us deciding we won’t stay here again

My mother and I were traveling from Dallas, TX to Wilmington, NC We had been on the road for more than 10 hours We needed a pet-friendly hotel, and we referred to LaQuinta by another hotel that did not take pets

When we called to make sure that they had a room, the woman who answered was not inviting or helpful When we got there, there was another hotel next door, and had they taken pets, we would have stayed there However, they did not When we arrived, we were not greeted with a smile or any kind of greeting We felt like we were imposing on this person Later, I went to get a soft drink, and after waiting while she checked another guest in, she looked at me out of the corner of her eye and said, “Do you want that charged to the room or are you paying?” I told her I was paying and she said, “Two dollars” and looked away I put my two dollars on the counter and went back to the room Don’t expect friendly service at the desk The hotel itself was clean, our room was very nice It was convenient to Route 20
