Enjoyed our stay at Foxwoods We stayed for the first time in a Producer Suite and it was very clean and spacious The king size bed was very comfortable and the shower was great

Requested a view of pool and woods and they did have a room available after getting there about an hour after check in on a Sunday Only real disappointment was the casino of the Fox Tower on Monday night only had a couple table games going that were full and all the rest were closed Grand Pequot area was more crowded but we like the rooms better at the Fox Tower Overall, great stay and the staff were helpful and nice

Jay Allain

Obviously, the pandemic has challenged most entities – perhaps especially those who deal directly with guests That being said, Fox Towers stands out for its stellar reputation and overall access to any memorable Casino’s essentials – kindly staff, cleanliness and a range of dining and gaming options Being flanked by a spacious outdoor pool carved from Mashantucket’s legendary woods is also a gorgeous summer perk

And inside, The Red Lantern offers a varied Asian fusion menu and vibrant dining experience to surely entice any diner to return

Our first room smelled like weed, and dirty laundry There was a dirty sock left behind from a previous guest right in the middle of the floor, and it was extremely hot We spoke to the person at the desk and switched rooms

Our new room was nice , clean and the ac worked There were women screaming, slamming doors, and fighting in the hallway all night The room was just ok Nothing special Definitely not what you expect for over $500 per night We won’t stay here again

hotel is nice, and the beds in our room were very comfortable, but the carpet always smelled like pee from the moment you walk through the door, you get a big whiff of pee; it was awful i’m not positive, but i think the cleaning staff only makes the beds and gives new towels because the smell never went away all 5 days we were there, and it never looked actually clean

front desk staff was very kind though

We had a wonderful stay at the Hyatt in Mystic It was clean, and we loved the room We stayed in a King and the sitting room with couch within the room was really nice to spread out in while we had some computer work to do

Nice layout and more spacious than most hotel rooms at the same rate The staff were friendly and professional, and breakfast was yummy We’ll definitely come back if we need to stay in Mystic again

Gia Gasparino

I enjoyed staying at this Hyatt so much All of the staff was so helpful and kind especially, Jamie, Dana, Iyanna & Zuleyka (and many others) They went out of their way to make our stay so comfortable and were very helpful and accommodating

We were going through a difficult time, and they went above and beyond to make us feel at home I highly recommend this location as the staff made it a wonderful place to call home while away

Ana Knoblock

It was a good hotel for being cheap and on the outskirts of the town It was definitely more of a motel feel but had some nice additions such as the pool and the restaurant The bed could have been better- it was ancient and not super comfortable! The bathroom was also not amazing, the tub is in serious need of replacement

This is a great place to stay again if you don’t need a lot of extra amenities!

Andrea Berntson

Nice night away Staff was very accommodating Room was big and clean, does look older but had its charm

We had a fireplace and were given a duralog to burn and it lasted hour Oversized jacuzzi tub was a nice addition and the water was nice and hot Close to lots of local things like the nice little shops near the aquarium Only down side is the continental breakfast is To-go bags filled with items that are more snack like so, I would suggest just going out to breakfast if you want something more Would definitely come back again as we had a nice time

Kim Janiga

My boyfriend and I made reservations to stay here for two nights, but after arriving, decided we would only be staying for one night The pictures online are very deceiving The place is in need of some serious renovating and general maintenance (see attached pictures)

The mattresses were very old and not comfortable We were told we would be getting a room with a “water view” As you can see in the picture, there is a view of the water in the far distance, past the parking lot and dumpster shed We called the office about a half hour after arriving and told them we would not be staying the second night The girl did not ask why or if there was anything they could do to improve our stay If you are looking for a well maintained, quaint inn, this is not the place for you Unfortunately, it is more like an outdated motel I regret not reading more of the reviews before booking

The staff was AMAZING The rooms are ok There was a stain on the sheets

Thank GOD I bring my own sheets And the 3nights I stayed there I was killing spiders They were all over I’m very scared of bugs so I couldn’t sleep the whole time knowing there wad spiders in the room and bathroom The first place I saw them was on the towels when I first got there Then on the desk then by the phone and then on the pillow I did not sleep at all You guys need to really bomb that place Nobody should have 2 go through that The outside grounds was kept nice The breakfast was good And again the staff was AMAZING

B. Lee

25 stars no microwave, no refrigerator, elevator is SLOW, toilet flushes terribly you have to keep your hand on the knob to make it flush all the way, the television is up high on an armoire and there’s a divider type piece coming from the wall so when you turn the television if your sleeping in the far other end of the room you can not get a good view of the television They offer complimentary breakfast

Ample parking lot Spots are narrow and tight so when people park carelessly they get to close to your car making it almost impossible to open the door

Upon checking in I thought okay just like any other Holiday Inn walked into the room and they are SO OUTDATED!!!!!!!!! The room smelled stale and musty

The television is so SMALL and comes in grainy The toilet smelled like urine the tub was stained and chipped The room had a desk chair with NO DESK The DO NOT DISTURB sign was missing The bed is bouncy The bed skirt is stained a dark brownish color Thought about removing but afraid of what was underneath The parking lot is small and spots fill up fast Having to park far away and walking back and fourth is a nuisance The door to the bathroom is to close to the toilet and the bathtub Not enough towels The lights are dim and yellow Honestly this whole experience makes me upset and sad at the same time Spent so much money to stay here I want a refund

The conference center and other public spaces were clean, modern, and nicely done The rooms were also clean and newly furnished Sadly, the rooms employ several terrible trends that are already dated

Why, why, WHY did anyone every think to make the bathroom door a sliding barn door with frosted glass? This affords no privacy, and ensures that you will wake your spouse up if your turn on the light when you get up to pee at 2am It’s a terrible idea! I was also really surprised that the floors of the room were tile rather than carpeted I guess this is more sanitary and easier to clean, but it gave the room a very institutional feel that was akin to a hospital or dorm room – certainly not the vibe I would expect at this price point The ability to sign into your own Netflix or YouTube on the TV was nice, although I didn’t take advantage of this I also really appreciated that the bed was comfortable and I was able to get a good night’s sleep

The hotel is beautiful We stayed here as part of a “wedding weekend ” The best part was that our room was ready for an earlier check in after a 4 hour drive, witth little time to get ready for the wedding

The room was very well appointed and “roomy” We enjoyed drinks at the very nice bar and enjoyed the spectacular buffet breakfast The omelet station prepared wonderful omelets for our entire party While “pricey” the hotel made for a great stay during a long weekend

gina marandino

I went here for a work function my room was on a corner which was beautiful I loved the way that it was decorated very clean very new very updated The food for a work function was very basic but very good I was a little confused and that the lunch seemed more like a dinner and it did or seemed more like a lunch in terms of the choices but that was probably not on them 🙂 they did a great job with supplying us with water and coffee and snacks during our event

The only criticism I have to maybe give is that the bar closes a bit early but otherwise we had a great time

This was our first visit to Mystic Beautiful town and our stay at Steamboat Inn was perfect The parking lot was a little difficult to find and parking can be crowded

GPS wasn’t really a big help so maybe a map on website would help?? The Inn is so perfect The staff is very helpful and the rooms make you feel like you’re at home We stayed in the Mystic room, a quiet corner room overlooking the water Started our sightseeing day with their complimentary breakfast at our own reserved table Everything was delicious We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Mystic

Nicole Stein

Stayed here during an overnighter to Mystic First time staying and visiting The Inn is quite lovely and charming

We booked the Marie Gilbert room and had a full wallof windows overlooking the river close to the bridge The room was beautiful and the bed was comfy Staff was pleasant and walked us up to our room on arrival and gave us some useful information about the in-room wine dispenser, the keys, and the breakfast area You choose your complimentary breakfast and dining time upon check in It’s a nice gesture, but not for us It just wasn’t our usual breakfast meal choices We ate despite this and it was okay If you follow the instructions, you will eventually find the parking It’s just around the bend by the condos Parking was extremely crowded the day we checked in I would have given 5 stars, but there were ink stains on the sheets and one of the pillowcases; when I pulled the curtains completely closed, there was a lot of dust in the pleats; and, the shelf in the bathroom was loose I put my toiletry bag up there and thought the shelf was going to fall down If we visit again, we would stay here

After checking out their website, we were very excited for our first stay here Unfortunately it did not live up to expectations The website promised, “unsurpassed white-glove service” but we received anything but

We were told upon arrival that the lounge would be open around 5, but after waiting an hour and a half, we finally overheard the front desk associate tell another guest that it wouldn’t be opening tonight It would have been nice to have been made aware of that before booking the room Before arriving, an employee called us to ask if we wanted anything to drink in our room The water we requested was never provided There was a table near the guest rooms with a sign that stated, “enjoy this nightcap compliments of Spicer Mansion management” Nothing was ever provided The carafe of orange water in the lobby was empty and never refilled our whole stay The observatory was littered with empty cocktail glasses and when we went back the next morning, nothing was clean We never saw one employee besides the front desk associate who was trying her best despite no help from anyoneOn the other hand, our room was clean, and very comfortable I just wish the stay lived up to expectations White glove service? More like no service at all

Trish M.

The mansion was beautiful and this was a surprise trip for my daughter’s birthday The tour began with champagne and then we were informed that our room has no airconditioning When i was surprised by that information, the woman stated that was why the room was so cheap which is ridiculous as I wouldn’t book a room without AC

($39900 per night) The last thing you want is a warm hotel room after traveling for 4+ hours They set us up with two fans and i requested an additional one in the bedroom, however the rest of the suite was hot They were apparently sold out so they couldn’t move usI discussed with the “manager” at the front desk that I expected some type of refund He indicated they only just found out about the air conditioning right before we arrived They eventually showed up with a birthday dessert for my daughter and they did refund me $15000 for the inconveniencePoor management and dishonest business I would not recommend

Sharon Gottlieb

Facility and its staff were lovelyHowever rooms were not properly maintained —- if we wanted to deal with broken things, we could have stayed home But the outrageous situation is that owner will not process an Amex refund for duplicate charges of almost $800 which are clearly reflectedon our checkout folio reflecting a credit balance

Keeps doing the little side-step which has been perfected to an art form We understand that there may be an impending bankruptcy issueYou’ve been warned — if you must proceed — do so with caution

This place was amazing I usually have a bad experience at most hotels but the staff here really made the stay memorable Everyone from the front desk to the cleaning crew were super nice and hospitable

The breakfast was delicious and many vegetarian options Normally hotels aren’t big in the quality of the food but Courtyard doesn’t hold back We will definitely be staying here again in the future!

This is one of the top two nicest courtyard Marriotts I’ve ever stayed at It is incredibly clean, and very modern Breakfast is not included but they do have a bistro

Most if not all the rooms also have balconies, and their beds are super comfortable All of the staff here is wonderful but I have to say that one person in particular name Mateo (one of the hosts) will go out of his way to not only make you feel welcome, but make sure that you have everything you need

We checked and the room obliviously wasn’t fully clean, floors were really dirty and only one bath size towel was in our double queen room In the morning we stopped by the front desk to make sure our room would actually get cleaned to be told they don’t do daily service I asked if they could at least vacuum our room and leave towels which wasn’t done

The peep whole was removed and a tissue was placed in the hole to block it On the last night of our stay the people above us were able to use their key to enter our room We immediately called the front desk multiple times to no one answering I called customer care and they reassure me someone would be up to address the issue momentarily, waited 30 minutes no one came When we went to check out the “manager” immediately address the issue by joking around if we don’t want anyone coming into our room we should shut the door After the night we had that’s a highly inappropriate answer and when question why she didn’t answer our calls or come up she stated that the phones don’t work As someone who worked in hotels for over 5 years I’m highly dissatisfied by the over stay The lack of cleanliness and customer service I will never stay at this hotel again Horrible service and cleanliness made our stay one we will not forget We were willing to overlook the cleanliness because everywhere has been hit by covid but with the breach of security and the blame for everything getting shifted to us it was the straw that broke the camel’s back

Rose Yates

First I have to say that all of the staff was extremely friendly and helpful This review was almost a one star but the staff turned my whole experience around and made it right The bed was super comfy and even though they aren’t doing housekeeping right now the staff made sure my family and I had everything we needed very quickly and efficiently

We will definitely be staying here again

Karen McGonagle

If I could leave more stars, I would based on the incredible and caring customer service we received Jessica, the general manager, was attentive and went above and beyond to help us navigate some challenges we had when our car had an issue and were trying to navigate getting and caring for the rescue puppy that we were picking up nearby She did so without us even asking and always with a smile on her face

The room was newly renovated and our kids really enjoyed the indoor pool We will remember this stay and Jessica for a long time

The gentleman who checked me in was professional, friendly, knowledgeable and efficient Outstanding service The room was even nicer than expected

I had reserved a king studio suite This was the last night of our vacation and the room was the nicest one we had the entire trip (we had stayed at 4 other hotels on this trip before our stay here) The room was spacious, very clean, had contemporary furnishings and an extremely comfortable bed The breakfast was really delicious, too And it was priced the same as a regular king room we had stayed at earlier in the week A great stay, would highly recommend this hotel!

The front desk staff are all very nice and accommodating However, this is a Hilton in need of renovation We were given an upgrade to a Deluxe room which was very kind but I can only imagine the lesser rooms

We had torn curtains, furniture that was old and worn, old bathrooms with fixtures and toilets that can barely be cleaned well any longer This hotel should be re-branded as a Hampton Inn, or renovatedBreakfast was nice and I must say at a reasonable price for a hotel

C J

I gave it 3 stars because the food we had for a large event was absolutely inedible (F-) Worse than a high school lunch No one ate their meal and that was from 3 selections

But the breakfast buffet was an AThe rooms were great Clean and up to date I liked how they set up all amenities Comfy beds The Big minus, only could set the a/c at 60° as the lowest With four people in a room getting ready and it’s warm outside, this is not cool enough That suckedThe people who served us the entire time PHENOMENAL Hard working, courteous, quick, very nice Kudos to themOverall, a great place to stay Just eat somewhere else!

The rooms are so clean Love the swimming pool and restaurant They have a kids menu and they have stuffed animals in the gift shop

Right across the street from the acquarium and shops Super kid friendly I just think the price is high for check in time not being until 4pm and check out at 11am, if you’re only staying one night it doesn’t give you much time

Nice hotel but I wouldn’t say it’s “family oriented” most guests that are here are couples or more adults They offer a shuttle from 4pm-1am to the casino So again not very family oriented

Rooms are not that large due to the huge couch it takes up so much of the rooms space They don’t give you many towels They don’t offer a microwave in your room Which was a HUGE problem for our stay Breakfast is complimentary from 7am-11am Parking is complimentary as well

We stood there for two night to enjoy the casino for our honeymoon The room were clean! I always check everything before settling in As being a house keeper my self

The bed was awesome, the water pressure was excellent Jonathan was very helpful & friendly The only downfall was we wanted to order wings after having some drinks and they told us the oven was down The breakfast was great also

The hotel itself is clean, modern, rooms are spacious and the free breakfast is lovely The staff, however, is what really sets this hotel apart and is why I will return time and time again I recently stayed with my daughter and upon getting home, she realized that much to her horror, she left her beloved baby blanket in the room

I called the hotel and spoke to Grace at the front desk who took it on herself to find this beloved blanket She called back within 10 minutes saying she not only found it but reassured me we would get it back swiftly It’s times like this you are reminded there are far more good people in the world who really care Thank you Grace and the entire staff at Hyatt Place at Mohegan for making not only our stay enjoyable, but who made a memorable difference in my daughters life!!!

Stayed here for one night while my teenage daughter was attending a concert at Mohegan Sun The hotel is nicely decorated and room was laid out nicely and seemed clean, but nothing fancy However, one of the beds seems to have not had the sheets changed; there was a clothing store tag inside and a yellow stain

We were also awakened at 3 AM by extremely loud guests across the hall which carried on for some time All in all, it seemed like the type of room you would normally pay about $90 for, not $365 which was our final bill

Absolutely horrendous customer service Arrived for my stay and was informed that the pool was closed Spoke with the front desk personnel and explained that I was traveling with children that expected to swim

After some deliberation I was told that although I booked in advance she would refund my trip and had spoken with her manager Fast forward a 3 weeks and Fairfield Inn Uncasville has only issued a partial refund and the general manager has assured me that I am lying and no refund will be issued Nothing like spending your hard earned money on something you never receive

Jeffrey Jaegel

Room facing street was traffic noisy Staff were very friendly Big assist was lending me a corkscrew

Ha Casino shuttle was not running this Monday night Oh well, not very far by car Breakfast was prepackaged egg, pork patty, cheese on bagle or biscuit, which were quite good Better than digging around in a tin full of scrambled eggs King bed room with sitting area and two tv’s was nice and clean

Mermaid Inn is one of my favorite retreats ever! The B&B is so warm and inviting not only by its pure overall presence, therooms and decor but by the most gracious host, Josephine Rooms are cozy and beds super comfortable All the amenities you need are at your fingertips

Also, breakfast is such a wonderful way to start the day Josephine prepares such great dishes and accommodates all sorts of food issues Mermaid Inn is my go-to if I am going to be in the Mystic area overnight

The Mermaid Inn is an amazing choice when staying in Mystic We’ve typically stayed elsewhere on previous visits, but know we’ll be back to the Mermaid Inn next time we’re in town Quaint little B&B just a 3-minute walk from everything downtown Mystic has to offer

Josephine was extremely friendly and welcoming Breakfast was great with plenty of choices and the house has a lot of great outdoor seating on the wrap-around deck Rooms were cozy but still felt private, and everything was clean

Beautiful old house with tons of character and charm The hosts Carol and Ted are very interesting people, and very welcoming The rooms are filled with many thoughtful touches

Even though we didn’t use it too much, we also appreciated the technology for streaming in each room We stayed one night in the Adelaide room and intend to be back, perhaps to try the Elizabeth room next The breakfast is absolutely delicious

My wife and I visited Captain Grant’s for our wedding night and weekend in July 2021 We could not have chosen a more perfect Inn to patronizeStaff:The owners and staff were personable, friendly, and attentive

Knowing it was our wedding weekend they went out of their way to celebrate us with a Breakfast Toast that still moves me when I think of it today,Accommodations:The room was everything we wanted in an Inn specializing in an old New England experience At the same time, modern conveniences are masterfully woven in so that they are available without hurting the esthetic The bed was comfortable, the shower roomy, and the atmosphere perfect for a couple’s first nightFood:Breakfast was delicious and beautifully presented each morning The coffee was rich, the conversation stimulating, and the senses pleasantly overwhelmed with tasty morning fairPrice:The Inn is priced very well considering how close it is to Mystic, the beach, wharf, museums, and casino The atmosphere, food, and offerings at the Inn will prove to any budget minded soul that the cost is more than reasonable for a romantic getaway

Tania Galindo

This was my first experience at a bed and breakfast Ted greeted us as soon as we pulled into the driveway and gave us a wonderful tour of the house They have soda, beer and wine available throughout the day (all complimentary)! I will say my favorite part was breakfast, ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS

They had delicious eggs, French toast and caramel apples Also, coffee/Orange juice and delicious coffee available I did not experience any paranormal activity I did hear questionable sounds overnight but I think that is expected since it’s an older houseOverall, both Carol and Ted were so friendly and inviting I look forward to going back

I stayed in Comfort Suites Norwich last weekend and enjoyed my stay Staffs are awesome with great knowledge and smiley face They welcomed me as soon as I entered, check-in was very quick with full hotel amenities information

Room was beautiful, clean with all basic amenities Indoor pool was nice, beautiful and very clean I also used Bar in evening and the server was great I would recommend this hotel and will stay hear again

Jim Anderschat

Stayed here for one evening while gambling at Mohegan Sun A few issues tarnished the stay In the bedroom, the heat was completely dead

We did have heat in the living room so felt that was enough to get by with, but it did get chilly through the eveningAfter a decent breakfast and coming back to a cool room, I needed a hot shower That never happened There was no hot water in the hotel at 10am That suckedOn the way out I told the desk manager that the visit was disappointing especially due to the shower that I managed to get a leg into He was kind enough to say that he would make a Choice Point adjustment and send me an email That was quite satisfactory to me Unfortunately, two weeks later, I have not received any credit so poor for the visitSide note that the back driveway was a sheet of ice and needs to be taken care of before someone breaks a legDue to the above reasons, I cannot recommend this establishment

Stephanie Loyde

Everyone has a fair right to know that this hotel is legit haunted The basement, second, & fifth floor for sure We stayed 11 nights, saw our fair share of events, & heard stories from others also staying there

So just be careful because the presence can definitely be heard and felt Other than that, I didn’t like the breakfast, they don’t have green tea, and the basement where the pool is, is uncomfortable The rooms are clean and stocked so that’s good & the staff is friendly!
