I always enjoy staying here anytime I go up to the Bay Area for a weekend getaway or mini vacationThis was my 2nd stay It was definitely better the 2nd time around due to some of the Covid restrictions being lifted

I like how they have late late check inRoom was very clean and you could smell the freshness and also see it Did have to do my own little disinfecting due to having hands toddler who touches everythingThe bed was comfy and so were the pillows Was hoping to know what type of pillows are in the king suites might have to purchase themI loved the bathroom set up The walk in shower was Very niceI like that hotels are now transitioning into a modern look decor inside the roomsThe staff here were very friendly and cheerful Even the housekeeping staff were very kind and helpfulSanta Clara is a nice city and I love atmosphere thereThe breakfast was good hereOne thing I must say was the COFFEE! By far this is the best hotel coffee I’ve ever had out of all the hotels n different states I’ve visited Even my husband was amazed by itOverall I would recommend to stay here if you like visit cities in the Bay Area and don’t want to deal with crowds and heavy traffic

We had issues with wheelchair accessible rooms They put us on the second floor with no elevator So they moved us downstairs into the handicapped room, which we didn’t need, just one on the first floor

It looked like it had been cleaned quickly (there was trash on the floor) and it smelled of smoke When they moved us to the room we requested with 2 beds, it was better, but still had trash on the floor and hair in the shower I like the in room microwave and coffee maker The breakfast was great The lobby and breakfast room have obviously been updated more recently than the rooms and look wonderful Overall, I just felt like the hotel listing was not an accurate picture of what you get The staff were apologetic about the accessibility issues but overall I still felt like they could’ve done more My son uses a wheelchair and they put us on the second floor with no elevator and then did not even discount us when we had to downgrade to a one bed room I’m not sure if I should blame them or expedia but it should’ve been more clear that this isn’t fully accessible

Great location for the conference Food served during conference was good; however, limited options for non-meat eaters especially for breakfast No non meat protein options

The only other critique is placing water bottles in rooms only available for special members otherwise there is a charge Why not provide water at check in to these members rather than those of us not at the same level of membership seeing the water is not for us in the room? Not very welcoming

Jenn Thompson

This hotel is in need of some serious updating The furniture is old, and the bathrooms are outdated with patch up work and peeling wallpaper The hallways are very loud – doors slam, so your morning comfort depends on how early your neighbors decide to start their days

The location is great and having the market downstairs is nice The rooms seemed to be cleaned well It’s definitely not as upscale as the pictures and reviews make you think

Antonio Ly

I typically do not write reviews, but my experience at this Hyatt was poor, which is sad because Hyatt has always been a go to for me when travelling We arrived late at night only to discover right before bed that our toilet did not work After calling the front desk to report the issue, we went downstairs to the front desk (at midnight) to switch rooms

We went up to our new room to find the toilet leaking, and there were no toiletry items such as q-tips and cotton pads in our new room We reported the issue and requested compensation The hotel told us they would get back to us After hearing no response the next day, we followed up and were offered a $100 dining credit to be used at the hotel (where rooms service closes at 10pm), which was worthless to us because we did not plan on dining at the hotel However, that was what they could offer so we accepted and ordered room service When we checked out, they charged us the full amount for the room service, and did not consider out $100 credit We had to follow up to be refunded Overall, whilst the employees were polite in their handling of the matter, the service received was poor which was very disappointing for a 4 star Hyatt

I stayed at this hotel with my bf for 1 week The hotel is new, clean and the staff is very friendly, specially MARIA at the restaurant, she’s a sweetheart and her food is amazing! She treated us like family and gave us great recommendations for getting aroundThe only downside I’d say is the first room we had on the 1st floor in front of the pool was too noisy but when they switched us to the 2nd floor was great!!I’d definitely stay again here and I recommend it!

Sam was the night desk woman She was so kind and after hrs driving around trying to find a place We found this Gem

EVERYONE is nice Upon walking in we knew we’d love it for our stay The rooms are very nice and impeccably clean Felt so comfortable Roomy rooms and beds are so comfortable Now moving along to breakfast LOVED the idea of them serving us It was set up with class They handled the food with gloves No slop from visitors Very clean The refrigerator was a great idea it had sealed fruit, yogurt, and milk which was self served Cereal was served by personnel which was boxed not in those funky turning thing The did have out a pancake machine with a touch only of a button They came out of bottom All you needed to do was place a plate underneath it Overall, I have absolutely not one complaint Elizabeth was a very nice and informative woman Need anything you just call 5 star for me people and I’m tuff Referring to Overall experience Thanks Maple Tree Inn

chamisa crockett

This is place is a gem It was so clean, the staff were super friendly and helpful I loved the jacuzzi and pool, my daughter and I practically lived there during our stay

Super quiet location, but not far from restaurants, and grocery stores About 15 mins away from Great America, and an hour from Sant Cruz Beach boardwalk Not to mention a decent free breakfast, normally bacon, scrambled eggs, pancakes, yogurts, fruits ,pastries, with coffee and juices Definitely booking again

Zoe Field

gave us the wrong room at check in, was combative about changing it (despite having paid for two beds, was given one) and refused to give us any more than three towels as three women The pool had no towels at all (hence why we needed more towels, also have you ever tried to shower with one hotel towel that isn’t full sized with long hair?) They kept repeating that they told me I need to leave my dirty towels outside of the room before noon to get clean ones, I don’t need clean ones, I need MORE TOWELS

Not only did they respond defensively, but completely refused to give us any extra towels at allThe breakfast was cold, you don’t get turndown service daily, and the facilities are so-so really disappointing two night stay for over $400 I recommend staying somewhere nicer for more money if you’re already willing to shell out this amount for this place

Ants were covering on our floor when we first walked in (even with no food in the room) We asked for our room to be cleaned multiple times each day and it wasn’t cleaned until the third day of our stay! I spent at least 30 minutes each morning getting rid of the ants We had to empty the garbage on our own so that more ants wouldn’t come into our room They kept saying our room would get cleaned but I had to ask four times before it finally was

On top of this, they gave us one roll of toilet paper for a five day stay I addeda star for the housekeeping staff because they were very kind but something should be done about the organization, attentiveness, and timeliness to resident requestsupdate—even MORE ants came into our room I called the front desk early in the day and again later in the day to get the room cleaned Again, it did not Front desk staff were rude and unhelpful Would not recommend staying here and never will again

Wendy Barnes

Very unhappy Rooms were not up to Best Western standards, asked for room service on day 3 of visit, no show Parking a absolute nightmareHowever breakfast I must say was pleasant and had a nice selection

Frontdesk help was exceptional Though these were pleasant exceptions, we wouldn’t stay again

Aliana Tabibian

Not worth the price, from my experience Guests that stay here are noisy, not the best area Rooms are ok—feel old and stale

Breakfast is lackluster The daytime front desk worker was condescending and rude upon my arrivalNot a terrible hotel, but not worth the the nightly rate whatsoever

I want to be clear that this is not a bad hotel by any means Certainly not a hotel horror story you hear about At the same time, I was slightly disappointed based on the reviews I had read, so I thought I would post

To start, I thought based on the pictures online that a “premier room with balcony”, would have a room overlooking the pool, or a hood view of the town at least based on the pictures I saw online My room overlooks the parking lot, freeway, and a strip mall across the street Not a huge thing, but somethingThe jacuzzi was down when I was there Not hot, no bubbles Again, not a game changer, but just something And when I did visit the pool, there were people present who were glaring at me and my son We didn’t feel comfortable or welcomed and so we left that area Again, not something to make a big deal of, I could have said something and didn’t But somethingI think a fair comparison in any hotel review is a Motel 6 Everyone has stayed at a Motel 6 before You know what you’re getting into with a Motel 6 – cheaper, pretty bare bones, nothing to write home about, someplace (usually safe) you can lie your head at night There are better places, equal to, and worse places to stay than a Motel 6… I feel like my experience here has been equal to a Motel 6 Which I don’t think is a slam (again, not a bad experience), but also, just a very average hotel stay when I definitely paid what I think was premier hotel pricing I had to pay for overnight parking, which I didn’t see advertised anywhere, and I was even told upon check-in that housekeeping is only coming to rooms once every three days I’m sure that is a cost-saving measure at this point, but those cost savings are not being reflected in the pricePerhaps I’m being slightly unfair in that I didn’t speak with staff before writing this I’m not sure what they could have done though short of reducing the price, which I’m not sure is a fair ask They can’t change the view off my balcony or make people not look at me And again, it’s not a BAD hotel All the staff have been great I just thought I should write something though since I do use reviews myself when picking a hotel

Otto Weirich

AMAZING STAFF, I was staying here for work and long story short there was an issue in my room and all of the staff did an amazing job taking care of me and even upgrading my room for the inconvenience I wish I knew the names of the other employees but Erin the general manager runs a great hotel with a great team I don’t think I have ever been treated so well staying at a hotel than they did here

The rooms were super clean, and looked great They have a bar and small dining area serving breakfast lunch and dinner with a wonderful bar tender I will always choose this place when staying in the area again Thanks Erin and team!

Matthew Gant

The room wasn’t fully cleaned Notes from someone’s take out order left on the dresser Garbage in the hallway sitting for hours

The hot tub wasn’t heated Refrigerator in the room didn’t work The free breakfast area was closed They just had a few items in a basket with an empty coffee container There’s an extra cost for everything $12 a day for parking with signs everywhere saying they’re not responsible if anything happens to your car So obviously things are happening to the cars

True to brand, this property has fast, fun and friendly serviceThe rooms have all of the AC essentials, and are in excellent (like new) condition Very clean

Beds are comfortableLocation is quiet despite being right near the main boulevard (El Camino Real)Parking is a little tight, and the fact that they charge for parking is questionable given that it’s an unattended lot I get the parking pass to prevent locals or non guests from using the lot, but charging a fee is a bit excessive

Miri Lim

I stayed one night in June, and I want to share about the excellent staff, Louise I had plans to have drinks with my coworkers at the bar but unfortunately the bartender called out sick so my coworkers and I didn’t know what to do The front desk staff told us we can pick up drinks from the liquor store across the street

We did that and Louise took care of us by providing us with cups and napkins We were seated outside and he left the door open for us so we can stay late He was so nice and professional! I would definitely stay again As with any AC Hotels I love the clean rooms and the quality of the bed

Kristen Parker

I am a very light sleeper, and in general prefer to have a quiet hotel room There is very little sound proofing at this hotel I could hear every step of the person above me and every word from the room next to me

We decided not to stay the night because I knew I would not be able to sleepThe hotel staff was very helpful and kind and provided a refund The hotel was clean and modern, so if you’re a heavy sleeper or don’t mind a lot of noise you’ll be fine But if you’re looking for quiet, I’d suggest a different hotel

The rooms are beautiful and well laid out The issue is that they’re very loud! No matter which said of the hotel you’re on or how high, the highways make it very noisy The staff are great and very helpful

The breakfast was really good and not just for hotel food, but compared to actual breakfast places Good place but know that highway noise may affect you if you’re sensitive to that while you sleep

Raj Shah

A great hotel to stay when you’re here for a week or longer They have breakfast and evening snacks, drinks as well There are a few amenities like a swimming pool and business center

The laundry room has a couple of washers and dryersThe layout of the suite is such that the living area barely receives any light Since I was working remote and from the hotel suite I ended up in the bedroom the whole day Better layout would help the guests utilize the suite completely

Michael Gonzales

I would have given 5 stars, but we had problems w our keys Got in our room initially, then the key did not work the 2nd time Went downstairs & got new keys on our way out to a concert

We returned late that evening and our keys did not work again It’s after midnight & we need to go downstairs again, 9 floors They tell us the door lock battery is dead Help is there quickly & installs new batteries, however, we are getting to bed after 1:00 now Luckily we finished our experience with a good breakfast the next morning As Diamond members, we are appreciative of good accommodations and experiences

The charm of the place grew on me over my stay At first I thought I was checking into a haunted mansion, it is very obviously an older hotel But the room upgrades are nice, the bathroom was completely redone and the bed was nice and comfy

The furniture in the room is old, but it works (both functionally and aesthetically) They have a lovely breakfast array out every morning with coffee, teas, fresh fruit (whole and cut), cereal, pastries, yogurt, and more The hotel was extremely quiet, and parking is super close and easy The front desk staff are lovely and super helpful This place is definitely not your modern chain hotel, but I appreciate it for what it is Would stay again

Leigh D’Angelo

The hotel, room, and eating areas were very clean The hotel was so quiet The room was spacious

The continental breakfast offerings were fresh There were no hot items available for breakfast; however, it did not matter to me What was offered was more than adequate! Parking, indoor or outside, was free Price was right We will definitely stay here again!

DON’T BE FOOLED by the exterior (and maybe the lobby area too ) It’s a hidden gem under a haunted-house coverI stayed here for the first time in April 2022 even though I have driven past hundreds of times

this hotel is in perfect location for people who like to have easy (and great selection of) restaurant access, like to have HOT FREE breakfast, and who do business in the valley, especially the fruit companyThe room is very quiet the interior is nicely done, not tacky, and thoughtful, ie two universal outlets and plenty of type-A (US) outlets, stable WiFi connection with wired connection available AC is great and the window could be open up if you prefer natural airI stay with a lot of chain hotels for work and personal travel I am confident to say I will choose here over Juniper/Aloft/Marriott in Cupertino Did I even mention its very competitive price?I wrote this comment in the hope of they survive in this tough situation, even though I would rather keep this hidden gem myself

Front desk staff is wonderfully helpful and kind Easy check in and out, and lovely rooms Splurge for the king suite with bath if you can, its worth it!! Hotel is clean, parking is easy

I forgot a blanket in my room while checking out, they were prompt in having someone go up to the room and bring it to me within 2 minutesAs a bay area/San Jose native who comes back to visit now, this has been my favorite hotel stay by far Thanks Juniper!

Daniel Varela

As a regular Hilton customer I have seen usually really great service and care to detailHowever this hotel needs a little help

I’ve always been offered a couple bottles of water beyond my first night I was reminded that water is only available the first day Strike 1 Strike 2 the restaurant downstairs has crumbs on the dinning tables and the coffee saucer doesn’t look like it’s seen a bit of soap The seating outside looks nice I’ve asked if the heater could be turned on, I was responded with “I don’t know” A little bit of extra care can go a long way Sometimes the little things can go a long way

I was able to reach customer service quickly with just, a call, text or online chat Representatives were so personable and made us feel like we were special Rooms were clean, good snacks in the vending machines which also had deodorant and other toiletries in case you forgot yours at home

Virtual check in was seamless and we received our codes via email, online and text so we couldn’t miss it! I had a wonderful experience and will definitely book again, rooms are very affordable and close to Santana Row and other shopping centers

Bonnie Munson, MS, IDS

Great room Super clean, comfortable and attractive There is no visible “service” and no one to call if something is needed; the welcome host on video talking to us in the lobby was a little odd

We had all the instructions texted to us ahead of time However, there were some really nice hospitality touches, like cookies and water when we arrived in our room, an incredible coffee selection for the Keurig, and table games put out in the evening in the common area All amenities we could have asked for were provided Really a great experience if you don’t need human contact!

Adam Nelms

Have to give LOTS of info for VIRTUAL check in, but they make the process easy and straight forward Didn’t see a worker the entire time we where there Code to get it main door, same code for room

They had a cool little game room, sitting area but the room and hallways were way too hot, area needed AC on Very clean Biggest complaint was its on a VERY busy main road so there is road noise most of the night, they the provided ear plugs is a nice touch Public coffee machine in the lobby was cool, but most flavors and options were out

This was a great experience! I stayed here because there was a conference in town and all the downtown SJ hotels were taken This was a great alternative! The room was very comfortable and the service from the host is very warm and inviting I had a great breakfast in the backyard patio and met a few other great people during breakfast

You also get access to cookies, port wine and other snacks/beverages whenever you’d like I highly recommend this B&B! I will certainly be back!

Madison Street Inn was lovely and the perfect choice for our weekend moving in our daughter to Santa Clara University What could’ve been an ordinary stay at a hotel became a special weekend getaway for my husband and meWe loved the welcome chocolate chip cookies and port, and the B&B charm! The pool and hot tub were a bonus and it was beautiful being served breakfast outside on the patio

We plan to come back every time we visit our daughter at school

Our first stay here and it was lovely Breakfast was to die for Danielle was gracious and accommodating

We enjoyed chatting with the other guests over breakfast The only thing I would mention is that the gal cleaning starting vacuuming while guests were still seated in dining room We will certainly try to stay here again the next time we are in town

Hotel was at a great price and the breakfast buffet was delicious we stayed for a total of 2 nights the buffet consisted of eggs bacon and fresh toast and other thing It was delicious 🤤 the second time thy served sausages, eggs , and potatoes 🥔 It was delicious as well

The parking was 10$ per night you can come in and out for no extra charge The staff was amazing 🤩 they were friendly and professional We called the front desk for more blankets and pillows and they were quick to bring it to our room😀 I will definitely stay here again ✅

Pretty secure location – main door is locked after 11pm and needs a room key to open (or you can get buzzed in by front desk if checking in) Plenty of parking out front in a garage, at least at night Not sure about parking when the stores in the shopping center are open? I wasn’t there long enough

Room is adorable! Mini kitchenette which is great for longer stays or prepping your own food Has a desk and a sitting area, which is perfect for those who have work to do Bed is comfy Bathroom is well sized It is located right next to an expressway so there is traffic noise, but the windows are new and do a good job blocking a lot of it out I have family maybe a mile from this location and will definitely stay again

Stayed here for 3 nights and the staff was very friendly and accommodating The surrounding area is nice too with restaurants and a Safeway within walking distance Room was clean and didn’t have any issues other than being close to the freeway

Breakfast was good each morning with sausages, bacon, fruit, oatmeal and different breads to toast Would stay again

Great new hotel! Located in a more business park area, nice and quiet This is a beautiful property and when we stayed felt like it had just opened in the best way Patricia at the front desk helped us out and was SO nice and friendly

She made us feel welcomed and let us know about the amenities of the hotelRooms are so beautiful Very modern without being space age or cheesy Elegant furnishings that look like they’ll hold up The direction hotels should be heading Most comfortable Marriott bed I’ve slept in! Rooms have giant mirrors in the entryway and the bathrooms are a great size with a waterfall head shower with a handheld unit tooThey offer a full breakfast in the lobby in the morning which we did not actually try due to our plans but it’s nice to know it was there as an option The property shares it’s grounds with another adjoined hotel called Tetra which offers a fast coffee option and a Japanese whiskey bar The bar had great drinks that were affordable for the area

Beautiful modern design and finishes Very clean room with excellent toiletries providedOne downside was the bathroom area

The door looks like a design from a restroom The door doesn’t go to the ceiling nor to the floor If you were here for a romantic stay, this would be a deal breaker There is no privacyAnother downside was there is no menu in the room for what’s offered in the bar nor the $18 (!) buffet breakfast

Very new hotel Clean with sophisticated decor The rooms are large and comfortable

The pool deck is modern but the pool is too small (about the size of half a hotel room) During our visit, a family with 5 kids took it over I’m glad they had fun but disappointed that we weren’t able to use it at all Would be nice if the hotel could have a courtesy rule for limiting pool usage of one party to 30-60 mins if there are other guests waiting, or have adult-only hours
