Eric

The rooms were comfortable, clean and spacious, with great amenities (fridge, microwave, snacks, tea, etc) Morning breakfast was plentiful And the scenery/decor both inside and out makes it such an interesting place to stay

Pat was such a gracious host and made sure that we had everything we needed She was very accommodating to us and made our stay as smooth as we could have wanted it to be She is so genuine and we learned a lot abut the history of the building – She has a book for sale that she wrote about her experiences running the B&B, which we ended up buying as wellOverall, if you want a central location with great comfort and, most importantly, great people running the show, I highly encourage Ann Arbor Bed & Breakfast We will definitely try to be back in the future

Holden Ranz

This B&B is excellent, eclectic, fun, and very accommodating!! 5 stars doesn’t cut it, the owner went above and beyond make sure we had a great stay I stayed here with my fiancee and friend and thoroughly enjoyed talking with Pat and her other guests and meeting her adorable pup Russ Definitely look forward to staying here again the next time we return to Ann Arbor!

Amanda Williams

This place doesn’t even deserve one start Booked a reservation online 2 days in advance I get sent confirmation on how to obtain keys and when to enter building

No key in mailbox as it stated The woman rented out my loft room that I reserved online days ago Said she didn’t pay attention to the name and gave the room to some other young lady Went to another room and said “well, here is your room It isn’t the loft size, it is smaller but it will do I’ll give it to you for a discount” A discount? It was not even a quarter of the size as the one I booked online, the room that they took their money out of my bank account Did nothing to solve the problem Said they refunded my money but I still don’t see it I didn’t even have the money to book another room because it was booked through 3rd party Woman smelt like alcohol Worst experiance ever

We stayed at the Burnt Toast Inn last fall on a weekend trip to Ann Arbor and had a lovely time The Master Suite was beautiful and the giant soaking tub was perfect for a rainy night in (we sadly didn’t luck out with weather that weekend) Sarah’s hospitality is unmatched and breakfast was always amazing

The Inn is also a convenient walking distance from everything downtown If you’re looking to experience Ann Arbor from a home base with charm, don’t hesitate to book here!

Stephen De Las Heras

We really enjoyed our stay here this summer! The master suite was spacious and had a wonderful feel to it, with many beautiful decor details and a fabulous tub Sarah was a welcoming host and her Black Lab Gus was super friendly We got to meet other interesting guests at breakfast too

The Burnt Toast Inn has a great personal touch—we will be back!

Fran Chadwick

We loved our stay with Sarah and Gus! We felt at home immediately and were super comfortable in our spacious room Breakfast was both relaxed and delicious The location was perfect, in a neighborhood of historic homes close to “happenings” in town

Sarah couldn’t be more personable…can’t imagine going to Ann Arbor without staying and visiting with her and Gus!

Callie S

I was thrilled with my experience at the Graduate Ann Arbor The hotel is so unique and this will be my location anytime I am in town for work It is convenient for local transportation and also just walking around to different restaurants and activities in the area

They staff members who checked me and were polite and efficient and the on-site restaurant, coffee bar, and alcohol bar are all phenomenal The room was clean, spacious and very unique because of all of the small things that they do to stay in theme with the University of Michigan I would highly recommend this hotel to anybody in the area I had colleagues that stayed at the residence Inn, Marriott Courtyard and others and then of their experiences compared to mine

Rita Petteys

I loved my, although short, excellent stay at The Graduate From arrival, all the staff were extremely helpful I was unsure of the parking situation, having not had a lot of time to prepare for the trip

The valet was outstanding in helping me understand the parking options This was Friday, July 29th, and I didn’t catch the young man’s name, but kudos to him for being so helpful and helping our stay start in the right way Kudos to the hotel for having a well-prepared staff! Secondly, the front desk staff was equally excellent Friday night’s check in staff was friendly and efficient And the young man who helped us check out on Saturday was excellent as well He helped us with luggage holding and took care to make sure our items that needed refrigeration were handled and then brought them back to us when we were ready to depart Then the valet on Saturday who retrieved our car – again, perfect we didn’t have any folding currency to tip him, but we had loads of coins and gave him two fistfuls of change To that young man, I apologize that we had to inconvenience you with so much change, but I am hoping that this review brings you and your excellent co-workers some appreciation and additional esteem from the hotel’s management both in Ann Arbor and from the corporate headquarters Customer Service is not a lost art The Graduate Hotel in Ann Arbor has proved that! Way to go!

Sven Tietz

Amazes me that there are negative reviews at all A wonderful hotel in a wonderful location, excellent rooms and decor and lobby Really lovely stay

Nifty design of the table lamps that makes plugs and charging easy – nicely doneOnly criticism I would have is the fitness facilities are sub standard, not enough equipment in a really cramped room, with covid this not a great setupBut you won’t want to exercise during your stay anyway so it doesn’t matter 😉

The pictures online showed a hot tub and relaxing pool This hotel is brand new but the common areas are very dirty You can feel the crumbs on the floor as you walk down the hallway

The pool area (which advertised a hot tub) had 4 chairs There were 10+ kids and countless parents in the pool area The lady at the front desk was very nice when I expressed my concerns She let me know to talk to Marcus to explain my concerns but Marcus values his weekends more than the satisfaction of his guests $200 for a dirty hotel is not worth it for Brighton Michigan

Lindsey Amey

Although the staff tried to be helpful, I got a call 2 days before our trip saying the hotel was over booked and I didn’t have a room I had reservations the next week as well and thankfully they made sure I had a room this time However, a friend of mine who is also staying at this hotel had the same thing happen to her this week

When they arrived at the hotel the staff said that their room is not available so they had to go to the store and get an air mattress in order to accommodate their family in a smaller room As I walked past the front desk I heard them saying the same thing to another family It seems to be a pattern that this hotel gets over booked and then they don’t have enough rooms or the type of room that you paid for Super frustrating and inconvenient I thought the point of making a reservation was to ensure that you had a room to top it off, I was taking my four-year-old daughter down to the pool a few minutes ago and it is closed 🙁 I will not be booking here again, I’ll stick to the Marriott

Lewis Poole

Decent hotel First, unlike what the google description states, note that there is no hot tub at this locationI asked for a quiet room and they put me on the 4th floor

It was indeed quiet, and the shades allow for the room to become nearly pitch black which is greatThe decor in the room was very modern, nice looking roomI have to go with 3 stars simply because the climate control system was not adequate I had it set to the lowest setting for sleeping (66 degrees), but there is no way it got even close to that The room was too warmFor breakfast, the pankcakes are decent, the turkey sausage is atrocious, scrambled eggs mediocre, and biscuits/gray passable This is always the case at any holiday innWhat’s less typical of holiday inn’s — this location did not have any plain bagels (appeared to be only raisin or blueberry, I didn’t try to confirm), the cereal selection had less options for kids than I’ve observed at other holiday inns,Good amount of milk and yogurt They were out of orange juice, that’s a bummerVery friendly staff

We recently hosted a celebration of life here for my mother Vincent and Daisy were so kind and helpful! They made the process so easy for us When we arrived at the agreed upon setup time, all chairs and tables were set up for us so all we had to do was decorate

It is a lovely venue in a quiet, serene neighborhood There was plenty of space for all our guests and everyone had a wonderful time celebrating my mom’s beautiful life! I cannot thank Vincent and Daisy enough for being so accommodating and kind and for offering us such a beautiful space to host such an important, memorable event!

When I visit my boyfriend in the summer, I always insist we stay at this hotel in Novi I’m someone with crazy high expectations for cleanliness and sanitization and so far this hotel always meets my expectations The restaurant has DELICIOUS, high end dining that we love as well as the gym

If I could change one thing it would be to add a pool!

Dr Linda

The hotel is beautiful, the conference rooms and property is clean and inviting and the rooms fabulous The staff was on point all except one!Two months ago myself and a business associate and event chairperson visited your property and was shown around by a very professional gentleman by the name of Jamal He answered our questions and was very nice

He told us the lady who we had to see was out sickWe waited and waited We left our contact information and we heard nothing Over two months we both called multiple times and left messagesMost recently I came two weeks ago and spoke with a nice young lady named Rachel I explained that we were planning several conventions and trying to secure YOUR location because it is centrally located and a beautiful venue She called Sora and said she is not answering She sent a message to her cellWe, Optimist Club, are an international organization with clubs(chapters) all over the globe We along with the hundreds of thousands of us are always looking for places for our events, most recently RenoIt is so disappointing that you have people that don’t bother return calls of reach out to entities attempting to do business with you Of course we have moved on and secured another venue One person has tanked our opinion of your location If this is the way others are being treated it is bad for business If not now later

Kaycee Brunell

My husband and I stayed for my birthday and we were able to check in early and late check out was 2pm which is AMAZING BUT you can hear EVERYTHING, on top of the fact we had 3 people knock at our door 10am, 11am, and then again at 11:30am VERY disappointed with that as we got late check out to sleep in Also a huge this was the TV was a lot nicer then we expected and what was shown in pictures

This is an extremely nice hotel, and the staff is top-notch! Myself and 2 colleagues ended up here as a last-minute schedule change We were tired and hungry Chris was amazing at check in, even going above and beyond to call the restaurant and have them hold a table for us as they were just about done seating guests for the night

We dropped our bags in our rooms, and headed over for a PHENOMENAL dinner Everything was fantastic, made in house, and our server, Dallas, was also exceptional! This could not have made for a better ending to a long and stressful dayThe rooms were very nice, beds comfortable, and showers SOOO relaxing! The musical mirrors are a nice feature, too! As someone who spends about 150 nights a year in (mostly 4-star) hotels, this is among my best experiences! Thank you Weber’s!

Tracy Schmidt

Very accommodating to special requests! Nice rooms Beds are squishy soft like giant marshmallows If you like that kind of thing it’s perfect

If you like a firm bed do not stay here Giving five stars even though I dislike soft beds, because everything else was great and they were quite nice, and the softness of the bed is probably what most people prefer anyway

Kaycee Brunell

This hotel will always be my favorite, I have been visiting since I was very young with my grandparents (when they had a slide into the pool) My husband took me back last year for my birthday and it was so much fun We loved exploring the hotel, looking at all the famous people that have stayed, the restaurant reminds me of the titanic, the retro game room, and so much more

The pool at night on the adult time is just amazing a relaxing We will be going back soon!

From the outside one would think that this is an old apartment complex of two buildings Don’t let that fool you Once inside, it was clean modern hotel with pleasant staff

The room was a small but very efficiently laid out suite complete with a full kitchen I would definitely stay here again It was a great value The only negative is that the sign from Fox Drive is very small and you have to be looking for it

Ron Achtenberg

The Service here was excellent The Property is dated and could use an update Breakfast had plenty of options

We unexpectedly had our 94 year old mother in law with us with a sprained ankle Although our room 108 was marked “handicapped” there was only a bathtub with one grab bar We were told only one room had a walk in shower but it was occupied during our 4 night stay On our second morning Chastity in housekeeping overheard our dilemma Apparently that room was vacated and being cleaned She went to the acting manager and assisted us with getting this room It made our stay safer for mom and us! Shoutout to Chastity for her consideration and friendliness! Front desk and management were also friendly and responded to all our requests!

Mark Elkins

The hotel was clean and in good condition The staff was friendly and helpful The location was okay, but make sure you have a vehicle to get around

However, the wifi was not working the entire time I was there (1 night) Had to call tech support myself, which was unable to help at all Also, found a used cotton swab behind the door in the bathroom, which was a turn off The hot breakfast was weak and consisted of store bought breakfast sandwiches, boiled potatoes (cubed), bagels, yogurt and some applesOverall, it was an okay stay but I wouldn’t make any effort to stay here again

Waldenwoods Resort is the perfect fit for a couple seeking an elegant and romantic lake wedding As a wedding photographer who got married at Waldenwoods, I can’t say enough great things about this incredible venue and their thoughtful staff! I am forever grateful that the event director, Anne, and her team went out of their way to bring out vision to life and create the most successful wedding experience for us They provide exceptional food service and unique ceremony sites, so you can plan your wedding timeline without stress! For your wedding photography, there are so many portrait locations to choose from

All in all, there is no doubt that this is an iconic wedding venue in Southeast Michigan I would highly recommend Waldenwoods to all couples!

I just bought a camper, had a 14 day free pass if we scheduled a tour So I did

Me and my boyfriend drove out there lady at the gate was welcoming and pointed us in the correct direction to get to the main building where they do toursWe arrived over a hour early due to Us being at another campground and leaving that one earlierCampground and lake looked beautiful, I was excited to tour this facilitySo I went in to check in for our tour When I walked into the tour building I immediately got a nasty look from the lady at the front desk when I answered her questions she still continued to look at me with the same dirty look She handed me a sign in sheetAfter filing it out my boyfriend took it back in and her attitude immediately changedWe both agreed that first impression means the most, and I felt unwelcomed from the moment I walked in , so we decided to leave and not continue the tourAs nice of a facility this looks, staff needs to be more welcoming

Andy Knapp

Showed up for tour for 14 day free no obligation camping offer after purchasing RV from a dealer that shall not be named After nearly being harassed with multiple phone calls to schedule tour, I showed up only to be turned away becuase my wife was not present This “requirement” was not made known beforehand

Not sure what kind of scam this place is trying to run but what little I saw driving to the sales office, this place looks like an RV dealer parking lot as the sites are litterally on top of one another Roads in not maintained at all, not sure if that is an indicator of the rest of the amenities since they thing they could offer was reschedule another tour Going to take a firm pass on any place that chases away potential customers before even making a sales pitch A sour ending to bad RV dealer experience Skip this place, Michigan has many beautiful State parks and I presume much cheaper than this place Should have read some reviews beforehand

We were in town for a funeral, so we weren’t going to be using some if the listed amenities That was a good thing, golf course closed for renovation, no mention of that on the website when I was booking the room Lots of construction in process to do an upgrade to the facility

The waterfall garden was very nice and the church/chapel is beautiful Our room was very nice, but to get room temperature below 74 had to set to 69 degrees, then set at 71 when it was almost too cool Temperature in the room then went back up to 74, too warm Obviously there is a problem with the thermostat, didn’t bother to complain because we were really in the room a short timeEveryone at the desk and the steakhouse was friendly and helpful

Olivia Wenzel Photography

Always look forward to photographing weddings here because the venue not only treats their couples/guests great, but also the vendors! The ladies are awesome before the ceremony, they fluff the dress and handle everything so the photographer can focus on capturing the moments The manager in charge during the reception space was so helpful, asking if we, the wedding vendors, needed anything and assisted promptly whenever asked a question They are great at transitioning guests from ceremony, to cocktail hour to reception making it for a great experience! Not to mention, the hotel rooms are great for getting ready photos and the outdoor spaces provide ample location opportunities for photos giving the couple a variety without having to travel!

Elizabeth Quan

I was here to take advantage of the Taste of Plymouth event that The Inn at St John’s hostedI was not a guest of the hotel and I did not dine in the hotel restaurantI gave a positive review because the facility is beautiful and historic and it is very well maintained and there are lovely plantings and water features and things to see and enjoy

If you ever have the opportunity to come for Taste of Plymouth, it’s a great chance to try as much as little as you like of a lot of different restaurants and I was told to come hungry and I went away very full

The complimentary breakfast was also decent, enough options to fill up for a long day

The customer service is unbelievably good, from the front desk to the housekeeping staff to the maintenance staff, they made my family feel comfortable, happy and made it feel like home as much as it could be I’ve traveled all around the world and stayed at many hotels I cannot reiterate how this staff is the best I’ve ever encounteredOn a side note: They we’re beginning construction when we stayed there, the construction team was not courteous or professional, this should not reflect on the hotel though

When we got back to the room on the first it was definitely colder than we’d like it so we turned the heat up before going to bed During the night all 3 of my children woke up crying for to cold When I checked the thermostat the set temp was 72 and the actual temp was 63

When I called the front office the best they could do was have maintenance “check on it in a few hours when they arrive” We check out in a few hours Smh

I keep reading the reviews and see how great the staff was Well, Cody was very helpful I had to speak with management the next day as I was billed $23

00 more than my reservation stated How this person is in Hotel Management? I have no idea Perhaps she was having a bad day, a bad week? She lifted her computer screen up to my level to see what they charged me Now, that being said? Microtel billed my bank 9320 My reservation was for $7700 She would not even attempt to discuss this with me or find the issue Their systems have upgraded recently was the information Cody had given me earlier in the day when I brought that to his attention There had been a $2900 charge for the free night I received from Wyndham using points as a Diamond Member The Manager Joy,’s last words to me? WE could have charged you $10000 more with their new policy WHAT? That is not mentioned on their website or when booking BEWARE, folks,
