We planned to stay a week at what we thought was a RV Resort but realized very quickly that this is a mobile home community with a few RV sites We had to be moved from our original assigned site to another nicer one because our rig was too big for it This place is misrepresented on their website

It did not have laundry facilities nor did they share that they were under construction building it What a waste of time and money on this stop for us If you are looking to bring your RV and live here, this might be an option I think they pay rent instead of owning the property but the mobile homes were very dated so who knows what the situation really islots of very senior adults living very close together with no security at all Definitely not for RVers looking for an RV Resort

Stayed here with my partner during busy Pride weekend We were really surprised how decent the rate was for its prime location Loved that we could walk everywhere without driving the car once the whole weekend

It’s a really charming spot with a lot of history and excellent service Coffee downstairs in the morning was delicious and room was immaculate and very comfortable The only caveat I would say is because it’s a vintage property, don’t expect all the comforts of a modern cookie-cutter hotel But if you’re willing to give that up for a more unique stay, this inn is an excellent choice

Old time hotel so no coffee maker microwave or fridge AC was an old window unit kinda noisy However the room was clean had a huge bed and nice bathroom with great water pressure

Had a really nice little coffee bar and beer and drinks at the bottom of the steps ( no elevator ) at the front door Everyone was very nice as well 10 minutes to the pier , nice location No pool either All and all I enjoyed it just know what you’re looking for b4 you book!

The bathroom was dirty and smelled of urine When we came down go let the staff know I was told they would be glad to tidy the room It would take more than tiding this room

The bathroom would take major scrubbing There were even dirty shoe tracks on the floor, but the worst was the toilet seat and the tile around the toilet I could not stand the smell When I told her it would need more than just a tidy up she said she would be glad to change our room and gave me a key, but she had to explain to me that there would be a $75 change fee That’s when I raised my voice and said why would you charge me for changing my room when she gave us a dirty room She immediately took the key she had given me out of my hand and asked me to leave When I told her this was no way to do business she told me to leave She told me to pack all my things and leave I have traveled all over the world and US and have never been treated like this She said if I did not leave right away she would call the police I did not want to escalate things any more so I packed up and left We found a great place just two blocks down the road for less money, very updated, updated (which this wasn’t) larger and a beautiful bathroom which did not smell of urine and a large enough vanity to put more than a comb Avoid the Cordova at any price

CURRENTLY UNDER CONSTRUCTION!!! While I’m not one to normally leave a bad review, our stay at the vinoy certainly left a lot to be desired especially given the price At first arrival, we noticed that the hotel was under construction which was not previously disclosed to us The construction was loud and the fitness area was unavailable which was not noted by staff or easily seen on the website (if at all even present) when we booked our room

We were greeted by Susan who was both rude and unprofessional two days in a row So why give it three stars instead of 1? Following these experiences, we did speak to Gabriel the manager who worked to smooth things over The historic hotel is absolutely beautiful even under construction and the accommodations (other than the sound) were great The other staff, specifically Ismail, Marcus, Jimmy, and those at the restaurant went above and beyond to make our stay pleasant Because there was only one “bad apple” and construction was going on, we were encouraged to come back which we will consider because of the people who did enhance our experience

I was here for a conference Wonderful hotel in a nice location in St Petersburg The staff is friendly and nice

The rooms are nice There are two sections: the older original and the newer section While I was here (Mar 2022), the older section had a lot of construction happening I heard they’re updating things to go for a 5 star rating so surely the updates will be worth it

I expected a much better experience At a late night checkin, front desk receptionist argued there’s no way I had a room because they were fully booked After checking, she realized that I did and gave me my key without apologizing! The shower drain in my room was clogged

The safe was not working either To top things off, I found a note in my room saying they will be coming in to upgrade the phone system during the day I called the front desk requesting no one should enter my room in my absence They assured me this won’t happen if I leave the “do not disturb” sign on my door When I returned to my room later that day, I found they had entered and upgraded the phone anyway Finally, I went down to the front desk one night asking if there was a vending machine anywhere, but attendant said “no we don’t have one for guests” I walked away confused thinking “do they have one for staff?” Five minutes later I asked another receptionist who nicely pointed me to the vending machine! I’m not sure about the quality of the training here, especially night shift It’s a shame!

Check in was very quick and easy, they also have free breakfast every morning (6:30am) which is fantastic! Bathroom was clean, bed is incredibly comfortable and the room is spacious with a kitchen (stove and refrigerator)

I was there for a convention and the hotel was very close They gave an air conditioned gym and a self serve laundry and a very nice pool area to stay cool Staff was polite and service is quick All I all a very worry free stay This is my go to hotel when I visit Tampa!

Megan LoPiccolo

The rooms were clean, big suite, enough room for our family of 5 I would have given 5 stars but we weren’t happy that the pool closed at SEVEN o’clock most hotels we’ve stayed at and we’ve stayed at many, close at 9, 10 or even at 11 pm The fresh baked cookies were yum and breakfast was decent I just wished it went a tad later like 10 but there were a lot of choices

I would stay again if it wasn’t so pricey

I stayed for business for 3 nights The hotel is historic and old, but lovely The rooms are great, and while I always love a massive smart tv, it’s not a deal breaker in my book

All of the staff were friendly and efficient, but I have to call out one Alexis in the bistro was absolutely amazing Personable and always helpful Went above and beyond every chance she was given All in all, great stay in a beautiful building with great staff

Jory Sandusky

A very tired hotel in desperate need of a new water heater and renovation Buzzing fluorescent lights in the bathroom, barely any hot water through my three night stay and furniture all from 1996The staff have all been amazing- great energy and warmth at each interaction

They quickly sent maintenance to address the running toilet in my room as well

Lorena Melcher

Halfway through a 5-night stay, I discovered dried blood on the comforter that had been covered up by sheets I immediately went to the front desk, showed them pictures of the comforter, and asked for the comforter to be removed and replaced I left the comforter for housekeeping where they could clearly see the blood

When I came back they had simply remade the bed with the same comforter I had to go back down and reask for housekeeping to remove the bedding which they finally did, but do not appreciate that they did not take the matter seriously when I first reported it nor did they offer to change my room I will not be staying here again and am very disappointed with how it was handled That said, the staff at the coffee shop is amazing and were the only good part of my experience at this hotel Do not recommend staying here

Right from the start, you can tell that they are customer focused! That means a lot these days There’s an old world charm to this place that you don’t get in the corporate hotels The hardwood floors and the vintage decor/large nostalgic murals & canvas prints Bring you back in time

They give out free water bottles to start, then anytime you want them The pub/taproom best foods in Saint Pete, and we tried a lot! It’s an excellent place to stay if you want to walk to some of the best little restaurants or down to the pier The bathroom in our king room was definitely smaller than I would hope for since we stayed for five nights And the view of the parking lot wasn’t that great Wish we could’ve had a balcony room, but those booked too fast The other positives made up for any negatives The outdoor pool, bar & staff were the best! Although it was only in the 70s most of our stay, we always took advantage of the sun, lounge chairs, cabanas, drinks/food and the music at the pool! Very cozy feel even though you’re downtown:) Will definitely be back!!

Stayed here with the family a few nights Great place in downtown Very close and walkable to the pier, and many other things

The pool was nice I would have liked to take a water bottle to the pool deck for me and my daughter but I guess that isn’t allowed, which i suppose i understand I wouldn’t want bunch of rowdy folks sneaking liquor in either The room was nice and the staff was very helpful

Sandy Foster

I love this place! All of the staff – from front desk, housekeeping, wait staff, bartenders, maintenance

were exceptionally helpful and kind This is a historic hotel, so yes, the rooms are a bit small and dated, but that’s part of the experience If you don’t want that experience, go to the Marriott The hotel is clean and well maintained The pool area is a gem in the middle of the city Hotel is easy walking distance to cafes, museums, waterfront, etc The food and service in the restaurant were great Outside dining in long, covered porch is lovely, albeit, somewhat noisy with street traffic, but again, it’s in the middle of the city

What a value! And if you like antiques, this is the place for you! DH said it was like a stay at Grandma’s The service was excellent! Breakfast was included as was overnight parking We just missed the inn’s happy hour

We booked directly through the inn for the best rate The rooms may show a few dings in the paint, but it’s all a part of period charm The linens were spotless!

Tony Eller

We needed a short getaway and decided to go to StPete We found The Inn on Third and gave it a try

It’s a charming place with great hospitality The owners operate the business and somehow create the feeling that you are staying with family while there The location in the arts district is very convenient and the proximity to the “pier” is an easy walk If you are looking for high luxury, this is not it The rooms are adequate, the wifi is very good (and free) If you are looking for location with good service and friendly atmosphere, this may be just right

Kitt

Despite it being a historic property, the room was clean and smelled fresh I was worried it may be dingy like some other hotels I’ve been to that are old The front desk service was amazing

Bill welcomed us and was overly helpful and friendly We also dealt with the owner on a couple of occasions He was incredibly pleasant as well The location is perfect, reasonably priced We will definitely be back!

We were there to help my Mother-In-law close the deal for a new house in the area We always stay at Hampton Inn’s for we always have had fantastic experiences This was no exception

The staff was absolutely excellent! They even let us print some contract material, which went well beyond what is required The pool and breakfast were equally excellent The one issue is the mattress for the pull out mattress was slightly soiled, but in no way takes away from the overall experience Very well done!

We were in room #111 facing east Our room wasn’t fancy but was stylishly decorated and we enjoyed our stay We had water on both sides of the hotel so plenty of scenery was available

We met friends in St Pete/Clearwater a couple of times (45 minute drive) The Sunset Grill and Beach bar provided good food and drinks and is a 3 minute walk Bahia beach (3 minute walk) is small but it worked for our needs Other than that, there is not much in the area

Tammy Lewis

I will never visit this place again The host and property manager (QWEN) was EXTREMELY rude and disrespectful We had to contact them numerous times before receiving a short response

We asked to change our reservation due to a tragic event and she refused to even speak with us Booking contacted them and advised us of how distasteful their management was to them as well Sadly, they have ruined a trip for our children with their lack of manners and business skills I recommend they find someone else to manage their units before they find themselves in a lawsuit

w stewart

I highly don’t recommend this place for having a stress free vacation this place is a joke

trash and cigarette butts everywhere, the pool was nasty the hot tub was nasty and so was the beach the check in process is flavegasting I got the feeling as though I was being scammed seriously a lack of communication Qwen the host seems to be money hungry in trying to charge for every little detail do yourself a favor and pass this one by it’s a doozey for sure

I can’t say enough wonderful things about this hotel It’s beautiful, convenient and super clean The best part is the staff, most notably the front desk staff

They are helpful, caring, compassionate and treat you like a guest and not a number I’m going through a very difficult time in my life and the front desk angels swooped in to help me I couldn’t be more thankful and appreciative of them Definitely stay here if you’re looking for a 5 star experience for a 3 star price!

This hotel is fun, funky, and cool! Rooms are basic but stylish and immaculately clean Lots of great hang out space to meet other guests and staff is friendly and helpful Unbelievable location– easy walking distance or quick Uber to world-class attractions, local restaurants, and shopping

The Tap Room restaurant in The Avalon’s sister property next door has great food and is open early and late for sit down, quick bites, or something from the bar Would absolutely recommend staying here Only suggestion to improve the experience: an in room mini fridge would be really nice and our room could have used a second lamp

EDITED:This was my first experience with this hotel, so I wanted to write a reviewThe room was nice and spacious, the bathroom was nice and everything was clean There was a smell upon entering the room, which I’m not big on cleaning chemicals personally, but with what’s going on I understand that some hotels use them

The AC is very powerful so be wary if you put it on too cold, as there are no fan settingsThere is an $18 a day Valet, and the valet was quick and attentive when needing the car The front desk was helpful and nice when checking inThe pool had some leaves in it but was overall clean and was enjoyable to useThere were a couple of little things that happened, but overall I would definitely stay again

Hotel looks very nice, but my daughter was BIT by either a bedbug or a flea! I was laying in the bed feeling very itchy, so I thought I’d go and take a shower to see if that helped I moved to the other bed in the double Queen room and was fine A few minutes later, my daughter complained itching and something biting her

Low and behold, she had three visible bites from laying in the very same spot I was laying in The front desk manager didn’t offer any kind of refund but the lady working the night shift brought us clean sheets My daughter refused to sleep in the bed after getting bit so I sacrificed for my child’s comfort, and went back to the itchy bed I felt something crawling in my hair and felt itchy most of the night Sadly, I was told by the hotel manager, Erin, that only housekeeping could verify if there were live bugs, which is quite comical since fleas and bedbugs are very tiny and hard for the eye to see as it is!!!! She basically kept saying it might have been a mosquito and made me to feel as if my claim was invalid which was quite insulting She definitely could have taken care of me by offering some kind of refund credit My total was $179 and some change after taxes she just kept repeating we were staying at a discounted price already and she could offer me a free drink or food item from their snack bar I would have been a returning customer if they would have taken care of me but bugs and bites are a HUGE NO FOR ME!!!! Terrible Poor business Poor management So disappointed!!!! I asked my daughter to show me her bites, and yes she got three visible bites from laying in that bed!!! I have one bite on my leg as well but it’s all in my head, right? People beware!!!! You will most likely have the same issue and be made out to seem as if you’re making it all up… I was told pest control just came and sprayed Tuesday so obviously they have a problem with pests to begin with GO SOMEWHERE ELSE UNLESS YOU WANT BUG BITES!!!
