Great Hotel! Amazing breakfast! On Wednesdays, the owner of this hotel shows his appreciation to guests by having free deli sandwiches, chips and cookies for dinner Which I thought was a very nice gesture A lot of guests during the week are workers, so it was nice to help get through the middle of the week

I only gave 4 stars for location because the surrounding neighbors have over grown grass

Anthony Hibbitts

Was a bit leary of making a reservation when I read all the reviews but we were headed there for my sons tournament I will say that if you are looking for that romantic get away this is not it but if you are looking for a clean bed, nice staff and a hot breakfast for a good price this is the place for you The staff was very nice

Our room was clean (1st Floor) and looked recently remodeled and painted When we came out for breakfast I had low expectations due to reviews but was impressed with what they had put out Hot omelets, sausage among all the usual items I would recommend this place especially if your there for any of the local tournaments Also the indoor pool was open and clean

Great place to stay if you’re working in the area If you’re vacationing in Canton, MI, why would you do such a thing?Rooms are consistently clean and the staff are friendly and helpful Breakfast is the standard Holiday Inn breakfast which is good enough, although it’s hit or miss depending on who’s working in the kitchen that day

Gym is small and rusty, but functional Pool is clean and relativity well maintainedPrices are decent, at least compared to other places in the area

Lovely grand hotel Room was much larger than expected Loved the historical village in the back

Staff was very kind and welcoming, even when my food delivery arrived to the hotel a few minutes before I did My only concern was the air conditioning I know it is a historic building, so I’m sure there are constraints but I had my room to the lowest available temperature and it was still toasty Wouldn’t stop me from staying again though

Don’t forget to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏᴄᴏm when booking a stay They compare hundreds of hotel sites and typically will have rooms much cheaper compared to others! Thank me later on! This hotel is one of the best in this area

I have been coming here for a very long time If you decide to stay here you definitely won’t be disappointedHotel was wonderful it’s older but has been maintained wonderfully!! I cant say enough about the staff and how great they were! One in particular was Lori in the bar, she was wonderful and made our entire group feel so special!! I wish I could giver her 5 stars herself!!!

Lia Sharon

Beautiful as a wedding venue, but as a hotel it’s a little dumpy for the price The hotel interior is gorgeous and historic, but the bedrooms themselves really need some updating It was a hot holiday weekend when I stayed for a wedding and our air conditioning was not working

Maintenance came in and attempted to fix it but could not and we were offered fans I appreciate the hotel staff trying to help but for this to happen for how much I paid is unacceptable Even at a Holiday Inn for half the price this would not have happened The fact that this is an old historic building is not really an excuse

She is super nice and sweet! Very hardworking and caring, kind and professional! Always making sure I have enough to eat and even wrapped sandwiches to go for me not to leave hungryAlso, the first day when I checked in Rita at the front desk made me feel very welcomed and I felt right away part of a very kind familyThe bedroom was big, clean, with comfortable bed and pillows Very convenient to have a cute kitchenetteBreakfast is very generous in varieties and very tasty Coffee is tasty and available all day along with tea and hot chocolate Will most definitely stay there again

Awesome place to stay Staff is so friendly and helpful Clean rooms, lobby, gym area, breakfast area

Loved the kitchen with a full size refrigerator and everything you need I brought a electric fry pan and we had all of our meals in the room Saved us a lot on eating out Was worth every penny Will seek out Home2 locations for further stays

Jewel Beji

I really enjoyed the front desk staff, breakfast, my room and the amenities! However, being on night shift, my colleagues and I had a big issue with housekeeping banging the doors in the mornings when they’re cleaning and going in and out of the rooms using a door stopper (not all of them do that though) And on my day off, I was waiting for housekeeping to do my room and one of them reported that I refused cleaning when I didn’t even have a DND sign on my door or anything The rest of features of the hotel really saved my rating and outlook

Overall, thank you all for being so welcoming to our team and going above and beyond for us!

I stayed here since there were a lot of rooms reserved for a weekend wedding Check in was at 3PM and one of our rooms wasn’t ready until 3:40PM We had been trying to get early checking since 2PM, so I have no idea why it took 40 minutes beyond check in time

If that had been our only room, we would’ve only had 20 minutes to get readyIn one of the rooms the toilet had and extremely weak flush, and you had to hold the handle down for a long time just to get it to do anythingFor the price of the room, and the fact that it’s a Hilton, you’d think breakfast would be included, but no, it was not You could pay $8 or $15 a person depending on what you wanted, and I don’t think I’ve ever been to a hotel breakfast that was worth $8, let alone $15 I could go to a Holiday Inn for $20 less a night, and get a good, included breakfastThe only reason I didn’t give this a 1 star is because the hotel staff were all great Between dealing with all the people due to multiple weddings that day, and dealing with all the drunk people at 1AM, they did a great job

The hotel is decent enough at $146 plus tax a night but probably not more than that Originally booked one night but couldn’t get through the plymouth phone number to speak a live operator We wanted to add a night

It kept cutting the call off saying international calls were not allowed even though I phoned from Cleveland After trying three times, I ended having to speak to an agent from the Philippines with a thick accent that I had trouble understanding and then it took her about 20 minutes to add one night When she gave me a total it was $645 for the two nights Whaaaaat? You’ve gotta be kidding me Yep That’s not the price I booked at So I had to cancel the reservation and start all over again So I’m already not happy at this point I booked online but never on a travel siteSo the room is decent and it has all the amenities, is right off M14 and quiet and comfortable Free breakfast The floors were sticky in the bathroom and the bed looked like a 3rd grader made it Not bad but not great It’s nicely decorated and has plenty of features

Not sure why I see so many reviews saying the rooms aren’t clean, maybe the hotel has improved over the years? I travel for work and stay at many airport hotels in the area and this is my favorite when I want to spend a little extra money on one Every time I’ve stayed the rooms feel bright, clean, comfy, and visually appealing The rooms feel new

The front desk staff 9 times out of 10 are so kind!! There’s an airport shuttle, pool, coin operated laundry, and if you are a Hilton honors member you can use your points to get a free breakfast which is not just a grab and go breakfast but sit down with a waiter/waitress They make omelettes etc it’s also walking distance from the few sit down restaurants that are actually in the area (Beirut, Leonardo’s, etc) I really enjoy staying here!

S. Scott

Every single employee I dealt with was friendly and helpful Rooms are very nicely done and immaculate upon arrival Restaurant food is good and prices are relatively decent despite being so close to the airport

Walking distance to a Bobs big boy, McDonald’s and a couple other restaurants Free hotel shuttle to airport Shuttle drivers are great

Sasha Lopez

The staff was really nice, there’s construction going on in front but they set up a back entrance That’s all fine What wasn’t fine was the cleanliness of my room

To start when I went to lay down I noticed my pillows had blood on them, not like a stain that didn’t come out, but it was thick blood clot looking Then I went to take a shower and there was someone else’s hair in thereThey brought me new pillows, but house keeping didn’t even bother to put the pillow cases on, just tossed pillows and cases on my bed while I was out to dinner

From the day we arrived, the staff was excellent We were in for a funeral and were treated very well The suite was perfect for our needs and so comfortable

I went down for tea after I’d missed breakfast and the GM was so sweet! She gave me food to carry up to my son and aunt who’d slept in I also made a friend who liked glasses like I did All in all I’d say everyone was top notch! I’d stay here again anytime! Thanks again to all the staff who were so good to us!

Shannon Fischer

The hotel is pretty modern and very clean! Our suite was fully equipped with everything we needed for our stay The young lady at the front desk was very friendly and helpful in giving us information and suggestions for dinner The website stated that both the pool and spa were out of commission, but both were in working order and clean

We didn’t use the laundry room, however, it was also clean and had newer machines The outdoor patio was very pleasant to sit and enjoy the evening There are grills on the patio for guests to use to prepare dinner We were on a short one night stay, so we went out, but would definitely take advantage of the many amenities if we were staying longer

His Gaze, Inc.

Service was amazing Rooms can and should be cleaner Beds were quite comfortable

Location would be perfect, except for the fact that it is right next door to the Holiday Inn It is so close to the other hotel that tge two hotels look connected, but they are not at all connected Extremely weird Both hotels share the same parking lot

You can’t beat the location for an early flight Valet was incredibly helpful when we arrived, and they were patient helping us get all our luggage together with two young kids Room was very clean, beds were comfortable, and if we had neighbors, we didn’t hear them

My only complaint was a failure to execute on helping with luggage the morning of our fight–no one arrived despite arranging for help the night before, and it ended up being a very long haul carrying all our luggage Would stay again, but probably would try to snag a cart the night brevity just try be safe

Jessica Bernhardt

Kudos to the Westin for the exceptional service last night and this morning From Julio at valet who went above and beyond to help us with our car despite me goofing up the prepaid valet package, to the bellhops lugging all of our golf clubs up and down, AND for them leading the way to the correct Delta desk for golf clubs AND staying and helping with all of our bags at Delta check-in At a time where it seems all customer service is gone, they brought back some hope

For the stay and convenience if you’re flying Delta, it is well worth it to stay here!

My Name

Location convenience can’t be beat Staff was nice and room was clean For the price, I expected a bigger/nicer room (the bathroom was so tiny, the door blocked the shower)

Big disappointment in that the in-room refrigerators are not useful (basically just a drink cooler; there’s even a label saying they are not okay for perishable food) Even the cheapest hotels nowadays have a mini fridge, so this was quite a surprise to me and is a real issue for people traveling with specific dietary needs or small children who need milk

I really like the hotel It is an atrium style hotel inside The pool is indoors so it can be very loud if there’s a lot of people at the pool

But if you have a room that’s towards the corner then you should be fine I love the ambience and the decor of the hotel The staff are very nice as wellThere is a full bar although I have not visited it yet Also, they do serve breakfast for a cost and I believe that there’s a restaurant I have not been to either one of those as well But I do recommend the hotel The location is great It is right next to the airport and they do have the airport shuttle There are also good restaurants next door as well

Tom Nonnenmacher

Check in was fast and easy The room size is wonderful Heat and air work well

After that all down hillFirst the room stinks of stale cigarettes GrossThen very little hot water Towels and toiletries are minimal , way below what you would expectDrinks at the bar weak and $12 each for a vodka and tonic, seriously!!!!!Coffee maker doesn’t workFor the price they charge here they should be embarrassed I’ve stayed at many Sheraton hotels over the years and this is by far the worst I’ve experienced…Tom Nonnenmacher

Rene Crossman

Wonderful! Friendly service by employees It was cheaper to park our car there than at the airport We didn’t have to stay there either

Drove up in the morning, registered car then took their shuttle to the airport Take a picture of the card with the phone number to call to find out about getting shuttle to come back as they recommended Sure enough we couldn’t find that card when we returned! Shuttle driver was helpful and friendly too

We were in town for a funeral, so we weren’t going to be using some if the listed amenities That was a good thing, golf course closed for renovation, no mention of that on the website when I was booking the room Lots of construction in process to do an upgrade to the facility

The waterfall garden was very nice and the church/chapel is beautiful Our room was very nice, but to get room temperature below 74 had to set to 69 degrees, then set at 71 when it was almost too cool Temperature in the room then went back up to 74, too warm Obviously there is a problem with the thermostat, didn’t bother to complain because we were really in the room a short timeEveryone at the desk and the steakhouse was friendly and helpful

Olivia Wenzel Photography

Always look forward to photographing weddings here because the venue not only treats their couples/guests great, but also the vendors! The ladies are awesome before the ceremony, they fluff the dress and handle everything so the photographer can focus on capturing the moments The manager in charge during the reception space was so helpful, asking if we, the wedding vendors, needed anything and assisted promptly whenever asked a question They are great at transitioning guests from ceremony, to cocktail hour to reception making it for a great experience! Not to mention, the hotel rooms are great for getting ready photos and the outdoor spaces provide ample location opportunities for photos giving the couple a variety without having to travel!

Elizabeth Quan

I was here to take advantage of the Taste of Plymouth event that The Inn at St John’s hostedI was not a guest of the hotel and I did not dine in the hotel restaurantI gave a positive review because the facility is beautiful and historic and it is very well maintained and there are lovely plantings and water features and things to see and enjoy

If you ever have the opportunity to come for Taste of Plymouth, it’s a great chance to try as much as little as you like of a lot of different restaurants and I was told to come hungry and I went away very full

I have stayed in worse places, but this was the worst Marriott property I have every stayed atWe paid way to much for what we received I would not pay more than $100 a night where I paid more than twice that

I would not recommend this place to a friend The smell of weed was strong, inside the hallways and outside the buildings Neighbor had two dogs that barked The room was not clean Feet were sticking to the floor, upholstery was ripped, carpet and beds were stained The hotel is located very close to run down and abandoned buildings and a good amount of sirens which did not make us feel safe Me, wife and kids did not get much sleep that night The positives: The people we interacted with were polite and nice We checked for bugs and did not find any actively crawling around and my car was still there in the morning Marriott customer service said there was nothing they could do to help us with our situation which was disappointing

Sharise Talley

I truly enjoyed my stay inside the room but there was a Marijuana smell in the hallwayHowever, my room was clean but I did have to ask for different sheets they looked dusty not dirtyIt is a mini stove in the room so I did cook

Overall it was a 3 Location was ideal for traffic

TD B

The good: we had a 2 bdrm suite (which are rare)! Full kitchen (fridge, stove, coffee maker dishwasher and microwave) living area, separate sink area from shower and hot breakfast with variety including meat and eggs Off the highway

Room was clean, bed comfortable Great service Priced well! The bad: location is off highway but surrounding neighborhood is sketchy (not the place to go jogging) Gas stations close-by are a def no (off-brand, panhandling, etc)The ugly: Bring your own food/snacks The Walmart nearby is disgusting Pool is small and outside Its was the fourth weekend so the pool crowd was a bit rowdy and crowded Ppl smoke outside and near the pool (fyi Cannabis is legal)Overall a good stay for 2 days to visit family

Both our rooms stunk One was missing a toilet paper holder The lighting is dismal and inadequate; 2 lights didn’t even work

The hallways were sweaty HOT, like they can’t afford AC, and in the rooms the units seemed to be restricted The tub drain was plugged, so we stood in deep, cloudy water while we showered Swimming pool looked fine, but was CLOSED Not cool Hilton should offer a discount when a pool is advertised but unavailable No microwave oven for use anywhere What is the point of having a clock in your room when the time is wrong, and it can’t be corrected? We had to ask for towels and toilet paper at the front desk The TP was unwrapped = unsanitary It’s like they bought an economy pack and handed TP rolls out, one at a time Icky and humiliating On the bright side, they had a diligent and polite breakfast bar attendant! Breakfast was very good, and the space was tidy and well-managed Too bad she’s not the hotel manager!

My daughter originally booked us an airbnb but I told her to find a place with an indoor pool so that the grandbabies could swim with us Once we checked in we were told that the pool is out of service Had to go down stairs to get clean towels once we requested new towels trash was never picked up

And only one roll of toilet paper had to find house keeping once we ran out It is convenient to my daughter but unfortunately the reason we chose this was becuase of the pool and for the whole 5 days no pool But now the breakfast was good

The good? The price, the location in relation to the offsite parking & the ladies at the front desk, at 11 PM, Sunday night SO welcomingThe not so good? The hotel is in rough shape

It’s obviously seen a LOT of use, and it shows It’s not very clean Elevators & public spaces, in particular The bedding was rough and uncomfortable The customer service on Monday morning was awful No one at the front desk & no breakfast out, between 6:30-7 While I’m certain this was a staffing issueit’s an airport hotel Folks are on schedules That shouldn’t happen Bottom line, there are so many, FAR better options, in the exact same corridor

Lee Allen

This hotel was not up to Marriott standards When we arrived at 3am no one was at the front desk to let us in After calling several times and knocking at the door for 15 minutes someone finally came to let us in, with an attitude and no apology, just “I can’t sit at the desk all night I have other things to do”

When she checked us in I asked about a late check out, and she told me she could do 2pm We were called by the front desk at noon to tell us we needed to check out According to the caller no one gave us a late check out The only saving factor was the breakfast attendant who got me some food even though it was after 9:30am When we checked out, I again told the front desk that I had to wait 15 minutes to get in and that I was given a late check out She told me I needed to be more patient I asked to speak to a manager and she told me to take the manager’s card and call her Monday since she wasn’t going to disturb her She also said that she was not going to talk to me anymore

Liv Grimaldi

I love the Marriott’s but the management and staff here should not be permitted to deal with any customer issues They lost my car key back in June, yes my car key which my workfriend came to pick up and they couldn’t find

when I came to get my car they had me sitting in the lobby for 6 hours refusing to pay for a replacements when lock smith got hereI can’t believe that they treated me this way after they lost the car key!!! Parking costs were 800 US dollars cause they lost the key and we couldn’t collect the car The manager could have easily paid the locksmith and refused and told the staff not to pay for the replacement costs 7 hours in the lobby and still not fixed this is CRAZY

Would give 4 or 5 stars if it were not for a couple things1) I stood in the lobby for a good 5 minutes before being able to check in as no one was at the front desk and there was no bell to ring to get an employee’s attention2) We had a room right next to a maintenance room

4x during our stay, twice in the middle of the night, waking us up, this awful noise that sounded like a hump back whale calling it’s mate alarmed us and continued for at least a minute At checkout, the employee did apologize, but didn’t seem to care that we were disturbed If you get room 218, ask for another room3) Bring your own pillow, which I normally do, but forgot You need like 6 pillows to give you any sort of support Beds were very firm We all woke up with sore backs (me, my husband, and 11yo)Otherwise, the hotel was in a nice area Secluded near some woods Updated and appealing in appearance

I’m always looking for Hotels going “Green” But don’t short change customer comforts Room was clean

Staff was friendly Bathroom had no heat/AC, no wastebasket We, just a couple, were given 2 washcloths, 2 hand towels & 2 towels Shower& each of you use your washcloth next morning you’d like to wash your face but all you have is a dirty washcloth! Dry towels & reuse them but not with a wash cloth Great staff!

The staff was helpful and friendly The lobby area was cleanThe rooms were dirty and moldy

The door of our room didn’t close fully The staff literally took a screwdriver and shoved in the doorway to readjust the hinge Said that this was a common issue in the 40 year old building The mold in the bathroom was awful — even on the ceiling above the toilet There were stains on the floor and cobwebs behind the desk Even the light on the wall was askew, as there was no screw holding on the shade The only thing keeping me from marking this a 1 is the staff They were very good

The housekeeping staff were very nice The front desk staff were okay The maintenance was very rude

We asked about the pool being cold, and he was really rude about it 79 degrees is cold for an indoor pool!! They didn’t care at all Rooms we’re pretty clean Rooms we’re small and didn’t have much, didn’t like that Hotel breakfast is hot and included, it’s decent Overall, it was a decent experience

Hotel booked through a third party days in advance Fully paid in advance with the understanding of a late arrival Upon arriving, we were told there was no guarantee of a room and that our room was given away

We were left scrambling for a place to stay, after midnight, with a flight scheduled at 10am Be careful when booking here You may not have a place to stay

Was pleasantly surprised with this hotel Spacious rooms, fairly clean, and a deal for airport parking through Qwik ParkOur room had a strange humming noise, like a water pipe every so often, but other than that was fairly quiet with all the planes nearby

We were in town only a couple of days The hotel lobby and common areas are really nice Take your time and enjoy the art on the walls or if your here in the winter, enjoy the cozy fireplace

The staff (ALL, from the door attendants, to front desk, to the house keepers) are top of the line in hospitality, always readily available to assist in any way possible The rooms could use some updating with the furniture (it was completely torn and peeling), the peeling wallpaper The beds and pillows were really comfortable The wifi wasn’t working for most of our stay, but with so many phone plans offering unlimited data, that wasn’t a problem The hotel is in a quiet part of town, which made for a peaceful night’s rest after a long day

Me and my wife we went to greenfield village and stayed here father’s day weekendIt was beautiful the room was clean and disinfectant The manager and employees was beautiful also and the restaurant wow their food was excellent

I considered this hotel a 5 stars 5 diamond hotel in dearborn mi,it’s one of the the bestI worked in the janitorial cleaning business over 40 years and I just thought that hotels stop being unique and clean like this anymore,I guess I was wrongWE WILL BE BACK!

As other reviewers have said, don’t be fooled by the name This hotel’s staff presents as though they are running a cheap motel I would never recommend that anyone stay here for the lack of customer service alone

My wife and I came in for her delivery at a nearby hospital- the day before she was due We arrive at the hotel and the staff tells us we will have to wait to check in because their system was down I asked if it was 5 to 10 minutes of a wait or was it longer- the staff member stated 5 minutes After waiting 30 min, my wife explained her situation and one of the staff members was attempting to find a room for us manually so my wife could change and go to the hospital However, this staff member was told not to by another staff member that rolled her eyes and said “ma’am, we don’t do that you’re just going to have to wait” Then she proceeded to help another man check in on the side manually- just as we asked given our circumstances We waited another 30 minutes and then told them we had to leave because of my wife’s condition The rude staff member just said “okay” without any apologyNeedless to say, we didn’t stay there and never will in the future We checked in to the Renaissance in Detroit and received the level of service we expect from our Ambassador Elite status with Marriot If you want a high end experience, stay anywhere but here If you want to be treated like a second class customer, stay at the Henry Hint: there is a reason you will find this hotel at a much cheaper rate on third party sites

I stay at a lot of hotels, generally Marriott Titanium Elite, lifetime status, blah blah Point is I stay at a lot of Marriott brand hotels

Experiences like I had at this hotel are the exact reason that I don’t stay exclusively at Marriott If a nearby Hilton is $20 or so cheaper I’ll stay there instead Why? Because all hotel brands will treat you like garbage and do nothing to correct it And this Courtyard is a great exampleI called to ask about the shuttle service and I was told that the shuttle just loops around every 30 minutes or so Good deal pretty typical BUT, the dispatcher had great news: she was going to make sure the driver knew someone was waiting So I waited 10 minutes or so and watched… watched as the shuttle drove past the sign marked “hotel shuttles” I stood up and started the 20 foot walk over I then watched as the driver picked up 0 riders, and after waiting roughly 15 seconds, he left I ran I ran as fast as I could but… he was faster I called the dispatcher back and they said the driver would circle back around He didn’t 30 minutes later the shuttle pulled back around and AGAIN drove past me This time, I hollered You know, since I was already left once Luckily though, this time the driver was stuck behind another shuttle so he didn’t take off But he sure let me know I shouldn’t hollerUltimately, the shuttle driver lied, the dispatcher lied, and the shuttle driver was a complete jerk, which I was admittedly a jerk back Also; if you’re reading this and you’re the grandma or teenage hippie that butted in, you still have no clue what you’re talking about But I apologize to everyone for yelling back at the driver

Well, not my favorite Marriot at all! Not really Courtyard Marriot standards in my opinion Courtyard was not well taken care of My room had a very bad musty smell that had to air out with open patio and window plus lysol

Furniture has been beaten up pretty bad lots of nicks and dents on Furniture stains on carpet Sofa bed mattress ripping We had a three night stay and decided to leave early Night before check outI will say that the service was pretty good People were nice and accommodating This place need some work though I guess for airport stay with lots of traffic it could be a lot worse?but for my hotel snobsfind another Marriot not this one (Wish I listened to the bad reviews) This was 2 star in my opinion I raised the star because the workers seem nice I won’t stay here again though Didn’t feel “clean” enough for me and my family I had to ask for a new coffee maker because of a bad experience 👎🏼 Sheraton near by was a lot nicer but I haven’t stay there in over a year so I like the option to sit in the courtyard with Courtyard view but again Courtyard has been neglected Comfy bed though Except I was right next to the wash room so my bed was like a vibrating massage chair except I wasn’t comforted or relaxed by it Gave me a headache 😩 All in all *thinking*I guess it was between disliked and just ok So 25 star if they had that option but I gave three 😇

Made my reservation at approximately 8:30pm today after our flight was cancelled Tried reaching the hotel for nearly two hours to get a ride from the shuttle and never got an answer Called the toll frr number and customer relations and was told I could file a formal complaint which didn’t help with the transportation issue

Ended up paying $25 for an Uber and was told when it arrived their phone lines were down Finally got checked in at 11pm only to be disgusted by the condition of the room It was filthy! I dont know how this place received good reviews because as you can see from the pics its gross
