Service and views! Justin’s service is exceptional and made sure my stay here was outstanding They went about and beyond the norm of a hotel Accommodated me for anything i need and got me a beautiful bay view

He and his staff are on point5 nights total and my stay was very comfortable and i can’t wait to make another trip and bring my family with me Hope to see you all soon! And with an amazing bar and food in the lobby! Thanks for a warm welcome

Really poor hotel, staff and amenities The staff are uninterested in main They do not want to provide a good customer service experience

The bar is often unmanned, the breakfast cafe was sometimes unstaffed and closed The bar menu is limited at best The rooms are not clean We had blood on the floor of the room and the concierge staff were somewhat surprised we asked for the room to be cleaned In the end they just put some towels outside the door Guests also bring their own bags in on trolleys in a 9 floor hotel The parking is charged to guests at $30 per day without any discount or free access to paying guests A terrible experience all round and would avoid at all costs if you are staying in Redwood City

On the plus side the staff are outstanding, friendly, try really hardOn the needs improvement side: property was once branded as a SofitelThat was clearly some time and some age of the premises and upkeep ago

Recently rebranded from another name to Grand Bay, the temporary signage they’ve slapped on the building looks so sketchyDespite its outstanding location in great proximity to a number of large businesses in the area, the building is very tired, in need of upgrades, very limited food services, no real amenities or services on site No laundry In the rooms themselves, definitely tired and in need of renovation Defects in the bathroom walls have been painted over repeatedly Cleaning is just so so Hairs in the bathtub which clearly were not mine No robes, no laundry service, and if your luggage is lost like mine was there’s very little that they can offer you to helpRoom service staff are extremely pleasant and responsive but the menu is very limited and the prices are out of step with the quality of the food All food comes with plastic utensils and plastic containers and delivered in plastic bags so it’s never hot by the time it gets to your room and just feels like cheap takeout At very inflated prices Food services hours are very limited Bar shuts at 10 You can’t get anything to eat all afternoon not even room service Room service ends early Not 24 hours Makes it challenging for the visitors who are coming to this area from all over North America and internationallyThe building itself has good bones and the location is fantastic right on the water with a great outdoor patio But a significant lift and investment in refurbishing the physical premises and an improving food and beverage hours and quality and adding the amenities that business travellers expect would raise the status of this property But for now it does not justify the price as it chargesAlthough this is the most convenient location when I come to the area, I won’t be staying here again unless there’s a significant refresh

This hotel was great! From the comfy beds to the good breakfast and the kind staff! We came in to enjoy San Francisco as tourist The front desk was super helpful in suggesting things to check out and even offering the best ways to avoid costly parking downtownThe hotel itself was clean, had coffee and tea available all day and the rooms were great

They supplied extra pillows when asked The cups in the room were real glass not throw away paper ones- which was nice The breakfast was omelets, sausage, make your own waffles, yogurt and fruit The drinks included juice, tea, milk, coffee and filtered waterI would for sure recommended this hotel if your looking for a safe place away from the main downtown part of San Francisco or flying in

My family and I stay here every other month so it’s become sort of a home away from home Really happy to see the cooked to order breakfast is back Omelets and pancakes plus potatoes and sausage along with the normal American continental options

Would love to see some alternative meats offered (turkey or plant based sausage)If you can get a room with a view, it really is lovely I love the trail along the bay There are bikes for rental as wellThe pool wasn’t very clean on our last visit so that could use some regular attentionJulie at the front desk is a gem Airport shuttle is convenient

This property doesn’t want customers who can only stay one night I was traveling for business, I am a Hilton Honors member and was staying one night only as I had training nearby The hotel refused to book me for one night on a Thursday night! They gave me the run around telling me that they were fully booked

Then they finally admitted that they don’t make one night reservations Apparently that’s a hotel “policy” now Well, that’s the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever seen from an Embassy Suites I’ll be taking my business to the Marriott down the street since they still value one night customers! By the way they have also changed their happy hour to 5-6:30 with only 2 drinks per customer We used to hold after training business meetings here and enjoyed the happy hour As responsible adults I think we all should be able to choose how many drinks we decide to have Very bad service from this Hilton property and I will never stay here again I know they don’t care that they’ve lost my business, but just a warning to others that if you need a one night stay you can forget it

Saia Halaliku

The suite we had was great The hotel was easy to get in, and out It was also within a short distance to all the attractions that we wanted to get in this trip

The room was very clean, and a pretty good size The continental breakfast was very good The swimming pool, and the sauna seemed to be very busy, and the common areas were kept Although this property does not have a kitchen, or a full restaurant

A little slice of heaven that I do NOT want to leave! I wish I could give it ten stars! The staff is so welcoming and everyone remembers your name, the food is scrumptious and plentiful (and MANY gluten free and vegetarian options as well as meat), there are so many classes to choose from, like yoga, classes, massage, hikes, fitness, etc, and the land is beyond breathtakingSo many redwood trees, hiking trails and so many places you can sit down and relax, read a book, journal by the hearth fire The energy in this place is welcoming and kind and if you want to just sit by yourself you can or if you want to socialize you can

Everyone is so respectful and courteous (and genuinely so)Such an amazing experience that I will not forget soon I will be back!

Holly Benzenhafer

Canyon Ranch Woodside is a gracious gem of a retreat center nestled in the redwood forest on Skyline Blvd I immediately begin to calm as I drive through the gate and enter this serene property The trails, nooks with thoughtful, quiet seating, and buildings all nurture an intertwined engagement with the natural world that is gentle and renewing

Even more, the staff are a group of the most gracious, welcoming, and kind professionals – every one of them takes a keen interest in guests’ well-being and needs while evidencing a camradarie as a team that speaks to their care for their work and the space If you have a chance, go Gift yourself the time to rest, restore, and be nurtured at Woodside It’s amazing

Excited to stay Nobu Hotel in Palo AltoNice ambiance and unusual rest room with toto vide The lighting system was so modern

However, the service was not great Room cleaning had to be requested at 3 pm after though staff had come earlier but only refilled the mini barThe picture is Japanese Breakfast Bento which looks good and tastes good

We were excited to stay at Nobu as we understood, from their marketing, that it was exceptionally cool, exclusive, and boutique We looked on their site for a nice room and found that the Zen Suite (about $1,200) was available for the night we wanted to stay, which happened to be that same night When we landed we checked again to see if it was available and it was, but since we were only a few minutes away we decided to go right to the hotel and check in rather than reserving online

The two young gentlemen at the front desk (early twenties and very inexperienced, but doing their best) laughed when we asked about the suite and said they were all booked and that Expedia was likely having problems We said we saw it was available, not on Expedia, but on the Nobu Palo Alto site and we pulled it up in front of them Anyway, don’t trust their site for booking, you’d have to call to be certain before putting in your card info to make sure you aren’t booking a room that doesn’t exist inside the cancellation time Then it just got stupid they only had rooms with two queen beds (which by the way they are not queen beds – they are doubles which are really small) Since we were already there and tired we decided to take the two queen room Got to our room and a large panel fell off the wall when my wife opened the safe The paneling isn’t aligned and opening the safe cabinet door was enough to dislodged a 3 by 4 foot heavy panel from the wall which then fell on her We switched rooms The next room had a lovely thick black hair in the sink, maybe a dark sushi noodle, not sure It was end of day so we decided whatever we came up against we would stay The beds are not queen beds, but I mentioned that already Rooms are small TV is enormous and really great, but very limited channels but still – it’s a great TV Shower was ok but no hand held and they have a “Japanese” style wood floor in the shower which serves only an aesthetic purpose, and maybe to hide hair underneath, but damn it hurts the feet Bathroom is very tiny The toilet was unbelievably great and the showcase of the room, along with the TV The toilet is fully automated with remote control, heated seat, squirty things etc Basically you are renting a toilet and TV with some surrounding furniture No electrical outlets next to beds – just USB ports which is fine but not if you have new iPhone etc Carpets are stained, mostly because of the color selection we think which shows an archaeological history of prior guest shenanigans There is only one elevator which gets tedious The common areas of the hotel are sort of finished but not really There is an odd second floor patio that is 8 feet wide with some furniture facing a wall Nobody was out there There are surely other spots to stay that would be a better value and still very nice We couldn’t help but think Nobu is more of a marketing and food services company than a hotel company We give three stars which we think is fair for a three star hotel

T W

The highest level of service ever received! The hotel is simple and refined The best concierge I have ever interacted with! From toiletries to arranging sightseeing/recommendations (everyone from valet) {so personable!}Excellent hotel for business and pleasure 5-star hotel without a stuffy Four Seasons/Ritz approach

Room service is top notch Front desk was super responsive when I needed more shampoo/conditioner/Nespresso podsWe stayed in a Ryokan room which I can not emphasize just how incredible and serene the room feels We were granted early checkin as soon as we landed from SFO at 11amI booked this not expecting much, but the small touches and personalized attention is what sets Nobu apart from anyone elseThe 82 inch tv is magical as is the heated toilet seat, you’re welcome!

Incredible hotel! From the moment you walk in, you can tell it’s a special place The ambiance is unlike any other hotel I’ve stayed at The artwork and photography throughout add such charm and celebrates the history and achievements of so many Stanford greats, providing a strong connection to the area

The restaurant and bar within the hotel (both indoors and outdoor) are spectacular! I highly recommend this hotel and will never stay anywhere else when I’m in the area!

The room was great and worked for what we needed The sofa did have a stain on it The AC unit was pretty loud when in use

The hotel and room felt clean although we still took precautions The breakfast was decent, the hot tub was nice Parking is $9 which I still don’t understand but we never had to worry about not getting a space The staff we interacted with were professional and friendly

Roman Villiger

Highly recommendedThe staff is very friendly and helpfulThe rooms are wonderful

My hotel room was better than my 1st apartmentDefinitely would book again immediately! The selection at the morning buffet is excellentI would love to stay longer

Mother.Nature

The inn is located in an industrial area of San Carlos, but not a far walk from breweries and downtown The breakfast buffet was above average maybe they could mix it up a bit for those that are staying longer than a few days The gym was well equipped and the pool warm as was the jacuzzi

My only complaint was the loud heater and A/C unit as it vibrates loudly when on I literally thought a helicopter was nearby or a train ** please note there is an additional charge of $9 per day for parking at the inn!!** Doesn’t make sense when it is situated in an industrial area

Great hotel, especially for Airline Commuting personnel Has a decent restaurant, however, only open for breakfast and dinner, not lunch There is a nice Diner next door, with primarily Asian food, or sandwiches for inexpensive dining in or takeaway

Hotel Staff are always accommodating If you have any issues during your stay, the staff respond immediately No 30 minute wait at this place to get something addressed! They are on it, right away! Convenient 30 minute shuttle 24 hrs to/from airport No laundromat, unfortunately Many hotels offer free or inexpensive washer/dryer accommodations, and I would love it if this hotel also offered, however, it is not offered

Erika Solomon

I hosted a family reunion here The space was great for all our events and space where we just hung out was comfortable and great The hotel staff were wonderful and friendly, bartender made good drinks

Rizsa in events was phenomenal! She was very responsive and helpful in planning throughout the year She worked with and accommodated all my needs related to my room block at a great room rate, staying within our determined budget, food selections by dietary needs, and meeting room set-up If she wasn’t available, other event staff were assets and assisted if needed I highly recommend this hotel for an event It is close to the airport and there it is across the street from the Bay that has a beautiful view and a place to walk along leisurely or for exercise

Denise Keefe

The airport shuttle was on time and comfortable The check in desk attendant was very positive and accommodating The hotel is comfortable and a great location in proximity to easy access to the airport and running paths

The room was clean and quiet The complimentary coffee in the lobby with large cups were greatly appreciated as was the delicious cookie on arrival I am making my next reservation here at the Doubletree, so I will be back this weekend

Nicole at Front Desk was very courteous and welcoming I checked in after midnight, and our airport shuttle unloaded about six room room accommodations She was alone and handled the situation efficiently and gave individual attention

Her demeanor invited our appreciation and humor at the situationI’m happy the breakfast buffet is back The staff serviced the full cafe, bar and extra-seating area gracefully and effectively

Daniel Wicker

Outstanding hospitality displayed by all staff The property is very clean, restaurant has excellent tasting food The decor of the interior of the hotel is very comforting

Lots of space for all business and event meeting needsExcellent location with 24/7 shuttle service and a Bed that is perfect for a good nights sleepThe manager has done an exceptional job by the way things are ran at this property and the way the hotel looks 5/5 rating from me and I look forward to returning again!

Sarah McCanna

Our room’s linens and carpets had stains all over The remote for the TV wouldn’t work The bathtub drain was clogged so we had to shower in shin deep water and the grout was moldy

No exhaust fan in bathroom and room wouldn’t cool down even with the AC set to 66 so it was hot and muggy The alarm clock in the room went off at midnight on our first night The beds were uncomfortable and the fridge was full of freezer frost and barely kept our drinks cold This room needs some serious attention and maintenance for it to be a comfortable or pleasant place to stay The pool and hot tub were our saving gracebut then the hot tub was shut down after our first day there We were given a parking ticket that we had to get sorted out because it was their mistake Also know that AFTER you book your room, you’ll get an email letting you know that parking is an extra $30 PER DAY The housekeepers were all so sweet and had great manners The front desk staff seemed as though it was an inconvenience that they had to be at work It’s rather unfortunate because this hotel has so much potential If all you’re interested in is a nice fitness area, a pretty pool and a convenient location then book a stay! If you’re looking for a clean and comfortable room, look elsewhere

This hotel is very pretty in the lobby area but our rooms were smelling a little funky, found a small bug on our bed (which we were changed out of immediately) The funky smell was in all the 5 rooms that we had purchased for the weekend I would definitely suggest that the cleanliness isn’t sacrificed

Most towels had stains, bathroom wasn’t cleaned properly, smell in the room, bed sheets with a small stain, and a little dusty ANDDDD…they have free shuttle service from the airport to the hotel Super convenient! Overall decent stay but I might not be back to stay again for the second time Great staff!

Drew T

The hotel’s proximity to the bay gave us great access to some beautiful walking trails The complimentary shuttle to the airport was one of the biggest perks, as we were then able to access the BART station at the airport to make our way down to the piers Front desk staff were very kind, and the dog treats and potty bags were a nice touch

The new, COVID-era of periodic room cleaning was well explained when we arrived, and we were very satisfied with the quality of the cleaning servicesThe room itself was okay, though below par for what one would expect of a Hilton The room decor could use a remodel as it looks a couple decades out of touch The bathroom was spacious, though the tile and bathroom vanity made it have the vibe of an industrial kitchen The windows were too dirty to really enjoy the phenomenal room, though there was a note that an exterior window cleaning was scheduled for the following week Finally, breakfast was VERY overpriced for what you get at the buffetWith that being said, we booked this hotel specifically for the airport shuttle and affordable price The sheer beauty of the surrounding area was an unexpected plus The outdated-ness of the room was more of an aesthetic letdown than anything else, otherwise our experience was very satisfactory

Henry Vargas

Had no idea that breakfast was not included after they had literally pushed it on me with no mention of price I asked if we can take it to go and she said yes Figured no big deal right?! Not once was I given a menu or told there was a charge for the Continental breakfast that was awful

Eggs were not cooked fully and the bacon was dried and too salty To our surprise a check was delivered for $56 I let the hostess know and she said you Can more than likely get it taken off or at the very least a discount Nope not the case Front desk lady pretty much said too bad so sad Not to mention the pillows and amenities of the hotel needs renovation, badly Overall not a great stay Disappointed to say the leastI’m

I have been to this hotel’s bar area a few times and they have a good selection of drinks and small bites The backyard is very meticulously designedThis tome we stayed for a night and got a good deal since it was a last minute booking

And wow, the room was so beautiful The attention to details, all the nice finishes; amazing Bed was comfortableThe only issue was all the 4 pillows in our room were hugeBut overall highly recommended

As a Marriott Bonvoy member I enjoy exploring hotels in different locations I also really love the Autograph Collection hotels because they’re always modern in aesthetic and amenities What I love about this location is that it’s outside of the hustle and bustle but still very convenient to anything you could desire

The outdoor space is intimate but fulfilling- with a beautiful pool & poolside cabanas as well as a lawn with lawn games right next to their bar and restaurant area The rooms are quiet and modern I personally love the corner rooms and soaking tub You will definitely enjoy your time here

Horrible experience!! First the hotel is beautiful and the staff is nice However, after this everything falls apart We arrived just before 9pm

Was told the restaurant and bar is closed Then we asked if we could order room service and they said they don’t offer room service Then the next morning I couldn’t find the lotion in the bathroom I figured must have been a simple oversight, so i called down and they informed me they don’t offer any kind of lotion What? I have never been to a place that doesn’t offer lotion!! The blackout shades are designed poorly and don’t overlap so it’s bright in the morning Traffic is noisy But it is what it is I guess can’t do much there However, today we went down to grab a quick bite before our flight and the place was completely empty We asked to sit outside and they informed us they couldn’t accommodate because they were fully booked (please look at the photos I’m attaching, there wasn’t anyone seated!) paying $800 per night I would expect more The way this place is ran leaves much to be desired

This is a beautiful hotel in a great location We are locals The service and amenities are top notch

But only after you get through the front door Note to management, when I visit your hotel for dinner and spend over $700 dollars for 2 people, I don’t appreciate being gouged $50 for valet parking This is absolutely egregious <<< Maybe others are accepting of this Not me I didn't pay the fee The valet didn't touch my car, he insisted and wanted to drive it, but I wouldn't let him, Period! Two times I've let valet park a car for me and both times my vehicles didn't come back in the same condition Not only that, I don't want some stranger in my car touching everything after he's been in 20 other cars that same evening A little accommodation during COVID would go along way engendering some goodwill But there are plenty of reviews riddled with people's dissatisfaction with your outrageous parking fees I might understand if I was spending the night at your hotel, but we were there for dinner Be warned everything that the others have said about this hotel only being interested in extracting every single penny from you is true Charging a premium and being premium are two very different thingsNo apologies are needed, they are insincere and we all know it

Came here for a conference and it was a wonderful place to stay Spectacular views, large and well-appointed rooms, friendly & helpful staff, and, of course, amazing views Take time to enjoy a walk along the coast and warm up at one of the fire pits in the evening

The food is great here, too with lots of healthy options Every area has fresh flowers placed throughout the property

Wow! What an amazing hotel and great amenities offered! Had the best experience for a party of 7, celebrating a friend/colleagues 40th birthday Tony, our server, went above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by the host and guided to our table (in the wine library)

We were able to grab a drink at the bar, watch the sunset, while listening to to someone playing bagpipes (no lie, this really happened – almost seemed like a movie scene with the fog, music and sun setting) Thank you to everyone who made this experience so memorable!
