Have had great experience staying there over many years, but this time we got a room that left a lot to be desired Several things in room 6 in disrepair About the size of a postage stamp

Rooms 1 and 2 are the best Have had great experience there previouslyThe restaurant always has great food and service

We stayed in the cottage which was clean and well appointed Staff were all most helpful Bar was relaxing

Breakfast and dinner service was excellent Ate each twice Food was superb! The menu changes seasonally See my pics Chef Salter puts a lot of care into his menu If we could’ve, we would’ve stayed more nights just to get through each item on the dinner menu Specials on our second night were rockfish, short ribs, and PEI moules Fabulous! Sticky toffy pudding and pavlova (Eaton mess) desserts my husband declared as authentic We loved the darkened pub side of the house Very English We’re looking forward to coming back soon and hopping on that ferry Thank you to everyone at Robert Morris Inn

For two years in a row I have visited the inn for a few days in May I chose to stay in a “cottage” room since stairs are difficult for me and the cottage rooms have only a few steps The room was spacious with a comfortable bed and a large window looking out on Tred Avon River and the ferry landing (Oxford-Bellevue Ferry

) I enjoyed watching the craft on the river and sunset over the water I took my meals in the Tavern dining area and thought the food was good and with sufficient variety Desserts include sticky toffee pudding and Smith Island multi-layered cake One evening I had the roasted chicken breast with vegetables and thought the sauce was delicious It even made the brussels sprouts tasty and I usually don’t like brussels sprouts The day I left I stopped in Easton for lunch and realized I had left my opal ring in the cottage I called the inn, the office manager found my ring and held it in the office until I finished lunch and returned to get it She refused any reward Thanks to all the staff for a very pleasant stay (A friend who lives near Annapolis joined me for lunch one day Dining outside on the verandah is also an option)

As we’ve come to expect, the room was spotlessly clean, the bed not too hard and not too soft, the employees are friendly, and the hot breakfast is pretty good considering it’s free I don’t expect the latest dĆ©cor or fancy extras for $120, the exercise room is modern and super clean, and the pool (which we didn’t use) looked spotless as wellBeing an IHG card holder we also got a bunch of bonus points and a little extra gift of snacks at check in

IHG has become our go-to when there’s not an II-affiliated resort or intriguing B&B near our destinations

Very clean room, but the freshener was a bit overdone Just too much The dining area was pretty and clean

First day, breakfast selections were plentiful and prepared just right Second day, a different girl appeared to be struggling Cinnamon buns cold, orange juice was nothing but water, bacon was completely out, coffee was weak Good location Parking lot exits in rear of hotel connect to nearby restaurants and allow main road access at a light to avoid having to drive a lengthy way down the road for a turnaround to go the other direction

Stayed here for a clergy retreat in March, so I didn’t get the full effect of a summer resort, but it was still a lovely place Very nice and comfortable room with lots of little extras Meeting spaces were pleasant, spacious, and comfortable

Food was very good Decor throughout, outdoor facilities, and views were all pleasing Staff were pleasant and helpful The building is quite large, so be ready to do some hiking from one end to the other I was aware of the class separation of the place and the advantages one must have to stay at such a place I’m grateful for the subsidized prices we got for this retreat and for a bit of luxury and pampering my career doesn’t often afford, but I wonder if it was a little too posh

First of, Iā€™d like to say that this resort will hold a special spot in my heart because itā€™s the first trip that my baby boy went on, and he had a great time! What I LOVE:- beautiful pools and fun water slide- so much to do: mini golf, arcade, pool, water sports, etc you donā€™t need to leave the resort at all!- food is great and good variety at different restaurant- amazing reviews of the Chesapeake bay, we even saw several dolphins (we visited during Memorial Day weekend)- the spa is absolutely FIVE STAR, I had the best facial in my life here, the products they used were so refreshing, the lounge was relaxing, changing room was spacious and cleanThings to improve:- the room feels crammed to me and furniture (including the crib) look outdated, for the $300-400+ price per night Iā€™m expecting a better room- indoor pool wasnā€™t super clean and had multiple bug/fly bodies (there were so many flies and bugs during that time and the indoor pool has all windows and doors open)Will definitely come back when the rooms/facility are renovated! Overall, a very relaxing and satisfying experience for us

Good but could be great The property is beautiful and picturesque on the water The staff was EXCELLENT!! Everyone (for the most part) went out their way for guests

But the whole hotel needs a refresh/power wash The windows in the restaurants need washing inside and out along the trim and doors The rooms were oddly decorated but thatā€™s a matter of taste The grout in the shower and floor could stand a good scrubbing The fitness center was missing several weights and they need to replace some of the worn out balls and bars etc I didnā€™t go to the pool, in part because the chlorine smell was so strong I could smell in halfway down the hallway before the double doors to get to the top floor of the pool All that said, I enjoyed myself and will go back

My family stayed at Saddle Beach in early June 2021 It was WONDERFUL!! We had four generations on this much-needed vacation We thoroughly enjoyed the property and all it provided – swimming daily in the pool, fishing and crabbing off the dock, S’mores around the fire pit, exploring wildlife in the pond

Not to mention the magnificent house! So spacious and comfortable and clean All the extras, like the second refrigerator on the porch, were very appreciated Jon was easily accessible and genuinely seemed pleased to share his house with us The local caretakers did a great job with the pool, house and groundsWe took a day trip to Ocean City and spent an afternoon in Cambridge Emily’s Produce quickly became a daily outingWe HIGHLY RECOMMEND Saddle Beach! We can’t wait to go back!

We needed a getaway – three families of brothers and sisters and our kids, 8 adults and 7 kids in all! This is an outstanding home, property, owner, and a great place to reconnect and rejuvenate The house is amazing; it’s three floors, which was great because the kids had an area to call their own The first floor has beautiful reclaimed antique walnut floors throughout and unbelievable views of the bay

Ā There is a screened-in outdoor eating area with ample seating and a large wood kitchen table which we loved and used often Ā The main floor is spacious and nicely finished with french doors and lots of wood trim Each room offers cozy entertaining areas with many chairs and sofas to lounge in or read a book We especially liked that there was also plenty of opportunity for privacy, including an office, which made it very amenable for those of us who needed to work while away The outdoor area is well planned, as there are lounge chairs by the pool, a beautiful wood deck with seating overlooking the pond, and a long dock leading out to the bay where we enjoyed incredible sunsets Ā  Jon has kayaks and canoes and the kids loved chicken-necking for crabs off the dock Ā We enjoyed using the bikes (provided for us) and it appreciated that the street it’s on is two miles long and private so even the little ones could ride safely! Ā Everything about our stay was amazing; Jon had great recommendations for things to do in the area and was an amazing host Ā I can honestly say everyone was SO happy with our choice Ā We highly recommend Saddle Beach and we look forward to coming back again soon!

We stay at Saddle Beach from July 17-24 We cannot say enough positive things about our experience and the property We had 8 adults and 4 children staying in the house and everyone had plenty of space

The kitchen table is huge and can accommodate a large group The kitchen is fully stocked with pots, pans, dishes and cups The duel stoves, 2 microwaves and the second refrigerator in the screened porch area really makes cooking and storing food excellent and easyThere are plenty of bathrooms and a closet full of towels and face-clothes! The pool was spectacular and the automatic pool cleaner worked tirelessly and kept it wonderfully clean The pool is in the sun for most of the day, so it was kept at a very comfortable temperature Our kids loved the dock and spend most of the week out there fishing and crabbing There were plenty of fishing rod holders to keep the rods in place We rented a boat from nearby and tied it to the dock overnight with no problems Of note, the water around the dock is swallow, only about 2-3 feet at low tide We all used the kayaks, canoes and we used the bikes for a day as wellI read reviews about the bugs being a concern, however Jon does have the property treated and it was treated while we were there and it really kept the mosquitoes and biting flies at bay The fans on the porch/patio helped with this as wellJon is the most welcoming host He was good to inform us about anyone that would be by if something around the house needed to be addressed and also helpful and informative of things to do and the surrounding area I highly recommend a stay at his property!

A few weekends ago my spouse and I ventured to popes tavern To start we were a little early for our reservations but they didn’t mind That sat us at our table and offered us beverages

So nice Next I gotta say that the staff which by the way seemed like they were all family were so nice and polite Our waiter who was the owners son was great Now to the food I got one word WOW! Delicious! My spouse who has been to Italy just raved about the food And if you enjoy beverages try the lemon cello for dessert It won’t disappoint I had a great time here and I will be back and I’m bringing friends! I gotta add the quiet and relaxing atmosphere here is off the charts!! Thank you everyone at popes tavern Job well done!
