We had the opportunity to stay here at the end of March 2022 It was an overall good experience The room was clean and well laid out

Great balcony view as well All of the staff was accommodating and extremely patient and friendly We went to breakfast in the main lobby restaurant and had a fabulous brunch that I would highly recommend to anyone staying here We really also really liked that the self parking was very close to the hotel It felt like a safe place to be in and around the hotel My only con is in regard to the Hurricane Hut… the drinks seemed to be weak and full of sugar and the food was not super yummy However, the service was excellent and the portions were large Again, an overall good experience I will totally be staying here again if we ever return to Sarasota!

Stay was a good time Parts of the hotel do seem dated Staff are 5 stars

Pool area was great What I liked less is hotel had a convention and a cheer group event during my dates They used the common space that at times took away from use of those not part of the events such as lobby seating area Wish it was different They have activities to do off site but what I would have liked is a good shuttle program to other areas or the beach I did see a shuttle to a restaurant if you wanted to leave to eatWhile mentioning food it’s a bit limited When I looked for dinner I noticed half the menu was same as offered at the poolWe had a mid sized car rental if your going into downtown get a car as small as you canGreat beaches and restaurants easy drive to visit

ReneeOnPoint

Do not let my three star rating discourage you from visiting this Hyatt Regency location You will receive five star service from check in to check out and that’s what will make your stay pleasant The location offers a beautiful view of the marina

There are so many restaurants within walking distance The hotel decor is extremely dated I just didn’t get that feeling of being in a “luxury” hotel The rooms offers all the amenities (robes, slippers, coffee, tea, toiletries) I read s company purchased the hotel and they plan to build another luxury hotel on the site I enjoyed my stay and will continue staying at Hyatt properties

I love that as a Hilton honors member we get a $10 credit per person for breakfast, it’s the reason why I always book garden inn Breakfast was yummy and our server was absolutely wonderful, very friendly However I was a little surprised that they do not have any fresh fruit for the pancakes or French toast

The night time gentlemen at the check in desk was very kind and even helped to store some pies for us in the restaurant fridge until checkout Which meant so much to us, because they were for my mom, and I wouldn’t have been able to do that without him! All in all, the service here is fantastic and the employees really match the Hilton way by giving great service to their guests The pool is also a decent size, and gets lots of sunshine so it’s nice to lay out And it’s nice that they have brochures with all the things to do in the areaThe rooms however are a different story The beds are extremely uncomfortable, hard and old The room has a very clear musty odor as soon as you open the door (probably from the very old carpets and curtains getting stuff spilled on them over the years) There are no fans in the bathroom so pray nobody needs to go number two during your trip And the pillows under the cover are completely yellow The hotel needs a serious renovation, especially being in such an upscale town like Sarasota Being an airport hotel is not an exception, especially when there’s another newer Hilton in the same parking lot

Theresa Hoban

The hotel is very spacious with nice modern decor The restaurant and bar had good food and drinks but only to go because they have no servers The pool is large and great for families

The staff were very nice and customer service oriented They have some cleaning and repair issues The grout in bathroom was moldy, stain in bathtub, wallpaper peeling and stained, carpet had dark spot needing cleaning Shower curtain is loose from wall Furniture needs touch up where it’s scratched up They made error on final bill that I caught when I was home They corrected it and got the $10 refunded

Ana Lopez

Booked this place because it is pet friendly and my family and I were traveling with my small dog Our stay was OK, nothing extraordinary but we did not book any extraordinary rooms I like that they do have a pool available

Only thing that we did not like is the welcome We booked online 2 rooms and when we arrived for check in, the guy only gave us one key We then realized that we booked for 2 rooms, went back and asked He said that since we didn’t say anything he didn’t know But don’t these people have a computer screen in front of them with all information? Like we were already charged for both rooms, but if we don’t say anything we don’t get both keys? Also, he didn’t ask Very sarcastic tone was given For a one night stay its fine but will look for something else if its for longer

From the moment you walk in you’re greeted by the two most wonderful young ladies with smiles that make you feel instantly welcomed!!! Our room was clean, very modern and overall very nice The pool was amazing and refreshing, the tiki bar was a blast with the most absolute best bar tender Denise, once she takes your first drink order she remembers your name and makes sure you are always taken care of, making everyone feel as if they come first Top notch service here from the office all the way through!!! This is by far one of the best hotels we’ve stayed at and I will definitely be going back as well as highly recommending!!!! Thanks so much for welcoming our family and making us all feel right at home!!!!!

My room was recently remodeled, sparkling cleanedThe hotel is very well maintained, security cameras everywhere and the laundry and pool accessible only for guestsExcellent customer service

This hotel worth every dollar spent

Joe Klapperich

This place was absolutely AMAZING Older? sure

undergoing renovations? Absolutely The room was spacious, updated, pristine and wonderful Check in was effortless Tiki bar was VERY nice, bar tender was friendly and prices were more than reasonableONLY ISSUE – this is a VERY INEXPENSIVE place where you are getting MORE than double your money as an experience HOWEVER – this ALSO means that the “Riff Raff” chooses tom stay there Persons can be friendly, or rude We found 80% friendly, the other 20% wanted to ENSURE that everyone know they were there, they were visible, and that they didn’t care what ANYONE else thoughtManagement did the best they could, but in the end – not a whole lot they could doWould we stay again? 100% yes! Will be our “go to” next time

Jessica

Very nice hotel! The first thing they offer you is a welcome drink, That’s a good start if you ask me! The rooftop pool and bar is to die for! The food and the service is great! Everything was clean including the pool bathrooms which were equipped with a baby changing station They have really cool things in the room that you have the option to buy (at a pretty steep price) and my kids had a fun time with them

Charles Schor

This boutique Marriott property features a great location and beautifully designed rooms More importantly, the staff were all very helpful and focused on customer service We had a problem with our room on the first night of our stay

Management not only resolved our problem by moving us to another room, but then exceeded our expectations by delivering to our room a charcuterie board and champagne as well! I wish the weather was a bit nicer during our stay so that we could have taken advantage of the beautiful roof top pool and barnext visit!

Susan Mell

I stayed at this hotel beginning of March for one night and returned in April for two nights Love the location and staff Great experience

Love the Art Work The only thing I would suggest to change is when the Hotel schedules an Event on the Roof Top and it is rained out, they hold the event in the lobby of the hotel I do not feel this is fair to the hotel guests since we were not able to enjoy the music and bar due to this large event taking place in the lobby With all the people in the lobby it was very loud However, we will be back and hope there is no event on the roof top Great staff Everyone is friendly and very helpful

Myself and my wife recently stayed for our birthday weekend Despite the initial confusion due to the construction we were able to locate the hotel pretty quickly The valet team was quick and efficient and for $35

00 per night which includes shuttle service It was an absolute blessing! Upon checking in, we encountered Russ who was quick and efficient and ensuring every person was handled! We asked to see if there was any upgrades available, and he was able to put us in a city view! The room itself was pleasant If there is only one nitpick, would be from the television/remote due to the slow delay from button push to registering I do recommend getting the breakfast package as well as you can order off the menu versus a “limited” item I even got to experience new foods that I normally would never think to try! Huge shoutout to Jenn for making us feel welcomed! The roof top bar and pool provided an exquisite view for those who enjoy tanning/having a pint! Best hotel my wife and I have stayed at!

Jessica Tinsley

We’re locals The spa experience was fabulous! Irina did my facial and she was so so awesome I left feeling so relaxed and it was such a treat

The Siesta Sunset Royale was the perfect destination for my girlfriend and I! We stayed in a well-furnished studio that had plenty of space to live in The pool area and jacuzzi was perfect for late night hangouts or post beach swimming to cool off!The location of this hotel was amazing as well! A quick 2 minute walk and you were on the sandy pathway towards the beautiful beach If you walked from the opposite way of the beach, a swift 5 minutes and you would be in the heart of the town on Ocean blvd! You could find shops and restaurants and all sorts of fun things that you could do throughout the day

A huge shoutout to the owners as well, they take such great care of the place and are super understanding Make sure you ask them fun things to do around the town and they will provide amazing answers! I highly recommend staying at this place, especially with its reasonable pricing!!!

Stayed here for 2 weeks after we moved to Florida while our house was getting ready for our move in The food was phenomenal, loved getting to know the staff and the locals around the area The place was a blast while we were there, vacancy wasn’t too high so there weren’t an overwhelming amount of people

Having the private chairs and umbrellas for the beach was perfect Would definitely stay there again!

AB

I haven’t actually stayed here yet, but we’ve had breakfast there once, and brunch another time The resort is beautiful and right on the beach As far as the restaurant, it was excellent

Both the food and the service were fantastic, and you can’t beat having a nice meal, 8 stories up and overlooking the ocean Even though I’m local, we’re actually thinking about spending a weekend here to enjoy all the amenities Traffic and parking in the area are a little bonkers, but fortunately the resort does have a valet Two thumbs up for the Lido Beach Resort 👍👍

I enjoyed my stay in this hotel Location is right next to the airport and collegeRooms were roomy, nice and clean

The bed was actually super comfortable We enjoyed the pool as well, although they could do with some shade out there 😅 Slept in an missed breakfast so I can’t comment on that, although I do find free Breakfast to be a huge perk

Lucy Lucy

This is absolutely the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in I always wipe down everything with Lysol wipes at all hotels When I wiped down here, I did not get one speck of dirt on the wipes! Zero! I tried to find something, but found nothing! Spotless! The breakfast was adorned with multiple options

The staff was pleasant The location is great!

Santrina Glover

I visited on July 29,2022 I read all the reviews and that plus word of mouth led me to this hotel, It was everything and then sum The rooms were spacious the breakfast was AWESOME, and the property is very well maintained, yes the bed and pillows are soft but that made for a better nights rest

The location was only 15 to 20 mins away from EVERYTHING we wanted to explore Don’t second guess your choice about this location, I promise you will not be disappointed, and even if something is not to your liken, they have a really great staff that would love to make your STAY the best EVER😋👍🏾

I cannot say enough good things about Michael and his family Last minute we were told that we could not bring our puppy to our VRBO- leaving us with 3 days to make new accommodations I contacted Michael and he went above and beyond to find an accommodation for me and my little guy

Did I mention he did this all during the busy and often chaotic holiday season? Michael made it possible for me to spend Christmas with my family after 2 years of being apart because of the pandemic- for that I am eternally grateful It’s no surprise this family run business has been around for quite some time because it’s FANTASTIC & I am so glad to support a family business The entire family cares deeply about their guests experience and think of every small detail! I cannot recommend beach palms enough and will never forget their hospitality!

Dan Deckers

This was a last minute decision Called and spoke with Michael who said he had something for us for the night I asked for a late checkout so we could get the most out of our stay at the beach and in Siesta Village

He was very accomidating and gave me a very fair rate The location is perfect as it sits on a corner of a quiet street directly across from a less trafficked public beach access The room was a little outdated and could use a little beach makeup The place could use a little sprucing up and it would be the best spot in the Village All in all we had a great time and had no complaints We really appreciated feeling welcome and at ease Give them a shout !

Diane Schriver

I loved everything about my stay, here The 2 bedroom cottages are charming and the owners and their son Michael who manages the business, are wonderful people The private tropical setting and the amenities , facilitate total relaxation and serenity

Easy access to the beach and steps away from Siesta Key Village I could well imagine family gatherings or friend gatherings here I rented 2 cottages for our group and it worked perfectly with the shared patio in between

Disappointed since we had other expectations based on the review prior to staying at AloftFirst of all, make sure to park on the street, Sarasota has free overnight parking and you can avoid the $18/night valet fee The valet that was there when we arrived on 2/13 gave very poor service, did not open the door for either of us or help with our bags and was very adamant about tipping which I found strange since it’s well known that you tip a valet (or anyone really) AFTER the service is done

Why would I tip you before I get my car back? Especially when he didn’t do anything that a typical valet would help with other than the bare minimum This didn’t bother me but I didn’t like how pushy he was for a tip He even told us it was his only day working that week to coerce us to tip him before the service and we literally saw him there a day laterThe front desk staff were great, and the gym was very good especially for a hotel These were our favorite partsOur room was unfortunately very dirty, I am going to try to attach some pictures to see This is how it looked when we arrived I hope that Aloft takes this feedback to improve and give other people better experiences

The good: hotel staff was friendly, pool was nice, bathroom was nice, decor was modernThe bad: beds are very cheap, hard, and uncomfortable Sheets are worse than amazon basic sheets; they feel like paper

In the queen rooms, one bed is entirely in front of the ac, so you get blasted all night I literally had to wrap a towel around my head as a hat to keep it from freezingThe walls are super thin and you can hear everything Pool view rooms let in noise from the pool, which is open til 11pmPretty sure the hotel is haunted My faucet turned on and off multiple times throughout the night, stuff rattled in our bathroom, the chains to the blinds kept being pulled, and pillows flew off our bedThe area the hotel is in has nothing but a few excessively expensive shops At least 10 minutes to any beach aroundAnd parking is a mandatory valet system ($18/night), unless you’re only staying Saturday or Sunday night, in which case you can get away with parking on the street if you manage to snag one of the eight or so spots, 2 of which are handicap Parking there is 2 hour max 9am – 8pm, “unenforced on Sundays,” per hotel management

*** LOVE! LOVE! LOVE this Aloft Hotel***Beautiful property in Sarasota The moment you walk in you’ll fall in love with this property The lobby is modern and has a great vibe

Love the music, the colors, the bar area, you name it! Rooms are clean, modern and spacious with great amenities such as complimentary in room bottled water (2 per day), free in room coffee, also free unlimited shampoo, conditioner and body wash The beds and pillows were super comfortable The pool and spa was amazing as well The location of the property is outstanding Walking distance to many restaurants and shops The only thing lacking in the room is having hooks to hang the towels There’s only one hook, which it was a bit frustrating Overall experience was tops and the staff was super friendly, courteous and professional Will definitely love to stay here again!

Obtaining a beach cabana/ chair, table and umbrella from Kirk and Laurie was the most organized and thoughtful experience in the many years we have rented It was noticed that significant time went into placement of parties, proximity and needs I highly recommend all vacationers rent cabanas

Thank you for such a good experience Kirk and Laurie

First of all, they were so friendly and welcoming The rooms were nice and clean They checked up on us via text message to make sure that things were good and asked us if there was any way that they could make it better

Beautiful view Next to perfect The only thing preventing a 5 star was the water front had some build up of seaweeds and reeds But I’m sure it’s very difficult to keep up with that All in all, we would definitely stay there again Thank you

Magnificent hotel Don’t forget to ask for the super comfortable recliner to be put in your room The service was wonderful

Connie was very helpfulI would just like to add a couple suggestions For this great of room I feel there should have been a microwave in my room A toilet seat cover, and a shelf to shave my legs on in the ample shower would have been nice Some variation on breakfast would be nice tooI’ll stay here again

The girls at the desk were very friendly and helpful The hotel was beautiful, clean and spacious I love how they had an extra little room to get ready in, with a sink, huge mirror and also a long mirror hanging up

The pool was very clean, warm and beautiful The gym looked great too! The complimentary breakfast was the best I ever had So many different things to choose from Awesome waffle machine makers we got to make our own waffles our selves The only thing was the bright lights coming through at night from the lights out front of the hotel, I prefer it to be dark in the room but other than that everything else was amazing I will definitely be going back, I actually didn’t want to leave, wish I could of stayed longer

This was an amazing weekend stay-cation The location was great and the hotel cleanliness was superb Now on to the room and amenities

The size of the room was fantastic with a great view of the marina and city The pool area was very relaxing with sort of a infinity type feeling The pool being heated wasn’t bad at all either I’m a jacuzzi kind of guy but I mean it’s Florida so good luck thereThe staff was very accommodating especially at the restaurant I must say this is by far one of my favorite Hilton hotels and trust me I’ve stayed at a lot

This place is a gem! The decoration is gorgeous, it feels renovated, refreshing and current Every person of the staff is generous and kind, they clearly enjoy their job The gym is stellar, and the pool and the jacuzzi excellent! Breakfast is delicious and with a variety of options

This is fun hotel with a wonderful staff It has a youth hostel vibe but it’s great for families The beds are very comfortable and the decor is wonderfully playful

The one problem with the room is that space efficiency comes at the cost of privacy There’s a sliding door between the toilet and the shower so you can only close one at the time! The lobby has excellent snacks and a coffee bar

Jennifer Collins, Realtor

I was impressed with the location as I was able to walk to the beach in 2-3 minutes, and I was 4 minutes from St Armand’s circle! Our family was able to walk anywhere we wanted and shop till we dropped!Breakfast is not included in the price of the room but is available until 11:00 The buffet option is $20 per person or you may order from the menu The view of the ocean is the perfect morning refreshment! As for problem solving, the hotel was more than accommodating and responsive

I was especially impressed with the young lady at the front desk with her positive attitude and demeanor The only recommendation I might say to the owner is to update the mattresses There are some super affordable comfortable mattresses these days that come rolled up in a box and ship easily Other than that, I had a very nice stay!

The front desk staff were always welcoming and helpful The views speak for themselves, even when there are 30 mile an hour winds and a bit a chill in the air Primary areas of the hotel are clean and nice

Our room was on the parking lot side and guessing not the renovated side Our bathroom shower head was low, my son and I had to bend sideways to wash our hair being we are over 5’8 The tub liner was floating off the original tub and drainage was slow We called about the drain and if maintenance came it did not resolve the issue I write this so future guests have an accurate description of the rooms you could be given It was a perfect location to travel the area from, but as other guests have mentioned time for some upgrades and tlc for a property that could be even more amazing

Urban Traveler

Dated That’s the one word I would use to describe this propertyBathroom gave me the creeps and you needed courage to venture in there, there were stains on the carpet, AC equipment was way too noisy, not enough elevators for the quantity of rooms by floor, swimming pool always crowded

This hotel must have been top notch in the 90’s but clearly not nowadaysHowever, every cloud has a silver lining they say and staff did their best to patch everything upLocation is unbeatable with public beach that is gorgeous right in front of the hotel however when I put into the equation the price paid I believe I am not break evenGuess I will not come back unfortunately
