We have stayed at the Stratford Inn many times over the years and always loved it It has gone downhill There are no pet free rooms, and our room smelled like a wet dog

They are still doing pandemic bag lunches instead of a breakfast buffet as most hotels are doing now Check in staff was very kind, but when I mentioned the room smell to morning staff, not much of an interested or caring response I am sad because location, price are still good, but I will not be coming back

Misty Leach

The only thing that is walking distance was a Safeway for my family! I wasn’t happy at all with the room not very much room very old furniture! Didn’t look like nothing as advertised! I stayed 2 nights only because I had absolutely no time to try to get another hotel being there for my son’s weeding and traveling from California! The parking was horrible trying to get in and out very tight fit ! Positive is the staff is absolutely very nice !

Addie Barber

photos are a complete scam, the rooms are dark and eerie with extremely uncomfortable beds, my sheets had orange stains all over it and felt dirty there was trash in the room when we checked in, someone left their gum inside of plant on the table the tv had little to no access

the shampoo and soap did not come out of the dispensers in the shower the hotel it’s self is alright, not what i thought honestly felt very cheated staying here

Let me be absolutely honest about this hotel It’s a two-star hotel at best I simply chose this place on a business trip and needed somewhere cheap to stay

I didn’t know it would look this outdated had I looked at the pictures more and would not have chosen this place otherwiseThe price, could be better for what they offer Yes, like others have said, it needs serious updating but was very surprised at the new flooring and how clean the room was overall Furniture is definitely from the early 2000 if not the ’90sThe bathtub is actually a deep soaking tub The hot water is scolding hot so I personally love it but be careful if you have little ones Not sure if it’s regulated temp wiseThe bedis a very cheap spring mattress It’s old and depressed in the middle like a bunch of adults had partied on it 😂But I still gave it four stars because the people here are very nice and the room was VERY quiet I only heard people using the bath/shower Maybe I got lucky with quiet people but slept like a baby 🍼

Melinda in the restaurant was awesome! We ate breakfast just hour after checking in We were tired and still upset for the reasons for our stay (Gas attendant @ the Shell on Crater Lake Highway, put gasoline in out diesel tank The management wouldn’t do anything due to their staff’s error

They couldn’t be bothered on a Saturday night on a Holiday weekend)HoweverRouge Regency is AMAZING!!!!Melinda service was awesome! She was friendly and she had a great sense of humor We greatly appreciated her cheerful personality & service

nichole paxton

This hotel and their staff are always the best! I actually got really sick and had to wait for my family to come over the mountain to come and pick me up They were more than willing to work with us and let me stay until my son got there to pick me up They were super super friendly

For once I felt like it wasn’t all about the money and they actually cared about their first!! It was nice to feel that 😌

Have had good experiences in the past for special occasion visits and food was really good Haven’t been in a few years so decided to go for Easter Brunch at $3999 per person

Walked in and staff looked stressed and confused We were seated at a dirty table and it took awhile to get a server to notice us She was pleasant and we made our way to the buffet What a disaster Undercooked bacon, the quiche was liquid, and they ran out of prime rib so they said to come back I got a pancake but there was no syrup or butter to be found By this time we had plates of food but I wasn’t impressed Returned to our table to discover everything was cold In the meantime my husband made his was to the prime rib and returned with a piece that looked like it had never been in the oven We looked at each other and said ” I don’t feel like getting a case of food poisoning is on our list of things to do today”, so we picked up our things and left You are a restaurant and you serve food like that? We were told by friends that there was new ownership and they had a bad experience recently We should have heeded their warning Sadly we won’t be returning

Igor Bronshteyn

What a charming hotelGreat service, big clean rooms, fireplace, fridge and a jetted tub in the room We also had a balcony overlooking outside dining area

Good food in their restaurant also, fairly priced with great serviceOhand they have a fully stocked game room and a gym, too!A bit of a drive to downtown Ashland (11 miles) but it all depends why you are here anywaysWe’ll be back!

Elyse Douglas

I wanted to love this place but the air conditioner was so obnoxiously loud that we could not sleep well The mattress was too soft for a tummy sleeper The freeway was much too close for my taste

Something we should have researched better, so it’s on us The room was clean The restaurant food was pretty good but a bit pricey So we left a day early

A really nice and comfortable place to stay in Ashland, Oregon Minutes from the beautiful Downtown area, a Food Co-Op, the Shakespeare Festival, a HotSprings Spa, the gorgeous Lithia Park, and the best restaurants and shopping in all of Southern OregonMatt (the manger) is welcoming, and friendly and keeps the place well stocked with exotic teas, coffees and spices for everyone to use

I especially enjoyed congregating in the massive kitchen to make meals and to meet new friends Nightly rates are affordable, and you can choose between common area bunks and private roomsI had an incredible time here and I highly recommended this The Ashland Commons to anyone! Thanks again Matt, Candy, and Chris

The decor was a bit dated But the room was very large Had very comfortable beds and two types of pillows on the bed

Firm or soft Our room had a nice table and chairs for our in room meals The continental breakfast was very good and had a variety of hot and cold food options They offered small paper bags for us to pack our meal and take it back to our room The in house restaurant had food and the flavors were spot on

Room was clean, spacious and a great bed Two sinks a real bonus! Checkin was fast and front desk staff very helpful The new interior design is a bright and stylish update over how it used to be

I stayed here for a month in July 2020 The location is great, and the service was just what you want, friendly and quick The rooms were showing a bit of age, but were very clean

The dishes were all clean, along with the stove and fridge Due to Covid, reservations were needed to use the pool and gym, so I cant speak to those amenities Housekeeping staff did a great job and were always willing to trade out a towel when asked For longer stays, its a good hotel in a good location Walking distance to the Walmart, short drive to the WinCo foods or Fred’s, so no need to eat out each night

Xenia Santiago

We stay here in July 2021 while we were doing our annual anniversary trip We were road-tripping through Oregon and Northern California The front staff was fabulous! They made us feel welcomed and quickly checked us in

The room was clean, spacious and comfortable The hotel is within walking distance to several restaurants and stores The front staff suggested a great local restaurant for us to celebrate our anniversary (which we do everyday of our trip) and even delivered an anniversary to our room That kind of service is rare and we are forever grateful I wish I had written down the names of the staff that was working that afternoon/evening when we checked in! Thank you to the two gentlemen and the lady manager the provided us with such great service!

I didn’t take any pictures, but the place is super nice It’s not a new hotel, but they’ve put in a ton of effort to keep the place looking great Very clean

Friendly staff We stayed in a suite, so there was a kitchenette, full fridge, tiny cooking range Lots of outlets Comfy beds Lots of seating The parking lot was very well lit Close to several restaurants, Costco, & a grocery store Nothing within walking distance, but 6 mins by car Grub hub delivers and there are snacks for purchase in the hotel And a great price We’ll definitely stay there again

Mike Nabers

Watch out when calling national number about park and fly My wife and I double confirmed that the rate we paid included park and fly for our trip This is standard practice for us as we fly often out of Medford airport and never had this problem at other hotels

Beware if you book park and fly online with “included” rate, it will cost you an extra $30 once you arrive

What a jewel!! The attention to detail is a reflection of the attentive staff From delicious locally roasted coffees and mid century furnishings everything was well thought out for an extremely cozy stay The Gardens were beautiful and our dog felt like royalty, with her own bed and treats on her pillow

We have been traveling for three week and the Palms was the first hotel I can truly say I would recommend and enjoyed We changed our reservation and stayed an extra night The room was clean and not overly perfumedI highly recommend staying at the Palms!

Wendy Snow

Easy sweet place! Spotless with the nicest touches of great soap, moisturizer The bed and pillows perfect for a great night’s sleep The Palm is small with individual units but they also offer a house for a bigger group or just more space

Their pool area is wonderful too Cabanas for the day if you want one! Staff is fantastic and ready to help Beautiful grounds, lovely experience at The Palm

Sirah Brautigam

This place is ADORABLE I love the feel of the property and the rooms They are always clean, and thoughtful with little things you might need and forgot! The front desk gal Sarah went ABOVE and beyond to make my stay amazing

One star based on price and expectation It’s just an old house that looks good in pictures but worn out in person Probably way overpriced to keep out the riff raff and give an air of exclusivity

I didn’t see any shared areas that weren’t part of their restaurant or easily accessible that they had pictured on their website The front desk service, while polite, gave me a key and pointed up the stairsRented the “double garden room”: I don’t know what is double about it as it was much smaller than pictures suggested; the “garden” was the bar/restaurant patio with the room’s windows making it feel like a fishbowl for everyone to look in, as well as the street traffic It took a while to figure out how to pull down the blinds as they were a mix of cords and types, very tedious There was a tiny couch, tiny TV, and a weird sack of a mattress on a metal box There was a note to please not use the big pillows (“to keep them nice for other guests”, really?) and what was left was two small flat basic cheap pillows No phone charging ports or outlets available near the bed area I didn’t even sit on the tiny couch as the cushions were sloped down so much it looked like you would slide off I was tired and went to bed only to hear all the noise from rooms around me Got to sleep but then was awoken later by the bar closing and moving around tables and chairs in the patio belowI didn’t even stay for the breakfast as I was tired of being disappointed by this place Just over-priced to give an air of exclusivity

Naomi S

Just spent 3 nights here as the midpoint in Thanksgiving travel This place is a gem of an oasis with unique beautiful rooms, all different, and the welcoming amenities of flowers and treats are an elegant touch Beds are comfy with lovely grapefruit soaps and lotions

Alchemy on the grounds offers wonderful menu items, wines and specialty cocktails Breakfasts served are delightful as well

Larry Marks

Quiet, well appointed, clean, comfortable Most importantly, room was within stumbling distance of Alchemy restaurant Staff was friendly, most helpful and accommodating

Only 1 complaint Hot water supply is apparently quite distant from the out buildings Took a long time running water to get hot water for bath or shower

I’m a big Hilton fan and enjoyed my stay here The staff are super friendly and helpful The moment you walk in the front lobby you feel welcome and you notice the cleanliness

I also like the lemon and cucumber water available to customers If I do have one complaint it would be the bathroom sliding doors that allow no privacy when sharing a room with someone Doors don’t lock and gaps on both sides allow others to see in while someone is using it

Jani Franer

We had to make last-minute reservations to stay at the Hilton which was close to the Asante hospital in Medford Myself and two other sisters who had flown in, were there to say “goodbye” to another sister in the hospitalThe front desk staff went above and beyond anything we’ve ever experienced in Customer Service

Because of the circumstances and to make life a little more tolerable, they gave us breakfast coupons, ice cream sandwiches for our room, and offered to take us to the hospital if necessaryI can’t even imagine in this day and age that hotel staff could be so kind and helpful It is a rarityOur rooms were clean and comfortable and we had everything we neededThis is the hotel you want to stay in

K V

I wish I could give it 5 stars but the pillows in this hotel are the absolute worst Ive ever slept on They are flat as a pancake and not comfortable or supportive which made getting a good nights sleep impossible The rooms are beautiful however, very clean, and the beds are comfortable too

Its just those awful pillows! If your staying here, bring your own pillows!

This place was excellent! It was very clean and well maintained The only thing I would change is the carpet in the rooms (rip it out and put laminate down) and only because it’s much cleanerStaff is friendly and check in was quick and easy

Beds were comfy and everything worked (cooler, fridge, shower, TV/remote) Pool looked great, though it’s fire season and we didn’t use it due to ash and smoke, and the on-site gym was clean and had good equipment Parking was easy and safe We’ll definitely stay again

PeterSu Copley

I love this Best Western! It is perfectly located close to the highway without the highway sounds The rooms are clean and don’t smell like chemicals Plenty of space in the rooms and bathrooms and there is a large swimming pool outside with a12 person hot tub

The free breakfast is open from 6:30-9:30 and has an abundance of choices The desk help were very friendly and accommodating I will definitely be staying here again

Jessica Merczak

Pet-friendly with shockingly nice grounds and plenty of outdoor seating Rooms have basic necessities despite being small Bathroom design is one I personally really dislike, where there is no sink with the toilet, and instead has a separate sink

Beds were squeaky, but not uncomfortable in a way that won’t let you sleep Rooms don’t have much in the way of sound proofing, but thankfully the neighbors weren’t loudPros: decent location, able to bring your dog, nice grounds, friendly staff, clean rooms, comes with breakfastCons: priced like a hotel A nice motel, but still a motel

Very nice and spacious room at a reasonable price The breakfast (microwavable egg + cheese + ham on an English muffin) was fine, but you had to get it from the front desk, and we went down to get it 3 or 4 times and there was nobody there Lots of guests milling about just like us

Front desk staff was great! The room was not, the bed sheets had stains and made me itchThere was a hole in the ceiling above the shower, and someone slid my receipt under my door at 5 am waking me upI did not feel comfortable staying, and would have left after checking in if not for the weather

Nice room overlooking park (could Hear the stream, couldn’t See it & only after the event next door was over, around 2 am) )with balcony, right Next to the restaurant next door which got noisy with some kind of special event TV had bad reception & selection If we came there again, we’d make sure we had a room further from the restaurant! A great place within walking distance of all the downtown action

Kudos to Molly at the front desk, who seems unflappable & sincerely sweet and caring! 🤗👍

The reason I am giving Plaza Inn 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the breakfast The room was great The staff was helpful and professional

Location is great as it’s just a 5 minute walk to the plays The breakfast however is shabby at best You could easily purchase the same breakfast at a gas station Small packaged pastries, peeled hard boiled eggs that were packaged in Minnesota, tasteless bagels Really, if you’re not going to provide proper food, then don’t advertise that you provide breakfast It’s insulting The second morning of our stay we skipped the hotel breakfast and ate at a nearby cafe I don’t think we would stay here again

Beware, this hotel will charge you more than what they are advertising and will not respond to calls or emails to resolve the issue I stayed here January 1-3rd, the advertised price was $149 per night I was charged $249 per night, but didn’t realize the mistake until I was back home

I have called numerous times and left messages, I have emailed the manager with no response I have reported this business to the Better Business Bureau and am still waiting for a resolutionAs far as the room – the decor is ok We found a dirty towel behind the door and a raisin in one of the chairs, which tells me they are not as thorough as they should be with their cleaning The staff was friendly and helpfulIf this company returns my call and refunds what they overcharged me, I will update my review Until then, buyer beware

Hotel is interesting and in incredible shape with consistent themes We were on the eighth floor with wide views and with exception of occasional road noise it was very quiet The grounds are beautiful and something interesting is always waiting to be discovered

The location made it easy to wonder around town on foot Breakfast was nice Room service was available (though Larks was very underwhelming) The staff are thoroughly impressive I could spend a great deal of time here

Wonderful location, interesting history, great service, gracious and helpful staff I love the decor, especially the lobby, full of natural light, the cozy fire place a great place to hang out of a crisp evening and several other tastefully decorated nooks for reading or a good conversation with a friendly doggie at your feet This hotel is dog friendly

Complementary breakfast is well balanced, substantial and a very convenient plus; you can enjoy it sitting in the gallery mezzanine level overlooking the lobby The Queen Petite room is just enough for 1 person The bathroom could use a towel rail/ ring near the washbasin and shower, there are no options to hang towels where you need them in these areas There are no easily accessible power outlets in the room There is a coffee maker but to use it I had to scout for an outlet and heave the dresser aside to access the only outlet I could find – behind it! Same issue for charging my phone I highly recommend this hotel

If you’re into history and architecture or just good old stories you have to go visit this beautiful well kept hotel! We just grab a cup of coffee from the hotel restaurant on the ground floor and hung out in the lobby for a bit Was trying to be discreet didnt want to disturb the guests there Really in love with those extended ceiling fans… the spring blossom center piece was a very timely nice touch! There are many many historic buildings in the United States and it is good to know some are very well protected and taken care of! 🥳🥳👍👍
