Decent sized room (suite) for a little over $150 (Monday/Tuesday stay) 2 Queen beds, a sofa, small sink, microwave and coffee maker Work station (desk) and a 40” flat screen TV

A/C was a little dirty and bathroom needs some work Looked more like a Motel 6 bathroom, in terms of cleanliness Other than that, I enjoyed my stay Hotel is very conveniently located near restaurants, ice cream shop and mall isn’t that far either

Dean Marzullo

Hairs on the bathroom floor and tub faucet Stains on the carpet and underside of the tablesVery small pool, cold and unheated

Sleep was okay, service was decentIt’s alright for a one night stay but I probably wouldn’t come backAdditionally Lazy designs – toilet paper holder too far away to reach, and grab bar for getting out of the shower was on the same side as the toilet, so you can’t use it

Davonna Austin

The couch was disgusting and scratched up, the light was broken, the tv kept blacking out, the remote barely worked, the staff was rude and not accommodating, had to beg for extra towels and blankets for a room booked for 5 people while they only provided for 2 people, and the carpet was disgusting By far the nastiest place I’ve ever stayed in and they should be ashamed of themselves Cynthia, in particular was very unprofessional and rude over the phone

Really disgusting and street like attitude They charged me for damages that already existed in the room Don’t waste your money there It’s trash

The place is clean! Comfortable! It is a wonderful hotel, I just wish they would put effort into it Things are falling apart, the showerheads are awful Great pressure, but just old needing a soak (the showerhead)

Cheap toiletries Stale breakfastIt’s like the place has everything you want, but at a C grade ratingYou get what you pay for, it’s not bad, just could be so much more

Brianna Byam

Spent almost $225 for 1 night (opposed to the advertised $95) and was so disappointed When you walk into the lobby it’s outdated and the carpet smells Unfortunately, our room smelled worse- with carpet stains all over

Woke up and my mother with autoimmune issues is horribly sick We had to leave right away Not sure if there is mold, but if there is- wouldn’t be surprised if it’s in the carpets Neither of us felt comfortable barefoot and even wore our sandals in the shower which was also stained We couldn’t wait to leave and just felt dirty If we could have found another place, we would have left immediately requested a refund- but there was no availability elsewhere and we drove 3+ hours Unfortunate

Rooms were clean and well maintained Hotel extremely convenient to the hospital Staff was friendly and helpful, especially Luke

All common areas of the hotel were very nice and clean Free parking a bonus! Chairs in dinning area are kind of rough considering how nice everything else is In my opinion, continental breakfast should be complementary Nice view on 7th floor of the Catskills (See photo)

This is my second time staying at this hotel The first time I made the reservation via hopper, and the second via the actual hotel website I was not only greeted both visits with the friendly staff faces at the check in desk at all hours of the day/night, the hotel provides literally everything I could possible need

Rooms were clean and neat, and well lit I have to say out of everything I feel like the safety procedures set in place for all of the guests was my top favorite I love the fact you can’t enter a floor without a guest card That alone made me feel the safest I look foward to the next stay and thank you for everyone who made my stay yet another amazing one !

Please upgrade the in-room TV offering Antiquated TV service has SD/480p blurry menu without and stream offerings — was under the impression this was standard Hilton Your TV sets are nice — the menu/quality etc piped in is not

Everything else was great and counter staff was really helpful Would be 4/5 with modern offeringsBetter/less expensive breakfast offerings from Starbucks on the first floor Complimentary grab and go items would have been nice

Clean and quiet room Visited for the NCAA Sweet 16 to bet and watch in the lounge The week before they had a great NCAA Tourney lodging special that sold out, but the assistant manager Phillip was kind enough to honor it for our stay

Had a great time during the day walking the surrounding neighborhoods, eating and hitting some old school bars There’s also a great fitness room in this hotel with everything you need and a nice view of the river

Donna Romanyk

There was no bellhop to push the luggage cart and I had a very hard time maneuvering it myself, there was only one working elevator, the sink our room wouldn’t drain, and there were 4 police officers dealing with some problem that happened The room was very clean with a nice view of the river But honestly I expected a bit better service

Nicolas Henry

Stayed for about a week and a half Room was clean and tidy upon check in and the bathroom heater was a nice touch which brings this score up to a 2 Bed is mediocre on comfort

Had to switch to my own pillow after night one No microwave or coffee as already stated which should be standard in any hotel these days The shower glass is not long enough so the water will get out Housekeeping is upon request and is subpar If you request anything expect it to not arrive or take a long time The a/c is obnoxiously loud as well If it’s more than a one night stay to enjoy the casino would suggest you look elsewhere

Beautiful hotel with very nicely newly renovated and spacious rooms Booked different room types for family visit and the king bed room was very spacious Could fit another king in it

Double queen beds room always also very spacious Receptionist was very courteous and accommodating We enjoyed our stay My only regret was not asking for a tub (my bad, assumed it had) to have a bubble bath after my long day It had a double size shower At checkout I asked the attendant to notify housekeeping that because of construction in main lobby the rooms were dusty and should be cleaned more properly Some corners you could clearly see dust and debre and while walking through the room does get under feet That was only reason why 4 stars; not 5

Kevin Lawless

This was a completely unplanned hotel stay that my kids and I will remember forever Our entire county lost power in residential areas and I wasn’t able to find a hotel closer to home Chose this hotel specifically because it has the indoor pool and hot tub, but also a great price for an immaculate hotel

Everything was so clean The staff were very friendly and helpful Breakfast in the morning was probably the most beautiful set up I have seen with a great selection They have a clean, spacious dining area that had more of a cafe feel to it The pool and the hot tub were exactly what we had hoped for, not too crowded either The hot tub and pool were both handicap accessible- this is something I love seeing, even if we don’t use itAll around, a great stay for an awesome price

OG BassheadMom

Those people who left a negative review have obviously never stayed at some of the other hotels in the area I’ve been traveling back and forth to Albany for a while now and all I can say is do not go for the cheaper hotels Last time,, let’s just say I have never been so disgusted by a hotel room in my life

so, when I got to my room at LA Quinta I was so happy The room was nice, clean and the bed was comfortable The staff was friendly and helpful My son had a good time in the pool and the breakfast was nice too I can’t stress this enough – it is not worth it to go for the cheaper places Spend the extra $50 and stay here, and you’ll be pleasantly surprised

nathan dice

We didn’t get the room we reserved but could use the room we got if we had a roll away Do you think 1 was available at anytime during the stay? Nope Our key was some how deactivated nearly every day, which led to a trip to the front desk

The continental breakfast was truly pitiful as well The staff was really good despite these glaring issues Always friendly and did whatever they could to help At best, meh

This is a great hotel The staff were very friendly and welcoming However, on our second day the cleaning staff did not clean our room, so we had to ask for clean towels and more toilet paper, which was kind of a let down for a hotel with such a reputation

Moreover, one towel which was provided to us (although clean) was torn Not a huge deal but for $630 for two nights you would expect better

Grant Brown

I normally avoid staying downtown but that may change now that I have found this place!Beautiful and historic lobby with modern, crisp guest rooms Super comfortable bed Zero noise from neighbors/hallway

Great water pressure and temp Staff were pleasant and welcomingI would definitely recommend if you’re looking for a hotel in the area!

Melissa Bridle

Spent last night here Hotel is beautiful, staff are very friendly, beds are very comfortable Giving it a 3 because when I checked in they gave me a room with a view of a brick wall and am air conditioner, asked to be moved and they readily had other rooms available

The rooms also could use a deep clean Not sure if they just don’t give their staff enough time to clean, but the bed frames need a vacuum and there’s lots of dust and grime in the less seen areas (bed frames, ledges of the sill on the sliding bathroom door, edges of desk and bathroom counters, etc)

This venue is a true hidden gem It was an absolute DREAM to have our wedding reception here We are from out-of-state and so we were looking for a venue large enough for our family & one that offered onsite lodging

The rooms at the inn are incredible and feel like a five-star hotel I absolutely loved being able to have access to the pub after the reception to spend more time with our family & bridal party Our wedding guests were in complete awe of the entire venue! The team that work here are AMAZING I personally want to thank Gabriela the event planner at Glen Sanders – you were so incredible & made the process very easy, despite being in a pandemic You made us feel so special and like we were the only couple you were working with Thank you to the entire team that helped put on our wedding I wish I could relive the day over & over We 100% plan to book an anniversary trip to spend more time in the Inn!

Maura Green

Our Daughter and son in-law’s wedding was held at Glen Sanders on 12/18/21 Absolutely EVERYTHING was AMAZING! The attention to detail was flawless They anticipated things we could have never thought of

The food was delicious, the servers, the front desk, the bartenders, the bridal attendant, the list goes on and on, just spectacular! In addition to the day of, Prior to the day Gabriela made sure to plan, communicate and reassure! There is not one thing that we would have changed!

Brittany H

I recently celebrated my wedding here I have to say the attention to detail here is amazing I had never been here before and went to the mansion to have a tour and to discuss my options in person

I first met Gabriella and Katie who were so kind and happy to help me It is honestly truly rare to meet people who are so happy to help, enthusiastic, and willing to accommodate I had a good feeling when corresponding with them over email, but this was solidified by meeting them in person The mansion is absolutely gorgeous, I don’t know of any other place that has both the aesthetic and attention that Glen Sanders provides There is a beautiful winding staircase and impressive chandelier – in addition to modern and comfortable furnishings The food was fantastic – as is always with Mazzone The entire place was decorated for the holidays provided by the mansion so I did not need to purchase anything extra Glen Sanders truly took care of everything, they were my coordinator, florist, venue & caterer all in one In addition, they have an in house Salon where Jen and Jenelle of The Grand Salon did my hair & make up perfectly and were both professionals This made it so easy for me to get ready and go right to my ceremony shortly after All of the staff at Glen Sanders were kind and attentive On the day of my wedding Marc and Ellie were there to oversee my event and make sure everything went smoothly which it did Myself and my family had a great time Thank you Glen Sanders!

I was extremely satisfied with my stay here! Also I’ve never seen such an accommodating hotel Handicap and pet friendly, and there’s even storage for guests (which I’ve never seen before and assuming if one is staying for an extended time)There’s meetings rooms, a media room, fitness area and a pool! The best part complimentary breakfast 👏🏾 (it’s starts at 7 so get there early)The rooms are nice and spacious, the showers are lovely with phenomenal water pressure and temperature! The staff are extremely lovely and helpful and I can’t wait to come back if ever I’m in the area again 🤗

Lily Morris

I booked this room form my grandmother and myself for a weekend away from home The rooms are massive and the pool and spa are great, but other than that, I am very disappointed On multiple occasions, I picked up dirty towels and food from the pool area

They were left there all day On one occasion, I picked blueberries out of the pool There was often trash in the halls and elevator that has been there since we arrived They also failed to tell us that housekeeping is only available upon request That would have been fine but they never told us until we went down and asked When we requested towels and toiletries, we had to ask 3 times before we received them, and they were left outside the door in a pile I am extremely disappointed and I would recommend you stay somewhere else that is worth the large sum I paid for 3 nights

Gary Ambrose

I was a bit disappointed with a few things For the price of $170 per night, I expected at least clean bedding of the proper size There was a stain on the bedspread, when we pulled all the bedding off at the end of our stay there was a large stain on the mattress

Also when we pulled out the sleeper sofa, there was a large urine stain on the mattress When I called the front desk to see if they had a replacement mattress for the sleeper sofa, the only solution that was offered was to put an extra sheet over itThe bedding for the sleeper sofa was of the wrong size (looked like it would probably fit the king bed), and when we asked for proper size sheets to be sent up, they were still the wrong size They either don’t have the right size sheets for the pull out bed, or no one knows where to get them fromThe night we were there, the pool towels were all used up and never replenished From about 6pm until 10pm when the pool closed, there were no towels Someone should be checking this stuff This was on a weekend when the hotel was booked up, so they should have had staff They don’t put enough towels at the pool anyway Even when we went first thing in the morning after it had been filled up, I could tell the towels were going to run out very quickly because they didn’t even fill up half the towel rackThe remote control was missing the battery cover and the batteries would not stay in When I called to ask, they did not have a replacement remote Not the biggest deal, but disappointingThe pool was nice, other than rarely having enough towels out The complimentary breakfast was very good and had a variety of hot food choices The mini kitchen in the room had everything you would need for a short trip All staff I encountered were very friendly, I just wish they were better at solving issues such as the one we had with the pee stain on the pull out The stained bedding and mattresses alone are enough to make me unlikely to stay here again They need to do better in that regard

Easy, efficient check in Friendly staff Very clean room

roomy and comfortable Appreciated the mini fridge and microwaveBar was only open 6pm-10pm (Nina, the bartender, was pleasant, funny and attentive) Breakfast was also still very limited (COVID throwback) We were still able to get a hot bagel sandwich (sausage, egg and cheese) even though it wasn’t advertised Glad my brother asked, otherwise we would have had cold cereal or a muffin Yuck!Nice river view

Lindsay Romeo

We enjoyed our stay here! The location is super close to lots of bars and restaurants, which was great! I also had an issue with my bill and the front desk was quick with resolving it after my trip However, I didn’t necessarily think the premium price was worth it for this stay– the quality of this hotel is similar to any other Courtyard Marriott

Carol Caravassi

The cleanliness and comfort of the guest rooms were completely up to the usual Marriott standards we have always come to depend on, however, the friendliness of the staff and amenities at the Troy location were not We had over 100 guests attending my son’s wedding at Brown’s Brewing Company next door, so we thought the convenient location of the Marriott would be perfectThe 50+ guests who booked into the Marriott at our recommendations all expressed unhappiness about the limited hours at both the bar and the coffee station/breakfast facilities were open

Anyone who attends a wedding celebration until midnight certainly is hoping to get a cup of coffee in the hotel lobby after 9:30 am the next morning! We felt obligated to treat all of our guests to a real breakfast when we discovered that Starbucks closed at 9:30am This may be acceptable for those few guests looking for nothing more than a clean and comfortable room, but it was not acceptable for this very special family event where people flew in from all-over the country to attend When booking reservations for that many guests for the same event, they might want to consider extending the hours of bar and coffee facilities

The hotel is conveniently located right off the highway Its so close to lots of shopping and restaurants- some you can even walk to! Check in and out was super easy

Plenty of parking on site The rooms are a bit tight but clean When we got in we saw the sheets were not clean We told the front desk and they had someone change the sheets immediately The pool was not so clean tho – water was murky Also, we asked for additional blankets and pillows and were told that as we had a double room, we could not get anything additional That was strange The breakfast was a great option to have – they had a hot breakfast and also items that were easy to grab and go They had hot water all the time in the lobby so you can always make a coffee or something The rooms have a microwave and fridge which is super useful especially if you are traveling with kids Lots of outlets in the room also for various electronics

This hotel is nice the Holiday inn Express does offer a lot The hospitality from front desk was well appreciated after coming in from a long day The gym also very nice very good to get a nice workout in while you’re traveling keep the blood flowing

The staff was awesome Bar, front desk, and lounge people were all greatMy room was dated, but that’s OK, because the location was perfect for where I was working in Albany

The reason they lose stars for me, is that the room smelled like smoke and the scent that hotels and Uber drivers use to cover the smell of smoke It’s really more annoying because the hotel confirmation info in the app has a very convincing green check icon that the room is guaranteed smoke free

The hotel was in a location with plenty of restaurants and dunkins/Starbucks The hotel staff was very pleasant and kind The lobby and lounge area was updated and great to hang with teammates, get something to eat and just relax

The rooms are clean, big, beds were comfy and ac worked great! The hotel hallways, rooms, outlets and especially the bathrooms need some modernizing, as they were a little outdated

This is a decent hotel but unfortunately not one I would likely return to in the future While the rooms look to be recently remodeled, I found the bed to be pretty uncomfortableNoise is one of the biggest things that can ruin a hotel stay for me, and unfortunately at this property hallway noise was frequent, excessive, and loud

The room doors offer essentially zero soundproofing so you hear every footstep walking past, as well as groups of young children running aroundThere are several other hotels in the Albany Airport area that can offer a restful night sleep without noise disruptions

The only reason the review is 5 stars is because of the receptionist Miracle! The waitress/table runner was so beyond rude in the breakfast area We were told at check in there would be a complimentary breakfast because of the fact their restaurant was closed and there was no bar like stated online We went to eat and we’re told to pay, which we had no problem doing, but there was others also saying they were told it was free

The woman working rudely said to just go eat and waved her hand in my face which I was talking with Miracle After she walked away I talked with Miracle and she confirmed that it said breakfast was included She was so so sweet and beyond nice with looking it up and talking with me/my baby My 7 month old loved to babble with her and I would definitely stay here again just because of how sweet she was!! I would definitely say she made me not want to eat or even stay here because of her attitude The room was nice and everything else besides the extremely rude brunette was fantastic

We enjoyed our stay here, I was a little worried when reading comments but we enjoyed it!! The staff were super friendly and helpful, the lobby area was really nice, the pool and hot tub area were great, the room was suitable The areas thought that could use improving – breakfast was not included, the shower pressure was not adequate, the beds were queen but seemed more like a full bed, and the elevator was horribly slow Also the first morning we were there my husband asked if we could get breakfast to go/takeout, because our 7 year would not eat all the food in one sitting, he was told no

The next morning we all got breakfast and we noticed, another guest was using a take out container 🤔🤔 Overall we had a great stay!!

We paid for a room with two queen size beds We were tired and saw that there was a stain on the sheets as if it wasn’t changed I didn’t look much into it and went to bed

Upon awakening with the light from outside I was able to see that the bed linen was definitely not clean It had large stains in several area To confirm this, we lifted the sheet which showed the stain had penetrated the mattress pad 🤢 Upon checking out we informed the person at the front desk The response was “I’m sorry about that, this is unacceptable” Nothing else… 😳 We paid the extra money for the two beds and one was filthy and no compensation was given Wow 🤦‍♀️

My family stayed here for an appointment they had in the area My aunt said that during the trip she felt at ease staying at this hotel They said check-in was easy for them, the rooms were super clean, and -all of the staff was great

Specifically, the night auditor, who was very kind, patient, and helpful when my aunt needed help printing some forms out We would definitely recommend it here again, and would give 10 stars if we could! 🙂

Robert Atkinson

Rooms were great, very clean and well equipped Beds were comfortable Needed extra towels and we had to go get them ourselves which was a new experience

Not terrible but not convenientWould definitely go backBreakfast was a big disappointment as they were short of many items and it was staffed by just 1 person (cook and front counter person)

Stayed at this location a few times during the pandemic, however I suppose after the pandemic new staff came on boardI had an issue at check in & the young lady on staff didn’t know how to check someone in using points she had to make a phone call to the manager to figure it out No big deal right

However, I came back a few weeks later and it was the same lady at the front desk, again she didn’t know how to check me in , she had to call the manager again, this time proceeded to tell me it was my debit card, which I was looking at my bank account and it had plenty of funds in there, on top of that I tried a different card & the lady proceeded to tell me my cards were not working, which I know wasn’t true because after I left I went to an appointment and checked into another hotel and had absolutely no issues with any cards on file She proceeded to blame me in front of other customers telling me my card is declining I have never had an issue there before, or ever when checking in so I expressed to call corporate because I feel like the employee needed better training However, I tried to book there again because I like the location, I’m a college student and it’s right there next to the college, well I received an email informing me I wasn’t allowed back at that property For whatever reason , so I thought I’d share my experience for those of you who might be checking in under a different rate than the normal booking If you had a long day of travel beware of the under trained employees and be prepared to book a different location

Because management is not able to understand any complaint that is brought to their attention I’m not talking a difficult times like getting a party to be quiet for making the eggs over easy when they only know something as simple as giving you a receipt or a final bill This seems to be a task far too difficult for anyone at this facility or in their customer service center

Stay anywhere but here, unless you have money to throw away

Beautiful lobby, room, wonderful concierge and food staff Everyone made sure I was comfortable The concierge were friendly and helpful

The food staff made sure everyone wore masks and used gloves prior to touching the food My only complaint was my bed covers weren’t too clean and floor needed to be mopped It’s just an uncomfortable feeling during these times I would have given it 5 starsHowever, I would return to this hotel It was also reasonably priced

Sacred Jervis

Clean, modern and great employees The free breakfast and 24/7 coffee, tea & hot chocolate was really nice Digital check in and check out is wonderful! The pool area was clean, adequately stocked with towels and was very warm! The cable was also surprisingly really good as well

Lots of channels including Disney, HBO, etc Truly a family hotel I do wish that the rooms included a closet but overall I’m really happy with my stay

Cana White

Very newer looking building however the minimal feel of no closet or dresser or other furniture was disappointing Questionable how clean the bathroom really was as the soap dispenser were not refilled Your area to hang anything hangs over the small kitchenette area so you can brew coffee under your permanent press

If you like firm mattresses this is the place for you View was the roof and due to hardwood lamented floors everything echoes and you hear your neighbors very wellHotel was not busy so not sure why we had to be put in a room with adjoining door when we were not traveling with anyone elseDeposit amount was pretty steep for what we were already boating for and they still holding it after checking out more than 24 hrs ago We were hardly in the room to do anything more than sleepGreat location if you are doing shopping trip to Crossgates Pool are ran out of towels and didn’t seem to have anyone checking non it during the prime swim timeAnd finally having staff in the elevator with you having their own conversation but using foul language in front of my family was not really appreciate or felt appropriate for the work placeSeem to be upset that we dated to get on the elevator with them

$199 plus tax for the room The room was pretty and clean There was a stong bleach smell when you walk into the battroom

There were some stains on the pillow case and comforter but it was not the worst All-around the hotel looked fairly new The complementary breakfast was tour standard hotel food but they notify people that the eggs had pieces of ham in it for those who are kosher/halal

We had been traveling for 6 hours with our 3 kids and were really looking forward to stay there for the night and we arrived and they were overbooked We had reserved and pre paid the room 5 months ago The customer service at the front desk was poor: they did not apologize or empathize (our kids were clearly tired from the car, maybe offer water or something?)

They tried to blame it on us first (We had to find the reservation in our emails to show the date) and then the booking site It took them half an hour to reimburse us and left us with no room for the night and no apology Homewood suite? Never again
