This is probably the best place I have stayed in my entire life They have the nicest staff!! They treat you like family from the walk in They are clean and are always cleaning!! And the food at the crossing is what makes this place perfect!! We will be back and will be telling the world about our stay here!! John and Andrew were the best front desk assistants in the world!! Promote them, I am sure they have impacted a lot of families lives as they did mine this weekend!! Wonderful team and staff! Thank you!!

Restaurant was great and staff terrific Beds were comfy Need a comfy chair in rooms

Jon at front desk was the best!! During our Open Salt Convention buffet lunch Saturday, a lady mentioned there were no glasses and the waitress said ” someone already told me”I asked her later if there was any diet soda and her response was: “I’m busy”unfortunately these things are are remembered and talked about During our banquet which was delicious, the wait staff was phenomenalFun and efficient!

What a horrible experience Dirty floors, trash from prior guests, hair and soap in the showers from prior guests as well They refused to clean the rooms, no housekeeping during our three night stay even though we asked for assistance with dirty rooms

I don’t pay this much money for this kind of experience When we ask for help, the front desk girls rolled their eyes and huffed and puffed Other families were complaining of dirty rooms too during our stay We will never come back here Corporate has been notified as well to look into this property Oh, and when I asked for the general manager’s info, I was denied and given the front desk manager If you have a staffing issue and you can’t keep the rooms clean, then close down the business or have the management get more involved

Rooms are filthy… had to buy Clorox wipes to remove “unknown” stains from all the furniture

The weed smell in the hall was obnoxious Don’t bother with the breakfast it’s was not good $10 for parking one car in the hotel parking lot This place is a warehouse district parking isn’t a problem… They are pet friendly and the 2 bedroom had a gas fire place Find someplace that tries harder

My adult daughter and I had to make a trip for medical reasons We were there a couple weeks Taylor, Felicia, Michael, and Ryan, truly made this a home away from home

Taylor was exceptional; Michael really went out of his way for us; Felicia continually assisted and supported us with a warm smile Ryan, he runs a tight ship with a wonderful balance of humanistic qualities, care, professionalism, and really appears to be good to his staff We return in just for over a week for another lengthy medical stay Our new home away from home!

The room was fairly clean, but felt pretty dated Didn’t smell too bad in my room, but the rest of the hotel in the lobby and stuff smelled moldyIt also seems crazy to make you pay extra for parking for stays under 4 nights

The staff at this Marriott was exceptional! As a well seasoned traveler (3 million plus miles in the air and years of hotel nights) I notice attitudes and moods of employees From the front desk staff to the housekeeping, maintenance and restaurant crews, this group worked like a well oiled machine Everyone greeted me with a smile, went out of their way to chat and check on my stay, and otherwise made me feel at home

Kudos to the management staff who have clearly instilled a positive culture among the employees, who always were busy with some task, but never so engrossed that they couldn’t check on our experience Food was excellent as well! Well done!

Josh

If you like hanging by the pool this is a great place We spent most of our time there Our 3 boys (6,4,2) loved it

Rooms are ok, nothing special Gym is pretty disappointing Didn’t get anything from the restaurant If they spent a couple hundred on the gym it would go from a 3 to an 8 Need an Olympic bar 2 more 45 lb plates, new attachments for the cable machine and dumbbells that go up to 90 lbs

Sangeeta Gupte

Hotel is clean and great location Staff at breakfast lounge was very courteous However staff at front desk was very rude

When requested for late check out they rudely said that it can be extended to 1 pm but you need to call in the morning When I came to room, I could not log into WiFi when I added room number and last name When I called front desk, instead of helping, they asked me do you know what is the last name??? When called in the morning, rudely indicated that they can’t allow late check out as they are busy They could have said this in better tone They definitely need training or need to replace them I am a Bonvoy member for long time and have respectable status (platinum) I do not expect this kind of service from Marriott brand hotel I will not stay in this hotel due to ‘BAD’ ‘UNACCEPTABLE’ front desk service

I can’t even say how our stay was because we couldn’t even get thru the check in without issues Was greeted by a rather curt employee who spent more time telling us what we couldn’t do than what we could We rented three rooms

Got in at 11:00 pm and after being told you absolutely COULD NOT smoke on the property when we got to the first room it smelled so bad of smoke we couldn’t even stay in it We were told no other rooms available and asked if we wanted a refund Well since there were six of us that wasn’t very helpful Quickly booked a room at the Hilton Providence and got out Definitely will not plan to stay at an Extended Stay America any time soon!

Thank you to Cheryl and Dorothy for all the help in making my stay special The handicap room was wonderful You both went above and beyond to help me out

Again I thank you Also wanted to thank Becky Wonderful people that work their magic so everything is goodHighly recommend Extended Stay in East Providence, Rhode Island

Lana Inacio

I am so incredibly disappointed I arrived at the hotel around 10:30pm & was told that they were overbooked & therefore didn’t have enough rooms I was with my minor daughter (traveled for 6 hours) & was told I had to wait a half hour for housekeeper to come in to prepare the room

Needless to say I was tired & frustrated Then I asked why didn’t anyone attempt to call me (I would’ve looked for another hotel or tried to change my plans) They claimed that they tried several times I showed them my phone there were no calls or emails! The unprofessional front desk person started to cry hysterically several times – are you kidding me I’m the one who should be crying Btw the room stinks of cigarettes! Run do not book this dump!PS This is my first negative review on anything!

My son had to have surgery in Providence He is a student athlete at Brown, so I needed to stay in Providence with him for a couple of days for his recoveryI arrived an hour earlier than check in

Ricardo was very welcoming and checked me in, but was unable to get me into my room yet He phoned me as soon as the room was ready He asked to pray for my son’s surgery and recovery Very niceWhen I needed to extend my stay, I inquired with management if I was able to continue in the same room, as to not have to move my son They were able to rearrange reservations so that he could remain comfortable I greatly appreciate the lengths that they went to make our stay stress freeThe fire alarm going off at 2am, and my son having to navigate the stairwell full of guests, from 6 floors up was inconvenient Then stand outside on crutches for 25 minutes However, we understood this was out of their control – but wasn’t even addressed at check out?Pretty location overlooking harbor Close to restaurants and Brown University We did not utilize the hotel restaurant

Joey Frechin

Views from the lounge are really nice Rideshare doesn’t necessarily know where to pickup with the gates blocking the path to the check-in drive, so just put your pin out closer to the road The fitness center is pretty lacking – one of the treadmills was broken, no sanitizing wipes, and no water inside

Room itself was good Kitchen is really convenient for breakfast, though one day my potatoes were pretty heavily seasoned and I couldn’t eat them Overall good hotel option

Michelle Osipowicz

The front end evening staff (Ricardo) as well as the bartender Lilly are wonderful! Room was clean cut could definitely use more lighting That goes for the hallway to to rooms also- felt dark One complaint I have which is really not that big of a deal is the music or Muzak they play in the lobby area… it can drive you insane

It’s very psychotic lol Also breakfast during the week be open past 9am for those who work late and sleep in a bit

We stayed at this hotel for a Cheer Competition in RI just this past weekend in April Originally the competition was supposed to be in January, but a blizzard cancelled the competition This hotel was calling everyone that was booked through the cheer company to make sure they wanted to keep the reservation in the days leading up to the competition

Unfortunately we had to keep it at that time since they weren’t planning on cancelling When it finally got cancelled, they made it extremely easy to just cancel with only a few hours notice I knew that when we were rescheduled we needed to still support them I am so glad we did The facilities were clean, well maintained The pool was a great size & kept the kids busy Hotel staff was very accommodating, even opening up breakfast a little earlier than normal on the weekend due to the early morning compete times We will definitely be booking this hotel for every Providence competition we go to next year It was easy on and off the highway in both directions & less than 10 minute drive

Julia Garcia

Well this stay was beautiful The staff was friendly and room was beautiful and the service of room was very helpful and on point as well and the pool was perfect Gym, laundry room (you’ll need quarter’s), beautiful paths to walk around the hotel

Good vending machines, breakfast was good I stayed in a handicapped room due to that I was late asking for a room But it still was beautiful I have one suggestion though The shower head holders in the handicapped room need to be replaced with something a bit more easier cause I have carpal tunnel and it took me awhile to figure out how to tighten the holder for the shower head But I was successful The hotel has easy access to the highway, Entertainment things, gas stations, walmart, food Beautiful spot for a family get away

Stayed a weekend for a summer bridge tournament with my friends… it was a GREAT stay at a GREAT price (perfect for college students!) Alina was very warm and eager to reach out to help with booking The hostel both feels very safe and is centrally located, on a street with a bunch of stores/restaurants

There was a nice community board with tons of local food and activity suggestions The other guests were all very friendly, and there is always a sense of privacy if you want it The only inconvenience for me was not having central AC—not great since there was a heat wave at the time—but not the worst if you don’t mind the window unit noiseOverall, if want a pleasant stay with the opportunity to meet tons of new people, this is the place to go I will be back next time I’m in Providence!

Jason Lewis

Having stayed at this hostel, the best way I can describe it is: “Only stay here if you can’t afford an AirBnB”I am curious why there are so many 5 out of 5 reviews – seems iffy to meThe things I didn’t like about staying here:1 It is expensive for what you get

2 The area is sketchy and feels unsafe3 The parking situation is weird, even if you have one of their parking passes The streets are very narrow, there aren’t many parking spots available, and you can tell that the locals don’t want you parking in front of their house I ended up parking on the main street and hoping my windows weren’t smashed in4 The hostel is not clean5 The people who are staying at the hostel appear to be locals who are originally from Latin America Not a problem, but don’t expect to be meeting other travelers

Went here for Valentines Day and could not have been more impressed with the food and service Our waitress Tara was amazing and made this night so special Due to Covid my husband and I haven’t been out for sometime as he had cancer 2 years ago and he felt very compromised

Your spacious setting and attention to detail couldn’t have made him feel more comfortable Thank you for a wonderful evening 💕

A. Makela

The entire place is historic and beautiful! Fantastic serving staff – detail oriented and excellent experience and coordination by the kitchen – I have the highest accolades for Leandra – a phenomenal professional who quite literally, handled a party of over 16 demanding people in an eloquent and courteous manner – never losing her cool – not once!!! I enjoyed the fried goat cheese on spinach salad with the filet as the main and carrot cake for dessert I ordered medium plus and it was literally cooked to perfection Each meal course was delicious! I am so impressed with the entire experience and will return again!

Patricia Paulo

Made reservations for 5 pm on Sunday evening We were told they were closing early (7pm) for vacation Call came at 4:20 pm Sunday cancelling our reservation

Very disappointed!! Thought this was a better restaurant that we have enjoyed over the years This was classlessTo follow up; spoke with Kim and explained why we were so upset She apologized and sent us a generous gift card We couldn’t spend our anniversary at Blackinton but we will certainly enjoy another visit here Thank you again

Nice hotel Great location Pretty view of the river

Wonderful staffComplimentary breakfast okay but eggs were cold and not very goodAlso, they will not allow you to park your car in their garagethe valet has to do it So, you are stuck paying $2800 a day plus tips That is pretty high I have stayed at several other Homewood Suites and parking was FREESo, good for a get- away weekend but if I needed to stay in the area for a longer period, would find another hotel where parking is free or less

Ruta

Great stay !!The location is right in the downtown, cross the street and you come to the Providence waterfront It is conveniently located in the downtown with walking distance to the train station and bus stops (near Burnside Park)The room service is great, the staff is friendly and helpful

The breakfast is decentThe only issue is the parking, there is good valet service But I prefer, parking my car and taking it out at my ease rather than texting the valet and asking them to get itNo complaints on the valet service though, just my personal preference

Nancy Boyle

Although the hallway smelled funky (a combination of stale smoke, garbage, and air freshener) the room itself was clean, spacious, and comfortable with no odor It had a kitchen and full sized refrigerator with automatic ice maker Nice not to have to leave the room for ice

It’s close to the airport The hot breakfast included pre-made omelets, sausage, cereals, make your own waffles, and other miscellaneous items typical at these free hotel breakfasts I’d stay here again especially if I was on a long stay

I have been waiting to write this review for over 10 months! My husband and I had a hotel block for our wedding on 5/20, and Staci Johnson is the best person we had the pleasure of working with to ensure our hotel block and wedding arrangements were all set (manager of hotel) Staci is the definition of amazing hospitality! From the minute we contacted the hotel she was attentive and always willing to help! She made sure our hotel block could check in early, that our welcome bags were being given out and helped coordinate our after party activities/pizza We are so happy to have met such an amazing person with a great heart

Staci goes out of her way to make sure her guests are happy and comfortable Ben and I are excited to visit Sonesta Foxborough post renovation to see the great work Staci is leading It is hard to find employees like Staci who go ABOVE AND BEYOND to ensure the guests feel like their big day is in great handsWe also LOVED Britany in the front desk, who greeted us and all of guests with a big smile and a warm welcome!THANK YOU Sonesta Foxborough (main shoutout to Staci) for helping my husband and I have the best hotel wedding logistics – we love you!G+B

We were told there was a working fitness room when we checked in There was a paper on the desk in the room that indicated it was ok to use It was being renovated

They also put a large hold on your debit card I stayed there in the beginning of July and still haven’t received the $100 hold they put on my card They said it can take up to 30 business days if you used a debit card, which was not told to me ahead of time The day of checkout, the front desk staff said I would receive the $100 immediately, which was incorrect Also, the place was a construction zone all over and we weren’t told this was going to be the case upon arrival Never staying here again

John Keefe

Would have been great to know that the lobby, the workout room, the pool, and every single thing other than the rooms were closed for maintenance Not to mention even the hallways were somewhat still under construction Didn’t have a walkout patio either cause I guess that’s another part of the construction

Went to go see what they meant by having breakfast there and the lady at the desk offered me a shelf of cereal boxes I could buy And the TV screen in my room that i was expecting to use for work doesn’t even turn on And for some reason you need to spend 10 minutes signing up for an account where you enter your personal info including your address and stuff and then go confirm your email just to get into their wifi (unless you have cellular data you cant even confirm your email) And the walls in the bathroom look like they’re falling apart and have black spots on them (idk what they would be, maybe deferred maintenance from moisture damage?)I mean, cmon man Seriously?

We stayed here with a block of rooms for our wedding The hotel is beautiful and conveniently located, but the service fell well below expectations, the hotel is showing its age, and it is seems to be poorly managed My wife’s family was treated poorly several times and it felt racially-motivated when compared to how my family was treated

My wife was asked by hotel staff to help clean one of her family’s rooms even as she clearly wore part of her bridal outfit My family was immediately and politely given an extra hour for checking out of our rooms, while my father-in-law was told he would need to speak to the manager to approve the same request, even when he mentioned that they were part of the wedding family The manager never called him back In addition, no one explained the very complicated parking situation to him even when he asked, resulting in a much higher bill that the hotel refused to address; meanwhile, my parking bill issue was resolved immediatelyThe hotel had mistakes on my parents’ bill and on my bill, so check carefully They moved my brother to a suite because of a broken, leaky AC in the original room, and then tried to charge us the higher rate without saying anything AC did not work well in many of the other rooms, including the bridal suite, and none of our showers drained properlyConsider using the hotel bar for the views of the breathtaking lobby but it’s probably worth staying elsewhereUpdate: the manager eventually called back and resolved the parking situation with my father-in-law while offering some credit While appreciated, the frustration remains

The bathroom was extremely small Certainly no room for 2 people and no room to put toiletries anywhere except maybe on top of the toilet We had a 2 room suite that was very nice

However, as my wife and I were talking at around midnight, we did get a few knocks on the wall from the people next door Must’ve been thin walls There was no valet parking but a parking garage a block away Nobody met us outside to assist with the bags The front desk was nice and told me where to park and when I walk back to get the parking receipt validated I noticed a sign at the garage with a max parking price of $25 As it turned out, I was charged $3560 for parking by the hotel Now that was pretty sleazy considering there was no valet service My cousin who joined us in another car paid the next day at the garage and was charged $19 for the same amount of timeBottom line, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel There are other very good hotels nearby

al lee

Shocked this hotel is so highly rated Maybe the history of the building has covered guests’ eyes with rose-tinted glasses, but this hotel should not be rated a three star hotel, let alone a four star hotel My heart sank a little bit as soon as I entered the hotel as the staff couldn’t find my reservation

They later found it (and charged me twice for it), and things only got worse The bathroom was very dirty (please do yourself a favor and don’t rub any of the surfaces with a tissue), and the AC only worked sporadically throughout the nightThere was an unfortunate incident where a lady screamed racist statements in the elevator and meaningfully stared at my room’s number I spoke to the front office hoping to get some action taken, but I received encouragement to try to find the lady’s room number The last thing I wanted to do was confront some clearly unhinged woman going on racist tirades I was hoping to at least get moved to a different floor so I didn’t have to worry about this lady, but I guess management thought this was just another casual event Speaks volumes about how you will be treated if something goes wrong! If this was the Hilton or Marriott I would guarantee they would do their best to make sure you felt safe and supportedAs far as the pros Their shampoo/conditioner is actually pretty nice and I loved that the TVs are adjustable I also definitely appreciated the historic nature of the building and the overall architecture, but I’d do yourself a favor and step into the hotel lobby, admire the view, and book yourself a different hotel

It was great! Will definitely be back next time I’m in the area SUPER friendly staff, breakfast was everything you can imagine and then some, and we really appreciated that it lasted until 10am Pool was nice and well maintained

The bed was comfy, room clean The only very minor thing was the AC was loud and made noises I’ve never heard an AC make before But it didn’t bother us

My Stay was amazing my husband and I got a room and the front desk staff on that night were two young ladies who were beyond helpful~ I cant express how amazing they worked as a team checking us in as there were a few of us to check in at once The next morning I went down to ask about Breakfast the girls were still there working and they had informed me there wasn’t breakfast until they officially turn to the Best Western which would be in a few weeks Paige & Rubia were so sweet and kind, I will defiantly be back just to say hi to them next time I’m in the area!!!

Ruby went above and Beyond shoving her customers! When we checked in she was very polite, professional, and friendly We’re not from here so we were looking for a place to eat and she let us know where we could get some dinner and have us pamphlets on where to order We had an issue with the shower not working which she promptly got to work on calling maintenance to fix and the issue and her boss with a suggestion

None of this was her fault but I can say she went above and Beyond and gave us a bigger room for myself and my family This was a perfect example of great customer service! Thank you Ruby for being a true professional! I wish I could have given her 10 stars because she truly deserves it! Thank you! Management should look at how hard she works and her great work she does!

Nice clean hotel Located in a very nice place in downtown with many food and art and craft establishments aroundThe lobby is filled with antiques and is decorated well

The rooms in the second building are a little hard to get to and you have to go though a maze of a walkway to get to the elevatorThe hotel staff is nice and accommodating, we arrived at the hotel around 11:30 AM when the check in was scheduled after 4 PM and were hoping that we had to leave our luggage with the bell boys and come later for check-in but the hotel staff made a clean room available for us right away and checked ✔️ us in without any waitBravo good customer service

We stayed here for the weekend for a wedding The hotel, amenities and event spaces were great and the room itself had everything we neededThe real 5 stars goes to Molly who is part of the staff here

She went above and beyond in helping for any of our needs and was always nearby to assist and was also quick to provide recommendations for things in the area She absolutely crushed it when it came to hospitality during our visit!

You can put lipstick on a pig but it’s still a pig… it looks so nice, I’ll give them that But man, this place was awful My husband and I are traveling with military orders with our dogs

this place is *pet friendly* we were placed on a pet floor with other pet guests but we’re given a notice of our dogs barking by guests that were not staying with pets due to overbooking We were also down graded to a smaller room due to that, but still charged a higher rate while having a compt drink at the bar (only good thing, with good service) we spoke to another guest who also had a horrible stay here Again, if aesthetics is all you’re looking for then you’ll find it here nothing else I will never be the one who criticizes the middle manaka the desk clerk this is something higher management needs to address

The room was spacious but there we so many problems especially for the expense1 The pool was temporarily closed for maintenance but has been for a while and they don’t know when it will reopen

That would have been good to know before booking2 They are stingy with towels We had 6 people in a room and it was like pulling teeth to have more than 4 towels3 It was not very clean The tub had a lot of mildew around the bathmat inside the tub so you can tell when they clean that they don’t lift it up and just clean around it We found several items belonging to previous guests4 They have built in shampoo conditioner and body wash dispensers I accidentally knocked one off the wall and there we tons of ants dead thought out the shampoo GrossI did try to communicate some of the issues to the front desk but they just act surprised and say they’ll send someone up, but didn’tI would avoid this place for a short term stay

Pillow case had blood stain on it Request extra towels to be brought to room due to dirty ones, front desk refused to bring it to the room Random people walking around the area, pretty shady

Seems to have a lot of long term residents You get handed a piece of paper with “mom-like” rules on it, stating no parties allowed, and this is the one and only warningno noise after 10pm but yet there’s banging and yelling (we came mid week) The showers temperature doesn’t stay consistentAT ALL Piping hot to ice cold Toilet was rocking when sat on, thought we were going to fall off The list goes onThey don’t turn rooms over daily unless requested (weird) also if you stay 7 days or more they’ll turn the room over once a week Againweird coffee maker was also totally filthy and found bugs walking around the bathroomWe are from the state and recently moved away, came back for a few days and was not impressed at allGood location due to next to car rental garage

Joydeep Paul

I did not expect such a wonderful experience staying here Although I stayed overnight but I would ideally stay here for a week or more the studio apartment was great and very well maintained clean room with great amenities Especially the fully stocked kitchen with pots pans etc

The location is fantastic and everything is within reach from grocery to great restaurants I will definitely return to stay here

Made a reservation but unfortunately, we were not able to make it as I was really unwell, tested positive for COVID-19 and could not drive up there Even with multiple requests on providing credit or refund or a booking for another date they dint consider it, rather told us to talk to hotelscom who was the mid vendor through whom we booked

On talking to hotelscom they mentioned the manager of the hotel is not willing to accommodate the request and therefore they are helpless They kept me on hold multiple times to negotiate with the manager but the manager would not agree At this point, it looked as if they would rather have us come in sick and affect other individuals staying there than reconsider the accommodation request A very bad experience in having to deal with all these nuances on top of having health issues

I stayed here for one night while up in Rhode Island and had no problems at all, easy and quick check-in when I arrived at midnight with a very friendly staff member The room was clean, A/C worked just fine, and was just what I needed out of a hotel I was just sleeping in and then leaving early in the morning Check-out was super quick and easy as well!

I will start with a positive The hotel is right off I95 Breakfast was surprisingly decent for a hotel buffet set up

On the downside, this place is in a very rough part of time As a New Yorker I have high tolerance for rough neighborhoods so please take my word for it A run to a local store for water had us facing drug addicts and a general sense of uneaseWhen we checked in around 10 pm we were warmly greeted by Jessica at the front desk Apparently, she was only person working the desk and was overwhelmed We jammed ourselves into the tiny elevator and went to our room on the 4th floor It looked tidy but on further inspection the bedding was absolutely disgusting The top blankets were stained and the mattress cover on one bed was badly stained with body fluids and hairAt first we just asked for new sheets but Jessica advised the housekeeping staff had left for the night and she had no access to the linen closet She offered another room on the same floor, which was cleaner but there was “stuff” in the toiletDespite the rough start, we did have a good night’s sleepI must mention that Ed, a gentleman who served breakfast, was very patient and respectful Still, I would not go back

This is the first Hampton Inn to get 5 stars, and I love Hampton Inn First, this is the first one with wheelchair ramps from parking to the first floor huge plus! There are 2 elevators on one section and one on another section! The rooms are spacious with many USB and outlets for charging! The rooms are bright and clean! There is a fitness center, pool, and meeting room There is a convenience store and the breakfast has abundant options, your regular items, plus turkey sausage and Nutella spread

I was very impressed with this location and hope to be back soon

They charged my wife a cleaning fee for rose petals I put for mothers day and tried to put us in a dirty room when we first arrived knowing she had diamond status $25000 fee like how? I do not recommend you stay at this hotel to nobodyall this because we didn’t leave a tip this hotel is also very dangerous and filled with homeless people begging for money in the hallways
