This team runs a fantastic hotel The gentleman at the front counter is national treasureI really appreciate how clean the rooms are

The rooms are simple, and they’re some of the most well put together simple rooms I’ve stayed in The bathroom is nice, and the shower head is way up there Best smelling soapThere’s no lobby to speak of, just a space to check in and out They do charge for parking, but it’s reasonable and hotel is so centrally located that won’t have to pay to park anywhere else near cannery row Parking is well litCommon patio area with chairs and fire pits is a nice touch

Stephanie Rios

We LOVED our overnight stay here! The rooms were small with little walking spacebut the service at the front desk was great, the soaps smelled super good, it was very clean, and they have beautiful outdoor fire pits with nice seating

The location is absolutely perfect, within walking distance to cannery row, and you must try the wave street cafe across the street

S Mayeda

Liked the the updated rooms and the location of the Inn It was within walking distance to so many restaurants, the aquarium, cannery row and fisherman’s wharf that we hardly had to drive The $17 daily parking fee was well worth the cost

We would have to pay for parking anyway were ever we drove to The rooms and the beds were clean and comfortable My only complaint is that we can hear every step and creak that our neighbor made above us The Inn should also think of purchasing a small microwave for each room I liked that management, text us if we needed anything

I cannot say enough good about this place! For years I have wasted time staying elsewhere and called Borg’s The Bates Motel It always seemed empty (Sorry owners and management!) Boy was I wrong! We stayed on the 2nd floor facing the ocean and talk about a beautiful view! They have chairs for you to sit and relax in outside your room and we did this meeting the neighbors on both sides

I have no complaints and will be back and hope that visit will go just as well!!

Five years ago, I told my husband “for our 40th Anniversary (and a bucket list) we should stay and play golf at Pebble Beach” Since our kids, now 32 and 30 years old (+ a Son-In-Law) were along for 32 years of those years, we invited them along We stayed at the stunningFairway One Cottages along the First Tee with partial ocean views

From the moment we arrived, it was like a Disney experience for adults We booked the 3-day package and had the opportunity to play: Inn at Spanish Bay, Spy Glass and the beautiful Pebble Beach The three courses were so unique, challenging and beautiful on their own that we had a hard time picking our favorite, but in the end, playing the Pebble Beach course was such a surreal experience and one that we will never forgetPS: The experience had such a profound impact on us, I want to re-create the room at the Fairway One Cottages in our family room Would anyone be able to tell me the carpet name and manufacturer used in these rooms?

Wonderful and charming hotel! We stayed in the one bedroom, dog friend cottage (C-1) and it was lovely Has a fenced patio, and a great little living room with fire place and breakfast table Nice light, quite

PERFECT location Walk to Lover’s Point beach, walk to restaurants and bars, etc Great staff and the most delicious homemade scones! Would 100% recommend

Laura Schwinck

My husband and I spent a few days at this amazing and beautiful hotel Everything was clean, staff very friendly and the hotel was beautifully decorated We loved the delicious breakfast of on site made scones and granola to accompany the yogurt bowls with various fruits

In fact we loved the breakfast so much that since we have returned home we have the same yogurt bowl every morning In the evening they offer wine and different treats and it is so comfortable to sit in the living room and relax after a day of excursions Next time we plan on staying longer because there is so much to do in the surrounding area and so much fun to come back to this beautiful place in the evening

Greg Francis

I stayed here for three nights in April 2022 and thoroughly enjoyed it Three blocks from stunning ocean views and one block from the main street of Pacific Grove, you couldn’t ask for a better location Historic rooms that make you feel you are in a magical past make up for the small size of the rooms and lack of modern amenities

Complimentary wine, baked goods, and breakfast are all great touches, and the staff are polite and service-oriented The lobby/common room is also cozy and great for relaxing, playing games, or reading at night, and the garden is wonderful for the same during the day Highly recommend

They serve a wonderful breakfast and “Jabberwock” juice every morning on the Sun porchThe atmosphere is relaxed and almost dream-like You can play bocce in the garden or read in the den with complimentary brandy I would give them a sixth star if I could

This is a lovely hotel! The rooms are clean, spacious and well appointed with everything you need The staff is great and informative The hotel is well-maintained and the views are great

I write this as I sit on the balcony of my room looking at the harbor, listening to the seals and watching dogs play on the beach I’ve just enjoyed a lovely complementary continental breakfast that was brought to our door complete with coffee danish and fruit Five stars stay I would not hesitate to book again!

Sharon Sprouse

This place is high class There is a wonderful bathroom with 2 sinks, a bath mat in front of each sink Also there is a separate commode room with a door with frosted glass so it can be used even while someone is taking a shower

The only problem was that the shower head had really wimpy water pressure And the streams are all going in different directions They need to replace or do a serious cleaning on that shower head Otherwise the room was great Quiet Nice balcony with a lovely ocean view The front office staff is great Friendly and helpful They were happy to get us into the parking lot early And they had yummy chocolate chip cookies for guests in the lobby Great place! I highly recommend it

Alan Poon

We stayed here for 3 nights with a marina view and loved it Waking up in the mornings to the sun and beach/water is magical The room is big with double vanity and separate toilet room

Having 2 on site hot tubs is great as well! The staff were fantastic and courteous, especially when offering a daily chocolate chip cookie! It is walking distance to the Wharf in one direction and the restaurants in the other Well worth checking out

Vianna Mabanag

Great location, amazing service and an overall beautiful stay The inn is vintage and very clean; antiquated in some areas, but to be expected and enjoyed Free appetizers and wine in the evening, free breakfast in the morning

There was something wrong with the radiator in our room, so management gave us a free upgrade to one of the top-tier rooms The two men working on 4/16/22 (James and Jeremy I think?) deserve a raise — their service was THAT good!

H G

Comfortable weekend stay, loved the views and atmosphere of the property Yes, the rooms were “dated”; they’re meant to be and worked just fine Great breakfast service! Parking in the hotel lot can get a little crowded, but you can also park on Ocean View, or even on 4th – there’s a side door with keypad access into the hotel courtyard

Greg Weir

Our room had a perfect view of the waves crashing against The Rocky Shore As we sat with our complimentary wine and snacks four deer came up to the window and ate the grasses in the yard Along the shore there were sea lions basking in the sand

We were told they were just about to give birthThe common area on the first floor also has a very wide view of the sea A big breakfast made to order with table service was served there with fresh baked muffins or Apple bread every morningIt’s a charming Victorian home built in 1899 , furnished with antiques a billiards table and even a grand pianoA Pedestrian/ bike path leads to downtown or Cannery row and in the other direction is a monarch butterfly refugeThe stack seem to always be available to help us with anything we needed It was a very charming and romantic three nights stay

Coley Girl

Very friendly staff The location was awesome We were able to walk to the aquarium in under 15 minutes

There is a beach across the street and we were able to hear the sea lions and the waves from our room What a wonderful adventure We were hesitant at first because it was only rated 2 stars and looks older but we will definitely be back The room had lots of character and even had a small balcony to enjoy the area

Nicole Sissoyev

The location is great, walking distance to the beach, Fisherman’s Wharf, the aquarium and Cannery Row That’s where the good ends For the price I have a million complaints

The front desk is not very friendly (if they are anywhere to be found), the room had lights that did not work, holes in the walls, towel racks coming off and overgrowth on the patio making it impossible to enjoy I should have paid the extra money and stayed elsewhere

Jen Philips

Cannery Row Inn has one thing going for it at it’s price point – location It’s just a half-block up from San Carlos Beach and walkable to everywhere in Cannery Row But it is an older place showing its age for sure

The staff are ok but unfortunately not overly friendly, and there was some difficulty communicating due to language barriers Our room was updated though, with a comfortable mattress and nice sheets, pillows and comforters Overall, for the relatively low price, this is a good place to say in Monterey

We were there for a three day board meeting for my husband’s work and we’re very happy with the hotel Helpful and friendly staff The hotel is located in downtown with a quick five minute walk to the Wharf

Quite a few shops and restaurants within walking distance We had three dinners there that were catered by the hotel and the food was EXCELLENT! We did have a challenge with the air conditioning in our room and they sent someone up immediately

Amar Pandya

This was honestly one of the best Marriott Hotels I have ever been to The property is so cleanly and the staff is very friendly They greeted us with a couple of complimentary water bottles and had a few extra water bottles waiting for us in the hotel room itself (you would be charged for these things in other hotels)

They gave us some great recommendations on places to eat and things to do The hotel itself has great amenities including a gym and outdoor pool area Thank you for a great experience and if you are headed to Monterey – stay here! The hotel is walking distance from so many great restaurants and other attractions Walking distance to the beach as well!

This hotel was awesome Depending on your room it offered amazing sea and city views The hotel and rooms were very clean

The hotel staff and I mean everyone on the payroll were professional, courteous, and helpful The staff will go out of their way to make sure you are enjoying your stay I would like to give a greatful thank you to everyone who assisted me during my stay the last week of June (Ellen, Zach, and the GM) since I worked with them the most Just know everyone went above an beyond and I am grateful

I’m someone who NEVER writes reviews unless they are positive, but this one really got me Listen to all the bad ones below and save your money Yes it’s on the beach but it’s still not worth the cost

I’m someone who loves a fancy hotel and can still appreciate a motel 6, but I feel robbed and duped This place is dirty, still smells of smoke, couldn’t even be bothered to replace the shower curtains (this was obviously a different, older hotel previously) or clean the bathroom vents The beds are uncomfortable, the door had been sloppily fixed and painted so I had to literally SLAM it to close properly I called the front desk to find out where I could locate the room service menu and was told I had to come down to the bar to retrieve it So I called room service and he told me how to find it online Ordered room service but they couldn’t fill our cocktail order (“we only have very basic beverages here”, so had to go to the bar which was a pretty far jaunt) For the price I paid to stay at a “resort”, I expected a little more The food was good, nothing disappointing about it but obviously way overpriced All in all, my husband summed it up best, “a polished turd” I wish we had just stayed at The Holiday Inn (where we usually stay when we travel), but this place seemed like a nice splurge as we were passing through town (we were only here one night) IT WAS NOT So mad I wasted my money here

Diane Higginbotham

Reserved the premium oceanfront room at this hotel for three nights Checked in and the lobby was nice, just like the photos on their website That’s where the truth in advertising ends

There were only two elevators and only one worked No problem Get to our room that was advertised as having panoramic views and it’s completely false advertising Our room had one window If this room was premium I’d hate to see the other rooms The door latch looked like it had previously been kicked in and sloppily replaced The straw was when I pulled back the bedspread to Lysol the bed and there was a spot on the sheets that looked like blood Blood We left and checked into the Hyatt for a total of about $50 more Read the reviews carefully The location of being right next to the ocean might be nice, but not worth it

Bob S

Great location, love that you can walk directly on to the beach just yards away from your room Rooms are ok, wished they had a microwave in the roomsPrices are a little on the high side and they don’t provide complimentary breakfast or coffee (they have small coffee pot in the room I wouldn’t use)

Also look for hidden fees like parking$20 Great place for walking on the beach We always find ourselves going back once a year Also is dog friendly 🐶

This is a nice hotel I went here and was satisfied with my experience It’s located pretty close to downtown Monterey and it comes with a free parking garage

The room I stayed in had a bathroom with two beds (which where comfy), a TV, and a desk The room also had a balcony, which was nice The rooms were clean I gave this hotel five stars because it has nice rooms near downtown Monterey

Amazing stay! I could not get over the location and staff The location is within walking distance to a few fabulous restaurants and shops, this was perfect as we could leave our car in the free parking garage during our stay and walk around The room was very very clean and bright, I was able to open the patio door to let in a nice breeze in the evening

Every time I entered the lobby I was greeted by the staff who were kind and made a few great recommendations I will definitely be back!

The website is a bit deceiving (may be old pictures), however my friend & I stayed in the back house so not sure about front house rooms It was clean but boring, old ugly furniture and we had to take cold showers in the morning We were not happy about that! We were excited and couldn’t wait to see this old vintage house but it was just a disappointment, expected more for price

The breakfast was good but nothing fancy Will not be staying there again I was also told money wouldn’t be taken out until check out but it was before we even got there Oh another big issue, no parking for guest and if you park on front street all night was told we’d get a ticket

I had very bad experience here, I haved called and booked the room, the receptionist took all the details including my credit card details When i went to check in she said the room that i booked was given to other couple and she said she confused which is silly because when assigning the room she has to check id, when she realized tat she made mistake she has to atleast inform me that room was sold out, i drove 2 hours to stay there 😭

This place is charming but not necessarily comfortable We were in the “Jennifer” room Think it said partial ocean view which was a stretch

The TV sits on a small table and is so low that if you watch in bed your feet obstruct the view The toilet paper requires a bit of contortion to reach and the step into the shower might be problematic for some (as might the narrow, steep stair cases in the Inn) The site where we booked said free parking but it is on street parking not a dedicated lot Staff and location were fine

The grounds are beautiful, the access to the beach is great and staff are very friendly The rooms are embarrassingly bad We have travelled to national parks and stayed in rooms described as “rustic” before

I’m fine with that I don’t need a TV or phone, plenty of mobile devices The room we stayed is was beat up worse that a dorm room No screen door for the balcony Maintenance brought a broken one when we complained The sliding glass door would not close and could not be locked during our entire stay There were two sinks in our room but the faucets on one were broken A literal hole in the wall above the door in the bathroomIt’s a shame, because the property is beautiful and in such a great location Maybe there are nicer rooms, but after looking at more recent reviews I don’t think so

Imtiyaz Enayatali Hariyani

The property is absolutely gorgeous and the food was a lot better than I expected, but my review is strictly about the hotel The rooms are very dated and need some new furniture The sliding doors of the bathroom are painful to open and shut

There is no daily cleaning service unless you request it And the wifi is absolutely garbage The place is also a bit of a maze and they could do with a few extra sign boards on the property I didn’t see a concierge and didn’t even find space to leave my luggage for a few hours upon checking out No water bottles/kettle etc in the room either They do provide a fireplace though, which is nice because it does tend to get pretty chilly in the evenings Oh, and carry snacks/food with you if you don’t have a car There is practically no way to get food even during the day after the only little store closes Overall, a decent stay because of the proximity to the conference grounds but the service can definitely be improved

Nice big place with beach entrance Beautiful view on rocks and ocean Very nice nature all around! You can buy small breakfast inside this property

Room was very small for 2 people No TV, for some people its crazy but not for US Too many ants inside This is why i give 4 stars

I was excited to stay here after booking with a very nice gentleman on the phone who was very helpful in my room choice The property is lovely, the view is beautiful, the beds and pillows were comfortable, and the staff are very nice and welcoming It’s first come, first serve, on nearby street parking

They have 3 very small parking spots on-premise, but my large Tesla wouldn’t fit in one I was very disappointed to learn no one would help me with my bags If you’re paying over $700/night all in, you expect valet service, even if they cannot enter your room given their COVID protocol Also, you’ll not receive maid service, which they state on their website and let me know when checking in My room appeared clean at first glance; however, I noticed hairs on the bathroom floor in numerous places that were not my color/size (and I hadn’t been in the bathroom at that point) and also hairs on the left sitting chair by the window There were enough hairs on the bathroom floor/baseboard that I felt like it just hadn’t been cleaned properly and didn’t feel comfortable taking a shower the next morning I went to the complimentary breakfast the next morning and was not impressed For the high prices they charge for rooms, you expect higher standards I checked out early and wasn’t asked if I enjoyed my stay or anything else I believe they might have generated an auto text after I left, but that’s really not the same as being personally asked I left very disappointed and felt overcharged for what I received

This place is wonderful! The grounds are very well maintained and the accommodations are so comfortable The location was perfect, it was about a 20 minute walk to Cannery Row from the inn which goes by fast because the walk is so easy and gorgeous We came here to get away for the weekend and I couldn’t have come home more refreshed

It was exactly what I needed 😊❤️

Superb bed and breakfast More like a very small intimate hotel The room that we stayed at was right next to very good street parking so we only had a few steps to get to get to our room

PROs:Well furnished room with upscale decorationsNo TV (relaxing)Excellent staff and helpfulBeautiful groundsOutstanding full breakfastMuch better than any hotel I have visitedWalking distance to restaurant and running walking pathCONs:No TV (if you really want one)Small room (but perfect for a couple)A bit priceyStreet parking for the most part (easy parking though)All in all worth a return visit if I’m in the area

Valet Parking : $45/ DayRegular parking 1 block away : $35/ DayStaff: Super friendly ! Very welcoming 👍🏻Location: is amazing! A lot to do within walking distance Bars, restaurants, great view, the aquariumHighly recommended, the hotel over all was very clean, the room was impeccable very nicely arranged

Will definitely be coming back Came for a conference and the conference rooms are great! The food they served was also very good 👍🏻

A R (Golfpilot)

Feels like a holiday inn with a good location with the Intercontinental brand and price slapped on top Everything here has its caveats Staff is friendly, but there isn’t enough of them

Restaurant is good, if you can get a reservation There is a spa, but it’s probably not open The room is nice, but it’s dated at least 5 years and it’s wear showsUnable to get room service Here 3 nights One day they promised it between 9-11 and showed up at 3 while we were in the roomTried to make a reservation for the restaurant 2 days in advance and we were told they were booked, but we could do room service “it comes from the same kitchen”The bed mattress is worn, not a great sleep Bathroom cabinets are water damaged and calcium deposits on the shower headAll these things are fine for a low end 4 star hotel But expect more at an intercontinental

Kim Owen-Cravy

We’re been to this hotel 2 times The first time was just a night and we had to force ourselves to leave the next day to make another reservation in another town We came to Monterey early this time so we can stay 2 nights this time

The ocean view rooms with balconies are AMAZING! The rooms are gorgeous and very clean and every staff, including cleaning, are very friendly and helpfulFrom our balcony, we’ve seen lots of otters, pelicans, and other birds We’ve also seen whales and seals The sound of the waves is very relaxing… hard to get motivated, but that’s the point of this vacation! Lots of great, nearby eating places that are in walking distance

The inn at Spanish Bay is a great place to spend a few nights The service is impeccable and the staff is dedicated to making your stay something to remember Location overlooking the Pacific Ocean is jaw-dropping

I would encourage you to sit outside at the bar in the evening and listen to the bagpipes they play every night If it is a cold night they have blankets to sit on your lap and they have fire pits going you can order drinks and food as well We ordered room service for breakfast and love their eggs Benedict We also ate dinner in the conference room where our veg was held One night we had all you can eat lobster tails and it was quite delicious One of my favorite desserts was their cream Brulé This is a very high and hotel with a high end customer experience

This is a 5-star resort bin Pebble Beach, California I’ve stayed here several times and enjoy dining or just hanging out in the lounge, listening to the amazing trio Thursday through Saturday nights IRS it outside by the fire pits and enjoy a hot ir cold drink and fabulous appetizers from Roy’s Gave and Jackie are great servers and have become good friends, as have others

Yes, it’s a ritzy resort, but it has something for everyone here, from the classiest suites to a simple hot chocolate Come and enjoy both The view and the people you’ll meet, alone, are worth a visit!!

Kristin Wardlow

The hospitality that we experienced here was absolutely wonderful Everyone from the hotel manager, to the front desk, and even the golf pros at every course, acknowledged our anniversary All of the employees that we encountered were great

Our room was cozy and the hotel patios and sitting areas were ideal for unwinding after busy days of golf and sight seeing We can’t wait to visit again!
