My husband had surgery at the Columbia Presbyterian Hospital which is within walking distance of the hotel We both are so happy that we stayed at the Edge Hotel While my husband was in the hospital and also while we stayed at the Hotel during his recovery, the staff at the Edge Hotel were wonderful! They are all caring and meet your needs as best as they can

They are so helpful, I can’t say enough about them The room we were in was comfortable and clean If you have a loved one that needs to be in Columbia Presbyterian Hospital, and you need a place to stay, stay at the Edge Hotel We were so grateful that we found this hotel Staying here helped a very over whelming situation easier to go through I am not a fast walker, and it took me less than 10 minutes to get to the hospital There are many places in the area to get food, either within walking distance or by delivery There is also a couple of pharmacy’s near by The front desk staff, the cleaning staff and maintenance were all wonderful to us The price is reasonable too! They also give you a $5 breakfast voucher for a near by Bagel shop We highly recommend this hotel and we would definitely stay at the Edge hotel again

I stayed here while in town for my sister’s college graduation Dealing with delayed/cancelled flights and having to check in a day late and after normal check in time, Luis and his staff remained professional and kind I stayed there alone and felt safe

The room had a great view and was clean and adorable Everytime I stepped into the lobby I was met with a smile and a greeting from every single employee I encountered Will definitely be staying here again!

Glenda Hahn

Finally hot water appeared on 4/5/22 Staff was courteous and very friendly We received credit for missing hot water

Luis, at the front desk, was very polite, professional, and helpfulWe’ll definitely stay at the Edge the next time we are in ManhattanMike’s Bagels is the best place in Manhattan for bagels

We’ve stayed at the beacon several times It’s a nice property and very convenient to the subway station at 72 Great restaurants nearby Fairways grocery across the street

The corner cafe Viand is jewel and a great choice for breakfast While the hotel isn’t as fresh as it could be, it is clean, comfortable and has a great bed Staff was very accommodating Highly recommended!

Katie

If you’re seeing a show at the Beacon Theater this hotel is extremely convenient The hotel was nice Easy location on Broadway

Nice area The kitchen area was convenient The issues we had that brought my rating down were we did see a few small Roaches (which I am not entirely freaked out by given its the city) and secondly the bath and sinks drained extremely slowly The shower drain was quite frustrating since we had to stand in the water while showering Otherwise the room itself was clean and comfortable

Liz Mahoney

Everything was perfect, the concierge Micheal is a credit to your hotel – he was outstanding and went above and beyond for us especially on the day we got married Jennifer and Catherine are absolute angels, always pleasant and thoughtful asking if anything else was neededAll the staff were amazing including Housekeeping who did an exceptional daily service

Highly recommend this hotel to all – looking forward to visiting again xx ❤️

Make sure to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏᴄᴏm when booking any hotel This web site will compare hundreds of hotel sites and normally will have rooms much cheaper than others! Thank me later on! This resort is one of the most well known in this area

I’ve been staying here for a long time If you decide to stay here you for sure will love it I’m sure!Such an amazing experience Me and my friends stayed here over the weekend for my birthday because we wanted to visit NYC The entire staff was incredible, and the young woman that was working at the cafe made our coffees perfectly The food was incredible as well Not to mention the bus stop to go into NYC was only a couple minutes away on foot! I can’t wait to stay here again!!!

H Wilkes

First let me say that the rooms were nice, clean They leave you a disinfectant wipe to clean what you might want to like say the remote, etc I would stay here again if visiting Edgewater

BUT, what is up with the water pressure in the shower??? It is non-existent!!!! Such a nice big shower and no water pressure!! I washed my hair and instantly regretted it as I could not get all the shampoo/conditioner rinsed out of my hair They need to do better!!Also, another thingthe mattress we had has definitely seen some action It has seen better days and needs to be replaced At first you think, oh how comfortable but quickly found out that my husband and I cuddled every night whether we wanted to or not, as we sunk to the middleAnd my husband and I only stayed 2 nights The hotel is in a nice area, stores, restaurants close by A police station literally right there Nice walkway along the water with a beautiful view of the city, Manhattan Ferries to the city not far Just SO disappointing that I could not enjoy a nice shower and get a better nights sleep

Monica Green

My experience was terrible I’ve been a Marriott member since 2010 when I traveled heavily for work This was the worst Marriott I’ve ever stayed at

The shower was dirty, the bathroom sink clogged and would fill with water I asked for more towels and wash clothes and only received towels In the morning my phone was ringing at 6:30am, but stopped Then an hour or so later housekeeping was knocking on the door I politely answered we weren’t requiring a cleaning They STILL tried to get in the room Luckily I had the stop lock on Around 10:30 they started knocking again!!! I opened the door and said I was not checked out yet! I then received a phone call in the room saying they thought I was checked out I kindly but frustratingly explained check out was not until 12pm and I was still getting dressed! I complained to the manager at the front desk at checkout and was offered 3,000 rewards He was very kind and listened to my concerns I was happy with the 3,000 rewards and felt valued and heard However, I NEVER received the rewards points Hence, writing this review I will never stay at this Marriott again!

I didn’t know what to expect after I booked this last minute when airbnb cancelled my account and reservation It is kind of an odd place, but in a good way It is very different compared to your typical hotel room and that’s what makes it interesting

Plus there is Whole foods is right across the street! The host’s were fantastic and helpful It is very convenient to the train in a diverse neighborhood I would definitely stay here again

Bossettes Management

I recently stayed 2 nights at this BEAUTIFUL sophisticated hotel and was greeted by two of the most sweetest human beings I’ve ever crossed in this line of business (the owners), I felt safe and was really taken back at how beautiful the entry way all the way to how my room was My eyes just lit up! It was breath taking! This was my home away from home! The cleanliness from top to bottom made me feel like I was in heaven! The room was so cool and welcoming, the beautiful kitchen area, the bathroom, the space was just perfect! My first night asleep in the most comfortable bed I laid on in a while, had make waking up feeling rejuvenated and ready to take on New York! I will definitely be back and I will most definitely be recommending the International Cozy Inn to everyone I come in contact with! A beautiful hotel accompanied by two beautiful ladies who make sure all needs are met is where one should be each and every time they come to Harlem!

Violet Parrales

Worst space ever!! I was threatened and kicked out in the middle of the night when I was only staying with one other person as written on the receipt Was told 2 people could stay the night and i was lied to I was also told i was to pay a $80 cleaning fee that would be returned to me the next day which i never got back

Horrible, rude service never coming here again

The folks running the Belnord Hotel were friendly and accommodating The rooms are small, just large enough for the bed, two small night stands and one person to walk around it at a time The bathroom also small

But, your in NYC so it’s not a big deal Also, it was very clean The amenities included a rooftop outdoor area that was really nice Next to the outdoor rooftop area was a kitchen that included free coffee and tea and a snack machine Again not the Plaza but it was the least expensive hotel I could find in the area I wanted to be in, the Upper West Side near the park I would highly recommend this hotel so long as you understand what you get for your $$$

Nans Pad

This is my first time in New York and this hotel was closest to the things we wanted to do The hotel is a fair price and the staff is very nice, especially the cleaning ladies When we got there, they gave us a key to a room that was already occupied

After that they gave us a key to room that had no ac They ended up putting us in another room with great ac, close to the little cafe they have and their patio It was the best I would definitely stay there again

We had drinks and a meal at the bar The waiter was great and had our drinks and meal within a few minutes Yes, the meal and drinks were expensive, but I expect NYC to be more expensive than home The convenience of not having to leave the motel for a meal was worth it The room was clean and comfortable

My mother recently stayed here for 12 nights while my father was in the hospital nearby Despite being hesitant before her stay given mixed reviews, she had an amazing experienceShe loved the gym, the bed, and the shower

But above all else, it was the helpfulness of the staff that impressed her most The housekeeping staff was incredibly friendly each day In particular, one of the managers, Nick, went above and beyond to secure her room for the entirety of my dad’s time in the hospitalIt really warmed her to be reminded that there are still people in the service industry that genuinely care

Jeff Stanley

Was highly impressed with this hotel Great location with restaurants, shops, and grocery stores in a walkable distance Was greeted by friendly faces and great customer service the moment I checked in

The check in line was not long and I was waited on immediately for the check in process Once in my room, after check in, the phone rang about 20 minutes later It was management making sure that my check in was a pleasurable experience and if there was anything they could do not to hesitate to call To say I was sold on the customer service experience is an understatement I will make sure to stay at this location whenever I visit New York

Eva Spak

i stayed here with my family for a few days at the end of our vacation we were all tired of traveling after being away for a while, but the marriot crew treated us well we had booked 2 rooms, and they upgraded us to 2 connected rooms

the hotel was very organized the location was nice because it was close to a lot of popular tourist attractions in the city, but it wasn’t in a location that was super noisy we got both great bagels and good Italian food right nearby the hotel overall, id say it was a successful stay!

This place is truly a gem In a city full of endlessly blaring noise, my room was quiet on weekend nights and I slept like a baby in the comfortable bed The location is awesome, I enjoyed the Irving Farm coffee shop across the street and the many restaurants nearby as well as the short walk to Central Park

By far the best part was the friendly and helpful staff I would stay here again for sure!

Deidre Rodriguez-Ahumada

Absolutely loved this hotel! In walking distance of the subway, eateries, Central Park and entertainment The staff was very helpful with recommendations and service They took care of our room everyday (we stayed for a week) so we always came back to a clean room after a long day

The outside noise was kept out so we slept great! We will be back without a doubt

Ana Cruz

Our room was a great price considering we were staying in the Upper West Side We had a nice view and the room was big and clean The hotel is in a great central location with lots of restaurants and shops nearby, especially the Museum of Natural History being within walking distance! Only giving this 4 stars and not 5 because on our second to last day the AC wasn’t working properly, but other than that I would totally recommend this place!

First time in NYC and really enjoyed our stay here in February The lounge and bar areas in the lobby are very cozy and have a great atmosphere, and are decorated extremely well Outlets and computers are also available for use

Check in and out were quick and easy I would receive texts daily checking on our stay and asking if there was anything we needed We had fresh water and a blanket delivered to our room fairly quickly All appliances in the room worked fine Our room was a little chilly no matter what setting we had on, but the staff provided us with an extra blanket so it was fine If you play PokémonGO, we could reach 4 stops from our room and lots of great spawns, and many gyms around to remote into raids Great stay and would love to stay again! Only complaint is the added in resort fees when booking, I really don’t understand why they don’t just include it in their daily rates so it doesn’t feel like a cheap scam

J S

This is the greatest hotel I’ve stayed at in New York From arrival, Esther made sure all of our needs were met The tables outside the hotel were magical for coffee in the morning I sure do miss those tables

Very quiet very clean very nice hotel My wife and I were very inquisitive about areas and food in the neighborhood and the doorman Orlando was very professional and kind We will see you next year for sure Miss you guys already

Josh Boney

The stay was fantastic! Great location in Manhattan for quiet, safety, and access to NYC Older classic building with modern classy upgrades for a professional stay Bedroom w/bathroom was top notch

My favorite aspect of the room was the bed I slept like a baby compared to other nice hotels The bathroom also had high-quality upgraded features that I appreciated It may just be me, but my check-in process could have been better They have the 4-star communication down, but the process did not seem as smooth I would definitely stay here again, so overall 5-star review for me!

Ft Lee NJ Hyatt Place is a great hotel It’s new (writing this review in 2022) or at least is newly renovated – nice hotel inside and out

Clean facilities, great staff Overall 5 out of 5 stars What I liked: clean towels, clean rooms, clean hotel Decent breakfast although it could be changed up from day to day as eating the same menu every day can get old quickly Parking was easy easy access to the hotel from NJ rt 4What I didn’t like: There is a $10 / day parking charge – no reason for this – it should just be absorbed into the room fee

Chris Hasler

I return to this hotel whenever I visit New York The rooms are very spacious and comfortable You can relax in the rooms without having to sit on the bed

It is an affordable hotel, but has a luxurious feel due to its modern and spacious nature The room service is friendly and accommodating Special mention for Beatrice who is always competent and professional She remembered me from a previous visit and always took the time to acknowledge me

Arex S

Decided to stay here while visiting area on business and I am pleasantly surprise in how clean and spacious this hotel is The front desk team is super polite and welcoming My room is very comfortable and the bathroom including the shower is clean

There is plenty of parking but it comes at a cost of $10/nightThe lobby is very well done with lots of sitting area There is a restaurant on the main floor and it’s open till very late which is a big plus for those of us who work late and don’t want to venture out after a long dayThe hotel is perfectly located near the expressway leading to GW bridgeIf you decide to dine out I have noticed that many restaurants are located within a short 5 min drive

The location is a block away from central park and near subways to get you around the city The rooms were clean and comfortable and we got a great view of the city and Lincoln Center There were some issues with the elevators while we were there but we weren’t held up for too long

We were just sad that we couldn’t use the fitness center due to the unusually hot weather that caused them to close it temporarily Their rooftop is also incredible! Super friendly and efficient staff too!

We loved the complimentary water bottles, we went for them at the reception Downsides:The swimming pool is closedGym is closed

No restaurant for breakfast in the hotelThe rooftop closes at 11pm, except Fridays & Saturdays when it closes at 1am (staff confused the closing times, so we couldn’t enjoy the rooftop)The rooms are very old, but clean You can hear the noise from the hallway and the elevators, very thin walls in the roomThe room cleaning service is nice, reception as well :)Thank you, overall, for the experienceThe staff was nice, but we would never go back to this hotel – we chose it and paid this money due to the facilities and they were all closed Big disappointment

What a great stay The staff are all so wonderful! Only tiny misstep is the long line for breakfast (which is a bakery in the lobby) but we worked out quickly that you could use the coupons anytime until 430 so instead of breakfast we opted for snacks in the afternoon Our first room was incredibly small and not very well situated but the staff were very sweet and moved us to a high floor with a very big room! The location is wonderful

Sam Jones

Exceeds expectations for the price point with a phenomenal French bakery downstairs We were pleased with the room (two queens) and received great service from everyone we interacted with We had a member of the group in a wheelchair and the elevator was a rather tight squeeze but if it had been any bigger, they offered the service elevator

Great part of town – right on the 1 line and in close proximity to some solid restaurants Would stay here again!

Katie Mullen Plumb

Our room was clean and a decent size The bed was comfortable The bakery attached is delicious! I wasn’t amazed by the staff checking us in, but a huge reason for my five stars were the people behind the scenes

We had an engineer come fix our door, it wasn’t locking, he was wonderful The housekeeping staff was amazing and in my opinion went above and beyond They folded our pajamas and even moved around a little stuffed animal one of our children packed for us to have on our weekend away Location is great We would stay here again

We loved our rooms Having the kitchen island area to work instead of a desk was great and everything was really clean The location is great with a good view of NYC

On our last day in New Jersey we went to explore NYC We had asked the front desk if we needed to move our car or if the parking pass would still let us out They informed us the pass didn’t expire until the end of the day When we got back to our car and went to leave the card wouldn’t let us out and we had to pay $18 in addition to the $22 for parking we paid every day we were there It was a good stay but only about half of the front desk staff were great

Really great hotel! It made our stay in New York more relaxed and special Very clean and modern suite, and kitchen had all utensils necessary for cooking and eating, dishwasher was also there, and washing powder provided Personnel was also very friendly and helpful

New York city easy to reach by public transport, bus or ferry The view of New York was stunning

This hotel is so pretty It’s right by the water

the only thing is, they don’t have any rooms that are waterfront directly but you can definitely see the water from the side window The suite is so spacious and updated I love how it has a full kitchen and a huge refrigerator The woman at the front desk was very polite Parking is $22 in the garage that’s located right outside of the hotel Make sure you let the front desk person know that you will be going in & out so you can retrieve a parking pass for a one time fee It’s very close to NYC!! Complimentary breakfast… don’t expect a full meal It was breakfast sandwiches, cereal, quick meals Still good 🙂 the only thing is I wish they had a pool but it was still a great stay This will be my new go to hotel when I come into town Thank you Residence Inn!!!

Great accommodations and the staff we helpful and friendly Some of the other patrons caused some issues in the lobby but the staff handled it really well Breakfast was not a five course meal, but it was good nonetheless

It was more than I expected in these times of COVID, and again the staff was really helpful They went so far as to help one of my youngest children make a waffle since he was confused about the machine Very clean, and safe The water pressure was pretty low in the shower but again, nothing to really complain about The only thing I would 100% say is to NOT take the elevator That bad boy took longer to wait for than the stairs and was SLOW But the hotel is only 4 stories tall so unless you have knee or back problems the stairs are easy to take All in all, I would recommend this hotel and stay here again without any issues

I was blown away with how nice this hotel was! Very clean, nice security, small parking lot with about 15 or 20 spaces on the premises Once you check in you get the ticket for your designated parking space if they are not fully booked Very nice new rooms, nice little breakfast in the morning, front desk was great! Just overall a great experience

Nicer than hotels in higher price points!

We’ve stayed here quite a few times, the last time before our recent stay being pre-pandemic The location is convenient to the city, the beds are comfortable, breakfast is decent enough, parking is free My daughter and I stayed in room 804 and our experience was the room is really in need of some TLC

1 Temp control was hit-or-miss, the thermostat being well-handled and old2 Furniture in the living room is Salvation Army-grade and there’s way too much of it for the small space3 Remote control did not work4 Kitchen faucet leaked5 The toilet seat was loose and moved side-to-side and I was not about to reach under there to tighten it6 The coffee maker was fun; the little spring-loaded button in the bottom of the filter basket did not hit the carafe lid, so the coffee stayed in the basket rather than draining into the potThis used to be a nice hotel but it’s becoming run-down It’s clean for the most part and convenient to the ferry terminal, the parking is free, the access to the promenade restaurants and to Pier 115 is a plus, but it’s just starting to feel old and neglected We’ll probably stay here again but we might just try somewhere else

I stayed here for two nights and three days I felt good when I checked in The lady at the counter was very kind

I liked the room, too A room with two queen beds and a living room with a sofa were separated It is free breakfast time from 6 AM to 10 AM I was also satisfied with the quality of their food I will stay at here again when I come back to NYC next time

ortalama vatandas

Great location, great size of the room, very decent food for breakfast, free parking Only thing to improve would have been the furniture in the room was very dirty and old I used cleaning wipes for the chairs and I covered the sofa with my blanket that I carry in the car to make sure my clothing does not get any stains from the furniture

One of the chairs had literally some black stuff like machine oil or something Since the linens, tile surfaces and bedding were clean I did not complain Room had water front view so overall great value for the price I wish they had let us do late check out and did not barge in the room before we were even dressed yet to rush us out before the check out time The asian lady at the front desk was rather mean towards us but rest of the staff was very cordial

The location of the hotel was perfect but the experience was not We flue in from CA and stayed here with my husband for his birthday As we have a small child we picked the hotel because it offers in room dining from their Michelin starred restaurant downstairs

On his birthday We placed our order at 4pm for 9pm dinner At 9 when no one had arrived i called to check on the order and was told that it was “on the cart ready to be bought up” At 9:30 no one arrived so I sent my husband downstairs to check, at which point we where told that they forgot our order and the kitchen is closed !!! and offered their regular room service insteadHow??? i called to confirm when kitchen was open and was told not to worry! The manager said he would comp our dinner tomorrow and write to his boss to see what else can be done to make up for this horrible mistake The next day no one got back to us, i tried to talk to concierge and was told the manager is busy but she will call me in our room of course no one called At check out i retold the whole story and the manager said since we prepaid for our suite nothing could be done i offered that if they won’t charge us for our hotel bill i would be fine with that She agreed and said if anything she will email methree days later i see charges on my CC ????? no emails, no phone calls, nothing this is suppose to be 5 star service???

The room has classic design, with touches of the city I got to stay in few hotels in the city past couple weeks while my apartment being renovated The vanity sink’s stopper was broken, and was not draining water

The fact that this wasn’t spotted from the house keeping gave me some doubt about the hotel’s room preparation They did promptly send someone to fix the sink – though, to me at least, it was sanitary concern, that was below my expectation for the hotel

Make sure to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏᴄᴏm when booking your hotel They compare thousands of booking web sites and typically will have prices much cheaper than others! Thank me later on! This resort is one of my favorites in the area

I’ve been staying here for years If you choose this place you definitely will love it I’m sure! This was a super comfortable space We had our own locker in our room without extra cost (bring a padlock), the food and coffee it’s good, nice and bilingual service (Spanish and English) It’s a safe space to stay just a few blocks from Central Park It’s not cheap but for the location and clean rooms and bathrooms it’s worth it

Sam Frost

Pros:Clean rooms and bathroomNice little cafe downstairs with plenty of tables to sit atFriendly staffCons:There are a Lot of younger people

And when I say young, I mean 16-18 year olds and even younger than that They were extremely loud on the evening, quite distracting when I just wanted to chill I feel like the hostel should have an 18+ age restrictionAlso the cafe closes really early too I’d often get back around 2pm and it was already shut for the day so it’s only available in the morning time which is a bit inconvenientOverall, a pleasant stay I travelled on my own and met a couple of other friendly solo travelers, however most people stick to themselves so if you are relying on meeting others then I’d recommend somewhere else Friendly and helpful staff Also it’s a great location too! A short subway ride to times square/Broadway and a short walk to Central Park which was perfect

Katie Brooks-Halling

Superb hostel! I’m travelling the US alone and NYC was my first stop The room was super clean, as were the showers, the staff super friendly, and it is less than a one minute walk to the subway which takes you straight downtown where all the most common attractions are (line 1) Met the most amazing people and wouldn’t hesitate to rebook!! Very decent pricing for NYC too! I understand why all the reviews rave about it

Highly Highly recommend
