Overall, the place is in good condition and clean, but our room had two issues One, the bathroom door would not shut The bathroom vent does not work and the moisture from the bathroom warped the door

Also, the TV in the main room didn’t work The front desk was very unhelpful Their response was something like, we can’t fix it, so what do you want us to do? The tv was an issue for my son and the bathroom was a frustration for everyone

The room was a nice size with some updated amenities, a small fridge, microwave, and single serve coffee maker The closet was a bit small but functional Room came with a couch and desk

Lamps have convenient plugin to charge electronics but only 1 per bedside Bed was a 5/10, somewhat stiff for my liking and the pillows were small and miserable Comforter was goodRoom could use additional renovations as it looks half finishedAll in all I paid 98 for the night but I also purchased last minute and if you have stayed at a La Quinta before then you know what to expect Service staff was polite and helpful!

rose bud

I knew when I saw the dirty door mat at the entrance it was not going to be good The mat in front of the check in desk was also dirty In fact all carpets were visibly dirty

The hotel has a smell like they were trying to hide the odor with Odor ban Makes me wonder what else they are not cleaning Our room, 224, smelled like dog urine the king bed was sunk in where each person slept But it was comfortable The sheets were clean The windows had openings around them like they forgot to caulk them Huge 1/2″ gaps At 9:30 you could hear the kids in the pool like the windows were open The hotel owner should invest in a good carpet cleaner and a caulk gun The air conditioner could not keep up Probably because of the gaps to outside We had two small yorkies They gave us a pet fee refund of $20 The La Quinta in Douglessville GA was very clean and quiet

Emmanuelle Alonso

The room itself was okay, but there were signs that it had not been cleaned thoroughly (a dirty sock on the side of the dresser, dog hair on the couch, lots of dust behind the desk) We also had to rearrange the room in order to use the pullout couch mattress Breakfast selection was not great, but the nightly cost was cheaper than others in the area

After reading reviews I was worried I might not want to stay here But in fact it is a very nice Home 2 Suites Not the best, I agree, but still a good choice when traveling with dogs

The room and hotel features were excellent Sadly the building itself looks beat But the bed was wonderful, having plates and mugs to enjoy our take out and coffee – fantastic, and the room decor and functionality is as to be expected from a Home 2 – Excellent The staff were extremely friendly, I give them 5 stars The dogs give it 5 stars as well, there was wonderful smelling grass all the way around the building allowing for a nice safe morning walk I recommend this place and would happily stay here again

Devon Younge

This was our last stop on a cross country trip with our baby and two dogsEverything was great except the room cleanliness We love Home2 Suites in general and came to find that this is the preferred hotel by Hilton’s brand that works best for us

With some deep cleaning in the bathroom & shower area, this would get five stars from us!The hotel team was SO nice downstairs and breakfast was great, too

June B.

The staff here was super friendly and helpful All three ladies we dealt with had smiles and gave assistance quickly The room, however, was not as nice

The bathroom had a thin layer of black dust on everything There was fine sand or something in the sink and tub The bathroom door felt sticky I had to clean before we went to sleep Disappointed is an understatement!

Anna Belle Williams

The Fairview Inn felt like home from the minute we walked in Emily in the office welcomed us with ‘your keys are on the desk’, and ‘we upgraded your room because you will be more comfortable’ Dinner at 1908 Provisions was outstanding

The bartender Zane made amazing cocktails and Susan our waitress was awesome Definitely a more comfortable vibe than a chain hotel, and the free breakfast was amazing Highly recommend!

My stay was excellent from beginning to end My check in was seamless My king room was very nice, freshly steam cleaned carpet/drapes, and good size

But, the room was hot Maintenance was there in less 5 minutes and fixed the problem The room was ice cold when I returned But, the maintenance crew went above and beyond the call of duty Kerrick and Krewchanged my tire The front was so supportive in finding someone to help I have been trying to get into this hotel since before the pandemic It did not disappointed You have good staff and your hotel is well maintained

Andree Smiles

We stayed here in a pinch! The front desk guy/staff was very accommodating, helpful, and pleasant to work with Our room was very spacious, there was a King bed and a full size bed also, so lots of room The only issue I had was our room smelled like dogs, and all that comes with having an animal in an hotel room, who may have had accidents on the carpet

I did have lysol to get us through the one night stay I recommend it to those

patricia Johnson

HORRIBLE customer service-I work in customer service and they need some lessons Arrived and checked in, got a luggage cart only to find it had a flat tire and it was the only one available Wrestled my luggage and the cart to the room and turned in the tv-no sound

I did everything I could do-and I’m pretty tech savvy-called the front desk to be told to move the furniture so I could get to the plug, unplug it and replying it so it would reset itself Did that and finally got that working I went back downstairs and ask where the ice machine was-there is only 1, it’s on first floor and at the other end of the hotel from where my room was! About 8 I called the front desk for foam pillows-I’m highly allergic to feather and was told she didn’t know if there were any but she would call me back and I could come get them! They had some so back downstairs I went My room was quite a ways away from the only elevator in the hotel so it was a hike! Normally I would be irked at the customer service, but I am in an air cast and walking is painful The total lack of customer service is astounding I would much rather stay at a cheaper hotel with good customer service

Beautiful scenery inside and out The staff was very knowledgeable and nice Loved the fact that all amenities needed are at one location

From the bar, tasty menu, to the pool, to a beautiful room, steamy hot shower and comfy bed; definitely was a vibe! The pool needs a cooling element and more chlorine Definitely will be back Book here!

Wendy Jackson

As a travel agent i have stayed at many hotels the last few years and this one is one of my families favorites Sheraton and Marriott really did a great job on this place The Sheraton has a modern style look, the rooms were immaculate, beds were comfy and the lazy river was so much fun

It was a nice place to stop and break up a long ride home The staff were very friendly and helpful If we had more time I would definitely stay longer!

Pammie

Very friendly staff Loved the modern and spacious room Very clean and the bed was so comfortable! Much better than the Hilton

The only reason I didn’t give it five stars because our room was near the elevator and was a little noisy when I was trying to sleep, but thank goodness I ALWAYS travel with ear plugs Oh, the breakfast was good too!

From the moment we arrived; were greeted; checked in and entered our room – everything was perfect! The lobby, hallways and room were spotless!!! Loved the pump dispensers in the shower – body wash, shampoo, conditioner Lotion was on the counter as a travel size (even this would have been nice in pump dispenser) Breakfast was plentiful with lots of variety

Don’t like to post negative reviews but this one is a matter of public health Rooms were extremely dirty, including a bed that smelled like urine There was a layer of grease on the bedroom’s floor

Night tables clearly dirty Hallway’s carpet with plenty of stains They charge $1 for a toothbrush (never had to pay a dime for a toothbrush when I stayed at a Hilton hotel!) And no breakfast on Sundays because, like I was told, “it’s Sunday” All surreal

Bernice A Meza

Must haves and don’t have

shuttle service and breakfast “Tomorrow (Sunday) there’s no breakfast cuz of covid we still trying to get it going you know” So not an excuse plus restaurants in area don’t open till 10:30 or 11 am Shuttle service 24/7 would be nice because paying $35-$52 for Uber is just ridiculously expensive for a 2 mile ride even if it was 5 miles there is not much traffic to and from airportOther than that the rest was great for me Staff was very nice, the hotel looked nice and clean, and my suite was very nice and clean

Alice Hopson

My stay was awful There were no housekeeping service No maid services

The rooms smelled and was dirty The trash never was dumped The walls were dirty, the outlets didn’t work, there were no adequate lighting Things that were requested you had to go down to the desk and pick it up ourselves It did not meet the standard or the criteria set by The Hilton for quality and service

This is an ideal place to stay especially with kids The rooms need to be updated Both rooms carpet we stayed in had really bad stains & we found black hair on the floor & curtains ,but other than that the room was clean

The furniture needs to be updated, but the food ,drinks, and indoor/ outdoor pool make up for that I have stayed at many places and never got breakfast and dinner free The location for me was great for the hospital It’s in a great central location The workers were nice I will stay here again when I come back to Jackson for my chemo I do think the price is a little much though for the room itself There’s nothing spectacular about them & our second room we didn’t get cable like we did in our first But all in all it’s a great place to stay I felt safe & it was clean except for the carpet & hair The carpet needs to be removed and tile floors put in for easy clean up & sanitary reasons The curtains need to be washed

Angelica Smith

It’s a decent priced hotel when you first come into North Jackson The breakfast was hot/good and the lunch was amazing They also serve liquor and I enjoyed an employees special mix

The rooms were clean, the water was warm, and they had enough towels stocked They’re also pet friendly for a fee Pool was also nice and quiet I was the only one swimming, but it was nice

Jared Williams

We are working in the area and staying currently here The staff has been AMAZING I would personally like to brag on B

K He will be the face you see walking in He is Very knowledgeable and very polite I had my a/c unit go out walked down to talk to him about it There was people lined out the door waiting I gave a quick explanation while he was still working on checking in guest I assumed it would be awhile so I just stepped back An without even skipping a beat he handed my keys to another room WOW!!! BK is a real asset to this company Thank you BK

This hotel has class and character! The rooms are comfortable and quiet The lobby is a nice place to meet friends and family The breakfast is amazing offering more than any other breakfast in town in a buffet which I like

The hostess in the restaurant spoils you like you are special family (the hostess alone is reason enough to come back to this hotel! The exercise room has everything I need I love elegance and southern charm and this hotel is delightfully both!

Beverly Blanchard_pedley

Great staff! Very clean! However, the air-conditioning didn’t work so was moved to a different room TV didn’t work

Tired from traveling I just blew it off but the wonderful staff and Management did return half the cost of the room Very very very nice and friendly staff Best I’ve been very encountered with everyone as a team in this country! Best 🤣 f the best! Across the street from Amtrak! Picture taken from room window looking down on Amtrak! Beautiful hotel

Gillet Famille

It is insane that Hilton has such differences of standards among its hotels The Jackson one is just terrible ! Found a dirty underwear in the corner of my room – got to change it (the room)

No room service available so no food late No laundry service available, which might explain point 1 I stayed 2 days and could not get my room done despite posting the sign on the door while the next two rooms were being done ! As if the policy is to not do the room daily for multiple night stay Overall the hotel is poorly maintained, dirty and without any charm Only positive point was the kindness of the lady managing the breakfast

This hotel is NOT CLEAN, from the elevator to my room If I could have cancelled my reservation without loosing my money, I would have without hesitation! The room smelled like someone had been smoking in it when we opened the door The shower door was nasty and dirty, around the outside of the shower it was moldy with rust

Inside the shower was not clean, we had to go purchase shower shoes to take a shower The shower head looked like with was coming detached from the wall The corners in the bathroom had dirt buildup One of the nightstands had something all on the side of it, not sure if it was dried vomit or milk The only good thing, the sheets on the bed and bath towels were clean I would have thought with it being a Hilton hotel, as well as the location(Madison, MS), I would be pleased and it would have been clean But, ABSOLUTELY NOT! Even the elevator was dirty, the wall paper in hallway was peeling and looked dirty I felt like I was at a motel 6 I couldn’t wait to check out Monday morning before 7am! Hilton, I was VERY DISAPPOINTED and I expressed it to the checkout staff as well!!!

Jean Dabit

From the moment we checked in until the moment we checked out, we were made to feel like valued customers!! The young lady at the front desk, Jada, was wonderful!! She was kind, sweet, pleasant & extremely helpful! She had a sincere desire to make our stay as nice as possible & we greatly appreciated her kindness! Jada’s customer service skills are exceptional!

P Dubz

Desk woman was very friendly & helpful Hotel room was “ok” Privacy shade wouldn’t cover entire window (had to cover bottom 6″ with pillows)

No TV remote in room Dark yellow stains on towels and the towel rack (for all towels) is in the shower? Strange set up There obviously was a recent leak from the room upstairs as the entry ceiling had water stains and blistered paint & swollen drywall Last gripecouldnt find an coffee at 5:15 ambut there’s a starbucks down the street Other than that, the room was clean & hotel was nice

Good staff, nice people but dirty room You could tell they skimp on cleaning and room prep little dish soap in kitchen was used with crusty dried soap around cap no sponge

Had to go to front desk to ask for bedding for sofa couch Sofa bed mattress was badly stained Room felt less than clean One elevator not working so it was a minor inconvenience staying on the fourth floor Breakfast was ok Got biscuits, etc Waffle maker but batter dispenser did not work Overall a less than Hilton experience but as I said the staff were nice

Aaron T

We stayed at several Home2 Suites on this trip The Pearl location was a very positive experience The front desk team members were kind but also fun to chat with

The only down rating is just that they seem to be short people With a positive attitude and kind word those front desk folks were doing absolutely everything Breakfast, laundry, room requests, etc Hopefully they can hire some additional support staff and things will be even better!

This is definitely not the traditional Embassy Suites that I have become accustomed to! The rooms were not clean, they did not have enough towels, furniture was miss matched in the room, some of the cleaning staff was very unprofessional, front desk clerk (Muriel) had a nice-nasty attitude both times I interacted with her I was working with the senior sales person while planning the Family Reunion, he was on vacation during our time there and never bothered to give me a contact person in his absence (I found out he was out by his out of office notice) When I finally found out “her” name, I never saw her or heard from her the entire weekend

The problems we had were not addressed I can say much more but I’ll just sum it up and say this is NOT the best hotel to stay at!! 1 1/2-Stars at best Don’t be fooled by the nice lobby, like we were When we booked the hotel we were told we could not see the room because of the Covid/Cleaning policy (which I could respect)… That’s a complete joke! They have signs on the mirror in the bathroom saying they were Lysol cleaned… Did not smell one scent of Lysol and my first room had mold all around the air condition vent, elevators weren’t cleaned, no vacuuming of the hotel carpet (I looked at the same piece of paper on the floor for 2 days) My air conditioner went out the last night! One of my family member’s air condition went out the first night…One good thing was the F & B staff: Maxine and Ms Willie were very kind and accommodating The salmon was a little over cooked but dinner was decent I definitely would NEVER stay here again!!!

I’d like to update this review The hotel was very responsive and reached out to me to make it better I respect that and wanted to give them credit

This hotel has barely earned 1 star The weekend I stayed they didn’t have the staff to manage the load of guest and large family groups they hosted One or both elevators were broken the 3 nights we stayed The stairs all had forced exits to freezing temperatures The workout room never had water and not all the equipment was functioning The ceiling fan had gaps around it and the ceiling had damage This a new hotel It’s not going to get better The water in the pool as lime green the morning I checked out I could never attempt to get In because it was over crowded the whole time I was there The staff ignores you and is not offering house keeping except if you request If you request they are not there yet and they have you come to the front desk for towels were they ignore you and have extended small talk with other guests not even acknowledge your existence I believe they care from their response to my previous review and it will get better or this was just a blurb

Had a great experience here I had never been to this part of Jackson before, but it is such a nice area The rooms were clean and spacious, and the pool/gym were spotless

Upon checking in around 6pm, they had vegetables, fruit, and some crackers out, as well as a fountain soda machine for use The breakfast service was wonderful, and the employees were friendly I loved the oatmeal station with fruit preserves to put on top There was also a made-to-order omelette station Staff came to clear my dishes out of the way during eating I highly recommend this place for great service and a very comfortable stay!

Skip to main contentWe have stayed in many boutique hotels in our travels and this one is one of the best!Honestly, if you are traveling through Mississippi this is the hotel to stay inFirst of all, we want to give a big shout out to the following team members:Princeton – A great person; he made us feel welcome from the first time we talked to him on the phone He greeted us upon our arrival and made us feel welcome, almost like he was inviting us into his home

He delivered needed items to our room without hesitation and we saw him around the hotel doing whatever needed to be done with a smile on his faceChrista – Bar Assistant did a great job with serving and checking up on us even under extremely busy conditions Very accommodating with a smileChristy Lee – Bartender – Very professional and accommodating under very busy conditionsTop notch employees!!!The grounds were beautiful with an interior garden, modern furnishings, large banquet room for gatherings, lovely rooms all with an intimate feel, and great rooftop bar open on Thurs, Fri, Sat with nightly local musiciansThe stay included a delicious full breakfast with lovely pastries, biscuits, gravy, fruits, meats and eggs Wow!!!We want to thank you for making us feel so welcome and will definitely be back when we are in MississippiDate of stay: April 2022The rooms facing the garden with balconies are lovely

Overall the stay was good It’s a nice old building with a pretty courtyard and a perfect location for walking to the historic sites and museums of downtown Jackson The rooms are spacious, well-decorated, and comfortable

However, the service is somewhat rough around the edgesThe good news is that these shortcomings are correctableFirst of all, there is no housekeeping unless your request it This is unacceptable, especially at a hotel that wants to be “boutique” and more on the upscale side Daily housekeeping should be expected and automatic I found myself having to call and ask for clean towels then waiting for them to be brought to meSecond, if you are going to ask guests to select a time for their breakfast in the dining room, then you should have their breakfast ready on time I and other guests had a 7 AM “appointment” yet had to sit there for a good while waiting on the breakfast to be brought in Fortunately at least there was coffee readyThird, one of the big selling points of this hotel is the rooftop bar and the views from it However, the rooftop only accessible Thursday, Friday, and Saturday One cannot even enter the area at all except on those days This area was off limits even though the weather was beautiful and I would’ve loved to have just enjoyed the viewFinally, cleanup is needed in the courtyard There were leaves clogging the fountain, which was pretty otherwise

I stayed for two nights in May 2022 What a great experience Extremely friendly check in process and the gentleman at the front desk even offered to give me a ride to the train station when I was departing

Very comfortable room and lovely courtyard for breakfast/reading A one minute walk from the civil rights museum and near downtown makes this an exceptional place to stay for a brief visit to this very interesting city
