Staff is AMAZING From the front desk to the shuttle service (not only will they offer you a ride to the clinic – when you need it – they will also take you to a restaurant so you don’t have to drive!) Special shout out to Marquez who noticed the first place he took us was closed – he then drove us to several other places until we found one that worked AND he picked us up – with a fabulous attitude throughout The hotel is absolutely clean and feels safe

I absolutely recommend this hotel

If you’re a solo female traveler, I highly recommend this hotel The area feels totally safe and you need an access card to even enter the hotel I noticed that there are cameras on the floor that I stayed in which made me feel even safer

Getting around-wise, it is less than 400 feet away from the tram, which takes you to either Downtown Minneapolis or St Paul and other places around the city I stayed for a World Cup Qualifier match and I took the tram from the hotel to Allianz Field It took approximately 20 min There’s a grocery store nearby too I disliked their breakfast but I didn’t really expect much from it anyway They keep coffee and water out for guests all day Hotel was quiet and staff was very helpful

Stayed here for a convention My room had bugs Woke up with bites in multiple places

The location was convenient with access the convention center The service is exceptional by some employees The hotel restaurant hosts and servers were exceptional A certain bartender who I won’t name needs some etiquette and costumer service training due to her dismissive behavior The manager did remedy the issue quickly

Harry “Burge” Burgess

DON’T PAY STANDARD PRICEFirstly, I had quite a big discount and was able to split the cost with a friend If this wasn’t the case I don’t feel this would be worth itThe foyer is extremely nice and fancy

The facilities are goodRoom was old-fashioned but nice Clean bathroom and room in-generalIf you’re receiving anything it’ll cost $7 per parcel which is one thing that wasn’t advertisedAnother was that they take a $600 security deposit until your stay is over They put a hold on your card I believe which gets released a few days afterAll-in-all it was a nice stay but the standard price is extremely expensive for what you get

Great rooms, comfortable and well appointed We upgraded and had a beautiful view of the Mississippi Daily breakfast was worth it

They have a nice lobby, hallways and parking are very industrial Service was excellent during the day One night I was treated rudely when asking for a corkscrew? Could’ve been 5 stars but the poor night service bothered me I will still go back, well worth another try

Rebecca Helfritz167

I had a wonderful stay I got into the city very early but I had breakfast which was delicious and the staff got me checked when they could I was in town for a friend’s birthday party and everyone was very accommodating

The only downside was that I attempted to print of my boarding pass for the bus and the printer would not work yet I was still charged for the internet use and copies I never actually received

Joe R

Great location on the river with exceptionally friendly staff The river views were very nice but the hotel interior was dark, very tired and in need of updating Other than the desk chair there was no other seating in the room

When I informed the staff that our room had no chair they though it was odd that there was none and told us that they would look into it We never got the chair The hotel parking garage was an adventure The ceilings in the garage were so low that they did not allow vehicles over 5’9″ to enter The lighting in the garage was terrible I felt like we were parking in a cave Next time in the area I think we will try another hotel

Looking for a place to stay, while my husband needed special care at Abbott Northwestern Cardiac Center Only minutes away from the hospital, everything was as Promised Clean, contemporary, and great service! Restaurant was refreshing, and accommodating

And their security measures were not obvious, yet gave me a secure restful night sleep I definitely would recommend staying! I will return under better circumstances!

We had a pretty large group(including the wedding party) choosing to stay at this hotel for our son and daughter-in-laws wedding I did have more than a few bumps along the way with the room block and was a little nervous how the accommodations would be, however about a week before the wedding, Scott the front desk manager got involved and he is wonderful to work with! He made sure everything was on point and taken care of He routinely checked in with us to make sure we had everything we needed for the 4 night stay, and even upgraded the rooms for the Bride and Groom, and for my husband and I

The rest of the staff were very nice and helpful as well! They even knew or son’s dog by name and gave him pets when they saw him! Overall we had a wonderful experience and would not hesitate to stay here again

Michael Moses

Fairly new hotel, smaller shared spaces with what looks to be a fair amount of conference room rentals Rooms are a couple notches better than a Courtyard, though a couple notches lower than a premium hotel Slightly upgraded features

For a work trip, I’d definitely consider For a personal trip, I’d look to another option in the Marriott groupPro tip: Parking on side street is 2 hr meters that start at 9am For a couple dollars, you can park there overnight until 11am Otherwise, there is a lot (albeit for sale) across the street that is just a few dollars more until the next day

My wife and I recently stayed at this super hip and fun hotel in downtown Minneapolis The accommodations were great, the atmosphere hip, and the location pretty niceAnd while we were expecting a restaurant on the premises, we were able to find several nearby

The PROS: Cool vibe Nice amenities Super, super nice people I especially enjoyed talking with Paris Khoddami and Lynn Williams, both in the Sales/Marketing department for Moxy Also, the bartenders were superbThe CONS: No on-site restaurant (a pretty big miss, IMHO) And the windows don’t open You know, for “Fresh Air?”Other than that, superb visit

Zuly “Catholic Charismatics” K

Dog & Cat Friendly Complimentary house cocktail at check-in Free coffee

Nice gym NO free parking PARK around the corner, overnight for only $5 No pool Smaller rooms No snacks & No free breakfast Hotel smells great Funny or offensive male model DO NOT disturb signs? Awesome architecture & design Plenty of public seating space Convenient location right across trader Joe’s & Jimmy John’s Price okay? More deals are welcomed, can keep this hotel booked solid year round Consider offering hotel guests greater parking discount Finally, exceptional MUK shampoo & conditioner

Michael Bosley

feel like it needs to be said the rooms are nice but why is there a guitar and an amp in my room?? i don’t know how to play a guitar but if someone happenes to come back to their room dunk one night, they might want to try play it which wouldn’t be great for the room next to me as the rooms aren’t very soundproof

Also, the bartenders downstairs don’t know how to mix drinks beyond a simple gin and tonic so be careful just stick to the simple drink requests

An absolute dumpThis review is for the hotel portion onlyElevators don’t work

We have to go up and down 12 flights of stairs (twice) Stairways not marked, not lit and several floors were blocked by power tools, cords etc…The rooms are very musty and dirty Tiny sinks and toilets and rooms not stockedNobody who works for the hotel is there They have a person that sits at the front desk, but they are very quick to tell you that they don’t work there Beautiful venue, but don’t ever stay here

Stayed here for a wedding Currently no staff on premises and you get your code to get in and out of the building and roomLocation is convenient to be in downtown St

Paul Did not park a vehicle for my stayElevator was having major issues during stay Was trapped on the 12th floor in the morningNo a/c on in the main parts so the hallways/elevators were hot Room a/c worked thankfullyBathrooms had step up to enter if you have mobility issues Bed was on the firmer side Room had fridge, microwave and kureg machine

Bridget Wolff

The guy was grumpy that checked us in but another front desk person we met was nice We couldn’t use a gift card to pay for our room I booked the king room on booking

com because it was cheaper than booking with the hotel I liked the standard room better that we got the last time we stayed Our room had a kitchen, dishes, wine glasses and mini fridge with freezer We stayed for winter carnival and it was a perfect location The hotel has the top floors of the building St Paul athletic club has an awesome dry and wet sauna and really nice facilities Nice free breakfast but bring your own cup/mug since they only have disposable options They had recycling bin in the room which was a nice touch The housekeeping staff were very nice We love this hotel

The lobby is nice, everything is clean Bed was comfy Maintenance was good

Hot breakfast and pool good I gave it three stars because the bathroom was so small you can’t even close the door while you’re sitting on the toilet The depth of the bathroom is the width of the tub Should be just a shower if that’s all the space they had Also explains why their website shows no bathroom pics None If you don’t mind that, you will like the room

Noah Lemke

Hotel is nice and pool is nice and breakfast is awesome here, This hotel only got 2 stars because of the pool and breakfast! But stayed here back in Jan for the ice castles and the front desk group are unbearable and rude, simply asking about a room rate that was promised to my girlfriend was too much Than her family stays here because they had a fire at there house and just because they asked for towels and the room to be cleaned they get kicked out! I understand the whole Covid thing but seriously that has been over for a while now and it doesn’t give you the right to be rude and threaten to call the cops! I won’t stay here again nor will anyone I know plus my girlfriends family will probably tell everyone not to stay here til a change is made at the desk When will hotels go back to being corporate ran? Cause that’s the only way it needs to be this independent owners don’t care about the people staying at there hotels nor do they care about the service there team is providing!

Shannon McCloskey

We happily got married and when we got to the hotel it wasn’t until 10ish pm at night on our Wedding day When we walked in there were pop can stains on the counters, sticky stains, trash from other people before us underthe couch, and worse of all there was a nasty stain on the top blanket Other than the lack of cleanliness the friendliness of country inn is wonderful and warming

We were so tired and kept going in and out of the room between our house, celebrating, and then back to the hotel so we weren’t in the room all too long I would’ve said something the first night or the next morning when we first came but I was just so worn out from the wedding I didn’t wish to complain Otherwise it was a decent room I just wish it wasn’t so dirty because out of all moments I wish it didn’t happen to us on our special night

Our room was impeccable and bed so comfortable! Very roomy with classic and beautiful furnishings with modern conveniences added So charming was the lobby, live plants and fresh flowers and the valet were dressed in tux tails and top hats Thrilled to stay here! Their bar and restaurant were equally divine

Thanks for a lovely time here!

Extremely convenient and cool locationThe Hotel has a lot of history behind it, but the rooms weren’t worth the price (I do understand the price compared to location, etc) The room was immaculately clean, though

Just not as big as we thought it’d be for what we paidThe staff were fabulous, and extremely friendly They are the primary reason why we’d returnAll in all, a very fun place to visit

I organize international exchanges for international leaders and have been bringing groups here at least three times a month, every month, for week-long stays since June They LOVE this hotel It’s clean, the beds are comfortable, it’s around the block from Marshall’s, Nicollet Mall and the Light Rail to Mall of America

They take their photo in the lobby next to the wall of wine bottles and futuristic chairs They comment on how fresh the lobby smells (it always smells amazing, I’ve been here several times) Great staff Just a wonderful and economic experience I can’t say enough I never plan to have my guests stay anywhere else

Kristen Cross

This is a beautiful hotel Our bed was very comfortable The room and all the common areas we visited were very clean and well decorated

Bathroom in our room was spotless I’m not sure what brand of toiletries they supply but the shower gel smelled fantastic! Plenty of clean towels too There is parking structure attached so we didn’t have to go outside to enter the hotel We had burgers at the restaurant there and they were fantastic You can even order a whole pigs head if that’s your fancy Great experience overall The only thing I can complain about is the soga vending machines didn’t work on either floor Kind of a bummer So bring your own snacks and beverages I would 100% stay there again though It’s a really nice place

Kat Toledo (Stace)

Excellent place to stay at I did it for the Day Stay option they have for 80 bucks You have to pay for your meals but is 100% worth it

Food and drinks are fresh, tasty, delicious The service is 1A, they care about you If there’s something wrong, just kindly let someone know and they will take care of the matter promptly, nicely, whatever it is During my stay, everything was just perfect

Despite being part of the Marriott Bonvoy program for many years, this the first time I stayed in a hotel of their W brand, and the experience was great Service was excellent during my stay both in the front desk and in the Prohibition Bar The hotel is well-located, close to many eateries and attractions downtown

However, what most impressed me was the Foshay’s design I love hotels that have an extra care with their design elements and, in some of the major chains, it is hard to find something truly distinctive Given the historical nature of the building, there are strong Art Deco elements everywhere However, the interior designers were able to add many modern touches that look both glitzy and historic, while delivering a contemporary touch, especially with the use of multi-colored accent walls Just the right amount of personality — a little more and it would look pretentious The rooms are also very well designed The basic room where I stayed was definitely small (it is an old building, after all) but the use of the right furniture makes it look much more spacious The restroom is very comfortable, and I loved the large rain shower, with the area covered with the same tiles on the walls and on the floor Definitely a place I will return to in a future trip to Minneapolis

Elizabeth Wise

I give this 3 stars instead of 5 for this reason My husband and I came to Minneapolis for his Grandmother’s 90th birthday This is my first trip to the city

I booked the hotel over a month ago My husband and I have different last names and sometimes get confused on whose name is under Upon our arrival to the hotel we were greeted rather hastily by the woman at the front desk She asked us our name, and for our ID, right away She then very sticky said she couldn’t find us and in the same sentence asked for our confirmation number As my husband was looking for the reservation she kept repeating herself that we were not in the system As he stated to read the number he red 2 digits and she cut him off and said we didn’t book it with them that wasn’t their confirmation number She then grabbed my husband’s phone and started to scroll through flipped it around shoved it in his face and said that we booked it for the day before and that we were no call no shows I was blind sided Everything was moving so fast and she was now taking to us in such a condescending manner I was getting upset I finally said to her to look it up under my husband’s name She rolled her eyes and did She told me I needed to be better organized Started to rattle off our room number and how to get there and stopped acknowledging me She made me so mad I started to call around to other hotels because I no longer wanted to stay The 3 starts is for the fun and elaborate decor Nothing to do with the staff because we were never greeted or acknowledged in our 4 day stay at $690 total

Lizsandra Edwards

I have never stayed at this hotel but I recently did pay a visit The best part? The observance deck is amazing! We got keys at the front desk so we could access the elevators and we went up to the 30th floor You’ll find a small museum when you exit and then you can take the stairs up which will lead you to an exit where you can go outside and see a beautiful view of the city

It was a great place to take photos We also made our way down to an area where we sat and ordered drinks The main floor had a very cool fire place and live music too! Many things to do in just one building The worst part? Parking is too hard to find and expensive so we ended up doing valet which was a little over $20 total It is also more of a dark, fancy ambient so it won’t be everyone’s vibe Drinks were also about $17-$20 each which may be too expensive for some but we were having a nice evening with a visiting friend so it was worth it for us

David Farmbrough

The service was very good, from the check-in assistant to the restaurant lady (not really a waitress, as it’s self-service), they were all polite, friendly, and helpfulThe room left a bit to be desired There was a fridge, but no microwave oven, no Corby trouser press, no Gideon’s Bible

The toilet seat was smaller than the toilet The shower was OK, but there was no instructions in the room telling guests how the shower operated, nor any social stationery The smart television was very good though, as it allowed you to connect to your own subscription servicesAll in all, a good hotel

Ryan Hurford

Very welcoming front desk staff that were polite and helpful It’s refreshing to feel like you’re not a number when checking in The place was spotless, the room very comfortable and the shower had two shower heads and had plenty of hot water that didn’t take 10 minutes to get to my room

If you travel much, you know what I’m talking about I will stay here again if the price is within acceptable range Great location, and the parking garage gets you in on the 2nd or 3rd floorI can’t remember exactly

Rosa Morales

The hotel was beautiful, and was kept clean The staff was super welcoming and very thankful when we made a noise complaint about other guests staying on the same floor as us Parking connected to the hotel was $32 a night for in/out parking

Best part of the hotel was by far the shower Spacious with a rainfall shower + hand held shower wand, it was absolute heaven

We had a large group stay at Celeste over the weekend The Celeste staff went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful! The bar staff were very accommodating, the included breakfast in the Chapel Room was perfectly delicious with plenty of choices to meet all dietary needs The rooms were amazing! Our view of the state capital out one window and the old church out the other was second to none

We will definitely stay at this beautiful hotel again! Thank you!

Brianna Sanders

Pros – The rooms were clean and cozy Loved the historical character that has come from the redevelopment to a hotel It is in a great location – many restaurants within a 10 minute walk, the train is right next to it, and close to the river

Booked my room online and reception was a breeze Super friendly staff as wellCons – You must climb a flight of stairs to enter through the front entrance to get to reception There is a side entrance that is a bit more accessible – just further from reception There is minimal parking in the front of the hotel for checking in Paid parking is offered down the street

Dany Stoufer

My wife and I stayed in the Celeste Suite for our anniversary and were very pleased with our stay This room had tall ceilings and windows with black out shades I loved the blue color and the architecture

Breakfast was really good as well! The building is right next to the metro train and I could hear it late at night and early in the morning; however we did have a great stay and we will stay again if we’re in the area I also did not feel like you need to religious to stay here just because it was a convent before

This is a very clean, well run hotel with accommodations in like new conditions Everything was really clean, kept up and the service was outstanding and very friendly and customer focused This will be my hotel of choice when I stay in Minneapolis

The breakfast meal was very quick and had really good choices for a hotel restaurant, buffet and menu The service at breakfast was really friendly cheerful and quick Dinner menu lacks variety and the bar well it is a hotel bar in the city Prices for drinks a little steep Overall a great choice To be clear this is not a five star hotel, but for the type and tier hotel it is, you can’t find better

Location is great That’s the best I can say about this hotel They won’t service your room

Even if you call down in the morning before leaving for the day and they say they will take care of it, they won’t service your room Parking is 22 a day and the garage is full at night so if you get back after 8 or 9 you have to park in a lot nearby and walk I am a lifetime diamond and travel 3 weeks a month, loyal Hilton customer, usually very patient but a number of other things added to my issues with this location There is a HI and Home2 close so will try those next time

The rooms were clean, housekeeping was great But and it might seem petty but their was no continental breakfast or coffee The manager on duty blamed employees not showing up, which in todays society I completely understand

But there needed to be some sort of compensation, we even got charged for an Orange juice and water which sounds petty, but as a Hilton Honors member, you need to do better It’s not our fault you didn’t have employees show up, but when we booked we expected breakfast as part of our deal

I came here from NY to bring a friend to his new home and wanted to treat my fiance and I to a nice hotel because why not, walking in it was incredible! The entire building is breathtaking, the vault style door into the wine cellar, and the elegant spiral staircase, everywhere you look there is something unique! After we took a dip into the one of a kind pool and hot tub we decided to have a bite and a few at The Westin bar, Thomas White was more than a bartender or a host he was busy, but was still keeping up with everyone while maintaining conversation with the guests, It truly was an incredible experience!Thank you so much

The hotel overall is up to Westin standards, however, my room had a few issues The toilet seat was disgusting But not how you might think

It had a rough surface and a ton of permanent stains So they probably cleaned it but you couldn’t tell The shower wand didn’t work which was a bummer The toilet was also clogged I only stayed for one might so didn’t bother complaining They do NOT have room serviceThe customer service seems top notch and the hotel has some nice amenities like a restaurant in the lobby I would probably stay here again but probably complain to management about the room next time

Location is amazing, it’s so close to everything downtown and it’s literally on 7 Corners Our room did have outlet issues which was really annoying There was only one outlet in the bathroom and the plugs would must slide out

There were also X4 sub ports and all 4 of them wouldn’t charge anything Otherwise the beds were comfortable and again location is keyParking is separate and is $17 overnight or $22 through the hotel is you need to go in and outThere is no signage letting you know you can’t get to the hotel from the parking garage elevator This threw us and others for a loop

The physical space is very nice and clean I’m giving a low rating because wifi was difficult to connect to and was not reliable at all Most of the time I had to use my data plan

The front desk didn’t seem to care when I told them about the problem For the expense of staying at this location, I don’t think it unreasonable to expect reliable connectivity and staff that cares about customer service
