My daughter and I absolutely loved staying at Hamlin House It’s in a perfect location for visiting The University of Chicago and Hyde Park I can’t say enough nice things about the house

It’s absolutely beautiful and our room was perfect It was beautifully decorated and updated, clean, and felt like home Caryl was also very nice and, her communication was great We will definitely stay here again when visiting our son at school

The Hamlin House in Hyde Park is, by far, our favorite Bed and Breakfast in Chicago! It is everything we needed in a home-away-from-home, and more! From the moment you approach the home, in the safe and beautiful neighborhood just a couple short blocks from The University of Chicago campus, you feel at ease It’s a stunning, classic mansion, with spotless hardwood floors and bright natural light throughout the home Over the past couple of years, I have stayed in various rooms, the Green Room, Blue Room, etc

And, every single room was so beautiful and clean The owner, Caryl, is the most hospitable, kind, professional, and lovely host of any Bed and Breakfast we’ve stayed throughout the country She gives us all the privacy we need, and yet, she is so quick to respond to any of our questions and/or requestsIt is without any hesitation, that I would recommend The Hamlin House in Hyde Park to any family or friend looking for lodging in Chicago

Marilyn Moy

This is our second stay at Hamlin House and we are already booked again for the spring! The location is excellent ( bus to Midway Airport, Metra to downtown Chicago, and steps from the UChicago campus The rooms are a unique way to experience the famous architecture of Chicago They have all the amenities of home with plush white towels too! The breakfast of croissants or fresh scones and fresh OJ is delicious

Talking to the other guests is always a highlight of our stay Finally, Caryl and Philippe go out of their way to make sure our stay is comfortable! They are such kind and interesting people! If you’re lucky to have a room available when you book, you should definitely stay at Hamlin House!

Michael and the kitchen and event staff at the Marriott Burr Ridge were exceptionally helpful and accommodating in hosting our group at their outdoor patio following a memorial service for a family member We arrived to find the table and appetizers set and ready Our dinner was great, with very polite and professional service

They truly went above and beyond to help us out, even preparing off menu dishes for our kidsThe hotel itself was clean and well updated with spacious rooms I’d highly recommend staying here if you’re in the area and booking family gatherings here as well

My wife and I traveled to Chicago for the 4th of July weekend and had the pleasure of staying at this lovely Marriott location Our experience was truly amazing The rooms were beautiful and the service was simply brilliant

We especially enjoyed the customer service of a young gentleman by the name of Justin He was very friendly and most helpful

Jaquay Bails

The room was very nice and MOST of the staff was polite, But

I was harassed about a form for a friends and family rate By Regina that I myself sent and the employee sent from our personal emails She was saying she didn’t receive it so I sent it right then and there just for her to say that’s not the right form then she said it was but it wasn’t filled out correctly so I filled it out just how she wanted we didn’t get this resolved until 5pm the next day and she says “anybody can book under this rate I was trying to make sure it wasn’t fake “ So imagine how that made me feel she wanted me to pay full price so bad she kept threatening to change the rate over something I Already sent I Had gotten frustrated and said” I will leave”Thats the only thing she heard she kept asking when I was leaving They gave us free breakfast for the inconvenience, butgave us the wrong time She overcharged my card $87 I Had 2 Unauthorized transactions so I asked was I charged a holding fee First She says no, so I asked how much the room was , but it wasn’t adding up to what they charged my card Then she said I was charged a holding feeThen I asked about the $47 unauthorized transaction when you add things to your room they take it out of your holding fee Not Charge you $47 for a $20 purchase she said “when I Add things to my room they automatically over charge my card” Which is bs because I work for a hotel and once I said that and she seen I caught on to her game she finally decided to be nice I know how the system works She was rude for no reason I never disrespected her I talked to her politely and gave her what she needed Mind you it’s my birthday I will never stay here again and if you a person of COLOR I’d Advise to to look at some other cities , other than Burr Ridge

Ryan McBurney

Crowne Plaza is an IHG hotel, which is why I stay there However, I while I honor the chain, I question the “pay for breakfast” option – the quality and selection of which is comparable to any other free continental at most other hotels The bar is adequately stocked – but not incredible, and the rooms are about par for their price

What saves this review from being 3 stars is Heather at the front desk She is kind and intelligent, super responsive and worthy of at least a raise and bonus Where the hotel itself was lackluster, she provided the shine and then more

Andreas Scholz

Hearing protection required! This hotel is located directly at the Interstate with paper thin walls and windows This was a hell of a night

To be fair, they have rooms facing the rear but said they were all sold outAt checkin we were told about the hotel breakfast The next morning we were asked to pay for it even though it was never mentioned before In addition the breakfast is average at mostThis was the one and only time I stayed there Only giving it 2 stars because the rooms were clean and the bed was decent

Jacob Payne

Nick and Kelley made my business trip much better Nick was always on top of it at the front desk and took care of everything I needed even though he was definitely doing double shifts and had every reason to not help me out, even when working on his birthday! After a long days work Kelley was a welcome sight at the bar/restaurant and took care of me and my coworkers and went above and beyond what I expected from this hotel These two along with the friendly front of house staff and shuttle drivers made my trip much more pleasant

Have never been Room was very nice and clean Nicely decorated

Shower was very nice We asked for an extra flat sheet that was never brought to us Our room had service rooms or something above They were very loud above us in the morning, and it actually woke us up when we were looking forward to sleeping in They kept dropping stuff above us and were very loud Our room was in front of the building near the busy street which was very loud They need to invest in better windows and sound proofing

Spicy Zing

Aura has always been a great spot to stay You can rent for a couple hours or for a night (must rsvp for overnight stays) I like that there’s different rooms to choose from and their reasonably priced

This is a Lovers Hotel, definitely meant for couples It’s a great place to take your significant other for a nice relaxing night together Though you must have a membership to even rent these rooms (M: $50, For a year)

J.O.B Telinfo

Aura really needs to upgrade all rooms especially Tryst room I got my package as advertised However, the room was not sound proof, no soap or conditioner in the shower dispenser, blood on the remote control which is a major negative!!!! Holes in the walls and etc You guys better do something because things like that will cause Aura at this location to be shutdown

I will not return to this hell and I want my refund for the blood on the remote control

We had an excellent four night stay The people at the front desk were exceptionally friendly The room was very clean and once we figured out the parking, we were good to go

I think the person working the bell desk was having a bad day and was a little rude but everyone else including the man guarding the parking made this a 5 star experience Well done HyattPS: I like the World of Hyatt app too! It was great seeing when my room was ready at the next Hyatt Chicago hotel

Suzanne Feole

A little dated and when we checked in our room wasn’t ready yet at 5pm The towels could have been a better quality and the shampoo didn’t lather at all We went down to try to get the buffet that is extra but it was so busy we ended up at the market instead

I expected more for what we paid but overall it was nice We will find somewhere else next time

Nya

Once you remember your elevator assignment that’s half the battle I would also recommend valet parking Remembering where to turn to get into the garage was an issue the previous time I was here

Valet parking made it so much easier this timeIt was different with the mask mandate We really couldn’t do anything but the customer service was excellent especially in the valet and bellhop departments There was one person that was rude and could’ve provided more information but didn’t She really needs to adjust her attitude at the check in desk Until next time

The hotel is okay, but it’s not that nice for a hotel attached to a convention center In our room the dishwasher and Internet did not work The door to the bathroom was a sliding closet door a few inches in front of an opening in the wall, with no latch or lock

The TV had a cable unplugged The room was large, but inefficient in use of space The pull-out bed worked but was on the cheaper side The main bed was okayThe staff were friendly and helpful The property itself is a cheap hotel The sign and lobby made it feel like it was going to be a nice mid-range hotel, but the room felt cheap

Braxton McNeill

The room smelled like smoke but was otherwise clean & nice! The location is excellent for the Convention Center Fatpours on the 1st floor is a nice sports bar & I had a good time there The continental breakfast was good & overall I had a very good day experience at Home2 Suites

I’d stay here again & would recommend it to anyone staying in Chicago for a few days

Anthony McCabe

Edited to give 3 stars, but the story stands And if it weren’t for the guest services manager, Ashley, I’d planned on canceling my reservation and moving to a different hotel, keeping this as 1 starI’ve been in the lobby for 75 minutes now because “they gave my room away”

I’ve been traveling for 11 hours 3 airports, 2 planes, 3 trains and a half mile walk to be waiting for a room to be ready for 75 minutes Anyone knows after a long day of traveling, sitting in the lobby is the last thing you want to be doing especially with 4 days of conference ahead of you with a $2000+ bill, to say I’m not impressed is an understatement If the actual stay wows me, maybe I’ll change my review, but this is really unacceptableThe rooms were nice, but the water pressure is laughably weak for $250-300/night

Nice hotel in the cluster of hotels near Chicago Midway Airport The room was nice and was a good rate for the areaThe cafe / Starbucks downstairs is nice

However I had an issue where a member of the staff came into my room in the evening after I checked it They did not knock and used the manual key to enter without my consent I reported this to the staff at the front desk and they said they will investigate However this is still unacceptable behavior for a hotel staff member, so even though I expect this to be an outlier I want to warn anyone else considering this hotel

Nova Talukder

This hotel is good for a one night stay but nothing more The day we checked in, the hotel maintenance had done a deep cleaning of all the carpets in the rooms but we didn’t know that and walked into soaking wet carpet and obviously it’s not a good feeling to be walking on that We told the front desk and later a guy came with a fan to dry it but of course that was no help at all

Breakfast was good at the bistro If you need the airport shuttle, make sure you stand outside or else they’ll leave without even stopping and you’ll end up waiting longer than 20 minutes as it comes every 20 minutes The first time the shuttle completely passed the hotel without stopping so we waited an extra 20 minutes (40 minutes total) so be prepared for that So like I said, it’s only good for a one night stay

Chauncey Williamson

My stay was wonderful because most of the time was spent with family but because of sleeping arrangements I had to sleep on the couch and I tossed and turned all night so I didn’t get to sleep well like I normally do In spite of that the Hotel was great! The nice flavored water in the lobby quenched my thirst every time although I didn’t get a chance to go swimming I bet the pool was super awesome as well and I’d definitely stay there again but next time I get the bed 🤣☺️

After researching, my wife and I chose this hotel to stay 3 nights during our visit in Chicago last week We were happy we made the right choice Our room had an excellent city skyline view

The whole room was so clean as in its brand new condition The bed was comfortable We felt very safe as everyone had to use a room key to enter the building and function the elevator, while the front desk was just feet away from the door Location was excellent to us, right in the Chinatown and close to the train station This hotel definitely deserves a 5-star rating Only one thing I would suggest is the staffs at the front desk need a hospitality training Out of 3 staffs at the front desk we had encountered during our stay, only the one handled our check-out performed well They did their job well but they should greet the check-in guests and wear a bit friendly smile on their faces

Joshua A

All-in-all, not a bad hotel! With no surface or garage parking, it’s a free for all but luckily there is a public parking lot near the rail station for $16/day No breakfast, no pool, no frills – just a clean and quaint hotel lobby with clean and cozy rooms Two stairwells lead outside leaving the elevator as the only option to travel directly between the room floors and the lobby

Never felt unsafe in the location of this hotel

Zachery Gottshall

No parking, no pool, no breakfast The rooms are barely big enough to fit two tiny “queen” sized beds, with too few outlets and very little furniture One positive is that each floor has a dispenser with filtered water that you can get either ice cold or hot enough to make tea

That probably isn’t enough for you to chose Jaslin over a more standard chain hotel though Jaslin is fine and may be a good choice if the location is really convenient for you Otherwise, there’s probably a dozen better hotels in Chicago

Clean hotel, good breakfast We ended up needing a room overnight for an unexpected flight delay so we didn’t really check out any other amenities The shower had the best water pressure I’ve had in a hotel in a while

When we checked in the lady didn’t seem super enthused to be there, but it was late The guy at checkout was super friendly Overall it was a nice hotel

Cory Whigham

My family was stranded by a cancelled flight out of midway around 1am the morning of august 11th with 2 little kids the moment I called the front desk clerk(wish I could remember her name) she was more than accommodating, friendly, and helpful When we got there she had already had new sheets on a pack and play for our son

She offered toothbrushes and necessities since we didn’t have our bags with us She made our bad night much better The front desk lady in the morning was just as great and helpful with everything as well along with very friendly The rooms were comfortable and breakfast was decent as well with that lady being very helpful and friendly as well Would recommend this hotel simply due to the customer service received

Blayre Millard

Do yourself a favor by saving yourself a headache and night of sleep Don’t stay here The traffic is so loud (even on a Sunday night at midnight)

The beds are not queen beds Our shower drain didn’t drain well so the tub filled up as you were showering The door to the bathroom was so heavy, good luck closing it or opening it The attached restaurant has excellent food but was so slow And prepare to pay $20 a night for parking…yes this is just a standard holiday inn with a normal parking lot

We booked this hotel because it is dog friendly, and we have 2 I didn’t feel the friendliness, we were tolerated, not more And of course we had to pay a hefty cleaning fee

Our room was cleaned just once in our 8 nights stay, although we did tell them they can clean whenever, and just let us know so we’ll take the dogs outBreakfast was lame, the same basic ingredients everyday, and even them sometimes missingThe location though is excellent, and the air-conditioning was very affective It’s a bit over priced, but if spacious, refurbished rooms and location are what your looking for, It’s a very good option

Taylor Howard

I stayed here for a week for work and when I checked in they told me they would clean the room every third day However, they didn’t the whole time I was there, which is fine, but doesn’t seem worth the money and is one of the major reasons to stay at a hotel over Airbnb Otherwise, the breakfast was nice and offered great options but the coffee could have been better

I also liked the late checkout

Allen Joiner, Jr

Great service, great hotel The free breakfast bar was typical: scrambled eggs (not fresh made), 2 sides (ham slices, potato cake), Pre-made waffles, cereal, yogurt, berry compote, some bread options, oj and apple juice Clean rooms, great shower, comfortable beds

Love the neighborhood, lots of great food options in walking distance Great ice cream shop just across the streetWalk to the best science museum I’ve ever been to, absolutely massive, just the U-boat exhibit is worth the price of admission, and kids loved the rest 15 minute drive to downtownParking can be difficult, but not horrible Here are some tips For unloading, drive around the hotel and pull up the side street that wraps around the hotel There a surface parking lot across the corner from the hotel, $36 for 24 hours Also a deck behind the McDonald’s, same price But for overnight or Sunday parking, here’s the best option Find a street spot, 250 per hour, free after 8pm or 10 pm depending on the spot Paid again at 8am Sundays are free, so you can park Saturday night until Monday morning for free

Best check in experience Jamal was fantastic and made my check in process extremely easy He gave great food recommendations, including the on-site restaurant

The ladies in the morning were great as well, and the sales manager even took a moment to compliment my shoes Everybody was dressed nice, they smiled and greeted you, and I just can’t praise everyone enough My visit was to bury my grandfather, so to have such great customer service during this time made my stay even better

We arrived late on Friday night and Jessie was working the front desk and he did a great job of getting us checked in without any issues He recognized me as a Hilton Honors guest and he immediately told me about the hotel restaurant, bar and other features This hotel had plenty of free parking and it is great shape

The food in the restaurant was reasonably priced with a great selection There is a nice fitness center and indoor pool Our room had a fridge which came in handy the beds and pillows were comfy and there was plenty of space in our room The ice machine is on all of the even floors We were on the 1st floor so we had to walk up to the 2nd floor to get our ice The room does not have a microwave but there is a microwave downstairs in the snack area that we used to warm up our food when needed This hotel has everything you need There’s also a nice breakfast spot too in this hotel for your bagels, fruits, juices, coffees, and other items This hotel was better than I expected and the service was great!

I had my first Women Conference here at the Hilton Oaklawn / Chicago location and no matter the problem the management worked it out! The catering staff was super excellent and Sue was the Catering manager for our event! Beautiful spirited individual! Because it was geared to women they tried hard to give us a great female staff presence and we truly appreciated it so much! Tom and Greg were the best Hilton Hotel mangers you could ask for! Greg even started cleaning & inspecting rooms to assist in getting our ladies in their rooms in a timely fashion! We fell in love with him! Our Catering agent Anne did her absolute best to prepare the mangers and give us what we needed when we booked the location! The conference food was delicious and beautifully prepared! Javier the custodial engineer went above and beyond! I definitely recommend this location if it’s your first time so that you have a supportive hotel staff who cares!

Don’t forget to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏᴄᴏm when booking your hotel This site will compare countless booking websites and usually will have prices a lot cheaper compared to others! You’re welcome :)! This hotel is one of my favorites in this area

I’ve been staying here for years If you choose this place you for sure won’t be let downThe staff were all so friendly, helpful and accommodating The building itself is solid, I did not hear neighbors at all nor people in the hall It was very clean, our room was huge! Well decorated and updated The location is just a few blocks from public transportation We will stay here again

Very nice hotel with outdoor no cost parking The room was clean and comfortable Downside was that the restaurant operates on the weekends, you will not be able to buy beer when the restaurant is closed and they don’t have a soda machine on the premises

If there’s a dumpster on your side of the hotel, expect some noise about 4AMEnjoy your stayPlease like if this review helps

Pros: Free parking, friendly staff, and it’s close enough to attractions We couldn’t hear other rooms, which I was a bit worried about The staff was really great and made the experience worthwhile

Cons: It’s in a questionable area, rooms are a bit dated, and no microwaves in the rooms However… they do have microwaves in the business office, which is nice

This review was based off a one-day stay at this hotelPROS1 Located in a beautifully diverse Hyde Park 💕

2 Easy access to public transportation including bus and train 💕3 Train station nearby with great rail fanning opportunities 💕4 Walking and/or a short driving distance to a gas station, whole foods, and a few restaurants 💕5 Beautiful view of lake Michigan, but access to the walking path is not across from the hotel, but easy to get to via car/walking 💕6 Free coffee and breakfast if you are into prepackaged foodsCONS1 The room had a ‘rush to clean’ look’🤮2 The walls are very thin and you can hear people conversations around you😒3 The reviews about roaches being in some rooms are true as one was dead on the sink counter when we woke up🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮 (very hard to post, but I had to keep it real 💯)!The best part about this hotel is the diverse neighborhood that surrounds it! We will never stay at this hotel again even at the price I paid for it!Has so much potential to be even better, but they’re cutting corners approach is not going to help them reach it!

Lovely location Clean and not at all smelly I was slightly disappointed that there were no extra blankets 😕 Not sure how that works for the laundry washing if all ya have is just the right a amount

Other than that it was wonderful In a nice area and just a short walk to the trail by the lake Within waking distance of the Museum of Science and Industry

Free parking in a covered ramp was a real plus The hotel lobby and rooms were not elaborate but were clean and adequate Many rooms have at least a partial view of Lake Michigan and Lake Shore Drive

Breakfast when we were there on a weekday was very limited, either packaged muffins or breakfast bars, (not both), apples (sometimes), and packages of instant oatmeal Although there were no restaurants right by the hotel, a half mile walk away is a neighborhood with a variety of interesting restaurants and shops, and it is just a short drive to several of Chicago’s most popular museums

I expected more I guess The rooms were okay beds were comfy but they said my room came with breakfast and they later told me I couldn’t get it Double trees usually give their guest free cookies but everytime we asked they were out (kinda a reason we picked it)

I’ve stayed at other double trees in the past and had a lot of better experiences Plus the hotel stunk!

I booked my stay through the park/sleep/fly website because that was the most convenient for my elderly parents and me to find parking for our car during our trip We needed to leave our car for just under two weeks and we stayed overnight the night before our flight We were so tired upon arrival to the hotel, we decided to just stay at the hotel and have dinner there, which was surprisingly good and was served by a good-natured, kind man

(We loved the warm cookies upon arrival too!)Then upon our return, we experienced some difficulty in getting back to Chicago and had to have our flights changed I was concerned because I had given the front desk my return flight info but now everything was different and we would be coming in late at night, on a different day Thankfully, Melissa, who answered the phone when I called several times to try to keep her updated with the changes, was really friendly and helpfulJohn was our driver to and from the airport and he was extremely professional and helpful When John dropped us off at Midway at the beginning of our trip, he was right on time, he handled all our heavy luggage, and he helped my elderly parents in and out of the van We definitely appreciated his kindness! I also appreciated how clear he was when dropping us off regarding where he would pick us up when we returned I can see how many travelers could get confused regarding pick-up but John had explained very well to us where we should meet him when we returned (This saved a ton of time and frustration)Upon arrival to the hotel parking lot, John drove right over to our car and was extremely helpful again with all of our luggage I would like to recommend these employees for some sort of recognition as well as a raise Had Melissa not been so helpful or responsive on the phone, John would not have had any idea about our changed plansI’m incredibly thankful for this good experience and I will recommend your hotel/shuttle service to any/all of my friends needing to fly in or out of Midway Thank you so much

I stayed here pre-COVID for a family reunion It was great Stayed here this weekend and checked out after 1 day

My room had a weird smell There was a half bottle of water that I’m guessing the previous guest drank out of It was left on the table with the other bottle of water and still had the $200 Hilton tag on it like nothing was wrong There were brown spots in my bathroom sink Maybe makeup? Not sure Hair in my tub that wasn’t mine There is a maintenance guy who I guess checks the pool periodically A lot of kids were in the pool, he seemed to hyper fixate on the black kids when all the children were just playing and being kids He seemed to pick them out I hate to say that, but I observed it twice And that’s what it was giving Won’t be staying here again

It was nice but housekeeping needs to do better! I did not appreciate having to ask for my room to be cleaned three times then had to leave my room and wait for them to FINALLY clean it! I called the night before, the morning of when I was told they would be there at 10 am We left and came back at 3 and it was still NOT CLEANED! I was LIVID!! That was when I made my THIRD attempt by going directly to the desk and speaking to an associate! We sat by the murky pool for an hour while they cleaned the room When we got back to the room a dirty towel was left in the shower and the cleaning solution was left on the stove! I took pictures which I will upload on TripAdvisor and Google along with my review

Now for the pool I had every intention of getting in and enjoying the water but it was cloudy! I stood outside the door around 9 am, not believing what I was seeing then the pool guy came out with a hand full of solutions I asked him was he cleaning it because it looked cloudy and he said yes, he just put the solution in it I asked why it looked like that and he said someone must have done something in the water the night before His voice went low so I couldn’t hear exactly what he said but it was enough to know I was not getting in! If you read this post in its entirety then you know that whatever solution the guy put in the pool at 9 am did NOT work, due to it STILL being murky/cloudy at 3-4 pm! Disgusting to say the least! My final complaint is we asked for and were given a late checkout I guess the front desk did not communicate that with housekeeping because they tried opening the door at 11 am sharp! Imagine that! They were “on time” to get us out of the room but not on time to do their job! We told them we had a late checkout and she barely understood due to not speaking English She eventually understood and left We were truly ANNOYED by this!

At first glance this hotel seemed nice and clean, however when I woke up in the morning I found a cockroach in my bathroom I was able to take a video and show it to the front desk, who told me that a manager would come down to my room shortly After waiting 30 minutes I received a phone call from the front desk informing me that there would be no hotel management on site due to the holiday, but one would call me to discuss the refund I requested

I have now called on two separate occasions asking to speak with management, only to be informed that my information had been passed on to hotel management and they would contact me at their convenience Not only did I pay $250 for one nights stay, but I also had to throw away all of our food, and have our belongings bug bombed Do not stay at this hotel, and do not be fooled by what appears to be a clean, upscale setting The person at the front desk was very kind and understanding, but obviously he is the only one who cares, as management seems to have disregarded my complaint

If i could give this place a zero i would Horrible front seat A blond women who was rude and damining over the phone and in person

Not to mention the “manager” on site was a point size jerk He didn’t have anything to say other then what the lady in the front desk had already called and actually cried about The pool was out of clouded majority of the stay People running around each night smoking and drinking (yelling throughout the hotel) i would be cautious when booking here There were some nice perks (a kitchen without any amenities including a fire extinguisher Also a fire alarm text where the people of the hotel we Lee to enter the room Overall, we were very disappointed

Absolutely stunning views Great room! Staff was kind and courteous the whole time Every time they saw me struggling with my toddler they offered to help us get to our room with our things

Everything was clean for the most part Took one star away because one of the pillows on the bed had a big brown stain on it Didn’t notice until we flipped the pillows over I think it was a stain that wouldn’t wash out but it was very off-putting But great location and wonderful staff overall We will definitely be back!

Luis at the front desk was very attentive and friendly He greeted me as soon as I walked up and it took less than 5 minutes to get me checked in Lobby is a fairly large open space

Decorum is nice but the seats are VERY low The night I arrived there was a NBA playoff game on in the bar, very busy area and bartenders were on top of everything My room was spacious? Super clean and lots of outlets for your phone(s) and laptop and any other electronic device Amazing view of the lake Didn’t give 5 stars because there isn’t a 24 hr market pantry so I couldn’t get a soft drink after 10pm because the market area closes at that time A minor thing but good to know ahead of time

I stayed here for a conference The hotel is very impressive and has a great elevator system, to accommodate its huge height The rooms were very spacious with their own sofa and the bathrooms offered large showering and bathing areas

Are used to room service on one occasion and found it to be very good efficient and quality of food was average My only negative point is that it is at least one hours walk into downtown Chicago so most people will need to use a taxi, Although the walk across the Lakeside promenade was beautiful and certainly worth doing at least on one occasion The area around the hotel felt safe and there are also some great areas to explore local to the hotel
