My sister and I stayed there this weekend and the room was spacious and clean The beds were incredibly comfortable The little cafe in the lobby had some really great food

I recommend the Curry Pan and the French Toast, the best french toast I’ve ever had The staff was all incredibly friendly towards me, from the front desk people, the people helping at the door, housekeeping, and cafe workers And it’s all so incredibly close to literally everything in Little Tokyo Would definitely come back to this hotel 👍

This is a clean, well-maintained hotel in downtown Los Angeles The beds are comfortable; the bathroom was spotlessThe ventilation and air conditioning unit worked well

Nice little things like dental care bags in the bathroom The hotel staff is very nice and helpfulEasy walk to many places, including great Little Tokyo restaurants More like a 4-star hotel than a 3-star oneI recommend the hotel and will stay here again

Kayla Rodriguez

The hotel definitely surpassed my expectations The remodel is absolutely stunning It has a retro modern look that reminds me of something that Donald Draper from mad men would stay at

The room was very large and clean Also, the bed was very comfortable They are also conveniently located near universal studios They offer a free shuttle to universal studios or you can take an over which costs about 5 dollars Next time I’m on the area I’ll definitely stay at the garland

Gabby Vale

Very bad experience, the location was ok but terrible service and disgusting room , sheets duty , no iron on the room , the blow dryer burn in my hands , I left my phone charger in the room and I call the office to they send it to me and the guy very disrespectful, he doesn’t want shipping to me and hang up the phone , so I don’t recommend this hotel if you don’t want a bad experience find another much better option, trust me I will never back to “epic hotel” 👎🏻

You gets 5 stars from our family! We needed to replace our water heater and did not get any call backs from the others local technician contacted or with prices really high So frustrating! Called this company and was able to schedule service for convenient time for me Technician arrived on time, so courteous and professional! Happy customer!

When I’m in the dog house, (which is more often then I care to admit to), this is my spot The rooms are very clean and the husband/wife on duty are always curteous and respectful, (to me that is) at $80 for a night minus the bed bug bites and twacked out neighbors keeping you up and with your finger on the, ahemmm, remote control button, pointed at the door, can’t beat it

First time at hotel Outstanding staff, everyone here were outstanding, friendly, going above and beyond, even the dining staff, breakfast was extremely tasty, omelets to order were spot on Room was spacious, loved the bathroom and shower, all the amenities offered were greatly appreciated

Just outstanding folks here that made my short stay here, memorable Great view from balcony overlooking the mountains in the distance If afforded the opportunity to return to the area, will stay here again

This place seems great for an event and that’s it Paid extra for a view, that view was of palm trees right at our balcony A/C leaked in the room

I guess they don’t clean rooms at this hotel, while you’re staying If you stay on the weekend during an event good luck on parking Make sure you get parking permit so you don’t get a ticket They failed to give us one Showers are super, super small, my wife is 49ft tall and even she thought they were small Make sure the luggage bell carts tires are not flat before you take it to your room and load up a weeks worth of luggage The value just isn’t there, to make this place worth it A business trip for a night probably very nice A family for 5 days no way!! And make sure the nice nice lady is working before you ask for towels Our you get asked a 1000 questions

April Carrasquillo

Disappointed in the cleanliness and the breakfast The entrance to the hotel is beautiful but the rooms leave a lot to be desired The floors were dirty, the rooms need a deep cleaning and safety locks on the windows

One room we stayed in didn’t even have screens on the windows let alone safety locks to protect children — on the fourth floor I’d like to believe they are short staffed and that is the reason for the unkept state of things but there were often multiple people behind the front desk We’ve stayed at many different Hilton locations — this was the most expensive and the worst one The laundry room is dirty and floods when the washing machine is used So many issuesThe people were kind and changed our room when the first room was dirty and again later after our son vomited in the second We were very thankful for that

I’m writing this review for my sister because doesn’t like leaving negative reviews for no one But I think it’s important to let others know, how important matters are handled at this hotel We booked two rooms on 6/24-6/26 for my sisters wedding

Everything was good at the hotel, until we checked out I told my husband I forgot a card in there and he went back and the woman at the front desk was rude about allowing him back in Now my sister had already left before us Later in the afternoon while at home she was unpacking and repacking because she was leaving to her honeymoon the next day, she noticed her black sleeve with her documents was not there She went to ask me and we started looking for it everywhere By now it was 4-5 in the afternoon so when she called the hotel they told her front desk told her housekeeping had left So she called back Monday front desk woman told she would make a note of it, because housekeeping was not in yet Whoever took her calls never made a note of it, never advised their manager that missing items were reported missing from room 133 So mind you no one got back to her She returned Fri and spoke to the manager Cindy, she told her no note was made and she would call back because she didn’t know if housekeeping was there She did call her back only to say, she would have to call her back on sat Now sat arrives she does call her, only to say nothing was found I understand they trust their employees but you really think they will turn something in when 5 days have passed since the items were reported?! I don’t think so So at this hotel that is not cheap to stay at all they could say is they trust their employees after a lot of days have passed by, and the front desk employees don’t do their job right No notes was made of this They robbed my sister’s birth certificate social security cards for her and her husband and a gold blue key necklace which she doesn’t care for it But her documents she does And all she got is a sorry!!! Unacceptable

We travel quite a lot and normally stay at Marriott properties We recently traveled to Los Angeles and stayed at the Fairfield Inn and Suites in Rosemead Our room and the entire hotel was extremely clean and very quiet

The staff were extremely helpful especially Irene who assisted with our check-out, Sergio who welcomed us upon our late arrival, and I believe Natasha who we called requesting a quiet room further from elevators and with a pool view as opposed to street view Everyone of these three were extremely friendly, helpful and welcoming We would certainly stay here again when traveling to LA

Alicia Randolph

Stayed here to do somecollege visits Basically we slept here and ate the breakfast

Hotel was clean Staff was friendly and helpful Gym was clean and had water and towels Typical gym for hotel like this 4 cardio machines and some dumbells up to like 50 lb and a multipurpose bench The breakfast was decent There was enough there to get the job done My only complaint is the shower in our room sprayed water everywhere and I mean it hit almost every spot in that bathroom I was worried about us slipping on the floor so I covered the floor in towels Other than that no complaints

Lin Simon

The reception is responsive and welcoming However, the room is outdated No A/C controller

The TV is not smart one, so the picture quality is awful The jacuzzi seems to be broken It is very cold when night Daily parking is $10 And I don’t see any representatives coming here to respond to cutomers’ feedbacks So, very disapponted Only 1 star

Great hotel Staff is very kind, its in a great location Right next to an outlet center within walking distance, Rooms are large and well priced

A little aged, but we never heard our neighbors and the floors are sturdy Bathrooms are huge and the restaurantwow we each got something different and we all enjoyed it completely My only complaint is don’t get a room next to the elevator as you can hear it all night Other then that awesome! Would happily visit again

Anthony Atha

The room was fine, Just what you would expect from a standard Hilton property What really stood out to me was the staff When I arrive my phone was dead so I couldn’t use my digital key, I ask the lady at the front desk to print me a copy, and she offered me some waters and was quick and efficient

After unpacking I quickly realized I forgot to bring a travel toothpaste, so I headed back up front and a gentleman provided me with complimentary toothpasteAs always DoubleTree provided their delicious cookies My stay was quick, but this is a nice property If you have more time, it sits right in the parking lot of the Citadel outlets

For a hotel you need to spend a night or two away, this place honestly gets the job done No complaints on my end Not overly luxurious but not a drop dead dirty motel

Some parts of this hotel do seem a little more run down than others Good A/C Pool included Bar in the evening and reasonably priced breakfast and brunch, not complimentary like other hotels, but coffee is free Staff is very friendly and lobby is nice and cleanDistance to DTLA is roughly 20 minutes and to other areas like Hollywood and Santa Monica, you can expect around 30-40 A lot of commercial areas nearby Montebello and places to get foodMe and my partners room was abundantly clean, staff did a great job TV with cable, microwave, fridge, coffeemaker and safe box We stayed on the fifth floor Hallways were quiet for most of the night and we did not experience any noise complaints, hardly heard anything throughout the entire eveningOverall, good place to stay Worth the cost and worth the amenities I know all rooms aren’t the same but for our experience, we had a very comfortable and relaxed time

Becky Raborg

While we loved the room and the staff was great it was a heck of a long walk to the rooms at the other end of the hall! The pool needed to be skimmed and there were no towels We had to go searching for someone to bring some then they never came back to bring more

Also, there were no signs to tell you how to get to the pool

Jaime Mitchell

I am currently staying at this location I checked in last night for a 3 night stay On arrival, my family of 4 and I only had a set towels for two people

I had to request towels for my family and I on 3 separate occasions I called to remind the front desk and eventually sent my nephew downstairs to retrieve what we needed Tonight we arrived after a day of sight seeing and the ENTIRE parking lot is full because of 2 parties on site I had to park across the street at the mall As a paying customer, I don’t feel that is providing excellent customer service I have the recommendation to have the guest of those hosting the party RSVP so that they can get a count of how many parking passes are needed for the mall parking Those visiting the property for the festivities should be made to park at the mall As a paying customer, I find this unacceptableWhen I brought this issue to the front desk personnel, I was just told they had two parties going on, and that they were sorry for the inconvenience I will not be returning here

Really glad we choose this hotel It was not the cheapest in the area but the slightly higher cost is worth it The room was of a good standard and very clean

The complimentary breakfast was surprisingly good with many choices including bacon, sausage, eggs, omelets and also waffles and toast, etc There was also many cold options such as cereal, yogurt and fruitsThe hotel has an outdoor pool and a reasonably well equipped gymThe whole place is very clean and modern and the staff seem attentive and professional

D2P Cams

I would like to commend these Three women, Alexis, Natalie and Erica are the most helpful and knowledgable of the front desk staff i have had the privilege to deal with while staying at a hotel they are friendly and should be modeled as exemplary employees I wish everyone was as kind and welcoming as they are

Breakfast is good/consistent and there is something to be said about Reina and Alicia who are amazing as far as keeping up with cleaning and food prep and Hospitality All around a good experience but these people made the stay The outdoor pool is open until 9pm as well as the indoor gym Parking is kind of limited and has Semi parking in the back portion of the parking lot behind Denny’s Thank you to everyone who made my stay enjoyable!!!

Melanie Martinez

We stay here every time be come to cali, breakfast is great, we loved how deep the pool is the good equipment for the gym, but the 2 last times we came, our restrooms locks never lock, room 402 doesn’t lock, 404 does Room 402 had ANTS in the bathroom THE BATHROOM DOES NOT HAVE A FAN, every time you take a shower you are sweating it was like a sauna i had to go out at go near the fan to cool down

On September 25, I rented two rooms We arrived very late after driving 10 hours All we wanted was to sleep, so I did not inspect the room when we arrived

The next morning, I noticed that the room was quite dirty When we were about to take a shower, once placing my son on the shower floor, I had noticed that there were shards of glass in the tub Thankfully, my son did not get injured I went to the front office to complain but they did not show any concern They told me they did not know why we found the room like it was, since it was supposedly cleaned I wonder how someone would go in to clean the room and not notice that there was glass Would they have cared if my son had gotten injured?

This WOULD be a 5 star, but two things have cost this place that ratingFirst I want to say that this was a really nice place Largest room of our stay in LA with the most comfortable bed

Nice and clean with stores all aroundOkay now for the bad They charged us 2 times for one night and we have yet to hear from them! That’s ridiculous The second thing is there was a random fake eyelash on the curtains here Why? This was so large anyone could see it from a mile awayTake care of the doubled billed issue and I’ll revise my review Thanks

Terry Skrypnyk

The pros: a good size room that was clean with a comfortable bedThe cons: Coffee machine and hair dryer didn’t work The person checking us in was very direct and left us frustrated by the way the hotel does business

Friendly and personable were not the individual’s strengths My card credit company told me never to give my pin to anybody so not sure why I would give it the staff of the hotel

Elda M Ferguson

I picked this hotel because it was closest to a wedding venue I was attending Sadly the room quality was very very poor Although the rooms are updated and they have excellent cable nice double beds, the cleanliness of the rooms, lacked in abundance

There were burn wholes in our bed sheets and stains was well The floor was so dirty that the bottoms of my new sandals were black with dirt The sink in the room just outside the bathroom I believe has well water instead of regular water from a main line because it smelled so so bad whenever I wanted to wash my hands or brush my teeth it was unbearable As far as location, it was great but everything else was just not up to par I had to clean the toilet myself once we checked in And the iron is tied with metal wire to the ironing board thus making it difficult to iron anything properly

I just had to leave because of having surgery but I have to say this is the best place I’ve li4in since returning to Los Angeles 15 years ago The rooms are fully furnished and comfortablethey are the best studio type of apartments i have seen in LA

The rent is better than places not half as nice The weekly maid service is a bonus you won’t find anywhere else They laundry is cheaper than anywhere I’ve previously live The management i is outstanding in their treatment of tenants I’ve never felt more comfortable anyplace else I’ve lived It’s convenient to the freeway and between two great shopping areas as well as the library, senior center and other places to explore I’m hoping they will have a room for me after I recover from my surgery I can not give a higher recommendation for them than that I would rather live there than anyplace else in Los Angeles
