As returning guests, I must say this place never disappoints The service is immaculate and everything is very clean and well-serviced The kids enjoyed the pool area the entire time and made some new friends

Enjoy the boardwalk ocean front scenery if you sit outdoors at the cafe Breakfast is delicious and a must-have although pricey!

Loved the Beach Club hotel We stayed in one of he boardwalk-front rooms, and I would recommend! The access to the beach and boardwalk is great The room was clean and spacious, even if a bit dated

The hotel public areas are a bit dated as well, but always clean Parking available on site is nice The staff was very friendly, and housekeeping was good

Stayed here for the first time, this summer 2022 I stayed here twice actually Ocean front room in June then city view room in July

The ladies at the desk were warm and welcoming at check in and the rooms were spacious and comfortable Mattresses were comfortable and big enough for two All maintenance staff was also very friendly and welcoming Loved the cafe for breakfast Location can’t be beat In the past, we’ve always gone to wildwood Came to OC for the first time in 2021, stumbled upon this hotel and decided to stay here in 2022 Highly recommend Try getting ocean front if you stay here It’s not cheap, but definitely worth it if in your budget You pay for what you get

My mom and I stayed here for the Escape the Cape triathlon weekend We rented a Two-Room Ultra Luxury Suite This was my third time in the area, and by far these were the best accommodations I have booked

Staff were tremendously friendly The location was very good; it’s located right along the beach across from a beach entrance point It’s a little far from the main eating and shopping area, but we were able to walk or drive and park quite easily if we ventured out The room was very spacious We fit very comfortably, and I could see how another 1 or 2 people could squeeze into the same room if needed The room was in very good repair and did not smell musty at all, which is no small feat for the Jersey Shore Parking was tight, but I was still able to navigate a minivan without issue Each unit had patio furniture, which was great for sitting outside and draping towels and bathing suits for drying There were housekeeping services offered each day, which is the first time I have encountered such a luxury post-Covid The room rate was very reasonable for high time in the area, and became even more reasonable once we realized how comfortable the space was I highly recommend staying here

Studio LocdRootz

The cleanliness of the hotel fairs well There is a slight smell that stays with the rooms but nothing too overwhelming, I think this problem could be solved with updating the carpets and sewer system

The staff is VERY HELPFUL and NICE as long as you don’t have to do business with the manager who would not accommodate our extended stay after one of the girls at the front desk made an honest mistake and put in the wrong date Please don’t offer me an almost 500$ room as a solution,, not feasible or reasonable at all An earnest apology is not an solution either Sir! 😡

For a hotel, it’s clean, well located, and otherwise fine A run of the mill beach hotel However we decided to stay here knowing it would be too cold to swim in the ocean and this hotel advertised a heated pool on their website

We chose here over cheaper options because of that, but when we got here the pools were not open This wasn’t listed at all on their website At the end of the stay, I politely requested if they would honor a rebate or a credit because they falsely advertised services we paid for and the two folks managing the counter offered baseless excuses and were rude, claiming it’s not the season for the pool, the weather whatever Our entire three day stay was warm and sunny except one evening of rain And there are three hotels surrounding this one with totally open pools I don’t recommend staying here

This resort is absolutely amazing! The room, the view, the food, the location, and the staff are ALL outstanding A serious highlight to this resort is the staff! They are top notch, so helpful, professional, and attentiveWe reserved a corner suite with ocean views, it was fantastic! Spacious, comfortable, and luxurious! The bed was perfect and the shower was large, clean, and very modern

I highly recommend booking a stay at this lovely resort, I wish we could’ve stayed much longer!!

Victoria DelCasino

I booked this hotel for myself and a friend to celebrate her 50th and I Highly recommend it Very clean, updated modern decor, great bedding, and AMAZING views from the oceanfront room The staff was professional, efficient, kind and very welcoming

The front desk manager Patrick Muir went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed and then some The addition of a note and chocolates in the room for my friend was a wonderful extra The cafe downstairs that’s open very early for coffee and muffins was so convenient, and lunch at the Catina that’s also attached was delicious! There’s a whole pool area with views of the beach very cool, and there’s separate beach area for only hotel guests is set up with chairs and umbrellas that was awesome This has now become our go to at the Jersey shore

Janie Schmidt

Great location, great service, good for families This is the second time we have stayed here and really enjoyed ourselves Only a few suggestions: Please replace the balcony furniture, it is very rusted

Also, some of the furniture is very stained in the lobby and the sofa in the rooms I wish guests had free access to the ice machine That would be much more convenient than asking for ice to be delivered It’s a great destination for a shore vacation and we plan on returning!

My son and I did a quick mommy and me getaway and stayed at the Periwinkle- it was lovely! The woman who greeted us at the front desk was so sweet and accommodating We were able to park at the hotel before check -in, change in the lobby bathroom and walked across the street to the beach The pool and courtyard were perfect after a day at the beach

Our room was clean and cool! We will definitely be back for another visit soon!!

I am a budget traveler and I’m always trying to find the best price mixed with the best rated hotel for any trip we take I go back and forth and back and forth between multiple hotels whenever my family is booking a trip and it takes me forever to finally decide I am so glad I decided to book at the Periwinkle Inn

My husband and I had a fantastic stay! As far as Cape May goes it is a very pricey area no matter where you land for your accomodations The Periwinkle met our expectations and we were pleasantly surprised with the amenities The room was clean and had great beds We like that we had a little kitchen area and a table with chairs in the room and then a patio with another set of table and chairs and two loungers to use There was a large green space with lawn games and a fire pit for night time The pool was perfect and the location of our room couldn’t be better The hotel is right across from the beach, you can’t get any closer than that The parking was great and we didn’t have to worry about not finding a spot if we decided to leave at any point The staff was very courteous and they even have one of those little golf carts to take you around for free We’ve stayed at other noisy places in Cape May and we’re not happy At the Periwinkle everyone was quiet and respectful We have bounced around at different places in Cape May but now I’ll just go to the Periwinkle Inn from now on

Carol Glass

We really appreciated how clean and recently renovated the room was, plus the bed was very comfortable and it was great to have a sofa and table/chairs along with a kitchenette Although we didn’t use the pool, it was nice to have outdoor lounge chairs to sit and read (in addition to the balcony), and the grounds were attractive We would definitely consider staying here again!

Loved my room A little expensive but I guess your also paying for the location since it’s right next to the ferry Front desk employees were so kind and helpful

Bar downstairs had amazing drinks Bartender, Scott, was great to talk to while we drank! Had a great time Scotty!!! Thanks so much for the amazing service! Would love to stay here again 😁🙏

Great location View depends on your room location The room was the min one should expect for a 4 star hotel

Nice bed and comfortable pillows Weird layout TV in sitting area would not turn off A/c in room kept slamming on and off and was a poor quality window rattler The front desk staff appeared to be burden by guests Security was lacking Although you’ll need a room key to access floors, this is by passed by guests allowing delivery people to tailgate No cameras on the floors Parking is $35 per night but no security patrolling the lotConvenient to NYC Make sure to get out and take a stroll on the boardwalk

Katie Natuzzi

Booked a hotel room block for our wedding and they were so nice and helpful and accommodating! Joy responded to every email or call Check in was great and they helped us with breakfast reservations too Rooms are definitely a little dated, but the beds we comfy and the staff were eager to help in anyway possible! Great location, right over the bridge to Ocean City Right next to a good restaurant, and across the street from the diner The room we stayed in was a good size, the beds weren’t very comfortable though (but I don’t find many hotel beds comfortable) If you have a room facing the bay, you have a great view

We didn’t use the pool because we only stayed 1 night, but we did walk down to check it out and it was a big area with plenty of lounge chairs facing the water We would definitely stay here again!

Dawn F

Last minute getaway I always thought this was a rundown hotel but stayed here over the weekend with my husband and was pleasantly surprised The bay view was incredible! So very peaceful

Room was clean and front desk staff were very nice Free breakfast includes coffee, tea, muffins and yogurt Our only complaint was the beds were not comfortable at all and the heater was loud and took our room forever to get warm Other than that it was a delightful stay and I would stay here again

I’ve been going to Atlantic City for years but have never heard of Atlantic Palace till last week My stay here was by far the best than other well known hotels The room I stayed in was set up like a mini apartment which won me over

My room contained a mini fridge, stove with 2 burners and a microwave They also provided, dishes, a coffee maker, pots, dish washing soap and the dry rack So many other hotels that I’ve been to either has a microwave but it’s tiny and no stove or the microwave isn’t located in the room but off into a separate room where the vending machines are located The hotel provided extra blankets, sheets and pillows where as other hotels you have to call downstairs for this This hotel was ahead of the game The hotel appears old on the outside but the inside makes up ALOT!! The view was wonderful and I was very comfortableBest stay this far!

Rude staff, 20 floors with three elevators so there is usually a long line to get on the elevator, three ice machines and none of them were working, nice pool with a great view however it’s not heated, no Casino, there was a sign posted that there was no late check out however they were four to five hours late checking me in due to housekeeping staff Great location but I will never stay there again

Amr Suliman

Lets set expectations and start off by saying that this is a 3 star hotel The quality and experience does not rise above this, although for us I think it fell short as well They have 2 studio apartments which are the same price as far as I can tell

They tried to force us into the smaller studio apartment which felt like being cramped in a cell After realizing the photos posted on Expedia didn’t match the room we had to rebel We were able to get the room we were promised but the process was hell

I would give a higher rating, but it was disappointing to arrive and find out that the hotel was under construction, there was construction equipment around the facility that you had to navigate around and through areas that were under active construction The pool was not available until the last day of our stay and honestly it didn’t look clean or safe to swim, we opted out of swimming The gym was not available, as it was under construction

The good points are that it is a beautiful hotel, rooms spacious and comfortable and clean The beach and beach bar was wonderful, they offered chairs and umbrellas, I’m sure once the construction is complete it will definitely be worth the cost of the rooms It was disappointing to pay that price and not have all amenities available for use

Michelle Jackson

Love this hotel Staff was so friendly and the room was clean and comfortable Shower absolutely amazing with the robes and nice little kitchenette

Views from the balcony were breathtaking and the weather couldn’t be more perfect Every morning we visited the coffee shop across the street for nice latte after a nice walk on the beach The place was under construction bit we were able to work around it Tiki bar by the beach was perfect A little pricey but who cares when you’re on vacation Can’t wait to go back Oh and a shout out to the lifeguard Jack! This Kansas girl can’t wait to get those surfing lessons!

Bob Duran

Had a wonderful weekend at this resort The rooms were comfortable and immaculately clean The entire staff from housekeeping to busboys to event managers to front desk went out of their way to be friendly

The restaurant and beach bar hit the spot, too My only big complaint was the $50 PER NIGHT resort fee I felt a little robbed since it is not expected and, in my opinion, is used to lure you in by making the room rate appear cheaper

Always a great place to stay during my trip to the big Apple! The staffs are extremely friendly and helpful Always trying to make sure our needs are met The front desk is always going above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and appreciated

Minus one star for the cleanliness of the rooms (not very consistent), but everything else is great!

Service was awful (or racist) When I arrived I pulled into valet and was told to park across the street in the garage I told the attendant I don’t want my car in a garage its a brand new MB, I would like it valeted

He proceeded to tell me it’s cheaper, which it was not the sign said $50 for the garage and $45 for valet (it was The Fourth of July)I proceed to the front desk to check in and I would like to change the card on file I was asked “if I have enough money on my card” before switching cards how insulting!! I’m pretty sure I wouldn’t be staying “if there wasn’t enough money on my card”My husband and I decide to bike on the Hudson then dine on the patio for lunch where the two host did not greet us but gave the nastiest look at me from my feet up to my head! After being seated my husband asked the gentleman was there an issue and he said “oh my friend wasn’t supposed to be at the host stand so we were just making a joke for him to go back to work” I lost my appetite after the third strike and left the restaurantI only stayed one night to enjoy the fireworks with my husband and endured all this chaos on americas holiday I guess I received the true American experience The only reason I’m giving this hotel 2 stars is because of the cleanliness of the room and the location

Haydynn Fike

I was stopping in to use the living room as I have stayed at some W properties before and I was just looking to get some coffee and do some work They were filming a movie at the restaurant and coffee wasn’t available Joanne was at the front desk, and she offered to get me a cup of coffee and wouldn’t let me pay for it

As someone who also works for Marriott, we can use more like her Thanks Joanna! Can’t wait to stay the night at your property

This used to be one of the best places to stay in Cape May we stayed there for over 20 years the food was awesome the owner was a sweet heart who really cared about her guest experiences Unfortunately she passed away a couple of years ago My rating is for how it was then, Now its under new management

And since we have not been back and do not plan on going back (read further) I cannot give it a fair rating I can only advise based on my past experienceI just looked at the website and was thinking of booking for October of this year our usual time to book there I was utterly shocked at the cost of the rooms I understand they renovated but those prices are simply outrageous With no extras, no breakfast included ,that was one of those things anyone who booked there looked forward too every year Also saw another reviewer from May of this year confirming that things are not like they were over there I for one will be staying clear of the new Inn of Cape MayI will just have to enjoy the memories of what it once was and the many happy years our family had there when my daughter was growing up

This review is about the decor only I haven’t stayed there; I just walked through The decor is not befitting a Victorian inn, nor does it seem cohesive

Here are just a few things I noticed:1) All the rocking chairs that were once on the porch are now on the lawn There is barely any lawn left, just a sea of chairs They’re set up in rows, as if for a game of musical chairs And you cannot see the ocean either, so you’re staring at Beach Ave2) Now, “The Porch” is actually a named lounge area (with many sofas facing AWAY from the ocean) It is set up with tables for two as well If you’re the type who might just want to go read a book on the porch while sitting in a rocking chair, it isn’t set up for that now3) The restaurant is minimalist—to a fault It almost looks unfinished—no plants, no flowers, just bare black and white I prefer the coziness of a Victorian inn (which is the expectation when people go to Cape May)4) The bar itself looks the same, but the chairs are black and white wicker—-which contrasts sharply with the mahogany bar5) The lobby looks very neat and clean The chairs are old, though, and many don’t seem to go together (lack of cohesiveness, as I mentioned)Overall, I think longtime customers of the Inn at Cape May will be disappointed with the current decor

Liz Wilson

This is a beautiful, historic building with plenty of charm, right across the street from the water The hotel restaurant was very good (we tried both their breakfast and dinner), I’d go back just for the food The location is amazing, and the vintage elevator is a must-see as well

But you are primarily trading comfort for style The layout of the room was awkward and made no sense, as do many older hotels However, the big issues I had were the pillows that were paper thin, a very squeaky ceiling fan, and no extra blankets (in late fall) All in all, I didn’t sleep well during my time there I consider it more of a cool experience to do once, rather than any desire to stay there again

We love Cape May, and the last time we were there, we saw Ocean Club Cape May and knew we wanted to stay there on our next visitIt did not disappoint! Our room was very much a standard hotel room – very comfortable and exactly the space we needed (and the VIEW! We loved loved loved the ocean view) What we loved about this hotel, though, were the people

This trip was a big deal for us because it was our first trip away from home with our baby I want to give a shout-out to Torey, who not only eased my mind when I called in advance about a crib setup for our daughter, but talked me through options once we arrived about where I could store her bottles most safely (the mini fridge in the room turned out to work great, but he was so considerate and understanding of what we needed to make sure our baby girl had a great vacation, too)Also, do yourself a favor and order some of the chocolate cake from the hotel restaurant It was such a delicious treat after a long day of exploring the areaOcean Club is definitely worth a stay! Thanks, Ocean Club team, for a great experience!

A War

Penthouse just means top floor don’t let yourself believe it might be fancy There was only one very narrow and aged elevator We had to wait for two separate families to descend from our floor before we were able to fit

I saw another reviewer mention how uncomfortable the beds were and that they woke up with neck pains, and honestly none of the four of us slept very well either we kept waking up to fidget with our pillows and adjust our bodies The private beach had chairs and a single umbrella set up for you but it was so incredibly packed in that you can’t enjoy the sounds of the ocean over all of the conversations around you If you experience sensory overload this is your warning it’s incredibly loud and overlapping and stressful We were charged $720 (plus $100 in taxes for Jersey) so we assumed it might be very nice, for a very narrow room with only two chairs to sit in and when someone sat in a chair you could not walk around them so you ask them to stand or clamber over the bed We couldn’t play the card game we brought because there was no table or open space to gather It was very difficult to maneuver around the room because of the narrow walk space so if you have any accessibility problems or a bigger body I advise you to reconsider Room did not come with a fridge for that price in case you thought to bring creamer for your keurig, and bathroom was even smaller What’s interesting is there wasn’t even a curtain rod to hang your bathing suits or beach towels over, working space was very limited for the price I don’t advise you hanging things over the balcony either due to the ocean breeze so it ended up in a wet pile on the floor We only had maybe 3 outlets in the entire room, in a lamp we couldn’t charge unless the light was on, a floor lamp, and I believe one in the bathroom Distance to the beach was great Staff working at the hotel were very kind and welcoming The room itself was a huge detractor from the experience

Exceeded expectations Incredible staff works diligently to cater to your family Exceptionally clean and updated

Private beach with chair/towel service Honestly, simply perfect Pool feels like you’re at a Caribbean resort Private ample parking Pillows could be better but that’s if I’m searching for a complaint Will definitely be back again and again Highly recommend!!!

I booked 3 rooms, got them on the same floor I wiped everything with my Clorox wipes and was happy to see no dirt or even dust! The bartender was nice, the restaurant was closed off but kitchen was still open, we ordered food and ate by the bar The location was great, restaurants in walking distance and the train to NYC was nearby too which is where we spent most of the days

Beds were super comfy…my toddler and infant slept well and my parents and in laws stated they slept comfortably Overall good experience here and will book again when visiting

Had to book a block of rooms for several directors for a corporate offsite nearby Karen was very nice and accommodating Everyone was very impressed with their rooms

It was much more than they were expecting I liked my waterfront view, the comfy bed, and the amenities They even offered extending our rate to others outside our company who had to meet us in town Karen even followed up to make sure we were happy Service was excellent!

Our stay was mostly pleasant My biggest complaint is that two of the elevators need to be serviced The sensors do not work

For most of our stay we dealt with the doors closing on us as we walked in, but we dealt with it because it bumped either my husband or myself But when our four year old was pushed down into the elevator and onto the floor because the door began to close on her, that was not okay Thankfully I was able to put my arm and leg in to prevent the elevator from completely closing on her feet I reported it to the front desk They were apologetic and said they would have someone come out and service the elevator We checked out that same day, so I’m not sure if it actually happened Our room was okay We didn’t use the sofa bed because it was worn and looked like it needed to be replaced The bathroom wasn’t cleaned properly There was a lot of dust and a used Q-tip on the shelf underneath the sink where our “clean” towels were The shelf clearly had not been wiped in a while Thankfully, I always travel with Lysol wipes and Lysol spray I cleaned that area and we asked for a clean set of towels Would I stay here again, I’m not sure It would depend on if the elevators were actually fixed The other issues were manageable

The pool is beautiful with a brilliant view The weather was especially cooperative the weekend we stayed Love this area of NJ The lounge is a magical step back in time Do treat yourself to a drink there and take in the atmosphere

The staff were very accommodating to our unique needs The rooms themselves had certain useful aspects built in such as a hallway light that did not shine into the sleeping area but provided light at night to go to the bathroom Beds were very comfortable

Pillows quickly went flat but there were nine provided for a king bed and six per double bed

Brittany Anderson

I had my baby shower there a couple weeks ago The staff and Maître d’ Christian were so accommodating and helpful and made sure everything ran perfectly according to the agreed upon schedule If we needed anything they were sure to help

The food and drink (we did the banquet lunch menu and peach Bellini) is amazing there and everyone enjoyed their meals The venue itself is the perfect atmosphere for any event

We stayed here for a week in early July and had such a great experience Location is PERFECT It’s great to leave the busy city and head over to Jersey City and it is just more relaxing

Very nice neighborhood around the hotel with great little restaurants, wine/beer stores, etc Views of Manhattan from the pier can’t be beat, literally right as you step out of the front door Very easy trip to WTC from the PATH station across the little public square Staff were nice and very accommodating We were a day late because of 3 canceled flights and they still saved our room for us Check in was a little confusing as you have to go to the top floor rather than checking in at the lobby downstairs but there is always someone downstairs to assist I will definitely be staying here of we’re ever in the area again

Neasa Daly

Overall our 1 week stay in this hotel was satisfactory The staff were very accommodating and friendly throughout the full week, especially when we requested to move rooms after our first sleepless night due to the light train / tram outside that runs loudly every 4 minutes so be vary of this if you’re a light sleeper The breakfast food was okay, we’re not fussy eaters so we were happy enough with the selection, but I would question the use of paper plates and plastic cutlery that cannot cut bacon or butter toast – perhaps it’s covid regulation, but it seems very wasteful nonetheless

The views are spectacular and the hotel is within near walking distance of the Path Station to NY and the ferry to Liberty Park Overall we were happy with our stay, there were a few cons here and there but nothing you wouldn’t get in most hotels around the world

Jack R.

Great location and views of NYC Steps away from PATH & Light Rail stations Friendly staff

Reservations were recommended for Terrace Lounge Rooftop was closed for an event It was our first time here We will stay again Parking garages across street and area Near Newport Center mall Plenty of dining spots Clean rooms, fridge & microwave Very nice walk in shower Easy check in & checkout Breakfast offered for a quick bite

Great location, Friendly, Clean, and FunVery close to the beach, bike rentals right outside, delicious coffee and bagel shop downstairs, a fun arcade across the street We ate dinner at Lucky Bones and that was amazing! We did the Ghost Trolley Tour and it was a lot of funYou are 3 minutes from the Washington shopping area and that offers cute shops and some great food!

I almost want to write two reviews on this location One for lovers of these historic buildings, and one for everyone else If this isn’t something you love, I don’t recommend it at all, and if it is, you can probably do better

I pack light when I vacation anyway, so lacking an elevator doesn’t bother me and goes with the classic charm Location is fantastic Parking is included Room has a mini fridge, and a large Roku tv, but no safe The reasons I wouldn’t let my friends or family stay here are the small humid rooms with extremely loud and weak window air conditioners that will keep you up at night and force you to raise your voice to have a conversation The bathroom window was broken and repaired with packing tape It is also covered by a sheer curtain to compromise your privacy You can see the taped crack through the curtain in my photo The shower is a tiny plastic standing unit with a moldy curtain that is very easy to remedy, yet wasn’t No ceiling fan They also “sealed” the window AC with packing tape which was peeling If you want a bottle of water or soda, you’ll have to leave the building, but they do have an ice machine near the restaurant downstairs This is not a B&B, but you can get breakfast from one of the businesses downstairs Mattress is very firm, similar to sleeping on the beach sand There’s very little other furniture in the room, and just one chair Finally, the toilet flush is extremely weak, but they leave you a plunger in the room If this was a cheap room, I could overlook some of these issues They need to increase the value, the quality, or the comfort to earn another star or two

Absolutely a fantastic place to stay while in NJ with a remarkable view that’s quite unique!Front desk staff is very nice and helpful During check in I received a complimentary upgrade to a deluxe skyline view! The hotel’s got all the amenities you’d want or need if here for business or personal travel View, lively bar scene, modern decors, fitness center, business center and very helpful staff

The bar had some popping music on Friday which was very cool! In fact this place reminds me of a W hotel except even more hip! Thanks guys for a wonderful stay so far!

Toni-Ann Mason

This is probably the best hotel I’ve stayed in NYC The staff was amazing and so helpful and friendly I stayed here for my anniversary and we enjoyed our stay that we didn’t want to go back to real life

The location was perfect the ferry is right outside There was absolutely nothing to complain about it was perfect and pet friendly The views were breathtaking

Melinda Rojas

I wouldn’t bother with this hotel Front desk needs better hospitality skills, the front desk drank on the job while checking us in! We could not get a good night sleep because of how loud the music was, room was okay, pretty clean There is no snacks or drinks in the fridge just coffee

It is very hard to get in touch with reception, due to the fact they walk away from the desk and do who knows what, but when we first arrived we saw him at the bar rushing over to the desk to check us In All in all not worth it, I would go somewhere that you can get better service for your money
