My friend and I stayed here one night during our Erie Canal Trail bike It is in a great spot right over the bridge from the trail and from a nice boardwalk-type area of restaurants and shops Despite being so close to a lot, it was very peaceful and quiet

We stayed here in July 2021 and the stay still seemed to be very much shaped by COVID We never actually saw the innkeeper(s) – they left nice, clear instructions with our keys on how to find our rooms and there was a lovely little welcome bag in the room They still are not serving breakfast but provided a $20 gift card to a lovely nearby bakery with a ton of options that is a short walk away The room and bathroom were nice They were charming in the typical B&B sense (without the bathroom feeling too dated) and very clean The one thing to note if you’re staying in the summer is that there isn’t AC, just a fan It was fine the night we were there since it was reasonably cool but I could see it being uncomfortable on a hot and muggy night We would definitely recommend the B&B and will be back if we find ourselves in the area again!

This is our go-to place near Rochester, NY Stunning breakfasts, comfortable living space you can use for wine and conversation with friends who stop by You don’t need a canal view, it is right outside the front door

This is the place you can rest and relax between your local events Really, you should check it out Won’t share our favorite room We need to be sure it is available when we visit family thereWhy not just stay with family??? We could, but this is our home in town now If you visit, you will know many reasons more

What a lovely property! My husband and I came here for a wedding and stayed overnight They let me check in 2 hours early to get ready for the wedding which was so convenient The room was spacious and clean and the bathroom toiletries were a little higher end than most hotels

The wedding was held outside with a stunning view The passes appetizers and buffet dinner was really good and plentiful All staff I encountered were pleasant and helpful Would definitely return again!

First and last time at Woodcliff I was pretty disappointed with my stay at Woodcliff When I first made the reservation I thought there was going to be a tub, but I guess in the Executive king rooms there are only showers

I could get over that part, but the part that was annoying was the lack of customer service that they claim to provide First off everyone seems to have an attitude Second, I ordered the spa package in the upgraded room, but did not receive the cheese board or wine until going downstairs twice They made it seem like I was bothering the workers, but I was just following up on what I ordered…We also did not have the spa slippers which were also included in the package supposedly but I wouldn’t know…Third, the complimentary breakfast is not from their restaurant, but from the little Starbucks stand they have in the lobby I feel like they should state that in the description because that’s definitely false advertising Overall our massages were good which was the best part, but still frustrated with the overall price to service There is really no point in upgrading to the executive king room unless you want to be on the 6th floor The “great view” they claim, please take that with a grain of salt You would think after paying that much the facilities would be up to date Personally, I would not recommend this place to friends or family

We stayed here for 4 nights as they’re the host hotel for an even we attended near by The location is good, as it was easy access to the highway and it was surrounded by lush green space Easy access to nature trails

2 min drive from a large shopping areaThe hotel is a bit out dated and the rooms require updates We didn’t have a microwave in our room, but our friends (same booking) has a microwave Not that we needed it, just standard and consistency mattersThere are a lot of excellent hotel staff who are very helpful and accomodating One person stood out for us, Vicky at reception was amazingHave mixed feelings about giving this review as the staff are amazing, however the hotel itself is not worth the money (and we got group rates)

We stayed at this facility from May 09 – May 18, 2022 It was a pleasure It was the cleanest hotel we have ever frequented

The room featured epoxy floors rather than carpet, so no allergens, dust, weird mystery stains, etc, while still being comfortable underfoot Ample storage for clothes, lots of outlets around the desk for computers and peripherals and an excellent WIFI connection The bathroom and other areas of the room were immaculate The owner took the time to greet us at our room and made sure we had everything we needed Free coffee tea and snacks were available The maintenance staff were very nice, quiet and did a great job Ample parking, secure entry, excellent heating/air conditioning, easy in-and-out of the facility and proximity to major roads and the 590 expressway For all of that, however, it was completely quiet and peaceful And all at a great price We strongly recommend this facility

Debbie Smith

Good enough for our 1 night stay Room 124 was very minimalistic, which is fine I did like that there was no rug (those can be gross if you think about it)

No closet but there was an oddly sized wardrobe No bureau but a desk Room was pretty dark for our liking because there wasn’t any overhead lighting There was an ironing board, hair dryer, mini fridge and microwave Looks like they were either in the process of remodeling or finished Noticed little things like the paint on the inside of the door was peeling The nightstand was either scraped or it was paint droppings The window shade was too small for the window and so if anyone walked by outside they could look in and at night the outside light shone in and was annoying especially if you like to sleep in the pitch dark The bathroom was HUGE so maybe we were in a handicapped room because there were grab bars everywhere The sink water never quite got cold enough so we went for ice but the ice machine was broken and the desk clerk had to get us ice from the office But the biggest disappointment was the “deluxe” continental breakfast they claim to serve We have stayed in enough hotels to know this was not anywhere close to “deluxe” and barely qualified as continental There was coffee (no decaf), tea, milk, 3 types of juices, granola bars, pre-packaged danish, and applesTHAT’S IT!

Lynda C

We booked a suite because we were staying for two nights I’m not sure whether they’re in the middle of renovations or not but reviews from two months ago mention the same issues Air conditioning was very loud, and didn’t reach the bedroom, so fans were added which contributed to the noise as well

Curtains were just panels, so didn’t help with darkening the room The faucet was very loose, so you had to hold it to turn it off and on Was disappointed with the breakfast

Pool was spectacular Shirt but very fun stay Tons of stores and restaurants nearby Best part was the breakfast, do it yourself waffles, bagels, muffins, cereal, omelets, sausage All free!! Staff was very pleasant and courteous

Lisa Wyble

We chose the first floor, king size bed room We brought our fur person, of whom is not spoiled beyond a child ;), and it was magnificent The connecting door does amplify sound of drunks at 3 am, but overall I’m going back as often as i can

Great staff, service, amenities, lots to eat/do around the hotel The breakfast was fresh and really good, waffles for us and sausage for the fuzzy man YOU CAN BRING YOUR DOG! Seriously, your dog needs to behave and have basic training, don’t be that person

This property provides excellent customer service in a clean and inviting atmosphereWhen we arrived there was a challenge with my payment instead of acting like it was a big deal the desk staff was pleasant, patient and accommodating Once resolved the lady at the desk checked us in quickly and efficiently

She provided water, cookies, spa information, local restaurants plus details about breakfast at the hotelThe restaurant Char has wonderful food, if a bit pricey The host and wait staff are friendly They make you feel welcome and special We stayed for five days and Megan worked three of those, she remembered the table we wanted plus how we liked our coffeeThe evening front desk staff always had water and fresh baked cookies when we returned after a day of exploring What a lovely way to end a dayThe property itself is decorated with a modern feel and beautifully maintained gardens The hotel hosted multiple events (a wedding, a company meeting and an anniversary party) with no disruption to other guestsThe rooms were clean and well stocked The only challenge was that while clean the chemicals used for the elevators was strong and unpleasantWe would definitely recommend this property and will stay again when we are in the area

Xavi Otero

Lack of maintenance elevator forces hotel staff to constantly use both guest elevators to move stuff up and down, creating long waits for guests to get to their rooms, or the rooftop venue Toilet paper is cheapest available Breakfast is not included

Room is dated and balcony has cracks on the floorNow the good: Staff is friendly and professional Room was clean Good place to stay if the only thing you need is a comfortable bed

Kimber Saint-Preux

The room was not up to par, unfortunately the furniture was dirty and the room was not clean after requesting cleaning services This was not the real disappointment unfortunately the management at this location could care less Ryan (Assistant Manager) called my room on a phone that I reported broken and did not call back the cell phone as requested

When I contacted him because he did not call back his attitude was rude and truly unprofessional I am a Diamond member and truly this is not the level of service i am use to when traveling and staying atHilton hotels and resorts A huge disappointed in this experience I was dealing with the death of my aunt whose funeral I was attending, Having the Manager be so rude and careless when I requested to share my experience was very disheartening

So the biggest thing is the updates for example their website says they have a pool yet there wasn’t one it apparently has been gone for 2 years they have a dining room but when asked to use some of their silverware for our own meal or any take out cause they do offer take out they refused and said it’s for people who purchase on the restaurant only

Margeaux Amico

We’ve had nothing but trouble and haven’t even gotten to keep a reservation We’re on round three and noone picks up the phone, we’ve been given wrong information or told we can’t rebook when they won’t honor our package Since the kitchen is not open Sunday and Monday (part of our package) we need to also align with the spa and cannot book out months in advance, while also not providing a rain checkdue to no availabilitywhen we have to book for the spa on shorter notice

I have been told this is because they won’t know the availabilityuntil the week of I’m sure it’s a great place and we bought the package over six months ago, still unable to stay because of the mismanagement from the staff during each reservation attempt

K Bocinski

Stayed here to attend a concert at Nazareth College We were politely greeted and check-in was easy Large lot for self-parking out behind the hotel

Our room was on the 3rd floor No view The room was spotless Not a smudge on the mirrors, no fingerprints anywhere, nothing out of place Minimalist, modern decor Lots of very tasteful, indirect lighting Beautiful walk-in shower with pristine glass wall/door There is no carpet – the floor is some type of wood-look, vinyl flooring Bed was not “wow” but was certainly comfortable enough, with multiple pillows However there was a loud group down the hall (we passed multiple bags of crumpled wrapping paper in the hallway upon departure this morning) and they were up very late, loud, in and out of their room with the door banging several times This continued until around 2 am The other issue was what I assume was the heater for the room – behind a locked door with a grate at the bottom as you entered the room – that, when the heat (?) was on rumbled like an old refrigerator that was off balance It was distracting enough to require the TV volume up a bit higher than normal and very distracting when I was trying to fall asleep These were relatively minor issues and I would stay here again

The lobby was really nice looking and the people working were kind and very helpful But

The rooms were not what I thought they would be I held them up to a higher standard before I arrived Their double bedded rooms are small I figured they would be the bigger rooms since they’re supposed to fit more people With 3 of us, it was cramped The chair in the room was covered in stains Also the breakfast was cold by the time we came down to eat and it wasn’t that great over all The free breakfast that other Marriott Brand hotels arrive are much better than what they had I would suggest to go to a local restaurant instead The pool, hot tub, and fitness center were really nice

AJ Murray

Had a week long stay, while down for my daughter’s graduation Right from checking in, super late, our experience was great! Gentleman on the front desk had us laughing all the way to our room, missed his name, but he was awesome Hotel was bright and clean

Pool and hot tub very relaxing Hotel restaurants had great service and food Our room was perfect, plenty of closet and dresser space High pressure shower!! And if thats not enough, terrific restaurants and tremendous shopping nearby We will be staying here again, on our next visit! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Derrick Harris

The morning staff was awful The night auditor didn’t greet me as I approached the desk to check out and the person in the back came to the front desk and simply starred at me What happened to customer service???The rooms are dated and the cleanliness is nothing to be desired

I would not recommend thus hotel

This hotel is nice and the suite was very spacious, but I would not advise couples use them for wedding hotel roomsThe staff was all really nice, but they were pretty disorganizedWe booked a suite and a room next to it to use while getting ready the morning of our wedding, and I even confirmed that via email with one of their staff members the week leading to the wedding

Upon check in they had assigned us to two rooms on separate floors (luckily they fixed it right away)The most disappointing aspect though was that the hotel was supposed to inform any of our guests at check in that there was a limo shuttle to the wedding, and that didn’t happen which caused a lot of confusion for our guestsAlso – the rooms are not sound proofed well, you can hear cars and motorcycles from the street very clearly all night

K.A. Carroll

Fantastic stay! The property is centrally located (walking distance to downtown) Everything is brand new and really well done – large guest rooms with mirrors, electric outlets and USB ports where you’d want them, in room coffee bar and comfortable beds Very impressed with the staff — from the knowledgeable and welcoming front desk staff, cafe bartender and housekeeping crew who made sure we were aware of nearby restaurants, attractions and events

WiFi was fast, lobby area was well lit and had plenty of seating Sparkling clean and we never had to wait for elevator Will definitely be back!

Hugh Stephenson

From the moment you walk into the big beautiful lobby you will know you have arrived at a brand new Marriott property The staff are super friendly and welcoming I will not forget Desiree or Jayvon

Shannon in the bistro is a hard worker and they are lucky to have her The bed, the linens, the towels and accessories are top notch Can’t wait to come back

The Hotel on Monroe is a newly refurbished hotel, which is very clean and tastefully decorated It’s location is in a nice neighborhood like setting on a main street There are many shopping areas with restaurants just a short drive away

Downtown Rochester is also a short drive away The owners were caring and genuinely concerned about our stayI would stay there againThanks again

Douglas VanNiel

I had a nice chat with the owner He is remodeling! Using locally sourced, premium fixtures and furniture Very nice

Continental breakfast and Keurig coffee were OK, and upgrades planned in the future Two notes This is technically a small “motel” on Monroe (The doors to the rooms face outside to your parking space, not inside to a hallway Not an issue, just a clarification) Second, I wish I had more time to read, and explore, and discuss the spiritual book of Hinduism, available in our room The Gideons typically place a copy of The Bible ( the spiritual wisdom of Jesus in Christianity) This alternative is certainly a discussion starter if nothing else

At first glance it’s great But when u look closer not so great The toilet handle was broken

It worked but it was still broken The shower head sprayed water in all direction The hot water took a bit to get hot There was a kitchenette but only 2 pots , no pan and one of the pots was rusty Also the microwave was dirty and needed to be washed We stayed 2 nights and no one came in to clean up ie change the towels and trash While we were there The bed was horrible u sunk into it Definitely needs some work

Depends on the time of year you stay I’ve been staying up there for my daughters medical needs at the University for a few yrs now The hotel seems hit or miss on quality

Depending on the staff working It’s a sketchy area Keep your doors locked obviously Homeless wander and beg for money The police do patrol regularly, which is slightly more comforting

Stayed at the Hilton Garden in for a night and overall we were happy with our experience The rooms were ok Large and spacious

It was really quiet There is a dining/bar downstairs that had good food and drinks The only suggestion I would make is the parking garage doesn’t give very good direction after you park where to actually enter the building Kind of confusing

Jeffrey Scarlett

Stayed for a week in a suite It was large and clean The bed was very hard though! The front desk staff were very friendly people

However, housekeeping was nonexistent The entire stay they only came once They took the trash I placed near the door, did not dump the cans, did not make the beds nor straighten anything else up I did get a clean set of towels The area was very convenient to everything and they had a good restaurant/bar called Drifters Overall my stay was very nice I just wish housekeeping was a bit more attentive

Chow Greanya

So very disappointed First time staying in a Hilton and I expected so much more than an ordinary motel room Ordinary mattress and bed covering, ordinary pillows, ordinary towels, wrinkled sheets, smallish room

No extra sitting room space and only two chairs, a desk chair and an easy chair On a positive note, service was good We were given after requested, two extra luggage racks, extra towels, coffee pods and tp Breakfast was good if a bit pricey and those serving were friendly and helpful

Stayed at the Pittsford Hilton Garden Inn this weekend Happy to say that the staff, namely Audrey at the front desk, went above and beyond to make our stay truly memorable It’s so refreshing that in a world where many people are doing more with less at their job, Audrey and the kitchen staff took great joy in making our stay excellent

The hotel itself is an older building but kept up very well It’s convenient to both Pittsford and Fairport, and there are a few restaurants within walking distance as wellThere is a small outside patio that’s good for relaxing during nice weatherThe pool area is simple but nice, all kept very cleanWe will be sure to stay here again when our travels take us through the area!

Booking was a nightmare and couldn’t understand the woman on the phone After 30 minutes of trying to figure out what she was saying I thought I had it I didn’t; ended up calling for the address for the hotel again and she again gave the wrong address

I had to give my spouse the phone to see if he could get it It was very stressful as it was getting late Finally got the right hotel address by looking on google for addresses that sounded kind of like what she was saying Got there and hotel staff was absolutely fantastic! So kind/understanding, and knew us when we walked in the door The room was very clean and smelled fantastic!

Wow, start to finish this was a great location and stay Stefan checked me in and he was helpful and informativeI was put in the safari suite and it is one of the most creative, large, and nice rooms I have stayed in my travels

For reference, I stay in around 100 hotels a year both domestic and international

MJ at front desk was super, and the breakfast lady was a true ray of sunshine! Rooms were very clean, and housekeeping staff were very nice and accommodating Water pressure was low, but adequate, except for one instance where the water shut off altogether This is a very comfortable, well appointed hotel, and I would definitely stay here again
