The hotel and rooms were pretty dated and the hallways and carpet had definitely seen better days – Smelled like a frat house on Sunday morning when you got off the elevator Our room wasn’t much better but the linens and towels were clean Bathroom and furniture were filthy in our suite

We were moved to a different room that was slightly better Staff was excellent and very helpful all around Housekeeping was very attentive and polite to guests The lobby and breakfast / bar area was very nice and had a wide variety of coffee drinks and breakfast options Pool area was a highlight here clean and spacious We used the hot tub and pool daily Would go back but hopefully corporate does something about the overall condition of the rooms , furniture and common areas (aside from the lobby and pool) Again, staff and Housekeeping were amazing and the only reason I would returnThanks to them

This hotel has the appeal of a tomb LED lights would help this hotel out immensely The lobby was nice and inviting so I was surprised to get out of the elevator and be immediately transported to the reptile house at the zoo

Minus the reptiles, our room was dank and dark and smelled weird It was like a musty-feet smell We stayed at several hotels on this vacation and this was the only one I said, “cancel tomorrow’s reservation, I can’t stay here” I don’t mind old as long as it’s updated and clean This place just creeped me out Maybe since the lobby was nice and bright they are slowly renovating the hotel, but it would have been nice to have seen signs of that Staff was nice and pleasant

Hanging with the Coopers

The hotel is dated The toilet in our room had low pressure and didn’t flush well The front desk and the rest of the staff were very accommodating and kind with the exception of the manager at the front desk

He may be the GM as well We had a really good rate and I believe because of that he gave us a room on the lowest floor at the very end of the hall despite my husband’s Gold status They have pool security on duty and I understand the need for him as locals probably abuse pool privileges, but we were told we could only have 6 guests in the pool area including room guest We had not been home to Florida in 3 years due to Covid so family wanted to come see us and with it being so hot and us staying at a hotel, we invited them to come see us at the pool There were only 8 people at the pool when we got there and within 30 minutes they were all gone before the rest of our family arrived We had maybe 14 people show up, mostly siblings with their kids and we were told we had to leave or book extra rooms We’ve always stayed at this hotel and had similar number of guests and NEVER had any issues Maybe they thought we were going to have a party, I’m not sure, but that wasn’t the intention and I didn’t like the way they treated us especially as paying guests I explained that we were home for the holiday and we hadn’t seen each other in years so meeting up at pool would be fun for everyone and we would be respectful of others They didn’t care and said it was against their policy for me to have more than 6 guests I asked to see the policy, but they couldn’t produce one I didn’t argue We all left We finished out our stay, but I will never stay there again They are not family friendly, unreasonable and uncompromising

Everything was perfect from start to finish First of all the amazing staff Tony worked with us prior to arrival to get us the exact room we wanted and worked with us on the dates- we drove him a little crazy – but he was so accommodating and kind

We were greeted so warmly by Eric at check in and he showed us around We met Donald who walks around with a permanent smile on his face, ready to help with anything Also the maintenance engineer and the nice lady working with Eric- I didn’t get their names but they were all truly wonderful They strive for ultimate privacy for their guests, while making sure you know they are there to help with any want or need The room was beautifully appointed and the view is breathtaking We stayed in the Dolphin Suite The beach is private, which makes you feel like you are on a private island- NO CROWDS at their beach! The water from the gulf is such a beautiful color, it’s hard to depict in photos We also loved the orchid garden and the outside shaded tables They provide beach towels, chairs, books to read, and even small coolers We loved everything and can’t wait to come back! Thank you our new friends at Cedar Cove!

Jason Diss

I must say first off that I almost never give anyone five stars as there’s always room for improvement I really wish I could give a 45 rating though! That being said we had a wonderful time with family during our stay

I would think that we will be back again in the future & try one of the other rooms The portion of the resort that we stayed in was obviously an older part of the resort, but the staff was always there 100% of the time to address any of the minor issues that came up If you’re looking for a quaint little getaway place with wonderful beach access, view & a great staff this is the place

Meredith Griffin

This place was amazing Alex and the people that run it go above and beyond They have beautiful beach area with all the amenities

They have floats, free bycle rentals free beach chairs The rooms are spotlessly and roomy We had a relaxing and much needed vacation stay here! Will definitely be returning next time we are in the area

Great property!Very clean, close to everything including, Malls, grocery stores, restaurants and the beach! The lobby is nice and the restaurant is a plus! My kids loved the pool which they hung out until 10:00pm!Rooms and bathroom were spacious! The fact that its located at the entrance of the IMG complex makes it even more practical!

Giselle Guzman

The hotel rooms are very modern and comfortable (we saw our friend’s room which is where they stayed), service was excellent and the hotel restaurant selections were extremely good We stayed at one of the villas because our group was larger and they were very roomy, we got 5 double beds split out through 3 bedrooms, 2 onsuite baths, plus an additional full bathroom If I was to go back; I would prefer to stay at the hotel rooms rather than the villas, there was lack of natural light, cleanliness in some parts of the villa, bathrooms and kitchen were outdated and the wall colors were too dark which made the place look it enclosed

There was an awful smell coming from the garage which was also very filty The price of the villas compared to the hotel rooms was only $10 cheaper per room

Monica Thomas

I selected a particular hotel room based on a sleep aid drink being included When we arrived at the hotel, the drink was not in room I phoned front desk but there was no answer, so I went down to inquire about drink

The attendant, left me standing in the lobby for about 30 minutes while he ran around the hotel looking for the drink He finally returned empty handedThe entire week up to our stay at the hotel, my daughter and I talked about this drink and we were excited because we don’t have these types of drinks in our country More importantly, we have trouble sleeping in hotel rooms so we were excited for such a thingTalking to the manager was NOT helpful as he was rude and disrespectful not allowing me to explain the reason for our disappointment I suggested he take the information off his website about the drink and he said he wouldn’t because they hope to get it again sometime – even though I brought up “false advertising”And these “Bear” beds they advertise are nothing specialDo not trust the glorious information on the website about the amazing sleeps you’ll have!

Definitely 5 stars! The staff was so nice and helpful (Special shout out to Kathy at reception- she was terrific)! Even having the smallest room at the hotel, it felt plenty spacious, with a large bathroom and walk in shower, comfortable beds, and plenty of space to store luggage and items Superb location near shops, restaurants and activities, and near the free trolley stops I can’t wait to go back!

Emily Hayes

We really enjoyed our time staying at BridgeWalk We got to listen to the live music next door at Island Time while sitting on our patio, but when we went inside and closed the sliding glass doors you couldn’t hear it They decorated our bed for our 5 year anniversary that we were there to celebrate

Parking attendant was super friendly when we checked in Everyone was nice! This hotel is in a great location too being on Bridge St and right across from the beach Your view isn’t oceanfront, but we had fun watching people walk up and down the main street from our patio The rooms are very basic but have everything you need Because it’s not a luxury hotel the prices are really affordable We are so glad we found this place and would stay there again 🙂 We appreciate everyone’s kindness and ability to make it a special time!

I honestly don’t understand why this hotel has such a low rating (2 stars)

my mother and I stayed for 3 days and were very pleased with our accommodations The room was very clean and nicely decorated (even had DOVE toiletries available) the staff is friendly, and the continental breakfast was amazing!! Buffet style hot food was available such as eggs, bacon, sausage and even pancakes The only thing that I could complain about was the water pressure in the shower but hey, it really wasn’t that bad We will definitely stay here again!

Nicole Wilson

From the moment you walk in you’re greeted by the two most wonderful young ladies with smiles that make you feel instantly welcomed!!! Our room was clean, very modern and overall very nice The pool was amazing and refreshing, the tiki bar was a blast with the most absolute best bar tender Denise, once she takes your first drink order she remembers your name and makes sure you are always taken care of, making everyone feel as if they come first Top notch service here from the office all the way through!!! This is by far one of the best hotels we’ve stayed at and I will definitely be going back as well as highly recommending!!!! Thanks so much for welcoming our family and making us all feel right at home!!!!!

My room was recently remodeled, sparkling cleanedThe hotel is very well maintained, security cameras everywhere and the laundry and pool accessible only for guestsExcellent customer service

This hotel worth every dollar spent

Joe Klapperich

This place was absolutely AMAZING Older? sure

undergoing renovations? Absolutely The room was spacious, updated, pristine and wonderful Check in was effortless Tiki bar was VERY nice, bar tender was friendly and prices were more than reasonableONLY ISSUE – this is a VERY INEXPENSIVE place where you are getting MORE than double your money as an experience HOWEVER – this ALSO means that the “Riff Raff” chooses tom stay there Persons can be friendly, or rude We found 80% friendly, the other 20% wanted to ENSURE that everyone know they were there, they were visible, and that they didn’t care what ANYONE else thoughtManagement did the best they could, but in the end – not a whole lot they could doWould we stay again? 100% yes! Will be our “go to” next time

We were not guests of the property but were invited to sit on the beach chair grounds by a guest because of our special needs baby and the convenience it offered her in the sun When the owner asked us to move, we explained we thought it was ok because there was 20 something empty chairs and only ourselves were occupying However we agreed to move and began to pack up our children

However his comment was “people who stay here don’t want to sit next to you” And for this I am writing a review We were moving when asked but didn’t appreciate the rude comment We are locals and expected more hospitality than this

Tracy Frye

Our first time here at this wonderful place right on the beach First time to AMI as well Probably one of the best vacations I’ve been on

Family owned, very clean with wonderful staff Everyone we encountered were so friendly from the guests to the staff I’m so fortunate to have snagged a room here and can’t wait to come back next year!

After some initial scheduling snafus, we were able to book a three night stay at Mainsail mid-October This place is a true condominium-style stay, not a hotel There is no 24 hour staffed front desk, there’s no food on premise, and, while beach chairs are supplied, you bring them back and forth

These are not negatives, just things to note The building is three floors, all accessible by either the central stairway or elevatorOur room was lovely We stayed in Unit 5 It’s a two bedroom suite (1 king & 1 queen) with direct ocean views The kitchens and bathrooms were fully stocked and everything was clean There were books and board games available to guests just outside of our room in the common area The property is clean and relatively quiet It is walking distance to a trolley stop and there are tons of great places to shop and eat within 5-10 minutesOverall, our stay was wonderful We stocked our fridge at the local Publix on our way in and enjoyed dinner out at some of the local eateries The only negative is that you can hear everything going on in the room/rooms above you If you’re a light sleeper, take this into account when booking I would definitely stay here again, but I would make sure that we were located on the third floor Other than that, wonderful place to stay on AMI 45 stars

First of all, Marty and her staff are amazing Marty works 7 days a week and bust her butt for her guests We had several issues while staying (ants in bathroom and kitchen, broken slider letting air in, black mold on floor), but made sure to bring it to her attention

She sent ladies to clean and address the issues promptly Our beds were comfy, AC cold, showers hot! Beach is close, nice breezeway on ground floor, but rooms definitely need some TLC This place has huge potential, but the owners don’t seem to care If you’re looking for location, this is your placePhotos are to show how much things need updating, but yet how beautiful the views areMarty and staff I give 5/5 stars!

Stacy B

I would have given 5 stars, but I don’t appreciate the owner flirting with my husband A woman shouldn’t ever call another woman’s husband “handsome” or say “hey handsome” when the wife isn’t present and when the wife is present, shouldn’t hold eye contact only with the husband She should give BOTH customers equal conversation OR direct most of it towards the wife…

and she shouldn’t flirt with any woman’s husband period Ignoring the wife’s presence or not speaking to her equally is plain rude I don’t care whether or not the husband is handsome It’s NOT professional :/So, if you don’t care whether or not the owner is a flirt… and overly nice to her male customers… then, this Dream Inn is clean, The other staff is also nice, and it’s right on the beach

Yvette Salazar

If the only thing you care for is being ocean front, then go ahead and book here Beware you may book thinking you will be staying at the Anna Maria Island Dream Inn but they may have you stay at Bamboo They own several other hotels and are able to place you in any of them

The parking is limited The rooms are super dated It is one thing to know you will be staying in a dated room but it’s another thing to walk into a room that is not ready for you The bathroom floor was full of bathroom scum, the utensils were dirty with food from the previous people, the bed sheets were stained, the floors had mold, I did not feel safe I booked 2 different rooms and both were in the same fashion The stove was not working, the refrigerator was rusted, the balcony smelled like urine Needless to say we stayed one night and the following morning we were forced to look for another hotel Thankfully we found one and left the next day before 3 pm I complained at the front desk that the rooms were not up to par with expectation and I was told that a refund is not possible The units are privately owned and the lady at the front desk told me she was going to send an email to both owners of the units we paid for C18 and C19 I was going to be CC’d on the email, this never happened I emailed the hotel asking for a refund of the 6 nights, I was willing to pay for the one night, nothing Yes the staff is friendly but this does not cut it Owners need to take accountability

We stayed in room 3 for two nights, our reservation was for 4 nights but given the conditions of the room coupled with poor weather we decided to leave early If the weather had been nice we may have roughed the additional two days The dishes in the cabinets were not clean and many had food particles stuck to them

The wall above the shower is falling apart, towel bars are falling off the wall TV remote control doesn’t work It’s difficult to reach anyone in the office The people above us were intolerably loud with screaming kids and slamming doors The proximity to the beach is nice but it’s so close to the public beach that it’s very crowded I would not stay here again At almost $200 per night we definitely expected the room to be nicer

Donna Carchia

I am writing this review in response to a woman who complained about a bird drinking from the pool Several exotic (to me) birds descended into the shady and private pool area, standing beside the pool while I was relaxing by the pool I found this to be charming

In fact, my husband and I felt like our stay at the Anna Maria Island Beach Resort was a precious piece of paradise that we often talk about and remember our stay there (April 2016) with the fondest of memories Very comfortable beds Private patio areas A sandy path beckons guests to follow it to the beach, a very short distance away Richard took my reservations and answered all my questions before I booked He was very helpful He was around if we needed him but didn’t hover We arrived earlier than expected, and Richard permitted us to check in early He was very gracious We loved it there and earnestly hope to go back some day

Jordan Thomas

Anna Maria Beach resort is such a beautiful place to stay on the island, you truly feel like you’re vacationing at a five star resort! The rooms are so nice and spacious, with a large kitchenette! Beautiful large pool with tons of amenities like large checkers/ chess, corn hole, hot tub, fire pit, and direct beach access with lounge chairs! Spent Easter weekend here with the family and our 4 month old baby and we loved it! Staff were amazing, always asking if we needed anything! We will definitely be returning to Anna Maria Beach Resort!

For the last nine years it’s been an annual tradition to spend Father’s Day there, but this year was the last The place had seriously deteriorated The safe would not work

The sliding glass door could not be locked from the outside There was one electrical socket and box so loose from the wall that that both would pull out of the wall Another socket had no cover – a child could easily touch the wires The shower drain cover was completely unfastened and would move around the shower floor exposing the drain pipe Upon arrival there was no entry key available – had to wait for one to made at a local locksmith There was mold on the cushions inside the unit In general – very, very poorly maintained

Kim Lake

I went with a friend to Seaside it was my second time there The first time I admit I wasn’t entirely happy with my room but all in all the place is charming with a gorgeous view of the Gulf so I thought I’d give it another chance I am so glad I did

My friend and I stayed in one of the studios and it was terrific The Studio was not just straightened up it was cleaned everyday They were very generous with extra towels full size fridge nice kitchenette We could basically walk out of the room and unto the beach We were politely and professionally instructed about the nesting season of the turtles and we are very excited that turtles nested near the resort I am definitely going back Nice job Seaside

Elizabeth Gooch

My husband and I checked in for a few days of relaxation! We had an exceptional checkin , beautiful clean room and incredible staff We were right on the ocean with a very nice patio The room had a comfortable queen bed, full refrigerator/freezer, coffee pot and coffee, dishes & silverware and plenty of towels

The view was beautiful We sat on our patio every night and watched a spectacular sunset! We will definitely be back!!Betsy & Ralph

The staff here is phenomenal The breakfast, always wonderfully stocked Housekeeping is kind

We stayed here 5 days Did not meet one staff member who was rude , and met many who took their time to ask how you was doing and have conversation They shampooed carpets often when people left My ONLY COMPLAINT was the pool was not cleaned 5 days where there it was not touched Was disappointed that we paid for hotel to swim at and wouldn’t swim in it because it was too dirty

Heather Carlson

Location okay Super confused on how it’s “remodeled” because the only thing that’s new is the entrance waiting area Carpet in rooms is disgusting, general decor in rooms is super outdated as well as TVs and service on TVs

I have never been to a hotel that doesn’t have a hook or rack for towels No hooks besides two on backside of bathroom door So no where to hang your hand towel or swim suits Super tiny closet that was just gross Beds were comfortable but that is the only plus to this place Fridge had stains in it My pillow smelled No place to plug the coffee maker in unless you moved it and then no refills on coffee for 5 nights there Went down one morning for coffee and OJ for my daughter Coffee was sour so most likely left over OJ machine was off which I didn’t know so I kept trying and finally realized it when an employee yelled “It’s off! HELLO?! It’s off” Super super rude Pool is TINY! I would say 80% of the people staying here were construction workers working in the area I would never stay here again I’ve stayed in a lot of places and this was the worst of them all

Jose Dominguez

My stay at the Country Inn and Suites was great I just been relocated to Sarasota by my company and I’m glad that I was able to find this property Special thanks to Katie at the front desk

She took time to show me some of the rooms prior to my stay and she was very hospitable and professional I have recommended this hotel, to some of my co-workers that will be traveling down to Sarasota in the future

Our family of 5 loved this resort! It was family friendly and had a delicious hot breakfast included with our stay The pool was beautiful with fresh towels provided and access to lunch and dinner at a tiki bar and restaurant We loved being a short, 5 minute drive to the beach

The room was spacious and included a beautiful view of the bay with a gorgeous sunset Our favorite was the fresh coffee in the lobby in the mornings and fresh, filtered water infused with fruit in the afternoons/evenings We inhaled your fresh baked cookies too! We can’t wait to come back!

It was clean, beautiful and affordable but what made it exceptional was the staff They had the friendliest, most helpful employees I’ve ever dealt with at any hotel The view was amazing

It’s a short 5 min drive to the beach and the little things like water and cake in the lobby were a nice bonus too I would definitely recommend this hotel

I have stayed on Anna Maria island many times over the years It was my 1st time staying here and I must say that the customer service was amazing!! Compared to everything else I’ve been experiencing over the last 2 or 3 years of travel this should be a standard that all places follow Everything was clean! Their breakfast was amazing! And changed daily

Hands down will stay at this location again Definitely worth the value The only downside is it’s not right on the beach but it is only 5 minutes away

The hotel is the old style, but it is updated, freshly painted, and nicely decorated with beach style motifsThe hotel and rooms are kept nicely clean (although they can still do a little better cleaning the bathtubs) The only recommendations is that they need to upgrade the mattresses

We got up with a backache every morning Super 8 Hotels have better beds so they can probably do better on the beds Staff was helpful and very friendly Private beach access was awesome! We went for my birthday celebration and definitely planning another one for next year or sooner We loved the area and the beach

We stayed here over the last week and it was excellent! The hotel has direct access to the beach which was awesome The continental breakfast that was available each morning was very convenient The location was great! It is right along the free trolley stop

It is located within walking distance of Bridge Street and not far from Publix The staff was extremely friendly and helpful We had a late flight and after checkout, they allowed us to keep our bags in the lobby so we could enjoy the island before heading to the airport The only thing we didn’t like is that our rooms were purchased together but we’re not next to each other We were still on the same floor but would have preferred to be next to each other This was a very minor inconvenience and didn’t impact our overall thoughts of the resort! We will definitely be back and highly recommend!

We just got back and have already booked our next trip! We loved Silver Surf! The room was immaculate! Although the furnishings are a bit outdated we were told they are doing a complete redo in the coming months The room was spacious, pool area was big with pool bathrooms – all were also immaculate! There are restaurants and shopping we walked to multiple times with our 11 year old son In addition, the free trolley stop is right in front of the hotel and was perfect when we ventured a little farther away! The thing that got us from the beginning was the staff! What an amazing group who are always pleasant and helpful

Kat at the front desk was so awesome!! Can’t wait to be back to our new go to in SW Florida!

I’m not one to leave reviews but when a location is so nice and the staff so welcoming I always make sure to do so The location is darling, the atmosphere so peaceful and the views are breathtakingOne thing I do want to say is that the staff are great and honest people, I mistakenly left my charger (with my Apple Watch attached) in the room after I checked out and the staff was so kind to call me and let me know

Which gave me time to return and retrieve them Truly I am thankful for such true and honest staff! Thanks for making my stay peaceful

This is my 4th stay here at this hotel I’ve stayed 4 days/3 nights each week Kira has been beyond phenomenal with her customer service skills! Every question I’ve had she has found an answer

Each room has has been cleaned to expectation and each bed has been comfortable to sleep on Very inviting hotel with an easy check-in process I travel for work so these are a couple of things that are very important to me

Awesome location, and the room was clean and modern However

the pool was grossly inadequate in size based on the size of the hotel, with five (yes, FIVE) total lounge chairs that guests were literally fighting over The pool water was really dirty, gross No hot water in the shower, the room lock was not functioning properly and we had to lock and unlock the interior about five times before it would work No towels in the gym, no towels at the pool, and the second floor elevator would not go down (you had to push the up button, then get in the elevator, then push down) The breakfast hot food was cold, and the room AC was really noisy I regularly stay at Marriott for branding, but this visit overall was really disappointing
