First off this was just my experience, and I hope not everyone’s, likely just my room for most of this, not able to change rooms either First off toliet was clogged when I entered the room, got a plunger It worked, blew my nose with the maybe 1/4 ply toliet paper and flushed, clogged again

Mentioned it to front desk and nothing was done over the week I stayed there Sink leaked and was also clogged while I was there, also nothing done about it Breakfast was a hot breakfast but was very lacking Plastic wear was not advailible due to their truck not getting there yet So eating eggs with a spoon or knife when advailible was a bit of a treat Cereal was stale, eggs were dry and crusty or soaking in about an inch of water depending on the day, sausage wasnt but maybe luke warm, ham was dry, biscuits were so dry that the gravy (if they had it that day) didnt even make them moist Outside doors are locked (even with a key card) in mornings and nights so you must enter via the front door when checking out or checking in late As a diamond member with choice and spending almost 100 days over the last year in choice hotels this has been my worst experience with the chain I will be spending 6 weeks in Warsaw and will be changing hotels for the remaining time there to a different chain If they did a remodel it might help some The front foyer looks nice and inviting, but everything from there on was ROUGH

Fat Kid

The place is fantastic! Nice moderately sized family oriented campground

very cozy with a great atmosphere! The owners are very personable and willing to help with any needs/ issues that may arise The little camp store is well stocked with anything one may need (or have forgotten) for their trip and the prices are reasonable Overall, the campground is very pleasant and definitely worth a visit!

Showed the lady at the desk my reservation when we arrived She looked at me and said well that doesn’t help me much I said it’s our reservation that you sent us online

She gave me a nasty look then goes oh ok Hand is a card and explained how to get in and out The store where you register is very dark and workers inside are not friendly Our site was nice and clean There was no mini golf like advertised There is maybe one small boat that you could rent unlike advertised Kids did get to swim in the pool for the first day then the pool was closed all day the next Office was suppose to be closed for an hour our second day and it was closed almost all day so could not talk to anyone that worked there Slash pad is only on if it’s 85 degrees or more Pool and splash pad both close early at 8 They do have a park for the kids but many things were broke Very small beach area that got over crowded fast The lady that camped year round two trailers down was not friendly and came out yelling about our van being where she didn’t want it Saying the owners don’t want people parking there No sign posted about it and they posted signs about everything everywhere Just all together not a kid friendly place Pretty disappointed when we wanted to spend a nice few days with your family before school starts back up

My parents have been seasonal campers at HLC for the past three years Our entire family LOVES it there We miss it during the off season

It is extremely family/kid friendly My kids always have a blast and feel safe and welcome They ride their bikes, swim in the pool or lake, play with groups of other children at the playground, get ice cream from the shop It is exactly what a joyful childhood should look likeI think HLC has a profound way of making community among anyone who comes They have smiles on their faces and a loving positive attitude We drive over an hour to be there because we love it so much The people are truly wonderful I recommend it to everyone I know who wants to camp

Are you kidding…no electrical outlets by the bed? This place is brand new very clean very nice people feels great until I go to plug in my chargers for my watch and phone Who does it have outlets to charge electrical devices on the nightstands Most of us use our phones as alarm clocks now

As you can see in the pictures below, there is one plug under the floating nightstand Hard to get to The designers/architects/management who decided to save a few bucks and not put electrical outlets here need to rethink this

Warsaw’s not known for having nice hotels However two or three newer hotels have opened up and this is one of them I was very pleasantly surprised at how clean the place was, but then it is kind of new

The bed is a single platform and not very high, but it was high enough The room stayed as cool as I could get it or wanted it to be when it was 100° outside All right I really like the bathroom design Very large shower with thick glass sliding doors The shower had strong pressure I didn’t even get water on the floor when I stepped out of the shower The door stays closed They use a Keurig type coffee system along with a microwave and small refrigerator I wish they would have had a small light inside of the compartment where the Keurig is because it’s naturally dark inside the compartment and it’s hard to see, even with the light on in the hallway I REALLY liked the window covering There’s an ugly parking lot out the back of the hotel, but each room, no matter where you are, had this type of covering It looked like a picture and you could partially see through it outside I’m sure it blocks the sunshine coming in and probably makes it difficult for someone to see inside the room as well Very nice touch! Breakfast was okay I like the fact that they had a strong coffee brew along with the standard coffee Although, I’m not sure they really know a strong coffee is? They always had some type of scrambled egg or small omelet with cheese inside of it They sometimes served bacon and sausage, along with biscuits and gravy So, it really wasn’t that bad I did appreciate them having a cold bar where one could get instant oatmeal and a few little extras, along with toast and rolls if one wanted them I did not use the pool while I was there, even though I was there for 7 days They did not clean the room everyday and sometimes it was 3 to 4 days before they would clean my room, which I really didn’t mind However, if there’s more than one person in that room, you might need to ask them to clean it more often The staff was nice and it seemed to be important to be professional to their consumers All in all, this will be my place to go to each time I visit Warsaw, Indiana

Sharon Howard

Softball tournament in town, kids up all night slamming doors, running halls and yelling Parents outside partying and not watching their brats Front desk not allowed to say anything to children they said

Room smelled like a dog had been in there And who in their right mind puts outlets under the night stand Had to get down on knees to plug in CPAP machine, so stupid Won’t be back to this hotel

Kelly and Tony were superb hosts! My husband and I stayed two nights It was a wonderful getaway! So relaxing Our breakfast both mornings was excellent

I believe we had a ham cups and scotch eggs The scenery is just beautiful We highly recommend the boat ride with Tony I just can’t say anything bad about this place! We look forward to going back very soon! Thank you so much for a wonderful birthday weekend!

My wife and I stayed at The Blue Heron Guest House back in August, for 3 days and 2 nights We were warmly greeted and from that moment on we felt spoiled Tony and Kelly are gracious hosts that left no detail out

We took advantage of the boat ride to dinner our first night and really enjoyed the tour around the lake after our beautiful night out Sitting on the end of the dock, sipping a glass of wine, and enjoying the sunset and the fish jumping was a perfect way to end our time away We would “highly” recommend The Blue Heron Guest House to any and all who are looking to get-away, relax, and recoup Thank you Tony and Kelly – we look forward to our next visit

william dale

Tony and Kelly are great hosts Their home and the rooms are spectacular! We stayed in the room that included a hot tub on the deck and was NOT disappointed! Great views of the lake and a quiet little getaway! The food was phenomenal and no detail was left out We enjoyed the Winona Lake area with its shops, stand-up paddle boarding, kayaks and hiking trails! If you’re in the area, hit up Tony and Kelly…you won’t be disappointed!

My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful stay at the Chestnut House Cottage! Machelle was warm, friendly, and inviting The cottage was impeccably clean and furnished The overall experience was totally 5 star, with just the right balance of allowing us privacy while being very cordial and friendly at the same time

I would highly recommend this B&B to anyone looking for a quality relaxing experience in a friendly environment Dinner is available on the lake within walking distance Bike trails and shops are also very nearby

Room was beautiful and clean, staff was extremely accommodating, and food was absolutely delicious The interior has been tastfully updated without losing its historic roots Baked oatmeal, french toast, fresh fruit toppings, made to order omelets, juice, coffee, milk, and selection of cereals and yogurts were a great end to our stay, leaving with full bellies and hearts!!

Marge Walsworth

This B&B is an excellent place to stay Our hostess was very accommodating when we asked if we could check in earlier than the stated time She met us at our car and helped carry our luggage in

We were a little nervous about eating with people we didn’t know, but Michelle made everything go smoothly She made a delicious breakfast and offered to make us whatever we would like to eat if we wanted something different than she had already prepared I would definitely stay here again and again! Thank you Michelle for a great B&B experience!

We had the chance to stay here because my husband took an art class in Warsaw We were amazed at the beauty of the grounds Just gorgeous & so peaceful! And a big plus for us was the pet friendliness of the hotel

Our room, building & grounds are immaculately clean & cared for Loved the fresh made-to-order breakfasts too! We had a nice big room with a jacuzzi & king size bed The beds were nice & soft …not lumpy And the shower was awesome too! These are all points that mean something to us as we get older & do more traveling Will definitely be back to this property Thank you so much for the wonderful hospitality

Eric Guptill

All of the staff was fantastic, They made our stay enjoyable at this quaint Inn Nice breakfast and amenities

Had massages while we were here that were part of our package and we’re great The only exception to being a an overall great experience was our 3 interactions with the GM who unfortunately does not understand customer service in the hospitality business 3 interactions with her and all of them resulted in interested, curt and bordering on rude responses It is great that the rest of the staff in every area were fantastic and went above and beyond We will return!

Stayed recently at the Wyndham Garden Motel in Warsaw, IN We had a very nice stay The room was excellently clean and comfortable

The staff was nice and helpful We also had the opportunity to see the staff go out of their way to help a senior age woman who had a special need They went above and beyond to help her and get her the room she needed Service like that is hard to find When we’re back in Warsaw this is where we’ll look to stay

Deborah Bodnar

Although the hotel may not look like much on the outside and the carpet definitely is old But the rooms are very very clean! The employees are all very friendly and helpful Deep and Victor were enthusiastic very kind and caring and very helpful

There is an inside pool and an outside pool The inside pool is absolutely gorgeous with a game room hot tub workout facilities etc Most of the rooms have small patios or balconies Highly recommend!

Abby Williams

Rough stay from start to finish Specifically booked 2 adjoining rooms and informed they were gone With some pushing, 2 rooms adjoining appeared open

Beds are super hard Like sleeping on the floor with a light blanket over Worse than camping Someone was smoking next 2 us on 2 different occasions making our room and us reek of smoke And triggering asthma in 2 of our children Pool is great except the hot tub broke so it was cold the 2nd half of the stay Oh and no eating or drinking on the pool deck No where inside the hotel to sit and eat with your family and we were harshly scolded for having snacks and drinks on the deck while monitoring our swimming children No breakfast included And the best part- half of the hotel was without hot water and then no water at all for over 13 hours with no discounts given or really any apologies
