This place is a gem! The decoration is gorgeous, it feels renovated, refreshing and current Every person of the staff is generous and kind, they clearly enjoy their job The gym is stellar, and the pool and the jacuzzi excellent! Breakfast is delicious and with a variety of options

I 100% recommend this hotel and would definitely coming back

kira simring

This is fun hotel with a wonderful staff It has a youth hostel vibe but it’s great for families The beds are very comfortable and the decor is wonderfully playful

The one problem with the room is that space efficiency comes at the cost of privacy There’s a sliding door between the toilet and the shower so you can only close one at the time! The lobby has excellent snacks and a coffee bar

Our family of 5 loved this resort! It was family friendly and had a delicious hot breakfast included with our stay The pool was beautiful with fresh towels provided and access to lunch and dinner at a tiki bar and restaurant We loved being a short, 5 minute drive to the beach

The room was spacious and included a beautiful view of the bay with a gorgeous sunset Our favorite was the fresh coffee in the lobby in the mornings and fresh, filtered water infused with fruit in the afternoons/evenings We inhaled your fresh baked cookies too! We can’t wait to come back!

John Bauer

It was clean, beautiful and affordable but what made it exceptional was the staff They had the friendliest, most helpful employees I’ve ever dealt with at any hotel The view was amazing

It’s a short 5 min drive to the beach and the little things like water and cake in the lobby were a nice bonus too I would definitely recommend this hotel

Cassandra Rena

I have stayed on Anna Maria island many times over the years It was my 1st time staying here and I must say that the customer service was amazing!! Compared to everything else I’ve been experiencing over the last 2 or 3 years of travel this should be a standard that all places follow Everything was clean! Their breakfast was amazing! And changed daily

Hands down will stay at this location again Definitely worth the value The only downside is it’s not right on the beach but it is only 5 minutes away

From the moment you walk in you’re greeted by the two most wonderful young ladies with smiles that make you feel instantly welcomed!!! Our room was clean, very modern and overall very nice The pool was amazing and refreshing, the tiki bar was a blast with the most absolute best bar tender Denise, once she takes your first drink order she remembers your name and makes sure you are always taken care of, making everyone feel as if they come first Top notch service here from the office all the way through!!! This is by far one of the best hotels we’ve stayed at and I will definitely be going back as well as highly recommending!!!! Thanks so much for welcoming our family and making us all feel right at home!!!!!

My room was recently remodeled, sparkling cleanedThe hotel is very well maintained, security cameras everywhere and the laundry and pool accessible only for guestsExcellent customer service

This hotel worth every dollar spent

Joe Klapperich

This place was absolutely AMAZING Older? sure

undergoing renovations? Absolutely The room was spacious, updated, pristine and wonderful Check in was effortless Tiki bar was VERY nice, bar tender was friendly and prices were more than reasonableONLY ISSUE – this is a VERY INEXPENSIVE place where you are getting MORE than double your money as an experience HOWEVER – this ALSO means that the “Riff Raff” chooses tom stay there Persons can be friendly, or rude We found 80% friendly, the other 20% wanted to ENSURE that everyone know they were there, they were visible, and that they didn’t care what ANYONE else thoughtManagement did the best they could, but in the end – not a whole lot they could doWould we stay again? 100% yes! Will be our “go to” next time

Great property!Very clean, close to everything including, Malls, grocery stores, restaurants and the beach! The lobby is nice and the restaurant is a plus! My kids loved the pool which they hung out until 10:00pm!Rooms and bathroom were spacious! The fact that its located at the entrance of the IMG complex makes it even more practical!

Giselle Guzman

The hotel rooms are very modern and comfortable (we saw our friend’s room which is where they stayed), service was excellent and the hotel restaurant selections were extremely good We stayed at one of the villas because our group was larger and they were very roomy, we got 5 double beds split out through 3 bedrooms, 2 onsuite baths, plus an additional full bathroom If I was to go back; I would prefer to stay at the hotel rooms rather than the villas, there was lack of natural light, cleanliness in some parts of the villa, bathrooms and kitchen were outdated and the wall colors were too dark which made the place look it enclosed

There was an awful smell coming from the garage which was also very filty The price of the villas compared to the hotel rooms was only $10 cheaper per room

Monica Thomas

I selected a particular hotel room based on a sleep aid drink being included When we arrived at the hotel, the drink was not in room I phoned front desk but there was no answer, so I went down to inquire about drink

The attendant, left me standing in the lobby for about 30 minutes while he ran around the hotel looking for the drink He finally returned empty handedThe entire week up to our stay at the hotel, my daughter and I talked about this drink and we were excited because we don’t have these types of drinks in our country More importantly, we have trouble sleeping in hotel rooms so we were excited for such a thingTalking to the manager was NOT helpful as he was rude and disrespectful not allowing me to explain the reason for our disappointment I suggested he take the information off his website about the drink and he said he wouldn’t because they hope to get it again sometime – even though I brought up “false advertising”And these “Bear” beds they advertise are nothing specialDo not trust the glorious information on the website about the amazing sleeps you’ll have!

We had the opportunity to stay here at the end of March 2022 It was an overall good experience The room was clean and well laid out

Great balcony view as well All of the staff was accommodating and extremely patient and friendly We went to breakfast in the main lobby restaurant and had a fabulous brunch that I would highly recommend to anyone staying here We really also really liked that the self parking was very close to the hotel It felt like a safe place to be in and around the hotel My only con is in regard to the Hurricane Hut… the drinks seemed to be weak and full of sugar and the food was not super yummy However, the service was excellent and the portions were large Again, an overall good experience I will totally be staying here again if we ever return to Sarasota!

Bill Wright

Stay was a good time Parts of the hotel do seem dated Staff are 5 stars

Pool area was great What I liked less is hotel had a convention and a cheer group event during my dates They used the common space that at times took away from use of those not part of the events such as lobby seating area Wish it was different They have activities to do off site but what I would have liked is a good shuttle program to other areas or the beach I did see a shuttle to a restaurant if you wanted to leave to eatWhile mentioning food it’s a bit limited When I looked for dinner I noticed half the menu was same as offered at the poolWe had a mid sized car rental if your going into downtown get a car as small as you canGreat beaches and restaurants easy drive to visit

ReneeOnPoint

Do not let my three star rating discourage you from visiting this Hyatt Regency location You will receive five star service from check in to check out and that’s what will make your stay pleasant The location offers a beautiful view of the marina

There are so many restaurants within walking distance The hotel decor is extremely dated I just didn’t get that feeling of being in a “luxury” hotel The rooms offers all the amenities (robes, slippers, coffee, tea, toiletries) I read s company purchased the hotel and they plan to build another luxury hotel on the site I enjoyed my stay and will continue staying at Hyatt properties

My wife and I stayed here on a work trip and it was perfect! Our business price of $170/night for this hotel was unbeatable for the Sarasota area Beautiful, elegant modern style and very good use of space with the pool area For a smaller hotel they made perfect use of space to make it feel grand

The room was very clean and had a very comfortable bed The balcony overlooking the pool was great I loved that the pool had so many waterfalls which help drown out noise from any other guests and makes the atmosphere very romantic and relaxing

Alaina Ploski

We stayed at the Sarasota Modern for a quick weekend trip this February The room was clean and nice, and the hotel is unique in its decor and style It was also quiet, which I liked

The pool area was beautiful, and the bartender, Erica, is extremely talented and customer-service oriented It would be great if they had some hours of the pool that were kid-free so that adults could relax more peacefully Valet is expensive per night, and parking around the hotel outside is difficult, so you feel kind of forced into it We used valet one night, but they ended up charging us for 3 When we called to correct it, they did reverse the charges, so I was grateful they did the right thing Front desk staff was mostly friendly, but we did encounter a couple of less-friendly encounters (ie, being asked “are you staying with us?” as we were walking in to the lobby, and a representative telling my husband to grab sunscreen from a case that was locked) Otherwise, we did enjoy our stay and would go back again if ever in Sarasota

Anne L. Weintraub

Hotel is aesthetically pleasing Check-in, front desk, engineering, pool bar and bartender were excellent However, valet is the first impression and should smile and be welcoming

The menus could be more exciting-lunch and dinner were almost identical Be prepared for no room service in advance Nice perks of complimentary breakfast, and a drink for Marriott Bonvoy (certain levels) While I liked engineering, I didn’t like damp sheets in the room However, I did appreciate them resolving the issue because housekeeping was gone for the day I am intentionally being detailed because this property can easily improve from 3 stars with the right talent and care

This was my first time to the Gulf of Mexico ! I’ve been to many different destinations both in the US and outside of the country and this is absolutely one of the most beautiful places I think I’ve ever stayed at and have been to! The condo was perfect for my boyfriend and I and the sunsets were epic as well as the customer service ! Highly recommended, slice of paradise 🙂 !

Stephanie Thompson

I had booked this hotel due to how peacefully relaxing it looked Due to unforeseen circumstances I had to cancel my reservations I had made that is 3 months in advance to my date that I had reservations for and as the hotels website says, you get a full refund if canceled in 61 days However I never gotten my full refund despite what the cancellation policy on the website says

Not only did I not get my refund it took me at the most 2 days to even get in contact with someone to talk to about this Sadly disappointed!!!

She was awesome too the whole week we were there! I would definitely recommend this place Only downfall we had was the AC in our room didnt get cold enough but we bought a fan and that fixed that one and only issue! Loved it here Thank you for making out vacation so amazing!

When checking into a hotel, I am very picky I work at a Marriott property After reading the reviews at this property and seeing the photos online I decided to give it a shot, and we couldn’t be happier!! This property gave such a cute boutique hotel vibe

Rooms were clean, beds were comfortable, good quality linens, etc Pool area was clean, hotel provided towels, tiki hut had good drinks and upon checking we received 2 complimentary Staff and management was friendly, helpful, professional, and extremely responsive to any requests Definitely recommend staying at the golden host if you are looking for something affordable, clean, comfortable and central to everything 5/5 stars

Disappointed since we had other expectations based on the review prior to staying at AloftFirst of all, make sure to park on the street, Sarasota has free overnight parking and you can avoid the $18/night valet fee The valet that was there when we arrived on 2/13 gave very poor service, did not open the door for either of us or help with our bags and was very adamant about tipping which I found strange since it’s well known that you tip a valet (or anyone really) AFTER the service is done

Why would I tip you before I get my car back? Especially when he didn’t do anything that a typical valet would help with other than the bare minimum This didn’t bother me but I didn’t like how pushy he was for a tip He even told us it was his only day working that week to coerce us to tip him before the service and we literally saw him there a day laterThe front desk staff were great, and the gym was very good especially for a hotel These were our favorite partsOur room was unfortunately very dirty, I am going to try to attach some pictures to see This is how it looked when we arrived I hope that Aloft takes this feedback to improve and give other people better experiences

Aria Sam

The good: hotel staff was friendly, pool was nice, bathroom was nice, decor was modernThe bad: beds are very cheap, hard, and uncomfortable Sheets are worse than amazon basic sheets; they feel like paper

In the queen rooms, one bed is entirely in front of the ac, so you get blasted all night I literally had to wrap a towel around my head as a hat to keep it from freezingThe walls are super thin and you can hear everything Pool view rooms let in noise from the pool, which is open til 11pmPretty sure the hotel is haunted My faucet turned on and off multiple times throughout the night, stuff rattled in our bathroom, the chains to the blinds kept being pulled, and pillows flew off our bedThe area the hotel is in has nothing but a few excessively expensive shops At least 10 minutes to any beach aroundAnd parking is a mandatory valet system ($18/night), unless you’re only staying Saturday or Sunday night, in which case you can get away with parking on the street if you manage to snag one of the eight or so spots, 2 of which are handicap Parking there is 2 hour max 9am – 8pm, “unenforced on Sundays,” per hotel management

*** LOVE! LOVE! LOVE this Aloft Hotel***Beautiful property in Sarasota The moment you walk in you’ll fall in love with this property The lobby is modern and has a great vibe

Love the music, the colors, the bar area, you name it! Rooms are clean, modern and spacious with great amenities such as complimentary in room bottled water (2 per day), free in room coffee, also free unlimited shampoo, conditioner and body wash The beds and pillows were super comfortable The pool and spa was amazing as well The location of the property is outstanding Walking distance to many restaurants and shops The only thing lacking in the room is having hooks to hang the towels There’s only one hook, which it was a bit frustrating Overall experience was tops and the staff was super friendly, courteous and professional Will definitely love to stay here again!

We just returned from a 3 day vacation at Zota Beach resort! We had a great time and this hotel was top notch Very convenient with valet parking, staff was very friendly each time we left or arrived back with our vehicle The room was spacious and very modern, comfortable bed, & spacious patio

Beach access was convenient and we enjoyed having complimentary beach chairs with our room, very nice pool & hot tub area The on sight restaurant was pricey but food was very worth it, our waitress was very friendly Bar has some delicious house drinks, also a friendly bartender that is very attentive We had a great experience and will definitely be returning for future vacations The room was on the pricey side but overall very worth it for the experience and location!

Bella Babylon

Loved staying here at this hotel for my birthday weekend/Memorial Day weekend We booked a premium ocean view room at the newer Opal building (built in 2017) The ocean view room has a view to the pool and the beach

If you want a full-blown oceanfront, you need to get a Ocean front room Next door was construction but I didn’t hear any noises The service was wonderful Dan the Concierge was amazing He was so helpful He even helped my husband plan a birthday surprise for me and he had a scented candle from the hotel as a gift for me The service was great at breakfast and dinner The pool was very nice with games for kids There is a direct access to the beach 2 beach chair are included in your hotel stay and you can rent an umbrella for $20

Brenda Fikry

Overall great hotel, amazing pool on a fabulous quite beach Welcoming staff Dislike how you pay premium prices for your room and on top of it a resort fee that does not even include a beach umbrella

The pool can get very busy on weekends with LOTS of high energy children A family friendly place for sure if that is what you are looking for!

Really nice hotel Being next to the airport I thought I would hear planes taking off frequently However, in my 2 nights I stayed there I only heard 1 plane take off near the hotel and it was in the morning

They had a dishwasher, microwave, full size fridge and dishes They also had a grill by the pool Great option for families It was fairly new and very clean I would recommend this hotel for anyone

Debbie Jones

I love hotels with grills! This one didn’t disappoint If you have a vehicle this is a great place! Without a vehicle it’s a little remote but there is a restaurant and bar in the sister property behind The room was very clean and comfortable

The bed was comfortable as well The grill and grill set were well kept and helped me make some delicious “home” cooked meals The staff was super ni e and helpful as well I would definitely stay here again!

I’m not one to leave reviews but when a location is so nice and the staff so welcoming I always make sure to do so The location is darling, the atmosphere so peaceful and the views are breathtakingOne thing I do want to say is that the staff are great and honest people, I mistakenly left my charger (with my Apple Watch attached) in the room after I checked out and the staff was so kind to call me and let me know

Which gave me time to return and retrieve them Truly I am thankful for such true and honest staff! Thanks for making my stay peaceful

This is my 4th stay here at this hotel I’ve stayed 4 days/3 nights each week Kira has been beyond phenomenal with her customer service skills! Every question I’ve had she has found an answer

Each room has has been cleaned to expectation and each bed has been comfortable to sleep on Very inviting hotel with an easy check-in process I travel for work so these are a couple of things that are very important to me

Awesome location, and the room was clean and modern However

the pool was grossly inadequate in size based on the size of the hotel, with five (yes, FIVE) total lounge chairs that guests were literally fighting over The pool water was really dirty, gross No hot water in the shower, the room lock was not functioning properly and we had to lock and unlock the interior about five times before it would work No towels in the gym, no towels at the pool, and the second floor elevator would not go down (you had to push the up button, then get in the elevator, then push down) The breakfast hot food was cold, and the room AC was really noisy I regularly stay at Marriott for branding, but this visit overall was really disappointing

The hotel and rooms were pretty dated and the hallways and carpet had definitely seen better days – Smelled like a frat house on Sunday morning when you got off the elevator Our room wasn’t much better but the linens and towels were clean Bathroom and furniture were filthy in our suite

We were moved to a different room that was slightly better Staff was excellent and very helpful all around Housekeeping was very attentive and polite to guests The lobby and breakfast / bar area was very nice and had a wide variety of coffee drinks and breakfast options Pool area was a highlight here clean and spacious We used the hot tub and pool daily Would go back but hopefully corporate does something about the overall condition of the rooms , furniture and common areas (aside from the lobby and pool) Again, staff and Housekeeping were amazing and the only reason I would returnThanks to them

This hotel has the appeal of a tomb LED lights would help this hotel out immensely The lobby was nice and inviting so I was surprised to get out of the elevator and be immediately transported to the reptile house at the zoo

Minus the reptiles, our room was dank and dark and smelled weird It was like a musty-feet smell We stayed at several hotels on this vacation and this was the only one I said, “cancel tomorrow’s reservation, I can’t stay here” I don’t mind old as long as it’s updated and clean This place just creeped me out Maybe since the lobby was nice and bright they are slowly renovating the hotel, but it would have been nice to have seen signs of that Staff was nice and pleasant

Hanging with the Coopers

The hotel is dated The toilet in our room had low pressure and didn’t flush well The front desk and the rest of the staff were very accommodating and kind with the exception of the manager at the front desk

He may be the GM as well We had a really good rate and I believe because of that he gave us a room on the lowest floor at the very end of the hall despite my husband’s Gold status They have pool security on duty and I understand the need for him as locals probably abuse pool privileges, but we were told we could only have 6 guests in the pool area including room guest We had not been home to Florida in 3 years due to Covid so family wanted to come see us and with it being so hot and us staying at a hotel, we invited them to come see us at the pool There were only 8 people at the pool when we got there and within 30 minutes they were all gone before the rest of our family arrived We had maybe 14 people show up, mostly siblings with their kids and we were told we had to leave or book extra rooms We’ve always stayed at this hotel and had similar number of guests and NEVER had any issues Maybe they thought we were going to have a party, I’m not sure, but that wasn’t the intention and I didn’t like the way they treated us especially as paying guests I explained that we were home for the holiday and we hadn’t seen each other in years so meeting up at pool would be fun for everyone and we would be respectful of others They didn’t care and said it was against their policy for me to have more than 6 guests I asked to see the policy, but they couldn’t produce one I didn’t argue We all left We finished out our stay, but I will never stay there again They are not family friendly, unreasonable and uncompromising

Myself and my wife recently stayed for our birthday weekend Despite the initial confusion due to the construction we were able to locate the hotel pretty quickly The valet team was quick and efficient and for $35

00 per night which includes shuttle service It was an absolute blessing! Upon checking in, we encountered Russ who was quick and efficient and ensuring every person was handled! We asked to see if there was any upgrades available, and he was able to put us in a city view! The room itself was pleasant If there is only one nitpick, would be from the television/remote due to the slow delay from button push to registering I do recommend getting the breakfast package as well as you can order off the menu versus a “limited” item I even got to experience new foods that I normally would never think to try! Huge shoutout to Jenn for making us feel welcomed! The roof top bar and pool provided an exquisite view for those who enjoy tanning/having a pint! Best hotel my wife and I have stayed at!

We’re locals The spa experience was fabulous! Irina did my facial and she was so so awesome I left feeling so relaxed and it was such a treat

My husband had a massage with Jennifer and he absolutely loved it as well Excellent quality and service! The lady at the front desk was also helpful and sweet We will definitely be returning for more spa staycations and highly recommend

This is a fabulous hotel I’ve seen some reviews that were not so pleasant and I have no idea how anybody could say anything bad about this place since it is gorgeous and so clean Went to the rooftop bar yesterday and we really enjoyed the food and had decent sized drinks

Definitely recommend that the french onion soupI have a partial view of the ocean and the room is really lovely The staff here couldn’t do enough for you They have a shuttle that will bring you to just most places that you need to go to

After a disaster at a different restaurant we found this place via Open Table A+ Food was delicious

People were super nice Started with great apps as we were hungry Add some great rolls and butter with good stuff mixed in A nice healthy side salad Then chicken scampi…plus add the shrimp over angel hair…Yum and super hot Beer and Wine as a reminder We hear the have a great brunch daily…wondering how they do Bloody Mary’s? Mimosas as a substitute would be fine Worth the trip and looking forward to brunch

I made reservations to bring a family member for ladies brunch and it was a very unsettling experience We sat there a very long time before our drink or food order was taken We arrived around the time of a large party the waitress said and we were the very last order to be put in, causing our wait to be over an hour and a half

The waitress seemed agitated when we placed our order, huffing when we asked questions about the menu We did not even receive utensils until our meal was almost finished As we sat outside in their courtyard alone a pedestrian passed by screaming racial slurs to us calling us the “N” word I’m sorry but this is just unacceptable and we will not tolerate this type of environment It seemed he knew the area by the way he was wondering back and forth through the parking lot I would not recommend this location for people of color and note that this is not a welcoming area for all We did not feel safe or comfortable after this experience and will not return I work in the private jet charter industry with clients of all races and backgrounds, frequently flying them directly into the private Sarasota airport not far away So I’m no stranger to the hospitality service industry as a Corporate Flight Attendant No excuse for this type of service My clients often request for local unique restaurants to visit in this area After our experience, I cannot and WILL NOT refer The Reserve Retreat or bring my family here again

I love that as a Hilton honors member we get a $10 credit per person for breakfast, it’s the reason why I always book garden inn Breakfast was yummy and our server was absolutely wonderful, very friendly However I was a little surprised that they do not have any fresh fruit for the pancakes or French toast

The night time gentlemen at the check in desk was very kind and even helped to store some pies for us in the restaurant fridge until checkout Which meant so much to us, because they were for my mom, and I wouldn’t have been able to do that without him! All in all, the service here is fantastic and the employees really match the Hilton way by giving great service to their guests The pool is also a decent size, and gets lots of sunshine so it’s nice to lay out And it’s nice that they have brochures with all the things to do in the areaThe rooms however are a different story The beds are extremely uncomfortable, hard and old The room has a very clear musty odor as soon as you open the door (probably from the very old carpets and curtains getting stuff spilled on them over the years) There are no fans in the bathroom so pray nobody needs to go number two during your trip And the pillows under the cover are completely yellow The hotel needs a serious renovation, especially being in such an upscale town like Sarasota Being an airport hotel is not an exception, especially when there’s another newer Hilton in the same parking lot

The hotel is very spacious with nice modern decor The restaurant and bar had good food and drinks but only to go because they have no servers The pool is large and great for families

The staff were very nice and customer service oriented They have some cleaning and repair issues The grout in bathroom was moldy, stain in bathtub, wallpaper peeling and stained, carpet had dark spot needing cleaning Shower curtain is loose from wall Furniture needs touch up where it’s scratched up They made error on final bill that I caught when I was home They corrected it and got the $10 refunded

Booked this place because it is pet friendly and my family and I were traveling with my small dog Our stay was OK, nothing extraordinary but we did not book any extraordinary rooms I like that they do have a pool available

Only thing that we did not like is the welcome We booked online 2 rooms and when we arrived for check in, the guy only gave us one key We then realized that we booked for 2 rooms, went back and asked He said that since we didn’t say anything he didn’t know But don’t these people have a computer screen in front of them with all information? Like we were already charged for both rooms, but if we don’t say anything we don’t get both keys? Also, he didn’t ask Very sarcastic tone was given For a one night stay its fine but will look for something else if its for longer
